*please note, this character is from the previous version of DFRP.
Name: Everett Blackwood
Alias: Rett
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Height: 6’2
Weight: 188 lbs
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Birth Date: June 4th
Birth Place: Tokyo, Japan.
Western Horoscope: Taurus
Eastern Zodiac: Ram
Skills/Talents
* Savvy Debater; knows what to say to try and prove anyone wrong.
* Rhetoric; uses complex and confusing wording to twist the truth.
* Smooth Liar; can make any lie seem true with no qualms.
* Corrupt Whistleblower; uses his profound knowledge of the law to threaten people through legal recourse.
Personality: Arrogance seems to be this lawyer’s main feature, seeing how he always boasts about his accomplishments and thinks of himself as superior. He is very well educated and clings on to his achievements, giving him material to brag about and often reeling in compliments to stroke his ego. He isn’t afraid to be rude to others, and often lacks common courtesy. His manners are sub-par, and while he may present himself as a professional in the court room, he is quite the jerk on a personal basis. He will often interrupt others’ sentences, do his best to prove people wrong, and generally try to one-up anyone who is presenting his or her own facts and/or opinions. He’ll do anything to beat down other peoples’ egos and boost his own.
Everett has no issue lying, and has in fact won countless cases by playing out lies as if they were the truth, mastering the skill after having used it in his career so many times. He will also do anything to get his way, and will happily find a loophole in the law to threaten and scare off anyone who bothers him. He carries around a Japanese book of law and plenty of blank legal forms, proving to any skeptic that he is not joking around, and that he has every right to sue them for whatever he is accusing them of. He will often times begin filling out forms in front of his target, forcing them to crack and succumb to his demands for fear of legitimately going to court. This is not only a tactic he uses to get his way, but is also something he does when he feels the need to have his ego and sense of superiority stroked.
However, at the end of the day when he comes home to his Shibuya penthouse, he is alone. Everett is incredibly insecure, and tends to try and brush it off with whiskey or two before bed. He is very lonely and longs for change, longs for something exciting to do with his life. Ever since the move back from the UK, his life has been in shambles, and everything has been going wrong. He misses his family, but doesn’t want them to see what sort of person he’s become. He misses his brother above all, but with no trace of him, he’s given up hope to search. Upset, alone, weak and insecure, Everett bottles himself up, ignores his issues, and just keeps going day by day.
Appearance
Everett is tall bodied and has an average mass, the contours of his muscles just barely visible through his skin. He is not particularly athletic, but does have rather broad shoulders. He sports short brown hair which is always gelled up to be spikey. He often wears small sunglasses which hang off of the bridge of his nose, exposing blue-green eyes. He always wears suit-and-tie combo, a navy Gucci blazer and matching pants to go with that. Accenting his fancy outfit is a sleek purple tie, pressed neatly against his sky blue dress shirt; though alternatives include a black, white, or cop blue dress shirt coupled with a sport gold or royal blue tie. A silver briefcase is always carried around by this fellow, and some classy black leather shoes to complete the look.
But he is not always dressed to impress. When feeling more casual he’ll remove the blazer, loosen the tie, and even remove his sunglasses just to kick back and be more comfortable. His look varies, from rolling up his sleeves to removing his tie entirely, or sometimes wearing just a casual grey t-shirt. He has been described as handsome before, but isn’t much of a womanizer, so he doesn’t care to hone his looks any more than dressing for court.
Personal History: Everett was born in Tokyo, Japan, and went to a downtown public school for his earlier years. He was always an average student, passing with less-than-perfect grades and not caring much about his education, as any kid did. His family was middle class and consisted of his mother, father and grandfather who had moved in with them from the UK. The boy loved that his whole family lived together, for someone was always playing with him and paying attention to him. They taught him new things and often spoke English to him to encourage Everett’s interest in other languages. Little did they know that their efforts would work, and that boy was fascinated with the language and culture.
But when Everett turned 10, his brother was born, and suddenly he was no longer noticed. Upon Asar Blackwood’s arrival, Everett was bumped down to being just another care taker, and all his requests to play and to spend time with his family were ignored. Now there was a baby who needed attention, and this little screaming being was the entire household’s priority.
Rett began to feel isolated, and as the years passed, started taking out his frustration on others as well as his brother. He became a bully at the age of 12, which proved to be problematic for his parents. On top of caring for the toddler and grounding the older brother for beating up the younger one, they now had angry parents and teachers calling and pestering them, yelling about the bruises their child received from that no-good Everett. A year later they became fed up with the headaches and hassle. They decided that it was time to take Everett out of that school and move to a different area.
The family moved to Shibuya and enrolled Rett into the local high school, forcing him to skip a grade in hopes that he would be too intimidated to bully the older kids. This was successful, but caused Everett to feel even more isolated; sure he had friends, but he felt that he did not belong, nor could he be himself around them. Those older kids had different views than him and different interests; the age difference was small but crucial. Yet he discovered his passion when they began to study world history and world civics, and from then on he decided he wanted to move out of Japan as soon as possible.
Upon his early graduation, his grandfather decided he wanted to move back to the UK. Everett was thrilled with the possibility of moving out of Japan and persuaded his grandfather to let him move in with him. After all he was 16 and he felt like he was ready to get away from his parents and his annoying little brother. When he arrived to the UK he saw a flyer for a prestigious law school, that they were fast-tracking their program and now accepting applicants. As a high school graduate, he immediately grabbed the opportunity to persuade a career in English Law. He was more than willing to become serious about his education.
Everett became one of the top students at the law school, grasping concepts and remembering statutes, history, and current law clearly. He graduated in 4 years, and was offered a job in one of London’s fiercest law firms within his first week of job hunting. What started as a minor litigator position was quickly escalated to the firm’s top prosecutorial position. It wasn’t long until Everett began making deals with crooked cops and corrupt politicians, and within the few years he spent at the law firm, he had become unstoppable, and was the talk of all firms. He was the big shot, the star rookie who thwarted all the veteran cutthroats, and he really had it all. Things couldn’t have been going any better.
He had become so successful that law firms from out of the UK got wind of him. A top firm in Tokyo had recently lost their sharpest prosecutor, and had heard of Everett’s Japanese roots. They sent him many job offers, as well as a free transitional course offer from English to Japanese law. Everett refused each time, not wanting to lose what he had in the UK. But every man has a price, and eventually the Japanese law firm offered him a salary that not even his current firm could match. Excited by the cash flow, he accepted the job and returned to Japan.
At this time his brother had just turned 13, and Everett decided to drop in and wish him a happy birthday. But what started as a friendly get together quickly turned into a blown-up argument. In light of this event, Everett did not tell his family that he got a job in Tokyo. Instead, he told his brother that he was still an annoying spoiled brat and that he never wanted to see him again. He left, furious, and that lingered in his mind and hindered his focus at the transitional school. He felt stressed and attempted to subdue the stress with a few too many whiskeys before bed. He would miss some of the classes, and generally did poorly with a lack of sleep and constant morning headaches. When he completed the courses, his scores were sub-par, and the company was not impressed. Nevertheless they gave him a few chances in court, but he failed and began to have losing streak. The Tokyo law firm was not hesitant to fire him immediately.
Frustrated, Everett wanted to return to the UK. But that was when he received news that his brother went missing. Feeling that it was his fault, he decided to stay in Japan in an attempt to find Asar. He used most of his savings on organizing private rescue crews and on paying the police to extend their efforts to find him. But after a year of no success, Everett accepted the fact that his brother was gone.
Having spent most of his funds, the man found a job at a very poorly rated law firm as a patent lawyer. His lost brother and his lost career constantly itched in his mind, and his boring job did not help whatsoever. Bottling up all his insecurities and failures, he distracts himself by acting like the arrogant big shot he once was, putting people down and assuming himself to be superior. At night he continues his on-the-rocks routine, having a few drinks before bed. At this point, he longs for something that will interrupt this pattern of robotic life. Paperwork, sleep, paperwork, sleep; that was all he had become.
DFRP History: Everett ended up quitting his job in a fit of rage after a disagreement with his boss. Rather than look for further employment, however, Everett encountered something very unusual; a digivice and digitama. The egg, of course, belonged to Graedon, who soon digivolved from a small squishy blob to a Bearmon; a real walkin' talkin' thug at that. They soon discovered the Digital World, and Everett decided he never wanted to return to the human world. Why bother returning to a life of paperwork and ignoramus clients when this entire new realm was at his fingertips?
Briefcase Contents:
* Water bottle
* Japanese book of law
* Various blank legal forms: subpoena form, restraining order form, custody form, etc.
* A red pen
* A black pen
* A cigar
* Flask of whiskey
Digivice
A white-bodied D3 with dark purple grips and black buttons. The small button is dark blue.
Partner’s Name: Graedon
Default Form: Rookie
Gender: Male
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Skills/Talents
*The Perfect Troll; knows exactly how to irritate others until they lose composure and act rash.
*Fuel to the Fire; can provoke an already-emotional being into a state of hysteria or rage.
*Opportunist; is well aware attuned to noticing people's pet peeves and bad habits, exploits those to provoke frustration.
*Arrogant Challenger; is never phased or intimidated by opponents, thinks he can beat everyone. sometimes a positive feature, other times negative.
Personality: Graedon can be described as a mischievous rascal, taking pleasure in tricking and annoying strangers. He will often say things that cross lines, and prides himself on being the king of “going too far”. He is an offensive and snarky daredevil, and is very difficult to intimidate. Many times when he is challenged to something, he’ll accept it no matter how impossible the task may seem. He often looks down upon others, regardless of their status or stature, and isn’t afraid to throw jeers at enemies to get them angry.
Whenever he sees someone who is distressed, upset, angry, or anxious, he goes directly to them and starts a conversation. However the conversations are most unpleasant for the one who is emotional, as Graedon will do his best to turn ones distress or anger into hysteria or rage. He loves to knock people into intense emotional states, for he can benefit from the fact that people in those kinds of mind states are unable to think straight and can be persuaded quite easily.
Greadon loves sarcasm, and uses it as often as possible. He’s perfected it to the point that it’s tough to tell whether or not he’s being serious. He isn’t beyond crossing his friends’ boundaries or jeering at them, and doesn’t acknowledge comfort zones. He has no sense of courtesy what so ever and doesn’t understand the concept of morals. He acts for his own benefit and entertainment, and while he will stand up for his companions at the time, has no qualms with going against them later on. He’s rather bad at keeping friends for longer periods of time. There are exceptions to this, but they are very few and they are rare.
History: Graedon is a reincarnation of a previous digimon. He does not remember his past life, though has deja-vus and flash backs often. In his previous life, he was the digimon of Asar Blackwood, and they had a wonderful time together in the Digital World. Asar and Bearmon spent two whole years together, exploring and camping and protecting each other, growing to form an incredible bond. As time passed they both grew stronger, physically and mentally. Asar matured as a person, learning much from his partner and their experiences together, whereas Bearmon gained strength, digivolving when he needed to protect his tamer from harm. With each stage he was impressed with his increase in power, and felt closer to his tamer with each evolution. From Grizzlymon to Monzeamon to Callismon, he felt unstoppable, and he was so proud and happy to be able to share that with Asar.
The day it all went wrong was so petty, so unnecessary and so stoppable. Nevertheless, tragedy struck the pair. They had run into an incredibly hostile Megidramon who insisted that he would be their killer, and were attacked. Callismon fought hard to protect Asar, and was doing quite well against the demonic serpent. But then the worst thing imaginable happened. Callismon loaded his guns, targeting Megidramon, and fired a powerful blast at him. But the Megidramon managed to whip his gun and redirect the shot directly at Asar, killing him instantly. In shock, Callismon froze, refusing to believe what had just happened. But Megidramon was thrilled; his plan worked perfectly! He began to absorb Asar’s data right there, thinking that Callismon would be too distracted by destroying his friend to notice.
Momentarily Callismon realized what the foe was doing, and deleted him before he had a chance to defend himself. The beast digimon was left there alone, having just killed his tamer, his partner, his only friend. Not sure what to do with himself, he set out to fight the strongest digimon he could find, blasting his sorrow at any weaker digimon on the way. He eventually found his match and was deleted, his last moments pumped full of regret and self-hate.
The intense dark emotions corrupted his data as he reincarnated into a digitama, altering his character and his evolutions. But what new twists this corruption will add are yet to be discovered.
DFRP History: Graedon went on to being assigned as Asar's older brother's partner after reincarnating as a digitama, albeit with no idea of the fact. Him and Everett met in Shibuya, and then went on to travel to the digital world. They've had many adventures, fights, and experiences on the road, and their bond grew as a pair. Everett even got Graedon a little hooked on his favorite Hawaiian import cigars, and Graedon thrived in the Digital World, gaining power each day. Soon after, Everett decided he never wanted to go back to the human world, and he and Graedon could continue their lives in the Digital World.

1 post cooldown.
[Shadow Bind]
Porcupamon summons a shadow of himself which dashes directly at the opponent. If the dark matter creature hits its target, it’s shape dissipates in order to bind the foe, and latches onto the foe’s body, creating a blanket of black energy. This will completely stun an opponent for the duration of 1 full post and has a 2 post cooldown .
[Madness Brooch] Ejects a barrage of countless razor-tipped spikes at bullet-like speeds and launches them at his target. These spikes are capable of piercing armor and barriers.
1 post cooldown.
[Build-A-Bear]
Porcupamon focuses his energy as he breathes deeply, repairing himself from the inside out. By doing so, he heals approximately 33%. This move has a 3 post cooldown.
[Thorn Wall]
The monstrous bruin wraps his arms around himself and crouches low, bracing himself as he allows for a wall of spikes to protrude from the front of his body, creating a dangerously sharp barrier to protect himself. Should a foe be attacking with a melee move, this attack could very well act as a vicious counter if they slam into the spikes.
This barrier only lasts for the post it is used in, however it is strong enough to veto damage from a champion or lower’s attack. Ultimate attacks still do 75%, while Mega and stronger do full damage despite the prickly wall. 1 post cooldown.
Forlorn Teddy: Emits streams of oozing liquid from under the stitching from his eyes, which upon dripping off his cheeks, perspire into a thick cloud of acidic fumes. The cloud is potent for 1 post and lingers for 1 more. Heart Breaker: Shoots a gooey heart-shaped bubble from the gap in his gut, it’s size having a 30ft radius. This bubble hovers a few meters in front of WaruMonzaemon acting as a rebounding barrier. This move causes the foe to be stunned for 1 post, has a 2 post cooldown.

Sin of Sloth: Overcome by a moment of laziness, the monstrous digimon simply stops caring. So much so that he stops feeling pain, damage, and doesn’t register the battle at hand. While this may sound like a disaster in a fight, it comes with a great advantage. During the moments of laziness, the demon king will not be affected by a received attack.
The moment of laziness is short-lived, and lasts a few minutes at most. This move has a 2 post cooldown.

The shield can last for 4 posts, and has a 3 post cool down.

Cooldown 1 post.
Demon Inferno: Summons a wall of hellfire which is 30ft tall and 50ft wide. This wall acts as a barrier, absorbing energy attacks, and cooks flesh on contact, making incredibly painful and foolish to try to punch or charge through. This barrier lasts for 4 posts and has a 4 post cool down. It can only be extinguished by a super-mega leveled water based attack.
Chaos Flare: Spews a blast of pure dark matter from his mouth which is double his size. This causes intense pain and will corrupt the foe's data, thus paralyzing them, for 1 posts. This move has a 2 post cool down.
