It certainly was smart to take advantage of the Elecmon's obliviousness at the moment, their greedy absorbtion of the power generator's electricity distracting them plenty... enough to completely avoid even catching Shoutmon already routing their position or to even hear their conversations. They were frankly blissfully unaware of even Veemon charging at them, at least until it was too late.
A direct hit! While seemingly successful as the powerful headbutt immediately knocked the red-furred mammal flying back, they tumbling painfully before coming to a stop. However, Veemon's attack didn't go without consequences... the blue reptile feeling a pretty painful shock as some of the electricity from Elecmon jolted to them... A pretty good indicator that melee attacks might be a bit risky here.
Elecmon seemed to for a moment falter, a mixture of dizziness and shock as they shook off the pain and managed to get back onto their feet... their attention drawn to Veemon as a feral growl came from the Elecmon, they aggressively glaring at the small dragon.
Rude, rude, rude... How dare their meal be interrupted like this? They had put so much work trying to stay hidden, and just as he found the biggest score yet in this dump world, he was getting ambushed! Well, as they always say... No pain, no gain.
As Elecmon growled aggressively at Veemon, their tail sprung up as electricity began to jump from each tip... condensing into sharp blades of electricity. "Lightning Knife!" they screeched, sending a barrage of the small projectiles at Veemon head-on.
Elecmon was hit by Vee Headbutt, but their Shock Shield lightly damages Veemon in retaliation. They are attacking Veemon with Lightning Knife.
[PASSIVE] - Shock Shield - Elecmon's body passively generates large amounts of electricity, making attacking them head-on a risky endeavor. Being damaged by physical attacks will earn the attacker a mild electric shock, dealing minor damage.
Lightning Knife - Elecmon sends out a barrage of electric knife projectiles to attack from a short distance away.

Shoutmon was just about to prepare a Rock and Roller attack before Veemon immediately went in for the Vee-Headbutt. Sure, only one half of them got a surprise hit in, but hey, it caught the Elecmon unaware! Score to the good guys!
Unfortunately, Adrian noticed that Veemon DID get electrocuted mildly after the headbutt made impact. "Shoutmon, don't use melee attacks, got it? Fight electricity with fire for this one."
"Got it, Adri," Shoutmon nodded in confirmation, a big smirk on his face.
Shoutmon noticed the way this rogue Elecmon was staring at Veemon. Boy, it did NOT look happy at all. Sure, that was to be expected, but it still surprised Shoutmon a bit. He acted as fast as he could when he saw the Lightning Knives going right after Veemon, jumping right in the way of their range.
Then, using his microphone staff, he spun it round and round, acting as a shield for Veemon in an attempt to not let the lightning strikes pass through.
"Jesmon Christ mode, is this how you treat every Digimon? Your social skills need a little work there, buddy."

Damn! I mistimed the attack! Leith cursed to himself as he watched Veemon charge in alone. Get your head in the game, Leith! What a relief it was to see Shoutmon jump in front of the counterattack, especially because the electric shock Veemon hadn't expected clearly rattled the blue digimon a little. At first Leith was worried Shoutmon just intended to take the brunt of the attack on himself, but it was a weight off his shoulders when the red digimon summoned a staff and spun it. Wait a minute- is that a mic stand? the young man wondered before once again scolding himself, Damnit, focus!
Fortunately, that defense seemed to get the job done. Veemon was safe thanks to Shoutmon's quick thinking. The blue digimon, though, was not happy. "Jsssst- come on!" he hissed in frustration, "All I got are physical attacks! What am I supposed to do?"
Leith had to admit he wasn't so thrilled about recklessly throwing his friend into danger and requiring Shoutmon to adapt, but he also knew there was no time to lose. Fast as he could he ran to Adrian and commanded, "Veemon's the bait! Shoutmon's the hook!" Leith didn't think there was time to discuss the strategy, so he then went ahead and called, "Catch that, Vee?"
To Leith's surprise, Veemon actually seemed to like this plan. "At least I can do something!" The blue digimon then stood back up and taunted the Elecmon with, "I've licked batteries with more voltage than you, energizer bunny!" Veemon then wisely began to circle the electric digimon, his true goal being to keep its attention and hopefully get it to let Shoutmon into its blind spot. Ever-ready to evade if he could, Veemon kept yelling to try and suck Elecmon's focus. "All the electricity in the mall, and that's the best you've got?"
Ouch. If the Tamer thing doesn't work out, maybe Veemon can be a professional roaster.

Ele&cmon while had been confident their Lightning Knives would land their mark into Veemon's flesh, the determined look on their face sunk as they caught sight of Shoutmon stepping in and reflecting the weak projectiles fairly easily. The color practically drained from their face as they recoiled in shock, a shiver going down their spine, realizing this was a 1 v 2. "N-No fair! Thats not fair!" the mammal Digimon angrily screeched, though clearly were intimidated by the presence of both Rookies now.
As Elecmon backed off from the two, they did notice the presence of the two humans off to the sidelines... he glaring metaphoric daggers at them. Tamers... Go figure... They just HAD to get involved with his lil' crime spree, didn't they? This would have been way easier if they had not tried to play hero... He'd have likely been on his way to the city power plant by now if they had not intervened! His irritation and ire only grew as Veemon and Shoutmon taunted him, he gnashing his teeth. "I don't need social skills to kick both your asses!" the mammal Digimon scoffed, once again their tail raising up as electricity coursed through it.
"Thunder Cloud!" they screeched as multiple fast bolts of lightning coursed from their tail forward at both Shoutmon and Veemon... a desperate, but powerful attack that was a sign that Elecmon was being pushed very hard by by both Rookies.
Elecmon is attacking both Veemon and Shoutmon with Thunder Cloud
Thunder Cloud - Elecmon generates a powerful current of electricity before letting it loose forward to attack the area in front of them. It is very effective against metallic or weapon-wielding Digimon by having increased accuracy against them. (Cooldown: 2 Posts)

"You know what else isn't fair?" Shoutmon asked the Elecmon. "Just taking the electricity away from the humans. It's like dining and dashing, you know? You gotta pay up!" The way the Elecmon reacted to him made him smirk a little bit.
Adrian felt chills when the Elecmon glared at him. He was still fairly new to the whole Digi-Vigilante thing, so seeing a creature that wasn't human look at him like that kind of unnerved him a little bit.
"I think we're gonna be the ones doing the ass-kicking there, Shocky," Shoutmon retorted back to Elecmon as Veemon began taunting him. Of course, all words were rendered mute when the Thunder Cloud came right at them.
"Oh god, I hope this works," Adrian says, pulling out a card out of his card holder. He then slashed that card with his D-Arc.
"Digi-Modify! Bota Bubble activate!"
Suddenly, a bubble sphere of energy surrounded Shoutmon and Veemon, so the electricity would be dampened after the bubble was hit. However, the attack was still pretty powerful, and Shoutmon got cartoonishly electrocuted, skeleton showing and all, though not at the full force as originally intended.
"BZZZZZZZZZZT! That hurt- BZZZZZZZZZZZZT!"
Shoutmon will now go "BZZZZZT!" for the rest of this battle.

"What just-"
"Huh?" That was all the time either Leith or Veemon had before the attack landed on both digimon. Painful as Veemon's squirming made the shock look, at least he was once again spared a worse fate thanks to the quick actions of the pair's new comrades. Leith was able to catch Veemon grinding his teeth in frustration as the digimon growled to himself, I can't keep letting those two show me up! What would Leith think of me if I was completely useless here?
The sentiment was shared by Leith. "What do we owe you now? Like, three?" But privately he thought, Some Tamer! Whatever that trick was, I know my digivice does not have it. What can I even do here? He peered at his own digivice, then, which was apparently making a recommendation of sorts: activate the digimental of friendship. At least, Leith supposed that was why its picture was prominent on his screen. I guess that's an ace in the hole, but I still don't know what he'll turn into! If he gets too big, this room is gonna get real cramped... or come straight down. But goddamnit, Veemon... I don't know if I can watch him be a punching bag like this.
But while the Tamer was struggling for answers, Veemon, to his credit, was not. He saw only one path forward from here. His teeth grinding turned into a small smile as he resigned himself, This is gonna hurt! He didn't tell Leith his intentions, of course; Leith would just try and find a safer way, and as far as Veemon could tell there wasn't one. It was obvious he was planning something, though; Veemon's eyes flashed brightly for a moment, and the flash was not metaphorical but literal, visible to everyone in the room. The ability Reckless had just activated. Then, Veemon rapidly jumped and threw one, "Hopping Kick!" which was swiftly followed by another, "Hopping Kick!"

Elecmon was clearly in a nervous panic from the look on their face, if primarily just because they were never much of a fighter. Dining and dashing was just the way he lived his life! Even when their attack managed to chip somewhat at Shoutmon, it still did give them much hopes as that was supposed to be an attack that was good against the red dragon! What was with these guys?! Was this really what tamer Digimon were like? Elecmon's brief pause costed him quite dearly as he flinched at Veemon hurtling at him, he unable to get himself to dive out of the way until it was too late... the blue reptile's foot landing square into Elecmon's face and hurtling them back several meters. Any recoil from the electricity from Elecmon would have paled compared to the pain Elecmon was experiencing, the Rookie struggling to get up. "Nnnngh... You... You..." Elecmon growled in pain, the intensity of their growling increasing as for a moment their eyes glimmered... they standing back up in a feral stance as their form began to glow as data swirled around their form. Pretty much everyone here probably would take that as a VERY bad sign for them... The Elecmon's form cocooned in a veil of data that burst away, revealing a gangly-looking red-furred wolf covered in black-leather gear, larger than even lions! The newly-evolved Fangmon seemed mildly disoriented by their Digivolution, but the guttural sounds coming from its throat as they bore their many-fanged maw towards both Rookies... and their tamers. "I... will DEVOUR you all TOO!" the viral wolf growled before letting out a menacing chuckle, a maniacal look in their eye. Any even remotely cute or innocent traits had as an Elecmon had vanished, replaced by a cruel and nightmarish visage.
Elecmon was hit by Hopping Kick, dealing light electric recoil damage from their Shock Shield. Elecmon had Digivolved to their Champion level, Fangmon.

Adrian could tell that Leith looked slightly upset when he asked how much they owed him this time. "You don't owe us anything. Both Digimon were in trouble, and I was just doing something to protect them. I'm sick of just standing awkwardly and not doing anything."
"Wow! Nice going, Veemon- BZZZZT!" Shoutmon congratulated his friend, before once again twitching due to the effect of the electricity.
"How long is that going to last for?" Adrian asked his partner, sounding a little bit concerned.
"I don't know- BZZZZZZZZT!"
Things seemed to be going good for the Tamers! That was, until the Elecmon got fed up, and digivolved like Adrian had initially feared. And this Fangmon looked VICIOUS! It couldn't be let into the city... it just couldn't!
Suddenly, something in Adrian's bag started to glow. He immediately looked inside-
"Adrian, now is not the best time for- BZZZZZT!"
"Hold on for just a second!" Adrian yells. He takes out the glowing object... his Digimental? Was now the time to use it? Adrian looked up at the Fangmon, realizing that now was the best time. He extended the arm holding the Digimental...
Nothing happened.
"Go, Digimental.... Activate... Unleash... Shazam..." It was honestly a pretty pathetic sight to watch.
"...are you- BZZZZT! -done yet?"
"Just give me a second!" Adrian yells. Now feeling more confident, he extends the Digimental forward...
"Digi-Armor Energize!"
Suddenly, the Digimental in Adrian's hand exploded into three different streams of water, which were all targeted to go right after Shoutmon. The red dragon was surrounded by these water streams, which then covered his whole body. The body then began to change and morph, until the water casing finally dissolved, revealing an entirely new Digimon.
"Tylomon, the Sea of Courage!"

When Leith witnessed Elecmon digivolve into Fangmon, both his heart and his stomach felt like they'd just fallen down to his gut. "That's not good!"
"What now?" Veemon demanded of Leith, looking over his shoulder at his Tamer. Of course, both of them knew there was only one option. I know he wants to be careful of the building, but that digimon will wreck us all and the building if we don't digivolve!
But Veemon's never digivolved bigger than that before! Was Leith's counter to the thoughts he didn't have to hear from Veemon to know. For all we know- Just that moment was when Shoutmon's glorious digivolution played out before the pair. "Oh, so that's how you make it work?" Leith asked Adrian and Shoutmon. Leith's digimental was instead stored in his digivice, but he figured the concept would work about the same. He manipulated the machine into the D-Terminal program he received along with the egg, highlighted the egg. He hesitated there, but he steeled his own resolve with the mental prep, Here goes nothing! and demanded of his digivice, "Digi-Armor Energize!"
Out from Leith's wrist-mounted digivice shot an arc of blue electricity that directly struck Veemon. Shit! Did I just fry my partner?
It turned out the answer was no. Like he didn't even feel it, Veemon kept looking over his shoulder at Leith, only his grin turned into the most mischievous smirk Leith had ever seen. "Veemon, digivolve to-" That was when Veemon's whole body began to spark until he was totally covered in a veil of lightning that expanded outward after forming. For safety, Leith backed away from the ball, but he was nowhere near the danger area when it finally burst and the web of lightning bolts harmlessly dispersed. What was left in their place was a sleek-looking quadrupedal covered in armor so black he was almost invisible in the dark room. "Raidramon, the Storm of Friendship!"
"Holy shit! That is so fucking metal! Figuratively and literally!" For once, Leith actually beamed himself at the new form the digimon formerly known as Veemon had assumed.
"Shock me now, sparkbreath!"
"Raidramon, in case you haven't noticed, you're clearly an electric digimon now. 'Sparkbreath' could apply to you, too."
Raidramon paid Leith's criticism no heed; he was feeling more power than ever before, and he intended to enjoy himself. He didn't wait for Adrian to make a move or for Leith to give the command he already knew was coming. In that moment, Raidramon completely disappeared, and when he reappeared, he was behind the abomination.
Holy shit, that's fast!
"Blue Thunder!" was what Raidramon declared after his fast-as-lightning maneuver. That was when the three prongs on his back lit the room up light a lightbulb and shot an azure electric bolt at the Fangmon from them.
Unfortunately, Leith was not fooled by the enthusiasm. He's been shocked four times before that. How much more can he really take?
Veemon armor digivolved to Champion Raidramon, then used his attack Blue Thunder.

"Rip and tear! Rip and tear!" Fangmon growled with a maniacal cackling emanating from his throat. The Champion level was addled by their new power, enough to not even be phased as both Shoutmon and Veemon Armor Digivolved into new forms to counteract. They were enthralled by a brutal bloodlust, enough that any semblance of sapiency seemed to vanish with their berserk state as they scraped their claws ominously against the granite floor of the basement.
The wolf Digimon's golden eyes widened as the newly-evolved Raidramon disappeared before their very eyes... reappearing behind them as they launched an electrical blast towards them. Given, Fangmon had not known it was an electric attack... but instinct forced the Fangmon forward and towards Tylomon, their panicked running causing them to avoid the attack.
Whatever panic that had been on the Fangmon's face was replaced back with seething rage, the many-toothed maw of the wolf drooling with anger... and well, also drooling. Fangmon was little more at this point but astark-raving mad animal, lashing out at the first thing in their sight... specifically the lone aquatic Digimon that was definitely not immune to thunder attacks. "Blast Coffin!" the beast let out a guttural roar as they fire a blast of dark energy... though this projectile wouldn't have been just damaging if it hit. Whatever surface the attack did hit would be covered in a noxious tar pulsing with electricity... and for Tylomon, it certainly would have been painful if they did not get out of the way.
Unfortunately for Fangmon, they also were leaving themselves exposed since they were now being flanked by both Armor Champion. All in all, a dangerous position for the red-furred animal, and not something on their mind.
Fangmon evades the Blue Thunder, attacking Tylomon with Blast Coffin.
Blast Coffin - Fires a blast of dark energy that damages the target while forming an electrified tar-like substance on the hit spot, dealing steady damage-over time and moderately slowing the target down for 3 turns. (Cooldown: 3 Turns)

Adrian noticed the look on the Fangmon's face when both Digimon Armor-Digivolved. It wasn't fear, or regret... nothing good like that. Instead, the red wolf-like Digimon looked... HAPPY to see these new forms.
"Tylomon, be careful... this thing looks far to happy to see you."
"I was thinking the exact same thing."
It didn't look much better when Fangmon managed to avoid Raidramon's electric attack, even with Raidramon's ultra-speed. Tylomon saw the Fangmon's horrifying face up close, and it even managed to make HIM uneasy!
"Uh, hey there, little doggy..." Tylomon awkwardly said, sweatdropping anime-style. His fears were confirmed as a giant ball of electricity - Blast Coffin - came directly at him!
"Hydro Wave!" Tylomon immediately says, shooting a jet stream of water out of his mouth and right at the ball of electricity. If he was lucky, it would hit the attack and keep going until it hit the Fangmon.
Meanwhile, Adrian pulled Leith aside and whispered to him. "Leith, I have a plan... I'm going to go near the door we came in from; lead that Fangmon back to me somehow."

Luckily, it seemed Raidramon was never in the path of Fangmon's attack.
Leith made side-eye contact with his cohort, completely unsure of this plan or what it might entail. Plans haven't worked out so well for us today, he acknowledged. Alright, bud. I'm trusting you. Relaying that message across the room to Raidramon in the heat of battle seemed both difficult and inadvisable, as the Fangmon would hear it, too. Instead, Leith activated his digimon-human comm program and spoke softly into his digivice, "Adrian says he wants Fangmon lured toward him. I wanna believe that he has a plan and isn't just trying to commit suicide-by-digimon."
"How am I supposed to do that?" Raidramon demanded in return.
"Well... we know he was attracted to electricity. I don't know if that's still true since he digivolved, though. And when you tried to taunt him, he didn't take the bait. That leaves only one surefire bait I can think of." Without taking his eyes off the battle, Leith joined Adrian by the door, hoping he wasn't in the way and intending to move if he was. He then intentionally spoke to Raidramon loudly enough for Adrian to hear, "The mark looks especially pissed whenever he looks at the pair of us. We're gonna be the bait."
"Are you insane?" Raidramon audibly growled over the digivice; clearly, he was less than thrilled about using his Tamer as the worm on an as-of-yet unknown hook.
"Extremely. If you want me to live long enough to see a psychologist, you'd better make sure we don't get killed.
Again, Raidramon growled, but he didn't argue. Instead, he maneuvered to one corner of the room away from both the battling attacks of Tylomon and Fangmon and from the pair of Tamers by the door. While setting his position, Raidramon tried very hard to strike the perfect balance of distance between still being able to intercept an attack on the defenseless humans and looking like he couldn't. Leith, if you survive, I'm going to pin you to the ground and refuse to let you up until you promise never to use yourself as a decoy again. Unfortunately, the blue digimon figured he should avoid attacking Fangmon then, else Raidramon would attract his attention and foil the plan... though that was still a tempting option.
"Adrian, if your plan gets me killed, I'm gonna kill you."

If there was one good thing going for Tylomon, it was their quick thinking. While their attack was not meant for defensive purposes, it served well enough towards defusing the incoming Blast Coffin projectile in midair. As the two attacks collided, the noxious black attack of Fangmon's was destroyed in collision with Tylomon's Hydro Wave.
The bestial digimon's manic look grew in intensity as they gnashed their teeth, their vile stare directed towards Tylomon. Their mind addled by dark rage, Fangmon was truly a wild animal, lashing out at anything in front of them. The loss of intelligence while did render them having less tactful strategy than before, it also meant a deal bit more was going to be needed to draw the Champion level's attention... which was currently drawn towards the large sea dragon Digimon. The sounds of the environment were dulled to the beast, replaced by the vicious instincts telling them to maim. With a snarl, the demon beast lunged towards Tylomon, aiming to tear into the aquatic Digimon with their violet claws.
Fangmon is attacking Tylomon with a basic attack using their claws.

Well, the Hydro Wave didn't exactly hit the Fangmon at all, but at least it stopped the incoming Blast Coffin attack that was coming right at him. However, Fangmon was NOT done... in fact, to Tylomon it seemed like all of its previous intelligence was just gone!
"Aha... hey there, buddy..." Tylomon said nervously.
"Tylomon," Adrian says, talking to his Digimon via the Digi-Comm., "You have Fangmon's attention; I need you to lure him over to me and Leith."
"I'm sorry, I thought I heard you say you wanted me to lure Fangmon to you."
"I DID say that."
"Did you drink stupid juice this morning?! Fangmon will rip you into shreds!"
"Tylomon, just TRUST ME on this! Please!"
"...If you're not already dead I'm gonna kill you after this!" Tylomon growled, shifting his attention back to Fangmon. "Hey! Toothy McDrool! Wanna have some fish for dinner?! COME AND GET IT!" He would then run- or rather, fly- away from Fangmon while the feral Digimon was chasing after him. Eventually, Tylomon would fly right at Adrian. Tylomon would then immediately turn left after nearly colliding with the human, and Adrian would use his Digivice to create a Digiport. Hopefully, Fangmon would run right into it, and if he did, Adrian would immediately close the port.

Much as I appreciate a good burn, I'm not even sure that thing can still understand plain English anymore. It seemed Leith hadn't taken Tylomon's aggro into account when he put himself in harms way. I can't believe I'm actually disappointed over the psycho digimon not attacking me. Leith again spoke simultaneously to Adrian and Raidramon. "Guys, if this doesn't work, I say we go right back to plan A: beat it until it stops getting up."
"Now that's my kinda plan!" Raidramon agreed. Of course, he still tried to help Adrian's idea succeed while it was still possible. "He's not after you, though, so if you don't mind-"
"Don't have to ask me twice!" In compliance with both Raidramon's suggestion and his own survival instinct, the metalhead backed away from Adrian, Tylomon, and the door.
Raidramon couldn't be certain that Fangmon would chase Tylomon all that way, though; it hadn't acted very predictably so far. So, instead, he tried to force Fangmon toward Adrian. No matter what Fangmon was up to, Raidramon closed in and attempted to close his fangs around the hostile digimon's neck with his ability, "Electric Bite!" If it hit, Raidramon then intended to keep his jaws shut tight and physically drag the beast toward Adrian, and should it miss he'd have joined Tylomon beside Adrian, hoping at least to be the bait using the hopeful attention the Tamers themselves didn't get.
Raidramon attacks Tylomon with Electric Bite. Static is now active.
Electric Bite: Snaps at the opponent with electrically-charged jaws.
Static (passive): As this digimon runs, it generates static electricity. After this digimon's second post, physical contact with this digimon causes electric damage to the opponent. This can only activate once per fight.
