After having the less than savory encounter with the two humans one could basically (except himself) call "parents", Scyrus had managed to escape the useless chit chatter and ignorant ideologies...And yet it was that very same set of words they had chosen that instilled doubt in his heart that had long since felt emotions. This was so bizarre for him, feeling frustration, feeling warm and fuzzy at being pet....And being told his solitary way of life was incorrect.
It was all he ever knew. It was all he ever acknowledged since his very first spawn. To become the strongest. That desire that has never wavered and never changed...until now that he felt incredibly lost, much more so than he used to when his memories were lost and his data corrupted...But no...in the end humans were still humans. He wouldn't let the words of such fake and weak beings shake him.
He needed nobody. He would fight for himself only and defeat all those who stand in his way......This would surely seem much more dramatic if he didn't find himself lost in these hills...he felt like he had ran and walked for hours...and yet most he could see was rolling hills and behind him the forest he left from...

Birdie was determined. She couldn't fall, not now. She had to keep going, far away from the Eastern Timberlands, away from the Spartan Training Grounds. It would've been better if she could have made it back to Old Terminus, but that would be impossible now. She had already sustained a decent amount of damage fighting that pesky Chibikamemon who proved to be surprisingly fierce in battle, but it was the arrow from Dinohumon's quiver that really stung. Her left wing bled in a stream of pixels, causing her immense pain and wrecking her flight pattern, but her willpower was strong and she continued onward, even through the agony. She managed to cover a considerable distance before a sudden wave of dizziness overcame her and she started plummeting to the ground. She blinked away the faint feeling, suddenly overwhelmed with adreneline, and flapped her wings in an attempt to stay airborne, but it was no use.
In an instant, Birdie's pink and downy body slammed into the rolling hills, kicking up virtual dirt and grass as she skidded and flipped a few times. With eyes shut tight, Birdie winced and felt her wings bend in all sorts of uncomfortable positions as she tumbled violently for a few feet. When she finally stopped moving, the Biyomon found herself lying on top of her left wing which had been bent backwards, numb now in result to all the damage it had sustained. With a loud groan of pain and a huff of frustration, she rolled onto her stomach and let her wings splay out to either side of her body. She turned her head to the side and stared at her injured wing as data continued seeping skyward through the wound. Yeah, it hurt like a bitch, but it would have been much worse if the arrow had pierced her body as Dinohumon had intended.
Laying there, waiting for the wound on her wing to heal and waiting until her entire body no longer ached, she was forced to finally stop and think, for the first time in a long time. The first thing that entered her mind was her tamer, the seven year old who had such high hopes for them as partners. The kid was a fool, though. Birdie had been told that having a human partner would strengthen her and would allow her to digivolve at a faster rate than all solo Digimon, but that was a massive lie. Humans were a waste of space, a ball-and-chain, slavers to the free Digimon. Just thinking of her tamer made Birdie fume, and she grumbled her irritations before changing the focus of her attention to something more immediate: her surroundings. It was then that she suddenly noticed the stranger Digimon nearby.

For the first time in what one could consider forever, Scyrus had this strange feeling in his gut and throat. What was this? Anger? No, he was sure that anger was no longer what he was feeling, and yet, despite what he told himself he still felt...Doubtful. He grimaced. He needed something to take his mind off those words that wouldn't seem to leave his mind...He looked up at the sky, idly as if his answer was up there, sort of like how he used to be.
Was that right? He couldn't quite remember...What he was certain about was...there was a flying Digimon in the air that seemed to be releasing data. A display? Was that a thing Digimon did now? Make drawings in the sky?
No...He opened his eye and squinted, waiting for a few moments for it to focus on his target, looking more like he was glaring at the descending Digimon...It was falling towards him. He quickly dashed out of the way, almost frowning as he could only imagine how painful that landing was. He sure didn't mind being a Digimon without wings...The vicitim had rolled down the knoll he stood on, stumbling and rolling on the ground until it reached an abrupt end at the bottom...Out of sheer curiosity he simply approached it, his own large paws dragging behind him on the floor. He felt somewhat uncomfortable...this new form was still something he had to get used to. Before he had short arms, now huge ones. Make up your mind, data.
He reached the bottom, not really rushing, more like walking and taking his time. He wasn't someone who cared much for others, but this feeling he felt inside him...it was curiosity. Right? Hell if he knows.
He stood before what he identified as a Biyomon. Maybe. He couldn't remember well. He simply stood there, looking down at her. How pitiful. He could tell...this one wasn't too strong. It probably bit off more than it could chew...It sort of made him feel nostalgic. Wasn't he like this before? Maybe. It wouldn't be that farfetched. He felt...a strange sense of pity. Was it? He wasn't sure...He simply continued staring down at her silently, not sure what to do as his...soul wished to do something about this, and his head simply didn't feel like it. He had no reason to and yet...
On the outside, he just sort of looked like he was spacing out despite his gaze on her.

The rabbit creature was just standing there, staring. That was probably what frustrated Birdie the most. It wasn't like she wanted or needed help, but just being stared at made her feel... weak, vulnerable. This punk was watching her bleed out and was probably gauging her strength by what they was seeing: a Biyomon laying on the ground, data pouring from her wing, unmoving because her entire body hurt. "What're you staring at, punk?" she snarled, her eyes narrowing into angry slits as she challenged the stranger to try something. Man, she hated rabbits. This one didn't look like a Cutemon, but they had enough similar features for there to be a bitter taste in her mouth.
Slowly, biting back the agony all the while, Birdie pushed herself up. She managed to stand, take a few steps toward the stranger, and splay out her wings to either side of her body. Although her left one continued seeping data, the large purple patterns on the inside of her wings looked like glaring eyes, threatening the rabbit by means of intimidation. "Piss off! Get gone!" she cawed, her feathers fluffing in anger, her beak looking particularly sharp, and her eyes staring daggers at the other Digimon. In that moment, she was suddenly hit with another wave of dizziness, and she was forced to sit or else collapse. The wound on her wing was healing slowly, but that didn't make the pain go away. She rose her right wing to her face and rested her red claws on her forehead, obviously trying to keep her head from spinning. This wasn't good.
When she finally opened her eyes again, peering through her talons as she did, Birdie noticed the rabbit still standing there. Unbelievable. This guy just wouldn't take a hint. "Quit just standing there like a Numemon in the sun. Go make yourself useful and find some berries or fruit or someting," she grumbled while lowering her hand and turning her attention back to her injured wing. Fortunately for Digimon, food items were good for energy and energy was good for regeneration. Unfortuantely for Birdie, however, she was in no state to go looking for some. At times like these, she wished she still had that pesky kid with her, just so she could order the human to do her bidding instead.

He finally seemed to snap out of it, in the end as the Biyomon had tried to raise it's wings despite just how hurt it was. What was it trying to do? Intimidate him with those eyes? Scyrus has seen worse in his life time, he simply squinted his eyes, almost in disbelief, did she really think she was in any state to be behaving like this?
And yet Scyrus found that amusing in a....strangely good way. She wasn't giving, even if it did seem quite idiotic of her. She had a fighting spirit Scyrus couldn't quite overlook. Were he in this situation, he would have probably been somewhat like it. Well, except the whining. His eyes still were gazing as it fell back down, unable to keep its wings spread from the damage it had received. Even still, despite how amused he was previously, this sort of behaviour wasn't one he would tolerate.
"Do you really believe you are in any state to be talking to me like that?" He spoke, his tone cold as usual, looking down at her as he took one step forward.
"I could slice your head off right this moment if I really wanted to, so hold your tongue." He added, pointing at her with his large paw, the one with the strange mark along the arm as his gaze looked like he was talking to someone inferior, someone weak. He moved his hand back and turned around.
"But I pity you, so I suppose I will help. Your fighting spirit is somewhat admirable despite looking like this. You will live to fight another day." He spoke bluntly, looking around, looking for anything that could resemble a bush of berries...or anything...and at the same time, he wondered why he was going out of his way to help? It really seemed to be the nostalgic feeling that was taking over him right now.

This guy was really starting to piss her off. Who did he think he was anyway? If she was at full strength, Birdie wouldn't have hesitated to pick a fight with this guy, just to wipe that smug look off his face. Then again, she could sense his strength. The way he spoke and carried himself was similar to those who were confident that they could win in a fight. There was no doubt about it: he was able to digivolve, and Birdie couldn't. Even if she wasn't injured, what was the likelihood that she'd be able to win in a scuffle against this guy? Not very... and that made her even more angry. She bit back her growing rage as the rabbit questioned her and proceeded to taunt her, boasting about how strong her was in comparison. "Yeah, laugh it up, asshole," Birdie wanted to hiss, but she was able to keep a level head enough to keep her mouth shut.
Instead, she managed a smile, a crooked and ugly smile that revealed just how forced and fake it was. She wasn't about to pretend to be nice just because this guy decided to get off on her poor predicament. Not going to happen. Fortunately for her, the stranger chose to take pity on her--his words, not hers--and proceeded to compliment her fighting spirit. Had she been in regular Digimon, she may have blushed and smiled at the off-handed comment, but Birdie wasn't just any regular Digimon, she was angry and vengeful.
She felt as though his words were empty and his comment about living to fight another day was demeaning. To her, his words translated to, "You poor, sad, and pitiful creature. You try so hard to be strong, but your best isn't good enough. However, I will take care of you, seeing how you can't do so for yourself." This was not what he had said, of course, but that's how it sounded to the frail and defenseless Biyomon. It reminded her of when she was Puwamon, frequently bullied and attacked for her small size and passive behavior.
And so, it should have come as no surprise when she pushed herself into the standing position again, groaning a little as she did, and promptly started walking in the opposite direction of the stranger. Had he been a little nicer, she probably would have stayed until he brought her some food, but given the fact that it felt like he was rubbing his strength in her face, she wasn't just going to sit around and wait for him to return, just to hear him boast some more about himself. She didn't need that. She didn't need him. She could take care of herself... or so she thought.

Scyrus simply kept staring at the downed bird Digimon, who seemed to be feeling very frustrated with him, and despite her (albeit poor) attempt at giving him a smile, it was clear to him she held a lot of hostility within her, all directed towards him. Maybe it was the frustration of having ended in this sorry state that she wanted to vent out? Who knew? Certainly not him.
He was certainly not even aware that his words sounded much more twisted in her head than what he actually said. He was never one to sugar coat things, not even if they were brutally honest. He was amazed she started to walk away on her own. He simply followed her with his normal pace. Not like she could walk that fast when she looked like she could collapse any second. How stubborn. He really felt like this was deja vu.
"What are you doing? You need to rest. Sit down. Now." He spoke to her, strangely enough still not quite sure why he kept following her. She wasn't someone he knew, she wasn't someone nice enough to deserve his care, or his bad attempt at caring, but for some reason, he just couldn't leave her alone. He felt like she could be something more stronger. Potential, was it? Either way, his stoic expression seemed to turn to a slight frown as she stubbornly kept walking.
"I will get you the food you need to regenerate. Or do you want to die so badly?" He asked honestly. He couldn't think of any other reason other than her being a sore loser. Or maybe this was just a bad attempt at a slow and painful self deletion?
"You do yourself no favor walking away like this. You will die and your efforts in attaining strength until now will go for naught. Recover and become stronger." He lectured, his voice still not sounding any different from his normal stoic demeanor.

Why were rabbit Digimon always the ones to get on her nerves? It was as though she had a giant sign on her back that said, "If you have long ears, a twitchy nose, and a cotton tail, please come and pester me." The truth was that this particular Digimon hadn't really done anything wrong. Sure, he didn't seem to have a filter and couldn't really read the room, but he had done nothing inherently wrong. He had approached the Biyomon, offered to help, and cautioned her against doing anything rash, especially given her currently state. But Birdie was angry. She was one of those Digimon who was filled with rage, looking for any excuse to lash out because she was convinced everyone was out to get her and she was alone in the world. Perhaps this stranger's blunt and brutal honesty was exactly the kind of thing she needed to turn her life around.
And so, sick of feeling helpless and weak to this Digimon, Birdie got up and started off on her own. Of course, it didn't take long for the stranger to notice and follow after her. Couldn't this guy just take the hint and leave her alone? When he spoke, his voice was akin to nails on a chalkboard. Obnoxious. Annoying. Undesirable. It was the tone with which he said "Sit down. Now." that really rubbed Birdie the wrong way, though. It sounded like he was ordering her to do something. No one told her what to do. No one. "As if you know what's best for me," she snarled, half under her breath, as she continued walking. The stranger Digimon was on thin ice with her, and any other comments like that would result in her flying off, even if her wing wasn't fully healed yet. She'd rather take her chances.
It was only when his voice got low and he conceeded by saying, "I will get you the food you need to regenerate," that she slowed to a stop and looked back at him. It almost sounded like he cared for her, but why? No one ever cared for her. Okay, there was one person. A human. A little girl. Weak, pathetic, a ball-and-chain. She had cared for the Biyomon, and she had stuck by her digital partner through thick and thin, even trying to defend Birdie against Dinohumon. The memory of Unica made Birdie's stiff demeanor fall away. Her defenses virtually disappeared and her eyes softened. The pink and purple bird had so thoroughly convinced herself that she didn't need anyone's help, especially not a human's, but something about the little girl warmed the Biyomon's insides and made her feel vulnerable somehow. She didn't like the feeling.
When the stranger followed up his comment with a snide remark about Birdie wanting to die, she turned back around and kept walking, flapping her wings weakly as she tested their limits, half wondering how far we'd be able to get. Upon seeing the Biyomon continue walking away, the rabbit commented that she was throwing her life away--and with sure certainty too! Yeah, right. He was doubting her strength again. She had been alone almost all her life. She'd be able to manage up until now, especially without the help from some degrading Digimon. Just then, he said something else that caused her to stop and turn: "You will die and your efforts in attaining strength until now will go for naught. Recover and become stronger."
The two stood there for a long moment in silence, exchanging glances. Birdie's feathers were ruffled in agitation, but there was something in her eyes... Curiousity? Intrigue? Promise? Carefully, she scanned the stranger for any telltale signs of betrayal or lies, but he seemed to be telling the true. He hoped she would get stronger, and he was willing to help in her quest. But if that was true, why had he insulted her previously? Suddenly it made sense. He had been pushing her, encouraging her to get stronger. She may have appeared weak, but he could see potential in her. Finally! Someone got it! Someone understood her! But why did it have to be this jerk?
"Okay, fine. I'll bite," she said, "What can you do for me? And none of this 'I'm so great and I can teach you how to be great too' bullshit. Give it to me straight." Although the truth may have been exactly what she described, she didn't want to hear him say it like that. She wanted him to say that he knew of place they could go to get stronger, or that he'd watch her back while she continued seeking power. The idea of them engaging in a mentor-student type of relationship disgusted Birdie and she hated the idea of needing a teacher. She'd get strong on her own, but perhaps it would be nice to have someone with her who knew where they could go to hone their skills or would otherwise act as some kind of servant, however unlikely that was.

Scyrus really needed to learn how to talk to others, as he felt as if his words weren't doing much to calm the restless soul within her. He wondered why. He had been telling her truths and honest suggestions. Why was talking to others so bothersome? He wasn't about to change though. Scyrus didn't find it to be a good enough reason to change. He was just this sort of Digimon.
"As if you know what's best for me" She replied, to which Scyrus, not quite following it to be a rhetorical question, answered.
"Maybe I don't, but it's a fact that resting is needed when injured." He replied absent mindedly, shrugging as his piercing gaze didn't leave her. Evem still it looked liked she was troubled...and then bothered by his words once again, to the point of attempting to fly away. What sort of idiotic idea was that? Scyrus squinted his eyes in disbelief. What was she thinking? But after speaking once more, it seemed like his words got to her and she finally realized what he had been trying to say. He could tell she had a strong fighting spirit after all. He truly did believe she could be stronger...and quite frankly a part of him wondered what she would be like at her best. In battle that is.
Scyrus did look at her slightly confusedly with the whole "greatness" thing. It was a weird example of something she didn't want to hear.
"First thing. Food and recovery." He told her with a nod. It seemed she was finally willing to listen and heed his words.
"All I can give you is the knowledge of past battles. And sparring. Pointers. The likes. I do believe in your spirit, I suppose. I am no teacher, it mostly would be you learning from practice." He told her, not quite sure about whether he was saying this right or not. Either way, he said what he meant.
"Every victory and defeat is a stepping stone to reaching true power and strength. At least, I believe so." He shrugged and started to walk past her. He found apiece of shrubbery with berries on it as well as meat berries. After taking some he swiftly returned with light noiseless steps and offered them to the injured Digimon, his expression as stoic as ever, his eyes almost looking closed.
He found it amusing. This whole...helping others. Why did he even do this in the first place? Pity, sure, but it was still...odd. He didn't know how to feel about this, but might as well carry through with it until the end.

(I kind of feel bad for Scyrus. He's trying so hard!) "First thing. Food and recovery," the stranger Digimon replied in response to Birdie's question about what he could do for her. When he nodded, she did too. That was an obvious answer. She did need to recover and, to do that, she needed the energy provided by food. It wasn't new information, but it was a good start, at least. Even still, Birdie wanted a more specific answer. How could she get stronger and, more importantly, how could he help her achieve her goal? What could he offer her that she couldn't get for herself?
"Fine. And then?" Birdie asked, impatience in her tone as she spoke. The stranger abided by saying that he could share his past with her in hopes that she could learn something from his mistakes; he went on to explain that he could give her pointers in sparring and could help her practice. Hearing this, Birdie felt a mix of emotions. The tension lingered and Birdie desperately tried to find any reason not to trust the Digimon standing in front of her. Although he was offering to help in the best way he could, was he somehow implying that his life experience was better than her's? That was a stretch, and Birdie knew it. The stranger Digimon had said all the right things, and it would have been difficult for her to deny his help.
The entire mood of the conversation had shifted at some point, and Birdie's aggressive demeanor had dominated their relationship. The rabbit was still as matter-of-fact as he had been previously, but at some point, he ended up talking about himself--what he could and could not offer, what he did and didn't know, and the motto he lived by--instead of questioning Birdie and how she chose to live her life. It made his comments feel less personal and judgmental, and it allowed the wayward Biyomon to stop and listen to what he actually had to say. She couldn't exactly question what the Digimon was telling her, and for some reason, she didn't want to.
It was then that the rabbit nonchalantly strolled passed her, to a nearby bush which had plump berries of varying size and coloration. As he plucked some of the fruit from their stems, Birdie couldn't help but watch him, awe-inspired. He looked so at peace. It was hard not to start relaxing too. Slowly, Birdie lowered herself to the ground and nestled into place, her talons buried beneath the feathers on her belly and her wings folded against her sides in a restful manner. Although Birdie never looked away from the stranger, still not sure she could trust him completely, she appeared tranquil and cute, in a way, with her wide blue eyes and her downy feathers fluffed up around her. To anyone who was fortunate enough to avoid Birdie's wrath, they may have foolishly believed that she was a kind soul who would never hurt anyone.
When the rabbit turned around, Birdie didn't move. She waited for him to return before readjusting her position and grabbing the handful of fruit with her red talons. After accepting the stranger's offering, she put the berries on the ground in front of her and began eating them one by one, ocassionaly glancing at her injury to see if it was healing any faster. Most of the time, however, she kept her eyes on the other Digimon. "I'm Birdie, by the way," she said after a long moment of silence. Although her name was a little silly and was quite childish, she stated it with pride. It had become her identity ever since she met Unica, and the name felt right somehow, like it was her real name but it had been long forgotten before the little girl said it aloud. Birdie didn't even think twice about it now. Slowly, she took a bite out of another berry, eyes still locked on the stranger as she half expected him to offer his name too.

Scyrus had somewhat taken note of the previous impatience in her voice, however did not comment, nor act differently upon it as it had little impact on him. He figured this was just the way the Digimon was and behaved and spoke. He wouldn't discriminate her. Everyone has their own personal paths in life. That he believed in and would respect, whether or not he liked it would not change that. For the most part at least.
After returning with the berries now delivered to the little bird, he simply sat down before her, his feet spread out as he leaned back on his large paws which looked big enough to support the entirety of his body if he wanted to lean far back enough. His eyes remained closed as he simply listened to and enjoyed the sound of serene silence in this environment. Then she spoke, mentioning her name. An introduction, he assumed. How nice of her. He simply nodded as he stared back at her without a reply for a few moments before realizing she was probably waiting for his name.
"Ah. I am.." he spoke before furrowing his brows, pensively of course, trying to remember...That's right.
"Scyrus." He replied with a nod, one eye opened ever so slightly and revealed the glowing yellow iris and black sclera. His eye shifted to her injuries as he gazed them somewhat curiously. Scyrus wondered just what sort of battle did she had to go through. Well he could only hope she learn't from this loss. He returned to being quiet, simply allowing her time to eat and relax and he calmly looked at her with no real expression or intent for the time being.

Birdie noticed the stranger Digimon's hesitation in response to her expectant stare. It seemed like she had taken him off guard. He wasn't prepared to offer his name, and he paused for a moment in consideration, wondering whether or not to tell her the truth... No. That wasn't right. That's not the reason he grew silent and furrowed his brow in thought. There was something else to that. Had he forgotten his name? It seemed like he had. After a few seconds, a lightbulb went off in his head and he finally gave his name: Scyrus. Interesting, but not remarkable. She repeated the name a few times to herself while she followed his gaze to her wing. Although a look of curiosity and confusion lingered on his face, he didn't say anything about it, so Birdie didn't offer an answer to why she was wounded.
Instead, she continued eating in silence and returned her attention to the rabbit who was once again sitting back--head tilted, eyes closed--enjoying the weather and sunlight. More time passed, the sounds of nature filling spaces between them, but Birdie was more interested in why Scyrus had forgotten his name. Did he have a human partner and they were the ones who gave him his name, and he simply forgot because they were no longer with him? Or perhaps, alternatively, "Scyrus" was his birth name and a human partner gave him a new one, but he recently left his partner and was trying to reclaim his previous identity. Maybe there was no partner at all and Scyrus had memory loss, but then what had caused the memory loss? Had he lost data in a brutal battle? Did he hatch from his Digitama too early? What was it?
Birdie tore her eyes from Scyrus, telling herself that she wasn't interested in hearing his whole life story, and grabbed the last fruit before bringing it to her beak. She stopped suddenly, not taking a bite and, instead, glancing up again at the rabbit who remained unmoving. "Who are you?" she asked while lowering the fruit away from her face and twirling it absentmindedly between her talons. "What's your story?" she added, eyes locked onto her companion whose calmness was somewhat off-putting. After a few seconds, hardly giving Scyrus enough time to respond to her previous two questions, Birdie decided to elaborate on her confusion, "Why couldn't you remember your name?" With squinted eyes, it was apparent that she wasn't asking because she wanted to befriend him, but because she was cautious of what he wasn't telling her.

Scyrus glanced back at the silent Digimon as she ate her food, slowly healing herself as data replaced the damaged body parts, reforming and reconstructing ever so slightly. His eyes fixated on her healing wounds before noticing a sudden hesitation in her eating, and then that she had been looking at him this whole time. He wondered what would come from her mouth this time. And it was all questions, questions so quickly brought to him that he barely had time to think about what these meant, or how to even answer them in the first place.
Frustrating to say the least. He frowned slightly, seeing her distrustful eyes. It was somewhat annoying. Not like he himself felt different from how she felt. He never had an intention of making "friends".
"....." He didn't answer initially, half expecting her to follow up with even more questions, but as she finally gave him so answering space he sighed slightly in relief.
"Like I said. I am Scyrus. My story? If you are asking about life...Hmm..." He took some time to think once again, looking up, humming in a pensive manner, as if the answer would write itself up in the sky before he finally looked back at her.
"I have bad memory. I do know is that my... Life has always been very much revolved around fighting and becoming stronger. Surviving. Killing. Hunting. Dying and losing part of my data..." He took some time to think as his voice trailed off.
"I simply reconfigured myself to fill in the blanks. And because of that I was reborn." He answered, giving a nod as if to confirm what he had been thinking about was definite and conclusive. He always seemed to remember things he actively tries to remember, but unless he focuses on it he won't remember. He didn't look like he was telling a lie at all. He wasn't going to hide anything.
"Anything else?"

The additional hesitation and eventual abrasive tone in Scyrus' voice irritated Birdie, but she said nothing about it. It was clear he wasn't comfortable enough around her to share his whole story, and Birdie couldn't exactly fault him on that. She was the same way. There were things she would keep to herself because they were her memories and she wasn't obligated to tell anyone else about them. Although she understood where Scyrus was coming from, or she thought she did, something about the fact that he wasn't telling her everything made her leery, but a weird gut feeling wasn't enough for Birdie to drop everything and leave the rabbit to his own devices.
He wasn't lying to her when he said that his life was full of fighting and killing, and that eventually caused him to lose his memory. It was a vague excuse, but it seemed to be the truth nevertheless. Birdie got the impression that he wasn't the type to offer up personal information without first being asked; and, even if he didn't feel comfortable answering, he still would have given her a truthful response to whatever questions she threw his way. He had some unexplained fundamental desire to help her, which was a reason in and of itself to be cautious around him, but still... At this point, she was desperately trying to find reasons not to team up with Scyrus, but he was proving himself to be a valuable asset. She had to get over herself and admit that she could use his help. That pill was hard to swallow, though.
And so, when he asked if she had any other questions, she cocked an eyebrow and stared at her companion for a long moment before her facial features relaxed and she shook her head. "No, I think that's all for now," she said before looking back down at the food in her hands. Her expression was nondescript. She didn't look particularly angry or smug--which were the two most frequent emotions she wore. Instead, she appeared to be lost in thought. Zoning out while she twirled the last meat berry between her claws. Could she really let this stranger in? It's not like she was looking for friends, but to accept him as an ally, even a temporary one, meant that she would have to trust him not to betray her. After all, she was now a convinct and was on the run, but it seemed Scyrus may have been in the same situation as her. They were both killers and it made sense for the two to team up, right?

"Very well. When you are done, we can spar. Wherever is fine." He told her as he slowly leaned back more on his arms as he sat. He looked at her eyeing her own food, seeming pensive with her blank expression. Somehow he got dejavu from seeing that. He wondered why? Anyways he simply continued gazing at her, waiting for he to finish her food up and respond. Thankfully with it she would be able to feel more energized and leave the rest of the data to heal on it's own. She wasn't looking as in pain as she was before....actually now that he thought about it he never did ask her what exactly happened to her.
Despite at first not being as interested, the fact she asked him about his life somewhat made him want to try and ask the same back. So he does so.
"And you? Your story? Life?" He asked semi curiously, funnily enough his expression and voice remaining the same, it was almost comical just how monotone and direct he was at times. He slowly leaned back forward, resting his paws in front of him between his feet in a cute manner. If only he wasn't so edgy and cut throat when it came to calling him or treating him like a cute bunny.
So far Scyrus still continued taking a strange amount of initiative which by now he stopped questioning, mainly because it slipped his mind already that he was asking himself that question in the first place. He didn't see Birdy as anything of an obstacle, he did have a feeling that there could be more he learns from sparring with someone than what he could on his own....He wondered..Could that be what they meant by having company is good?
