Post by Haru Toriya and Tawna on Jun 7, 2018 5:14:38 GMT
There were many possibilities to Tawna's fate in the ravine, so many that one can't blame Crusadermon for assuming that the feline Digimon actually kicked the bucket just now. For the Digimon that emerged slowly out if the ravine, cocooned in a veil of light... they could see why they would assume that. Of countless futures, that was one of the most common fates that had been in store for Tawna... some were mutual killings from both parties, or even involved Haru being a casualty as well. They saw every one of these possibilities in a matter of seconds, which made this current timeline all the more peculiar to them... the only futures similar to this one stemmed from the current timeline. This timeline appeared to be a freak incident... a cosmic blip in reality. Not that she minded of course. After all, with so many horrid futures potentially waiting to happen, she was willing to trim off some of these potential branches of time for the better of all. The cocoon of light burst with explosive force to reveal a tall, humanoid angel Digimon decked out in gold-Digizoid and standing twice as tall as any regular human. In ways, part of their body resembled Raguelmon in regards to their lower half sharing the same bestial traits, but everything above the waist line was identifiably gaudy. Accessorized with a beautiful ornate coat that hugged at their curvaceous form and wearing an ornate mask styled after a cat over their human-like face; the angelic Digimon did not appear quite as fit for battle as her counterpart form... yet their presence surged with terrifying power far beyond what Tawna in their Raguelmon form wielded. The Rasielmon seemed mildly dazed at first, even giving the gold metallic wings they had an experimental flap while their tail seemed to flick about in excitement... though the moment she laid her eyes on Crusadermon sparked a change in their posture... readying for battle. With alarming speed (far more than even Raguelmon), the angelic Digimon quickly began to close the distance between her and Crusadermon, aiming to give no quarter for the Crusadermon to rest and retaliate. With terrifying speed and dexterity, the Biomerge's eyes glew a bright tinge of gold that matched her form... followed suit by what almost seemed like the space around Crusadermon bending way to reveal slivers of what could only be described as the fabric of space itself materialized before closing in onto Crusadermon, aiming to completely sever the bladed sashes and ribbons of the knightly Digimon entirely in the blink of an eye. Perhaps most curious to both Crusadermon and even Eva, a voice seemed to ring through their heads as briefly to their own perspectives, time slowed to a crawl... It's voice calm and serene, yet also stern. I... I am Rasielmon, the angel of secrets. Many unknowns exist in this world, setting us on paths that we may not know we are even a part of until it is too late. Only now do I understand my own path, even if it unfortunately involves fighting you. Where we all fall into this world's grand schemes, even I am not sure... but I know that as a fact I cannot let you win here, Crusadermon.

Eva silently trailed the Crusadermon, carefully keeping out of that gun's arc as she tried to line up her approach. She could taste her own blood in her mouth, in fact, a trickle of it was already escaping from it and despite its constant attempt to ping warnings in front of her sight, Eva could not make out the messages her HUD and emergency medical systems were trying to transmit. She did know one thing though, if she lost consciousness in this state, her cybernetics would put her into hibernation so to speak to preserve her higher functions, something she would not be able to wake up from without medical attention.
The golden glow didn't even seem to provide a distraction to the Crusadermon, logical, she thought. The digimon knew that Eva had cloaked, and was seemingly completely aware that she was planning an ambush of some description as it swept its gun barrel back and forth, backing up to a cliff edge. She stopped and thought for a second. She could likely knock the creature off the side if she were to attack now, although, that would bring forth the risk of going down to the jagged rocks below along with that abomination.
Good god. What was it with the digital world, long cheesy speeches, and things not making a lick of sense? It mattered not, this was the distraction the cyborg needed as she leapt for Crusadermon, keeping out of the arc of its cannon with her blades deployed. She felt a sickening snap in her right leg as the muscle fibre bundle finally gave way, the high tensioned polymer bursting out through her carbon fibre shin. The cloak fizzled away into nothing, thin wisps of electrical smoke trailing her as she attempted to impale her blades right through a damaged and vulnerable section of Crusadermon's head.
Eva has torn muscles in her right leg leaping to use the nanoblades on a vulnerable area, leaving her unable to walk unsupported. Her cybernetics are struggling to keep her alive and will put her into a medically induced coma in three posts.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are!~"
In her crazed, tense state, Crusadermon couldn't help but chuckle, the full sadistic nature of the Knight on full display as she kept her focus forward. Though Eva would track the Knight's movements, she was now unassailable from the back. Rather than wasting time with random fire, it seemed like she was waiting for something.
That something, though, was definitely not that beautiful angel rising from the valley! It was definitely enough to draw the Crusadermon's attention, neck craning up at that sight of lustrous gold figure, precious gems rivaling the luster of her own pink armor left on full display. More than anything, the Knight seemed astonished...
... And at that sudden blitz of speed, her eyes would widen under the visor! The Knight even gasped at the sight of that, well, honestly indescribable attack, a flinch of her leg sparing the sashes on the left side of her armor. Heedless of this biomerge's warning, the Knight stood, stunned, as that remaining sash circled around her front side.
Soon enough, though, she let out a chuckle. "Oh, its just you, Goggles! Oh, I love what you've done with the look - but you should lose the cat ears - hm?"
Oh, yes, Eva! Actually, the Knight hadn't managed to look in Eva's direction in time - not that she expected to see her at all. Figuring the opponent entirely invisible, the Knight had let out a rather crude trap: extending her bladed sashes out as an intermediary 'sensor' between herself and the fox. As soon as Eva breached that perimeter, near-automatically, a portal generated by Cosmic Journey would open:
One directly between Crusadermon and Eva.
And one right off the edge of the cliff. Should Eva be stuck in a straight line, she'd be propelled right over the edge of the cliff, by her own momentum! Log:
Crusadermon uses 'Cosmic Journey' as a counter to Eva's attack - though at this point, she's unaware of exactly what came into contact with Eva's sash. Due to the intense focus against an invisible opponent, an attack was not used in tandem with this ability.

The way Rasielmon's four cat ears twitched as Crusadermon spoke to the Biomerge suggested a mixture of confusion and irritation. For a murderous knight, they sure had a way of taking assaults from a revitialized opponent lightly. Frankly, both halves of the angel Digimon had to at least acknowledge that they certainly had admirable positivity, even as a foe. "... Odd to say to someone whose best friend you almost killed. I'd almost consider that a compliment if you weren't trying to finish the job." the angelic Digimon somewhat snidely commented, adopting a baffled expression on their face before concentrating once more on the situation. She didn't even have to go delving into the future to figure that Eva was in extremely rough shape right now... frankly, they both were. She herself was running on practically Haru's life force and deus ex machina-tier amounts of Digisoul, she realizing that the moment she left this form... they were done for if they didn't defeat Crusadermon.
This thot is insane, Haru... Don't be afraid to go all out... I know, I know! But she's hu- Haru. ... I understand, Tawna.
Rasielmon pushed her inner thoughts to the back of her head, returning her attention back to Crusadermon. "I don't know why you are so desperate to catch that Witchmon, but I get nothing but bad vibes from what you'll do if you catch her." the ophanim softly spoke, though soon backed up as what appeared to be a card materializing in front of her and fading away quickly.
If the weather in the area wasn't harsh enough with the blizzard, the skies darkening heavily as lightning began to rapidly course through the sky... The blizzard turned into the nightmare scenario of a blizzard plus thunderstorm, and not a weak one either. Practically every couple seconds, bolts lightning seemed to jolt across the sky (potentially darting into those most conductive). Among those conductive individuals, Rasielmon herself was struck by a blast of lightning... at least at a first glance. In actuality, the angelic Digimon's left arm had been raised as magic runic circles materialized above her clawed gauntlets... the massive energy from the bolt of lightning condensed and gathered alongside a rainbow of other elements materialized from thin air.
"Knowledge Stream!" Rasielmon yelled as she briefly waved her hands to motion the intense energy gathered from the circles... before being fired in a sweeping motion at Crusadermon's direction in the form of a massive wave motion gun-esque beam nearly twice her own size, amped up heavily from the electrical charge prior.
Rasielmon has effectively scanned Terabyte Thunderstorm, using the intense power of a lightning bolt to overcharge her Knowledge Stream, directed at Crusadermon.

The digimon had less than a second to react, her hand gripping onto the sash as the portal aperture opened in front of her. The portals kept the momentum of anyone heading in, she remembered that much. She also remembered that those sashes had some form of animate element, capable of immobilising an attacker such as herself. Eva was hoping, no, counting on the Crusadermon being more distracted by fighting whatever just came down from the valley below.
"Knowledge Stream!"
The cyborg saw the gigantic beam of ice blue light, surging, crackling, as lighting started to come down from above all around the mountainside. This was still not making even the slightest bit of sense, but, she could at least figure out a couple of things. Firstly that the Crusadermon would surely be at least knocked off balance by this, likely moving the sash away from the portal, and secondly, even if it was working properly her shield system would have next to no chance of deflecting that sort of firepower.
She waited, timing it in her head until the very moment the beam faded to pull herself through the portal with her blades extended. She was once again, trying to finish this fight, this time hoping that she would come through at the correct angle to slash the Crusadermon's throat as well as get back onto solid ground, then again, the former part of that plan might not even have been all that necessary if that beam was as powerful as it looked.

"Hm? You don't know?" With that metal fox temporarily predisposed through the portal - it was pretty easy to tell, with the harsh grip against her remaining sash - the Crusadermon couldn't help but give a chuckle: "Then why get involved at all? Heck, you could help me! I'd even give you a cut, Goggles!"
Alas, that last-second alliance was not meant to be: just a mere moment later, the sky was crackling with a rather terrifying storm - one that seemed just as dangerous for Eva as it did for Crusadermon - as the newly formed Rasielmon gathered energy for what looked like a large spell. How pointless! All the Crusadermon needed to do was make her way for the valley: at such a low altitude, it was practically guaranteed that the lightning would strike at higher ground, and the Super Mega likely wouldn't be able to risk catching Witchmon in the crossfire!
It would have been a decent plan, if not for the metal fox tugging at her sash! As that powerful beam descended, Crusadermon kicked off her footing, pulling herself out of range, while unintentionally dragging Eva along for the ride. That fox pulled herself close, their combined movement causing the blade to sink into the center of her collarbone, rather than directly at her neck.
"!!" The damage, however, was clearly severe. Forcing a tight fist towards Eva's midsection to try and force her off, the spirit wielder would stagger backwards, form starting to spur into static as she reached for that wound, effectively, in the center of her chest.
Haru's brief hesitation was proven in the moment - bundled for the cold, once the static faded, a woman stood in Crusadermon's position. Her black hair, long and unkempt, rested halfway across her back - aside from that, her current position didn't betray any of her appearance. However, in her human state, she lacked the severe wounds that Crusadermon had felt...
... Though she wasn't about to back down. "Tch... gonna regret this shit tomorrow..."
It wasn't a wise thing for Spirit Wielders to do, but at this point, she was running out of options. Once more, the energy blazed from her D-Tector, Crusadermon's form once more taking place - but in this appearance, her neck and arm had been restored to usable form. In general, it was a huge waste of her own energy to 'heal' in this manner (Heck, there hadn't even been enough for her shield to recompose), but it was enough to at least breathe again.
Left on level ground with the Expermon, the Crusadermon once more raised her blaster...
Log: The Spirit User has been critically damaged, and forced out of her Crusadermon form! Pushed back against the wall, the Spirit Wielder re-formats herself back into Crusadermon's form, 'averaging' the damage across her frame, while taking a huge hit in overall stamina. At this point, she's forced to use 'Crusader Blast' on the closest potential target for data!

As the storm raged on, the angelic Digimon sneered slightly as she witnessed Crusadermon evade the Knowledge Stream. Rasielmon's direct approach while had gave Crusadermon plenty of time to react accordingly (the massive beam of destruction wiping out the top of a nearby mountain off in the distance cleanly), it did however open up a brutal counter from Eva with a blade nearly slicing through their neck. Good thing too as well... there were plenty of futures where that proved fatal.
That was one interesting thing about Rasielmon internally... Every second, the angelic Digimon was able to catch glimpses of what could only be describable as threads of the timeline, showing her many of the countless possibilities of next couple moments at any time. Given, there was an air of unpredictability to them... but it was not exactly fun witnessing any of them dying in a number of ways. Even now, she had no intention to allow for even Crusadermon to die... but she wasn't willing to risk either herself or the cyborg fox's lives either.
Morally, she was between a rock and hard place.
Hang in there foxy... Haru's voice rung through Rasielmon's head, she letting out a bit of a frustrated sound as the spirit wielder forced their form back on. They ALL were running on fumes here, Rasielmon aware enough now that she couldn't allow this fight to continue any longer. "I don't want to fight anymore... So STOP."
The moment she saw the Crusadermon try to raise their weapon, she realized another attack on Eva could prove fatal if not stopped. Rasielmon dashed down to the ground as she raised her left hand... the air distorting into a mess of corrupted data and curiously light energy, she bringing her hand down at the air in front of her while high above Crusadermon. "Area Eater!"
This perhaps seemed like a pointless endeavor making what was clearly meant to a melee attack several dozen feet away from her foe, but if everything Rasielmon had carefully calculated regarding the angle she initiated the attack proved true... Crusadermon would find themselves strongly yanked off the ground (ruining their aim) as they are brought DIRECTLY in front of the ophanim Digimon... Rasielmon giving the Spirit Wielder a strong kick in the back to hopefully be sent hurtling back down to the ground. She could have opted to utilize Area Eater a second time onto Crusadermon directly, but she feared that doing so might end up rupturing them completely. She just needed to get the Spirit Wielder knocked out... and well, even if she wasn't build like a behemoth like Raguelmon, Rasielmon's overall higher power level plus the sharp nails on her bestial legs probably would still hurt like hell.
Rasielmon has used their Aspect of the Ophanim to mimic Raguelmon's Area Eater, using it to pluck Crusadermon off the ground to disrupt their aim at Eva, following with a kick in the back down to the ground.
Aspect of the Ophanim [RAM UPGRADE] - An individual with an alter ego, this Digimon is capable of briefly calling upon the abilities of either it's Rasielmon and Raguelmon forms. When using this ability, this Digimon copies a single active ability from these two forms that turn (though cannot copy once per thread attacks), putting that ability also on cooldown. (Cooldown: 2 + Copied Ability cooldown) Super Mega Exclusive
Area Eater - A highly-dangerous technique, Raguelmon's swipes at the foe or air with her left hand, it distorting and devouring space itself. A physical blow from this attack deals catastrophic damage as it shreds through practically anything in its path as it deletes those objects from existence. Even should it not hit anything, it will erase the space between Raguelmon and and behind a target foe or object, bringing EVERYTHING between those two points directly to her (other characters, objects, attacks I.E). A swipe at the air allows for Raguelmon to immediately attempt one more blow with the attack at whatever is brought close to her. (Cooldown: 3 Turns)

The blow from the fist didn't seem to do all that much to Eva apart from momentarily stun and knock her back. Despite her severe injuries she quickly regained her composure as several small compartments on her arms and legs opened, the air crackling around them as she slowed her descent. She stumbled backwards upon landing, falling onto her backside half into a thick snow drift, her leg remaining unresponsive.
She cried out in pain, her HUD fizzling, turning red, her sight nearly blocked by blood red exclamation marks popping up, flicking away and duplicating before fizzling into nothing, her view now completely free of malfunctioning displays that normally were a great asset providing all sorts of tactical information. She was going on feeling alone, her arm slow to respond as she raised it and tried to power up the stormshield again, desperately attempting to deflect whatever shots the Crusadermon could throw at her, but, it wasn't responding properly. It was slow to activate, she could feel it, the tingling in her arm as the system shorted, trying to draw power through her improvised patchjob yet only getting a trickle through to the actual capacitors.
Moves used, Archangel landing system. Eva used this to slow her fall, yet wasn't able to land on her feet due to previous damage. Knocked onto her behind, she raised and readied the Stormshield EM Barrier but it was not responding fast enough.

That's it, just like that - stay still, foxy.
Oh, this was just perfect! There Eva was, functionally inoperable and practically unable to move. All it would take was a few blasts from her cannon to take out this fox, assimilate her data, and fight on a more refreshed level with the remaining threat - but, alas, that 'remaining threat' wasn't just going to let it be!
Feeling a literal vacuum form in the space between herself and Rasielmon, Crusadermon was quickly shunted upwards, her blasts sailing embarrassingly wide of the metallic Digimon. In frustration, the Knight turned to face the angelic Digimon, barely able to even comprehend the danger she was in. No, it was more like her hand moved automatically: even during that pull, that cannon found its way pointed forward, aimed right towards the Biomerge's chest, at her center of mass.
"Why you - FALL!" The prior playfulness in her voice had vanished entirely, sheer fatigue and desperation betrayed on her words. Perhaps her blasts would find her way through, slamming heavily into Rasielmon's sternum. But even if they did, should the Super Mega endure, that sharp kick would land right on her shoulder...
... And send Crusadermon slamming right down to earth. She landed right on her front side, rock cracking underneath as it started to give way, the staticky data once more appearing around her frame. The pink knight's frame vanished once more, revealing that bundled-up spirit wielder once more, a data ring - her fractal code - buzzing around her back.
A few seconds would pass... but the Knight was down for the count.

If there was one advantage Rasielmon had, it was speed and godly-reaction times. While her quick motion perhaps at least helped mitigate some of the potential damage Crusadermon could have inflicted on Eva, it left her on the receiving end of a few last shots from the Crusadermon even as her attack collided at their form. No time to evade... All Rasielmon could do was endure the shots with a guard using her large gauntlets to protect her more fragile form, small flakes of the gold chrome-digizoid on them flaking off. While painful of course, the damage was minute compared to what it could have been. The angel gritted her teeth as steam emitted by the heat from the impact, the storm still raging... but fortunately, it seemed that the metaphoric storm was over.
The battle may have been won, but even as Rasielmon gently floated down to the ground with the injured Eva and Spirit Wielder, she couldn't help but feel a sharp (albeit brief) pain by her side that caused her to flinch, even bearing her teeth. She was mostly fine, but she realized now this form was not going to be sustainable if they kept going like this. The moment they left this form though, they would likely be left in a weakened condition, but there was likely more to come. Just a shame they had to go this far to get that girl to stop.
Take that data, Haru. She stole some of mine, and well... she is in no state to use those Spirits of hers right now anyways. It will help us keep afloat just a little longer too. Tawna internally suggested, having noticed the Spirit Wielder's condition. It was a bit on the spiteful side, but that Spirit Wielder was playing for keeps... They knew the risks at hand while doing so.
... Fine, long as she'll be unhurt. She's in extrenely rough condition. Haru internally responded, they commandeering Rasielmon as the angelic Digimon held out a hand forward. Taking care to not do so at at pace that could be harmful to either of them, the Biomerge magnetically drew a chunk of the fractal code to her as she incorporated it into her own body, feeling a deal bit better... a slight hint of ectasy from Tawna's half of puppeting Rasielmon, but pushed away by Haru.
With that through, the next thing to come to mind for the Biomerge was tending to the wounded. Scooping up the injured Spirit Wielder, the angelic Digimon rushed over to Eva, a look of concern on their face. "... Damn, she did a number on you, didn't they? Just as much to half of me, enough to almost kill them." the ophanim spoke, with her free arm offering a hand to the fox. "... Can you stand? I... We know a doctor who could help you. Its not much, but its something." they offered, already having the plan of home portalling away the Spirit Wielder to the library. Frankly, they needed medical assistance too... but she had questions that still needed answered.
With that threat gone... All that was left was to find the threat's initial query, the Witchmon Tawna had spotted earlier. "Witchmon! Are you still here?" she called out, wonder if the demon woman was still here or if they had fled. Considering how intense the fight became, she wouldn't have blamed them.
All she could wonder was how Amelie, Alice and Carlos were faring... This lil' expedition to the Northern Prominence has seemed to have gone awry if they all had been expecting a somewhat relaxing venture. Nearly dying tended to make it difficult to relax.

Fortunately, Haru and Tawna's pull of the spirit wielder's data wasn't enough to cause significant damage - though honestly it was hard to tell, with the girl bundled up and simply out cold. After they scooped the spirit wielder up, with several seconds of 'inaction' against the fractal code, the data ring would simply vanish, once more safely held within the Spirit Wielder's code.
That much was simple enough. With the sounds of battle here finally dying down, the most impressive sight being that of the benevolent Rasielmon - Witchmon finally found it safe to show herself. As Rasielmon called out, the Witch emerged from her cover, sitting on the side of her broom, brushing a fair amount of rock dust and ice from her figure. "Well, somehow. Sorry I couldn't do too much, but its not like I'm well-suited to take any of those shots." Her gaze flicked over to the weakened Eva, and the Witch, extending an arm out, opened a portal of her own. This one led right out to Terminus.
"The fox'll be fine in your care, but I recommend passing that Crusadermon-user down the line. No worries, this leads to a main road. I'll just feel safer if that girl's not in either of our hair."
Regardless, the Witch would look to her palm - to that yellow stone, familiar with the four who had taken up this task - and look off towards the mountain.
"... I really hate to force this on you. But do you think you could hold out a bit longer?" Witchmon gave a sigh: "If they were willing to bring a Crusadermon out for this, I fear what might have happened to the rest of my group."
[Exit! The stone has been kept safe. Difficulty for Phase 2 remains unchanged.]

Rasielmon was able to breathe a slight bit easier seeing the Champion level come out of cover. Here she had thought they may have became collateral damage from the fight, but fortunately no. "No... we don't blame you... You did the right thing staying out of the way. It took two Megas... well, one Mega and a Super Mega to get her to stop." they gently assured her, glancing down at the unconscious Spirit Wielder in her hands. "I'm mostly relieved no one died. I... I saw a few futures with casualties through this form, but they were only possibilities. Its just a shame that violence was the only way to end this conflict."
While she had originally planned to drop the Spirit Wielder off at club base (purely due to it being the only option beyond leaving them here, where they'd most certainly die from hypothermia), the alternative opened by Witchmon was certainly more preferable and less risky. She trusted the doctor to be able to handle them in case they got rowdy, but there were after all individuals at the library who were not as combat-capable... Rasielmon did not hesitate shifting the unconscious Spirit Wielder through the portal.
Good riddance personally... Damn bitch basically killed me. Tawna briefly internally spoke within the Biomerge, Haru returning it with a groan of her own.
While their form was somewhat on the unstable side, they running primarily on Haru's own energy... they were put into a moral dilemma regarding Witchmon's own safety. It was unusual that a Mega level was sent out after a Champion level, and it seemed that Crusadermon had been the one to split them from their group... What was so willing to meddle in their affairs? Clearly whatever force was willing to cause this conflict was willing to use lethal force... The ophanim Digimon cursed under their tongue, damning their future-seering ability's inability to see any further than a few moments. Too many questions that have yet to been answered. In the end, they couldn't abandon the demon woman. "Damn... we'll help though. We have friends around the Northern Prominence as well... Perhaps they met some of your group as well?" Rasielmon spoke, giving the Witchmon a nod. If need be, they'd try to assist Eva through the portal as well... The road forward was looking too harsh for them in their current state.
The question was, could they say the same for themselves?
