Exploring The Ruins [Open]

The Sun shone down harshly on the ruins and the two people currently exploring them, Basile had wanted to come here since hearing one of his best friends talk about this place. A Long forgotten civilisation, impossibly advanced that just disappeared over night. The inhabitants, most technology, just gone. He wondered what kind of horrific technology could do such a thing, to wipe out so many lives in a single night. The only thing that could really compare from the human was the Atom Bomb and even then. They'd been exploring for hours and were still only inside what could have been the outskirts.
Basile had bought several things from the digital world fascinated by the technology on offer, he'd gotten a wrist mounted grappling hook that auto-retracted. He'd bought it effectively because it reminded him of Batman. He'd bought an EV Suit just to ensure he was always comfortable despite the weather conditions, never too hot nor cold. He'd bought a Mini Diving Kit that was effectively a full human diving suit in what appeared to be 2 pieces of equipment. He'd also bought a Digi-Port A, It seemed helpful to be able to leave and re-join the human world whenever he pleased, even if the location wasn't controllable.
Basiles outfit had changed, he was wearing what was essentially an open loose-collared white jacket with no shirt underneath, displaying his athletic physique, He had his grappling hook on his left wrist, taking the form of a red and black coloured wristband almost, going halfway to his elbow. There was just enough a bump at the wrist that he could fire the hook from and retract it. He was wearing his usual blue jeans and his normal sneakers. The Aryan boy was also benefiting from his EV Suit, not that you'd be able to see it due to the nature of the EV suit.
Still, Basile was fascinated by the ruins, they were ancient but heavily advanced, even further beyond what he'd seen in the digital world.
Cinder was looking around, not really understanding why her tamer was so fascinated with the ruins. It was just some broken stuff, hell a Mega level could have done this in a week. It could have been a group of Mega's trying to rebel or something, at the end of the day this place was broken and that was sad, but really in the grand scheme of things it wasn't something that important. In an ironic twist of fate, there roles were now switched around. Her tamer was the one now fascinated with a foreign world and its inhabitants and Cinder was the one completely at ease with it.
Although, Cinder was greatly enjoying walking around in her rookie form, it was nice to stretch her legs and to even have legs. Floating around as a spiky orb wasn't exactly the most elegant of forms and offered very little mobility, her new form 'Coronamon' had a more humanoid body and was very enjoyable to actually move around. She'd figured out that she had an attack similar to a 'machine gun' whatever one of those, it was just a rapid fire stream of attacks that while weaker than normal rookie attacks was nearly relentless in its onslaught and she could fire it for a very long time.
Her other technique was a roar that was capable of stopping projectiles dead and launching any digimon caught in it backwards nearly half a dozen metres back. This form was suited for her preferred form of combat, she had an attack that she could fire while closing the distance, a projectile and digimon blocking roar and whenever she struck something, in addition to the kinetic force of her punches and kicks, a small explosion of flame emanated from the area on the enemy/target struck.
Currently the little Coronamon was lying on a rooftop, relaxing while her tamer played in the broken debris and flitted from 'exciting' thing to 'exciting' thing. Some 'degenerates' disliked the heat and the sun but Cinder loved it, the light and heat of the sun felt heavenly on her skin/fur. She wondered what Today would bring, hopefully someone who was worth interacting with. She couldn't stand rude people, or Virus types.

"Whoa..." Adrian says as he and his partner Shoutmon walked up to these old-looking ruins. "I didn't know the Digital World had buildings too... or what's left of them, anyways."
"This could've been done yesterday," Shoutmon shrugs. "It's really nothing new for me."
"Well, it is for me, so let's go," Adrian says as he goes on without his partner, who just sighs and followed him anyway. The relatively tall teenager stared at the ancient ruins, which seemed very advanced to him. He had never quite seen anything like this before...
"I'm bored," Shoutmon complained.
"Come on, this stuff is cool," Adrian said to the red dragon as he rubbed his hand slowly over a piece of ruined building. Man, to see what happened here... "Wait... do you get the feeling someone is here?"
"Yeah... I do..." Shoutmon nods.
Just in case, Adrian pulled out his D-Arc Digivice. He didn't know what to expect next...

Basile was still searching through the ruins in the surrounding area, picking up different pieces, his mind racing through possibilities of what their function was. Ignoring the generic building pieces of course. As he roamed deeper into the ruins he noticed that the ruins seemed to get heavily packed the further one went into them... which indicated a more civilian city, a military city would have been set out in a straight pattern, each building identical to the last with the exception of high ranking officers quarters.
As he walked down a rookie sized 'street' he came to a rather large amount of debris that was blocking the road, with no clear alleys or side streets he could take but plenty of intact buildings, Basile aimed his grappling hook at a the lip of a sturdy looking rooftop. He fired and a mechanical whirring noise echoed through the air before the magnetic grappling hook latched onto the roof and the auto-retracting motors kicked in. With the hook being attached the only one capable of moving in this situation was Basile, With a rush of adrenaline as he soared through the air to a ledge and managed to clamp onto said ledge with his free hand.
Taking a deep breath as he disengaged the grappling hook and lifted himself up, he couldn't help but laugh, he was not prepared for today. As he was clambering to his feet, he saw the ruins stretching on into the horizon. The ruins were massive! He stood there for quite a while, just drinking in the sheer scale of the city... what could have possibly done this? to wipe out this entire civilisation over night. Curiouser and Curiouser, Basile thought as he saw a lot more damage further in.
Cinder sighed as her tamer wandered off further into the ruins, she was still enjoying the sun on her skin and it wasn't like he was that far, she'd still be able to catch up with him. He was only human after all, still the mental bond they shared was getting a tad tiresome. Feeling nothing but 'shock' and 'awe' constantly was interesting for a period, but now it was just getting dull...
Cinder sighed, getting up and stretching. Cinder felt where her tamer was through their bond and started jumping from rooftop to rooftop as she closed the distance to her tamer. Idly jumping between the rooftops as her mind wandered back to Miyu and Bloom, her friends? yeah that sounded right. At least when Basile was chatting with them Cinder got to enjoy watching her tamer embarrass Miyu though a more cynical side of her really didn't like that either was competing for his attention with herself.
Cinder idly noted that the rooftop Basile had stopped on must have been at least two stories tall, maybe three using human measurements. The Rooftops she'd been jumping from hand been only a single or in human terms a 'bungalow'. Sighing, Cinder mentally calculated the angle and shot jets of flames out of her limbs to launch herself up onto the third story roof, stopping half way in the air as to not damage the three story building. The closest intact building however (the one Cinder launched herself from) didn't fare quite so well as the fire ripped through the ancient building and caused it to collapse in on itself. The rooftop itself was as flat as flat could be, a single long slab of concrete, no trapdoors or stairs leading up... then again, Digimon didn't need either.

As Adrian and Shoutmon were looking around the ruins, Adrian thought he heard something. It sounded like something was being shot...
"Was that... what was that?" Adrian asks himself as he follows the source of the sound, leaving Shoutmon behind to stare at a piece of weird, ancient machinery, which he was poking at with his microphone.
As Adrian got closer and closer, he had just barely missed him; he definitely saw a kid going up, holding onto a rope of some kind. "Where did they get a grappling hook?!" He asked. He saw the person go up to some kind of building. "Now how do I get up there...?"
The red Digimon and tamer were both doing their own thing when they heard what sounded like a building collapsing. Unfortunately for Shoutmon... he was in said building.
"CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP!" He yelled as he made his way out of the falling building, thankfully just getting out in time. "Alright, who did that?!"

OOC - Weight comments are based on BMI Index entry.
Basiles excitement at discovering a new civilisation and exploring the ruins, died a swift brutal death as he heard some obnoxious sounding digimon yelling... Joy. Noise no doubt amplified but some tier feature the presumably rookie form possessed, Its voice was a tad too high to be a champion. He decided that he'd ignore them, if he ignored his problems then they'd go away. Without something to help them climb up the obnoxious person? digimon? would have to scamper up the outside of the building, with no roof access from the inside they'd effectively have to sheer climb the intact building.
Basile kept over looking the ruins, what ancient secrets and wonders was this civilisation capable of before there destruction? It was staggering if you had the intelligence to comprehend that idea. He heard Cinder snickering behind him and couldn't help but smile to himself as her surveyed the ruins, even from that high up they stretched out into the horizon and obscured his vision of the forest on the other side. Basile sighed and turned looking at the still smirking Cinder who held up a hand and walked back to the other side of the roof.
Basile couldn't help chuckling, he knew what Cinder would do. He didn't know the language she would use, because she was an unpredictable little spitfire and both knew it. He just knew that she'd say something to make the person below mad, It'd probably be a joke but as he tapped into their mental bond he was overwhelmed by the sheer number of jokes or comments rushing through Cinder's mind, Anime scenes she found funny, common knock knock jokes, dozens of witty comments. He loved his partner sometimes.
Cinder smirked at her tamer as she walked back towards the obnoxious sounding voices, dozens of jokes running through her mind, She could go with any number of them, but how to deliver the lines? Deadpan? Confused ? irritated as if the two had just woke her up? She looked over the side of the building and saw.... well that was disappointing. A brat with blonde hair and green eyes and presumably his partner...who honestly looked like what the eighties thought was cool. A red digimon with a pair of headphones and a microphone...
Not to take an easy shot but the kid seemed a little on the chubby side too, what was he 200lbs at 'too damn young' ? She didn't know much of humans but from what Basile had told her that humans could have severe complications from weight... the kid didn't seem that far gone yet so there was still hope. Anyway, back to the important thing, she'd finally picked out the joke she was going to use 'Moshi Moshi! Cinder-Desu!'
According to her tamer it was a common theme in Anime where apparently human phone lines tended to be faulty for some reason. The digimon wouldn't understand but the human probably would. She shrugged, either they got the joke or didnt, wasn't her problem.

Adrian was still figuring out how to get to the top of that building when Shoutmon came running up to him, yelling and breathing heavily. "Shoutmon?" He asked his Digimon, confused. "What happened?"
"AN ENTIRE FREAKING BUILDING FELL OVER," Shoutmon yelled loudly, making Adrian groan and cover his ears.
"Okay, we need to work on your inside voice," Adrian says with a hint of cynicism in his voice.
"But we're outside-"
"You know what I mean!"
Suddenly, the two of them heard a voice saying "Moshi Moshi! Cinder-desu!" After hearing that, the two of them turned around, now back to back, and Adrian holding a card in his hand.
"Who was that?" Adrian yelled.
"Come on out right now!" Shoutmon demanded.

Basile could only sigh as Cinder out right spoke to them and they still couldn't figure out where she was, She was on the same building as him and they still couldn't figure it out. What fresh hell was this!? Rubbing at his temples with both hands as he tried to will the incoming migraine away by sheer force of will. Standing up, he turned away from the interesting sight and walked over to the lip of the building seeing what effectively amounted to a punk kid holding a digivice like a weapon and what looked like a yugioh card, along side 'Living in the eighties'-mon. This was his day. He was in hell.
As he stood next to Cinder peering over the edge, he started to weight up the merits of waiting till they figured it out themselves... but figured that they'd just continue to be loud and obnoxious until someone acknowledged them. 'Up here smart guys' Basile said in a not unfriendly manner, though it certainly wasn't friendly either. It was polite but guarded. Maybe he'd be wrong, maybe they'd have manners and once you got to know them they weren't so bad.... he could hope right?
This pair of people were seemingly in the 'Koba' pile, he supposed there was time yet though, they could very easily get out of that pile by being polite. He really hoped that just for once his first impression would be wrong. It had to happen at least once right? Right!?
Cinder for the first time looked at the heavens and wondered to herself, what cruel god/mon put her on the same earth as this pair of degenerates? Between the humans she'd met this far she liked her Tamer and Miyu and that was literally it! why did every other human have to be either racist, dumb or obnoxiously loud!? it was like every human was defective with the exception of her tamer and maybe miyu. It was infuriating! how could you miss someone peaking over the three story building he was looking at and speaking to you!?
Cinder could only growl angrily and then said, Ironically a few seconds before her tamer 'Up here! I had meant to open with a joke but apparently looking up is hard!' both seemed to be in a fairly sour mood at the moment, Her tamer was an intellectual and sought to better himself at all stages in his life. Cinder couldn't stand stupidity, it was a good combination and their relationship only benefited from the arrangement. Looking at the pair on the ground floor she could only think that these two had a shared stupidity that benefited their arrangement.
Considering how loud the digimon is, She couldn't be that far off right? The human didn't seem much better following a regular comment after hearing her own he was yelling at the top of his lungs like a gorilla...then again, humans were related to monkeys after all... She supposed that if the little human below couldn't get the looks or the brains, he had to get whatever was left, though in this case that appeared to be the lungs.

I've inherited Shoutmon's stupidity... Adrian thinks harshly as he looks up to see a blonde haired kid and a Flaremon looking down at them. God damn it... how could I miss them?!
"Wow! Were you guys, like, invisible or something?!!!" Shoutmon asks, clearly still not getting it.
Adrian, still too ashamed, doesn't really say anything. He certainly wasn't dumb, but after spending all that time with Shoutmon, he's surprised it's taken this long for his stupidity to rub off on him.
He also didn't find Cinder's joke that funny at all.
"Even Shoutmon's attempts at jokes are better," Adrian tells the Flaremon. "And they are usually stupid puns!"
"Hey, they're not stupid," Shoutmon tried to argue, but Adrian ignored him.
"Sorry about the... stupid introduction," Adrian tells the new tamer and Digimon. "Clearly, my partner's lack of brains is rubbing off on me... My name's Adrian. You wanna come down or do you expect us to get up there? Either way works."

Basile sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose between his fingers as he was accused of being invisible for the Digimon below him. How did it make any sense that because the digimon hadn't looked up that both Cinder and himself had been invisible... how could he be this dumb? The digimon had to understand basic perspective right? It had to be a joke that he thought they were invisible. At least the human understood the sheer stupidity of his Digimon.
The Kid seemed reasonable enough, Seemed reasonably ashamed of himself and the digimon, good. There was hope that one yet. Apparently the kid didn't like jokes. That's okay, not everyone has a good sense of humour. Eyes rolling as he looked down at the two both figuratively and literally, he couldn't help but feel disappointed that this was the second person he'd met who knew of the digital world and the first In the digital world. He'd hoped for someone cool, with experience. A Grizzled old veteran with way too many war stories...
What'd he'd gotten was a very loud, very rude obnoxious kid and digimon whose volume setting seemed permanently stuck to 110%. He could only sigh as the brat managed to insult Cinder who despite her reluctance had tried to be friendly by opening with a joke. Way to reinforce her 'Digimon are superior' opinion... though judging by his partner... maybe not. Basile shook his head and turned and went back to observing the ruins in his previous spot, Taking out a sketch pad, Pencils and erasers and sat down on the edge of the roof and started deciding how he wanted to start this picture.
Cinder almost couldn't stand the sheer stupidity emanating from this Shoutmon, It was nearly suffocating. He thought they'd been Invisible Really? Could... he not look up? or was having a neck far beyond his intellectual talents? At least the tamer understood how stupid his digimon was, It made her feel just a tad better. Not that much better, she still had to interact with these people. But just a little better.
And then the little idiot insulted her outright, Clearly she'd thought too soon. She watched as her tamer turned around and went back to doing something interesting and she wished to god-mon that she could join him. But if she did, the pair would somehow clamber themselves up here and no doubt continue to bother the pair of them. The Shoutmon claimed, fallaciously that his jokes weren't stupid.
The brat kept talking, blaming his own degeneracy on his Digimon and introducing himself as 'Adrian'...Meh, comments on the name weren't exactly springing to mind right now. If he could get up... why not make him do it? If nothing else it'll help him get back down to a reasonable body weight. Smirking down at them 'By all means, come on up if you can!' Either the two would launched themselves three stories off of the ground and up onto the building, which she significantly doubted due to the power level of a rookie-level digimon. Or they'd go inside, clamber up two flights of the stairs and blow a whole in the roof which would then collapse inwards and knock down the tower. Seeing as the tower had neither a fire escape up onto the roof nor an entrance to the roof from the building and her Tamer had only gotten up via Grappling Hook and she herself had to obliterate a surrounding building to get up here... it wasn't looking good for the two.

Alright, so they had to get up to the top of that building. Should be a piece of cake, since they had the Jump card!
However, Adrian noticed that there was an opening in the building that Cinder was on top of. Maybe if they were lucky, there was a way that could lead naturally up onto the roof...?
No wait, these buildings seemed ancient. A small hole could lead the entire building falling apart. Jumping up will have to do.
"Ready, Shoutmon?" Adrian asked, pulling out his D-Arc. If Basile and Cinder knew what a D-Arc was, they would've guessed what they were about to do.
"Ready," Shoutmon nods.
"I really hope your landing doesn't topple the building over..." Adrian mutters before pressing a button. "Shoutmon, digivolve!"
"Shoutmon, digivolve to... SuperShoutmon!"
In Shoutmon's place now stood a similar looking creature, but it was now even taller than Adrian, and was covered in golden armor, with a gold scarf, too.
"I think I got this without Rabbit Feet, Adrian." SuperShoutmon says, in a more confident and refined voice than his Rookie form. "Just hold on tight, okay?"
Not entirely sure what to hold on to, Adrian just grabbed on tightly to SuperShoutmon's scarf. "Okay, I'm all se- WHOA!" Before Adrian had even finished talking, SuperShoutmon flew right up into the air, most definitely scaring Adrian a bit, before the two of them landed right beside Cinder. "Warn me when you're gonna jump next time...."

Basile had sat with his legs crossed by now, on the far end of the building and was sketching out the closest buildings in his view, making sure he caught all the minute little details, often erasing small imperfections and re-drawing them. This was going on his pegboard at home, as would many other sketches to come. After some small deliberation, he made a pair of small figures on the closest building, One with blonde hair and a small fluffy red blob sitting next to him, a small flame in her hand.
Speaking of, his Partner had at this point returned to his side and sat down on the edge of the building. Letting her legs swing in the air. He couldn't help but smile at his partner, it'd been a hell of a journey but he wouldn't trade it for the world. Naturally during this serene, peaceful moment in his life was when the screaming of the other digimon started, as the light behind Basile started fading he could only sigh as no doubt the two nuisances would now have a way up here and would continue to bother him.
the near deafening boom as the champion tier digimon landed carrying his tamer rocked the building ominously. Basile could only groan in annoyance as the building shook. Speaking with two for the first time Basile could only growl out 'No, Please continue damaging these ruins, it's not like they're ancient or have signs of being more advanced than current technology, no please. Continue destroying digital history for the sake of showing off an incredibly tacky evolution. Morceau de merde!' slipping back into his native tongue in his anger.
As Cinder walked next to her tamer and sat down on the edge of the building, watching her tamer work. This was fairly rare for him to actually draw, it was usually reserved for grand glorious images, such as Whitewater or Luminas, It was rare for him to indulge in drawing like this for what was effectively rubble, She supposed that this was just another weird human thing, they tended to find old things somewhat beautiful for some reason, she'd seen all sorts of human photographs and such that showed older buildings and structures.
Even older loved ones were kept in photographs and such, it was a way of proving they existed and to help jog memories with them in. Cinder wasn't exactly an art aficionado but she thought it was quite an accurate drawing, the buildings looked right and the pair of figures depicting them both were very small but had his hairstyle and her general body shape. Naturally this is when the digimon from the otherside of the building started screaming to the world that he was digivolving. It sounded like they were desperate for attention to be honest.
And then it landed where she'd been standing. It looked incredibly tacky, in her honest opinion. It was a golden version of its former Digivolution. She could only growl as he the entire building shook from the champions impact of landing or that could be the tamer digging into the concrete, but she doubted it was that likely.
