The sun was high and the ocean was rather calm today. Or at least at that hour of the day. Desmond was laying on the sand breathing heavily. Just a few minutes ago, he was being chased by a rather large Digimon that most likely wanted to eat him. It also should be noted it was his partner, the every joyful DemiMeramon that decided to throw fireballs at the said angry Digimon. But let's rewind back a bit first.
Desmond was just cleaning around his small shop when his partner began pressing all the keys on the laptop that he placed on the ground. Apparently, the movie that he was watching on Netflix was over and he didn't know what to do but to smash every key available. The sound of that made the human quickly turn his attention to him and sigh. "Please don't break it." He said before going to the Digimon. "Let me get you another movie." As he sat down, the DemiMeramon jumped, or floated slightly higher, to be between the laptop and his tamer. "Desmond." He called his name. The Frenchman did not answer. "Desmond?" He called again. Again no reaction from the tamer. "Desmond?" This time it was louder. "Give me a second." He finally said before pressing the enter key. For some reason, the screen went white and very bright. So bright that Desmond had to close his eyes. And then he felt a very, very uncomfortable feeling. It felt like his body was sucked into something very small.
When he opened his eyes, he wasn't home anymore. He blinked a few times and looked around. He stayed calm for a moment. But it was only a very brief moment. "Uh..." Desmond began moving his head left and right trying to see where he ended up. His heartbeat accelerated as he began breathing faster as well. A long second later, a small voice was heard from below him. "Desmond!" The living fireball shouted his name to get his attention. The human swiftly looked down with eyes wide open in, fear maybe? Maybe fear is too big of a word. "Where... Are we?" He said slowly with hesitation. The DemiMeramon shrugged and began floating around him in a small circle. And he was rather calm compared to his tamer that was now turning his head around to find anything that would look like home. Nothing, nothing was familiar. The human sat down and closed his eyes with his hands. "It's okay,"Desmond, it's a dream just wake up." He said to himself. "Come on, wake up." He repeated twice before hearing his partner say his name. "Desmond. Why are you breathing that heavily?" It would take about a minute before he would answer. The Digimon was saying his name over and over again, which was not helping at all, to be honest. "Desmond!" He repeated again.
By now, Desmond was now on his back, with his eyes still hidden under his hands. "It isn't real." He whispered to himself. But it felt so real though. Too real even. "Desmond!" And the little fireball began floating on his torso make a bit warmer. "What?" The human shouted, maybe too loud. "Are you okay?" His voice was so innocent, he couldn't be angry at him. "Hm..." He wasn't exactly sure if he was alright or not. "Where are we?" He repeated again but this time with less hesitation. "I think we're home!" The Digimon joyfully said. "Home?" He wasn't home, that was not home to him. "We're in the Digital World! My home!" The blond tamer slowly switched to a more comfortable position, sitting on the ground. "How did we get here?" He was trying hard not to panic right now. "I don't know." The DemiMeramon shrugged once more ever so innocently. "Are you going to stay here?" He then asked. "I think we should go to the beach!"
"The beach?" Desmond sighed. He just well, landed in here and now the first thing his partner wanted is to go to a beach? he couldn't believe him, he just wanted to go home. "Erm..." He couldn't find the words to say."Come on, Desmond, let's go to the beach!" And with that, the DemiMeramon began floating in one direction. The human watched him move away from him for a second before standing up and jog to the Digimon. "Do you even know where the beach is?" He asked as he caught up to him. "Nope."
And now fast forward to the present. The duo was now on a beach, in the middle of wherever, Desmond stopped asking questions to his partner that seemingly knew a lot but nothing at the same time. "Desmond." He said while moving in a circle around the human. "Desmond." This time, he was singing. "Urg..." That was all he could say with his eyes closed. "What do you want?" He asked somewhat annoyed. "Nothing." And he kept on singing his name while moving. It would take him about a long minute before standing up and dusting himself. He was calm now. Well, calmer. "What do we do now?" He asked his partner. "I don't know." The living fireball replied happily.
This was going to be a long day. And then, something was heard. A car? A motor for sure. Desmond slowly turned his body to face the direction of the sound hoping that it wouldn't be another hungry Digimon. "DemiMeramon..." The Frenchman motioned his partner to stop singing his name."Shhh... I think someone is coming..." Part of him really wanted to run away as fast as possible. But he didn't, he just, stood there holding his breath. Maybe it would be someone good for a change?

It was actually a rather nice day, sun sat high above, not too hot--just warm enough a breeze was comfy, and the waters would softly crash upon the sands of the beach. The blue ocean seemed to go on forever, and the sands of the beach simply looked inviting...This actually was a rather tranquil spot. That was until... The low rumble of a V-Twin motor could be heard in the distance, slowlly building as it hummed away, the source of the sound was clearly closing in on the duo of Desmond and his floating fireball pal DemiMeramon. First thin they'd see is a rooster tail of sand being thrown off the rear wheel as it spun just barely visible rising over the horizon, followed by the figure of the bike and biker itself coming into view. Sitting upon his Steel Horse (Link), the pipes of the retro styled bike screaming to the tune akin to a Harley, despite it not being one. This would be Coleson Archer, better known as 'Cole'. The tall man was sat comfortably upon the bike's seat, right hand on the throttle--the left resting in his lap. He'd only a couple days ago dislocated his shoulder, so he was trying to take it easy on his left arm. As he got close enough details could be made of the figure--it was clear it was a human, no Digimon looking for an easy snack. He had on a pair of steel toed boots, something he'd changed over to since exploring the Digital World--black in color. His blue jeans was held on by a black leather belt, across the back a series of pouches carrying a number of Cole's items. Anything else was on the bike--tied on the back of it on a small luggage rack was a trio of sleeping bags and a helmet. He himself had no helmet, his long hair flying in the wind--eyes covered by a pair of biker goggles as he rode, and a bandanna covering the lower half of his face. Hung from his belt loop was a key chain was an assortment of items on it, hung from a climber's clip. Among these items was a V-Pet, where Kuyo and Tsuki would go when Cole was on the move on the bike. He had almost gone into a lull, lazily riding without paying much attention, just enough to avoid dips and rocks along the beach. But something caught his eye...there was a man in the distance, and as he got closer Cole could see the Digimon floating next to the French man. Cole let off the throttle and the engine slowly started to loose RPMs, the loud roar becoming a low rumble as he slowed down approaching the duo. Finally Cole came to a stop, left hand having came up to grip the bars and clutch, dropped into neutral as he stopped roughly 10 feet from Desmond and DemiMeramon. Assuming he didn't feel threatened at this point, Cole shut off the motor and leaned back in the seat, eyeing the two. "...You look lost." Cole finally spoke up, speaking to Desmond. "Ooo new friends?" chimed a young man's from Cole's V-Pet, earning a glare down to the device from Cole. "Cole needs more friends." a second, female voice also came from the same device. Cole huffed a sigh and looked back to Desmond. "Sorry about them, they're a couple chatterboxes..." he apologized for the twins interjecting, voice lain with annoyance. A couple snickers could be heard from the V-Pet.

Desmond didn't really move as the man with the bike stopped near them. He just stayed still not saying anything. He was the first human he saw so far and it was a weird feeling of happiness and maybe, fear also. After a second of silence, the DemiMeramon inched closer to Cole and began speaking. "Hi!" He shouted joyfully. "I'm DemiMeramon! I'm a Digimon!" He started waving at him with his tiny arm and then began tugging on his tamer's pants. "This is Desmond! He is not a Digimon!" Desmond sighed and slowly facepalmed. "DemiMeramon..." He whispered probably too low for any of them to understand. "Say hi, Desmond!" The Digimon then went very close to Cole and his bike and poked the front wheel. "Sorry, Desmond doesn't talk much! But he's a good guy! Right, Desmond?" The blond tamer sighed again. "Sorry, I'm erm." He then looked down at the DemiMeramon. "Desmond." The living fireball clapped his hand together. "Desmond! He is Desmond!" Another sigh. "And yeah, we are kind of lost..."
"No, we are not lost! I am never lost!" The DemiMeramon quickly interrupted his tamer. "Are you lost? You seem lost!" Well, he seemed maybe out of place but not necessarily lost. Desmond took a step closer and extending his right hand to shake. "Sorry, don't mind him, he is..." He was going to say a kid but again, the small little fireball interrupted him. "I'm a Digimon!" The Frenchman sighed again, that is going to happen very often in this discussion. "Yes, he is a Digimon. And also a child..." He kind of whispered that last part to Cole. He would wait for him to either shake his hand or not. "So, yeah, Desmond. May I ask you for your name?"
"Also... What is that voice I'm hearing?" He slowly asked while looking at the man on the bike. "That is me, Desmond!" The tamer tried to ignore his partner but the Digimon was now poking his shoe. "Not your voice, the other one..." He was referring to the two voices that came out of Cole's V-Pet. "Wait, you say they?" He then quickly asked. "I don't see anyone but you." Meanwhile, the DemiMeramon was untying his shoelaces for some reason. "I'm here!" He shouted but this time, Desmond completely ignored him. And also had no idea that his partner was now trying his shoes together. "So, DemiMeramon and I are lost for erm... Two days now?"
"No, we are not lost!" The living fireball said while making a rather complicated knot. "Don't mind him."Desmond said still not looking at his partner. "I erm, landed in here two days ago... And got chased that those giants erm..." Is monster the right word? "Digimon!" Oh right, that. "Digimon." He repeated after him. It was then when he tried to take a step back. Without knowing that his shoes were tied together, the blond tamer tripped and fell on his behind. His eyes widening for a second as he touched the sand underneath him. "Ouf!" His eyes quickly glanced at his feet and saw what the DemiMeramon did to his shoes. "DemiMeramon!" he shouted a bit angrily and that made the Digimon laugh. "Desmond! Why are you on the sand?" He was clearly proud of himself. Desmond was about to scold him but knew that it was a lost cause in front of other people. So he just sighed and began untying the shoelaces. Why did he have to make the knot so complex?
"Sorry about that." He managed to say while trying to undo that mess of laces. "Desmond!" The DemiMeramon shouted his name with joy but he got ignored again. "Desmond!" A heavy sigh could be heard from the human. "What?" He bluntly replied. "I want to ride his bike! Can I ride his bike?" The Frenchman looked at him but that little fireball has such a childish smile on his face that made it hard to be mad at him. "Not, you can't." It would take Desmond few more seconds before being able to stand up but he didn't tie his shoes yet.
"Sorry about that. What was your name again?"

Cole would find they wasn't hostile, and it seemed the small fireball had a lot more to say then his tall blonde friend...It would quickly become apparent that the hovering flame Digimon was very....excitable. Before Desmond even spoke up enough for Cole to hear, he'd see DemiMeramon float on up towards his bike, the man wearily eyeing the small Digimon as he came up and would prod at the front tire of the bike. "...I hope you don't melt my tire lil' guy." Cole muttered basically to himself, but DemiMeramon probably heard it. It would seem Cole wasn't the only one with chatterboxes, difference was--DemiMeramon could out-chat the both of Kuyo and Tsuki.
Finally Cole heard Desmond speak up, and confirm they was indeed lost. This was quickly retorted by the small flame, but both men seemed to dismiss it, and Desmond approached Cole. The man would remain seated on his bike, not helping the fact Desmond was already an inch taller then Cole--this just made the difference greater. But Cole would find Desmon'd hand extended out, and after a moment Cole would go ahead and shake Desmond's hand, out of being polite if anything else.
Before Cole could answer with his name Desmond seemed to question and become confused about the extra voices coming from Cole's hip, and what he'd said about them. This was met by the voices speaking up. "'They' have names. I'm Tsuki, nice to meet you sweetie." the female voice came from the device. "I'm Kuyo, nice to hear ya' Desmond." the twin of Tsuki spoke up afterwords gleefully. Of course 'hear' because thats all they could do in the device, hear things. Cole sighed. "Yeah, I'm very familiar with Digimon...the two voices you hear are my partners." Cole explained quickly. The 'I'm familiar with Digimon' part was more directed to DemiMeramon, hoping it'd stop him from saying he's a Digimon repetitively
Desmond would go on to explain how him and DemiMeramon was lost, again the flame digimon denied it, but again he was simply dismissed by the two men. He thought a moment, about the situation Desmond was in...nearly reminded Cole of himself only a few weeks prior...But he didn't have time to think as he watched the tall Frenchmen try to take a step back, only to fall back, finding his shoelaces tied together. Desmond was lucky to not get a laugh from Cole, but the biker was a bit too serious in the moment for that.
It seemed Cole would hardly be able to get a word in, DemiMeramon made it very hard to speak without being interrupted--was probably lucky the hovering flame was too cute to get mad at. Finally the question of Cole's name came up again. "I'm Cole...I'd say it's nice to meet you Desmond but doesn't sound like you're in a good situation out here...you said you showed up 2 days ago? Heh...well, guess at least you didn't become something's lunch." the man would go on to say, tilting his head as he looked at the blonde man.
"I take it you don't know much about Digimon yet do you Desmond...I was in your shoes a few weeks ago." Cole said, finally standing up from the bike and putting the kickstand down so it could rest without his support. After dismounting the motorcycle the man looked to face Desmond. He was about to speak when suddenly digital code ripped frolm his V-Pet, and two Digimon would come from these codes, forming before Desmond's eyes. A BlackGabumon, and BlackAgumon. Both would wave to the man and DemiMeramon.

As Cole's partners came out of the V-pet, the small fireball was already trying to tie the shoelaces of his tamer. Desmond was too busy looking at two other Digimon to notice that the DemiMeramon was up to no good again. The little Digimon was trying to not say anything but had a rather hard time not chuckling. The blond tamer wasn't sure how to feel. They, both Digimon and Cole, seemed like good people seeing that they didn't kill them yet. He then looked down and saw that his partner was once again trying to pull the same prank. Instead of telling him not to do that, he just ignored him. He would stay calm for a bit that way. "Nice to meet you too, Tsuki and Kuyo." He did his best to smile. "Nice to meet you!" The little fireball then shouted after making half a dozen knots. "Hugs!" Turning around to see Cole's partners, the DemiMeramon went forward hug Tsuki. Very persistently too. If she were to stop him, he would just try harder to close the gap between them and go for a full hug. "Hugs!" After doing that, he would do the same with Kuyo.
Meanwhile, Desmond would squat down to untangle the mess his partner did, and that was kind of hard to do so. It wasn't many knots but just randomly crossing the shoelaces together. "Be nice, DemiMeramon." He then said while still looking at his shoes. "Desmond!" The Digimon shouted his name. "Desmond!" He didn't even give him a chance to answer. "Desmond!" That was getting annoying. "What do you want?" His eyes went to look at his partner who was trying the cover his mouth with his tiny arms. "Hugs!" And he went to hug his tamer's leg. "Hugs are nice, Desmond!" The human rolled his eyes and used his long arms to hug back. "Happy?" The fireball Digimon nodded. "Hugs!" And he would hold Desmond in his tiny arms for a second or two before going back to look at Cole and his partners. "Oh, Oh!" He then said before floating toward Cole. "There's something on your boot!" Moving forward to poke at the boot, he then suddenly inched closer to hug his leg as well. "Hugs!" Now he was happy.
"Sorry about him..." Desmond would then said before standing up, this time with his shoelaces tightly knotted so that the DemiMeramon wouldn't be able to mess it them so easily. "He likes meeting new people." Well, to be honest, Desmond too liked meeting new people that didn't seem like they were going to eat them. "Yeah, two days. I think." The days and nights weren't exactly like in the real world, at least it seemed that way. "You have been here for weeks?" That sounds like an awful amount of time. Fortunately, Desmond had no one waiting on him out the digital world. Sure, regulars might find it weird that his shop was closed for a longer period of time. But then, maybe time was different here as well. It was getting complicated for the poor Frenchman. "Are you stuck here as well?" He then asked to make sure.
"Desmond!" The DemiMeramon said his name again. "Desmond!" A sigh heavy came out of the blond tamer. "Yes?" He said looking down. "Can I ride on his bike?" Didn't he ask that question a few moments ago? "No, you can not." Desmond shook his head. "Pretty please?" Another sigh. "In a moment, alright?" The living fireball looked at his tamer with puppy eyes. "Promise?" How could you say no to that? "Cole, could you take DemiMeramon for a ride?" He gave up. "Just a small tour, like back and forth on the beach." The Digimon began jumping."Cole! Pretty please!"
"After we are done talking." The DemiMeramon swiftly turned around with a sadden expression. "Promise?" Desmond squat and gave the Digimon a small pat on the head. "Promise." He said with a smile."Now be patient, okay?" His tiny partner nodded a few times and then went to see the two other Digimon."You have names?" He asked while tilting his head to one side, or his whole body in his case. "Did you choose your name? Desmond never gave me a name." Names were confusing for him. He didn't even think that Digimon could have names.
"Cole, again, sorry." Desmond said with scratching the back of his head. He then pointed to his V-Pet. "Where did you find one of those? It's... Pretty neat." He then remembered that he too had something. He quickly went digging into his pocket and pulled out his Digivice. "Do you have one of those as well? It came with erm... DemiMeramon." He still had a hard time with having a partner like his. "Do you get two of them?" He then asked seeing that it seemed that he had two Digimon with him. "I have no idea what's really going on to be honest." He felt so powerless. "I mean, is all of this even real?" He had this voice inside of him screaming to ask Cole more questions, but his mind was trying hard to stay calm. Trying is the key word here.

It'd seem Desmond become momentarily mesmerized by the appearance of the two Digimon, Tsuki and Kuyo--so much so he didn't notice his partner was back up the same old trick again. But he'd eventually notice, at least this time maybe he wouldn't fall. Tsuki gave the tall blonde man a smile when he said it was nice to meet her and Kuyo, Kuyo simply nodding with a general smile on his features. Then DemiMeramon said it, turning his attention to the trio. The small flame exclaimed something about hugs and just stared floating right towards Tsuki. Good choice on his part, the BlackGabumon smiled and knelled down just a little, once DemiMeramon got in range Tsuki pulled his paws around the small flame, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Such a cutie DemiMeramon." she said gleefully.
Cole was just raising his eyebrow to this. DemiMeramon moved on to Kuyo, who at first would hold the small flame back with his hand, but eventually gave in and would give the tiny fire a quick hug, the BlackAgumon not as...affectionate as his sister. Kuyo was a fighter after all!...At least when not distracted on some ADHD-esk escapade.. It seemed the small Digimon was on a roll cause he went after Desmond next. Cole simply shook his head at the shenanigans, Tsuki was just giggling.
Now he approached Cole, and he'd instantly draw back, trying to make it clear he had no interest in hugging the small flame...what if it burned?! Obviously the others was fine...He seemed to be unable to escape the DemiMeramon's hug fest, as it hugged his leg, Cole sighing and just turning his attention back to Desmond--who finally seemed to get himself back together to string some questions together for Cole, regarding if he'd been stuck there. Cole shook his head. "No, there are multiple ways in and out of here--I return to the Human World every other day or so to restock." Cole briefly explained, showing he had easy access in and out of the world. This would probably come to a relief for Desmond...Cole knew how to help him get home.
DemiMeramon made his voice known again, bugging Desmond for permission to ride Cole's motorcycle. After the exchange, and Desmond requesting it too, Cole came up with a small idea. "Alright DemiMeramon, I'll give you a ride on the motorcycke...If you let me and Desmond discuss things without interrupting. Sound good?" Cole said, looking to DemiMeramon. Maybe this will help keep him out of the discussion for a bit. After Desmond and Cole seemed to come to some sort of agreement with DemiMeramon, he'd go over to talk to Tsuki and Kuyo, finally leaving Cole and Desmond to talk in peace. Tsuki went on to answer the young digimon's question. "Well not all Digimon get names, nor do they get them in the same ways...Me and Kuyo got our names from the guardians at the Village of Beginning--where most Digi-babies come from." she explained it for the DemiMeramon to understand.
Cole would focus on the slightly taller blonde man before him, them finally able to talk more. Desmond questioned about Cole's V-Pet, then was quick to fish out his Digivice and show it to Cole--asking if he had one too. Cole let Desmond get his questions out, the man realizing he should probably explain it to Desmond. Sighing softly, the man fished his own Digivice out, showing it to Desmond. It overall had the same design, a D3, but Cole's had a much darker base color then Desmonds, highlighted with the bright blues that matches the color of a lot of Tsuki and Kuyo's abilities...and just happened to be Cole's favorite color. "Yes, I have one...works for both Tsuki and Kuyo...Desmond do you mind if Tsuki watches DemiMeramon a moment, we need to talk--if you're new to all this. Besides, he's safer around her and Kuyo then with either of us, as hard as that truth is to take." Cole would say. He would give a nod over to Tsuk--who nodded back, having heard what was said.
Cole would turn and push his hands into his pockets as he started walking along the beach, expecting Desmond to follow. Little walk and talk, besides--Cole needed to stretch his legs after riding that bike for hours. He'd glance over to Desmond as he walked. "This is all very real...depending on your definition of real. This is the Digital World, home of the Digimon...like DemiMeramon, Tsuki, Kuyo, and endless others...Technically its all digital, sort of...like the net took on a life of its own...but that doesn't make the danger's any less real." Cole said, his right hand slipping from his pocket to reach up and point to his own cheek. On Cole's cheek was a somewhat recently healed scar, and really, the man had many other scars all over him at this point. Cole's point was clear.
He put his hand back into his pocket, thumb hooked over the edge of the pocket outside of it. "The device you asked me about is a V-Pet...I ah...got it from some friends who've been helping me out since I arrived here. Maybe you could get one too...but the more important thing is what you have. Its called a Digivice...it means you've been...well, for lack of better words, 'chosen'. I can't tell you why, everyone has their own reasons..." Cole said, voice trailing off a bit at the end, hinting towards the pain of Cole's own reasons for being here, or what he felt they was. The man sighed and stopped, by now they'd walked a few 100 feet down the beach, Cole facing Desmond with a neutral but stern look.
"DemiMeramon is your partner, much like the twins are mine. That device we have, it allows them to tap into hidden power, and transform into more powerful Digimon...it can also have more functions, I am able to open a portal between both Digital and Human worlds with mine, but I've noticed not everyone has access to that, or knows how to use it. I'm sure that'll help relieve you of any stress about being here--I don't mean to read your face to much but...I can tell you're freaking out a bit--and thats fine...I was in your shoes a few weeks ago. I'm new to this stuff too, this is all I've been told or experienced for myself...I don't claim to know what this place is all about yet, I'm still learning too--but the best I can do is pass this info along...and if you two need it--I can get you and DemiMeramon back home. The Digital World is dangerous, I'm sure I don't need to tell you this...I'm loosing count of how many times I thought I was gonna die these last few weeks." Cole went on to say, a soft sigh passing his lips after. "...If you have any questions I can try my best to answer them, but I just gave you a crash course of what I know so far..." he'd add, finishing his long explanation to the slightly taller Frenchmen.

The DemiMeramon looked at Cole for a moment as he told him that he would take him on a ride. he stood there, or floating there, blinking twice before going for another hug. "Whee! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" He even rubbed his head against Cole's leg and held on for a second or two. "Come on, now." Desmond then said before squatting down once more. He gave his partner a soft pat on the head before speaking some more. "Now be a good boy and wait here, okay?" The fire Digimon slowly turned around to face his tamer and went for yet another hug. "Desmond! Yes!" After that, the living fireball went to see Tsuki and Kuyo. As Tsuki told him that they got names from the guardians at the Village of Beginning, DemiMeramon tilted his head on one side. "So I need to go see the guardian to get a name? That sounds like fun!" After laughing a bit, the small Digimon began making a small circle on the sand with his finger. "One day, I'll be as tall as Desmond!" He shouted with excitement. "Then I can give him rides on my back!"
A bit further away, Desmond agreed to walk a bit with Cole. So this world is real and not at the same time. Form what he could understand it was like the internet. Which made it kind of confusing. Are they just data? And if it's the internet, who knows what is hidden here. But for some reasons, Cole did mention that returns to here every now and then. Why would one want to come to his place? It was dangerous, at least from what he experienced so far. After Cole showed him his own Digivice, Desmond took a good look at it, seems pretty much like his but in different colors. He sighed before putting it back into his pocket. "I guess one good thing is that I do not need to hide DemiMeramon in here." He had to admit that it was a rather nice thing seeing he barely left the store because he did not trust the Digimon mostly because he was made of fire. "Chosen?" He then repeated after him. Well, that's kind of vague. He had no idea why someone, or something, would choose him out of every people he knew. But then, it seems that they were not alone in this situation.
"Seems like a good device to have." The Frenchman then said. Now that he thought of it, maybe he should stay here for a bit longer. He took a glance at his partner that seemed to be genuinely happy to meet other Digimon. He knew what it was to be alone, Desmond did not have a lot of friends. But DemiMeramon? He just had Desmond. "I think I'm going to stay here." He then said without looking at Cole. "Just maybe a day or two." Depending on how his sanity will be by the end of the first day. He then sighed before smiling. "I bet that I am not the first guy you found?" He then asked but was expecting a big yes from the other tamer.
Meanwhile, Demi Meramon was now drawing Tsuki and Kuyo in the sand. However, it didn't even look remotely like them. Just a bunch of circles and lines sticking out as legs and arms. Chuckling and quite proud of his work, the small Digimon then drew a very tall stick man. "This is Desmond!" He shouted while pointing at the sand hungry for attention. He then gave him a head full or lines as hair. And then he used his hand to wipe it all not happy with the results. "Desmond is nice. He gives me food! Do your tamer give you food as well?" Clearly, DemiMeramon had a lot to learn about this world. And other Digimon as well. "Do you have any food on you?"
"So why do you stay here? Looking for adventure?" Desmond was trying to figure why someone like Cole would come back here after telling him that is was so dangerous. "I mean, besides having the freedom of letting DemiMeramon play around, I don't really see the appeal right now." Maybe he was overthinking it. Perhaps he should see it as a vacation. He was also very curious about the whole chosen thing. He would love to have more answers but Cole already told him that he didn't have anything more to say about that. "Thanks for the crash course, Cole. Really."
And he paused to sigh and look back at their partners. "More powerful, you said?" Does that mean that he was going to become an even bigger fireball? He was not so sure about how to feel about that. The Digimon already eats everything he feeds him, he didn't want to buy even more food if he gets any bigger. He just stood silent for a moment to think, which was kind of rude seeing that Cole was right next to him. In fact, he kind of zoned out for a second, just lost in his own mind. And then, he saw his partner spit a small fireball from his mouth. That woke him. "Oh sorry, I erm..." He timidly looked at the other man. "Nevermind, sorry."
"Look!" The DemiMeramon said before making another ball of fire into the air. "Can you do that as well? I bet I can make a bigger one!"

As endearing as DemiMeramon was, Cole was frankly trying his best to ignore the Fireball, not out of being mean--just focusing on the situation at hand...but it was hard to ignore when the Digimon was hugging on Cole's shin, a comedic sweatdrop sliding down Cole's temple as the 'mon expressed his thanks for saying he'd take him for a ride on the motorcycle. Kids will be kids, one could say....
Luckily, DemiMeramon would go ahead and join Tsuki and Kuyo, them keeping the tiny flame distracted while the men could have their conversation. Tsuki blinked at the in-training tier Digimon's retort to what she'd said, giggling and shaking her head. "Desmond could give you a name, or you can just keep being exactly who you are." she tried to explain to DemiMeramon. She smiled and nodded when the young 'mon said one day he'd be as big as Desmond. "Yep yep. You'll be just as strong as me and Kuyo one day DemiMeramon!" she said in encouragement of that idea. Kuyo could be seen standing in the background flexing after Tsuki said they was strong...the BlackAgumon sure thought he was tough shit.
Meanwhile, with the distraction temporarily distracted, the two tall men could get some distance and have their talk. After Cole explained things, of course Desmond had a lot to say back. He'd nod to the fact Desmond at least didn't have to hide DemiMeramon here, something Cole struggled with until he got the V-Pet device he explained to Desmon. As for being 'chosen'...well, Cole had no answer, only able to offer his thoughts. "I don't really get the 'chosen' thing either Desmond, maybe you'll find out why, maybe not...I'm pretty sure I know why I was given a Digivice and met my partners, but everyone has their own reasons..." Cole would say, glancing off to the side as the thought crossed his mind. He didn't tell Desmond, but Cole was sure of his reason for being 'chosen'...to save his older sister trapped here. There was a hint of pain in Cole's glance off to the side, but he'd quickly push it to the back of his mind and focus on answering Desmond for now.
Or rather, Desmond said something that would cause Cole to look back, raising an eyebrow--apparently Desmond was also now looking elsewhere as he said he'd stay there. Well, Cole wasn't going to question the man's reasoning, it was his choice to make. He'd be met with a question after this, about if he wasn't the first Cole had found. Cole blinked. "Well...I mean I've met a number of humans here since I been here, but you're the first I've found who wasn't already knowledgeable of the Digital World." Cole responded to Desmond. Meanwhile Tsuki watched as DemiMeramon drew in the sand, simply giggling when he claimed one of the stick figures was Desmond. She'd nod to the small fire Digimon's question about if Cole fed her and Kuyo.
It'd seem despite avoiding it earlier when he sort of left out his own reasoning, Desmond became curious what Cole was doing coming back here. Now if the small glance away earlier didn't tell the tale, Cole's expression turned somber and his eyes averted down, looking to the sand near his feet. Should he tell him? Should Cole just keep it to himself? Desmond seemed to zone out a moment, before finally coming back to the conversation The jade hue'd man sighed softly. "I...I'm looking for someone who is trapped here...I need to bring them home." Cole would vaguely explain...the previously stoic and serious man was beginning to show cracks to the mask he wears in front of others, the damaged man behind the mask peeking out a little. Well this conversation just got a little heavy...
Tsuki acted amazed by DemiMeramon's fireball, even if it wasn't amazingly impressive, she still wished to make the Digimon feel proud of himself, giving him a smile. As for could they do that? Well...Tsuki and Kuyo glanced at eachother, and nodded. The two both would look up towards the sky--and in unison the twins charged up intense bright azure flames within their jaws, before launching the powerful blue fireballs into the sky--them combining together to form an even larger and more powerful fireball. Tsuki smiled back to DemiMeramon after the two did their double Azure Fire display.
