Snowflake village was a quint little town with a quint little inn with warm glow glowing windows and a warmer hearth once the little bedraggled group made their ways indoors. The Doc still carefully carrying the Strabimon wrapped up in her lab coat as SnowAgumon went about getting them all a room for the night. Which was good as in the heat of the cozy building it was clear the Kotemon and Zubamon were starting to nod off from exhaustion as Dagger's chin dipped every so often and Cloak tried to hide his drifting off as merely long blinks, but the fact the rookies eyes glowed behind his helmet made it rather obvious.
"Thank you for grabbing us all a room for the night. Though I'm certain your friend should wake up soon. I don't know how conscious he'll be as he might just doze right back off, but I'm sure seeing his friend nearby will help him. Hopefully he hasn't suffered too much emotional trauma from this. Losing ones agency....it can be hard." Cas murmured softly giving the SnowAgumon a warm smile as the group made their way up to their room hopefully with a warm meal to be sent up behind them.

If there was anything that SnowAgumon could say he was actually good at? It was probably talking. Boy oh boy could he talk up a storm when he wanted to. Thing is, they were kind of favored by the lady luck tonight as there had been a single room large enough to fit the whole party of...what, 7? Plus SnowAgumon had the best impromptu weapon backing his words; the fact these people topped the spire.
People gave Cas weird looks on the way up, though. Though...They weren't necessarily directed at her.
They were directed at Strabi. It was very known who the guardian of the Spire had been. It was very known what had transpired at his hands. And speaking of Strabi? As the group got into the room allotted for them, the furred Rookie started to actually wake up with a light groan.

Both Skye and Hickory were glad to arrive in Snowflake Village after all this. While undoubtedly they were more sympathetic to Cas, her partners, SnowAgumon and Strabimon as they had been suffering before they had arrived, well, it would be great to have all this come to a conclusion. Skye had heard of the threats of the control spires of the digital world, and she was interested in hearing more of what Strabimon had to say once he had the energy.
But for the moment, the Gatomon would stand by for a little while and let Cas do what she could. Since she knew her own healing magic would be unlikely to work on exhaustion, she'd simply act in her capacity as a guardian for the time being. Others in the party were exhausted, while she was a champion level at full power. While she had a sense that there was far more strength to Cas and her partners than met the eye, well, it would pay to make sure at least.
However, it seemed that this wasn't necessary. They had made it to the inn of Snowflake without incident, so, Skye supposed she was grateful for that. SnowAgumon got them a room, and, despite the looks from others in the inn, they made it there.
Skye notice that Strabimon also seemed to be waking at last. However, she would say nothing yet, leaving it to Cas to be the first to speak to him. She waited patiently by the wall, Hickory fidgeting a little with impatience on her shoulder, but he too said nothing just yet.

Carefully shifting her grip on the Strabimon as he stirred she gently laid him on the bed running a soothing hand lightly over his head. "Shhh you're ok. You're safe now." She murmured voice soft and low, her tone one of comfort and understanding. The last thing she wanted was for the rookie to come up swinging after all.
"Could one of you run grab a cup of water for him? We'll order some food in a moment. Something hardy should help him recover from the exhaustion easier." Cas requested glancing over at the others her eyes sliding over Cloak and Dagger, the twins having already sagged onto the small couch. Dagger was fast asleep already draped over his twin though Cloak was fighting to keep his eyes open and looked for a moment to be considering getting up to fetch what his Tamer requested before Cas shook her head.
"Don't hurt yourself. You both used a lot of energy out there." The Doctor murmured feeling the strain of their evolution and the stress of the fight herself.

SnowAgumon remained quiet as Strabi's eyes opened and the hound sat up. He himself was quiet, and peering around the room as though wary of something. "Nngh..Okay and me are not very synonymous, lady...." He raised a gloved hand to his head and groaned. "The Spire." He murmured, his voice little more than barely audible growl. "Has it been felled?"
"...Yeah, it's gone." SnowAgumon replied. "Thanks to these guys!" He seemed proud of himself. Though he...did kind of just imply he was proud of them for beating his friend up. To which Strabi groaned again. "I suppose that's...for the better. No more seeing red. No more...needless death."
What had this wolf seen as the Northern Guardian? What had he DONE?

Skye nodded as Cas requested they get some water. "Alright, we'll be a moment" she said, quickly moving downstairs to the inn bar, requesting a glass of water.
When the bartender asked if she wanted some ice, she shook her head. "Actually could you make it tepid please?" she asked, supposing the ice cold Snowflake village water wouldn't really help that much. With that, she brought a jug of room temperature water and a glass back up the stairs to the room. She filled the glass with the water and put it on the table beside the bed.
She and Hickory looked on with sympathy as Strabimon seemed to be filled with regret over the events of the day. Skye supposed she'd feel the same way if something like that happened to her; all self-control removed, being forced to attack and hurt others. But she would hopefully make it clear here that she bore no ill will to a digimon that had been put under its control.
But for now she'd wait and let Cas do her job in making sure that he'd recover properly.

"What SnowAgumon says is true." Cassandra murmured giving a nod of thanks to Skye as she took the glass of water from the bedside table carefully pressing it into Strabi's hands and helping hold it steady.
"Drink. No one blames you for what happened." She spoke softly her blue eyes gentle and understanding as she tried to coax the wolf digimon. "You were after all being controlled and you wouldn't be the first mon to be enslaved by the tower." Cas added hoping to ease some of the Strabimon's guilt
"Do you wish to talk about it? No one here will judge you." She assured him softly unsure if he'd want to speak of what he'd seen and done yet or if he would need more time. For some talking helped. For others...not so much. In the end Strabi had simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time and he'd been made to suffer for it.

Strabi's eyes flitted to his friend before they resumed figuratively boring holes into almost everything else. "It matters little. It does not remove the blood from my hands." He spoke. Grimly. Though...It did at least reassure him that there were others who shared in this plight.
Others that probably wouldn't reveal themselves even if they had a gun to their head or something. "I can speak little of it. I barely remember what happened before I was enslaved. And all too well what had happened afterwards."
"...Sorry I took so long..." SnowAgumon mumbled. "...And how many paid for it?" Strabimon inquired.

Skye and Hickory remained silent as the conversation began. Skye mostly from politeness, as she had nothing to add to the conversation so far, but Hickory out of the rise of many bad memories.
Even though he was friends with the Gatomon, the Chuumon was still a digimon that was born in the Dark Area - a place where things that would come as utter horror to most people were a simple commonplace. It was only sheer luck that he had found a way out of there, given that his only other choices were to become as savage as his surroundings or die. But still, even he felt no ill will toward Strabimon. He could tell by the expression of regret he had. That and his talk of blood on his hands. That at least told him that he wasn't proud of what happened.
While Hickory was silent, Skye felt the need to say something. "Regardless of what digimon were slain by your claws, all that matters is what controlled them" she stated. "From what I can tell, you were used as a weapon by those that controlled the tower. You did not consciously kill them, therefore you're innocent of those crimes. The guilt belongs with those that made the tower take control of you. I think that's a fair way of putting this situation".
Skye's words rendered Hickory silent at the least. The Chuumon agreed in spirit. But he was still somewhat nervous about the situation. Then, the Gatomon gave a careful look at the lupine rookie digimon. While it might have been more polite to ask, well, this might be like a case of waking from a dream. The more time passed, the more details would fade. At least that's what she thought.
"Strabimon, I'm sorry to ask this so abruptly, but, do you remember what happened in the moments before you lost control? It's important... it might help us learn who might be making these towers and ruining all these lives".
If Skye had gone too far in this line of questioning at this stage of Strabimon's recovery, she would withdraw unconditionally. She knew she was probably going beyond her purview with that question, but, after the realization in what this infestation of dark towers meant for the digital world, she was filled with purpose to try and find a way to stop them.
