Fairies and Hats and Cake, Oh My! (Hiroyo)
|
Post by Tink on Jun 6, 2018 0:37:01 GMT
Finally, cake time! There were so many delicious cakes, and now she could have them! Tink 'om nom noms' into the nearest one with chocolate in or on it. "Mmmm~<3" The Tinkermon approves!
Hiroyo asks her about her wings, causing her to pause her eating and start blushing. "Welll... kinda. They're a bit... excitable. They sometimes show my emotions, I guess."
Roger then also has something to ask Tink. "Yes, what is it, you cute bug~?" Flirtatious flattery for her fan, he's sure to appreciate that! What Roger asks is a bit surprising to her. Somehow, being a fairy means she knows strong Digimon? How does that even make any sense?
"I don't real-" Tink begins, before realizing that yes, she does have strong friends. "Hmm... I think I know someone, but... they might be too strong. are you suuuure you're looking for someone super duper strong? I'm not saying you're weak though. You look as strong as you are cute. But..."
She pauses for dramatic effect.
"I know the disciple to a Royal Knight's Apostle."

"A Royal Knight's Apostle's disciple?" One could practically see Roger's body light up with excitement. Wait, scratch that, one could literally see sparks of electricity starting to jump across his skin. Those words were music to his ears. If he fought the disciple and won, would he be able to fight the Apostle after that? "That sounds amazing! They must be really strong. You have to-"
"No. Absolutely not." Morgan cut in, slamming one of his larger forearms on the table and flat out glaring at his twin. Contrary to his normally hard to read tone the anger was evident in his voice. "You know what that would cost. Do not be so hasty to push others towards their death."
"Pfft! Nobody would have to die for it! I'm sure they would agree to a friendly bout of Champion or below. Aren't the Knight's all about 'proving one's strength in battle' or some such?" Roger didn't seem worried by the censure at all he had received at all. His tone was still flippant, except when he did his best to give his imitation of the overly stuffy voice he used to quote what he thought the knights would be about.
Hiroyo stayed silent throughout, almost seeming to shrink into herself as she nibbled on her cupcake.

Tink grins as she sees the sparks come off of Roger. So she wasn't the only one who had a tell for her emotions! Morgan tries to be a party pooper, however, when he attempts to dissuade Roger. Luckily, Roger has none of that, and Tink backs him up. "Acshually," Tink exclaims with a mouth full of cake. "Dio'sh pretty cool. Ashk niceshly and give him proper- " gulp - "respect, and he'll be sure to give you a friendly sparring match! I'm just glad you aren't asking 'why not fight the apostle or the Royal Knight' because that would be a silly question!"
The tiny fairy goes back to munching down on the delicious cakes. "Mmm... strawberry~" She was in heaven! And not that Empyrean Skies heaven, that place was terrible. That reminds her. "Oh hey, I haven't talked too much about me yet have I? I've been looking for something very dear to me, though nothing that can be found by anyone but me. Just tried to go to the Empyrean Skies..." Tink pouts, looking halfway between slight anger and sadness. "It... didn't work too well. Didn't get in far enough to find what I'm looking for because I'm a virus type so everyone was suspicious of me. Maybe if I learn how to be invisible or wear a disguise, then..." At least there was something to look forward to, so she changes the subject to it. Also, now I'm excited about cheering for the volleyball game, and meeting Lilimon! Thank you~"

“Hah! See? Friendly spar! Hiroyo has to get use to us fighting anyway! We can’t expect we’ll always be able to run away or that someone will intervene on our behalf anyways!” Roger waggled his antenna at his brother before turning and all but diving into his own chocolate cupcake with his beak. Morgan’s eyes narrowed and his antenna twitched in irritation but he seemed content to go back to picking at his own cupcake.
Hiroyo leaned back in her chair and sighed. Wether it was a sigh of relief that the squabble between siblings had been stopped so easily or a sign of contentment from the cupcake she had just eaten was up for debate, but both options were equally likely.
“So you’ve been to a few places we haven’t!” She said, the smile coming naturally to her face as she watched the tiny fairy. Tink was just so cute! Hiroyo really wanted to scoop her up and hug her but she had a feeling Tink would not appreciate the gesture! Or maybe she would? She seemed really pleased earlier when Hiroyo had complimented her! Still, the reference to the flying city had Hiroyo curious. It hadn’t been too long ago that Silverman had mentioned the place as well.
“It seems really rude that they wouldn’t be nice just because you’re virus!” Hiroyo seemed quite offended on Tink’s behalf at the treatment the fairy had received! The human really wanted to ask more about Luminas, but Tink had dropped a juicier tidbit. "Well, I'm glad you're excited for seeing the volleyball game. I really hope Lilimon shows up!"
“What’re you looking for, oh lovely fairy?” Roger asked. He lifted his head from where he had been ripping his cupcake into pieces and then swallowing those chunks whole. It was a really horrific way of eating, and HIroyo was just glad he had stopped for the moment.

"So that solves that," Tink agrees cheerfully as the fight about... well, fights... comes to an end. The power of soft logic and delicious cupcakes wins again! She mimics the others and mows down more cake. "mm... you guys are the best! Thank you again for the wonderful cake and company!"
Tink has been places that Hiroyo and co have not. That makes her an adventurer, doesn't it? "I've been all kinds of amazing places. There's so much to see in this world, and there's more and more each day!"
Tink frowns and wing-flickers over the virus prejudice. "I knowwww, right?" She pokes and lightly punches a cupcake in frustration. "If I was a perfect, pretty, pretentious angel Digimon instead of a flawed yet cute fairy of real substance, they'd let me in. Could you imagine me as an angel? Haha... I've got wings, but that's about it."
Cheering for Lilimon was a very exciting prospect. "I sure hope she's there! I'm gonna go all out on the cheering!" As for why she wants to see Lilimon, it ties into what she has been searching for. "Oh you flatterer," she giggles, half-waving off Roger's compliment. "I'm looking for... my past life. I should be content with this one. I AM content with this one. But something about my previous life keeps poking me!"

"Well from what I've been hearing you would make a better angel than some of those meanies in Luminas!" said Hiroyo quite forcefully. She was starting to seriously dislike those jerks in the sky and she had never even been there! She angrily bit into a vanilla cupcake with pink frosting and immediately felt her anger fade as a thick raspberry jam in the center of the cupcake flooded her mouth. "Mmm-mm! They need to chill out and have some cupcakes! Cakes make everything better."
There was a loud snort from Morgan's direction but he didn't say anything. There was a general air of amused disbelief at Hiroyo's comment, but for now he was content to just carefully and cleanly munch on his blueberry treat.
"Ohoho, you might think me a flatterer but I'm just saying the truth!" Hiroyo choked on her cupcake but raised a free hand to preemptively wave off any offers of help. Roger ignored her and gamely continued on. His focus was split only between Tink and the remains of his own cupcake. "Do you think she might be someone you know from back then?"

"You think so," Tink asks Hiroyo, "that I'd make a better angel? Maybe~" She giggles and floats in the ear with her hands on her hips. "Look at me, I'm PicoAngewomon the cute, innocent, holy Vaccine attribute angel Digimon! I'm so bright and pure and pretty, la la la la la~ Nobody would think I'm a virus or anything, teehee~!"
The 'angel' floats back down and resumes eating. She is about to bite into a blueberry cupcake, then pauses, and drags it closer to her but off to one side. "Musclemon likes blueberries," she mumbles quietly to herself, then responds to Hiroyo's cake and angels assertion. "But... don't they have angel food cake?"
Tink flutters her eyelashes at Roger with a sweet smile. "Such a sweet charming cute bug~ I hope she is from my past, but she probably isn't.... there's only one way to find out though, isn't there?"

"Ehehe, you know with some white feathers you could probably make yourself a pair of wings!" Hiroyo propped her head up on one hand after giggling at Tink's acting. It seemed completely passable to the human. "I'm pretty good at make-up. You don't really need it, but it'd probably help disguise you as not-you if you wanted to go that route!"
"Angewoman are typically about the same color, although perhaps hiding the markings on your face would be a wise idea." Morgan offered. He seemed vaguely amused by the thought of Tink playing angel. He glanced briefly at the blueberry cupcake that Tink seemed to be saving but didn't remark on it, his own had been so good he couldn't blame her for saving some for later. "Perhaps turning them blue or gold? Or creating different markings entirely. However you would want to put considerable effort into the outfit."
Roger perked up almost immediately at Tink's compliment. He was quite the smug bug which meant he was generous with his well wishes. "Well, you might be in luck, who knows?"

Tink giggles and laughs, but then slows her laughter down as she gave the ideas some serious thought. "Hahaha..ha... hm.... you know... that might work. If I want back in, I can't be me, so... maybe I will be someone else. I... might as well give it a shot."
Hiroyo and Morgan touch on an important point. "Yes... my markings need to be hidden. I got my face ones, and I got one that's on my leg." Marking? It was a tattoo, a heart with an arrow through it! That was unlikely to pass as an Angewomon marking of any kind! "So... you're good at makeup? Maybe you could help! If... if that's not too much to ask. You've already made me happy with these delish cupcakes..." Not wanting to ask for more surprises Tink herself. What is it about humans making her less selfish?
"What would I need..." Tink goes over a mental checklist. "I cannot summon my lancey speary thing, it doesn't look angelic at all. I need to hide my marks. And feather things for my wings don't seem to hard. But... the outfits... I need an angel-y one and a cheerleader-y one. So I can cheer for Lilymon properly!" Perhaps she was getting off track, but it excites her too.

"Hey yeah! Sometime I'd be happy to help you out with your make-up! I don't think I could really help you with the rest of the costume right now though. Hm." Hiroyo curled a hand around her chin and stared down at her cupcake deep in thought about where to get the materials for a costume. While she was completely confident in her make-up abilities, she wasn't so sure she could do much as far as the costume went. That would probably require someone else who was skilled in the area. After a while she finally picked up her head with a serious expression. "We should plan this out carefully."
"You should probably save your planning," Morgan said, a thin layer of amusement barely audible beneath the dryness. "Today's volleyball games start in fifteen minutes."
Hiroyo yelped something that was definitely and expletive and jumped up from the table to dart away to the building. A few seconds later she would come back with three boxes that were all equal in size. She hastily dropped the boxes to the table and began filling one of them. "Tell me what you want in your box and I'll pack it! It's a ten minute walk to the beach from here!"
"Sounds like you'd better run then!" Roger cackled.

"Thank you so much Hiroyo!" Tink smiles sweetly, happy that her human friend was willing to help, until she admitted she couldn't help with the costume easily. The little fairy glares, wings starting to spark as she balls up her fists. "What do you mean you c-" she starts, but then her wing glow fades, and she breathes calming breaths. "Eep. Wow. Sorry about that. Just sooo much stress, y'know? Guess earlier caught back up to me."
Morgan then sounds the volleyball alarm! "W-what? T-ten minutes!?" Tink's wings flash again, sending out an SOS not of anger but of pure panic. "What do we do? Where do we go? Will we make it? I need the blueberry cupcake and one with chocolate of some kind!" She buzzes and flutters around frantically, zig-zagging through the air around Hiroyo and co. "Th-there's enough time if we hurry! We gotta go go go now now now!"

"Do your wings typically glow like that?" Morgan asked, completely unaffected by the bustle of activity that Tink and Hiroyo were producing. Roger opened his beak wide and grabbed an entire cupcake. He tossed his head straight up like a snake with its' prey and promptly began making awful choking noises. Morgan rolled his eyes.
"Are you ok-are you seriously doing this right now Roger?" Hiroyo demanded, looking up from her frantic packing of pastries to glare at the Kunemon. There was a muffled sound that sounded a lot like an attempt at cackling before Roger tossed his head down and coughed the table back on to the table, luckily away from its' untouched brethren. Morgan scowled and pushed off the table, hovering close to the surface as he began gathering up the trash.
"That is the worst-no you are the worst." Hiroyo complained as she quickly snagged the cupcakes Tink had requested and packed them safely away from Roger's greedy jaws. There were only a few cupcakes left so packing was quick and efficient. She stacked up the boxes then picked them up and gave Tink an apologetic look. "He's a greedy idiot sometimes, you ready to go? I can give you a ride again!"

"My wings glow when they feel like it," Tink says brusquely. "It isn't important. My wings aren't the volleyball game." The little fairy is much more concerned about hurrying than glowing wings or coughing up whole cupcakes. "Ew. Gross. I'll be disgusted by it later let's go go go!"
The cupcakes are boxed. The boxes are gathered. The fairy lands on Hiroyo's head. Everything seems all ready to go. "Are we going to make it?" Tink taps on Hiroyo with her feet and one hand. "We're not going to miss it are we? Will they notice me cheering? I'm too small and not wearing a cheerleader outfit! Did you get my cupcakes?"
On and on the questions went. Tink's wings practically perform morse code, flashing and vibrating. The rest of her vibrates as well, bouncing up and down nervously. The sooner they get to the volleyball game, the better - for everyone.

One fairy settled on hat like the best decoration? Check. Roger clinging to her shoulder and back like the world's weirdest scarf? Check. Cupcakes secured? Check. Mess taken care of? Check! Her mental checklist done, and a quick nod from Morgan when she glanced at him, Hiroyo ran. T here was a joy to running, to any physical activity that the young woman did really. The feeling of exerting herself and achieving results through her own sweat and prowess was exhilarating. Especially when the stakes were high! At least not missing the volleyball match counted as high stakes for the short term.
The woman didn't want to disappoint her new fairy-friend! Not by dropping the cupcakes nor by arriving late. She darted through crowds that were sparse at first then grew thicker and thicker as she made the way to the beach. Her steady pace began to slow as more and more digimon crowded the sidewalk until she was forced back down to a walk. The beach was in sight at least, or it would have been the view of the sand wasn't so cut off by the sheer number of 'mons on the beach.
As Hiroyo slowed to a walk on a small dune Roger perked up and twisted his head around, his antenna flicking with irritation. "It looks like half of Whitewater has turned out for this! How are we going to find Lilymon with this mob about?"
Hiroyo started to shake her head, remembered Tink was on her hat and stopped. "Sorry Tink." She called, her words separated by deep breaths. Her breathing was heavy but under control, it seemed the sprint through town hadn't winded her too badly. "I can't see over all these crowds. What about you? Can you see anything?"
"With those eyes I totally have?"
"Not you, obviously!"

Hiroyo's hat ornament clings on tight. Tink was used to flying, but this was so much different than her flight. She would complain, but they're all in a hurry, and somehow Hiroyo is keeping the fairy's cakes perfectly safe. They would be at the game in no time!
Meanwhile, back in some part of the town, Musclemon sniffs around like a bloodhound. "Cake," he muses. "Tink and cake go hand in hand like two hands and one is inside the other! I just need to follow this scent!" Sure enough, he tracks the scent... to the restaurant. He had managed to track it the wrong direction! Luckily, the scent had not gone cold. He turns around and starts following it the other way.
Back with Tink, Hiroyo, and the Bug Brothers, the group had managed to make it in time - only to meet a massive crowd. Nobody could see anything from there. "Hm... maybe I could fly up and get a better look," Tink offers. Before anyone has a chance to respond, she rockets up into the air, looking around. "No... no... hey, that must be - no that's just a fan with a Lilymon hat. Hm... ah, I think that might maybe be her maybe possibly?"
