Tiki brushed herself off and frowned just slightly. This group was fairly well prepared even for just getting here. She'd turn her head from one to another; blinking owlishly as agreements sounded as they weren't looking to digitize her cousin. The ranamon sighed and scratched her neck. So Cion wanted to hang back and provide support? That was useful even at this low of a level of fighting. The ranamon sighed softly; why couldn't this of been her? She bet her cousin would of been far more useful than she was. The gentle reassurance from Agumaru was met with a small smile; a brief nod and a scratch of her head. So two support esq digimon, a melee fighter.. Some kind of range and... another melee fighter? The ranamon blinked a few times as she was addressed by toki and the smile turned to a small somewhat wolfish grin. "Well he'd do the same thing to me, and I'll be honest... My mother would never let me hear the end of this if I didn't."The ranamon groaned a little bit as she had to think of that. Then came Leith; being addressed came to a surprising turn. He came down into some form of tactical sense which honestly blindsided the ranamon. She'd look between the the group and him before slowly nodding at the idea of keeping with cion. Supports working together to keep the others up did seem like a good idea. And attacking the tower when she could did sound like a good idea. What worried her the most was simply the individual that they had to fight. "No point in waiting around if there's a good plan right?"
Once the group was firm and ready, agreeing or not. The area itself would yawn open to them. One way or another they all would of gotten there. There was very little in the area other than them, the tower guardian, the tower itself and the Ranamon. Six buildings just barely peaking above the water made up the area; large rooftops and their formation making it easy to understand that near 'ground' level this was a courtyard. Three of the building sat higher than the others, providing a small bit of cover the group could use on the far side of courtyard. Directly in the middle lay the tower who's guardian was sitting idly by the tower base. An ArresterDramonIt was tossing explosives in the water from time to time seemingly enjoying the explosions that sent the water flying up in plumes. In it's mouth it grinded steaming length of metal between it's lips like a cigar. It watched the group's approach with mild disinterest. There was no where to really hide here past behind it; unless the Platymon wanted to dive it too would be seen. Flicking the length of metal to one side the arresterdramon stood. The solid length of black metal around it's neck plain and easy to see; a dark ring who's power was active. It was waiting for the group to get into actual attack range before doing anything. After all; they weren't in range quite yet. Rules for Towers can be found hereParticipant(s): -Cion -Agumaru -Toki -Lieth There is a 3 Day grace period, Combat rotation is set unless posting becomes a problem.Dark Ring: Rookie: 0/16 Armor: 0/12 Control SpireRookie: 0/20 Armor: 0/14

Happy that every member of their group was more or less of the same moral alignment, aiming to not impose too much harm upon the unfortunate slave of the dark spire, Cion nodded firmly as to implicitly eternize their approach. As the turned to Toki, her stark stance relaxed a little, delighted to see that the lad was willing to show the evil and her everything he got. Considering their were handicapped in individual power yet superiors in numbers meant that everyone had to give it their all to emerge victoriously today. Because if they didn't... that's no good.
However, though the Arnamon tried to display absolute focus for their task, the way Leith addressed her was so incredibly impertinent that her silver fur and ears straightened up, giving the human boy a killing glare. "Do not ever call me that again... sir. I have a name, and you will address me with that or an adequate title - like miss or lady - not cat-fox-thing." She insisted unwaveringly, believing that proper respect and mannerisms were the quintessence of harmony, especially when they had to properly cooperate to accomplish a difficult mission. Besides, those were attributes that still had to be made a global status quo to establish a more peaceful digital world - but that was an endeavor for another day.
Sighing once, the tiny fennec regained her slightly lost composure, wishing nothing but to put an end to the vile construct that sought to vitiate the aquatic city of the Sunken Elysium. Helping out Tiki was what mattered the most. That she was ready to help herself as well was a pleasant first sign for things to come. With the important aspects of their plan settled, the time had arrived to bring the fight to the corrupting piece of sodden architecture.
Entering the 'arena', it was not hard to spot the black tower and its enslaved sentinel who tossed explosives into the deep, blue abyss beneath their feet. It was quite unusual for Arresterdramon, but then again diversity was the spice of life, was it not? As an advocate of individualism, she had to admire the bipedal dragon for his skills, despite them of course being utilized for harmful purposes.
And as much as Cion was seeking to initiate the rescue, her current form did not allow that. Instead she motioned the Ranamon to stop and relocate towards the outer edges of the battlefield. Naturally, due to the blasting agents, they had to position themselves far away from each other.

Everyone had a part to play in this plan. Agumaru's was just as expected. "You can count on me," he tells Leith, full of confidence and - of course - determination. As long as they all work together, this should go smoothly.
However, the first roadblock has already appeared. Leith called Cion a cat-fox-thing, and she wasn't having any part of it. "Please," Agumaru urges sincerely, "Do not fight. I'm sure that Leith meant nothing by it. Leith, though, we introduced ourselves for a reason. though perhaps you missed it which wouldn't be your fault. She is Cion. We need to trust in each other, and respect each other, okay?"
Now for the more pressing matter - the assault on the Control Spire. Agumaru laughs as he thinks of his part in the plan. "Haha, this is going to suck," he exclaims cheerfully. With a lunge, he jets through the water towards the Arresterdramon. To get his attention, he fires a "QUACK CANNON" blast right at him three-fourths of the way towards reaching him. ==================== Quack Cannon on Cooldown: 2 turns remaining Quack Cannon: Fires electrified sound waves from his beak. 2-turn cooldown.

Toki had never seen that side of Cion before. It was a little chilling to see her get upset with somebody. He hoped he'd never be on the receiving end of that "What Agumaru said. Let's focus on the task at hand." he said as he followed the group towards the 'arena' so to speak. He smiled a bit at Leith's plan "You've got a good eye for the skills of others. I find that respectable. I'll definitely keep my focus on the tower, which in turn will help keep the guardian distracted to give you guys some breathing room. Agumaru and I will serve as front liners while the rest of you try to keep your focus on the tower. Just be sure to stay a good distance from each other in case of explosions, alright?" he said, clearly worried about the arsenal ArresterDramon had at its disposal.
As he stepped forward, the guns on his hands whirred and clicked "Hey there!" he called out. "Sounds like you're having fun. Seems like you've got yourself quite a bit of firepower there. I'll admit, watching the water spray like that is very pretty and fun, but you also strike me as the competitive sort." he aimed his guns seemingly towards the guardian and waited for Agumaru's attack to land "So how about we make this a little more of a spectacle? Gargo Bullets!" the guns spun around and launched a volley of bullets that sped past the guardian and towards the Tower to deal direct damage to it. The combination of Agumaru's direct attack and Toki's attack to the Tower would hopefully be enough to keep ArresterDramon focused on them for the time being. "We'll get you out of this. I promise." he said, getting ready for battle.

Toki fired Gargo Bullets towards the Tower to try and deal direct damage to it.

Leith nodded in appreciation to Toki before turning to Cion. "Tell you what, 'Lady:' if we get out of this alive, I'll give you a real Japanese apology with the bow and everything," the young man managed to quip to Cion just before she broke off. Just because Leith was residing in Japan didn't mean he considered himself Japanese, after all, especially after just a couple months. "Use that as a reason not to kick my ass while my back is turned, eh?" Leith and Raidramon were intentionally the last to arrive on the scene, preferring instead to analyze how his comrades spread themselves out. Huh, what do you know? They're actually sticking with the plan... mostly. At the beginning. After his scan of the area, Leith commanded Raidramon, "Look at all these ruins. Do you think you can get up high but still in range of the tower?"
"Do you doubt me?" Raidramon snickered just before swimming beside one of the taller structures jutting out from the surface. "Hang on! Going up!" Leith did as instructed and gripped Raidramon hard as he could while the digimon sunk its claws into the incline of the structure to pull himself up. Not only did he make it, he was almost running the entire time.
"Alright. I'll admit to being impressed," the Tamer complimented. "I'm the eyes, you're the muscle." Leith dismounted then, preferring to keep his spot on the tower in case Raidramon had to leap into the thick of battle. "You know what to do."
Raidramon nodded, then leapt to a slightly lower structure with great strength to put a little distance between the pair. "Blue thunder!" Raidramon declared that just before an azure lightning bolt shot out from the spikes on his back toward the tower. Meanwhile, the Tamer had his eyes on the battlefield - especially Arresterdramon. In his mind he was already prepared to jump if one of those bombs came uncomfortably close.
As the action heated up, the young man shouted to the whole group, "Rock and roll people! Wreck some shit!" as a hearty battle cheer. Privately, however, he thought to himself, And now... the hard part.
Raidramon attacked the tower with Blue Thunder.

Tiki shifted a little nervously when the group seemed to have a little bit of difficulty or at least argued slightly when it came to one of them being called something other than their name. The ranamon just shook her head uncertain of what to really say there. In the arena however? The ranamon shifted away from the group as directed, easily manuevering in the water to avoid being too close to them when the explosives started flying. She'd dip into the water and keep her head just barely above it so that she could keep an eye on the fight. The arresterdramon on the other hand? Their eyes were flicking from person to person as they moved around. A vague sense of protectiveness over the spire forming as it stood up taller than normal. Drawing out what looked to be a package of explosives from somewhere on it's body the digimon would snarl upon the quack cannon hitting it directly in the chest. The force enough to send them sliding back just a little bit. It's arm pulled back to throw the bundled explosive but it's body spasmed and twisted when the toki attacked the tower. Eyes swiveled and locked coldly onto the spirit user for a brief moment before throwing the bundled explosive straight at the platymon. The packaging warped and twisted breaking apart into three seperate 'charges' and splashed into the water harmlessly. The tower was getting attacked, but it needed to clear out the one trying attack it outright. After all the guardian couldn't do anything if there was something in the water trying to get in the way. "I hold you to it, sir." Was her firm yet calm response to Leith, looking forward to the moment after their encounter in which the impudent lad properly apologized to her. However, the others were right. They first had to overcome the dark spire before Cion would savor her well-deserved minute of equity.
Thankfully, everyone was giving it their all from the very beginning, attacking the corrupting structure while keeping its enslaved sentinel occupied. If only she was capable of armor-digivolution as well, though hopefully her ranged support was appreciated.
With Ranamon taking to the ocean, the Arnamon positioned herself on the edge of the battlefield, maintaining as much distance and positional difference to her allies as possible. The more direction the poor Arresterdramon had to focus on the better. It was not quite the type of attrition she was used to, but as long as it sufficed she was content with it. Unfortunately, until an ally of her got injured, there was little for her to do against a digimon of the Champion level.
Oh how she already missed her apex form... there simply had to be a way to deal with these foul structures and not get reduced to an extremely weak stage like Rookie. Probably worth investigating and utilizing her vast resources as an officer of PROFIT for...

Agumaru grins at Toki, greatly appreciating his agreement and understanding. It seems they both agree on teamwork and acceptance. It seems that they were the peace-keepers.
They also were the front line. "Let's do this," the Platymon says more confidently than he felt. Just the most minute twitches show any hesitation. He takes off and attacks, managing to land a successful blow. While he was hoping to hit the Dark Ring, his wide shot at least was a distraction. Teamed up with Toki's attack, it seems to be working well. "Nice one!"
The Arresterdramon wasn't going to take these attacks lying down, however. The bundle of explosives flies right at Agumaru. His forward momentum would allow him to dodge the attack... if the bundle didn't break off into three. One of them lands on his tail. He braces for explosion, but it does not immediately come.
Before his sigh of relief, however, Agumaru realizes it is stuck to his tail. "I was right. This is gonna suck. But..." He quickly swipes his tail through the water, getting the rest stuck on his tail. He then tears through the water, and when in range of Arresterdramon, swings his tail as hard as he can while it is charged with the power of the ocean. If successful, the explosion would hurt Agumaru - a lot - but should also do some serious damage to the Dark Ring. Explosions plus Water Hammer equals a lot of damage... hopefully. ====================== Quack Cannon on cooldown - 1 turn remaining Water Hammer on cooldown - 1 turn remaining Water Hammer: A water-elemental tail strike. 1-turn cooldown.

Toki sighed a little bit, glad that the Arresterdramon's attack didn't hit its mark for the most part, only slightly damaging Agumaru. "Agumaru, I think we've got his attention! Start focusing on the tower if you see an opening!" he said, trying to figure out his next move. How could he distract Arresterdramon and attack the tower at the same time? He had an idea and hoped that it would work.
He would attempt to vault over the enemy when it was distracted by everyone else's actions and would land in the water, planting the barrels of his guns against the surface "Tremor Rounds...Overheat!" he shouted as a loud booming sound echoed through the area, the water rippling wildly around his body. The main impact of the shockwave sent out would hit the target entirely. The waves caused by the overheat variant of the move should hopefully stagger the enemy for the time being while dealing no damage to them.
He looked up at Leith and Raidramon's assault on the tower and the subsequent cheering. That was more like it, he thought. Confidence, but not too much confidence, was the key to working with the group during this battle. And now he would be between the Arresterdramon and the Tower, giving those attacking it a little breathing room. Hopefully. "There's more where that came from, friend. Got any more tricks to show me? I'd love to see." he seemed oddly cheerful in battle. Was it just his confidence or was a Gargomon's typically jovial nature rubbing off on him?

From his spot high over the battlefield, the Tamer was quite glad for his bird's eye view of the battle, especially when the alternative was the kind of up-close and perspective he had hoped to avoid. "Oh, boy... that doesn't look pretty."
"Should we help them?" Raidramon was just a little too far away to communicate with Leith using just yelling, especially over the noise of the battle happening below the mostly-sunken towers they stood on. However, Leith's comm program automatically seemed to recognize this problem and solved it by projecting Raidramon's voice through the device on his wrist. Extra conveniently, it also projected Leith's own voice right into Raidramon's ears.
"It's two-on-one. They're fine, though I wish they'd stop pushing that thing toward the goddamn spire."
"Maybe we should help repel him. We're supposed to be the ones who leap in to help, but no one's coming to help us if those two can't keep Arresterdramon away!"
So this was the decision Leith had to make. He crouched, scrutinized his options, and concluded, "Stay on target. We're gonna trust they'll be OK for now - they've been doing this longer than us, I'm sure. Besides, the tower is still the main objective."
"Blue Thunder!" After his second attack toward the tower, Raidramon criticized, "You know you don't have to convince me, right?"
"I'm not trying to convince you," Leith admitted in response, "I'm thinking out loud to help me see any problems... and kinda hoping you'll say something if you see one."
Even though they couldn't hear each other easily, the pair was still close enough that Leith caught Raidramon turning to smirk at Leith over his shoulder. "Admit it: it's kinda fun, isn't it? The adrenaline? Fighting for something that matters beside comrades?"
"As long as my feet stay high above the water, I'm havin' a fuckin' blast," was the young man's wisecrack in return. That was also his way of avoiding the real answer to the question, which was, Alright. I'll admit it... it's kinda cool. But this still isn't a game.
Raidramon attacked the tower with Blue Thunder.

The ones not attacking the tower weren't even given the time of day from the Arresterdramon. The one in front of it had taken the bundle of explosives it had thrown at it and attached it to it's tail! With a snarl the arresterdramon made a strange motions with it's hands the water around it rising upwards and kicking it away from the range of the Agumaru's water hammer but not away from it's own explosive prowess. It didn't help that Toki also followed through with some strange shockwave that made it shift awkwardly; it's water not acting the way it supposed to thanks to that shockwave. The three explosives that were attached to Agumaru went off without a hitch making the Arresterdramon scream in a pain. It'd land near the tower and without a second thought it continued that strange motion gesturing in an aggravated nature at the Spirit user. A second later a swath of water spiraled up from the sea and launched itself at the spirit user. Did this digimon have power over the water itself or was there something more at play still? Reguardless of the damage that Agumaru took he'd find that he hadn't taken as much as he would of thought. Near the back of the fight tiki's body was overtaken with power; the Platymon finding that he was encompassed with a strange sort of light that had mitigate the damage somewhat! "Say something before you do something dumb like that jeez!"With each attack that landed on the tower the Arresterdramon's body would twitch and spasm as the tower fought against the nature of the digimon guarding it. The Arresterdramon needed to fight those that were dealing damage to it and would need to deal with each of them but with every attack from different targets made it hard to choose which one to go after! As much as Cion appreciated the group's ability to banter and cooperate from afar, she as mostly a bystander felt like their focus was wavering quickly. Instead of the dark spire being their primary target, some of the attacks were also directed at its enslaved sentinel. Harming an innocent victim of circumstances and delaying the obliteration of a vile force - two aspects the Arnamon certainly disapproved heavily of. But... it could not be helped as distraction was required. Everyone had vowed to keep the Ranamon's treasured friend alive, hence she simply hoped her allies had not forgotten their oath.
Noticing the water-bending the Arresterdramon performed, the silver fennec instinctively followed its motions, eventually spotting that the surge was about to lash out at her dear companion Toki. While, unfortunately so, in this form she was incapable of truly protecting him, she was at least capable of mending surface damage. Taking in a deep breath and clearing her throat, she anticipated the exact time when the aqueous assault would collide with the spirit-wielder's frame. And it was in this very moment that she snapped her fingers, alleviating some of the potential pain and injuries imposed on the young lad.
A brief sheen of light around his body - glistering iridescently in the water - and the small deed was done.

Everyone's teamwork was working out nicely. Attacks regularly hit the tower, Arresterdramon was taking enough damage that it should slow him down, and even after that terrible explosive hit Agumaru took, he's feeling okay. In fact, he's feeling better than could reasonably be expected. He has to thank Tiki after the battle.
However, not everything was going according to plan. "Crud," the Platymon curses, as he inadvertently undoes his distraction work. "This is not where I wanted him to end up."
No it wasn't. Arresterdramon was supposed to be kept away from the tower, and Agumaru put him closer. Even worse, Toki was under attack, and Agumaru wasn't sure he could stop the assault. Perhaps he could weaken it... and get an attack in... and cause the Arresterdramon to change targets in one move! He jets in front of and to the side of the water attack, pulls his tail back as it shines with mysterious power, and slams the tail into the incoming water attack. Would that water onslaught even count as a projectile and be redirected? Probably not, but maybe some of it will be shot back or at least blocked or slowed. His Heavy Tail Counter would probably be a glancing blow against the water attack, anyways, but at least he tried."Ghrfff....ugh.... you okay there? Let's... let's show this thing what we can do!" ============================== Heavy Tail Counter on cooldown, 3 turns remaining Heavy Tail Counter: Parries melee attacks and redirects projectiles by countering them with his tail. 3-turn cooldown

Toki was slightly taken aback at what Arresterdramon was doing. Control over water was definitely not something he would have expected from this Digimon. He was still recovering from his attack, so by the time he could react it was too late. He braced himself, feeling Cion's support and was ready to tank the hit, but then Agumaru dove in front of him to counter the projectile "H-hey! Thanks for that, you two! I'm fine. Okay, I think we've got his attention, so follow my lead. If you've got anything that can hit from a distance, hit the tower, trust me. That'll bring him towards us if luck wills it." he said.
Hopefully this would work. It was a bit of a gamble, but it was something that could potentially put some distance between Arresterdramon on the tower. He would attempt to leap up towards Arresterdramon and cling to the back of his neck. The guns on his hands began to spin up faster and faster as he aimed directly for the tower "Cylinder Sandstorm!" he called out, a mass of dust and wind pressure blasting from the guns towards the tower. With any luck, the push back will drag him and Arresterdramon further away from the tower to give the others some much needed breathing room.
Toki felt as if he was getting used to this whole combat thing and he was getting better at quick thinking. His spirit agreed with this sentiment. All the two of them could do was wait and see how this played out and how everyone else chooses to follow up.

Leith growled to himself as he watched events unfold. "This isn't the plan," he grumbled, "Toki or I shouldn't be jumping in unless the platypus is in bigger danger, and even then it was supposed to be us first."
"Well, things don't always go according to plan," Raidramon pointed out.
"Circumstances outside out control are one thing, but what's the point of a plan if people don't follow it?" Leith bit his lip and thought a moment before concluding, "Alright, we can work with this. It just looks like me and... that, the machine gun guy."
"Leith, they're Agumaru and Toki."
"You know I can never remember names after the first time, OK? Look, not the point. It looks like Toki and I just switched roles; he's special teams while I'm tower-focused." After saying that out loud, the young man added, "It's almost better that way, actually; means we shouldn't have to get in the fight... I hope. But if someone goes rogue again-"
"We'll adapt like we're supposed to!" It seemed that as Leith went on, Raidramon got slightly less patient with his Tamer's thinking out loud. "Even if you don't know them, trust them to do the right thing. Trust us to deal with it, too." Raidramon again unleashed, "Blue Thunder!" at the control spire.
