The contest.
The monsters.
The screeching.
The transformation.
The device.
The little half-voice in her head pushing her.
What was all this? Cho's head is full of so many confusing images and sounds fro just the other day. Her parents noticed, and gave her money and dropped her off by a bookstore and arcade, to block out the problems with reading and DDR.This would let her blow off some steam as well.
However, judging by the way she's dressed in her 'Tsukiko' attire - black wig with bangs covering her right eye, black and white gothic dress, black heels, black lipstick, the works - it was unlikely to work. Besides, she had other plans. Or at least the voice that came to her when the D-Tector did had other plans. Vague plans.
Tsukiko arrives at what she assumes is her destination: the Shibuya Train Terminal. "Why am I here," she asks herself under her breath. "Then again, why anything...? Nothing makes sense any more."

"Hey, hey~! Amy~! Are you hearing me? Do you hear me? Hear me~!" For how long had this been happening? First question was, why was this girl following her, and second, why was she acting so familiar? As far as she knew, they had no relationship whatsoever. Whatsoever.
And that's why Amelie was doing her best to just ignore her as she went through her business. This was going to be a long day, especially if it implied a girl around her age just following her around like a lost puppy. And for some reason, the brunette felt even more irritable than usual.
At least at first; sighing with relief when the girl seemed to finally disengage after a prolonged period of just being ignored. And straight towards another person. A girl currently wearing what wore a dress that seemed just slightly out of place.
"Hey, hey~!" Cho would gaze at a slightly shorter girl than her with long, dark hair and a quite expressive pair of... red eyes. She was smiling brightly. "I think I know about you! You participated in an idol contest quite recently, didn't you? I really enjoyed your performance! Can I have an autograph?"
As if it were the most common thing in the world, she extended a notepad and a pen towards the girl currently clad in gothic clothing, hoping her wish would be grand. Was that even true, or was Ooi just mistaking Cho for somebody else? Probably something she'd find out soon!
Amelie, on her stead... now felt that this person was her responsibility, somehow. With any luck, she wouldn't cause a lot of trouble, but until then... better to remain around just a bit.

Tsukiko was lost. Sure, she knew exactly where she was. True, she knew exactly how to get home. And yet, she was more lost than ever. Why was she here? What purpose brought her here, gave her this device, and gave her the power to turn into a Digimon? It made no sense to her. She was just an idol. No, not even an idol. An aspiring idol, an idol-wannabe. Why would she be given this power?
Tsukiko sighs, eyes half-closed as she watches her feet while she walks. Her heels clack along the ground slowly as she aimlessly wanders, waiting for the voice in her head to say something. Finally it speaks -
"Hey hey~"
Wait, that wasn't her Spirit! Tsukiko's heavy-lidded eyes snap open and her head shoots up to meet the voice's owner. "...who are you," she responds. "I do not recognize you, yet you seem familiar with me-"
And then the truth strikes her hard. This girl... knows who she is! Does she recognize Chocho-chan through the dark appearance? Or could it have been an earlier competition? Either way, Tsukiko's eyes, clouded with confusion and uncertainty, brighten and part the clouds. "You recognize me? Really? I'd be glad to sign an autograph! But first... what is my name?" An odd question, but one with a purpose. Who does she recognize her as - Chocho-chan, or Tsukiko?

The raven-haired teenager couldn't but give her brightest smile at Cho. She had gotten a way better response than expected! "I usually go by Ooi but you can call me your biggest fan if you wanna!"
Rabid too much? Maybe, but she really has followed Tsukiko's and Chocho-chan's works! Sure; they weren't much, but she absolutely loved them! "Well, huh; you have at least two names, I think! But right now it's... Tsukiko, right!? I'm pretty sure of it!"
She seemed to be positively giddy at not being mistaken. And promptly to gesture to the teenager that had been observing the whole exchange at a safe distance. "What is somebody like you doing in this place, by the way? Are you going to take a train or something of the like? Can I go with you? Pretty please~!?"
Not being entirely familiar with what was happening, Amelie just approached while being unsure of what to do. Not like she needed to! "Tsukiko, this is Amelie. She's one of my besties... and even a little more, if you catch my drift!"
That gesture was followed by a wink from Ooi in Tsukiko's direction. Now, the brunette was absolutely baffled. "Wait... what?"
This had gotten all the more confusing. In a couple of seconds. But she wouldn't let that ruin the moment. "In any case, pleased to meet you. Sorry if she had been annoying... I guess."

She has a fan! Yes! Tsukiko's heart skips a beat. Perhaps she wasn't a wannabe after all. Perhaps she's on her way. But... one fan does not make a fandom make. Either way, she at least made one person happy.
"Okay, Ooi," Tsukiko says with a small smile. "Yes, I am Tsukiko. Thank you for being such a great fan. If you have something to sign and something to sign with, I will definitely give you my autograph."
Take a train? Well, she is at a train station. Perhaps that is what she is going to do. "Well... I don't know if you can come with me. Not because I don't want you to but... I actually do not know entirely why I am here. I felt something pull me to here, like a spirit of the wind. Perhaps I was just supposed to meet you."
Tsukiko glances between Ooi and Amelie. More than friends, eh? Her smile fades just slightly. "Whatever you do," she advises, "do not let go. Relationships can be fragile and ephemeral and fleeting. Make sure your heart is strong." Her smile returns to full size. "And then everything will be okay in the end."
A lazy wave from Tsukiko acknowledges Amelie's existence. "A pleasure to meet you too Amelie. Do you share your best friend's taste in music?"

Instantly, Ooi offered her newest acquaintance a notepad and a pen. "There you go! Thank you very much! Really~!"
She wasn't getting happier than this, that was for sure. However, what she said next somehow managed the feat. "Oooh~! Yeah, it may be! A predetermined meeting between an idol and her biggest fan; it must be destiny, yes! Guess that means we gotta keep being together, probably!" For a second, however, she stopped sounded like an excited puppy. "Maybe we should take a train together? What do you say?"
Amelie, on her stead, was just weirded out by what was happening, and why even she was participating in this. She was befuddled, yet... couldn't stop the chain of events that had been put in motion, except making a simple remark. "W-we're not... you know. We're not an item."
By now, she was blushing heavily, something that the shorter girl took to her advantage. "Don't worry, Amy~! Tsukiko is a good girl, I'm sure she'll understand!" The encouragement was super appreciated, of course! Even though... "She's just a bit shy. And not very musically inclined. But that can change! I'll make sure to listen to your songs together!"
Comments aside, even if Tsukiko had found a blabbermouth, a question had already been asked. Would they travel together... or not?

Ooi came prepared? Did she know Cho - or Tsukiko - was going to be here, or did she always carry a pen and pad of paper? Either way, Tsukiko signs her autograph neatly. Then things get even more weird, as Tsukiko's words of destiny give Ooi an excuse to be even clingier. Was Cho really like this? Well, she was nowhere near as clingy... right? But they shared the same energy, especially when Cho was 'Chocho-chan'.
Then Ooi suggests taking a train together. "I don't know-" Tsukiko begins, looking away slightly. However, soon she pauses and goes blank for a second, as something pushes her in her mind. Looking Ooi in the eyes, the idol smiles softly. "Actually, that seems like what I am supposed to do, after all. I do not know where destiny and fate are pulling me towards, but it seems you are to be passengers on this 'fate train'."
Wait... they weren't a couple? Amelie and Ooi were not together that way? Well... considering how Ooi is acting towards Tsukiko, and how Amelie is responding to Ooi, the situation is somewhat clear. "Hm. How did you two lovebirds meet," Tsukiko asks, a bit of disbelief in her voice. "I'm sure it is a very romantic tale. I'd love to hear both your sides of the story. Perhaps I could even use it to write you a love song."

"Thank you very much!" Hugging the notepad that had been handed right back at her rather tightly before storing it back in her backpack. She wasn't up to one, but up to two surprises this day, it seemed! After a moment of hesitation, Tsukiko had eventually relented and accepted they were meant to travel together.
"That sounds like an amazing idea. Ain't it, Amy~? I'm sure we'll have lots of fun with Tsukiko-chan!" A vague nod was the only response she got, and that's all that mattered to prompt yet another wide smile from the short girl. "When are we leaving, then? I'm excited to go!"
Of course, things wouldn't be as easy this time. Apparently, Tsukiko had caught on what was going on? And, surprisingly enough, that question was enough to make Ooi herself blush in embarrassment; what an interesting turn of events! "Well, uhhh. It's nothing special." She began. "In fact, it was in a day just like this one! I was new to this city, and was looking for a place because I had moved recently! And Amy over here was also looking for a roomie in order to cut costs and stuff; and that's kinda how we met! Everything has gone smoothly ever since!"
That sounded fair enough, actually? It was their story, even though it still just meant that their relationship was merely out of convenience. Even though...
"B-But we are just friends." A small pause ensued before the brunette added. "At least for now, I guess."
Wait... why she had said that last part? God, now she was probably gonna give the wrong impression. "And that's it, more or less! Nice, I know it's not very romantic, but not every beginning has to be, right?"
Yup, Ooi wasn't taking a no for an answer, even though Amelie's own response had been at least decent at exposing a reasonable doubt. "What about you, Tsukiko-chan? Do you have somebody special in your life? I'd like to know them too someday!"

So this is what it is like to sign an autograph or a huge fan. As Ooi hugs the autograph, Tsukiko practically feels the hug. Despite how...different... Ooi is, that simple act warms the 'dark and mysterious' idol's heart. "You are much more than welcome. It was my pleasure to sign this for you, dear fan."
Tsukiko, Amelie, and Ooi were supposed to travel together. Probably. Maybe. Tsukiko was still unsure, but that nudge from her Spirit felt pretty insistent. "Perhaps we will have fun. Perhaps not. We will not know until we try. Shall we?"
It was a shame that Tsukiko could see right through Ooi. This story about how she met Amelie, and Amelie's denial, practically confirm it. She was really hoping that it wasn't one-sided, but...
Then Amelie gives hope to their relationship. "For now?" Tsukiko smirks. "It is true that 'true love' is the exception, not the rule. Spending time with someone you are fond of makes the hearts grow closer. Acquaintances becoming friends, friendship blossoming into something more. It is... sweet."
Unfortunately, Tsukiko's questions get turned against her. She blushes and freezes, then sighs sadly. "For now... I walk alone. Perhaps love will find me someday, but right now, my closest partner is my music."

Had Ooi imagined her dream would come true so soon? Probably not, and that made her all the happier; it was like winning the lottery, but better! "Just wait until I tell my friends! They'll be so jealous~!"
Not to say that now, they were going to travel together. The teenager couldn't ask for anything else from this day, really! "Yup, let's go!" A bit of a pause ensued before the inevitable question was posed. "Sooo... where are we going?"
Yup, that was probably the most important thing she needed to know. After all, it wasn't like Ooi could pay the expensive stuff that idols could afford, right?
The specifics of the two girls' relationships were a bit of a blurred mystery, but probably that'd be unveiled later. For now, Ooi had stopped insisting about it, and Amelie just wanted to... let it go. Not worth discussing at the moment. She just nodded at Tsukiko's remark before, hoping that the topic would be diverted into something else. Like Tsukiko's own relationships! That prompted a small sigh of relief.
"Really? I'm sure you have a lot of... suitors! None of them has caught your fancy yet? Or maybe... you're waiting for that special person? One that makes your heart flutter and that kinda stuff! Oh, that's so romantic~!" A small pause was made, before a smirk graced Ooi's face. "What's your type, Tsukiko-chan? Do you prefer a particular kind of guy... or girl?"

"Wait wait wait." Tsukiko stares at her admirer as if she grew a second head. "Your friends... will be jealous? You mean... you aren't the only one who knows who I am? Do I... actually have fans already?" Impossible... right?
It was time to travel. However, Ooi makes a really good point. Where are they going? "Actually, I hate to break the illusion of the glamourous, mysterious, yet knowing idol who has any idea what she is doing, but... I did not know why I came here, and I do not know where I am supposed to be going on this train ride. It is a complete puzzle to me. If you have any suggestions..."
When did the conversation turn towards Tsukiko's relationships? "Er... um... so... you see..." The tiny bit of red on her cheeks grows until it threatens to swallow her face. "I... really do not know. I do not know what I am looking for in a romantic companion. I'm as lost in love as I am at this train station."

For some reason, Tsukiko seemed surprised at the initial response that she had gotten. Ooi blinked twice, a bit lazily; almost as if she hadn't understood the question. Then... proceeded to pout a bit. "Heeey~! Are you implying that I don't count as a fan? Because I do, and my friends do too! Is there something wrong with that?"
To say the raven-haired teenager was confused was an understatement, and probably the first time she had felt just slightly like Amy had felt this whole while. Buuut, dwelling on that kind of sensation seemed to be pointless! Instead, she preferred to talk about where they could go, even though... she was probably as clueless as her idol.
Amelie herself didn't know why she was playing along with everything that was happening at the moment, but... she liked helping, so why not. "Don't know why came here, huh? Well, maybe you need to unwind a bit or something of the like? We can probably take a train to the nearest shopping mall or something of the like; shopping trips can be fun."
Then again, the brunette wasn't the fan, so she could only guess at what could constitute a fun activity. Not like Ooi seemed to know any better. Or to care, for that matter; she seemed to be way more focused on what Tsukiko's 'type' is.
"Well, if you need help with that, we can always try to find out together! Everyone deserves a shot at happiness even if they're talented idols, I think!" Was she associated being in a relationship with being happy? Maybe that seemed a bit shallow on the surface. She was quick to correct herself, all while blushing a little bit while twiddling her thumbs. "I mean! Being in love is like being happy, but with butterflies flying in your stomach and that kinda thing, right? At least that's how... I feel it. Ever felt like that, Tsukiko-chan?"
It was obvious that she was talking kiiiinda from experience, and that made her somewhat aware that no everyone experienced things the way she did.

Tsukiko waves her arms emphatically to signal a misunderstanding. "N-no! I didn't mean that! I meant I'm surprised that I have fans, plural! I am so happy you are my fan, but I thought you might be the only one!"
Amelie suggests a trip to a shopping mall. "That sounds like a great id-" Tsukiko begins, then blinks blankly. "Huh. Not sure that's where I'm supposed to be heading. But whatever, if I cannot get straight answers from whatever guides me, perhaps I should ignore my guide and hit the mall anyways..." For some reason, Tsukiko starts to look nervous, glancing around. How much should she tell, and how much could she play off as part of her 'mysterious' persona? It was unlikely that either of these girls had any idea about Spirits and Digimon. If only there was a way to find out.
Perhaps she could think of a way after this awkward talk of her 'type' is over with.
"How would you suggest helping me find my type," Tsukiko asks awkwardly, looking as if she was trying to hide behind her own hair and hand. "But um... could you keep this a secret? I'm looking to understand love... but I'm writing romantic songs anyways. I hope this doesn't shatter any illusions..."

Ooi was an expert on being difficult, especially if it would bring her even more things and stuff from her idol! Was that manipulative? Maaaybe, but just slightly! It wasn't like it mattered much, anyway. "Well~." A bit of a sly expression took over the raven-haired teenager's features. "Maybe I'll forgive you if you let me take a selfie of the three of us once we're done. How does that sound?" Of course, she laughed at herself as soon as she finished the sentence. "Just joking. It's fi~ne!"
For some reason, Amelie thought that there's more than an act at Tsukiko's attitude. Was it all an idol's act, or was there something... stranger at work? She preferred not to think about it, considering that the notion could compromise the potential of a new friend that had been building up until now. So, instead, she just smiled while motioning to the insides of the Train Terminal. "I mean, if you wanna go to a place in particular, it's not like I'm against it. Besides, it looks like Ooi will probably follow you for as much as you can bear with her, no matter what. Soooo, if you have a better plan, we can probably go with it!"
In any case, it wasn't as if that was the topic that seemed to garner the most attention. Of course, the shorter girl was way more interested in finding out which was Tsukiko's type. "Well, that's easy! You just meet enough people until your body decides it likes one person in particular enough, you begin feeling funny and then you want to talk with that person more and being with them more! It's like being a fan of somebody, but it feels a lot... funnier, for the lack of a better word! Trust me, you'll notice when it happens to you." Yup, not the most definite answer, but whoever said love had a hard definition was pretty silly, anyway.
She then proceeded to wave off her concerns. "Don't worry about it! I'm sure love means different things for different people; as long as your message brings happiness to others, there's nothing wrong with writing romantic songs, at least to me!"

It was obvious to Tsukiko that Ooi was trying to get as much out of her as possible. However, her admiration and fandom seems genuine, and there was nothing harmful yet, so she'll indulge her a little longer. Especially her last request, whether it was actually a joke or not. "A selfie with the three of us? Why would you joke about that? A keepsake, a memento of a beautiful friendship is a wonderful thing I would not refuse."
Something was telling Cho that there was more to Amelie than meets the eye. How would she confirm this? "Um...so.... Miss Amile... is there anywhere... special that the trains can take us?" Maybe she knew a secret as to why a Spirit would bring her here, but she can't just outright ask. "And... do you believe in ghosts, or spirits, or strange beings? O-of course, if you don't, that's perfectly fine, I'm just curious. If there's nowhere special to go, though, I'll leave the decision to Ooi."
All this talk of love is flustering Tsukiko for some reason. Why had she never really thought about it? Maybe it had something to do with... no. That part of her family's life was over. There was no reason to think about that right now. However, that quick thought might have played across her face as sorrow and confusion. She was right back there with the odd feelings of awkwardness about love. "Thank you so much. I shall keep that all in mind, and I'm glad you still support me."
