"I would love to peruse your collection if you do not mind me doing so. I'm rather passionate about books." She murmured more then a little excited at the prospect of such learning at her fingertips. Truly it would mean spending a bit of time here, but doing so would likewise give her a chance to observe Wizardmon at work and see if he was serious or not about the expedition and get a message on the sly to Mikemon to put him on the right track.
However, Wizardmon's words gave her pause. "The Dark Area huh? Can you think of any area in the Dark Area that's near the same age as the Sea of Blood possibly? Sunken Elysium was my first thought given it's recent discovery and the higher likely hood of there being intact information further into it's depths though...there's also the Ancient Ruins in the Folder Desert. Still I think Fragment village is relatively new...perhaps deeper into the Grotto or..." The Sorcerermon paused musing on the suggestion however flippant it might have been. The Wizardmon's words while joking having some merit. What area of the Dark Area could possibly be as old as the....
Argents thoughts trailed off.
"Would the Core of Darkness be relative in age you think?" She questioned softly.

"By all means, take your time. Your contribution to this has been more than enough already." He extended his arms out to the bookshelf, and even pulled out one to start, detailing the characteristics of the currently-known agents. From 'Scouts' to 'Paratice' to even the 'Optimizer', Argent would be able to at least get a general idea of how they would operate.
"Hm... the best place where age has been preserved, I'd think, would be the Grotto of Sorrow, though one would have to go pretty deep - and risk quite a bit - to get far enough inside." Perhaps the Sea was their best bet after all. However, at the recommendation of the Core of Darkness?
The Wizardmon gave a chuckle. "It may very well be, but it actually doesn't seem like the D-Reaper is too interested in that place. Aside from a small nest in a perimeter outside, once one gets closer to it the D-Reaper simply doesn't operate at all. The, um, 'Digital World' as you know it doesn't function the same there. You might call it a 'Dark World' or something such as that - an interesting expedition, but not one that would give us relavent fruit."

"Thank you. If you don't mind I may impose on you for a bit longer to read through your library then." Argent murmured flashing the Wizardmon a small smile half hidden behind her scarf. The Grottos of Sorrow was indeed an interesting target though the Core of Darkness held her attention far more raptly. Perhaps there were no D-reaper nests there to study, but anything that could prevent the Reapers spread of that caused it trouble was of interest to them. Though the Sorcerermon would leave their curiosity unspoken for the moment with the attention to explore such places at a later date.
"I've seen pictures of Scouts and even a Paractice head, but what is an Optimizer?" The Researcher questioned as Argent pointed out the unfamiliar Agent displayed on the page before them. Well informed was after all well-armed and pulling out a notebook the Sorcermon was careful to take notes.

"By all means." He gave a nod, and left Argent to her reading, the Wizardmon taking the time to pull out a fresh notebook to start on the plans for the expedition to the Sea of Blood.
But of course, Argent's curiosity perked up a question almost immediately - just what was an 'Optimizer'? "Well, its one thing to just see a picture, but there's a bit more to it than that. If you don't mind me taking the long way around... how about from the bottom up?"
If allowed, he'd go into more detailed explanations, starting from the weakest agent, the Scout (X). "The 'Scout', or the 'Searcher', has no offensive quality of its own, but its able to see layers deep into the data structure of Digimon. It is the eyes of the nest, and most likely, its eyesight is shared with the other agents - many of which do not have eyes themselves."
Next? Bubbles (X). "These are composite gunners, using all four arms as a sort of energy cannon, firing bullets at a steady, repetitive rate towards a single target. The Pendulum Feet (X) acts as the D-Reaper's anti-air defenses, able to use both proximity and timed mines, as well as attack with the several scythes hidden in its cloak. Those are the three 'small' class D-Reaper. But there's also two 'large' and one 'giant' class."
The large ones were composed of the Horn Striker, "An agent with no particular abilities, that excels at close-range combat and grappling," and the Paratice Head, "An agent that can mimic sound, and attack with both energy blasts and sonic screams."
Finally, the giant: the Optimizer. "The Optimizer, here, is on par with a Super Mega. Its entire body is used to charge electrical energy, which it can throw out as a static strike, or discharge in one blast - something we've dubbed 'The Mjolnir'." The Wizardmon gave a sigh, shaking his head. "It has a weakness via its cable below, but there has never been one whose come out of a fight with an Optimizer unscathed. That much electrical energy is very problematic."

"No please by all means the more I learn the better." Argent murmured motioning to the book with a smile as she quickly jotted down notes at Wizardmon's various descriptions of the agents they currently knew of that the D-reaper produced itself.
"I've heard the D-reaper will occasionally capture and convert digimon into D-agents which are different from it's normal agents with of course those with a full D-virus infection becoming D-agents as well. Though it's likely they use some such individuals if compatible as Cores for nests if our theory about the Cores is correct. I wonder what criteria they use to determine a suitable Core host." The Sorcermon mused flipping through the book thoughtfully.
"I suspect each D-agent is unique since they are created from infected Digimon and the few I've heard of don't always require a cord." They mused glancing up at Wizardmon briefly before continuing to delve through his work with rapt interest.

With Argent's permission, Wizardmon's information flowed like wine - and the notes that the Sorcermon made quickly followed. She seemed to catch on pretty quick, but as for the 'D-Agents'?
"Unfortunately, the process of indoctrination is something we know less about than we probably should." He gave a sigh: "There have been those that have been made agents who direct the D-Reaper from within the core; there have been those that have been made agents who fight outside the core; and there have been unwillful agents who have been trapped inside the core, while the D-Reaper creates a 'double', a specialized agent, outside to act on its whim. How it decides which... that's likely on the specific nest's needs or attributes."
Past that, well, the Wizardmon could at least confirm one thing: "But yes. Even if they have a core, if severed, such specialized agents will persist on their own. An agent might even 'meld' to them to replace a lost cable... hm. Hopefully that's not an attribute they will learn to attribute to their own giants."
He paused. "Or maybe they already do..."

"The D-reaper has proven to be very...adaptive." Argent murmured, "At least from what I have seen and heard. It rarely falls for the same trick twice and typically makes adjustments during and after an encounter." The Sorcerermon spoke tapping her pencil lightly against the paper in thought as she took her notes.
"It's one weakness seems to be that it does not appear to be fully sentient and thus has no predictive abilities allowing it to pre-plan and theorize problems it might encounter in the future. Though nests with the right core may be somewhat capable of such feats though by bringing an agent fully under the will of the D-reaper they likely lose most of their capacity for free and predictive thought." She theorized leaning back in her chair as she read through the book quietly. Allowing their conversation to taper off as both of the digimon became absorbed in their own thoughts and research with Argent rising every so often to exchange one book for another.
It was strangely nice, this companionable quiet.
