Eito still did not have the basics down for being a Xros General, and his Trailmon wasn't much help. It was about time that they figured out just what they were doing. The relative peace of the rolling hills is a safe place for him to do that, although Tetsu isn't too happy about it. "Slow down, boss," the train exclaims, making glowing tracks ahead of himself to catch up to his 'boss'. "These hills are tricky for me without putting some effort into it."
Eito just sighs and rubs the bridge of his nose. "That's the point. Effort." Instead of slowing down, he picks up the pace. "Maybe you'll learn about it someday."
It isn't like Tetsu is lazy, far from it. However, he goes in bursts. Eito hopes to raise both of their baselines. Taking the time to go from zero to one hundred might not be fast enough, and could be a fatal flaw. Eito was already a bit tired from all the hiking, but he pushes on, wiping sweat off of his forehead with the back of his hand. It was safe here, after all. If they didn't have the endurance here - or work here to build it up - what about in a more dangerous area? "Hurry up."

Driving through the mainframe hills, Chie was in stiff silence as she wanted to clear her mind. Do was mostly in the passenger seat as he was too busy sticking his head out the window with his tongue in the air. Chie's eyes were on the way ahead, she noticed the hills started to get rough but it didn't phase her. She couldn't feel a single one as she passed them thanks to a hovering upgrade replacing physical wheels. Chie appreciated the smooth gliding, but she would enjoy feeling anything but the steering wheel and pedals.
Do had enough of satisfying his canine urge as he sat back down into the passenger seat, looking at Chie with a concerned glare as he looked into that lifeless stare on her face. He couldn't expect a decision such as the one she made to be completely happy at first. While she left behind an unhappy life, she at least knew where it led, now she has no idea. Do wanted to break the silence but given all that the girl had been through lately, what was there to say?
Do was about to say something but then he saw something out of the corner of his eye. "Chie! There's an off the rail Trailmon!" Chie instantly slammed the breaks, sending the digimon who forgot a seatbelt flying into the dashboard as Chie looked around for what Do was referring to. Chie noted the fallen Digimon "Sorry Do, but what?"
Do stuck a claw up in the direction of the Trailmon. Chie could see the upper half in the distance. Pulling the RV into reverse she backed up and turned to face the Trailmon before pulling the RV back into drive Do getting knocked back and forth between the seat and dashboard. Driving forward she approached the scene as it got clearer. Chie wondered if she could tow a Trailmon, but saw it was unnecessary as he produced his own tracks. As Do got up, groggily, he saw the same scene. He assumed that had to be a rare ability as last he checked, Trailmon were useless off a rail.
Slowing down, Chie rolled up to a slow place next to the human boy before rolling down her window. "You two okay out here? I don't think this is the best terrain for your-" Chie stuck her head out the window to get a frame of reference for the struggle of the Trailmon. "- partner, isn't that a Trailmon? Never heard of one of those as a human's partner." Chie slowly realized she was getting ahead of herself as she had forgotten to introduce herself as she figured better to park for a minute. "Oh, I'm Chie by the way, excuse my lack of manors, I've just been, distracted lately. Also this really isn't the best terrain to find a place to park."

There was something in the distance that Eito couldn't quite make out. "On your guard," he calls to his Trailmon Tetsu. He himself readies his D-ARC, preparing to scan in cards as needed. Tetsu stops moving for just a second, then gives a small burst of speed to catch up with his boss. "Why, what's up?" Eito simply points at the incoming object. When the object gets closer, however, he lowers his guard.
Eito was intrigued by the hovering vehicle. Was it a type of Digimon, like his Trailmon, or was there a Digimon inside of it, driving? Would such technology work in the Analog World, or was it only functioning due to the almost scifi nature of the Digital World?
Tetsu was less interested in the RV hovercraft. After all, they are trying to make Trailmon obsolete. He lets out a puff of steam in a "hmph." If he didn't already quit his job, he'd give a few terse words to the driver, but he no longer rides the rails for a vocation.
Soon the driver of the RV was revealed, shocking Eito. "Another human?" He shrugs and chuckles. "Is there some kind of human-Digimon cultural exchange program I don't know about?" Apparently she was worried about him. Better help her stow those fears away. "Yes, I'm fine. We're out here....getting exercise. I didn't know that Trailmon were very rare for partners, but then again, I didn't know there were so many humans even here."
Tetsu gives a trainish smile and nods. "Yeah, we're mostly transport workers. Don't usually have time to deal with individual humans, but you're different, boss! And your... transport is quite... I don't like it taking jobs away from hard-working Trailmon, but I must admit it is pretty neat."
It took long enough into the conversation for them to start making introductions, Eito muses. Nonetheless, he reaches toward the window to shake Chie's hand. "Eito. This is Tetsu."

Chie shook the hand of the kind boy but felt bad at the Trailmon's words about her vehicle. Looking to Trailmon she hoped her cause would ease him. She didn't want Trailmon to go out of business, but she needed a place of her own and this was the closest she could get "Sorry, I don't mean to take any business away from Trailmon, but this is more than just a transport, it's also my home."
Do, meanwhile hearing everything, used his tail to open the door and rolled out of the RV, landing on his side before rolling over to stand back up. Chie sighed as she shifted the RV into park, letting the RV hover in place. Glad to get out of the vehicle, he walked around groggily as he fixed his scarf. Looking at the Trailmon, he couldn't help but wonder what the biggest problem in exercise was. He couldn't help but chip in his experience as well.
"Yeah, Chie's right, they're rare and Trailmon take great pride in their work. But the other problem with Trailmon is they're not the best combatant off the rail."
Do couldn't help but feel the urge to train as he looked to Chie, wide eyed and begging. "Chie you magnificent goddess, is it okay if we stay and train with them?" Chie sighed as she looked to Eito, figuring the lad wouldn't mind the company and an actual digimon could be more of a help then him. She realized she had nothing better to do anyways. "Is it okay if we join you? Do tends to forget the obvious, and he needs a good exercise anyways."

"Heheh, a house you can move. What will they think of next?" Tetsu acts as if he wasn't ever upset about it. "The name's Tetsu, though Eito already said that. Nice to meet you!"
Tetsu glances back at Do, listening to his 'advice'. "Hey! I'm not that bad a fighter off the rail!" He glances away from Do. "We're hard workers, yes, but that part is uncalled for!"
Eito pats the metal side of his Digimon. "Don't let the truth hurt. That's one of the reasons we're training." Tetsu just grunts, not bothering to confirm nor correct. "Maybe you're a fast learner though."
Do and Chie's offers to help are first met by hesitation by Eito and pouting by the train. However, Eito soon shrugs with a small smile. "Actually," he admits, "that would be helpful. I am not the most experienced when it comes to situations relating to the Digital World and Digimon." Tetsu also accepts, as it is hard for him to stay mad. "If you didn't mean that as an insult, I'd love to have the company!

Chie couldn't think of why she shouldn't let Do spar with a train he just potentially pissed off, but couldn't be bothered to think of a reason. Do on the other hand was desperate for some good old fashion training. However he himself didn't want to offend the Trailmon with what he said so he decided to clear the air. "Sorry, meant no disrespect. Just that you gotta be straining your energy and focus with building your own rail or something equivalent to keep you moving, right? That kinda strain is enough to make a lot of fights a pain."
Chie looked to Eito briefly, "There's a relatively flat mound over there, I'm going to park so these two can muck about. Feel free to join me." before pulling the RV into drive as she drove it forward, it hovered smoothly. Hovering over the last mound, Chie made a circular lap to end with the left side facing the digimon. She figured at the very least she can get out of the driver seat for now. Shifting into park, she soon unbuckled her seat belt and lifted her arm rest before slowly standing up, still crouching a bit as she walked into the back part of it. Being a fairly recent purchase, the internal aspects were fairly clean.
Chie stood up as she walked through the RV, first off she unlocked the side door, pressed a button at the side of the counter next to the door before making her way to the end where she closed the curtain on the main bed. After the button was pushed, the left side of the main area was pushed open as more space formed. Since only one person was expected it was a tad much, but Chie figured better to have more space than less. Sitting down on one side of the table, she finally felt a moment of relief as she did not need to constantly worry about the road, or her digimon for the moment.
Meanwhile Do mentally prepared himself as he stood directly in front of Tetsu, leaving plenty of room in between as the purple fox was ready for whatever was to come. "Whenever your ready Tetsu!"

Did Tetsu just say "choo choo?" No, he said "True, true." His method of locomotion was inefficient for combat, wasting energy and concentration. "You got me there, pal. I mean, I can travel without using the rails, just kinda slow and on flat, even terrain. If I want to go on any incline, or at any speed but a Shellmon's pace, I gotta make tracks to make tracks! Leaves me a sitting duck in battle..."
Eito was inclined to agree, though Tetsu's overuse of expressions causes a quick sigh. Before he could comment on it, Chie gives him something else to comment about that he is more agreeable with. "I could go for some flat ground, thank you. Lead the way, Miss Chie."
The two groups become one as they head down to the flat mount Chie mentioned. Soon Tetsu stand face to face - or as much as what a train can be considered 'standing - on the battlefield. "So uh," Tetsu nervously asks, "How are we going to do this? Timed sparring match? Some sort of rules set? I'm a bit rusty when it comes to this sort of thing. I may not be a child, but when it comes to training or fighting, I'm a real rookie."

Hearing Tetsu admit his faults, Do felt like he should level the playing field. Looking at the RV, he realized Chie planned on sticking around for a while. Couldn't blame her but he needed something of her. "One second Tetsu, let me even the playing field. Chie, I need you!" Hearing the call of the digimon, she sighed as she got up and walked down the steps to leave the hovering home. Falling a slight gap, she barely recovered her balance but luckily the RV as hiding that shame. She gently closed the door as she walked around to the front where she could see the two prepared to spar.
Folding her arms, she looked at Do with an annoyed glance. "What do you need now?" Do looked ready to beg again to try and appease Chie's good side, she wasn't in the most generous of moods as of late. However the tapping of her fingers on her left elbow suggested he get right to the point. "I need a digimental."
Chie reached under her blouse by her left shoulder as she pulled out a small and thin chain slowly until the black bodied and silver trimmed Digivice Burst hanging from it came out from underneath and with a motion of her thumb, she undid the chain allowing her to move her digivice freely. Chie pressed the center button and was about to press the left or right in succession when she asked the question. "Which one? Honor or Shakujou? Do already knew what he had in mind as he responded almost immediately. "Shakujou, the power gap might be large but I need the practice. Also Fladramon would burn the land."
Chie nodded as she pressed the button on the right before holding out her digivice so the air port faced Do while her left hand slammed down on the top button of the digivice. The screen lit up as it showed a sketch and data of a Shakujou before coding shot out of the air port until it formed a Shakujou, Do caught it with his right claw.
Chie's digivice and the Shakujou lit up. Do's form became emerged in a purple light. His form started to grow and extend, but his tail shrunk back into his body, and his face appeared to float off his body. His body shifted to something taller, humanoid, and feminine. Soon enough the figure flashed back into light and in Do's place was a Shinto maiden wearing a purple fox mask. Stretching out her arms, she recalled the earlier request of Tetsu. Looking at him dead in the eye through her mask. "There, now we're both in forms we need to get used to. Now as for rules, max time is two minutes, but if neither can move it ends."
Gesturing with her left hand, Chie ran back to the RV out of the way. Do recalled that and stated one last thing. "Anyone that harms a human, or by extension a large sum of their property, is disqualified. Agreed?"
Miku Do returned her gaze to Eito, looking down on the now smaller human. "Do you wish to Digivolve your partner?"

Eito hears Chie and Do talk about evening the playing field with a Digimental. "Digi...what?" While he doesn't like to admit his ignorance, this was literally a whole new world for him. He knew nobody expected him to be an expert on it. "Explain... please."
Tetsu was able to fill in some of the blanks. "A Digimental," he explains, "is an artifact of power, letting certain Digimon transform. I dunno the specifics, but I don't think a Xros General's army can use them."
A small smirk breaks up the boy's face when Do mentions burning the land. "Yes... that would be problematic. I will also refrain from using fire. As a wise man once said, 'graawr fire bad'." He turns his head and mumbles, "not that it was in the book."
Do transforms using the Digimental, causing quite the reaction from Eito.
Widened eyes and dilated pupils? Check. Mouth slightly agape? Check. Flushed cheeks? Check. Staring? Definitely.
It is official. Miku do's beauty was more than a little distracting to Eito.
Tetsu was also staring, but for a much different reason. "This fight... isn't going to last the whole two minutes, is it? Could you...uh... please go a bit easy on me? Don't want this to be like the Koromon fight in- er... forget I said anything, just reminiscing about a long time ago."
Miku Do says something about Digivolving, but he was too dazed to understand. She was looking right at him! "Uh... Digi...huh?" he manages to say, still staring and blushing at her. He then shakes his head and slaps his cheek weakly. "Tch. Tetsu can't Digivolve, but we can use cards. Would that be fair?"
"Eh... it still wouldn't be enough, but it would make this much less of a caboose kicking." "Is the difference really that big?" "It is wider than your jaw's open while staring at her, boss!"

Miku Do paid close attention to the reaction of the boy. She was amused by the human's reaction to the former fox dinosaur's transformation. She could tell immediately he was going to watch her so he could tell his partner whenever she was out of the Trailmon's sight. She figured best he should as she can be a pain to track even without the disadvantage of not being about to turn immediately. As the boy was still dazed, Chie rolled her eyes at his reaction before returning to the RV, muttering "Boys will be boys."
Miku Do looked at the boy and noticed his D-Arc, figuring that's how she mistook the Xros general for a tamer. She nodded at his request to use cards. "Please, feel free to use cards. I had no idea you were an Xros general, I only see Tetsu and the D-Arc is all purpose."
Looking forward, she pointed her Shakujou towards Trailmon as she readied herself for combat. "While the power gap is large, I am predominantly trained for beastly forms, my training does not account for God man type, let alone a Miku mode. The first move is yours."
Miku Do plotted her moves while Chie sat down at the RV's table, her head on her folded arms as she decided to get a brief moment of peace before the inevitable racket.

Tetsu attempts a smile when Miku Do allows him to use cards. "That's kind of you! You're still gonna wreck me, even with my card advantage and your movement disadvantage, but at least this training will still actually BE training, now!"
Eito couldn't believe it. A train versus a beautiful woman, and the human-like Digimon not only has the advantage, but is enough to make the train accept defeat before the battle even starts? "Don't think like that Tetsu. We could still win."
"Yeah, sure boss. We could." Tetsu humors his boss. "So what's the plan?"
"Well first, let's get a bit of a boost." He rummages through his backpack and pulls out a deck of cards. He sifts through them. "No... no... too high level to use... that's fire... ah!" He pulls out a card and scans it through his D-Arc. Immediately the changes were noticeable. Tetsu's 'mouth' opens, revealing razor-sharp teeth. Sharp claw-like spikes now line the side of the Trailmon, meaning even if one were to jump out of the way of the moving train, they could still get cut.
However, this does not appear to be his opening move. "Spear," Eito says loudly enough to be heard by Tetsu, but not loud enough to be considered yelling. In response, the two lower 'horns' on the front of the Trailmon launch at the Miku with a loud popping sound. These were not rocket propelled, they were not explosive, just two big slow spikes. ================================== Card Scanned: (1/3)

As Eito and Tetsu prepared with a card, Miku Do waved her Shakujou backwards as she created a trail of mist, forming a rectangular shape. Her gentle voice projected calmly "Moonlight Katana" It's form narrowed and shaped into the shape of a katana. Starting from the base of the hilt, it slowly turned into Chrome Digizoid as some of the mist turned into a red tsuka ito. Placing the Shakujou in her belt, she gripped the katana in her right hand as it finished forming.
She held her blade steady as she awaited Tetsu to strike. Noting his lower horns, she grabbed the katana with both hands. She knew full well her primary strength lies with spiritual abilities, but the Moonlight Katana is made of the strongest known metal in the digital world. Not to mention that even though as other digimon her level go for physical, there was a difference in physical power between her and the Trailmon's. Playing on that she raised her sword to above her shoulder as she timed herself.
In a quick motion as the horns came at her, she struck the incoming horn on the left with barely enough force to cut halfway into it, intentionally holding back until she could use it to knock the other horn off it's trajectory and away from her. The impact shattered the first horn as it fell to just barely at her feet. Her voice calmly projected again. "Not bad. Not bad at all. Strong offense."
Miku Do started to run out of the Trailmon's line of sight as she attempted to face his left side, Keeping her distance from him as he does so. She assumed her enemies will exploit this, so she should nudge it a little. However she managed to hide it, but she was adjusting to the prospect of moving without a tail. She adjusted her body as she slid her feet and rotated, facing the side of the digimon.
Abilities used:
Moonlight Katana: Creates a katana of Chrome Digizoid. Once per thread.

How could an almost-human Digimon hope to fight a train? Eito doesn't understand, until Do summons a katana. "Oh." He's seen enough samurai media to know that's how. While those were just works of fiction, he knows fiction thrives in the Digital World.
Nonetheless, Eito allows Tetsu to go forward with the attack. The horns go flying - and are summarily executed. "Hey," Tetsu groans, "I need those!" He then laughs. "Nah, just kidding, they'll grow back in a bit."
"We don't have a bit," Eito reminds the Trailmon. They were in the middle of a fight! They had to keep their eyes on Miko Do. Eito didn't have too much of a problem there. "Your nine! Hm." He pulls out another card, sliding it through the D-ARC's slot. A spike on each side extend, now on red orbs. The orbs also extend, now on tiny blue stalks. "SPIN!"
The train does so. A sudden 360 degree spin was quite impressive for a digimon this size. However, despite the power of momentum, despite the heavy weight of a train, these were Digimon rules. This attack might be completely destructive in the real world, but here it was only a Rookie attack.
There was also another problem. After he stops spinning, Tetsu's eye rattles a little. "WoAaOoHh..." he groans. At least his horns now spout back. ==============================================================================================

Miku Do should've guessed it, another card in play as the Trailmon prepared his move. She guessed her form was no longer the head strong type and avoiding large attacks would be best as long as possible, even from lower levels. As he started rotating at high speeds. Miku Do flipped her grip so her katana was facing downward before she stepped backwards as it appeared she was stepping through the world, leaving a mist as she phased through the world.
She reappeared walking through reality as she appeared in top of Tetsu, specifically near his face as while she was halfway through, before the world could take full effect on her, she stabbed her blade into the top horn of Tetsu, right on top of the arc. As she fully phased through, she kneeled down and tightened her grip, riding out the storm of the ability. However she saw a unique opportunity to show the true downfall of the cards. As the spinning was slowing down, she loosened her grip for a moment and let the forces of nature throw her off a bit before she tightened her grip when she was facing the train's front.
As the train came to a stop, she let the forces applied to the situation assist her as she swung in for a kick, with her right foot landing right in the Trailmon's eye. Her voice now carried a disappointed tone as she projected her voice for Eito, albeit not looking away from Tetsu. "Great combination, but a hasty waste of cards. Not to mention opens opportunities for limber enemies capable of teleportation."
Meanwhile Chie looked out the window to see Miku Do's last strike, and couldn't help but feel bad for the cyclops train. She guessed he was already dizzy but getting a foot to the eye could not be pleasant.

There was no way that Do could dodge this huge attack, right? Right? Wrong. "Where the?" Eito asks as the Miko vanishes, before groaning in realization. He did not factor in teleportation into his fight plans. He quickly searches for her, though does not have to try very long before finding her.
Tetsu did not need Eito's help locating her, however, as she appears right in his face. He withstands a pointy object going through his horn, though darn does that hurt! "Getting kicked in the eye does not help matters either. The sudden pain in the eye causes Tetsu to lash out without a command from Eito, belching out a cloud of scalding hot steam from his mouth. "GRAAAHHHHH! G-good hit!"
"Dang it Tetsu," Eito growls, "I didn't say to do that!" He looks through his deck of cards, before being lectured on hasty usage. "Hm. You may be right." He holds off to see what the next move would be. ================================================================ The spikes and fangs from the Jaws and Claws card vanish
