How long had he been wandering? How long had it even been since his reconfiguration? Sterling had these thoughts racing in his head from time to time, but they wouldn't get in the way of his travels. Ever since reaching the Rookie level and setting out from the Village of Beginnings, Sterling had just decided to go wherever the wind took him. It was certainly a step up from his previous life, bound to service for the DWR. Sure, he had made some good friends in his time there, but that was a long time ago. They had all presumably died in a heroic last stand. Sterling didn't know what became of any of them after that. Perhaps a few of them were still out there?
As he walked into the Valley of Dragons, the memory of his last stand came flooding back to Sterling. He took out his old medal and stared at it quizzically as he walked, slowly losing his attention to the surroundings.

It was irritating really; he had been maybe walking for a couple days now and he hadn't made as much headway as he wanted. It was to the point of where he managed to make it to dragon valley but that was far off from his true destination. No the destination he had in mind was much further and much deeper than any simple crevice that yawned with dragons or their brethren.
Ever since his own memories of the 7/71st returned the Agumon-x hadn't a clue what to do with himself. It split his purpose; it split his drive his desires and wants. It made it hard for him to serve the Sovereigns in all ways and bring the light of their guidance to others. His violent nature made it difficult for him to pick properly; on one half he was able to weed out those that the light of the digital world shouldn't touch.
But on the other he had a duty to protect those in need. It was a dreadful desire honestly; something that was part of the reason why he died in the first place. It was overwhelming in theory and absolutely frustrating in practice.
So much so he didn't even notice when bumped into the other rookie that was wandering around this place. It took him a few moments to realize what he had done; and realizing his error he attempt to apologize.
"Erm.. Sorry about that I didn't see you there..."
While his tone was apologetic it certainly didn't reach his face...

Sterling's rare lack of focus was quick to get him in trouble, as he bumped into something fairly large. He stumbled a bit, and reflexively took a fighting stance. Without saying anything, his reflexes got the better of him as he shot off a round of Lightning Fur. The electrified quills shot out and would likely strike and annoy the unknown entity. Once Sterling got a good look at the creature he had instinctually attacked, he gulped a bit. This Agumon looked like he was halfway between Digivolving into a Greymon, and looked almost as big. He absolutely towered over the smaller Erismon.
Well, Sterling's little stunt probably annoyed this Agumon, so there was probably no choice but to prepare for a fight. The little hedgehog got his game face on the best he could and prepared for a tough battle.

To say that Vaughan was surprised when the other not only didn't react to his apology they immediately took a fighting stance after stumbling. The agumon-x blinked rapidly and found a round of these electrified quills striking him. He wasn't fast per say but he was certainly tough. The agumon-x blinked a few times and reached out to grab one of the quills, looking to pull it out of his Iron hide.
He'd narrow his eyes at the digimon in front of him. It was a smaller digimon, about... three or so feet tall at best? A bipedal animal of some form that reminded him of a hedgehog of sorts. Mixed with a porcupine and some sort of electrical generator. With a grunt of irritation he'd pull back his 'free' claw and make a swing at the other digimon. Followed by another... and the third Explosive swing.
The explosion radius wasn't huge or anything and wasn't really worth noting but if the other dodged it all three of those attacks would go up in smoke! If the other didn't want to accept his apology he didn't have to, but did they really need to fight?
"So be it then... A duel!"

Sterling had acted on reflex and instinct. He hadn't intended to hurt this Agumon, but now it seemed the two were fated to fight. The enemy swung with his giant claws at Sterling, but the hedgehog was ready for something like this. "Overclock!"
Sparks began to fly from Sterling's muscles, and he zipped out of the way of the attacks much quicker than both he and his opponent would have expected. This new ability of Sterling's was still very much in development, but he had to risk it to avoid those scary claws!
As Sterling sidestepped, he quickly decided on his counterattack. "Kenzan Dive!" He quickly curled up into a ball and shot through the air towards his opponent like a rocket. With the added boost from his new Overclock ability, it would be difficult to get out of the way of this move, but not impossible. If not dodged, however, the impact could be enough to at least stagger the giant dino.
Sterling uses Overclock to dodge Vaughan's Crack-Crack-Boom. Overclock: Erismon charges the muscles in his body with lightning, increasing his speed. At this level, he can increase his speed for three turns, earning him a 25% increase in speed with one post of cooldown afterwards.
Sterling attacks with Kenzan Dive. Kenzan Dive: Erismon curls himself up into a ball to charge into an opponent at breakneck speeds. While curled up in the ball, Erismon gains a small 10% boost to defense. In exchange, the accuracy of this move is rather low while Erismon is in a ball.
