Despite her reluctance in this whole plot Cassandra rather enjoyed the tour marveling at the architecture, wealth, and gardens laid out before her and doing her best to rein Cassius in as they neared the vaults. Cloak and Dagger followed close on their heels and while they put of the airs of being loyal guards for the pair Cassius could likely feel the two glaring murder at his back. Perhaps more literally then figuratively in Cloaks case as he plotted where putting a sword from behind would do the most damage to the man while his twin occasionally glanced over at him nervously.
The castle itself left Dagger wary reminding him of a different castle. A different place who's name lingered on the tip of his tongue filled with real knights. Not merely Pawnchessmon and the various chess like Digimon. Yet every time he tried to delve further the memories seemed to fade like smoke leaving the Zubamon further frustrated and distracted till his twin had to reach out and catch him by his cape to prevent him from stumbling into the back of their Tamer's legs as the pair came to a stop. Cassius suggesting he wished to retire as the two digimon observed Cas trying with much difficulty to resist rolling her eyes at her unwanted partner.
"Indeed if you could send a meal up it would be much appreciated. I'm afraid in all the excitement of dancing and in the face of such a wonderful tour I've rather forgotten to eat." The Princess murmured with a polite and regal smile inclining her head to their guide in thanks and hopes that he will show them their room. While she might have played the part of a woman expected to be waited on that didn't mean royalty couldn't be polite. Manners were a mark of good breeding after all.

Cassius thoroughly enjoyed being treated as royalty. The tour was nice, and helpful for planning a quick getaway. Something was amiss through, as Dagger stares cloaks, I mean Cloak stares daggers at the phony prince.
(Thinking) "It's like this little fella is stabbing me with his eyes. Well I'm keeping tabs on the twins too."
When Cassius mentions a plate being brought up, Cas agrees with the suggestion. They had been so caught up in the moment, they hadn't even appreciated the grand feast besides some wine. When the tour comes to an end, they would be escorted back to their chambers. Their meals would be arriving shortly. Cassius struts into the room, taking a look around to drink it in.
"Oh, this is the life. Free food, a wonderful castle, and a beautiful woman by my side."
Cassius looks down at the one bed, then looks over at Cas.
"So, I guess to keep up appearances, does that mean that we..."
The thief hadn't thought about sharing the same bed with Cas. It put them in an even more awkward position than before. It wasn't long until their meals had arrived. Cassius takes his plate over to the bed and lays back, eating with his fingers. Not very regal. He certainly lacked proper etiquette, seeing as how he grew up slumming it.
"Oh, this is delicious. Maybe after this job, I'll keep up this act. Find a castle with more suckers dumb enough to let me walk freely and treat me like royalty. How would you like to continue living this lifestyle?"
If it meant spending one more moment than necessary around Cassius once she has her Digivice back, it probably wasn't worth it to the doctor. She just has to deal with his deception another day. The royal vault is already filling up fast. It would take a master thief to sneak off with so much loot.
"Maybe I'll take up horseback riding, become some kind of knight. I'm sure Seadramon would appreciate a more luxurious life. He wouldn't have to fight all the time."

Eyeing the single bed Cas scowled letting some of her mask fall away now that they were alone save Cloak and Dagger. With the Zubamon in question setting her bag down and tugging his twin over to check out their own room off to the side. Though Cloak is careful to leave the door open lest Cas need them.
"You stick to your side of the bed and I'll stick to mine otherwise you may wake up minus an important bodypart." Cas threatened deciding to leave no room for misinterpretation about their current sleeping arrangements. Unlike the man himself she doesn't take her food right away. Setting the plate and drink aside for the moment as she digs into her bag for her night clothes and slips like a shadow into the bathroom to change lest she get food on her dress. She'd return a moment later in a long white silk nightgown that fell just to her knees, her hair let down to frame her face is wild honey blonde waves like a mane of sunlight. Without the gloves and dress he can see the full extent of her scars not covered by her tank top as they twist and curl down from her neck, across her shoulder, peppering her left side, and down her left arm where they stop hidden by heavy bandages obscuring every inch of skin on her arm from the elbow down. Even her fingertips are bandaged as Cas sets her bag down once more beside a vanity with a mirror as she takes a seat upon its bench. She's careful to pull out contact solution and makeup removers and other such things as she motions for him to get the door.
"Make sure that's locked. We don't want anyone stumbling in upon us unless they're knocking to give us our wakeup call." She instructed glancing at Cassius over her shoulder in her reflection as she pauses waiting for him to do as she asks before she begins her work.

Cas made it very clear to Cassius that he would be keeping his hands to himself, at the threat of losing an important body part.
"How important are we talking here?"
It appears Cloak and Dagger would be staying in their own room adjacent to theirs. That made it even more uncomfortable sharing a room and a bed with Cassandra. The imposter princess would change in the bathroom, returning wearing a stunning white silk nightgown. Almost all of her scars were now visible. Cassius is taken aback by her appearance. He sets the plate down on the nightstand and gets up, his jaw hanging down. Cas instructs him to lock the door so no one will barge in. Cassius bumbles over to the door, bumping into the table on the way. After ensuring that the door is locked, Cassius approaches Cas, admiring both her beauty and her intense presence.
"You have never been more attractive to me. It's a shame you've got the likability of a nasty old hag. Otherwise, I might actually be tempted to make a move on you. That ship has sailed."
Cassius both flattered Cas and admitted his attraction towards her, while also insulting her and giving Cas the chance to engage in another war of words. Cassius stands there, towering over the woman. The one thing he would never be able to take was Cas' grace. No quick hands, lock picks, or personas could take that from her.
"Well then, was there anything you did want to do before we go to bed? I didn't bring along any card games."
Maybe Cas could slice Cassius open again, and spend the remainder of the evening sewing him up. That would give the thief plenty to think about and keep them busy. Just how far would Cassius push her buttons, whether because of his attraction to her, or just to throw her off her game and try to get her to crack?

"If I have all the likability of a hag then that makes you twice the fool." She murmurs ignoring his looming as she carefully took a makeup wipe to her face revealing the pale faded blue stripe across her right cheek as well as taking off the eye shadow and other paint leaving her face once how he remembered it aside the changes. Tossing the used wipes in the trash she took the contacts out blinking as she closed her eyes against the light the orbs sensitive from the concealing lenses.
"Once for letting me best you." She murmurs turning on the stool to face him. "And twice for asking me to stay when you can do nothing, but insult me." She adds opening her eyes to pin him in place with those wicked crimson red orbs of hers, the cat like slit of her eyes so similar to other demonic digimon Cassius has likely seen in the past as the pupil gradually widens adjusting to the light and making Cas look once more almost human.
"As for how important a body part..." The Doctor murmured as she rose from her seat stepping close as she trailed one hand lightly down the front of his jacket leaning in till the Thief could pick out the tiny hints of gold in her glittering blood colored eyes. "There are certain jewels you likely don't want to part with." She adds with a fanged smile before lightly pushing him out of her way as she strides past him snagging her plate of food and drink as she makes her way towards a small writing desk to sit and eat.

Cassius was a fool indeed when around Cassandra. She wipes off her makeup, revealing the blue marking across her right cheek. She looked similar to before, but there was soon to be a world of difference. With her contacts removed, Cassius could see the blood red color of her pupils. It almost appeared as though she had become a Digimon hybrid. Cas would get close to Cassius, revealing her sharp fangs.
The doctor runs her hand down his jacket, answering the thief's question by mentioning certain jewels. Cas isn't the kind of person you want to provoke when she makes threats. Cassius takes a small gulp, the hair on his neck standing up.
"You keep your hands away from my precious jewels. I'm the thief here, and if anyone's going to get their hands on some valuables, it's going to be me. The treasure, I mean. Oh, you would just love to take them from me, as you metaphorically did once before."
The doctor would take a seat at a desk to enjoy her meal. Cassius sighs in relief, quite a bit creeped out and on edge from seeing Cas with such a beastly appearance. He certainly wasn't the man to tame that animal. Cassius gives her some space for now, taking a moment to appreciate the artwork and the design of their chambers. Cassius turns his back towards Cas, pondering what might have been.
"You know, I didn't exactly expect my life to turn out this way. Sometimes when you have to fight to survive, you become a horrible person. You do despicable things, often to innocent people. The king has welcomed us into his castle, and yet I intend to cross him. We are so different, and yet, I can't help but see something inside you that I only see when I look in the mirror. Your heart is as black as mine, and no amount of insults or threats is going to change that. The question is do you know how far you've fallen, or do you live more than one lie? Do you lie to yourself? You think helping people is going to change who you are inside?"

"Cowering is beneath you Cassius. You've nothing that belongs to you that I wish to steal." Cas spoke with a fanged sneer dragging her eyes up and down the Thief's frame before letting out a derisive snort as she turns to her meal. Perhaps a bit more hurt by his fear then she lets on even as she stares for a moment at her own reflection peering back at her from her drink. It seemed that when her true appearance was revealed his compliments had evaporated like morning dew before the noon day sun. Honestly, or so she tells herself, she shouldn't be surprised they'd been proven false. Though she knows Cloak and Dagger would be quick to reassure her over her appearance they were her partners and they loved her. Blinded by their own feelings towards how she really appeared unlike the Thief.
At his words though she stills, the muscles in her shoulders stiffening as she grips the edge of the desk hard enough that the wood groans under her fingers. Slowly she turns to glance over her shoulder at the man with narrowed eyes that glitter beneath the shadow of her lashes like fresh blood. "I don't make it a point to lie to myself unlike you Cassius." Cas whispered her voice like velvet over steel.
"I know I am not a good person, but that does not mean I cannot do good things. That I cannot be the best that I can be irregardless of the trappings of morality. That I cannot rise above my past. Can you say the same about yourself?" She asks with a tilt of her head turning fully to face him once more her gaze fierce and feral and fire in her eyes fit to burn a man alive.
"Because I don't think you can. Not yet."

Cassius didn't know how his reaction to Cas' appearance made her feel. Up close, it was quite gruesome to behold. She recognized his cowardice. Cas claims that she knows that she isn't a good person, but she can do good things. She isn't controlled by her past, but could Cassius say the same thing? The thief turns around and faces Cas, glancing past her as to not be disturbed by her real appearance.
"You cannot run from the past. I embrace mine, while you bare the severity of it across your body. Up until this heist, I had no qualms with living the life of a rogue. You have to hide yourself from the truth, and yet you think I am living a lie?"
Cassius slowly turns towards Cas, his eye twitching. Cassius puts on a bold front, and opens up his true emotions.
"You wish to hear the truth? Alright. Should I tell you how I felt when you emasculated me? How I was left to rot in agony, consumed by a lust for vengeance? How every fiber of my being was determined to break you because of what you did?"
Cassius reaches towards the table and smacks his hand across, sending the glass centerpiece crashing against the masonry.
"Or should I tell you how I felt when I saw the pictures of you in your youth? How I saw a broken soul, and I became consumed with protecting such a delicate person from the horrors of this world? That I saw a light in a sea of nothing but tragedy. But that little girl is gone now, and all I see standing before me is a monster. So you tell me, who is living a lie?"
Cassius takes a deep breath. He tilts his head back, raises his hands and tightens them into fists out of frustration.
"And yet still, I can't break you. You are the unattainable prize. The one girl I met who couldn't be charmed and swept off her feet. Not a moment goes by that I do not think of you, and yet you treat me as a disease to cut off, an evil entity that needs to be caged and controlled. What other choice do I have but to beckon to your call?"

Cas leaps to her feet at his approach his sweeping hand sending food, drink, and decorations tumbling to the floor in a shattering of glass that leaves the twins scrambling back into the room pausing at the door as they assess the situation. For a moment it looks as though Cloak will charge Cassius, but Dagger holds him back as Cas rears up on her tip toes fangs bared in a snarl pupils blown wide in fury a growl tearing it's way up from her throat as she gets in the Thief's face. "What does it say about you that you see part of me in yourself when you look in the mirror if I am such a monster? Does that make you a monster too Cassius? Because I think it does." She hissed out lashing out at his chest with her hands to push him back, to push him away, to gain distance not liking how he has her corned back against the table.
"The fact you have the gal to call me one just proves how very little you actually know about real monsters. How little you know about me, but you never asked did you? No you just TAKE," Cas growled out emphasizing her words with a sharp poke to his chest, "and you STEAL, and you SCAVENGER my life, and my past as though it's some long dead tomb who's treasure are yours." She snarled prowling towards him eyes wild and feral carrying herself with pride and fury like some hellbent goddess that has been wronged.
"I don't think you are evil or a disease." Cas spits out turning to stride past him unable to stand being in the same room any longer as she makes her way towards Cloak and Dagger intent on sharing with them even if it meant sleeping on the floor. "I just think you can do better." She snaps out words like knives as she tosses them over her shoulder as she moves to depart.

Cassius' violent outburst had alerted Cloak and Dagger, escalating the situation. The thief found himself face to face with the wrath of Cas. She turns it around on him, mentioning if he sees part of him in her, it makes him a monster as well. She belittles the thief for stealing. Cas hissed and lashes out at his chest, creating distance.
"I give you the truth, and you run from it. Typical."
Cas would ridicule the thief, scolding him for his selfish ways. He had gone digging into her past as if he had any right to invade her privacy. If her contempt wasn't obvious before, it was now. Had Cassius finally struck a serious nerve once he opened up about how he feels towards Cassandra? She could take no more of his presence, opting to join her partners in the side room. But not before telling him that she thinks he can do better.
"You are the most insufferable person I have ever met. If I could destroy my feelings for you, I would. The anger, the regret, the compassion."
Cassius found himself alone with his misery. His ego had really done him in now. He would have all night to reflect on his actions. He tried searching inside himself for the answers to his obsession, and outside as well, but still he found himself enthralled by the intimidating woman. How had he gotten to this point? What if he had just let Cas slip away at the Yokai base? How did he let a woman gain this much influence over him? He is supposed to be the one in control. Yet Cas had manipulated him whether she was trying to or not.
Cassius gets ready to wind down for the evening, sulking in bed. He takes out one of the scalpels he acquired after becoming fascinated by them after what happened with the doctor. Cassius twirls the blade around in his fingers, then runs his hand along the scar that Cas gave him. He gazes into the reflection of the blade, wishing he was free from his emotions. He had no one to blame but himself. Was he really just a petty criminal? A scum of the earth drain on society? Even the Yokai thugs found him repulsive.
Tired of being lonely, he takes out his Digivice and loads Betamon's data. The Rookie is much more cuddly than his sea serpent form, though not as terrifying. Not a word was spoken. He just lays in bed petting his Digimon partner. Once this foolish heist was over, he could move on and try to put Cas out of mind. If he was even able to at this point. Betamon is his only companion left. He had tried to kill his own former best friend Shirou. The Yokai would have killed Cassius themselves if he wasn't such a valuable asset, a useful tool.
(Thinking) "How can I make this right? Even if I do pull this off, and raid the vault, the Yokai will catch up to Cas at some point. Yet, whenever I try to make a difference, I make things worse. What is it about that woman that makes me irrational? Am I really just a thief?"
After a while, Cassius tosses the scalpel across the room, sticking into the chair where Cassandra once sat. He does his best to clear his mind, and slowly drifts off to sleep.
Cassius has a dream about Cas. They are in a faraway land. Cas is a princess in charge of the kingdom. Cassius has been brought before her to be tried for his crimes. Thrown onto the ground, he gazes up at the magnificent princess. He reaches out to her, but she turns away. Cassius is dragged off to the stocks to be pelted with rotten food by the people he stole from. He is stripped down and tossed into a dungeon, battered and bloodied. Suddenly, Cas appears before him as a spirit wearing thin white robes. Her scars are no more. Cas reaches down and touches Cassius on the chest, as his injuries are healed. The two of them remain together in the dungeon, Cas cradling his head close to her chest.
Cassius wakes up from the dream, more troubled than ever. Not even in his sleep does he get a break from his obsession? Had he gone mad?

Cassandra doesn't deem him with a response even as she stalks into the guard room followed by the twins and closes the door behind her. It's not till there is solid wood at her back that she lets her mask fall away as she slides down to the floor hiding her face in her hands as she shoulders shake. Tentatively Cloak leans into her side wrapping his arms about her as he gently strokes her hair. Dagger is quick to push the two single beds in the room together to give the three of them somewhere to sleep. It is not much, rather meager really for a supposed princess, but perfect for the trio.
"You're beautiful." Cloak whispers in her hear softly pulling Cas's hands away from her face to wipe away her tears. "Don't spite yourself because that idiot is too foolish to see it." The Kotemon assures her his gold eyes soft with love and pain for her sorrow.
"We could jump him when he's asleep. I doubt he'd see it coming." Dagger grumbled helping Cloak and Cas to their feet as he takes his Tamer's hand gently tugging her towards the bed. "But you should sleep first. Leave the fighting to us knights." He adds with a tentative fanged grin earning a soft choked laugh from Cas.
"You'd ruin perfectly good sheets if the two of you murdered him in his sleep, but I am...I'm so tired." She murmurs the weight of the day weighing heavy on her as she curls up on the bed. Dagger scrambles up beside her curling into her back as Cas lays on her side. Cloak tucks himself in next to her letting his Tamer pillow her head on his arm as she she closes her eyes and just breaths.
"He'd deserve it." The Kotemon murmurs softly, but watching as his princess slowly drifts to sleep, her breaths coming slow and gentle with each rise and fall of her chest he knows he won't act on his wishes. Not if it means moving and waking her. It's not long till the twins join her in sleep. The little trio tucked in together breaths mingling and heartbeats matched.

The thief could not fall back asleep. As tired as he is, his mind is racing. Little did he know, but the twins had suggested killing him while he slept. Surely Cas wouldn't allow them to do something so cruel, even if it was Cassius they are dealing with. Cassius gets out of bed, shirtless and wearing a pair of comfortable black pants. He walks out to the balcony, taking in the night view of the castle. The wind sends a chill up his spine as he looks up at the stars. The saving grace of this heist was getting to live the high life, but what did it matter if he couldn't make Cas see him in a more positive light?
Cassius returns inside. He takes the scalpel out of the chair, before creeping over to the door to the room where Cas and the twins slept. He checks the handle to see if it is locked, then slowly opens the door. Stealthily gliding across the floor, he approaches the two pushed together beds. Cas is asleep, cuddling with Dagger and Cloak. She looked so innocent, so peaceful. Her hair is spread out on the pillow. Cassius watches her sleep for a while, standing motionless to avoid making noise.
(Thinking) "It looks like she's sleeping better than I was tonight. Did she even pay me a second thought?"
He didn't know just how upset Cas had been with the way he reacted to her appearance. For all his flattery, when confronted with the truth he besmirched her outer beauty. As shocking as the scars, markings, red eyes and fangs made her, that didn't change the way he felt about her inside and out. If only things had been different. If they had lived different lives as different people and ended up together. Cassius had to accept that his affection for the doctor would not be returned. No matter how many compliments or mind games he throws at her. His pride could not ignore the blow.
Cassius slowly backs up against the wall, hiding out of sight. He raises the scalpel up and throws it across the room at the wall behind the bed. He waits to see if one of them wakes up. If not, he would exit quietly, his not so subtle message clear. He could have attacked in the dark of the night. It was about all he could do at this point without waking Cas up just to argue with her more.

Cas looked so much younger when she slept. The hard mask she wore and the ferocity she gathered about herself like a cloak falling away. Just leaving behind just the girl her face soft and open in her sleep, her cheeks still slightly damp with tears even as she lay half curled in sleep her arms wrapped about the Kotemon and face half buried against the front of the Digimon's armor where the little rookie holds her. Luckily it is Dagger and not his twin that wakes at Cassius's threat. The little Zubamon having been curled against Cas's back his head pillowed on her side as his eyes open in a flash of gold and a baring of sharp glittering white fangs.
For a long silent moment he rookie regards the Thief where he hides back to the wall in shadow, but his figure gives himself away. Too tall to be anyone else with the door locked and despite himself Dagger lets out a soft derisive snort at the man's antics. "Leave." The Zubamon whispers as much an order as a request.
"Leave before my twin wakes and finds you. You can't hold our digivice captive forever. Do not give Cloak more reason to kill you." Dagger warns the little wannabe knight showing a rare amount of mercy and restraint. He might not like Cassius, but he saw how his Tamer came to life at his challenge and even if he wouldn't mind taking a chunk out of the rogue for harming her he certainly didn't want him dead.
"He's killed Tamers before."

Upon closer inspection, Cassius saw what remained of the tears running down Cas' face. His heart sinks as the reality of what he has done to her sank in. She had revealed her true self to him, and he might as well have spat in her face. Dagger wakes up to the sound of the scalpel slicing the air, sticking into the wall. The Zubamon tells the thief to leave before Cloak wakes up and goes postal on him.
(Thinking) "It seems everyone wants me dead. I am unwanted."
Cassius would comply with Dagger's request. He turns and head towards the door, his footsteps making more noise than before. He stops at the door and turns around, giving Dagger a look of sorrow. Cassius slowly whispers to Dagger.
"Please, help me make things right."
With that said, he returns to his room and slowly shuts the door. Betamon is snoozing on the bed. If Cassius had some alcohol, he would have hit the bottle long ago tonight. Was he wrong in thinking that he could get closer to Cas through this bold plan of his? His conflicting emotions were making him feel psychically ill. He goes through his equipment belt laying over a chair, retrieving Cas' Digivice. He returns to the balcony, her Digivice in hand. What were to happen if he just throws it? Would Cas ever be able to find it? What if he gives it back now, and just abandons her here, giving up on the heist? What if he just did the world a favor and fell to his death?
The man Cassius was before he met Cas was no more. He hadn't been the charming ne'er-do-well thief he had been before. His time with Cas and the twins was the first time he was able to loosen up in a long time. Cassius wasn't one to have suicidal thoughts, but after doing some soul searching, he was disgusted with himself. His actions had negatively impacted nearly everyone he came into contact with. Was he really a monster? He couldn't give up his evil ways. His greed was without equal.
To his surprise, somebody from his past that he knew very well revealed themselves to Cassius on the balcony. A thin man clad in black and red armor with his face obscured by a red mask descends onto the balcony.
"As I suspected. How have you been, Cassius?"
The thief turns towards the dark figure to address him.
"What do you want, Revan? We have nothing to discuss."
"You are wrong. There is something that you cannot face alone. I had heard rumors of a thief working for the Yokai was obsessing over Doctor Cross, but I never imagined that it was you. You can imagine my surprise when I overheard a chatty Piddomon praising a duo that matched your descriptions. Just what have you gotten yourself into this time?"
"All I want is to run from my past, and now you of all people choose to return now? If you must know, I have been playing the fool, all because of a woman. I don't know what is greater, my appreciation of Cas, or my hatred of her."
Revan stands next to Cassius and places his hand up on his shoulder.
"So, after years of breaking hearts and playing it loose, you meet the one who made you her prey for a change. My advice? Block out your feelings. What have I always told you about your ego? You cannot live with the fact that she bested you. To view yourself as her equal would be delusional. And lately you just continue to lose, and lose, and lose."
"If you came here hopping to make me feel better, you are doing a horrible job."
"Alright. I'll let you return to your brooding. Just remember, there once was a time when people cared about you, big guy. Even as you picked on me and Shirou growing up, we were still best friends. I miss those days. So much has changed. If you want to prove yourself to this woman, you need to change for the better."
Revan reaches into a leather pouch, and hands Cassius a black bracelet with a metal skull on it.
"But, that belonged to Angel... How did you get this?"
"She's still out there, Cassius. Don't lose you mind over one woman, you softy. Whatever feelings you have for Cas, good or bad, need to be sealed away, untouched, forgotten. And when you finally find yourself, I will return seeking your aid. Now go get some sleep."
"You always were an asshole, but you know how to push people's buttons."
Revan climbs up onto the railing and leaps off the balcony, disappearing in a cloud of black smoke. Cassius holds Angel's bracelet in his hand. He throws it off the balcony.
"Angel was but a fleeting crush compared to Cas. I will not give up. One day, I will hold her heart in my hand, and then I shall shatter it to pieces."
Cassius heads back to bed, sleeping much more peacefully this time around. His mind was made up, focused on obtaining his goals.

For a long silent moment Dagger watches the Thief his gold eyes glittering in the darkness as he considers Cassius's words and the most puzzling conundrum that they seem to ring true. The green eyes the peer back at the Zubamon from the shadows reflect familiar feelings he's seen mirrored in another's gaze. Passion, longing, pride, all things the little weapon Digimon has seen before along with the desperate need to prove himself. Letting out a soft huff the Zubamon lays his head back down upon his Tamers side half draped over her not unlike a bladed armored dog.
"I'll think about it." Dagger murmurs and it is as much he can offer in answer to the Thief's plea as the man himself slinks out the door. Once he is gone the Zubamon is careful to remove the scalpel and tuck it away beneath the bed where neither his twin nor tamer will find it. They certainly didn't need more drama on this mission and morning would come soon enough and with it so too would Cas reluctantly rouse. Waking with the familiar weight of the twins surrounding her and the strange warmth of safety that filled her chest at their presence. Even after months she still couldn't quite shake the strangeness of it no matter how pleasant. Though no matter how content the strangeness of her dreams still prickled at the back of her mind.
She'd dreamed of a warrior gilded in gold, of combat, madness, and courage. The figure like a hazy image in her mind as she shook of the last vestiges of sleep and rose carefully untangling herself from the twins as she padded on silent bare feet from the room.
