Wake... up... please...
Gentle words, kind words of her own voice in her own mind. Like a soft touch and even softer breath did she feel escape from her own lips. Groggily did she open those eyes; painfully did they stay open. Her body felt like lead, her chest was on fire, her arm.. hurt far greater than she thought. She could feel a pressure on her chest, on her arms. Weakly did she shift her head; groaning softly as she could feel the pain hike a bit.
She... was in control?
It took a few moments for her to realize this; to state this. Was this just another falsehood to her? The restraints seemed simple enough, strong enough to restrain someone capable of rookie level or perhaps even champion just for a safe touch.
Damn her head hurt
Weaker still did she put her head back against the pillow. She was safe in whatever place that mikemon probably had put out if this wasn't a facade. If this wasn't just that mage playing tricks on her; trying to give her hope before taking it away.
Her eyes wandered and she was gifted with a rather plain room. While somewhat lavish in her own judgement in comparison to what she was expecting. Hell she even had a window to look out of if the blinds weren't closed for her comfort. Likely while she had been out cold or something. Perhaps her dislike of lavish things was because of the way she lived before everything or perhaps it was because she never seemed to get comfortable anywhere else?
How can you get comfortable when you're always on guard...?
Slowly did she manage to work through that it really hurt to swallow; really hurt to breathe through her mouth. Like someone had laid down razors all along her mouth and throat. Grimacing and with a cough she'd manage a single somewhat exhausted word.
"...H...Hell...Hello?"
Her query to the world brought a shift in her stature against the bed. She had pulled just a little too hard against her restraints and could feel not one... but two arms. She felt her breath catch in her throat and she look down at her right arm. Eyes widened and a strangled sound emerged from her throat.
That was not her arm.
It was some other digimon's arm; some other poor creature that had given up either their data or their life for this.. this thing. She let out a long exhale and tugged her arm against the restraints; feeling the pain of it. What was she doing with an arm of another beast type?
"H-haven't... Oth-...."
The renamon as soon as she started speaking, felt her throat seize up and she was left in a coughing fit that nearly made her pass out. With a wheezing gagging sound she'd limply lay back against the pillow with a somewhat pityful sound...
....Just... where am I?

K wasn't alone.
After all that had happened - after that mark had torn control away from her body - Mikemon hadn't left K's side ever since he had managed to recover her. It had been a bit of a ride to get here, of course. Wicked's own magic had managed to heal her wounds, and a Sorcermon, a rare visitor to Fragment Village, was able to remove the marks from K's frame and even transport them, via magic stone, for further analysis. But there would be little way to know just how far her mind had gone. Was the Renamon that the doctor knew still underneath those tired eyes?
Mikemon wouldn't have to wait long. Having fallen asleep on a soft chair on the side of the room, his ear perked at the fox's voice, and even the rattling of the restraints. His eyes slowly opened, resting on that fox that struggled even to breathe. Of course, just what could one expect? She woke up in a strange room, tied to a table, after enduring such a harsh fight.
"... Finally awake?"
It took a moment, but Mikemon finally decided on his words, the cat making his way to her side. He stood up on a small bench, so that she wouldn't have to strain her neck downward, and simply looked into her eyes. Cautiously, he'd ask:
"K... is it you?"
His hand carefully reached up, a small healing glow resting at the top of her chest - enough to seep gently into the neck.

She wasn't alone
The renamon's coughing fit, her confusion and the strange place that she was in just made it more and more problematic for her. Was this just another cruel machination from the wisemon? Thousands upon thousands of questions descended in her mind as she drew in a rattling and rather painful breath. She couldn't even manage to jerk her head when she heard mikemon speak.
Her eyes slowly eased from the ceiling down to where she saw... Him. Him of all people. She felt her heart wrench a bit and she'd move her mouth a few times as though she wanted to speak; she wanted to move and she wanted to do something but all she could see was the pain. All she could see was his pain. She vaguely knew of what transpired after losing control.
She was gifted with a small bit of healing that seeped into her neck making those razors turn into just an itching sensation. With a soft cough she'd draw in a small somewhat raspy breath and simply nod.
"Y-yes.. I... I'm awake and... It... hurts quite a bit..."
She'd exhale softly and scrunch her eyes shut as though begging this not to be a dream of her own design a way to escape the torture of being locked in her own core staring at the reflection of herself.
"...After... whitewater I don't... remember anything I.. What did I do? Is.. is everyone okay...?"

Even as K simply woke from her forced slumber, Mikemon was already starting to scan her data - to look for any inconsistencies, to see if anything was overly 'different' than what he could remember.
He fully understood that she wouldn't be in the best condition right now, but she seemed to at least be herself. Her words were her own, her form was her own. Seeing her struggle to speak, looking eye-to-eye with the Renamon, he'd give a slow nod. "I won't say we've had the best time of it, K... but everyone's fine." He started his explanation light, carefully working that healing spell through her frame. "You - as a Raguelmon - attacked the Library, but we were able to put a stop to it before anyone was too far gone. They're frazzled, yes, but alive."
He gave a gentle smile, and moving down, he'd undo the restraints on her arms, using a small key hidden within his glove. Each wrist, each ankle, and one across her center - each came undone with a click, until the Renamon would finally be free from those binds. "Sit up slowly, hun." His direction was calm and clear, as he took a half-step back. "It might take a minute or two for your balance to come back."

There were many inconsistancies, many changes. Many fluxuations; the mark had done a great deal of damage to the way her data flowed and it was plainly obvious that it was starting to shift back to how it was supposed to. But she certainly seemed muddled. Strands of data that didn't seem to make any sense made themselves known and apparent. But ultimately there was one thing that was perfectly clear.
Her cat data had started to shift to follow the proper flow of things. The mark data had been wholly removed and she was herself in the firmest sense of the word. She looked pained, she looked exhausted and even her data reflected that.
"I'm.. I'm sorry but... that's G.... Good.. at least."
The renamon closed her eyes and let out a slow exhalation as that healing worked through her frame. She could feel the pain ease out of her body, her muscles and limbs shifting slightly. However his next statement caught her off guard.
Raguelmon.
Her eyes snapped open and she'd stare at the mikemon. He was never one for lying, never one for glazing over things. He wouldn't lead her wrong in this sort of fashion. But she didn't know of that form; she barely knew of her meicrackmon form thanks to the hunter. But a mega evolution?
It took her a moment and she'd tiredly lay her head down against the pillow screwing her eyes shut. There was that week up in the mountains that the bloody marked version of her probably used to develop that digivolution. With her own power as the catalyst and their Meicrackmon data...
"...I barely knew of the Meicrackmon form I have. I... they must of developed it when I hid in the mountains. But I'm glad you were able to stop me..."
The mikemon took the time to unlock the renamon's restraints. Slowly but surely was she able to sit up; very slowly as she could feel her body groan in protest. She looked herself over avoiding looking at the arm that had replaced her own at first. It seemed like a lot of damage had been done to her. Several punctures of her torso and stomach area, pockets of other injuries that she suspected had healed over from either treatment or natural healing. The only reason she even knew that much as because of the lack of complete fur in the affected areas. She let out a sharp exhalation when seeing her arm holding it up in a somewhat confused manner.
"...Wha... What is this Dear? I... My balance has always been good you... you know that."
She'd place a hand to her head, unconsciously making it the one that had been replaced. She'd visibly flinch and stare at him with a look of regret and concern.
"...You all must of had to fight pretty hard for me to be in this shape... How did you even get the mark off...? Where did thi.. This come from?"
The renamon gestured to her 'arm' which had most of the hair raised from the sensations that were flowing through it. It felt like her body had grown accustomed to having just one arm but it was really hard to tell...

Mikemon didn't expect perfection - no Digimon had perfectly settled data, after all. But considering everything that had happened, the amount of damage she had taken and likely being forced into an unfamiliar form, K was doing remarkably well.
Seeing her surprise to the mention of that form - her restraints thankfully keeping her against the bed - the Mikemon let out a visible wince. Clearly, this was a sore spot for her, something that K would have preferred to stay under wraps... but, ultimately, it seemed to have all worked out.
"Of course, I'd be there for you no matter what, hun. Now, slowly..."
Slowly, he'd allow her to sit up. She would still 'sting', of course, the varied marks and wounds around her battered body having taken their toll, but she'd definitely feel that the severe damage had been long patched up. As she mentioned the arm, Mikemon himself would give a shudder, before giving a sigh. "Don't worry, that wasn't donated from an outsider." Giving a tap over his own chest, he gave a one word explanation:
"Rapidmon."
It wasn't the whole core, but a donation of a fair amount of data nonetheless. Indeed, it was a rabbit arm. "It will eventually fall into your normal data structure - give it two weeks to a month and you'll not even know the difference from before."
That aside - and with the arm explained - she asked about the mark. "Its a less exciting story than you'd think - a Sorcermon expert in runes and enchantments extracted them from your data. He's currently investigating their composition now."
Simple enough, right? With everything said and done, the cat stepped up onto the table...
... And threw his arms around K, in a firm hug.

The strain of the fight and the new form certainly was something to be considered. Something that would probably cause some problems here or there if she wasn't careful. Perhaps the reason for her exhaustion and such was because of how long she must of spent in both of those forms.
Why wouldn't she be surprised? There was no real reason she should of have expected him to say a form higher of one she was capable of in that line of digivolution. What worried her more was the potential of that lines continued growth. Strength or not; it was worrying.
"I.. I know."
She could feel the pain from her sitting up; the stinging in her throat and lungs. The small twitches from where she had taken the most damage while in the fight. Her chest and stomach were where she felt the most pain. Her head jerked however as he explained where the arm came from. Looking down at it she'd blink slowly.
"....Tch... You really.. Sometimes you're far too good to me..."
She'd close her eyes and let out a small sigh. A few weeks to a month before the arm would fade into her data structure. It would feel the same and act the same but until then she'd likely have to wrap it up or just stay sheltered so that others wouldn't be drawn to her further.
"Thank you dear. It'll take some getting used to between now and then I think."
Her ears flicked and perked up as the feline explained how they had gotten the mark off. She was somewhat concerned to say the least but she wasn't going to argue with the fact that she no longer had the marks and that someone that knew what they were doing was taking care of it.
"Good.. Good... I have another person to tha-"
She was somewhat taken back by the sudden and firm hug that she was given. There was a raspy exhalation and she'd carefully hug around the feline with both arms screwing her eyes shut... and just enjoying being able to feel again.
"...I don't even know where to start..."
She'd sigh a bit and there was a few long moments of silence before her ears flicked again. She'd slowly open her eyes up and stare at the mikemon. She had some recollection of the fight in whitewater and her fleeing but there was one thing that she needed to make sure.
"...Is our egg okay?"

Too good? Mikemon didn't think that at all - in fact, he felt terrible that he didn't notice that K was controlled far earlier. But for now, he simply let that comment pass, instead remarking on the next one: "Its your arm, it'll still respond mostly how you would like it to. But yes, a bit of a learning curve."
That aside? He gave that hug, just needing to feel the real K in her arms, even feeling her own embrace gently returned around his own. It had been so long, and the doctor had feared that he'd lost this touch forever. So much had happened since the last time that...
... That...
... The egg? Mikemon blinked, his ear twitching at K's sudden concern. Of course it made sense, she'd be concerned for her child, but the response might be just as heart-wrenching. "The egg? Well, Syre is waiting one room over." He gave a small blink, breaking his eye contact with the fox, just trying to piece together the best way to say it.
"... She's been waiting to see you. I... I wish you could have been there when she first hatched. Such a cute YukimiBotamon - I know she would have just melted your heart."
Just what else was there to say? He gave a small sigh. "Do you want to see her, then?"

The renamon let out a smooth sigh and pressed her face against mikemon letting out an earnest sound of relief that she was actually feeling things again. That she was able to move of her own volition; that she could think and act without the hidous vibes of that mage crawling through her mind. She took the gentle time to grip mikemon's back; enjoying the sensation of his fur on hers and even let out another rather pleased sound at the fact.
"I don't mind taking the time... I'm just glad I'll be able to."
The renamon blinked a little bit as she could feel the mikemon move slightly in response to her query about the egg. Pulling her head back there was a look of concern on her face. Something akin to insane worry spread on her face but...
Syre.
The renamon's core skipped a beat.
She'd sit back staring at him blinking owlishly and rather slowly. She'd open and close her mouth and then blink again. Bringing a hand up to her head she'd trying to speak but the words were catching in her throat. She'd grip her chest looking stunned by learning not only was their egg okay.
It had hatched of all things.
Into a YukimiBotamon.
There were several long moments of silence which the renamon worked through all of this. Still blinking and trying to speak about this. She'd close her eyes and let out a long breath that seemed far more relieved than it should. Her answer was pretty damn simple; though the reaction that she had was far more complicated. After all a wetness had started to stain her cheeks thanks to the tears that the renamon just started to notice...
"...Yes..."

It was a lot to take in at once, wasn't it?
There was no egg. K had a daughter. And she'd been longing to see her mother. Mikemon could feel the twists and turns the Renamon's heart took in those several moments, the relief, the worry, and the excitement brimming through her expression. That one word was all the doctor needed to hear, Mikemon giving her a confident smile, briefly taking a hand - her hand - between his hands.
"I'll be right back, then." Giving a nod, he stepped away, and opened the door right outside, giving a wave to a far wall. "Syre? Syre, c'mon over. And be careful, alright?" Those words weren't how one would talk to an infant - Syre wasn't a YukimiBotamon, not anymore. Opening the door wide, Mikemon stepped off to the side as Syre, the BlackGatomon - with even a ring at the end of her tail - walked in. She seemed uncertain, for a moment, her own amber eyes looking over to the fox.
The fox that was never there.
The fox that tried to attack the Libary.
The fox who wasn't even there when she was born.
Her own heart was bleeding with emotion - and honestly, Syre didn't even know how she'd act until she was there. But, after a moment, she closed her eyes, tears budding up, as she ran right on up - and practically leaped into K's arms.
"Mom!"
She gave a tight hug around K's torso, crying right into her mane as a well of emotions all broke out at once. She was finally here - she could talk to her, she could finally know who her mom was! "Mom... there's so much I want to ask, mom!" She didn't know where to start... and even after it all, Mikemon couldn't help but chuckle, watching a short distance away.

K sat there quietly; anticipation brimming throughout her body. She hadn't a clue what she was going to say to a YukimiBotamon; something that would gurgle and chime to her. Something that would require mikemon to leave the room to go and.. get..
She'd gingerly squeeze back but looked curiously as he stepped away; opening the door and waving at someone. That wasn't how you addressed a fresh digimon or an in training. She'd furrow her brows slightly looking confused. It wasn't how you addressed an infant at all. The door opened wide and a small somewhat pained gasp escaped her.
A Blackgatomon.
A BlackGatomon that had a ring.
A black Gatomon that was her daughter.
Words failed her, words failed her and caught in her throat. She could only manage a small somewhat strangled sound as not only did her daughter do exactly what she had hoped. She went a step further just like her father and leaped into her arms for a hug. The hugh of which was immediately returned; tears streaming down her cheeks as she returned that hug as best she could. A small wheezing breath escaping from her.
It took some time for her to even manage a single word, what on earth was she supposed to say to her? What was K supposed to say to her daughter? How was she supposed to address the fact that she had failed her daughter in the largest way possible? But the thing was...
She was here now, and that was where she wanted to stay.
"S...Syre."
The renamon ran her hands through her daughters fur, giving a firm somewhat relieved hug. Pressing her head against the top of the black fur that seemed so strangely opposite to hers but she knew without a doubt that this was her daughter. This was her child.
"A... ask? You... we... We have time, I can.."
There was a choked sound and the renamon gripped her daughter tightly to her chest and let out a long sobbing cry that just was going to end up getting the cat a touch wet. She was so happy she was practically in tears. Beyond tears even...

Words weren't coming that smoothly to Syre, either. What could she say right now, that wouldn't unsettle the moment?
That hug returned was all the BlackGatomon could have really asked for. Feeling the Renamon's arms held tightly around her back, Syre kept herself close, burying her head in K's mane as both struggled for words. Her ear did perk up, as K spoke her name. The cat gave a nod through her sniffing words, feeling her mother's head press atop her own.
This was undoubtedly her mother.
And she was finally here to listen. Finally calming down, just a bit, Syre pulled back just a bit, wiping her eyes against her gloves. "I... I just never got to learn about you. I've heard stories - about your meditation, your deeds, your Saberk - but I don't even know what kind of 'mon you are. How did you meet dad? When was the first time you used fire or ice? How did you grow up? I mean... I know I'm rushing questions here, but... I just want to know you, mom!"
There was nothing purer than that, really! Mikemon, for the moment, stayed silent in the background, sitting in a small chair off to the side. This, well...
This was a long time coming.

It was hard to put things to words. It was honestly difficult for the renamon to do more than just hug her daughter right here right in front of her. It was something that K felt that she never deserved, something that she felt that she never truly worked for. She didn't know how to handle her daughter, how to handle the fact they were in front of her in the data, in the flesh. She could actually reach out and touch her daughter.
She could easily see those ears perk up, she could feel the same sort of emotions pouring from this little one hugging so tightly against her. She could feel her own core beating a mile a minute and the renamon timidly limited herself so that the BlackGatomon would be free to move as she wanted. Then her daughter started to speak; her little syre had questions and wanted to know more about her mother.
"That's.. not surprising that you've heard second hand things from someone... Ugh.. I should of been there when you hatched, I should.. I should of stayed and waited instead of trying to make someone that hadn't even hatched proud of me..."
The renamon rubbed her eyes, trying to get the tears from stopping but failed pretty badly at it. Sniffing a little bit she'd rub her muzzle and stare down at her daughter.
"Uhm... We-well..."
The bout of questions that Syre pushed out made the fact that the renamon not being there had been a bad thing. Incredibly. She barely knew her mother past her deeds and instead of being able to witness her firsthand K had been what? Off fighting in some distant place that few would know of for a couple years?
"Lets... see here well... I met your father back when I used to run an inn. The first time I used fire well.. would be back when I was still very young; it's been kind of innate and well..."
She'd turn her head to look at mikemon, those tears drying up a bit but still flowing quite nicely.
"It was... in your father's clinic a few months ago for Ice at least and Uhm..."
The renamon leaned back a little bit looking her daughter over slowly. A gentle hand ran through the Blackgatomon's fur before if she was allowed; to give them another softer hug.
"I grew up in the northern promince. Part of the reason my fur is so uh.. thick and well.. I don't.. mind answering them. I wish you didn't have to rush them, well.. you DON'T have to rush them I'll.. I'll be staying around for a good while."
The renamon would sigh softly.
"Lord where to even start.. how to even start? W-what about you? Last time I saw you, you were an egg! I.. How was your first digivolution? Your second by the look of it!"
The renamon curiously tapped her daughter's head with a finger rather affectionately.
"You've grown so much in such a short time, have you been eating properly? Who told you about me? Mikemon?"
She wasn't surprised that others had filled in her daughter about their mother. She really wasn't but it lead to the fact that they wouldn't know everything and wouldn't know how to address everything So the renamon took a small breath and exhaled slowly.
"And.. you'll get to learn about me more as we'll be living together right?"

Aw, 'her little Syre'. She definitely had several questions - many stated, and even more simply waiting in the wings. The cat had never had a chance to know her mom - where was she from, what kind of person was she? As K started to speak, Syre's ear twitched, the cat listening as best as she could.
About how K was an innkeeper. How she was a fox from the north. About how she used fire for most of her life, and how ice was something quite new to her. "Mm... that must be why your fur is so full, and... why its white?" Did that make sense? Syre didn't exactly know, but it was a decent-enough guess! "And I just wanted to know about the fire and ice and the Saberk because... well, I can do them too!" She smiled, with a nod! "And dad told me that it reminded him of you! I... I guess I just wanted to show you. Sometime, anyway."
Not now, of course - K had her own questions! Hearing them, the cat gave a small chuckle: "Heh... well, I woke up as a rookie one day, don't really know how to explain it. As for the second... I got into a bit of a 'fight' and had to Digivolve. I, um... kinda got grounded over that one, but we're all good now!" She had broken eye contact for a moment to explain that much - but as for eating properly? "Yeah? I mean, there's enough at the Library, and... well, of course dad told me about you. Oh, Dio did too!"
Sheesh, so much, all at once - and even a promise of living together! "Mhm!" Taking that as a promise, Syre hugged around K once more, giving a nod - simply ecstatic to hear about it! At that much, Mikemon added his own chuckle.
"K, you always have a home with us. If you ever need to just settle down, well... you're my love, my wife, alright? You never need to ask."

The renamon shifted slightly noting that of course distinctly somethign was off. Her cloak. She didn't have her cloak; blinking owlishly she'd look down at herself and then to her daughter at the next question that they presented to her. Even giving her fur gentle praise; something a child would do to their parent. She curiously ran her hand through the BlackGatomon's fur in curiosity. Had she ended up with her thick fur too?
"Erm... Well."
There was a moment of hesitation and the renamon sighed before trying to think of how best to explain her being an Apostle of a long gone knight. Mulling it over she'd twitch her ears and perk up at the fact that not only could her Syre use fire or Ice... They could use Saberk too?
"That's amazing! I'd love to see them sometime, maybe when I'm not... inside and feeling a touch better."
The renamon paused after a moment and gave her daughter another hug. The tears finally stopping; the renamon felt tired, exhausted even! But she was happy beyond belief. At Syre's explanation's the renamon tilted her head a little bit. The first one was just sudden? Made sense; once a digimon was comfortable enough they would reach that sort of level on their own. Much like how K had all those years ago. However the explanation about her 'fight' made K blink a few times. Shooting a curious but worried look to mikemon.
Then.
Then came the 'there's enough' part about her explanation about the food. She'd frown slightly and tilt her head ever so slightly. While it was frustrating to learn that her daughter was picking up that particular habit it was nothing she couldn't fix.
"Oh so you've met Dio as well! that's good! I presume you've met his tamer as well? Both of them are students of mine. Or.. were."
A small sigh and shake of the head before she'd firmly hug the BlackGatomon for as long as she'd let her. The renamon had a way to answer her daughters question about the fur but then Mikemon spoke about her always having a home here and how...
"I know. And... I did some thinking about it. One of my forms has a very long range teleport. So it doesn't matter the distance, doesn't matter the place our home is. I'll make sure to come back every night I'm able to."
The renamon sighed softly and gave him a sweet smile.
"I know Husband I know... but as far as settling down goes? I don't know if I can do that any time soon. People still need my help and I can't look the other way. But that doesn't mean I won't be here, that I won't be around. Family first."
The renamon sighed softly and looked at the ground mulling it over.
"As for the fur Syre, I had a bit of a rough time a few months back that required a core to help stabilize me. It reacted with the ones I had at the time and well.. White fur, some Jesmon symbology and a red cape-"
There was a momentary pause, and like magic did the garment in question practically spring from it's owner's form in a flurry of data. The renamon looked somewhat confused for a moment and gave mikemon one of the most amused looks that she could muster.
"-Like the one that just.. sprouted out of no where. Trust me Syre, it was.. quite an interesting experience but not one I'd suggest trying unless you absolutely need it."
The renamon sighed sweetly and motioned for mikemon to come over to the two of them... If the feline did? Well she'd pull the two in a big group hug! Though ti was no where as firm as the earlier one that she managed with syre. As the fox was still exhausted...
"Once I'm feeling better... How does a home-made dinner sound? Least I can do..."
