A place of learning.
A place to fight with others that stand in the digital world one way or another.
While the renamon had never actually been to the Spartan training grounds prior to her change from humble innkeeper to whatever you could actually call her now didn't change the fact that she still had much to learn and had much to teach. So when she ended up showing up at the militaristic campground she was greeted not only with the vim and vigor you'd expect.
But she was also greeted with a mass of people wanting to test themselves against others and learn about themselves in the best way they knew how to. Whether it was by trying to learn or create techniques or simply just easy sparring most were welcome here. The renamon of course took everyone that wished to learn or simply fight with her.
Some learned control like she had preached so often to her students while others found that fight they were were looking for. To her most of the people here were young and barely considered adults by any right. They were barely capable of fighting much less doing anything to others without severe pressure.
Some would fail, some would die and some would live on. But regardless of whom was who? She would teach them all the same.
Eventually throughout the morning did people come and go; leaving the stark white renamon changed easily into a much higher form for purposes of both stamina and power. While it was nothing as grandoise as her super mega variant her standard shutmon was still impressive. Still garnered attention with it's stark white fur, red cape and surprisingly gentle seeming armor.
When it came to lunch the shutmon decided to take a simple seat away from the crowds of people and simply nibble on some jerky. She found it was easy to just keep herself going throughout the day with large enough 'snacks' up until when she needed to eat if she wasn't home.
Clear skies, I expect some are going to go home..

The saying often went Practice Makes Perfect, right? Kind of ironic considering the form Coolmon had been spending the past few days training in at this spot. Antylamon was a very difficult form to control, to perfect, and it didn't help she had only assumed it twice. Once during that one time in the sea and another against a Knightmon that...Let's be real, had one of the single worst accents she had ever heard.
The crowd was a relatively simple thing to deal with--one she had grown accustomed to, too. By no means was it the fight-for-your-life bustle of Old Terminus but it was still great practice to have. Plus? They were way friendlier than the residents there. Or Birdie. Toooday was a bit different, though. Coolmon noted a Shutmon with a red cape throughout the morning--That was...striking. Kind of. Those who distinguished themselves from the usual somehow usually proved interesting to talk to. Might as well approach them. Granted...
This would take a while. Coolmon was left wandering around for a long few minutes. In Perfect form, no less. Awkward tall rabbit wandering the Training Grounds. Ain't that a sight?

K wasn't really surprised to see someone else hanging around for most of the day like herself. She could feel the eyes on her from time to time but past giving them a sparing glance every now and again she wouldn't be able to give them more attention unfortunately. She kept on having individuals that wanted to practice come to her so she was never really able to interact with that particular mon.
There were a few moments where she considered it but before she could even take a step she would be pulled aside for one reason or another leaving her in a tizzy up until she was free again. Eventually when lunch hit home the shutmon was left alone and found her gaze settling on the Antylamon once more. Figuring she might as well talk to them, she'd call out in hopefully a manner that wouldn't put them off too much.
"Looking for someone? Or something perhaps?"
The shumton tilted her head and adjusted the goggles that ussually sat on her forehead to a more relaxed position. She'd even manage to give the large hare like digimon a smile though to some mons her smile could be considered 'threatening'. Figuring an introduction should be in order the large wolfen digimon spoke again.
"My name's K. What's yours?"

Turns out, the one she had been seeking to approach would in turn approach her herself. The rabbit turned to face the Shutmon, seeming undaunted by the wolfish smile. Then again, was there anything that could daunt Coolmon? "Yes, actually. I was hoping to speak to you--maybe learn a thing or two. My name's Coolmon."
The Antylamon clasped her hands together and gave a bow. K was a rather...odd name. Singular letter? Then again, she was in no room to talk given she was a Cutemon that went exclusively by Coolmon, no matter what. Perhaps there was kinship to be found somewhere in this.

K tilted her head a little bit when the rabbit digimon turned to face her; that smile didn't waiver and the shutmon gestured calmly at the Antylamon. They had maybe seen one or two in their lifetime of this particular digimon which was surrpising to think about considering that they were a beast type like herself and likely came from the very same forest that she did.
Her eyebrows shot up however when the other said that they had hoped to speak with her and to learn a thing or two from her. Blinking a few times she'd look the Antylamon up and down as they shared their name. The shutmon seeming out of sorts returned this bow politely. She knew how it could be for some mons or humans where the greetings were everything of course.
Tilting her head a little bit the Shutmon would once again inspect this individual standing in front of her. A strong proper body and one that likely could take quite a few hits. Strong legs and long reach would give them an ample edge in combat but she wasn't sure what the other would actually need to learn from her.
"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Coolmon. Well I'm not doing anything as you can see. What is it that you'd like to learn? Or were you meaning just in general?"
The shutmon thought to herself about how she should go about teaching this individual anything. If there was one thing that the anytlamon should know it would be how to use their body to maximum effect and how to integrate their moves in a natural sort of way. The shutmon had a wide variety of abilities herself that all seemed strange when you thought about them but when put into practice they covered just about everything.

Coolmon wasn't the kind of person to base first impressions off of simple greetings. No, getting to know someone for her was a long and involved process that involved seeing how they reacted to things. This fox, for example, seemed...learned to some amount. At least to her. "In general. I've been trying to better myself with maintaining my perfect level state for longer--something that's a little more difficult than it looks 'cause I've only really managed to access it twice, both different times and both...very strange situations to do so in."
That and she wanted to figure out how to best implement her Arm Bomber move into a fight. "...Also my Arm Bomber ability. I can make good use of all of my moves except that specific one." To say nothing of what she walked out of the Dark Area with that one time...

K found herself inspecting this digimon that stood in front of her more and more as time progressed. The way they held themselves, they way they breathed; how they would look about or stare at her. Every little social cue that she could get from them. Every little twitch and knack would lead itself in some way in a fight for most. To her it was a way of reading people over and over until you got them right. But there were things that didn't translate to battles; some things you had to learn the hard way.
"Practice, forcing yourself to be in it for longer. Eat plenty of food, high in calories. Here."
The shutmon dug around in her infinity storage for a few minutes before pulling out a book labeled Food That Takes Care of You: Part 7. The long list of recipes along with other things in there were certainly packed to the brim with energy and such. Something that most wouldn't think about of course.
"Pick through some recipes in there, cook up some stuff. Eat and prep yourself time and time again. Practice an hour or so after eating again and again. The energy you get from the food will help tide you over until you can operate without it."
The shutmon tilted her head a little bit and put her hands on her legs staring quietly at the Antylamon for a few long moments. Mulling over to herself she'd then she'd speak.
"Explain to me what this move does, what other moves you have and what they do. What rotation do you feel would work the best and where you've tried it before. Would basic attacks supplement this move or would they hinder it?"

Of all of the things K had suggested, Coolmon found she was doing at least one thing to help. It was a start at the very least. Actually, wait, no, two things! Double nice! It also did sort of...cement K as a teacher of sorts in the rabbit's eyes. The Antylamon looked down at her hands as she was handed a book. The 7th in what appeared to be a...series. A quick flip through revealed some...energy-filled foods.
Too bad she didn't really have much to cook with...Hey, maybe she could ask Rinji? Maybe centipedes had this strange unmitigated talent for COOKING THINGS. "Hm...Okay. Something to consider for later. Anyways. Arm Bomber's something I read that most Antylamon are capable of doing. They harden their body tissue to the same amount of density...was it density? Basically, they turn as hard as Chrome Digizoid by liberating every bit of energy in their body before they strike with a powerful blow. I can do the usual treasure axe maneuver, like this," She raised her hand, her forearms gaining sharp edges. These were the treasure axes that Antylamon were famous for. "Spinning and cutting. More or less. I've found that I can use the windup for Arm Bomber to weather through some attacks easier."

The shutmon wasn't expecting the other to really go through the information immediately that she had handed them. There was a lot in that book after all and it would be better spent sitting down and giving it a go when they had time for it. Scratching at her muzzle K would tilt her head just a little bit.
She'd dip her head in a nod as the other started to explain things out to her. Furrowing her brow slightly as apparently Arm bomber was something that Antylamons were normally capable of, as well as turning their arms sharp. The shutmon leaned to inspect the edges for a few moments her eyes flicking up to Coolmon's.
"I would say that it'd be better if you used Arm Bomber to weather through an attack rather than making it part of a combo. Treating it more of a defensive than an offensive move might be for the best. If you've already got a good offense you should consider your defense. How strong would you say your Arm Bomber is? Defensively? Offensively?"
The shutmon tilted her head a little bit flicking her ears. She understood that there were many more options than that but for the sake of simplicity well... She just wanted to stick to either or for the moment. The shutmon rubbed at her muzzle still looking rather thoughtful.
"Another thing for getting used to this form is also fighting in it more often, would you like to practice with me? We could try to figure out applications for those moves of yours."

"Well, it's funny you should say that. I've been...using it more defensively than offensively. I was wondering how I could implement it better for offensive purposes." Yep, this book was two hundred percent for sitting down and reading later before going on a massive cooking binge with Rinji. "Defensively? It's as strong as digizoid. Helps me weather a lot. Offensively? It's...Hm. Enough to crater the ground."
Sparring was also something that Coolmon had been engaging in often with this form. What's one more bout to help with mastery of it? "Sure. I was actually going to ask if you wished to spar yourself."

"A good decision on your part then. Hmm..."
K paused and considered the defensive capabilities and offensive ones. If it helped them weather a lot they could use it as a parrying mechanic too.If someone used a strong melee attack they could harden to weather the blow and do a follow up.
"So using your arm bomber is going to require a bit of a set up regardless of how you go about it. For offensive applications... when you harden does it reduce your movement? You could grapple someone before hardening to limit their movements and reduce your damage taken by someone close to you."
The shutmon had a simple suggestion there; if coolmon could manage a grapple with arms like those it'd be hard to break out of it especially if it restricted their own movement enough to the point of being pointless for anyone fighting to attempt to break out of it. The shutmon grinned a little bit however when the other said they were going to ask if she wished to spar. The shutmon rubbed her muzzle and stared at the antylamon for a few moments that chuckle emerging again.
"I'd be up for it, part of the reason I came here was to practice varied moves and such. I've many a form to practice with you understand."
The shutmon stretched and shifted looking the antylamon over again. There was an easy quick assessment of reach from those limbs of theirs along with several other things that she'd probably have to watch out for. If they were capable of turning their forearms into axes they might be capable of doing the same for their legs. Most ultimates had quite a few moves in their reserve anyways....
"Lets go find a spot shall we?"

Coolmon felt like she had to put this as simply as she could. "...It does. By a lot. I don't even think I can move at all while I'm hardened. Though, I -have- thought of that before...I just am not sure if it'd actually work in a fight." Breaking out of a grapple reinforced by goddamned metal was pretty difficult...
Though, she was a bit...skeptical about K having several forms to practice with. Did she honestly? Maybe? Difficult to ascertain. Very difficult.
She had also never fought a Shutmon before. No clue what they were capable of in the slightest. "Sure!" The Antylamon chirped. She at least seemed excited for the bout!

The shutmon rubbed her muzzle quietly and thought about what the other said about her form. If she couldn't move while hardened that just meant better long term grapple. If she could establish it before using it that would make the next rotation of that grapple more like a crush than anything.
"Establish the grapple then use it. If you do a blow with that that is charged with power afterwards that'll turn it towards more of a crushing attack than one that relies on sheer physical attack."
The shutmon looked the antylamon over a few times; she had met a few of this type of digimon. Most of them had been friendly if not rather quiet. She couldn't really argue with what she was presented with here either; if this one was okay with it she had another idea too. If she was a quick enough learner there might be a place for her in a particular group...
"All right lets go..."
The shutmon motioned for the antylamon to follow her and after a little bit the two of them would have a somewhat decently private spot for there spar away from the others. It was hard to get somewhere where there wouldn't be a lot of viewers but thankfully with how the tents were arranged and how few people there were during lunch well... they had a rare opportunity.
"As we're sparring together I suppose I'll ask. Would you rather fight this form, My Meicrackmon form or my Kyukimon form?"
K hadn't really used the latter most of the three and it was the one that she was the least familiar with but she honestly had to admit to herself that any of the three would yield good practice. She had a few things she wanted to practice with the shutmon form, a lot that she wanted to figure out on the meicrackmon and she wanted to figure out the general part of Kyukimon's....

That could be one way to make effective use of Arm Bomber, in all honestly. Coolmon followed K to find a rather private area, obscured by tents and empty thanks to the fact that several were on their lunch break.
It also seemed like a choice was presented to her. Shutmon, Kyukimon, or Meicra-...Wait what. This Shutmon could turn into one of -those?-
Coolmon had half a mind to ask what the heck was up with that, but she kept silent, instead thinking. "...How about we start with the Shutmon form? I've not had much experience with the other two or this one, so I feel like this would be a good start. You can switch as you please."

The shutmon stretched a little bit and flicked an ear quietly as they were now in a pretty much private part of the camp. With it being lunch they would have a hard time being interrupted so the shutmon had to remind herself that she would likely have to stop it before it gets too out of hand. The antylamon seemed a touch surprised about something but K wasn't about to pry. After all it might of been about her forms, or perhaps she overheard something with those large ears of hers.
"Mmm. I'll use Shutmon for a bit and then switch around as needed. Kyukimon is a touch big so... I might be better off switching between this or the meicrackmon."
The shutmon chuckled a little bit and switched her arm blades forward clicking them in place with a certain degree of finality. She'd inspect the individual in front of her; trying to get a good read of what she was up against here. How they held themselves, what sort of reach they would be used to. Stance dictated a lot and the shutmon herself eased into one that spoke of blade work.
Her left leg led, joined quickly by her right arm in such a way that would provide a good center for slashing. Her left arm hung a touch loosely, relaxed and contemplative. If anything that'd be the one to make stabbing motions. Her right leg scraped across the ground just a little bit and the shutmon herself eyed her opponent with a surprising amount of coldness. The warmth and friendly nature from earlier was gone; replaced with... this
The eyes of a hunter, towards it's prey. A spar was just a fight, with rules and limitations. But it was painfully obvious that the shutmon was used to both.
No she was used to feeling death on her shoulders.
