Name: Kaori Tanaka Alias: Kai Age: 17 Gender: Male Height: 5’7” Weight: 130 lbs Alignment: True Neutral Birth Date: February 3 Birth Place: Kanpur, India Ethnicity: Half-Japanese, Half-Indian Job Placement Skills: Who needs a job? Skills/Talents:
[Risk Calculator] Not to an actual percentage, but Kaori is skilled at mitigating his risk by determining what is more likely to happen in certain situations. This doesn't mean he can game the system so much as he knows when something borderline is a good or bad idea. It can, however, be useful in so called "risky" situations that may not be as scary as they initially seem.
[Bluffmaster] As a long-time gambler, Kaori has little problem keeping his emotions under check in stressful situations (assuming he wants to keep them hidden). It is difficult to determine his position, and conversely he has an easier time picking up tells on other people.
Primary Defense: The art of battling like a true survivor.
Tactic #1: Run the hell away.
Tactic #2: Throw sand in the opponent’s face, than run the hell away.
Tactic #3: Should running away not be an option, use the Swiss Army Knife to make enough of an opening that you can run past the opponent.
Personality:
A trickster by nature, Kaori is far from the kindest person you’ll meet.
Nothing quite compares to the satisfaction of convincing other people to do what he wants, and it’s quite surprising how skilled the teenager is at succeeding in this. Sure, he may not be the one with the highest grades or the best physical abilities, but he’s quite skilled at analyzing reactions, and acting upon them to achieve his own desires. If he cannot get a good reading on someone, chances are he won’t mess with them.
Sounds kind of evil? Well, he’s not an entirely bad guy. His morals may not align with the average person or even the law in some cases, but he’s not one to severely ruin another living being. On top of that, his personal ethics tell him to never cheat a girl.
Speaking of the law, Kaori has very little respect for them. He’s not stupid enough to go picking fights with police officers, but in his mind authority figures are the scum of the earth; people who abuse a false sense of justice for their own gain. At the very least, Kaori does not attempt to defend his own actions for the sake of “justice”.
All things aside, Kaori is rather sociable when he wants to be. Information runs the world, so he tries to speak with anyone who seems useful to him. There are the rare people whom he actually respects and calls friends as well, but they are few and far between. Even they do not warrant his full trust; much of his life is known only to Kaori himself. Perhaps it’s because in the back of his mind, he’s afraid of being caught...
Since arriving in the Digital World, Kaori has become more open to being kind, as well as being more trusting. Blame Zee, he’d say. Bravery is also something that’s become less rare in him, as he’s willing to step up to the plate to defend his beliefs by force. At least once in a while.
When in doubt...
Should Kaori be faced with a tough decision he cannot solve on his own, he will refer to his cards. Basically, he shuffles the deck and draws the first card. The card determines his course of action:
2,3,4,5,6,7: Yes, or Gut Instinct 8,9,10, Jack, Queen, King: No Ace or Joker: Try again
Appearance: FaceClaim: ARES • mikael • Kaori Tanaka
Easily the first thing noticed about Kaori to the ordinary Japanese tamer is his dark skin. His half-Indian heritage overcomes his half-Japanese heritage enough to give him a noticeably tanned look. Both sides of his family contribute his sharp, dark brown eyes. Hair is rather short with dark brown curls that go to just the beginning of his neck.
In terms of body type, Kaori has a rather lean feel; not fat, but not buff either. A three-clawed scar decorates his chest and still glows with in faint blue; a constant reminder of Zee’s rampage. He's not the type to build muscle except perhaps in his legs from all the walking in the Digital World.
Regular clothing consists of various solid-colour or striped collared shirts, often accompanied by a dark red fall jacket. Blue or black jeans with a straight fit are his choice, along with his only pair of footwear; basic brown sneakers.
Once he enters the Digital World, his mind is probed to give him a new uniform. An indigo dress-shirt is decorated with a crest of a red spade. Oddly enough, the shirt retains only a few tears from where Zee slashed him. The top two buttons are generally open, and the collar stays up. Jeans are black and slimmer than their real-world counterparts, and offer a black-and-white chequered belt. His shoes remain the same, but are also outfitted with a white spade.
Inventory:
[/s] (the blade has been broken away, but the other tools still function properly) [*]Cell phone [*]Wallet [*]House keys on a lanyard [*]Water bottle [*]Container of headache medication [*]Bandages [*]No-Clone [/ul] Digital Devices: D-Terminal[Black]With the loss of his Digivice, the D-Terminal quickly became Kaori’s most useful tool. In addition to a radar system and Digimon Database, it allows for Armor Digivolution. Digimental: MischiefFrom within the depths of a certain mountain (which they stumbled into by accident during an escape from Leomon), this Armor Egg’s golden hue seems to give off a regal image. Upon further inspection, however, the Digimental is in fact decorated with scores of toothy, childlike smiley faces. D-3 Digivice [Black and Orange] Recreated after the initial device was lost, this device has picked up on the connection between Kaori and Illyana and now links them together, much to the human's surprise. D-Arc Digivice [Black and Orange]A new Digivice which involves the use of Digi-Modify cards to create a variety of effects in battle. Kaori has previously come across blueprints for this powerful device long ago, but only recently obtained it. The card function is very convenient for the gambler. In addition to normal Digivice functions, it has been upgraded with full portal access, a walkie talkie, and an SOS signal. Family: Rhea Tanaka; Mother; (Deceased)Born as Rhea Sheikh, she lived most of her life in Kanpur along with her three other siblings. As her father ran a fabric factory in town, Rhea was one of the only girls in her neighbourhood with enough money to attend school. Knowing she had been given a rare opportunity, she put a lot of effort into her schoolwork, but the prejudice of the society against women caused her to receive marks much lower than she deserved. Nonetheless, she graduated high school, but was unable to get into a college or university. Being the daughter of a rich man, she never had the opportunity to gain a job, and ended up spending her days shopping and socializing. The circumstances of her meeting with Maxi are unknown (other than the fact that he had been relocated from his company in Japan), but they were married a few years after they met and lived in his home in Kanpur. Rhea's family wasn't too fond of her marriage with a Japanese man, but they didn't care enough to stop it. Eventually Esha was born, and four years later, Kaori himself. They had decided to name their first child with an Indian name and their second with a Japanese, which is how Kaori earned his name. A few years later, Rhea was killed in an explosion created by the India-vs-Pakistan wars. Kaori doesn't remember much about his mother, considering how young he was when she passed away. He does know that she was very kind to him, and that he never saw his parent fighting each other, so the relationship must have been strong. Maxi Tanaka; FatherUnlike Rhea, Maxi was not born to a rich family, but he was also not subject to prejudice. Though not at the top of his class, Maxi made it through school with above-average marks and entered business school with relative ease. Six years later he came out with a Masters in Human Resources and found a job at a multi-national business firm. Believing communication was key in business, Maxi studied various languages, including Hindi, which is how he ended up being sent to India and met Rhea. He continued to work in the Kanpur branch until Rhea's death, when he decided it would be best for the family to move back to Japan. He was met with some trouble because he had married an Indian woman, and the people in his hometown weren't too keen on inter-racial marriage, but the fact that he was now a single father with two kids balanced that out, so he managed to gain a job as HR Manager at a different company. Personality-wise, Maxi is very personable. After all, he's in Human Resources, so he pretty much has to be. He's kind to his children as well, but doesn't spend a lot of time with them due to his job. His relationship with his kids is very normal; enough so that the kids don't feel ignored, but not so much that they feel smothered. Esha Tanaka; Older SisterBeing born years before Kaori, the now 21-year-old spent a good amount of time in Kanpur, and unlike her brother, actually remembers it. To her, India is the country of her mother, and she always dreamed of visiting some her birthplace as an adult. Esha attended the same public school that Kaori later enrolled in, and also cleared the way to the same high school. Like most of her friends, she didn't discover what she wanted to do as a career until well into high school when she discovered that science classes were nowhere near as hard as their reputation claimed. She's currently enrolled in medical school. Despite her Indian name, Esha looks fairly Japanese and inherited her father's genes in order to grow long straight hair (black of course). She's also very sociable like her father, and quick-witted. And despite being a doctor-in-training, she will still use her wit to insult others if the situation calls for it. For the most part, however, she's a well-mannered girl with a good heart. She also gets along quite well with Kaori, probably due to the amount of time they spent together as kids when their dad was at work. Esha can also speak Hindi, Japanese, and English. She is a little overly enthusiastic about cuts and blood... Personal History: Pre-Digital World Kaori Tanaka was born in his mother’s hometown of Kanpur. He was a normal baby; drooling, crying, and eventually walking and talking. Little Hindi was learned before the Tanaka family moved to Japan after his mother’s death, so it was really Japanese that Kaori first learned to speak well.
His life moved on rather normally throughout childhood; no gambling addictions or anything. He attended school, pulled in between average and above-average grades, did decently in sports, had a few friends.
You know, normal kid stuff.
Except as he grew older, he realized something was missing. Becoming more aware of the world made him more aware of how much he wished his mother was still alive, even if he had barely known her. With his father working and his sister out with friends, Kaori would occasionally find himself alone and think. And the more he thought, the more he missed his mother.
That was when things started to get to him, and he realized the world wasn’t quite as perfect as the world liked him to believe. News did not help, as the TV blasted him with the realizations that there were criminals out there willing to do anything for their own gain. Funny thing...see, there were these people called “Politicians”. They seemed to go on about how great they would be to their people, but in his childlike naivety, Kaori could not distinguish these politicians from criminals. To Kaori, they were the same; using other people to their own ends.
Ah, but criminals were caught and prosecuted. Politicians lived the good life. Odd...
That was when Kaori would come to realize that even the apparent “best of people” wanted nothing more than to manipulate others to reach their goals.
Well hey, Kaori wanted to be successful, right? He could definitely follow in those footsteps.
As the boy grew older, manipulation became a passion. This was mostly applied in the forms of rigged card games, but other methods were available to him. And how strange was it that applying these not-so-ethical principles helped him become more sociable? Sure, he’d have to run for his life once in a while from pissing off the wrong person, but it never ended too badly.
Yes, life was good and as stable as he could expect. Post-Digital World Stability tends to fade when you get sucked through a computer into another world.
During what seemed to be a routine “job”, Kaori acquired an unknown digital device from another kid. The boy claimed it was a prototype of the next big thing in electronics. Well, at the very least Kaori could pull the same trick and sell it for some cash.
Deciding to first do some research to see if he himself had been conned, Kaori went to Shibuya’s main mall, only to find a teenage girl and young boy with the same type of device. While they seemed as confused as him, the sudden reaction between the youngest boy’s device and his laptop ended with the boy vanishing into thin air.
Dismissing this as some sort of illusion was one thing, but Kaori was determined to get the truth about this device now. Returning to the back alleys where he first acquired the device, he had a confrontation with the boy which ended with the device opening a portal into another world.
Once he awoke, he could no longer deny this as a trick; nobody went from Shibuya to an ice-laden mountain in seconds. With little to work with, Kaori followed a trail of light from the device towards an egg trapped in a block of ice. The device was quick to rescue the egg, and Kaori found himself carrying it until he found a TV that sent him back to Shibuya.
Hoping this was all some mad dream, he quickly took to bed. In the morning, however, the first device – a “D-3 Digivice” – had spawned a second device – a “D-Terminal”. What was more, the egg had hatched. Using this new D-Terminal, Kaori was able to locate a small yellow monster swiping his food in the kitchen. A small yellow monster which could talk (and did so with some serious attitude). Introducing itself as a Digital Monster named Zurumon, it seemed to believe Kaori would now be taking care of the little female slime.
Whether or not it made sense, this was truly happening. And it looked like Kaori was stuck with this rather sharp-witted Digimon, whom he dubbed “Zee”.
At school, Kaori ran into another Digital Monster taking the disguise of a human. This Digimon known as “Hi” was quickly entered into a race with Zee to reach the subway station. A subway station which had a secret platform only those with a Digivice could reach. A platform where trains poured in and out of the Digital World.
After a friendly scuffle between Zee and the rabbit Digimon, Kaori and Zee rested up in the hospital of Hub City. During the battle, the human had been told to give his energy to “Digivolve” Zee, but it wasn’t in his power to do. Frustrated with the lack of skill her “tamer” possessed, Zee made a break for it. Realizing he had come to care for the Zurumon (at least a little), Kaori went after her and made amends. Which turned out to be enough to Digivolve Zee into a higher form of power.
The next few days were spent relaxing at home, though the pair soon returned to the Digital World. Zee herself seemed to remember bits and pieces of what appeared to be a past life, but was still as curious as Kaori. A few mishaps occurred, unfortunately, but the pair was able to take refuge near a lake in the forest.
As Zee admired herself in the water, however, she found herself sinking. Kaori leapt after her only to be shocked into submission by his D-3 Digivice. The danger of the situation allowed Zee to Digivolve to PetitMamon form and save herself and her tamer.
The Digivice, however, continued to sink until it was consumed by a Seadramon. A battle between the newly evolved Rookie and the mighty Champion erupted, but was cut short when Seadramon was brought down by a squad of rabid Gekomon. Whether or not they liked it, the Digivice was gone.
Ah, but Zee seemed to remember an old friend who could craft them a new Digivice. A certain sorceress.
The problem was finding her.
Their Witch Hunt sent them across the Digital World. A barren valley provided no clues, so they left to a small mountain town. As the pair went back to their old tricks, they found the rage of a mighty Leomon. During a hasty escape, Kaori discovered the Digi-Egg of Mischief, which could be used alongside the D-Terminal to give Zee a new (albeit temporary) form. It was enough to disable the lion king, but they would still have to catch a train out of here.
Before they could do so, however, they were found by none other than the rabbit Digimon Hi. After a quick rematch, he joined forces with Zee to take down the rabid Leomon once and for all.
Next, a visit to an ancient temple in the ruins provided some interesting data. Despite the rage of the temple guardian Starmon, Kaori was able to discover blueprints for what appeared to be a next-generation model of the Digivice; the D-Arc. A Digivice that used cards? That was certainly interesting...
Again they ended up in a mountain town, this time much further north. A tamer named Calvary appeared to be heading the same way, garnering Kaori’s suspicions. Expecting to be stabbed in the back, Kaori made the first move...only to find out Calvary truly wasn’t out to get him. This was a tamer he could respect.
This time, Lady Luck was on their side; this was indeed where the sorceress lived! Except that the sorceress was currently conducting field research in – get this – the very mountain where Kaori had found Zee’s egg.
Go figure.
With their destination clear, nothing more than a few traps stood in their way. The Sorceress Taomon recognized Zee, and was intrigued by the idea of crafting a Digivice. She asked one favour in return; the securing of the Digi-Egg of Resolve.
What seemed to be a simple task would rock the foundations of Kaori’s beliefs. As they negotiated with the Digi-Egg’s guardians, something seemed to break inside of Zee. In a delusional state, the Gatomon lashed out at the guardians and villagers, striking them down in cold blood. Eventually she even turned on Kaori himself, who was quick to disable her Digivolution, but not quick enough to avoid taking a Lightning Paw attack head-on.
Zee was reduced to a Yaamon, and Kaori came to terms with what a dangerous world he had been living in. The one person he had truly come to trust had turned her back on him. He was angry. He should have left her.
But maybe he had changed more than he realized. For whatever reason, he made sure to save Zee from the riots of the remaining villagers while simultaneously plucking the Digi-Egg of Resolve they had come for.
The Digimental was delivered, but Sorceress Taomon said it would take time. In an effort to relax, Kaori and Zee went out to the plains outside Hub City. It wasn’t long before an argument erupted about Zee’s strange behaviour, leading to the pair splitting up. When they came across a weapon-wielding tamer named Angel, however, Kaori and Zee came together again for a friendly match of Gatomon vs Gatomon. A match they won with their old tricks.
In their own way, Kaori and Zee made peace with each other, but it did not change the fact that Zee did not trust her tamer with whatever had driven her mad. And for that, Kaori could not fully place his trust in her.
Returning to the sorceress, they picked up their rather genuine-looking D-3 Digivice. With it finally back in his hands, Kaori embarked to the Hub City station to travel back home.
What he didn’t expect was for Zee to refuse to come with him. It seemed she had her own problems to deal with for now.
With one month having passed since their split, Kaori decided to finally return to the Digital World. Which may have changed more than he realized...

Partner’s Name: Zee Alias: Battle Queen (self-proclaimed) Default Form: PetitMamon [Rookie] Gender: Female Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Skills/Talents: Experienced in combat, and holds unshakable courage. Full Line Passive Ability:
[Nosferatu's Veil] Allows Zee to drain energy from her surroundings, dependant on the situation. The more chaos or darkness that is around her, the more energy she can feed off to give herself slight health regeneration and sharper senses. More difficult to use in very bright or very peaceful circumstances. Can siphon energy for up to 5 posts at a time, after which a sharp increase in chaos is needed to activate the ability again.
Personality:
A Digimon who’s never heard of the term “tact”.
Zee is as mischief-loving as her tamer, though as a Digimon she has many more means through which to mess with others. Manipulation is not as important to her, as she prefers simpler pranks. Of course, she’s not opposed to manipulation should the chance for it arise. She can appear to be rather childish, often throwing a tantrum when she doesn’t get her way. Extremes of emotions (read: anger) are commonplace for the Battle Queen.
Speaking of which, nothing beats an intense fight in getting her blood pumping. Seriously harming someone is against her nature, however, but again something she could be convinced of depending on the situation.
Like Kaori, she has issues with trusting others. For whatever reasons, her past life is something that should not be brought up (except for bragging). She almost appears to have a serene and even mournful air when reminded of that time.
Courage is rampant in her, even if she has no reason to be courageous given the odds. What, you think a Fresh Digimon can’t take on a Rookie? Don’t say that around Zee; she’s actually gone into such a matchup as the Fresh Digimon....and won. She’s not afraid of much (or possibly anything), and her lack of fear can often be of use when she defends others. Though she’ll quickly follow up any sort of seemingly nice behaviour by insulting her friend’s lack of ability and explaining how they’re so useless and need protecting (read: tsundere).
Since the revelation of her not being Kaori's true Digimon, she became understandably more distant (both emotionally and literally). She also seems wiser about how to act in the situation than one would think given her other personality attributes. Perhaps she is smarter than she likes to let on...
Personal History:
Very little is known about Zee’s past to Kaori. Like most Digimon, one can assume Zee was initially born in Primary Village. In her past life, she was able to reach as high as Ultimate, where the LadyDevimon was known as the “Battle Queen” and lived in the northern mountains. Among others, she was friends with the Sorceress Taomon.
For some unknown reasons, however, Zee died and was reduced to her egg form, which was frozen in the mountains she called home. Somehow she became assigned to the human Kaori Tanaka during this time, as his Digivice freed her.
Ah, but that was not natural. Someone or something tampered with the device so that Zee would be assigned as Kaori’s partner in place of Illyana. Having found out the truth, Zee left the false relationship with her ex-tamer. Holosuit: Horror of AntiquityThough not as frightening as the name suggests, the Horror of Antiquity holosuit is one that Zee took a liking to due to the spunky nature of the appearance. It also gives her a darken skin tone akin to Kaori, since he is the guideline against which she determines what the average human looks like. In addition, she prefers not to have excessive heavy clothes weighing her down, so this works perfectly. Not to mention that her own higher-levelled forms sport similar white hair.
FaceClaim: FINAL FANTASY XI • prishe • ZeeDigivolution Chart:
Fresh: Zurumon Attribute: Virus Family: Nightmare Soldiers Type: Slime Digimon Appearance:
Attacks:
[Heat Shot] Spits a high-temperature yellow bubble at the foe. Causes light stinging upon impact.
Field Abilities:
[Toxic Head] Immune to status effects of poisons (unless administered by those of Rookie or higher level).
Digivolves To: Yaamon
In-Training: Yaamon Attribute: Virus Family: Nightmare Soldiers Type: Lesser Digimon Appearance:
Attacks:
[Rolling Black] “Rolls” up nearby shadows into a ball of dark energy to strike foes. More powerful when more shadows are visible, but at the end of the day it’s an In-Training attack, so don’t expect much.
[Dark Song] While Zee hums a certain tune, visible black music notes began to float around her. Anyone who comes into contact with them will hear a sharp scream echo inside their head.
Field Abilities:
[Shadow Cloak] Can recolour itself black to blend in with shadows.
Digivolves To: PetitMamon
Rookie: PetitMamon Attribute: Virus Family: Nightmare Soldiers Type: Small Devil Digimon Appearance:
Attacks:
[Petit Curse] Lets out a high-frequency yell that causes minor headaches to anyone within hearing distance. Often seen outside of battle through tantrums (much to Kaori’s annoyance).
[Petit Charge] Concentrates dark energy across her staff to reinforce blows. Should she choose to, the energy can be fired as a beam of dark energy towards foes.
[Petit Nightmare] Ah, the ultimate prank!
A black fog appears to shroud her form. And while she may choose to use this fog to escape, this ability goes even further. As the fog fades, Zee reappears in the form of any Digimon she chooses. Of course, this is but an illusion to frighten foes; she does not gain any abilities of whatever she chooses to transform into. In addition, the transformation is simply a trick of vision. Fades if she is struck, or after 3 posts. Cooldown is time transformed - 1 post.
Field Abilities:
[Echo Vision] Harnessing sound waves, Zee can see perfectly in the dark and can easily decipher illusions of Champion or lower level.
Digivolves To:
Gatomon, the Purr of Mischief Armor Champion [Mischief]:: Gatomon Attribute: Vaccine Family: Nature Spirits Type: Animal Digimon Appearance:
Attacks:
[Lightning Paw] Discharges blue electricity across her body to punish close-combat fighters. Often seen applied to her claws to deliver a shocking slash to opponents.
[Cat Tail] A powerful tail-whip attack during which a shadowy ring appears on her tail and is throw towards the enemy. If the ring itself strikes a target, it causes a strong ringing sensation in their head. Regardless, this attack is useful for redirecting projectiles (though not necessarily directly at the launcher).
[Cat’s Eye Hypnotism] A soft blue glow illuminates the Gatomon’s eyes as her opponents fall into sleep. Should they be looking at her eyes, of course. The sleep lasts for three posts maximum, and one cannot wake up on their own internal power from it before 2 posts. If however the sleeper is struck by an attack or awaken by an ally, it will wear off. Cooldown is amount of time sleep lasted - 1 post.
[Cat Mischief] An illusionary technique greater than the last!
Rather than transforming into a horrifying beast, Zee can create up to five clones of herself with this technique. All have the same movements, voice, and are generally indistinguishable from the original.
The catch? It’s all nothing but an optical illusion! They thus fade if struck by an attack.
Lasts five posts max, with cooldown of time lasted - 1 post.
Field Abilities:
[Alertness] All five senses are heightened in this form, making Gatomon a great scout. They do make her sensitive to certain things however, such as loud noises.
[I'll Nap Later] Completely resistant to the effects of sleeping abilities.
Digivolves To: Gallianmon (Digimental of Resolve)
Champion: BlackSirenmon Attribute: Virus Family: Nightmare Soldiers Type: Fallen Angel Digimon Appearance:
Picture courtesy of a good friend of mine.
Attacks:
[Contract One: Trauma] Zee surrounds her staff with a shadowy substance that gives her attacks an airy-feel for the next attack. More importantly, the energy reinforces the blunt force of her attacks while also causing a powerful headache to her opponents upon contact. The headache lasts 2 posts with a 1 post cooldown.
[Contract Two: Crescent] Extends a long, sharp whip from the fingers of her left hand. Whether it is used to bind foes or simply slash at them all depends on Zee’s mood. Exceptional range.
[Contract Three: Void] Launches a concentrated ball of darkness that proceeds to suck in projectiles in an effort to grow itself. If it comes in contact with a living being, it explodes in a shadowy mess.
[Contract Four: Destroy] A final all-or-nothing attack, Zee calls for a single blue beam of light to strike down from the sky. Upon contact, the light grows at an exponential rate into a blue sphere that deals incredibly heavy damage to anything that it touches.
To perform this move means to forsake the use of any other Contract during the remainder of the battle, so it is something of a desperation attack.
Field Abilities:
[Full Negate] Not affected by any status-effect moves of equal or lower level, whether they are debuffs or buffs.
[Captivation] BlackSirenmon’s voice seems to be filtered by the listener into sounding incredibly beautiful based on the listener’s view.
Digivolves To:
Champion [Dark]: Fangmon Attribute: Virus Family: Nightmare Soldiers Type: Demon Beast Digimon Appearance:
Attacks:
[Sniper Steal] After taking aim in a motionless position, Fangmon makes one brutally fast jump towards the target for a fierce biting attack. Due to this form's sharp eyes, this can easily be used to steal items from the target.
[Blast Coffin] With only the slightest of breaths, Fangmon's mouth is filled with a red energy that fires in an arrow-shape towards the target. In addition to damage from a direct hit, it makes an overly dramatic explosion upon contact with any surface in the hopes of splash damage.
[I’ll Huff and I’ll Puff...] With a low-register growl, Fangmon becomes translucent and difficult to spot. Combined with her already great speed, this allows Zee to avoid being detected easily.
The ability lasts for 3 posts and has a 2 post cooldown.
[All the Better to Eat You With!] Pulsing in dark blue for a moment, Zee stomps down and causes jagged pieces of earth to rise upwards for a single post. Their sudden appearance allows them to be used for offense, but their complicated, toothy design makes them a strong defense.
Special Abilities:
[Old Friend] Fangmon gives off a strange scent that feels familiar to anyone who inhales it, as if that of an old friend. It can help disorient enemies.
Digivolves To: -
Gallianmon, the Roar of Resolve Armor Perfect [Resolve]: Gallianmon Attribute: Data Family: Nature Spirits Type: Catgirl Digimon Appearance:
Grandfather Clause - Lethe of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Attacks:
[Bane] Delivers a poisonous strike with her claws or fangs using a toxin she is naturally immune to. Those with the poison in their system will experience slowly-worsening blurry vision for five posts. Cooldown of four posts.
[Crush] A powerful downwards strike which doubles the force of gravity around her for the post, letting her deliver a frighteningly powerful attack. One post cooldown.
[Rend] Reinforces her fists and feet with a blue energy before delivering a powerful strike. Can also be used to push the terrain into the foe, such as punching into the ground and sending a wave of rock towards enemies.
[Howl] Emits a mighty roar that shakes the very air and causes paralysis in those within hearing range for one post (assuming they are Ultimate level or lower). Unlike Petit Curse, however, Zee can filter this ability so that her allies are not affected by it. Cooldown of 1 post.
[RAM UPGRADE: Guard] Just before an attack lands against her, a flash of gold light surrounds Zee and cancels the one attack (assuming it is of Ultimate level or lower). Afterwards, there is a two post cooldown.
[Savage] Letting her beastly instincts take over, Zee crosses the boundary from catgirl to cat. A giant purple house-cat, to be specific. And while not known as the most dangerous type of feline in the human world, this transformed state truly pushes the limits of what a Perfect-level Digimon can do.
The catch? Letting herself go to her instincts means Zee has little control over her actions. All that matters is her strong will to continue fighting.
This form cannot be called off for at least 8 posts, or until she is knocked unconscious or runs out of energy. Can be used once per thread.
Field Ability:
[Beast Instincts] Can somewhat sense impeding danger, giving Gallianmon an amazing reaction time.
[Awareness] With some concentration, Gallianmon can see what is happening in a 30 foot radius around her. Unusable in “Savage” form.
Digivolves To: -
Ultimate [True]: LadyDevimon Attribute: Virus Family: Nightmare Soldiers Type: Fallen Angel Digimon Appearance:
Attacks:
[Darkness Wave] Releases a cloud of bats for a single post to attack foes.
[Latent Corruption] Lays a sphere of nearly-transparent purple energy in a location within arms reach. This sphere will explode to damage foes after 3 posts, but can also be remotely detonated by Zee any time before.
Only two spheres may be laid on the field at a time. Adding a third will cause the first to instantly explode, though with much less power than a remote detonation.
Cooldown of 2 posts.
[Devil’s Charm] Creates a demonic pentagram in the air in front of her to block enemy attacks. Zee can move this shield with her mind to any side of her body. Lasts 3 posts max, or until broken by enemy attacks (3 Ultimate, 4 Champion, or 5 Rookie). Cooldown is amount of time it lasts - 1 post (minimum cooldown of 1 post).
[Hell’s Contract] Creates a small sphere of black energy in her hand and tosses it at the foe. As the sphere continues forward, it grows in size as if rolling up the air itself. The further away the opponent, the larger its potential size. However, the maximum size of the sphere is a diameter of 20 ft.
[Chain Roulette] An aura of darkness surrounds Zee as she begins to concentrate. Within moments, the aura flashes out as multiple chains to bind and crush enemies.
Field Abilities:
[Trap Master] Takes only one quarter of the damage if caught in Latent Corruption.
[Echo Vision] Through the use of rays constantly fired from her wings, LadyDevimon can see even in total darkness. She’s also less affected by vision clouding techniques such as smoke.
Digivolves To:
Ultimate [Glitched]: Cho-Hakkaimon Attribute: Data Family: Nature Spirits Type: Puppet Digimon Appearance:
Attacks:
[Strike Strike Strike MINCE] A brutal series of attacks with her rocket-rake. Each radical swing of the rake has Zee fire out a crescent wave of pixilated pink energy towards her foes, making this a brutal onslaught of both close and long range attacks. There are 10 swings at max in a post. Each crescent is about 6 feet in size.
[Roast of the Pig] An aura of pink pixilated energy surrounds Zee, lasting 3 posts. During this time the data within her body is perfectly stable, giving her an increase in speed during this time. It is not comparable to the speed of a Mega, but it is above what one normally sees from an Ultimate. Fast enough, in fact, to leave a trail of after-images. Afterwards there is a two post cooldown period.
[Ocean Blast] A seemingly harmless technique in which a bunch of pixilated balloons (in all colours) appear from nowhere and spread across the battlefield. At best they can reach a 20 foot radius, but they are not very densely packed, or even packed in a balanced formation. The balloons then detonate with a surprising force of water in a radius of 3 feet (each balloon). Zee may have them detonate in the post they are created, or have them stay around for up to 3 posts max before explosion. Regardless, there is a 2 post cooldown afterwards.
[Swimsuit Shield] Cho-Hakkaimon’s swimsuit glows with a fierce blue light, but the rest of her body seems unaffected. In reality, her shining swimsuit activates an invisible barrier around her entire body. This barrier can take one of the following number of hits; 1 Mega, 2 Ultimate, 3 Champion, or 4 Rookie. Afterwards it shatters and cannot be reformed for another 2 posts. The shield can also last up to 3 posts before breaking of its own power.
[Drowning Syndrome] A status technique that begins with Zee firing a jet of water at the enemy from her hands (or feet, or mouth). Upon striking the enemy, it does little damage and instead activates a status technique. This technique makes the opponent feel like their lungs are being filled with water for one turn, and they can’t escape an inevitable drowning. After the one post the illusion will be cast off, but during that time Zee can launch a physical attack or make an escape. Hell, if the enemy really believes it they might even faint! Cooldown of 2 posts afterwards. A max of two Digimon may be sent into a “drowning” state at a time.
Field Abilities:
[Jet Rake] Using her rake as a sort of witch’s broom, Zee can actually fly in this form. Not at some amazing speed, but decently enough.
[Glitch Fest] Cho-Hakkaimon isn’t very stable, so her body seems to short-circuit here and there like her pixels are being glitched. Due to this glitched state, she cannot be properly read by any digital devices as anything but an anomaly.
Digivolves To: -
Mega: Lilithmon Attribute: Virus Family: Nightmare Soldiers Type: Demon Lord Digimon Appearance:
Attacks:
[Lustful Ribbons] Extends the various ribbons on her outfit to slice through nearby foes. Or possibly just capture them, if Zee’s feeling generous.
[Malevolent Crystal] A 5 foot crystal of dark energy appears in front of Zee. It can be remotely controlled by Zee to act as a shield or crash into foes and explode. As a shield they can each take 1 Mega attack, 2 Ultimate, or 3 Champion attacks.
As many as 3 Crystals may be on the field at one time. Can last up to five posts on their own. Cooldown of four posts.
[Shadow Flare] Shoots a tiny sparkling blast of dark energy (the size of her fingernail) towards enemies. On contact, it explodes with massive dark force in a diameter of 30 feet.
[Phantom Pain] Begins with the Lilithmon coating her claws in blue energy and slashing at foes. A status-based attack, this causes the opponent to believe they have been fatally injured (through a method dependent on the affected body itself). Again, no true physical damage is done, but the trauma of believing death is coming soon certainly stops the enemy from fighting back too much.
Fades after 3 posts. Cannot stack with Darkness Love or Evil Sigh (status effect only). Cooldown of 2 posts.
[Evil Sigh] Forms a transparent-purple dome barrier around herself to block enemy attacks (3 Mega, 4 Ultimate, or 5 Champion). When finally broken down, the barrier will leak miasma into the field within a 15 ft radius. This miasma causes blurriness of vision and general dizziness (though obviously not to Zee).
Fades after 3 posts. Should the enemy already be affected by Darkness Love or Phantom Pain, the miasma will not have any effect. Cooldown of 2 posts.
[Darkness Love] A shadow-attack that strikes from below the enemy in the form of multiple spears. Upon contact, this does no physical damage. Instead, the ability aims to send the opponent’s emotions into a mess and make the remainder of the battle difficult for them.
Fades after 3 posts. Cannot stack with Phantom Pain or Evil Sigh (status effect only). Cooldown of 2 posts.
Ah, a mess of emotions. What more could be called “love”?
Field Abilities:
[Negation] Not affected by mind-effecting techniques (causing her to see fantasies, feel fear, see illusions, etc). Normal status moves such as poisons and burns still affect her.
[Lust Sin] Continuously gives off pheromones that cause those attracted to the female sex to be attracted to Zee.
Digivolves To: -
Mega [True]: AlzochmonAttribute: VirusFamily: Nightmare SoldiersType: Demon Queen DigimonAppearance:Grandfather Clause - Midna of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Attacks:
[Twilight Realm] Forms a large black circle around that quickly extends to 200 ft. Once at its maximum size, it creates an invisible barrier to prevent anything from getting in or out (except those who Zee willingly allows to pass through). Though not invincible, it is extremely resilient and can take approximately 1 Super Mega attack, or 2 Mega, or 4 Ultimate. Anything lower than Ultimate cannot break through it. If not broken, the dome lasts for 5 posts, with a 4 post cooldown. If broken, the cooldown is however long the dome stayed up - 1 post.
[Lobo Hunt] Summons up to 5 wolves made of shadow energy to attack her foes. These wolves only possess physical abilities on par with a Champion, but can be useful nonetheless. Zee can choose to control them manually, or leave them to do as they please. Either way, the wolves will never attack Zee or Kaori. Maintain themselves for five posts if not destroyed. Cooldown is four posts.
[Chaos Arsenal] Summons a pitch-black sword to aid her in battle. The blade can freely change shape between a longsword, a pair of knives, a bastard sword, or a spear.
[Dusk Fang] Creates fifteen arrows of darkness around herself before firing them at a rapid rate into enemies. The arrows pack a brutal sting. They may all be fired in one post, or be spread out among up to three posts. If spread out, cooldown is how many posts they lasted - 1.
[Nightmare Shield] Creates up to three floating shields of dark energy to block enemy attacks. They can be freely controlled to protect Zee from various angles, or even protect Kaori.
When broken, dark miasma leaks into the opponent and causes the opponent to see everything in reverse; up is down, left is right. Very disorienting, wouldn’t you say? Often Zee may detonate the shield on purpose instead of using it to defend herself, simply to apply the status effect on her foes.
Status fade after 5 posts or after being broken. Cooldown of 4 posts.
[Daydream Syndrome] Ah, now THIS is an illusion!
Emitting an almost invisible fragrance with a wave of her hands, Zee can send the opponents into a daydream where their ultimate fantasies have come true. While the foe is in this trance, Zee can easily move in and strike. The fragrance reaches out to anyone within a ten foot radius.
A major attack against the affected individual will shatter the illusion. Otherwise fades after 3 posts. Cooldown of 2 posts.
Digivolves To: -
Biomerge: Piedmon Attribute: Virus Family: Nightmare Soldiers Type: Wizard Digimon Appearance:
Attacks:
[Trump Sword] Extends his four daggers into full-fledged longswords. Generally two are kept in Piedmon’s hands while the other two float around him and remotely attack foes at high speeds. The blades also give off an ice mist effect that makes them slightly difficult to see while also making the blades intensely cold on contact.
[Trump Card] Tosses out a single razor-sharp playing card. With the snap of his fingers, however, Piedmon can multiply the card into 30 separate cards to rain destruction on his foes. Explode on contact. All can be fired in one post, or spread over 3 posts. Cooldown if spread is amount of time spread - 1 post. Alternatively, Piedmon may use card-sized pies instead of cards.
[Circus Trick: Lion Tamer] Generates an exceptionally long bladed whip of non-elemental energy to bind and strike foes. Each end of the whip is decorated with a blade (that may be turned off should Piedmon want to use it as a traditional whip).
[Circus Trick: Fool’s Vision] A defensive ability that that creates a dome shield around Piedmon. Can be used to block attacks, but will break after taking a certain amount of damage (3 Super Mega attacks, 5 Mega, Ultimate and lower cannot break it). Lasts 5 posts if not broken with cooldown of 4.
What’s interesting about this ability is that it also has an illusionary aspect; whenever an opponent’s attack is blocked by this shield, they will see it as Piedmon dodging the blow with ease. This can lead to frustration and the inability to realize a shield has been put up.
[Circus Trick: Nightmare Strike] An improvement upon PetitMamon’s Petit Nightmare, this ability allows Piedmon to actually shape-shift into anything he desires. Again he does not gain the abilities of his chosen transformation, but this is nonetheless a powerful illusion technique that can force his foes to fight the ones they love. Also more than a simple optical illusion like the PetitMamon’s technique. Lasts up to 5 posts with 4 post cooldown.
[Circus Trick: The Cat Came Back] An improvement upon Gatomon’s Cat Illusion, this ability allows Piedmon to make both real and illusionary clones of himself. Each real clone is noticeably weaker than him (about as strong as an average Ultimate), but the mixture of illusions and real clones can cause frustration to Piedmon’s enemies. Maximum of 10 clones with max of 5 of each type. Lasts 5 posts with 4 post cooldown.
[Mask Square] The ability begins as Piedmon extends a sphere of energy up to 500 feet around him. Anything inside the sphere is cut off from the world and put into a dimension of Piedmon’s own creation.
In this world, Piedmon gains an impressive boost in speed and can freely control all inanimate objects inside with his mind. Lasts 10 posts and can be used once per thread. Can also be broken by 5 Super Mega attacks, or 8 Mega.
Field Abilities:
[Circus Trick: Speak Your Mind] So long as Piedmon is starting directly into a person’s eyes, they will be forced to answer any question it asks truthfully.
[Circus Trick: Parkour Fanatic] Can move with exceptional speed and skill regardless of terrain (including flight).

NPC (Kaori's True Partner): Illyana Gender: Female Alignment: Neutral Good
Despite being a DemiDevimon, Illyana is a very softhearted individual. Seemingly a friend of Zee's made after Kaori left, she seems adamant about remaining at the tamer's side and protecting him in the PetitMamon's steed. She has a sense of innocence not common in most Digimon, and is not the most confident girl around. Regardless, she tries hard to protect what's important to her. Unfortunately she lacks courage and is fairly naive in comparison to Kaori's "street smarts"; the little bat had lived a fairly innocent life. That said, she can be passive-aggressive at times...
With Kaori's help, Illyana is able to activate her Nohemon state. As this is Illyana's Champion form, she is quite a bit braver and more confident in her abilities. This is only to an extent; she still likes to pretend she's the scarecrow portion and hide the truth of being the crow itself to avoid contact. Though part of her enjoys being around others in the sense of having friends, she is ultimately one who prefers to be on her own. Even to Kaori she has trouble opening up.
Holosuit: Shiko-hojiFalling in line with her personality, Ilyana chose a more conservative and elegant appearance for her holosuit. The hair seems to give off an almost princess-like feel while also maintaining the blue that she prides herself on. The dress is also at a perfect level to neither hinder movement nor reveal too much.
FaceClaim: ELEMENTAL GELADE • reverie metherlence • Ilyana (Kaori's NPC)
Passive Ability (All Forms)
[Silent Step] Regardless of her current form, Illyana is skilled in moving with extreme silence. Though she is not absolutely silent, she is incredibly difficult to hear or spot when dedicated to stealth.
Permanent Rookie NPC: DemiDevimon Attribute: Virus Family: Nightmare Soldiers Type: Small Devil Digimon Appearance:
Attacks:
[Demi Dart] Spits out a syringe from her mouth towards enemies. Should it connect, it melts into the target and causes extreme itchiness in the attacked area. The itchiness lasts for 3 posts. Cooldown of 2 posts.
[Bat Flutter] With a mighty flap, she sends down a small tornado of dark blue energy which bursts into needles upon her command.
[Doll Magic] A defensive ability which calls a doll of a ghost (classic white-blanket style) to defend against the next attack. The doll can move and fly on its own, and is destroyed in 3 posts or after taking 2 Rookie attacks, 3 In-Training, or 4 Fresh. Cooldown of how long it lasted - 1 post.
Passive Abilities:
N/A
Permanent Champion NPC: Nohemon Attribute: Virus Family: Nature Spirits Type: Puppet Digimon Appearance:
Attacks:
[Delusion Crow] An attack used by the crow herself, Illyana fires a translucent blue blade of energy towards her enemies. Upon contact, it does damage and also puts the target to sleep for one post. Cooldown of 1 post.
[William’s Arrow] Ilyana makes her scarecrow puppet fire an arrow of light-based energy towards attackers.
[William’s Glove] Fires her gloves off like rockets to strike the foe with great force. Note that the gloves can be freely controlled once removed by the crow’s ESP.
[The Vengeance of Oz] The scarecrow explodes with great force, leaving behind a trail of straw. The crow escapes and is unharmed, but the scarecrow does not regenerate for another 2 posts, leaving it vulnerable.
Passive Abilities:
[Puppet Master] Illyana herself (as the crow) can control the scarecrow body from up to 25 feet away without trouble. She can also see through the scarecrow's eyes as needed.
