Bellamy had to bite his lip here not to say anything. He had to be an impartial commentator after all, so thankfully he and his brother kept it short and sweet.
"Welcome to the last of the Round 2 losing bracket matches!" Luke said. "On the East Stand we have Katsura and her partner Nyao!"
"And on the West Stand we have Marshal and his partner Coronamon!" Bellamy added, although there was clearly a lot of love in his voice as he said that.
"Well then, could both combatants please take your positions and prepare for combat!"
1. Post within a week of it being your turn, otherwise you will concede the match to the other player. If a match takes more than 2 months, it will end and the outcome will be decided by judges.
2. Do not kill your opponent, aim to knock them out.
3. No targeting Katsura or Marshal (unless biomerged) and no cards.
4. No digivolving beyond what your opponent is capable of.
5. This match is non-canon, so don't worry about where this is in your characters' stories.
6. Please don't attack on your first post. This post is meant for introductions. You may begin the fight on your 2nd post.
I have flipped a coin and Marshal has the first turn.

Marshal and Coronamon stepped into the ring, more nervous than ever. Neither of them really had any recollection of their previous battle, just that they had been defeated by Elliot. Also, they hadn't even managed to see any of their new opponents matches, so they had entirely no idea what they were up against.
"What form do we even start with?" Coronamon wondered. "We have no idea what this Katsura person is capable of, or who they even are to begin with."
Marshal took a deep breath in through his nose and out through his mouth. He looked to Coronamon and smiled. "We'll figure it out shortly. Let's remember that we're just here to have a good time! Sure, a prize would be nice, but at the end of the day we're here to support Luke and Bellamy."
Coronamon smiled at the mention of the love of his life. "You're right. Let's do our best, no matter what!" The two of them made their grand entrance, fueled by the cheering of the crowd.

In Katsura and Nyao's chamber drama was at high. Nyao in particular was obviously frustrated over the past result.
"How could we lose by time?! It's not fair." "Nyao, it's just another competition." "If only I was allowed to fight proper we would have won." Katsura sighed annoyed. "You know we can't do that it's not allowed." Katsura pointed on a poster on the wall, on that spot there was written "Do not kill your opponent"
"That text says murder isn't allowed but it doesn't say anything about fighting." "Well I don't want it either." "Please Katsura, we tried it your way and we let everyone down. Can we please do it my way?" "We did? You want to fight for real? Fine... At least promise not to destroy them, you know how I feel about these things." Katsura then looked once at the tournament bracket.
"So who are we fighting this time... Marshal? I don't know a Marshal. Hmm, okay Nyao I think I got it. Nyao once we get into the ring follow my lead and don't evolve until this guy does. Okay?"
"Okay I guess."
And so Katsura walked out into the arena, in her arms she was carrying Nyao the blackgatomon. As she entered the Eastern wing people started cheering on. As Katsura reached the center suddenly she fell face first towards the dirt. Nyao jumped out and Katsura dropped among her other belongings her cards. The girl named Katsura giggled in a nervous manner along with the laughing audience.
"Sorry hehehe it's my first time, give me a second." Katsura picked up her belongings delaying the fight with 5 minutes. Then she smiled brightly and waved around.
"I'm Ise Katsura, this is my partner Nyao. Please be gentle with me." You had probably expected Nyao to go in battle position by now but no. She had rolled over on her back and was subsequently pet on her stomach. "Okay Nyao, let's do our best" Katsura said while giggling. Nyao then walked towards the edge of the Eastern Wing waiting for Coronamon

Something seemed off about this pair, and it unsettled Marshal immensely. However, he had no reason to believe that he should be holding back in this fight. The opponent entered the fray without taking the time to Digivolve, so Coronamon took the field without Digivolving as well. If the opportunity presented itself, he would take a higher form, but for now he was okay with building up to the good stuff.
"Let's have a good match!" Marshal said, remaining as pleasant as possible. Sure, the two pairs of partners would be fighting, but that didn't mean they couldn't at least stay cordial about it!
Coronamon wasted no time in charging at his BlackGatomon opponent. He prepared a fist of fire and lunged, ready to strike. "Corona Knuckle!" He shouted, beginning his assault post-haste. The burning red flames would sear into Nyao's fur and the punch would probably hurt at least a bit if it were to make contact.

Marshal seemed uncomfortable, to Katsura this was a good thing and the more uneasy Marshal acted the more confident in her abilities Katsura become. Even if Katsura kept up her behavior there were good reasons for Marshal to feel something was off. Another equally girly giggle escaped Katsura mouth as response to Marshall's wish to have a good match. Katsura's hand hang lazily down at the ground, as Coronamon charged Katsura twirled her index finger around next to her once.
Nyao sent Katsura a nod and countered the charge by circling around the arena. By the time Coronamon was ready to punch, Nyao was standing right in front of Marshal on the West wing staring at Coronamo's back. Katsura blinked and still ever more cheerful clapped.
"Yay! He's so cute!"
Nyao didn't stop circling around Coronamon but now her eyes glowed red and mere seconds later, Coronamon would find himself in a bullet hell as laser bullets shot out from Nyao's eyes with no sign of stopping anytime soon. Nyso was also prepared to alter between clockwise and counterclockwise to keep shooting Coronamon from behind
(AN: Nyao's gatomon form is a champion level, her current speed and damage output should reflect this.)

Coronamon wasn't expecting the level of speed this BlackGatomon exhibited. Before he even knew what was happening, the crafty cat was pelting him with lasers! He did his best to dodge as many as he could, but the sheer number of projectiles made it impossible to get out unscathed. Marshal, meanwhile, was cursing his own ineptitude. He had misjudged his opponents level, and they were already off on the wrong foot in the fight. While Coronamon tried and failed to dodge all of the Cat Lasers, Marshal whipped out his D-Arc and grabbed the proper card. With a quick swipe of the Blue Card, Coronamon's first transformation of the match was triggered.  "Coronamon Matrix Digivolve to...Flaremon!"Flaremon wasn't really expecting the Digivolution out of nowhere, but he couldn't say it was a bad thing! The Ultimate-level lion prepared an attack as more of the lasers made their way towards him, and with a mighty roar he used his Purifying Howl to dispel the projectiles before they could cause more damage. He might have still been on the defensive, but now he had the level advantage.

So far so good, Katsura had marked her mental gambit as a success. Marshall apparently didn't even consider that Nyao was a higher level let alone experienced in combat. Katsura watched Nyao shooting down Coronamon in a surprisingly effective display of tactics from a so-called first timer, there was an uncanny lack of emotional response in Katsura as if this didn't affect her at all, but who knows maybe this was just a big joke to the duo. Finally Marshal took out cards.
"Cards? I thought they were banned oh..."
It took took Katsura a moment to realize that cards were capable of digivolution but the girl quickly recognized the light when the little guy turned into a lion in front of her. With a large howl the Flaremon managed to cancel Nyao's attack prematurely, though this was also due to Nyao herself decided to stop. Nyao sent Katsura an expectant stare, Katsura shrugged at Nyao because she remembered the promise about digivolving if Coronamon did.
Then Katsura revealed her necklace, it was a tag that marked Katsura as the bearer of the crest of loyalty. Katsura clenched the tag in her fist as a beam of energy shot out from her digidevice, hit her tag and magnified. The large amount of energy then hit Nyao who was engulfed in light and started to grow human-like.
"Blackgatomon digivole to... Ladydevimon!"
Gone was the black feline and a dark angel stepped out of the light in her place. The fallen angel stretched her arms behind her back.
"Mmmmm" The dark angel moaned, someone might need to remind Nyao that children are watching this tournament.
She then crackled her head side to side, *knick knack* her neck said.
"Feels good to be back, alright let's do this quick. Darkness wave!"
Nyao confidently yelled as she slashed the air between her and Flaremon. A wide swarm of bats made of animated dark energy flew towards Flaremon. Jumping to the sides wasn't going to save Flaremon because Nyao aimed for the center covering both Flaremon's left and right simultaneously. Surprisingly, Nyao used this destructive attack mostly as a mere distraction; As soon as Flaremon stopped paying attention to her in favor of basic survival Nyao would take off in the sky giving Flaremon the illusion that Nyao disappeared. But if he was to look up he would see Nyao hovering with her arms crossed.
Flaremon succeeded in stopping cat laser.
Nyao digivoled to Ladydevimon
Nyao attacked with Darkness Wave, this is a wide attack and Flaremon is in the center.
Once Flaremon is distracted Nyao will fly up in the sky.
Darkness Wave: Creates a wave of darkness in the shape of bats that either harms as many as 3 targets dealing a fair amount of damage or seriously harm one target with a concentrated wave.

Flaremon may have started the match off on the wrong foot, but this was an opportunity to tip the scales in his favor. Once the opponent evolved, Flaremon took his stance and waited to see how the new form of LadyDevimon would react.
Almost immediately, the demon resumed her onslaught by launching a wave of dark energy in the shape of a multitude of bats. The attack was very wide, and there was no way for Flaremon to dodge to the sides. Thankfully, the beast had incredibly powerful legs, so before the attack could land he shot like a rocket into the air high above the stadium.
Marshal, meanwhile, closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Yes, he had made a miscalculation at the beginning, but this match was only getting started! With a newfound determination, he turned his focus back on Flaremon and the battle at hand.
As Flaremon sprang up into the air, he noticed that the LadyDevimon had also attempted to take to the skies. She was below him still, but it was possible that she didn't notice his escape from the previous attack. Seizing the opportunity to take control of the battle, he quickly and quietly let out a Crimson Beast-King Wave. The giant lion-shaped projectile ripped through the skies toward LadyDevimon. If it landed, it would deal a bit of damage and hopefully give Flaremon a chance to get in closer and attack.
-Flaremon jumps out of the wide arc of the Darkness Wave
-Flaremon, now slightly higher up than the flying LadyDevimon, launches Crimson Beast-King Wave. (Crimson Beast-King Wave: Gathers up energy, then lets it loose in the form of a lion-shaped fireball for massive damage.)

There were actually a lot of reasons why Nyao the Ladydevimon would want to take the fight up to the sky one of them being that her form was just that more suited for dog fighting and air supremacy, with that being said Flaremon proved to be more than capable of keeping up with her. By the time Nyao was airborne she looked up to notice that Flaremon was already there, this forced Nyao to alter her strategy a bit from first intended. But she wasn't going down without a fight! When Flaremon launched a large fireball towards Nyao strange things was happening. Way before the fireball could realistically burn Nyao, she was already leaking smoke as if she was getting over-roasted. And in a blink and you missed it moment Nyao seemly turned into a line of gas and the fireball flew right through the edge of this rectangular cloud of smoke. Wings sprouted out from the other edge of the cloud revealing an unharmed Ladydevimon with a smug smile and a little grin. Did Nyao just teleport? It certainly looked that way through the naked eyes.
Nyao took a second to achieve orientation over the situation and mentally prepare for Flaremon, and was ready for more. There was a brief slip in Katsura's performance as she let out an annoyed sigh at the sight of Nyao.

Shadow rush [RAM Upgrade]: A variant of gas-form, Nyao turns semi-corporal with most limbs turning into gas eliminating friction and smaller obstacles from the calculation. For one post, Nyao can achieve a high speed. This form is difficult to control, let alone steer. It is recommended for Nyao to spend the most time running in a straight line. She is allowed to fly in this form though. CD: 3 Posts. |

Flaremon was sure that his attack would connect, but was a little unnerved to see his opponent evaporate into smoke and appear on the other end of his fireball. However, now she seemed to be vulnerable. With a grin, he prepared for his next move. "Marshal, now!" he called out as his body crashed toward the ground.
"Right!" Marshal nodded, back in the game. He thrust his Digivice into the air, and a brilliant orange glow radiated from the screen. At the same time, Flaremon began to evolve once more.
"Flaremon Mega Digivolve to...Aldamon!"
With a flourish, the newly-evolved Mega unfurled his wings and shot through the air, now rising up to meet his enemy. With the weapon on his arm at the ready, he slashed at the Ultimate, hoping to finally leave a mark. "Solar Slash!" he called, hoping to psych himself up while also unnerving the opponent.
Flaremon Digivolves to Aldamon.
Aldamon uses Solar Slash: Aldamon heats up the weapons on his arms and slashes mercilessly at the opponent.

Hearing Marshal loudly yelling "now" was a cue for Nyao to be on her highest guard. She shifted her attention to Marshal spawning a face that spelled "Oh crap" in response to him activating his digidevice again. It didn't take a genius to realize that whatever Flaremon would become this was not an attack Nyao could afford to get hit of which is why she was doing a nosedive and skydived towards the ground, now did you think Nyao would outspeed a mega as Ladydevimon? No? Well you were right but for some reason neither that or the inevitable meeting with the ground seemed to concern Nyao who by the time she was mere feet above the ground Flaremon Aldamon hit... Right through Nyao who for some reason poofed completely right before the combined Solar Slash and crash with the ground would do her in.
Katsura thought through this, she came to the conclusion that there was only way to end this arms race. Once again Katsura clenched her tag and a massive dark red beam shot out and hit the cloud. The gas started glowing and collected itself into a large humanoid form. Laughter could be heard from the cloud which grew taller than before, much taller.
"Ladydevimon warp digivolve to... Mervamon." The light disappeared and where there was once a gas and before a demoness there was now a 9'5 tall valkyrie with what looked like a snake arm.
The valkyrie lacking wings landed on her feet nearby Aldamon whom she was staring down.
"And here I thought it would be a nice quick fight, what a mistake I made. Oh, well." Nyao shrugged and drew her oversized sword up in the sky, apparently Nyao thinks she's he-man. Either way, the audience cheered at Nyao at that point.
Nyao led Aldamon to dive towards the ground

Katsura digivoled Nyao to mervamon
Gas form: (counter/active ability) Nyao turns into a cloud of black smoke reminiscent of extinguished fire. Being incorporeal, Nyao can dodge most attacks as they will literally hit the air. Nyao must decide how she intends to re-manifest no later than the following post (pose, location etc.) Nyao's control over the form is limited to maintaining her mass: Nyao has no control over such things like wind, however the cloud will always reassemble its pieces if torn apart. Being a sentient cloud, Nyao is unable to do anything at all except maintaining mass or re-manifesting. (cool-down 2 posts counted from re-manifestation)
