Aylin flinched a bit at Syre's sudden shouting, but she let it go as the concerns were legitimate. Hopefully it wouldn't hamper teamwork from here on out. Though Syre's observation that some of the tablets were on the floor bothered her as well "Maybe they were interchanged on the pedestals depending on the lesson or topic...? The only other thing I can think of isn't...good." she muttered.
Her spirits were brought back up by Jazz's reaction to seeing Escamon. Aylin had to admit, the Spirit User's form had this really awesome design to it, but she was focused on getting things written down for later. This group wouldn't be able to safely transport all of these tablets, so she'll map out how they got here and get a retrieval team to pick everything up later. She took notes on some items here and made rough sketches of the maps.
Escamon's attempt at reasoning with Syre made sense in a way, but either approach could have ended poorly if there wasn't some kind of catch with the puzzle. Either way, Aylin turned her attention to the Renamon "Huh? My notes? Sure, take a look." It was clear she spent a couple of pages writing excited reactions to what they all went through, but there were also passages that were clear and professional in regards to the puzzle structure, the room layouts, and where these possible maps might lead them.
Still, something bothered her "Though if some of these tablets are on the ground instead of their proper place...what if someone was here before us sifting through what might be valuable...? But the puzzles were still unsolved..." she mused.
"That's because I put them back when I was done, like a good guy, yeah?" a booming voice echoed from behind the group. A large Digimon lumbered into the chamber, its large metallic left arm hissing with energy. "These things look awful valuable, yeah? I know a few guys who would love to pay top bit for these things. So if you guys want to keep your skulls intact you best get out now, yeah?"
Aylin scowled "These are meant to be studied and preserved, not sold to the highest bidder on some black market! Who do you think you are?" She actually sounded rather serious and angry, something rare for the little Lunamon.
"Sorry, miss. Torin the Minotarumon at your service, yeah?" despite his verbal tic and hulking appearance, he seemed to at least be civil "Look, I already promised these old tablets to an employer, yeah? Bad things'll happen if I don't get them back. Though...if you wanna tussle, I won't say no, yeah?" he pounded his fist into his metallic arm and rolled his shoulders. "It'd be a shame if something happened to this room, yeah?" he slammed his metal arm into a nearby pillar and the room seemed to shake "Seriously, give it up, yeah? Even if you guys got out, the tablets'll be long gone."
Aylin flinched "E-everyone...you need to keep his attention and keep him from trying to damage the room. I don't know what he's capable of but with someone that big I wouldn't group up around him...but don't leave him to his own devices either...please, stop him!" she said.
Torin bellowed out a laugh "Oh, is that how it's gonna be? Alright, don't say I didn't warn you, yeah?"
-----------
Combat Start! Prevent Torin from causing damage to the room. He has two attacks that will do so if give the chance, so find ways to work together and keep him occupied! Here is a hint to get the battle started in the form of Torin's passive
Short Attention: Will quickly begin ignoring a threat to go back to what he was doing if not attacked by a cooldown the previous turn.
Torin's Health: 18/18. Champion level attacks deal 1 point of damage if they don't have a cooldown. Rookie attacks deal 1/3 a point of damage.
Damage from cooldowns deal extra damage. Champion cooldowns deal 2 points of damage, and Rookie Cooldowns deal a full point of damage.
Structural Integrity: 7/7. If the room is reduced to 0, the room collapses and the mission will be considered a failure. Work together to prevent this from happening!

Nope, nope, this was not the time for Syre to get wrapped up in a debate with the Escamon. The champion level was wrong, of course - at least from her perspective - but there simply wasn't a point to dwelling on the subject. Rather, she just left it with a simple comment: "Just... watch yourself, alright?"
It was clear she was done on that front, relatively level as she moved into the next room. As Lunamon continued to observe the tablets, taking notes, Syre looked at a few on her own - seeing if she could make any sense of them herself. The language was a bit archaic, but this one seemed to deal with the set-up for the 'trap' in the previous room. Interesting, but probably of little 'historical' relevance.
Soon enough, the source of the disturbance made itself known: a loud, huffy Minotaurmon, already preparing his cannon for some sort of attack. Despite that... honestly, maybe just from her own naive perspective, what the Minotaurmon was saying was almost reasonable - apart from the point where he said that he wanted to cave the room in. Aylin, at the start, tried to get their attention on a fight - and yes, that was what they were hired to do.
Syre, however, had a question of her own. Used to Tawna, of all people, a haughty champion bull wasn't enough to unnerve her! "Um, before we get to that... what employer are you talking about?" Syre's tone was honestly curious, completely level and away from Aylin's own. If, for example, the Minotaurmon could provide credible evidence that he was from a museum or research group, she might try and convince Aylin to help him rather than risk these artifacts remaining in such a damp home!
"I mean. Just so everything's out in the open and all. Though if you say its a 'private buyer' we're going to have to intervene..."

- No… -Katherine’s voice was heard behind Syre, as she walked slowly upfront. –It’s unforgiveable…-The girl added, looking firmly at the giant digimon and clenching her fists. –Being willing to destroy such a valuable and beautiful place, full of ancient information that can provide so much knowledge… -Jazz was walking just next to her, and they both stopped once they were next to Aylin and Syre. –I’m sorry, but I’m not negotiating with someone willing to destroy a place like this, I don’t care for his reasons. –Jazz took a fighting stance, agreeing completely with her tamer, as usually, on these types of matters. –Jazz! We need to preserve this room, no matter what, just remember that. –She said in a low tone. Jazz nodded and immediately began running around the creature, as fast as she could. Katherine love and passion for knowledge had been transferred to Jazz. It was probably a sudden move, maybe the situation could be settled by speaking to the monster, but Katherine was just angry at seeing how he didn’t care to destroy such a valuable place in terms of information, because of its own interests. B A T T L E: M i s s i o n G r o u p VS T o r i n: T h e M i n o t a u r m o nJazz knew what the plan was: Distract Minotaurmon before he could deal serious damages to these structures, and of course, defeat him in the process; so using a technique that could effectively slow the beast’s attacks or freeze him in place before he could reach something valuable to destroy it, would probably be the way to go. -BLAZING ICE!!!!
(Jazz spits shots of super cooled air as she runs around the opponent, to maximize the effect. For the next turn, the opponent can attack, but cannot escape, dodge or move around the stage. Full damage on Rookies and below, -20% damage on Champions (no freezing) and no effect on Ultimates or Megas. 3 post cooldown.)
The bunny knew, based on previous experiences, that this attack would probably not be strong enough to freeze Minotaurmon, but at least it would be good enough to take his attention off from the structure, as Katherine said, preserving this place was the top priority.

Escamon swiftly turned around, hearing the newcomer stomp in. He remained as stoic as ever, as the exchange continued, it seems debating had gone nowhere, and it upset him that fighting seemed to be the only compromise that was necessary, but that didn't change the fact that his employer gave an order, to which he simply crouched down, preparing his crusher arm. "Ok." Was all he said, in response to Aylin's panicked command. As rude as this bull was being, Chaze understood his point of view, as the two were in quite similar positions, both being hired for a job, and neither willing to give up their own role on their respective job.
The two had a job to do, and Escamon decided on his course of action immediately, the very first priority came from targeting that powerful limb, as allowing it to wreak havoc could bring the entire structure down around them. With that decided, Escamon dropped to one knee, gripping his rusher arm with his left, as his three-fingered hand was drawn inside of the large, cubic forearm, quickly being replaced by a thin nozzle-like protrusion. He then extended his arm outwards, taking careful aim before announcing his attack: "Perpetual Beam.", as he fired a thin, potent and continuous beam at the point where the bestial foe's arm connected with his destructive apparatus. The beam would attempt to pierce his hide, likely generating a nasty burning sensation in the process.
Ability Used: Perpetual Beam (Fires precise and continuous beam at opponent, aim can be adjusted freely, Duration: 2 posts Cooldown: 2 posts)

Renamon looked up at the Mintaurmon, surprised as he and Blake went back multiple steps away from the enemy. However, maybe they didn't need to fight. Unfortunately, his actions said otherwise as Ren tried to think of something as he looked at it's metallic arm. That could be the end if they don't do anything about it.
"Focus on the arm or this whole place will crumble!" He shouted towards the others. He then started to float a few inches off the ground and puts his arms in a X formation. Leaves then started to materialize around him as they then started to turn in a white color scheme, as you could hear as if someone was sharpening something. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diamond Storm- Gather or materialize leaves to sharpen them to then launch at his opponent(No additional effects or debuffs when hit.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"DIAMOND STORM!" He shouted when he launched his leaves towards Minotaurmon's Metallic Arm. He dropped down to the ground. He hopes he knows what he's doing.
Blake looked around, trying to find a way to help but, should he? Maybe he should leave it to his partner but, he doesn't want to feel useless.

Torin bellowed out another laugh at Syre's question "Sorry, little miss, but the boss' info and such aren't up for talks, yeah?" he answered. Whoever this 'boss' was clearly wanted to keep their identity and motives secret, it seemed. "Tell ya what though...ya beat me and I may talk a little something, yeah? Ain't plannin' on that happenin'. Surely ya understand, yeah?"
He quirked an eyebrow at Katherine's cold dismissal of discussion "Aw, well I'd rather not, ya know? If ya push me..." he was about to continue, but Jazz's Blazing Ice made contact and he snorted angrily "...alright, looks like we're doin' this the hard way, yeah?! Hope you like bein' blamed for this, but first...get back here you!" he shouted as he stormed towards Jazz.
As he chased Jazz, he sniffed and smelled something burning. He howled in pain and shook his arm before glowering at Escamon. His arm sparked and the energy that built up faded from the pinpoint attack "Ya punk...! Get over here and actually fight me!" he rushed towards Escamon and raised an arm "Demon Arm!" he shouted before he attempted to bludgeon Escamon with his metallic arm.
Aylin stepped back from the conflict. While she was more than capable of digivolving and helping, she worried that any more participating would cause too much damage to the area around them, so she just watched and wished for everyone's well being in this battle "You can do this everyone! Stop him!"
"Ya think it'll be that easy?!" he shouted before getting pelted by Diamond Storm. That damage, by comparison, didn't bother him as much and he kept swinging at Escamon.

It seemed that this Minotaur wasn't even going to play along! Hearing his rather immediate answer, and the group's general, immediate onslaught towards the beast, Syre gave just a bare moment to give a sigh. "Fine, I'll hold you to that one!"
Right now, Syre knew that she wasn't exactly the strongest link of the team - but like the rest, she tried to use that to her advantage. Escamon had drawn Torin's attention, easily allowing her to slip off to the side, away from the angle of her allies' attacks, ready to provide support from another angle. Jazz's technique name caught her ear - Blazing Ice? That sounded like a good idea - perhaps using the same move name would throw off the Minotaurmon a bit!
"Blazing Ice!"
Though, unlike with Jazz's attack, Syre's held more to the 'blazing' part of it - a steam of blue fire spewed from her fangs. It might only have been a normal stream of fire from a rookie - but damn, it would feel a lot worse than it was! She hoped this attack would engulf the Minotaurmon's entire left side - and distract him, to put him on edge of more powerful attacks!
Blazing Ice: A breath attack, pairing the sheer cold of ice with the sheer heat of flame, creating a bluish stream of fire that extends about ten feet outward. The damage is accented with heightened pain, due to the senses of 'hot' and 'cold' being stressed at the same time.

-WOOOOOOOOH! GO GET HIM! –Jazz squealed jumping repeatedly with her fist up, greatly impressed by Escamon’s technique. Katherine could only sigh, wishing her partner would concentrate more on the battle happening just in front of her, but she knew the bunny was easily impressed at digimon who looked cool. The heat of the battle could almost be felt around the place. Or maybe it was that crazy technique Syre had just executed, that looked truly amazing. -Did she say Blazing Ice? –Jazz tilted her head, apparently, the Blacktailmon and her were using their own variations of their same technique. –So cool! –The bunny added, getting a little distracted by it. Shaking her head, she was back at focusing on the battle. Even though distracting, their techniques weren’t being very effective. It was everyone’s interest they stopped this monster as soon as possible before he could deal any damage to the structure. -Jazz, are you ready? –Katherine asked in a high tone, the bunny nodding as she knew what the brunette meant. The girl raised her digivice and pointed at her partner, the gadget glowing in bright white light. A R M O R
Lopmon evolves to… Moosemon! Even though she had seen this process happen a couple of times before, it was always amazing for Katherine to see her little bunny become such a marvelous, beautiful imposing creature. Her attitude was a much serious one now, and her voice was much deeper. Jazz's first sight, after digivolving, was Torin chasing after Escamon angrily. -Jazz, we’ve got to end this, soon, give it all you’ve got! –Katherine stated, in a tone high enough for her partner to hear it. -Torin! You’ll pay for disturbing such a beautiful place… because of your despiteful actions…
T H E F O R E S T I S A N G R Y!!! ( Moosemon makes a call for all of the nature spirits around the battle stage, gathering energy from them, this kind of energy is based on the kind of natural environment she is in: ocean, mountain, forest, dessert or others. The next turn, Moosemon will release a beam of energy from her mouth, based on the energy she gathered, this makes an enormous amount of damage, more than any other Moosemon attack, capable of immediately taking out an opponent if they're not prepared. The turn of this release, Moosemon can't perform other attacks. 5 posts cooldown. )
Jazz seemed to be gathering energy from around the environment, tiny blue balls of energy seemed to pop out of thin air and slowly merge with the moose’s body. Katherine’s eyes widened at the sight. What was going on? Was she preparing for some sort of powerful attack? -Is she gathering energy from… water? –She asked mumbling, looking at her surroundings. These tiny balls seemed to come from the water on the other side of the see-through walls. Jazz was gathering energy from the environment to attack Torin. Katherine could only hope the monster was kept busy enough to not notice Jazz’s recollection of energy, unless until she was prepared to unleash her attack. -Come on, keep distracting him a little longer, guys. -Katherine mumbled, keeping an eye on Torin, but also turning at Jazz as she kept gathering energy.
Katherine Status: Battling. Jazz Status: Battling. Jazz is gathering energy!

It was indeed a bold move to stand completely still while surrounded by enemies, this had allowed the whole group to easily target him, especially Escamon's own special targeted move. However, it seemed he would be unable to hang back and blast his target from afar, as he had wished, as his attack seemed to have angered the beastman more than anything else. He should have expected such an outcome, of course, him being the largest target in the room, at least, until another evolved into a bigger 'mon. Regardless, the charging bull man made it clear that he needed a change in strategy.
As the beast approached, the closer range forcing Escamon to aim at a less precise point, as a moving target, especially one of this surprising speed was infinitely more difficult to target accurately. He guided his laser down, firing it's last burst of energy into his left leg, hopefully to momentarily stall his assault. "I wasn't hired to fight you." He replied, simply, to Torin's challenge, as it meant very little to Escamon's, and by extension Chaze's monotone outlook. As the metallic arm rocketed towards the machine spirit, his engine roared as he tucked both of his arms up, defending his head with his elbows, as he ducked to the Minotaurumon's outer side, deflecting the majority of the impact from the initial blow.
Escamon released his tuck with his left arm, but aimed his right, larger elbow at Torin's face, as his next swipe landed in Escamon's side, eliciting a sharp exhale from the spirit, but that pain was inconsequential, as Escamon gripped onto his opponent's metal limb with his left, as he aimed the hole in his elbow at his foe's face, "But suppressing you is what the client demands." He stated, simply. A lens flipped out of the side of his arm, but he felt no need to check his aim, as point-blank was quite difficult to miss. "Locked-in Burst!" he yelled, launching the rocket in his elbow at his foe, creating a moderately sized explosion, obscuring the two in black smoke, momentarily and blasting Escamon away from the two. His visor and chunks of his metal exoskeleton was cracked, from the blast, but he wished to see what damage he managed to inflict on his foe, with such a potent attack. "This is why I keep at range, I am not too skilled at face-to-face distances." He remarked, forcing himself to stand, for another round.
Ability Used: Locked-In Burst (Fires a rocket from the launcher in laser arm’s elbow, Cooldown: 3 posts)
Duration: Perpetual Beam: 2/2
Cooldowns: Locked-In Burst 0/3 Perpetual Beam (just ended) 0/2 posts
Summary: Launched the remaining beam energy into Torin's leg, before dodging to his side, tanking a hit to his own side, to catch and immobilize his foe, before launching a rocket point-blank into his foe's face, damaging them both.

Renamon decided to wait until, there was a good enough opening. From the looks of it, Escamon seemed to do good enough damage as he decided to go for a close approach, assuming that the Minotaurmon was dazed by that rocket. Then again, he's a rookie and the enemy is a champion.
Switching strategies, he decided to rise up, once again, putting his arms in a X formation, the leaves materializing around him, sharpening again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diamond Storm: Gathers leaves or materializes them to then sharpen them. Ren then launches them at the opponent ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Diamond Storm!" He shouted as he launches the leaves at the Champion Scoundrel.
Blake decided to try something he probably shouldn't have. He went to the side of the room, getting closer to the Minotaurmon. As long as they keep on attacking him, he wouldn't have much of a bother dealing with someone who give him a wicked uppercut. The reason why he's doing this is so he could try and get him more vulnerable.

Torin angrily looked about and growled at the attackers. He managed to position himself so that the beam from Escamon missed the rest of the charge, but he stayed grappled with the spirit user. The point-blank explosions from Locked-in Burst hit their mark, causing the Minotarumon to recoil in pain and take a few steps back. "Uurgh..." he groaned. His movements were sluggish and it seemed like the team's efforts were working.
Syre's similarly named attack to the Lopmon confused him, but the minor damage from the attack didn't make him completely lose focus on the others. "This ain't even ice, yeah?!" he shouted in a somewhat annoyed tone at the name of the attack and what it actually did. He heard the newly digivolved Moosemon shout something in an ominous tone "Whoa now, yeah, ain't lettin' this happen!" he tried to go for Moosemon.
However, he felt Diamond Storm shatter against his body and the punch by Blake. He paused to look down at Blake, then at Escamon "Really, guy? Now you're just makin' me angry...really angry, yeah...?" his arm rumbled violently. "You're human, so I'm just gonna say...get out of my way, yeah? Earthquake Drill!" he shouted, planting his arm into the ground. Escamon would take damage if the attack landed, but the force of the initial impact would harmlessly push Blake away so he would avoid serious injury.
The room rumbled slightly from the attack, causing Aylin to panic "T-the room! D-d-don't crowd around him like that if that's what he's going to do! E-Escamon right? You seem at his level, keep his attention please!" she shouted, moving some of the tablets with a bit of effort.
Thankfully, the attack didn't reach Moosemon, which meant that whatever attack they were preparing went completely uninterrupted.
----------------
Torin used Earthquake drill, targeting Escamon and attempting to push Blake out of the way.
Torin's HP: 11/18.
Structural Integrity: 5/7. Took two damage from Earthquake Drill due to being attacked in close range by multiple opponents.
Earthquake Drill: Creates a massive shockwave by slamming the demon arm into the ground and releasing heavy tremors. 3 Turn Cooldown.

Damn it, that was just brushed off? Hide must be tougher than I thought...
Not only that, but the fight was starting to develop at a rapid pace. The introduction of Moosemon - quite the striking-looking Digimon, to be sure - and with Escamon and Torin trading blows, Syre was forced to keep her distance. Naturally, Torin returned his own counter, a powerful Earthquake Drill that threatened to bore through Escamon, rattle everyone else...
... And tear the arena apart! Keeping a fair distance away from the chaos, Aylin's panicked words quickly brought the feline's attention to life. If the Minotarumon managed to bring this place down on top of them, then more than the research would be at risk! She had to think of a way to end this, and fast - perhaps the attention on the two champion levels would allow her to take a risky approach?
Worth a shot! Trying to get around to the Minotarumon's back, Syre would then give a sprint forward - attempting to both jump onto and latch right onto the beast's back! Should she manage, she'd dig in with both of her feet, one of her claws - and her other claw would clutch around a blade of light, formed in the shape of a sickle. If she'd gotten this far, she'd try and simply dig that sickle right into the beast's back, gritting her teeth as she'd hang right on!
Log:
Syre uses 'Saberk' to create an energy blade, in the form of a hand sickle! Duration: 1/3

It was very hard to keep track of all the things happening during the battle at once, but Katherine tried to keep her attention on the wellbeing of the group’s members. Due to this, she got really scared when she spotted the explosion caused by Escamon’s close-range attack on Torin, that sent him away from the creature.
-Escamon! –The girl yelled out of genuine preoccupation. Luckily, he seemed to be fine, but Torin was far from being over with the metallic humanoid, now launching another attack at him, which made the whole room tremble, damaging the structures and making her wobble a little. –We need to finish this battle soon. –The girl mumbled, looking at the damaged room around her. Jazz seemed to be fine after the little earthquake, probably due to the distance she had managed to maintain between her and the monster. The moose had acquired a fighting stance and was ready to unleash her blast.
-Syre! Wait! –The Blacktailmon had decided to climb the beast’s body and latch onto his back.
-Kath! –Jazz yelled. She was glowing on blue light, denoting she was completely charged up. –We need to take Syre off him NOW! –Her partner ordered. Even though the blast was meant to hit the Minotauromon frontally, Syre being latched onto his body would definitely represent a risk for the cat digimon, due to the explosion the beam would produce upon hitting the monster’s body. Katherine then turned at Blake, who had been pushed near to her due to Torin’s attack. –Hey! Hey! –She addressed him desperately –Do you think Renamon can stop Syre? –She asked –Please! Just stop her from latching onto Torin’s body, or take her off him! Jazz is going to hurt her otherwise!
-Kath! I don’t think I can hold this blast much longer –Such amount of energy retained was beginning to hurt Jazz’s body, she had to release it very soon. Jazz would probably release her beam once everyone had made their next moves, and if Syre wasn’t off Torin’s body by then, she was going to be at danger.
Katherine status: Battling. Is asking for Syre to be taken off from Torin's body before Jazz releases her blast. Jazz status: Battling. Will release 'The Forest is Angry' blast of energy at the end of the turn, once every ally had done their moves and just before Torin makes his.

The Minotaurumon seemed to be losing his temper, that was both good and bad, for one thing, his moves would become more desperate, and probably more predictable, that was how it worked, right? Well, the more obvious downside came from how the beast would destroy the area more easily. Regardless, the current objective lay clearly before him, and the means provided would do nicely, his current mission was to stop the beast from damaging the area any further, which would likely require more hand-to-hand combat, although Escamon wasn't completely confident in his abilities up-close, when faced with a brawler like Torin, he had to distract him, as well as somehow extract the cat embedded into his hide. He flashed a quick glance at Aylin, simply stating "Understood." Before he leaned forward, and placed his large metal hand on the ground.
As the beast's arm descended, slamming into the earth for a shockwave in all directions, Escamon was already making his move, utilizing his powerful legs and the propulsion won by the strong pistons in his legs, he launched himself at his foe, once more, utilizing his arm to pull himself over the initial wave of Torin's attack, and sending himself, feet-first, into the beast-man, his form identical to the one he took at the waterfall. The attack was aimed at his torso or head, either would in all likelihood dislodge him from the ground. As he did so, he made an attempt to grab Syre in all the confusion, using his large Crusher arm. However, he completely missed the feline digimon, as his arm moved slower than he had imagined, due to him overestimating his own speed, and he was forced to leap off of Torin, and retreat a few feet, once more. "Cat, please evacuate, you will get hurt!" Was all he could shout, as he returned his attention to his foe, as he had probably attracted his attention, once again.
Ability Used: Mechanism Masher (Leaps forward, throwing a piston-powered dropkick.)

Blake breathed a sigh of relief until Renamon was closer to him. He had some sort of angry expression. "I know that you're trying to help but, STAY. BACK." He said sternly. His tamer nodded slowly as he laughed nervously as Ren turned back to Torin. He was aware that Jazz was going to attack but, if he doesn't get Syre out of there in time, things can get hectic.
Renamon didn't want to risk it but, the blame could be placed on him so, he felt like he has no other choice. Renamon started to run towards Syre was but, first, he had to occupy him for a short window of time in order to get the chance to save the Gatomon. It could either go smoothly or lose someone. Leaves then started to materialize around him as they then started to turn in a white color scheme once again, as you could then hear a 'SHHNG' sound. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Diamond Storm- Gather or materialize leaves to sharpen them to then launch at his opponent(No additional effects or debuffs when hit.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Diamond Storm!" He launched the leaves quickly, almost tripping onto the floor, hurrying himself. Eventually, he now attempted to grab the Gatomon from harm.
