Arthur sat on his bed, his elbows resting on his legs with his hands clasped together in front of his face. His gaze was fixed on the small red and blue device that his monitor had miraculously birthed. As if that wasn’t weird enough, when he had touched the then glowing monitor, his fingers had sunk in it, feeling less like plastic and glass and more like really thick syrup. By that point, he was checking his coffee to see if hsi Quik Kups were either expired or spiked and, again, the whole situation made even less sense when the device called him out by name and ordered him to go to the train station in Central Shibuya.
Now, Arti was beginning to wonder if all the sleepless nights and stress had made him snap and he’d finally lost his mind. What a perfect way to spend the rest of his life: locked u in the loony bin crowing about supernatural computers. The young man lowered his head slightly, rubbing his temples with his thumbs and groaning in frustration at the hand he thought life had decided to deal him. A sudden, loud noise pulled him out of his self pity party with a jolt, causing him to to jump and band his head on the bed frame.
“Owwww…” he moaned as he gently rubbed the back of his head, wincing as his fingers brushed the sensitive spot. The source of the noise was, unsurprisingly, the mystery device on his desk. It had beeped loudly to get his attention and was back to spouting out about going to the train station again. He growled in annoyance as the device chirped at him again, standing up and grabbing it off of his desk before throwing his jacket on and stomping out of his dorm.
Arthur grumbled under his breath as he put the device into his pocket, running his fingers through his hair as he tried to get a grip on reality again. He hopped on his bike, still mumbling to himself as he began pedaling towards the train station. He was hardly paying attention as he zoomed down the street, yet he didn’t hit anyone or crash into anything, strangely. He reached the train station without much trouble and the device was beeping at him again. Arti retrieved the device from his pocket, where an arrow had appeared. As he turned, the arrow turned, acting much like a compass, which Arti followed. He pushed his way through the crowd, staring down at the devices screen until the top of his head bounced off of a locked gate with a soft clang.
“Ow…” he said again, rubbing the top of his head as he looked up at the gate in confusion. “What the hell…?” Almost before he even had time to question it, the device in his hand beeped again, the lock popped off, and the gate slowly swung open. He hesitated for a moment, before shrugging and walking through. How much weirder could it really get?

If there was one thing Mae had learned by spending a day out here? It was that the human world had been far more different than the Digital World than she could ever expect. Or hope to prepare for, really. Plus, people gave her weird looks all the time. Was her holosuit really that strange?
...Then again, it was a silver-haired girl with Meicoomon eyes. That had to strike fear into at least one heart or two. Either way. She was, more or less, homeward bound from here. The 'human' kept her gaze down as she weaved through the crowd and found the gate she had been looking for. Trailmon past here. All good.
Today was oddly one of the calmest days in her entire existence. Though, she couldn't quite account for the human on the same path as her. "Dododo...." The disguised Digimon mumbled as she continued on her way before she decided to talk to the human. "Heading somewhere?"

Another day at the train station! It was getting easier and easier to sneak out of that dusty old orphanage, to the point where Rena was now leaving for entire days at a time. Maybe they just didn't care about her anymore. Oh well, good for them, the less care, the better, and that goes for anything and everything!
The blonde deliquent loved to hang around train stations like this one, stealing people's money right out of their pockets, only to get enough for a train and do it all over again at another station. When she got caught, the police would kindly escort her back home. It didn't have much a purpose, but it was damn fun. Right now, she was on a five station streak, and only a couple yen short of hitting six, a new record.
Her small hand reached for a pocket, but the target was moving faster than she anticipated. He walked right past her, proceeding to a large iron gate that looked way out of place, and then used a tamogachi to open it. Really weird. She had to check it out.
The fanged girl turned the corner, meeting two other individuals. A pair of suckers, some dude and a girl with silver hair, no doubt an arthoe. There was only one reason a guy and a girl would sneak off to some restricted area like this.
"Woah, woah, what's going on here? Did I, like, miss the make-out sesh already?"

Arthur nearly jumped out of his skin when someone spoke up behind him, just about dropping the device in his hand as he spun around to face the source. His eyes did a quick scan of the woman in front of him and she was, by far, the oddest looking person he had ever seen. Silver hair wasn't all that common on younger people and her eyes were like nothing he had ever seen before. He blinked slightly and rubbed his eyes, only to find nothing had changed in the short moment of darkness. So, either she had some seriously strange color contacts or his mind really was breaking. "I don't know... this platform I guess?" he said, rubbing his forehead. "Why I came here, I'm not entirely sure..."
Arti looked up as another newcomer rounded the corner, looking considerably less like a cosplayer who'd forgotten to take her makeup off. He processed her question for a minute before shrugging. "It'd make more sense than everything else that's happened today," he said, taking a moment to look down at the device in his hand before looking back up at the two girls. "Would either of you happen to know what this thing is?" He lifted it up to show off to the pair. "I...found it today." He decided that saying the device had popped out of his computer was not the best move at this time. Unless, by some miracle, they had also had something similar happen to them and would know about it, however unlikely that would be.

Eyes with literal star-shaped pupils sure were unsettling. Mae tilted her head at the stranger. "Well, my train home's just past here so I'm kind of heading over to catch that." Maybe this guy was also headed to the other world. Though, any and all thought on that front had been stolen by another new person. A scrawny looking lady with grocery bags under her eyes. Mae stared at the fanged girl incredulously.
"...What's a make-out sesh?" She genuinely sounded confused. "Is that something you eat?" Oh crap, the hunger was starting to show. Mae then turned her head to Arthur and his device. "Iii...don't think I'm expressly familiar with them. But from interacting with individuals equipped with similar devices...Pretty sure that's a digivice."
That might cause some more confusion to be abound. Though, it didn't seem like Mae was bullshitting either.

"Ha-ha! I guess it's something you could eat, hahaha, if like, you wanna go that far." The skinny blonde chuckled to herself, hardly giving an answer to the innocent girl's response. Was she innocent? Probably not. Girls never admitted anything. Regardless, this exchange was cut off anyways when the boy drew attention to his little keychain pet again. He asked what it was.
What, seriously? Did everybody catch a case of stupid in this station? It would probably be easy to scam these suckers and get out of here. "Digi-device? What? Nah, ya'll crazy, that's a Tamogachi. Y'know, like, the virtual pet." Rena unhooked something from the belt of her skirt, sliding a rectangular purple object into her hand. It was similar to the one the boy had, but yet, it was vastly different in design and color.
"Like this, but mine's better!" Thinking back on it, she wasn't really sure how she got this thing. It was just sorta there one day, and she never really gave it much thought. But, that aside, it was clearly a virtual pet. She had like, seen maybe one or two of them before.

Arthur tilted his head in confusion as he took a moment to glance over his shoulder at the abandoned line subway line, then back at the starry eyed girl with an eyebrow raised. "How is this your train home? This line looks like it's been dead for years," he asked, wondering how exactly it was supposed to take anyone home. He would have questioned if the girl across from him was real if the second girl to arrive hadn't acknowledged her as well.
"Don't worry about what that is," Arti said, running his fingers through his hair in frustration This new girl was not helping the situation at all. He looked at the device in his hand again after each girl had taken a guess at what it was. He had no idea what a Digivice was, but he had heard of Tamagotchi. He clicked at the buttons on the little device for a moment, trying to pull up the little creature a Tamagotchi device *should* have on it, but he didn't see it popping up. The only thing that showed up on the screen was a small, unmoving 3D model of a robotic looking creature. Didn't really seem like a Tamagotchi to him.
"Are you sure it's a Tamagotchi...? I remember them looking way different. And being a lot smaller..." Arthur said, scratching the side of his head as he looked back up at the starry eyed girl. "What's a digivice? I've never heard of that before."

Wow, this girl sure laughed a lot. But she did provide some semblance of an answer. "Oh...Guess you don't eat it, then." A figurative thing, perhaps. Perplexing. She was weird. Really weird. The silver-haired girl with plus-shaped pupils thought Rena was weird. Mae tilted her head at Arthur. The line's dead? But she had been on it earlier today...
"Well, I think it's been playing dead because I used it to get here." Yeah. This was 100% certain! Though, this guy looked a little bit...what's the word. Troubled? Miffed? Yeah, maaaybe miffed. It was also worth noting that Mae's confusion persisted throughout the conversation. What's a Tamagotchi...?
She remained silent, strange eyes darting between Arthur and Rena. "Uh...Something that looks kinda like that where I'm from. It's a really long story that I can't quite explain at length. Because I don't have one. Special folks do. I guess I'm just not crunk enough."
But how do you get crunk?

"Uh, yeah, pretty sure it is." Rena said without any sliver of certainty, looking upon her rectangular purple device in her hand. It was made out of some kind of high quality plastic, or maybe even low quality metal, but yeah, it was more like a cell-phone in design than a children's toy. Neat. It was a cell-phone then, that made sense. "Actually! I'm now positive it's a cell-phone." At this point the silver-haired girl was rambling about something the blonde just couldn't understand at all.
"Yo, can you please like, make some sense?" The fanged girl suddenly said to the starry eyed one, holding the side of her head as if what she was saying had inflicted a headache upon her. "Because sister, you're hurting my head, seriously." This was way too much information to process at once. Crunk-level or not, this girl was talking like she's been to a different dimension or something. Obviously, she was taking some next level drugs.
Was that what she was doing back here? It was pretty damn disgusting, nobody had been to this part of the station in years, not even staff.

Arthur could only stare at the girl in confusion, his gaze slowly turning to look at the quiet subway line near them. He stared at it for a minute, almost expecting something to jump to life near them. It'd make sense given his every increasing questioning of his sanity. He looked back at the starry eyed girl. "What do you mean playing dead...? You saw that like it's alive," he commented. His eyes scanned up and down the girl for a moment, squinting slightly as he studied her. Something was very off about her...
Arti looked towards the other girl again, then back down at the device in his hand. "Doesn't look like any phone I've ever seen before... he said, looking back at Rena as she began to speak to Mae. His eyes flicked back and forth between the two for a moment before he settled on the starry eyed girl again. She knew what the device was and where it came from, that Arti was sure of. He was determined to pry it out of her, as well.
"I've got plenty of time. And I know the perfect place for you to explain what it is," Arthur said, looking up at the dead line while pointing at it. "Whatever train you rode to get here, bring it back and have it take us to wherever you're from. Then, while we're riding, you can tell us everything you know about these and the place that train goes to." It was a rather rude and forceful demand, but Arti wasn't very keen on dancing around the questions in his head anymore.

"I mean, it kind of is..." Mae shrugged her shoulders, before she looked at Rena and blinked. Wait, she was hurting people without even knowing it? Oh, shit, that's bad! "Oh. I'm sorry. Uh, should I go fetch some medicine...?" That's what humans usually do to deal with headaches, right? Or...Hm. She thought for a few moments before she glanced to Arthur. "Bring the train back?"
Okay.
...This guy was sounding a bit rude, though. Should she? Actually...Given the general mood of that train...Yeah. Maybe she should. "Gimme like...two minutes, okay?" Mae gave a cheery smile before she proceeded further in. This place truly was nasty. But the platform was all sorts of...eugh. Holy crap, why was anyone even here?
"HEY! LUGNUTS! WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU? I GOT CUSTOMERS AND STUFF!." Mae shouted, at a...seemingly empty tunnel. But then! A booming voice shouted right back. "WHOMST DARES?" Before a train with a goddamn face at the end of it (complete with TEETH) zoomed by Mae, slowing down to a crawl.
"Oh. You again. Had your fun yet or are you just here to tell me you found a better name than Lugnuts or Sharkface?" The train...? It sounded like it wanted to die. As though it was powered solely off of the depression of the populace of Japan. That, or it was tired.

"I'm good, chief." Rena said in response to the strange girl asking if she needed some kind of medicine. She began to see off the growing headache by ceasing to care about whatever she as spouting off about.
Unlike her, though, the man was growing tired of the other girl's mysterious talk, something that became apparent when he demanded for her to call the train she rode in. Weird, didn't look like a conductor or anything. Before this could be questioned, the silver haired girl shouted down the tunnel at the top of her lungs, which received a rather callous response. Then came a train, much different from any she had seen before. It had teeth, and could talk.
Shit, it was hella cool looking, but, there were a few concerns. "Like, is this a trap? I've seen a lotta scary movies. " Her golden eyes peered down at the train's face, analyzing the anomaly with curiosity. Those were some sharp teeth. Rena ran her tongue across her own set of pointy pearly whites, as if she were comparing their sharpness.
"I won't be very nice if this is a trap."

Arthur could only stare in confusion at the girl as she turned and shouted what sounded like an insult towards an empty tunnel. He was beginning to question the sanity of just about everyone around him when a booming response about made him jump out of his skin. Then, there was the train that rolled in only a moment later. Arthur could only stare at the monstrous locomotive, before looking down at the ground with his hands steepled in front of his mouth. He didn't speak for a moment, not really sure what to about the arrival of the talking train.
His eyes lifted from the ground to the other girl as she commented on how she'd be upset if the train ended up being a trap. Arti looked between her and the train for a moment, wondering why the first thing she thought of was "It better not be a trap" and not "Why did this train have a face and where did it come from on an abandoned subway line?" It took him a few more seconds to finally speak. "Alright. So Thomas the Tank Engine exists and I'm staring at his demonic twin brother," he said, turning his eyes to Mae. "So, does this thing take us to the island of Sodor or something?"

The train was an odd mixture of amused and unamused, really. On one end, it was nice that the strange and sad cat had brought him customers. On the other hand? She brought two goddamn dinguses that were very, very much...normal for this world? Such was the bustle of the train, really. The locomotive let out a SNORT, steam pouring out of the top of it. "If this were a trap, would I actually be talking to you, Dracula?" It said, to Rena, first. "They call me Sane Train, the estranged brother of Crazy Train." The eye at the front of the train then leered (or was it glared?) down towards Arthur.
"Well, bust my buffers, Harambe." Holy shit, did it actually just call Arthur an ape? "I was GOING TO take you guys to a whole other dang world but now I guess I won't because you wanna go to some dumb island."
To Mae, this was more or less code for 'screw you, no going home.' The disguised Digimon looked down and let out a small 'oh.' Sane Train then made a noise that one might discern as a laugh. "...Kidding. No but really I go to cities, not islands." The train continued.

"Oh, so you're a Dracula fan? Like, I totally can trust you then. Fan of Universal or Hammer? No wait, I know, you're a fan of the novel. I can see it in your...uh, face." It just dawned upon the under-weight girl that she was talking to a train with a face. How many drugs did she take today? Couldn't remember...so it couldn't of been that many. Only made sense.
"I feel, like, this is totally weird. But I like, don't really care, yo." This train was offering a free ride, and she didn't want to be anywhere near Tokyo. Overhyped. Time for the next city, and she got to keep all the money she stole so far. Win, win.
The destination didn't matter. She wouldn't be there for long, right? Right. "So, let's go, what's everyone waiting for? For the fat lady to get here? For Christmas to sing?" The small blonde would walk up to the train with little fear, despite knowing nothing about it, hoping it'd allow her to board.
