-Vermillimons are really amazing digimons. –Roru said, looking at the different Vermillimon stomping on the ground, following some sort of ritual, and making lava come out the ground. -We shouldn’t expect less from perfect level digimon. –Koru replied with a serious look. -Perfect… level? –Katherine turned at Koru. -Yes. I assume you’re somewhat familiar with the evolutions right?
-Hmhm. –Katherine nodded. –That thing Yume’s twin did during the battle against Fugamon, right? -That’s right. When a digimon evolves, they usually go from a lower level to a higher one. –Koru started explaining, by still paying attention to the duel that was about to begin. –There exist different evolving stages for digimon. The most basic and common level is ‘Child’ level, also called rookie ‘level’; digimons like those twins, we Psychemons, Goblimon or Lopmons like the boss are child level digimon. Then, there’s ‘Adult’ or ‘Champion’ level: digimons like Meramon or Fugamon or the digimon the two twins became after evolving. Vermillimon is a ‘Perfect’ level digimon, which is the one that comes after adult. Then, there’s ‘Ultimate’ level digimon, the strongest of them all, like Lord Goddramon. –Koru finished his explanation. -That’s amazing. –As she expected, Goddramon was extremely strong. –But, then… -The girl placed her hand on her chin, recapping everything Koru had said. –That means Andrea was actually stronger than Fugamon, right? –The girl asked, tilting her head. -And that’s why Lava is so angry at him, and can’t believe he was unable to get back here. –Jazz replied. -But… Andrea had to have a good reason, right? –Katherine asked, turning at Jazz. -I’m sure she did but… -Koru sighed, hopelessly. –I think there’s no way of convincing him of that. He wants a battle, and he has all the right to get one. –But… that can’t be! There has to be another way… -There has to be a way of stopping this… -A frustrated countenance was drawn on Jazz’s face.
A deafening roar shook the whole place; the battle had begun. The Vermillimon around the pair kept stomping the ground, Lava started running towards Andrea, with the latest taking a defensive stance, putting his horn slightly sideways. Both dinosaurs collided, the chirp of the clashing armors was very loud, Lava tried to push himself towards Andrea, but he managed to withstand the attack. After another roar from Andrea, Lava stepped back and ran to his right. Just after this, actual bright red lava came from below right where the former Vermillimon was standing, probably caused by Andrea’s roaring. That was truly an amazing technique, but Lava had managed to dodge it. -Stop it, please… -Katherine mumbled. -I didn’t know… tomorrow was the day! –Andrea yelled at Lava. -Do you really expect me to believe that? You only want power, but you don’t care about any of us. -I care! I care for all of you! -Andrea stomped on the ground in frustration. –I don’t care about being the leader.
-Then why didn’t you come!? Did you want to run from your responsibility? Is that what this is about? You just didn’t want to be the leader? –The Vermillimons around the duo went quiet. They didn’t want this, not a single one of them, it was obvious. –Do you know how hard it was for us to not have a leader? They spent days and nights waiting for you! And they still forgive you when you appear! And you plan to act like nothing happened? -Of course not! Being the leader wasn’t something I wanted but… -Andrea made a pause, clenching his big fangs. -I would have never let all of you without a leader on purpose! NEVER! -Stop it already… -Jazz clenched her fists, with tears in her eyes. -I TRUSTED YOU! I REALLY DID! I told everyone to trust you when no one did! -I know! –Tears filled Andrea’s eyes. –I know that! And I failed you! Because… BECAUSE I WAS SCARED! I knew if I escaped Fugamon and the others would follow me! I didn’t want to fight! I didn’t want to endanger you! So I just… I just accepted my fate! Because I was afraid! Afraid of risking it all!
Suddenly, a bunch of rocks materialized around Lava, and were thrown directly at Andrea when the creature roared. Andrea broke some with his horn, but some other hit him directly, exploding on contact. Apparently, Andrea was only defending himself from Lava’s techniques but didn’t mean to attack at any moment. The pain could be seen on his face as the battle continued. -You can’t be trusted; you can’t be our leader… -A red colored beam started forming inside of Lava’s half-opened mouth, shining bright. Whatever was coming, was going to be devastating. -Huh? Where’s Katherine? –Koru asked, looking around.
-The boss isn’t here either! –Roru replied, looking around too. –Oh god, look! – The Psychemon pointed forward. Katherine had started running, getting inside the circle of Vermillimon where lava had stopped streaming. Jazz was holding tight to the neck of Katherine’s jacket, as the girl ran at full speed towards the battle.
-STOP IT PLEASE! –The girl and the bunny yelled, as loud as they could, almost feeling like their throat was going to explode. Both Psychemons turned at Goddramon, who was simply stunned at the sighting. -Who is ... this girl? –He asked in total disbelief.

The bright red of the beam charged inside of Lava’s mouth slowly started to fade out. In front of the dinosaur, Katherine was standing with both arms extended to the sides, blocking the way of the beam. She had tears in her eyes and a desperate countenance. She was ‘back to back’ with Jazz, who had her arms extended standing in front of Andrea with a glance of determination. -You can’t keep doing this! Please stop! –Katherine yelled, looking at Lava, trying to stop her tears from coming out. -You’re hurting yourself and hurting your siblings! –Even though her small size, Jazz shouting could be heard across the whole place. -Whatever happened with all the time you’ve lived together in peace!? Whatever happened to your values as a tribe!? –The brunette asked. –I want to think digimon are better than this! I know they are! –It was like her body and mouth acted by themselves, Katherine didn’t know where had she gotten the courage to stand in front of these two beasts about to unleash a powerful attack on each other. Memories of her times with Simba, Tohru, Jazz, Koru, Roru, Boru, and Andrea went through her head. She had had amazing times with digimon in and out from this world, and she knew they could settle things in a much better way than hurting each other.
-You must remember the happier times, where you all shared as a group, together, with Andrea and Lava, and everyone!–Jazz added. Tears could be seen going through her cheeks too. –I know it’s hard to reach an agreement sometimes, but… family is all you’ve got, you must love each other because if you don’t… you’re truly alone in this world! -Lava… I know this isn’t what you wanted. –Katherine looked at Lava right into the eyes, who was still shocked at everything that was going on. –But you can’t blame Andrea for being scared! Being afraid of risking it all is only normal, especially when you just want to protect those that are important to you. He just didn’t want you to be endangered. He didn’t want to take the risk of running from Fugamon not because of him! But because of ALL OF YOU! He wanted to protect you! –Just after saying these words, Katherine realized she was starting to understand how Jazz felt. She knew Katherine was her partner, and wanted to take the risk of traveling around the world with her, but was afraid of leaving her friends alone and putting them in danger. -Andrea… I know sometimes it may be hard but… -Jazz raised her view, to look at Andrea straight into his eyes, who was crying too. –You need to face your fears! Do you think Lava wasn’t scared of being the leader too? Of course he was! But he still did it, so you can do the same! –As she spoke, Jazz started to understand how Katherine felt. She had traveled all the way from her world, looking for her partner. She went to the hideout looking for her digivice, ringed that bell and faced Koemon and the others, just for her. The least she could do now was having the courage of following her dream and going with her tamer to know this world. –I know you were afraid to endanger your brothers but… you must trust them! You must trust they’ll be alright and will always be there for you! They’ve shown you that before, right? –Andrea’s friends were just like the Psychemon brothers for Jazz. She was afraid of putting them in danger by leaving them alone at Rustport, or that they could get mad at her; but the truth was they had always supported her, they wouldn’t be mad if she decided to follow her dream. –I know you don’t want to be the leader and you don’t want to let anyone down either! But that’s okay, your friends will understand! If they’re really your family, they will support you no matter what. –Katherine realized Jazz wasn’t only giving advice to Andrea, but she was also letting her own feelings out. The girl started to cry desperately.
–Jazz… -The brunette mumbled in a low tone, only for the bunny, who was right at her back to hear it. –I know how you feel now. I’m sorry… -She interrupted herself by the sound of Jazz taking a deep breath.
-AND I HOPE YOU CAN FORGIVE ME, BROTHERS…-Jazz started yelling loudly, for the Psychemon brothers to hear. -BUT IF SHE LETS ME… -The bunny took another deep breath. -I’M GOING WITH KATHERINE TO FOLLOW MY DREAM OF KNOWING THIS WHOLE WORLD AND FIND OUT WHY WAS SHE CHOSEN TO COME HERE! –Jazz shouting felt like it echoed across the whole desert. Katherine smiled like she never had in her whole life, tears still falling over her face. She had literally never felt that happy. The girl turned at the bunny, who had already turned at her. She took a deep breath, just like Jazz had done seconds ago.
-OF COURSE I WANT YOU TO COME WITH ME, PARTNER!!!-That day, in front of the B. Cave, Katherine Jasso, the tamer, and Jazz the bandit Lopmon from Rustport, the digimon partner, became a team that would remain together, even though the hardest moments. An alliance that would transcend even time and space.

Even though they didn’t fully understand what was going on between Jazz and Katherine, all the Vermillimons on the circle roared in happiness and started doing some sort of dance. -Boss… -Roru rubbed his eyes with his right forearm, while tears kept falling. -Of course you’ve got the right to follow your dreams. You must go with Katherine. –Koru said with a smile, even though Jazz couldn't hear him.
Andrea raised his head and roared, to raise everyone’s attention.
-My fellow Vermillimon… -She yelled. Everyone went silent. –We all know a Vulcano Duel can’t end until some of the two can’t stand up. –Andrea made a short pause to then go on. –But I, Andrea, the current leader of our tribe. –The Vermillimon turned at Lava, before continuing. –Give up my position as a leader, and proclaim Lava our new leader! So the Vulcano Duel is over! –Every Vermillimon roared in happiness once again. -W-what!? She can do that? –Koru asked, turning at Reiki. -She can proclaim a new leader at any moment. Nothing says she can’t do it during a Vulcano Duel. By proclaiming the challenger, the new leader, the Vulcano Duel makes no sense, leaving it with no effect. –The Goodramon replied, with some sort of aliviated tone on his voice. Koru and Roru smiled at the statement. It was finally over. Lava quickly ran towards Andrea. –Andrea! Are you sure about this? -I never wanted to be the leader, to begin with, Lava. I’m fine the way I am. -Andrea… -Lava lowered his head. –I’m sorry… I shouldn’t have judged you. Andrea shook his head. –I’m sorry, Lava. I was too much of a coward. But not anymore! from now on I’m living how I want to live, just being a regular member of our tribe and having fun with everyone. –The Vermillimon smiled at his sibling. –I’m sure you’ll be a great leader, as you’ve been these past two years.
The sunset had begun. Katherine, Jazz, Koru, and Roru had spent the whole day speaking to the Vermillimon tribe about their life there, Katherine telling them stories about the human world, while the bandits told stories about their days at Rustport. The Vermillimon even shared some of their food with them and they had lunch together. It was a very tasty meat that apparently ‘grew’ in the desert. Lava, Andrea, and the other Vermillimons thanked the group for their help and for calming the things when it was needed, also apologizing again for such a fuss. For Katherine, it was still hard to assimilate Jazz had accepted to go with her around the world, and accepted the fact that she was her digimon partner; it was so good it felt like she was dreaming, but then again, every part of this did.
-We should leave now; it’s going to get dark soon. –Katherine stood up and stretched. She had been sitting for too long inside the cave. The bandits nodded. -Mrs. Katherine. –Reiki, who hadn’t been around during the whole storytelling, appeared right behind Katherine. -Oh! Lord Goddramon. –She smiled at the deity. –Where have you been? -I have got something important to tell you. –He replied, deliberately ignoring the brunette’s question. –Your partner mentioned something about you wanting to find out why you came to this world, right?

-Oh. –The girl nodded after. –Yes, that’s right. None of the tamers I’ve known so far has a clear idea of why were they chosen. –She added. Katherine was convinced there had to be something more, there had to be a reason why each and every one of them was called to this world, why their digimon partners were chosen from so many possible digimon. She thought she could maybe find some sort of pattern, but she hadn’t come to it yet. There existed tamers like Yume, who had been thrown into the Digital World right from the get-go. Then there was herself, who had received her digivice after having a weird dream and then decided to go into the Digital World herself and look for her partner. Finally, there was also Talia, who’s digimon had gone into the human world, and she hadn’t even visited the Digital World, never. -That’s because probably the vast majority of them doesn’t know. –The Goddramon replied. –And based on what I’ve seen, none of them are really interested in discovering. -But… why? –The brunette asked, tilting her head. -Well, not everyone has that undying curiosity inside of them, Mrs. Katherine. –Reiki replied, with a proud tone. –That’s really worthy of admiration, I must tell you.
The girl blushed a little and looked below. –That’s very nice of you to say, Lord Goddramon. –She then raised her view and smiled to the digimon. –I admire you very much, for trying to maintain the peace between digimon. -I’m sorry for haven’t helped you during your battle with Fugamon. –He said. –I hope you understand that, even when I can see or feel most of what happens around this territory, I shouldn’t interfere much with the natural course of things. That’s what help us all grow so much as humans or digimon. The girl shook her head, smiling. –That’s alright. Maybe if you have interfered, I haven’t been able to develop such a special bond with Jazz. –She then turned at her partner, who smiled back. -You’re probably right. –The Goddramon replied, clearing his throat after. –In any case, about discovering why you came here. –He changed his tone to a serious one, that was, even more, overwhelming thanks to his deep voice. –You probably aren’t going to find many people that can explain this, since the appearance of humans inside the Digital World, those mysterious artifacts called digivice and the selection of digimon partners for such humans has been a mystery to all, both human and digimon, since this started. The girl placed her right hand on her chin, tilting her head. –Well, there’s got to be a way of finding out something right, there has to be someone who knows about this. -I believe there must exist someone, and even though I have no information about this matter, I know who may have. –Reiki made a brief pause. -And do you think you could point us to them? -Jazz asked, her ears perking up. –I'm afraid that won't be so easy... since he has been dead for years... -The diety sighed, making a brief pause. -I need you to pay attention because I’m about to tell you an ancient legend that has existed since long ago around the Western Flatlands, but barely anyone remembers it nowadays.
Katherine and the bandits listened carefully, and even the Vermillimons around the cave went quiet.

The legend that got lost in time: The Ancient Sage and the 5 Zoid Gems
Over three hundred years ago, somewhere around the Digital World, two digimon fell in love. He was only a crafter from a forgotten town, she was a local nurse. Their love was pure and truthful. Whoever met them could tell their feelings towards each other were sincere, and they would do anything for each other. He was a gallant, strong warrior willing to do anything for his beloved one, while she admired him and lived to please him. They made each other laugh, they shared adventures together and remained together to whatever obstacle was thrown at them.
Sadly, one day, she started feeling ill, weak, she didn’t laugh like before, she spent most of her time sleeping and feeling down. After taking her to a local doctor, he discovered she was terribly sick. He tried to take her to every doctor, healer or shaman around, but none of them could help; they all said she was going to die and there was nothing he could do to avoid it, that she only had one year of life expectancy, as a maximum. He didn’t want her to die, even if she would reincarnate, he wanted her, not her reincarnation, he wanted the one that remembered all the moments they had had together. So he never gave up, he kept looking and looking. He arrived an ancient place known as the Drum Sanctuary, looking for help. There, a powerful digimon known as ‘Mystic’ appeared. Mystic told him that the Drum Sanctuary could heal anyone, as long as the right amount of energy was offered to it as a sacrifice; Mystic told him that, for the sickness she had, which was almost unhealable, he needed to sacrifice a great amount of energy, the greatest that had ever been offered to the Sanctuary. He would have to go all over the world: The cold mountains from the north, the hot deserts to the west, the mysterious woods at the east, the relentless oceans to the south, and the dangerous cities by the center. From each direction, he would have to find a way of reuniting energy from each place into one item. Then, he had to go back to the sanctuary, and offer those sources of energy to the sanctuary, that way, the sanctuary would heal her beloved one.
Naturally, without even thinking about it, he parted on such journey, carrying her on his shoulders. With his own hands and tools, he crafted 5 gems, made of chrome digizoid, the most resistant material he had. These gems would be the item where he would store the energy he needed to gather. Traveling alongside his beloved one, he went across the whole world:
The Northern Prominence, where he gathered the energy for the Lazuli Zoid gem. He also befriended the Ice Warrior there, who, moved by his story and determination, decided to join him in his journey.
The Western Flatlands, where he gathered the energy for the Ochre Zoid Gem. He also befriended the Sand Warrior, who also decided to accompany him.
The Eastern Timberlands, where he gathered the energy for the Erin Zoid Gem. There, he befriended the Wind Warrior, and she decided to help him too.
The Southern Tropics, where he gathered the energy for the Pearl Zoid Gem. He befriended the Water Warrior, and she decided to come along too.
Finally, when he reached the Digital Core, he managed to gather the energy for the Saffron Zoid Gem. There, he became best friends with the Metal Warrior, with him joining the crew too.

After so many battles and struggles to save his beloved one, many digimon around the world started hearing rumors about him, about his adventures and started calling him ‘The Sage’, due to all the knowledge he had reunited from being across the whole world. It was told the Sage knew everything that had happened, that was happening and that was going to happen, ever, in the Digital World.
Almost a year had passed, his beloved one had become even sicker, and was very close to dying, but she was still alive. With her on his shoulders, he and his group finally arrived back to the Drum Sanctuary, where Mystic was waiting. He handed the gems to Mystic, but something was wrong, Mystic only wanted power now. Mystic was so surprised the Sage had managed to go across the world and reunite that much energy, Mystic wanted it for himself, so he tried to murder him using the power of the gems, but the five warriors from north, west, east, south and center, who had become the Sage’s best friends, fought to protect him. Together, the group managed to defeat Mystic, whom with his last gasp of life, aimed for the Sage’s beloved one… killing her from a mortal blow.
Everyone cried her death. For a moment, it felt like everything had been in vain, like nothing he had done had a purpose. Then, it is told the sanctuary spoke to the Sage, it was told he was the only one able to hear its voice. The sanctuary told him he could bring his beloved one back to life, and she would be immortal, unable to die. But the sanctuary needed too much energy to accomplish this. The Sage needed to offer the 5 gems, with the soul of a powerful digimon inside each and every one of them; and lastly, he would have to offer his own soul to the sanctuary to seal the deal. He wouldn’t die, but the sanctuary would keep his soul inside of itself until someone was capable of reuniting those 5 gems again, that would be scattered around the whole world. That was the only way the sanctuary would free his soul from its insides, when someone who was capable of doing again what the sage once did, appeared again. His 5 warrior friends trusted the Sage, and were willing to give their souls for his beloved one. The Sage said he couldn’t accept that, he couldn’t allow everyone to sacrifice their lives for her. But they insisted she was also their friend, and they would do it.
Just like that, the Sage offered his soul, and the 5 gems containing the souls from his friends to bring his beloved one back. The sanctuary took a great amount of power from the gems, and then it scattered them around the whole world. His beloved one was brought back to life, and from that day on, she received the name of ‘The Traveler’ since she would travel the whole world, looking for the 5 gems to bring them back to the Drum Sanctuary and free the now called by everyone 'Ancient Sage'that was trapped inside of it. Nevertheless, she was never seen again, and it is said that she's still traveling this world looking for those gems.
The legend states, whoever fulfills The Traveler’s dream and brings the 5 Zoid Gems back to the Sanctuary, will free the Ancient Sage, and since he knows everything, he would answer any question they may have, as a way of thanking them.

-That’s so sad… -Katherine mumbled, looking down. –It is such an amazing story, though. -It all happened so long ago, that most digimon around the world had forgotten about that legend. –Reiki raised his view, thinking about it. –Honestly, no one could say if that’s true. -But it’s our only lead, so we should follow it. –Jazz promptly said. –It’s the only thing that may give us some answers. -Plus, if such story is true, I would really like to help The Traveler. She must be very sad, having to live forever without who she loved. –Katherine added, with a worried countenance. -That is very nice of you, Mrs. Katherine. Looking at the bright sight, if you find the first gem, you would already know the legend is real. Katherine nodded at Reiki’s statement. –That’s right. Thanks for telling me all of this, Lord Goddramon. -Sadly, I can’t confirm any of this. –The Goddramon sighed. –But I do have heard of something that could be related to it. Jazz ears perked up. –You have? What is it?
-I once heard a rumor about an ancient yellow gem located inside of Terabyte Mountain. –Reikie started. –They said it had ancient powers and was of a bright yellow color, like if it were... ocher. -The Ocher Zoid gem? –Katherine and Jazz said at the same time, looking at each other. -I couldn’t say for sure, but it does worth the try, right? –The deity seemed to have acquired a certain liking at the duo. –Nothing says the gems were sent exactly to where they once obtained their powers. The Lazuli Zoid gem was the one once forged at the Northern Prominence, but nothing says the Ocher Zoid gem couldn’t have been the one sent there once the sanctuary scattered around. Or even maybe it ended there by some other terms. This all happened over two hundred years ago, we really don't know how much could those gems have traveled around the Digital World. -That’s right! It could be the Ocher Zoid Gem, then! –The bunny was excited at the new adventure that was ahead of them. -Sadly, I don’t know where the Drum Sanctuary is located either. –Reiki explained. –But I promise I will try to gather some more information about this legend and will find the way of getting it to you, somehow. -Thanks, Lord Goddramon. –Katherine nodded. –Well… -She started, turning at Jazz. –We’ve got an objective set now, apart from fulfilling the dream of knowing the Digital World to its fullest! –The teenager was as excited as it could get. -Yes! –Jazz said, with a fist up. Koru and Boru joining her.
-We must go back home now, then. –Katherine felt too tired for walking back to Rustport, but they couldn’t stay any longer there, or Roff would get worried. -I think I can help you with that, Mrs. Katherine. –Reiki placed his hand again over the girl’s head. A golden aura started surrounding the group. -Will we see you all again? –Andrea asked, Lava standing next to him, both with a rather sad expression. -Of course you will. –The girl answered, smiling at the group of Vermillimon. –And we’re going to have lots of fun and tell many more stories when we do. -That’s right. –Jazz affirmed. –You’re going to be a great leader, Lava. –The bunny added, turning at Lava. -Thanks for everything, Jazz. –He replied. -Have fun with your friends okay? –Katherine and Andrea looked at each other for an instant. -I will… thanks. –The Vermillimon replied, with some tears in his eyes.
They were waving goodbyes now, but the group didn’t even know what Goddramon was about to do. The deity and Katherine crossed glances. -Your adventure is just about to being, Mrs. Katherine. –He said. –Keep that good will and faith in digimon inside of you, and I am sure it will be an amazing one. –He added. Katherine opened her mouth to reply, but everything turned to a bright golden color around her. The next thing she saw, after the golden aura faded, she wasn’t at the B. Cave anymore. Neither Reiki or the Vermillimon could be seen, only the Psychemon and Jazz were around her, everyone looking around, as confused as she was. Upon detailing their surroundings, they noticed: they were back at Roff’s yard,at Rustport. The Goddramon’s powers were truly amazing.

Roff welcomed the group and even offered them dinner, but they had eaten at the B. Cave and were truly exhausted. Katherine wished goodnight to both Psychemon and Jazz, as they went into their rooms and the girl went up the stairs towards hers. Her school uniform was over a desk, next to her bed. She put it inside her backpack, took her clothes off and went into the shower. They had also left some sort of pajamas for her folded on the desk, so after coming out she just wore those. She was truly grateful at Roff for the treatment he had given to the girl while she was there, so she had no doubt he would help the baby homeless digimon of Rustport properly.
Wearing her pajamas, which consisted of a pink short and a white blouse, the girl just let herself fall on the bed. As she started closing her eyes, someone knocked on the door. -It’s opened… -The girl replied, sitting on the bed and looking at the door. Hanging from the knob, as the door opened, the figure of Jazz could be seen thanks to the moonlight, even though the lights were already off. -Hi there, Kath. -Now you’re calling me Kath? –The girl giggled. -H-hey! Boru calls you like that, so why not? –The bunny blushed a little. -You guys talked to him? –Katherine leaned her body forward. –Is he feeling better? -He’s fine, he was in the kitchen eating when we arrived. I already told him about my decision, he was happy to hear. Apparently, everyone knew what I really wanted except myself. –Katherine giggled at this last part, but then focused on Boru’s wellbeing. -I’m so glad! That means he has recovered. -That’s right. –The bunny’s gaze escaped from Katherine’s. –I… couldn’t sleep until I apologized…
-Apologize? –The brunette tilted her head. –What for? -I acted… a little mean, at first. –Jazz had a sad countenance. -That’s okay. I know how you felt. –The girl smiled. –I was pretty terrified of coming here too. -You were? –The bunny walked towards the girl. -Oh, so much! –She replied. –I’ve lived my entire life afraid of trying something new, just because I was scared to fail. But since I discovered the existence of digimon, I’ve tried to change that. And you have helped too. -Me?
-Yes. To be honest, I saw how you were also frustrated about that fight Lava and Andrea were having. Seeing your frustration, somehow made me want to jump ahead and stop it. –The girl raised her view thinking. –I guess I could say, somehow, I knew you were going to go with me to stop it. Jazz giggled. –That was something pretty hasty, honestly. -It was. –The brunette paused for a second. –Jazz… -She turned at the bunny. –I came to this world because I felt you were waiting for me. You gave me the courage I needed. So… -Katherine raised the bunny from the ground. Her fur was soft and warm. –I’m glad I gave you the courage to follow your dream.
Jazz cheeks turned as red as ever, and her gaze tried to evade Katherine’s eyes.–I … -The bunny stuttered, trying to say something. –I’m glad you came. –Silence reigned across the room. –I-I’m not very good with hugs but… -A couple of seconds of silence followed. Katherine tilted her head. –One… wouldn’t be that bad, right now, I think. Katherine hugged the bunny tight. -You’re sleeping with me tonight, right? –Katherine asked. -M-me!?

-I told you to give her a chance. –Boru said smiling goofily, as the three Psychemon brothers, Roff, Jazz and Katherine reunited in front of the Meramon’s house the next morning, after breakfast. -And you were right, Boru. –Katherine smiled back at the Psychemon. – I’m sorry you couldn’t come with us yesterday but… -The girl tilted her head kindly. –Let’s have some great adventures when we reunite again, okay?-Of course, Kath! –Boru raised his arms in excitement. –Be ready to see the powerful Boru back in action when we meet again! -Oh, I will! –The girl replied. -So the plan is, once you’re done building the house for the young digimon, and making sure everything is in order, you’re going to find us, right? –Katherine asked, turning at Koru. -Yes. –The Psychemon nodded. –It wouldn’t make sense for all of us to leave now and leave all the work to Roff. -Are you sure you don’t want us to stay until you finish? –Katherine asked, Koru shaking his head immediately. -Yes. We don’t know how much this may take us, and if you’ve got a lead about where the first Zoid Gem could be, you should follow it as soon as possible, before it wears off. –Koru explained, Roru and Boru nodding.-You don’t need to worry, boss, we’ve got everything under control here! –Roru said winking at Jazz. -Empress Jazz, for you. –The bunny replied, crossing her arms with her eyes closed. – And even after you find us, we’ll come back here at some point. –Jazz opened one of her eyes and looked at her brothers. –So you better do a great work, or you’ll suffer the consequences. –She said, showing her tongue to the trio in a teasing manner; the Psychemons sweat dropping right after. -I don’t know where we might be by the time you end, but it shouldn’t be impossible to find us, right? –Katherine asked the trio. -Don’t worry, Kath. I think we can go and ask Lord Goddramon to help us find you. –Roru stated. –He probably would have some info he would like us to carry to you guys anyways. -That makes sense. –The girl replied, with a reflective expression. It was a good thing they had found Lord Goddramon in such circumstances, thanks to him, they had the first lead to discovering why was she chosen to come to this world. -I wish you to have a safe trip, Mrs. Jasso, Jazz. –Roff took a step forward, addressing the duo. –I thank you both for defeating Fugamon and his whole band, as well for having returned Andrea the Vermillimon to his home. I thank you too, Jazz, for having helped the poor digimon of this village for so long.-We’ll see each other again, Roff. –Jazz told the Meramon, looking at him with determination. The group departed from Roff’s house, walking through the streets of Rustport. -You should take the Trailmon to the North Prominence right now. –Koru stated, firmly. -Trailmon? –Katherine asked, confused. –That sounds like a digimon.-It is. –Roru giggled. -It’s a digimon that’s also a train.-You’re going to see it in a minute. –Jazz said to the girl, after looking at her confused expression. Effectively, the group reached an old wooden train station. Some digimon seemed to have briefcases ready, waiting for a train to arrive in front of some rails. Not long after, a brown, metallic train appeared in the distance, making loud noises. As it got closer, Katherine could see a face in him. It was actually a digimon, but it had windows, seats and a door, as the girl could see once it stopped and everyone started getting inside. -We’re going to miss you, boss… -Boru started crying, once the moment of saying goodbye had begun. -Stupid Boru… -Jazz mumbled, tears in her eyes too. –Don’t make me cry now, we’ll see each other again.
Once the goodbyes had been said, and Jazz and Katherine were inside the train, they both stuck their head by the Trailmon’s window, as the three Psychemon waved goodbye at them. Once the train started moving, a group of round, small digimon started arriving at the station. -Thanks for everything Mrs. Jazz! -One of them yelled. –We’ll never forget you! –Another one shouted. Katherine quickly tied ends. -Are those… the baby digimon you guys have been helping? –She asked, with her head still out, turning at Jazz. The bunny’s eyes were covered in tears. The group of digimon started yelling, each and every one of them were saying thanks words to Jazz. Jazz had touched their hearts, no doubt. -Be good, everyone! –Jazz yelled crying and waving at them. – You’re the future of this world, so keep fighting for your dreams, no matter what! That day, Katherine and Jazz, the girl and the bunny, left Rustport to travel the Digital World and chase a dream, that would take them much further of what they imagined at that moment.
