"F-feh! You little... Little FEH! Let me out!"
The reddish brown fur of the renamon stood on end and she threw yet another fireball at the scorched side of the wall. This was just another point in this massive structure that she had been put into. The true owner of this body had flown to the north and spent two whole days putting up walls making a massive dome around her old home.
She had made sure to warn off any other digimon of what she was doing. Though considering that most in the north minded their own damn business she didn't really have to worry about that.
It just made it all the more frustrating that the renamon wasn't strong enough, the leomon, the sangloupmon, the Shutmon, meicrackmon and even the Two megas at her disposal! None of them could even scratch the surface of this massive fortress that the OmegaShutmon had made!
It was quite aggravating as she had somewhere she needed to be, something she needed to take care of for her employer! If she didn't get him this calumon from the library who would? The answer was something she didn't really want to think about; he could probably get another person to do it but it wouldn't make them hesitate; it wouldn't make them pause or wonder what they were doing. They'd just fight like it was another person...
"I'll make them all serve him! You'll have to watch as each one of them succumb to his will!"
The taunt was directed at a tired looking fox nearest the inner machinama's that was the core of this particular digimon. A large armored wolf was laying it's head in the lap of this fox, whom once every so often would rub the ears of the larger of the two of them.
They'll be ready for us.
"You can't possibly know that."
You started a fight with people you don't know enough about, sure you know about Mikemon and Haru or Tawna at best. But that's it. You don't know who else is there.
"Won't be hard to find out from our employer... Once I get out of here!"

Indeed - the 'original' owner of the fox was proving to be quite a hassle.
Back in Whitewater, the dominated K had come oh-so-close to solving two of the Wisemon's problems at once: finding the location of the Library, and getting back at that troublesome Doctor who had, once or twice, caught wind of his schemes. It would have truly been a complete victory had K simply managed to steal the cat away, likely able to catch the club unaware and snatch up that important Digimon with little issue.
But, alas, it would not be so simple. It appeared that Examon, Jesmon, and that Digimon were just a little more than his mark could handle - enough for K to fully isolate herself from society. She had hid herself so well, in fact, that the Wisemon couldn't immediately find her, even when trying to track the signal of the mark. Still...
... Persistent as the Wisemon could be, that wouldn't be a permenant problem. It never could be, especially with the obvious, out-of-place mausoleum the empowered Shutmon had created. Though his servant may have been tormenting herself trying to escape from the inside, such a prison wasn't impossible to penetrate.
One just had to be able to teleport a touch further than a Renamon. And so, as K spoke of her beloved employer, talking to some force unseen, she'd hear what she perceived to be a soothing voice:
"Oh, there, there. Your employer is already here."
This would be followed by the draping of a blanket around the Renamon's shoulders, helping to shield the poor rookie from the cold - before the Wisemon would give her a small hug from behind. "Poor dear... have you been waiting for long? Quite a mess, you got yourself into..."

'K' took a long look at the sprawling monstrosity of ice in front of her and let out a soft somewhat frustrated sigh. The other had for the most part made it absolutely impossible for her to do anything in this damn place. Hell she couldn't even fly in most of the forms now as they lacked the Jesmon cloak that she had started to grow used to. It was just a sign there was a little bit of pull from the true patron of the body.
She wasn't aware that her employer was looking for her; in fact she figured that he might of already gotten the calumon and this would be her punishment for failing him. She grumbled a little bit and looked around for a few moments before taking her time running her hands along the part that she had been throwing her fireballs at. The ice was still perfectly fine, she hadn't even made a dent in it. Just what kind of power did that form have? It was obviously well outside of her control.
Her ears perked and she'd stiffen for a single split second as she heard the voice of her employer. Which was followed by a blanket being draped around her shoulders; while her fur was marvelous at keeping out the cold it wasn't good out in the open like she was. Well as open as she could get. The small hug earned a small but pleased shudder from the renamon. Gingerly did she pat one of the arms that the wisemon had to give her a hug.
"About a week by my counting sir... I didn't think You'd be looking for me! I'm.. sorry I wasn't able to get the doctor to tell me the location and I think he destroyed the files that had them..."
A somewhat frustrated sigh and somewhere deep did the 'real' K groan. Silence on the other hand blinked a little bit and found herself frowning gazing into the core as it not only told them what was going on but what had occured in the more recent times. Gritting it's teeth it'd scratch idly at the 'ground'.
Tch... So he did come huh?

"My, a week? You've been trapped in here for a while then, haven't you." At this point, Wisemon spoke as if he was speaking to a dear pet, gently running his own hand over her arm, doting his valuable servant. Of course, the expected responses came - disappointment for being unable to collect the Calumon, or to get the information from the Mikemon.
"Oh, that's quite alright. In fact, this is due to my rare negligence, dear: the marks simply won't hold your Super Mega forms very well. I seem to have overestimated my own ability." True as that may have been, part of the blame also lied on the aloof nature of K's more malicious self. As for the files?
"Actually? All the cat did is show me where the important papers were." Reaching under his cloak, the Wisemon held out a palm, holding a charred, almost unrecognizable piece of paper. Slowly, his magic began to flow through the page, and at once, like a scab flickering away, the paper flattened out, darkened and burnt charcoal once more turning back to its original form.
Right there - right before K's eyes - was the description and general 'range' of the Great Moving Library.
"If we have one advantage, dear, it is that Mikemon doesn't know I'm behind all this. One cannot easily hide information from me, should I desire to read it. This is what you were looking for, yes?"

"Most of it she was in control, doing some kind of 'training' I think. She eventually exhausted herself and well.. I took back over and been t rying to get out ever since..."
There was a subtle whine to her voice and the renamon leaned into that doting touch. Her form shifted a little bit and she'd she'd blink a few times however when the Wisemon started to speak again. Telling her that it was all right; that he had overstepped figuring that the marks wouldn't of held against a super mega terribly well. Overestimating his own ability; frowning slightly she'd shake her head.
"I don't think that's the case Sir, Super mega's are.. well.. They're something else, your marks are just fine."
Reassurance of her Boss? or perhaps a subtle understanding that she was still within his power whenever the mark was perfectly active. She'd raise her brows further and let out a surprised gasp when the paper went from being a simple charred piece to.. well an actual piece of paper with information on it. Her brows shot up and a grin spread across her face as the description and general range of the Great Moving Library was now plain in her sight.
Deep within the real K stiffened and stared at the information in front of her. The location, the description and everything else on that sheet was damning. She felt her heart drop and silence turned it's head to look at her with a sadness in their eyes that the renamon could easily understand
"I didn't even know you could do that sir! That's amazing!"
She shifted a little bit, beaming at the Wisemon; respect easily found in her eyes. Then he spoke; causing the renamon considerable pause; she'd dip her head in a nod and if allowed would take the piece of paper to read it over more firmly.
"...From what I can remember, I've been through most of the areas this thing passes through. Not.. recently mind you but I know of where some of these places are at. With him not knowing about you, it'd behoove me to simply continue to call you my employer until you decide to reveal yourself to them in some fashion or another if that's your desire."
She'd turn her gaze to the wisemon; that smile still there widening into a wolfish almost diabolical grin.
"With this you will have that Calumon Sir, I don't know who else is in the group he's in; but I doubt they're terribly experienced in comparison to a Former demonlord and whatever Tawna is."
The renamon looked rather contemplative, shifting slightly so that she was leaning against the wisemon.
"How do you want me to go about this sir? If most organizations are anything to go by Many of them could prove useful in scope of resources or research."

"Oh, you flatter me, dear Renamon. But just like you, I could always stand to improve!"
Sure, Wisemon was frustrated by the mistake, but everything pieced out together in the end anyway. Unfortunately, those at the Library would have a good week head start to prepare for them - heck, one might even try to think to hide the Calumon elsewhere! Of course, he had plans for such contingencies, none of which had quite come up as of yet. He smirked as K peered upon that paper, easily handing it over to his subordinate.
His hands ran through her fur, down her back, as she pieced together the information. "Mm, you understand quite well. Your target does not need to know about my existence at all - it won't become necessary unless they fall under my domain." The fox's newfound confidence brimmed brightly through the room, even if the 'inner' residents of K's mind were far from pleased about this turn of events.
The fox already seemed aware of the threats at hand. It was just a matter of how to go about it: scratching K's neck and the back of his head, the Wisemon considered his options:
"Mm, true. They could prove invaluable, the lot of them - but just loading them is risky, and its not like you can 'lift' them all out of there on your own. Hold still for a moment..."
The Wisemon reached once more into his cloak, and pulled out a tome, similar to the one strapped around his side. He set it at K's side, wrapping one strap across her opposite shoulder, and another around her waist, to keep the tome secure around her right waist. "There we are... when the time comes, you'll wear that. The straps will move naturally with your different forms: should you get the upper hand on someone, you can pull them right into the pages of that book."
That said? "Remember, anyone else is secondary. The capture of the Calumon is your top priority. Though I must say, there is one that won't really make a good servant at all, who likes to stick his head where it doesn't belong..."
Surely the fox knew exactly what the wizard meant. "If you catch that cat, he's yours. Load him on sight, or pull him into the book and have a meal at your leisure."

"Of course sir!"
The renamon understood the wisemon's frustration; why it had gone like this and what they could do about it. Thankfully everything ended up working out for them and the renamon was left with more of a job than before. In fact she had quite the idea already for how to do this. The renamon shifted and let out a somewhat pleased sigh as she felt those hands run through her fur and down her back.
"It.. only makes Sense sir! It is a very important piece of information that if they had would only make it more difficult for you and I."
'K' beamed slightly and let out another pleased sound before shifting slightly to look at her employer. So they could prove valuable to him but they weren't priorities? She'd rub her muzzle thoughtfully at the idea of having to carry the lot of them out; it wouldn't really work for her would it? She'd furrow her brow a bit and nod.
"True sir. It'd be difficult to carry them all."
She'd blink in surprise as another tome surfaced, now being strapped around her side. She'd inspect the tome curiously and look up at her employer before gingerly trailing a finger along the bindings of the tome.
"That's perfect sir, if I get the chance then I will. But considering that I don't know how many of them there are I'll have to be careful unless they all are bunched up."
She'd nod firmly at the next several lines. That the calumon was her top priority; if she was to retrive them first she would then have to make due with what she had and leave. No reason to exhaust herself fighting against those that she didn't need to.
"If I capture them first, then it'll be a game of how to get away."
The renamon's ears flicked and her wolfish grin returned. She wanted to taste that cats data; why bother pulling him into the book.. unless she could learn the secrets hidden in a prior demonlord. Her eyes flashed dangerously and she'd grin further.
"If I may be so bold sir, putting him in the book first and learning about his experience, history and powers might lend me some insight to a former Demonlord. Which might give me an edge on the rest of his gang for future engagements as they would absolutely want to stop me from doing anything. I'll load him after I learn everything about this dear 'husband' of hers."
The renamon sighed a bit and looked at the icewall with a slight frown.
"Realistically sir, I think that the best choice is to grab the Calumon, then the cat and then leave at the most extremes. Then as I go, maybe pick off the others as they spread themselves out. Might be easier that way... for future missions or such Sir. If you'll allow it of course."

It seemed that even Wisemon's earlier suggestions to her were starting to pay off in spades: anything that was of benefit to the wizard was good for her, as well. It would have been so easy to simply accept the orders and act, but the Renamon took it further, even offering other suggestions, praise, and even a dialogue of the plan.
Setting that tome right into place, he gave a nod. "Of course, but also consider it an act of self-defense. The group may be trying to protect the Calumon... but its hard to say what they'll be willing to trade for the safety of a trusted friend. You have more options here than what may be obvious." Teasing that thought into the Renamon's head. But, of course, that only mattered if she didn't simply just sneak up and find the Calumon first.
What point would there be to 'trading' afterwards? Perhaps most surprising, however, was K's plan with the cat, with Mikemon, one that made the Wisemon grin ear to ear, and give his subordinate a full hug! "Oh, you know me so well! Every single bit of his dark secrets will be laid out before me as written words on my tome... and his data will flow into yours quite nicely. The 'wife' will never have to be without her husband, after all."
Teasing right back, and hearing her down-to-earth-plan, the Wisemon gave a nod. "So long as the Calumon is returned to me, you can hunt those scattered out as you wish. That said..." He reached down, examining the Renamon's bloodied, dulled claws. "Further motion from here will be suspect. I merely ask that you remain here until these wounds heal over. I will pick you up in say... twelve hours? Rest yourself well - should you succeed, you'll be well taken care of, my dear."

The renamon shifted a little bit, blinking questioningly at her employer. That she should consider the act of self defense in this regard. She'd mull it over and agree with him on the fact that they would indeed be acting to protect the Calumon. Perhaps if she was able to catch a few of them she could trade them for the Calumon? She grinned a little bit at the idea of trading a tome with a few of their members in it for the Calumon only for them to find out later they couldn't release them without destroying the book.
"I'll have to consider as many options as I can then Sir!"
The renamon's eyes widened and her body stiffened sharply when the wisemon gave her a hug. She simply was shocked by the action and it took her a full two or three seconds to return it in some fashion or another.
"It rings nicely doesn't it Sir?"
The renamon let out a soft chuckle and tilted her head slightly; she'd look down at her hands and frown slightly. He was right in that regard; she should focus on the calumon first. Everything else would be secondary; so it was likely she would be fighting an uphill battle.
"Very well sir, I'll heal myself up a bit and see if I can rest up in the home that's on the mountain."
She'd dip her head in a nod and shift to look up towards the home. She had a lot on her plate. If the wisemon didn't have anything more for her she'd of course give him a deep bow before starting to head towards it. Though after two or three steps the renamon froze and a static voice emerged from her lips.
"...Stronger than you think Wretch... Once these marks come off I'll find and Kill you... and if I have to load you to stop you from coming back so be it..."
The renamon shook her head after a few moments, looking somewhat dazed before going towards the home....

"Oh, I have to admit that's a fabulous ring, dear Renamon." With a pleased grin, the sorcerer would soon relax his grip from the Renamon - and at this point, their plan was set.
The fox would spend the next several hours getting herself back to full condition, trapped inside this icy mausoleum. Once the Wisemon would return to her - a good eight days after her failed attempt in Whitewater - she'd be able to start her mission. The materials were left for the Renamon to review, Wisemon himself giving her a small scratch on the back.
"Relax well, and stress not. Your freedom is assured - this type of prison cannot halt my movement." At that point, he was about to head out, to prepare for a few other things on his end - but the 'real' K perked through, and tried to get in one last word. The threat, however, fell on deaf ears, the Wisemon giving a dark laugh.
"You only poke through now because my subordinate is tired, Jesmon's Blessed. But worry not - once she succeeds, you'll be little more than a well-taken-care-of-pup. Maybe another mark or two will see to that."
That comment, of course, was directed right to that rebellious spirit - one that the 'present' K already seemed aware existed. With a simple wave, the Wisemon would once more vanish into his shadow.
Right now? It was only a matter of time...

The renamon was fairly pleased with the fact that the other seemed to think so highly of her even though she had failed him. It was a strange frustration for her; as she wanted to do nothingg more than serve him properly and make sure that this mission succeeded. So hopefully she could find some stuff to eat to help replenish her energy stores as well. At the scratch on her back the renamon shuddered a little bit; rather happy that she was getting this sort of attention.
"Of course sir! I have no reason to doubt that."
The dark laugh and response to the 'real' K didn't fall on deaf ears; in fact the current K even paused at what he said. The head turned slowly and there was a moment where the renamon's fur took that tint of white again. Hatred pure and unbridled were in those normally soft eyes.
"...Another mark or two won't stop me; All I need is but a single moment to do what I need to..."
The renamon shuddered again and saw her boss leave before giving a soft sigh. She really did need to rest if the renamon could pull that much control away at this point. With a grunt she'd tread towards her home; ready to rest and feed.
