The Trailmon's journey from Shibuya's Train Terminal towards the unknown destination™ almost seemed to happen in a flash. The darkness that enveloped the train was decidedly scary, something that prompted Ooi to close her eyes and reach to Amelie's and Tsukiko's hands, squeezing them tightly for support. However, as soon as the darkness left and was replaced by the bright white light corresponding to the great outdoors of Network Plains, the taller teenager smiled. "Seems like we're almost there! You should look at this, by the way; the view is amazing."Undoubtedly, the vast, green plains were stuff that would take anyone's breath away. The many digimons running wildly in them just added even more beauty to that panorama... except for the occasional Numemon, that was. Eventually, the Trailmon came to a stop in a nondescript point in the middle of the plains, its door opening alongside the whistle of "Last stop!"Amelie seemed puzzled for a second. "But... I thought this one went to Terminus.""I said, last stop!"Nodding in acceptance, she got out of the train, Ooi following shortly after. "Well... I hope you're ready to hike for a bit." She seemed to be more than a bit embarrassed at the development. "Sorry. We shouldn't be very far." Cho Sato

Tsukiko could not believe it. She was riding inside a living train! It was like some weird manga or something! Sitting next to her new friends, she slightly leans on Ooi. So much has gone on that it was hard for her brain to process it.
As the Trailmon travels through the darkness, Ooi grasps at Tsukiko's hand. She clasps it in return. "Don't worry," she says much more calmly than she feels. "There's no need to fear the darkness. Look at me, after all. Just as much good hides in the darkness as bad, and just as much good lives in the darkness as it does in the light."
When darkness transitions to light, the wonders of the Digital World are revealed. Tsukiko's calm, cool persona once again falls away as she gasps loudly, staring out the window. Beautiful, natural yet unnatural plains... creatures beyond anything on Earth... it truly was an alien world, wasn't it? "Oh my gosh... oh my gosh! This is...how is this... how does... how does any of this exist? I mean... I had some clue that it did, but being here is another thing entirely!"
It was time to disembark, despite not being where they thought they would end. "Oh... did I get on the wrong train," she asks half-disappointed, half still in shock. "I'm sorry, train friend. But thank you for taking me this far!" A little hike wouldn't hurt Tsukiko, and besides, it gave her more time to look around at the plains.

Ooi had to admit, this having company in the face of a decidedly alien situation made it feel... not so bad. "I know, it's just that I've kinda been... afraid of the darkness for some time. Sorry."
It was a bit of a childish fear, but it was still as real as it came. However, her expression was quickly replaced by a smile as soon as the panorama changed into the breathtaking, yet slightly weird scene in front of them. It was obvious that they weren't on planet Earth anymore.
While she stared, eyes wide at the new panorama, Amelie just smiled a bit. "I have no idea how it exists, but it just... does. Kinda pretty, isn't it?"
Yet, the trip ended sooner than expected, and the three girls found themselves recurring to the old heel-toe express in order to get to... Terminus, she guessed? The brunette began to lead the way while gesturing both her friends to follow.
"So... take whatever prompted you to the Train Terminal has shut up? Or... does she want for you to go somewhere in particular? Spirits can be a headache at times, I swear."
Her own experience was a pretty clear example.

Tsukiko continues to hold Ooi's hand to keep her calm. "Don't worry," she says soothingly, "You have us two. We'll be out of the dark soon. Just hang in there..."
Sure enough, they were. And once they were out, they all saw the beauty of the Network Plains. It was, as Amelie puts it, 'kinda pretty'. "I was thinking the Digital World would be... well... not this. I wasn't thinking anything like this. Maybe all zeroes and ones, or wire frames, or old blocky graphics or something. But this is just... breathtaking. It is beautiful, amazing... inspirational. I could find my muse here. And a picnic here would be nice some day." Tsukiko looks up at the sky and hmms. "Is there a night time, with a moon and constellations? It would be a...er..." She pauses for a second, softly blushing. "A romantic spot. I-I could write some beautiful music inspired by it even more, and... if I ever find a romantic partner... that picnic sounds even better."
It was wonderful to look at. But walking it? Tsukiko is still unsure as of yet. Perhaps it will be a quick peaceful walk. "I do not know where to go from here. But my Spirit is silent, so maybe it does not matter."

A somewhat nod was the only response Ooi was able to muster, at least for now. It was true that she seemed to be a bit more at ease, but fear didn't vanish so easily. It was an insidious feeling, capable of even breaking the bravest person.
Ahem. At least their trip had gone without much of a hitch, Amy's little mistake notwithstanding. In any case, the panorama in front of them was nothing less than amazing. So far that Tsukiko was already exposing what Ooi had defined as a 'maiden's heart'. And that made her gush, quite understandably.
"Wouldn't that be amazing? A picnic with your loved one under the moonlight. You definitely have good taste, Tsukiko-chan; in fact, I hope you won't be too offended if I borrow some of your ideas!"
She winked at her co-conspirator, even if, for one, Amelie seemed completely oblivious to the obvious advance, instead focusing on Tsukiko's remarks. "Well. Those glitchy zero-ones areas do exist, but they're the exception rather than the norm; there are some differences between how this world and the Human World work, but you'll probably get used to it soon. Like, meat apples existing or digimon being able to cultivate... strange things."
Given they weren't being guided anymore, at least taking their time to stroll the place would be nice, the brunette thought. Maybe get to know themselves a little more? "So, uh, Tsukiko... have you evolved for the first time already? And... do you know what your 'spirit element' is?"
Maybe she was going too quickly, and the poor girl didn't have an idea of what she was talking about. Just like the Ooi currently; gazing at her as if she had just spouted some kind of gibberish.

While Tsukiko was unable to completely remove Ooi's fear, she was still here for her, and felt some of her new friend's fear subside. Luckily, the trip through the darkness did not last very long, and the light was there to show off the beauty of the Digital World.
Tsukiko was happy to share that beauty with Ooi, especially since she reacts with awe rather than fear. It was a good thing she came with, after all. "Yeah... very romantic. That...um.... so that is now a dream of mine. Thank you. And go ahead and steal that idea~"
There were so many fascinating ideas being thrown Tsukiko's way. Zones that really were zeroes and ones? Meat apples? "Wow... this really is a completely new world isn't it? It is hard to believe it when told, but hard not to believe when the evidence is right in front of you."
Elements? Evolved? There was more to turning into a bird-bat with built-in speakers than Tsukiko thought. "I have... evolved, yes. I think I remember that term, and I definitely transformed into a Digimon, but not yet sure of my... element? My Spirit is trying to tell me something, but I'm not sure what. Something about waves... but I don't have any water abilities."

A smile instantly graced Ooi's face. Tsukiko and she were really alike in a sense, weren't they? At least they held their notions of romance and similar ideals regarding how to perceive it.
"I hope that one day you can find somebody who can share that moment and the two of you can enjoy it together. Watch the stars shining together, then hold hands..."
Yup, she was gushing at the moment. That was probably the maximum expression of a maiden's heart. In a sense, it was what made her not mind most of the weirdness currently going on around her. Meanwhile, Amelie just tried to make everything more... easy to understand for Tsukiko.
"Yeah... some stuff is wildly different from our world, even though the layout can be similar at times. It takes some time to get used to, even though I think you're doing pretty well." Mentoring another young spirit user was a role she was going to take seriously, though. For a second, Amy adopted a thoughtful expression before answering.
"Well, those are all answers you'll get sooner or later, sorry if I went on a tangent. For now, what do you think of that experience? Did you enjoy it, or was it... weird? If you could recount it, I'd be grateful."
Regarding waves, it could be something on the more conceptional level, maybe? Like sound, or light maybe? Both were highly probable.

Sharing the beautiful rolling plains of the Digital World with her lover on a starlit night... Tsukiko could only hope and wish for that. "Someday, maybe..." she sighs wistfully while blushing and starry-eyed at the thought "Someday..."
Wait... how was she thinking of romance at a time like this? Ooi must have really gotten to her with her infectious attitude. This was an alien world! Who knows how different or same things are here?
Amelie, apparently did. "Sounds like you have been here a lot," Tsukiko remarks. "Perhaps you could explain things as they come?" Just how alien this world could be was finally getting to her. She plays and messes with the folds and frills of her dress nervously. "This... is very new to me and coming... very fast. Like... how I got to a new world by train, even if it is a living train."
What was it like to transform? "Well..." Tsukiko ponders, poking a dimple into her chin. "It was in the middle of a battle, so there was lots of adrenaline. Also, my heart screamed as I transformed... but in a good way. It was as if all my emotions were turned into raw power. It felt amazing... even if I made a fool of myself as I tried to fly and didn't do very well."

This was probably worthy of a soap opera, but Ooi's mind was devoid of any doubts about it. Holding Yukiko's hands in hers, she stared at her eyes with a determined, yet kind expression.
"That day will be sooner than what you believe, Tsukiko-chan." It was obvious that she meant every word that she said. "There are few forces in this world stronger than a maiden's heart, and yours shines very brightly. It's just a matter of time before somebody notices the beauty of that light and takes interest in you, you know? I just hope that that person's heart shines as brightly as yours."
Unclasping her hands, the raven-haired teenager couldn't but look aside and blush a bit. That had been a bit a brash, hadn't it? Even if it was just like her. Just like Ooi...
Amy cleared her throat, trying to divert the attention to the topics that really mattered.
"Yup! I've been having a couple of adventures in this place, and I kinda think I know it somewhat; I can definitely explain most things as they come, even though we probably won't see much on our way to Terminus." She made a small pause, before continuing. "Using a Trailmon is probably gonna be like a second nature to you with time. They're pretty much like real world trains, except that they have a mind on their own."
So, Tsukiko's spirit was something that could fly, and was related to waves somehow. That was interesting. "How did you look? I may have seen it before, maybe. Or maybe not."
Rookie-level winged beings weren't super common, but who knew. There were many species that Amy didn't know about. Maybe her appearance could unveil a bit about Tsukiko's spirit element?

Ooi is really getting to Tsukiko and making her aware of her 'maiden's heart'. Hands clasped with Ooi's, she smiles and hangs on her every word. "Thank you... I hope so too. You're a beacon of light from your own heart, yourself. You've really inspired me in ways I could not hope to explain or repay, but I will do my best to pay you back for your motivation, muse, and kindness you have given me. Hopefully our selfie and my autograph are a good start?"
Amelie is also getting to Tsukiko in an inspirational way, but on the Digimon front. She seems like she knows exactly what she's doing, Tsukiko thinks appreciatively. I must be in good hands.
"What kind of adventures," Tsukiko asks her mentoring friend. "This place is full of adventures then? Is it dangerous? Should I be on guard? Is it safe for Ooi to be here...?"
Tsukiko takes a look back to when she first transformed... and draws a couple blanks. "Er... I was... some kind of bird... or bird-bat thing? It is a bit hazy.... and I have a feeling I'll learn my spirit element in time."

For once in her life, Ooi's words about the so-called 'Maiden's Heart' rang true on somebody's mind? This was as strange as it came, since they usually were dismissed as random gibberish a teenager with an over-imaginative mind spouted at random intervals. Yet... that didn't make this occasion any less gratifying.
"As long as you treasure your beliefs, that's probably enough to thank me." Being a first-timer, she was somewhat embarrassed, but in a good way! "It's not easy to have unyielding beliefs in one's ideals, but I think that you're just that kind of person, Tsukiko-chan! A bright star in the making, if I've seen them."
In her stead, Amelie wasn't one to indulge in over sentimental things, usually being a more straightforward person, but even then... she couldn't but feel slightly moved at the tender moment the other two girls were sharing. That was what true friendship looked like, didn't it? Quite a sight to behold; yet, she was still in the role of teacher.
Her own adventures? They had been quite a bit, hadn't they? The flurry of questions wasn't unexpected, and she made her best to answer them one by one. "It is full of adventures if you want to have them; as a simple rule of thumb, the nearer you are to a city, the fewer chances of dangerous things happening. We're really near Terminus; the biggest city in the Digital World and probably the pinnacle of civilization in this world. Excluding the city itself, this probably is as safe as this world can get." Amy made a brief pause, a small smile pulling at the corner of her lips. "Don't worry about your safety nor Ooi's; I won't let anything bad happen to either of you; I'll take care of anything that might threaten any of you." Tsukiko seemed to be a bit worried at the moment, so Amy would expect at least some relief coming from her impromptu protegé before going through the actual details of her adventures thus far.
Her small speech had another effect, however; for a second, the aforementioned raven-haired teenager froze in her place, blushing intensely at those words. Was that how... how love truly felt like? No way for her to know.
Apparently, Tsukiko's own spirit element would be shrouded in mystery, for the time being, that was nice. "That's fair. Trust your spirits; chances are that they know what they are doing. I guess that one can say they work in mysterious ways."
That undoubtedly, they did.

A bright star in the making? With a maiden's heart? With undying beliefs? Tsukiko was touched, grateful, thankful, and just happy. Ooi was the boost she needed in this uncertain time. "Thank you, Ooi," Tsukiko replies, giving her another hug. "That means a lot to me. You have no idea."
Friendship and happiness are things Cho knows a lot about, and thus even the spooky mysterious Tsukiko does. But the Digital World? She had no clue about anything here. Luckily, Amelie does. "So... adventures are optional," Tsukiko asks flatly. "Are you sure? Okay. Good. I'm not sure I'm ready for adventures, so... yeah, I'll stick close to town, and with you."
Amelie claiming to be able to protect all three of them causes Tsukiko to raise her eyebrow. "You're really that strong? Perhaps it was fate, or my Spirit's will, that I ran into you after all. I feel much safer now though, so thank you very much for your kindness."
She feels she can trust Ooi and Amelie, but trusting her Spirit? "...I'll try."

How had they become friends so quickly? That, undoubtedly, was a mystery to Point. Usually, the default reaction somebody got from her was ‘annoying’, 'silly’ and things like that. Tsukiko had been like an oasis amid the aridest of deserts; and for that, she was the one who would be forever thankful.
Being able to change somebody's views on themselves at such a level was moving; so much, in fact, that her eyes seemed to water down a bit at that. The teenager wiped them right away, and finally smiled.
“Y-You are very welcome, Tsukiko-chan.”
That had been a pretty heartwarming emotional rollercoaster, Amelie had to say; even if she had just been a silent witness of what had ensued, that made it no less moving. However, somebody had to maintain an air or calm and serenity, right? Considering she was pretty much the de facto warden of the group, it was more or less her obligation to remain alert at all times. No matter what.
The brunette nodded slightly, then kept answering the various questions asked. “To be completely honest, the Digital World can a probably will surprise you down the line no matter what you do, but those surprised should be of the nonlethal variety, and few and far between as long as you stick to the cities. At least that had been my experience with them.” Of course, what Tsukiko did with that information was up to her; adventuring or not, her decisions were hers.
Amelie couldn't help but blush a bit as soon as her 'strength’ was complimented; maybe she had bragged a bit? It wasn't like the brunette hadn't meant every word she had said, however. "I mean." This was going to be slightly awkward, wasn't it? "I think it's obvious I'm not the strongest person around, but... I can handle myself, I think. At least I've been able to thus far."
It wasn't the most convincing argument, but at least it'd hopefully convey that Amy had some experience under her belt. "You're welcome, though."
Had that phrase about trusting spirits been a faux pas, overall? Maybe some further explanation was in order. "I mean, you're right." She added right away. "Some spirits have less than noble intentions, but I think that their survival is their highest priority so... I'd trust them in regards to things that'd help them too, siiince I kinda doubt they wouldn't have at least some selfish motivations. Who doesn't have them, after all."
Hopefully, this wouldn't muddle the conversation too much. In any case, it seemed that they were somewhat closer to Terminus! Amy could see something at the distance, even if she wasn't sure if it was the outline of the city or something else.

The tender, warm, happy moment between Tsukiko and Ooi would be something the aspiring pop idol would never forget. However, even the Power of FriendshipTM could only distract her for so long. Soon the realities of being given power she could not understand, transported to a world she never knew existed, and everything she thought she knew turning out wrong, hit her like a ton of bricks. Luckily, this is where Amelie came in.
The Digital World would surprise Tsukiko? That one was a no-brainer. It was already surprising her! At least Amelie reassures her about the safety. "Good," she says, relieved at her mentor's words. "I would hate to have to fight my way from store to store, and wrestle insurmountable odds just to see if there's a vacancy at an inn."
Tsukiko grins lightly when Amelie tries to be modest about her strength. "Don't be shy, Amelie. It is obvious that your strength is one of the things your girlfriend is attracted to, right Ooi?" She chuckles softly, then sighs. "Sorry... humor is a way I cope when my limited human brain cannot comprehend the impossible."
Amelie's logic about Spirits was sound. "True," Tsukiko admits, "I doubt the Spirit would like to have to search for a new host - if it even could. I'm just worried about how vague the advice - or lack thereof - happens to be. But..."
What was that up ahead? A city? Or something else? Tsukiko squints, trying to make out the details. "Hey, it looks like we're almost there?"

At least Tsukiko was taking this well. And Ooi too, now that Amelie thought about it; in hindsight, that had been quite lucky on her stead, considering that she could get a pair of very distraught or upset girls panicking over what was happening. Instead, everyone seemed to be more or less in tune with what was happening.
She sighed in relief, thankful for those small boons. Then waved dismissively, a bit of an apologetic smile on her face. "Oh, don't worry. Cities are as civilized as Human World cities. While the chances you have of finding rather... unpleasant individuals is very real, most of the people just tend to carry out their business without minding others."
Just like you'd expect from a place like Tokyo, honestly! Cho would be familiar with that much at least. And, while it was true that she had some experience under her belt, her new friend's remarks were definitely pushing her buttons in the right way; truth was that Amelie herself was kinda bad at accepting flattery. The obvious results were her suddenly stammering mid-speech, and blushing somewhat intensely as Ooi just stared, nodded and giggled.
"I said that's she's not my girlfriend." She murmured, regaining her composture little by little. "And it's fine. This world can be full of surprises, and you're taking it extremely well, I gotta say."
It was true that spirits could be kinda malicious when they wanted to be, but that was something that may or may not happen. "If anything, try to think about things thoroughly every time they communicate. Maybe they're still regaining strength if you're a newbie, or maybe they aren't the talkative type; both are equally possible. The best piece of advice I can give you is to... not be rash, I guess."
As they drew closer, that seemed to be it. Yuuup! The brunette nodded at Tsukiko's words as she pointed at the distance. "That's Terminus! We're should be getting there soon."
