The Cornered Bat was perhaps not the best nor worst pub in Old Terminus, but it was well hidden and offered a back room for discrete paying customers and Shred, the Devimon missing a wing, was a good Bartender and quiet about the Doctors work. Thus Cassandra felt inclined to frequent there. The fact Shred likewise knew the woman's favorite order and kept an eye out for trouble meant the Devimon was always tipped well.
Relaxing on the slightly threadbare couch that made up part of the furniture that furnished said back room including a poker table and a handful of wobbly chairs the Doctor watched as her two partners loomed. The Tactimon and Durandamon respectively, leaned against the wall on either side of Cassandra their gold eyes sharp and the tension in the air thick enough to cut with a knife. Then again their wariness was more then a little justified hence why Viktor and Genesis were far from welcome at Paradise. Though Cas had little doubt the General likely had Phantom or one of his other Xros partners tailing her to ensure the Assassin didn't snap and try to kill the Doctor once again.
For now though it was a waiting game to see if Viktor would even bother to show up for his check-up though he had apparently at least stopped by Mikemon's at her suggestion. So perhaps...

With a sigh, and a bit of disgruntled shift in his step, Viktor entered the bar, seeing the familiar faces of a masked Tactimon and a Duramon. He recalled their fight, the blood, the sweat and the pain both parties suffered. He didn't want to meet like this, not in a place like this, and definitely not with a jumpy Tactimon. Viktor would have to tread carefully. But he knew that Siris would meet up here, given some hints and ideas the assassin planted in the kids head. It wasn't so much to make up for Mikemon's incident, but rather to confirm any suspicions he had. Cas could provide what Mikemon was too stubborn to do.
At Viktor's behest, Genesis was parked across the street at a bar, relaxing and enjoying drinks and keeping from starting anything with the twins. Which, knowing all three of them, would definitely happen. The fox shot clean passed the bartender and the two leaning on the wall, looking directly to Cas;
"Cassandra," he said curtly, clearly just trying to get this over with. Or giving the appearance as such, "Let's get this over with. What do you need?"

Siris stepped into Old Terminus, rubbing the back of his head as he looked at the map he took from the Library. Viktor had mentioned he'd be here, and he spoke of something about his mother and the dreams he was having. Dad wasn't happy about their visit, but Siris was convinced there was more to this than just them being overly aggressive. When they connected; Siris could feel Viktor's anguish, his suffering. He knew what that was, and he would do anything to sooth it.
On the flip side as well, he would finally get to meet his aunt! Mom had told him about her, her adventures and her partners. Needless to say the young fox was excited to make their acquaintance! He just had to find this place first, wherever it might be!

Cassandra was going through Mikemon's notes for the third time carefully combing over the feline Doctor's words with a fine toothed comb when she heard the slight shift of armor. Glancing up she could see Cloak go tense beside her the Tactimon's distinctive gold eyes all, but burning holes in the Renamon's fur even before he entered the pub. Beside him Dagger was a little slower to catch up, but quick to stiffen as Viktor entered in through the door. Motioning for the pair to relax the Doctor herself turned those slightly off-blue eyes onto the man turned Mon.
"Hello to you as well Viktor. Lovely to see you. How has being a Digimon been treating you?" Cassandra greeted him her tone polite and cold as she arched a brow at the man's brusque greeting as if to remind him she was not one of his back alley hackjob butchers that could merely be bossed around with a sneer and a growl. He could after all make the effort to try to act civilized though she had little doubt his time as Kajunemon had crippled the rough Assassin's sense of decorum even more so then when she'd first met the man snarling and bleeding on the asphalt two blocks down from her clinic.
"I've been fine thank you for inquiring. It is of course the highlight of my day to wait on grumpy would-be-Assassins that may or may not show up for their routine check-ups. You know the ones that are made to ensure they don't randomly deteriorate and die a horrible death because they're too stubborn to seek out a Doctor if they start feeling ill? Those ones." The Doctor in question intoned in a dry sarcastic drawl utterly unimpressed with the man/mon before her as she motioned for him to have a seat. The Devimon Barkeep plopping down a stool for him right in front of couch the woman was sitting on.

Viktor let out an audible sigh, clear he was in no mood for this. It had been a long, rough month, filled with constant stress on both him and his partner. He was never for conversation, Cas knew that, but after the incident with the D-Reaper and her involvement, his interactions with her was to be kept limited, as bound by his own rules to prevent any further incidents. Because though he did take her twins, he wouldn't last a second against them as he was... he hadn't even taken the form of Champion yet.
"Would-be would imply I'm not one already." he spoke curtly again, taking a seat on the barstool, and looking over to the twins and narrowing his eyes. Clear he wasn't overly excited about them looming over their conversation, but he understood, they were scared. Fear often prompted a higher response in security, it was the only way to mitigate it. Even if that threat didn't exist, it was always smart to have a backup plan.
"Mikemon already did a checkup, there's really no need for another."
He would get up to leave, assuming the twins or Cas didn't stop him!

Siris gave a thoughtful hum. The location described was no-where to be found, and the closest thing to that was some off-beaten pub about a bat or something? Siris didn't want to go in there, Dad expressly forbade alcohol to him and his sister, but Viktor was around here... and he wanted to explain somethings and even apologized FOR Dad. He had been pretty stressed with mom healing and wanted everyone to be friends again!
At least, that was the young fox's hope!

"Would be implies you are not currently one seeing as I doubt you can handle taking jobs right now in your delicate state and if you are taking jobs while you settle into your new body then more the fool are you." Doctor Cross pointed out as she rose from her seat scanner in hand as the woman stares the rough looking male Renamon down with a flat unimpressed stare.
"Sit your tail down Viktor unless you came all this way merely to waste my time in which case you owe me a drink." Cassandra ordered motioning for the Mon to take a seat on the stool so she could scan him once more and compare her readings with her initial readings and Mikemon's.
"And I sent you to my colleague because I felt a second opinion on your situation would be valuable though I see he's come to the same conclusions I have. For now the most we can do is monitor you which unless you want to spend your time confined in a hazmat room means routine check-ups." The Doctor explained tersely and should Viktor indeed take as seat would begin scanning him with her advances scanner.
Meanwhile Cloak and Dagger remained relatively quiet and looming. Well more Cloak then Dagger as the Durandamon seemed content to scan the bar while the Tactimon kept his gaze narrowed right on the Renamon.

The fox would stop as he began to leave, listening to Cas chiding him and reminding him that this was needed. Just as planned, Cas would be against him leaving, and with less of a need to burn the clock, the fox took a seat, a little embarrassed at the tail comment, however. He was still not used to this, and wasn't fond of being reminded that he was as such. Mikemon did the same thing, and it yielded the same results.
He rest his feet on the mid-bar of the stool, leaning forward and awaiting instructions from the Doctor. There was no more need for conversation, at least not on his end. He'd reply to her if she started it, but he wasn't exactly the social type. Now it was a matter of waiting for the kid to figure out what Viktor meant earlier and if he timed it correctly, he should arrive just after the check-up.

Siris scratched his head, this bar was proving much more troublesome than he anticipated. But he was determined to find it! Maybe he should ask around, there were a lot of patrons here who knew their way around the city, and the 'Cornered Bat' wasn't on any listings. He couldn't understand why, that was a terrible business practice!
With a sigh, the young fox walked to an outdoor bar and approached a gruff looking Leomon, who was enjoying the solidarity is seemed. Siris felt a bit ashamed for interrupting him, and he looked very feral. But he was the only one around!
"Excuse me, sir? My aunt is at the Cornered Bat, and I can't find it!"
The Leomon chuckled, swirling his drink, "Because it doesn't exist, kid. She's pulling your leg."
Siris tilted his head, ears flopping a bit as he did; "Well, she didn't tell me. One of her... 'clients' did!"
The Leomon narrowed his eyes and stood up, looming over the smaller fox, and downed the rest of his drink; "Then you're speaking of Doctor Cross. Her handywork." he showed a few scars along his arms and face, "Come on, kid. I'll take you to her office. But you might have to wait outside. Another Renamon already went in."
Siris nodded and smiled, following the Leomon to the secluded bar.

"Stop sulking things could be far worse." Cassandra quipped finishing her scan of him as she slide he scanner back into her coat pocket and picking up her stylus made a few notes on her D-terminal. Pausing to poke Viktor lightly in his fluffy chest with said stylus while she was at it.
"Have you been taking those supplements I suggested to help with the adjustment period between human and digital food? I'm not saying you look like you've been savaged by a pair of scissors, but your coat looks far from healthy." The Doctor pointed out before tucking the stylus behind her ear reaching up to grasp Viktor's muzzle with surprising gentleness as she lifted his lips to check his gums and teeth. Moving onto the Renamon's eyes she took out a small penlight checking to see their rate of contraction and letting out a soft hum.
"By the by which hand is your off hand or are you partial to having blood drawn from the arm? I need to take a data sample and run a comparison." Cas explained releasing the fox's face as she smoothed out the fur there and turned back to her work.

This was all so... sudden. While he did get a checkup from Mikemon, this was much more physical and much more of a reminder that he was indeed a fox. He didn't fight back or struggle, he simply turned as she pushed to make things easier. The comment about his coat stirred a bit of a red tinge across his face, clear he a little ashamed as such;
"On and off." he spoke before she took his muzzle, forcing a bit of a soft flinch. Years of dealing with threats made sudden touching a bit of a surprise for both parties, but he understood it's need and refrained from further action, turning his head as she would lead it, and snarling the flanks of his muzzle to help her look at his teeth. He blinked as she smoothed the ruffled fur, starting to pull the sleeve off his right arm;
"Right."
There would be no retreat for this, Viktor could take hefty amounts of pain and when he knew it's necessity, he would even go as far to assist. Using the sleeve as a 'stress ball' the fox would squeeze and release, giving her easier access to his veins. It was a pretty simple step, all things considered!
__________________________________________________________________________
Finally, as the two led through the city, Leomon pushed open the doors to the Pub, walking to the counter to the one-winged Devimon;
"Hey, Cas still with that fox? She's got another visitor."
He stepped aside and revealed another Renamon that, likely to Cloak and Dagger, was a softer Viktor. The kid had the same shaped muzzle and ears, even had Viktor's ice-blue eyes. But his shape and his fur length was more akin to his mother, which was a dead giveaway to K. That, and his mark of Jesmon on his upper forearm.
Siris gasped, seeing the two armored Digimon and ran past Leomon, standing just before them;
"Wow! You must be Cloak and Dagger! I'm Siris! K and Mikemon's son! If Cas is my Aunt, I guess you guys would be... my cousins? Or Uncles?" he give a warm smile, clear he was excited to meet everyone!
Viktor looked over, taking a mental victory to himself; He was right on time.

"I guessed as much. You need to take those supplements they are for your own good." Cas quips flicking him lightly on the tip of the nose. Not enough to harm, but certainly enough to sting a little as she drew an empty syringe from her medical kit and went about preparing to take the data sample. The Doctor's steady hands being the only thing that saved Viktor from getting stabbed at the surprise of the sudden intrusion as Cas did a double take. The few emotions she had let flicker across her face dying away quickly in favor of her usual solemn facade as she quickly finished up her work stashing the sample back into her infini-store.
"Uncles I suppose..." Dagger spoke up after a moment of thought blinking down at the little Renamon in surprise the faster of the two to warm up to the boys presence. Though as he identified himself Cloak's stance slowly relaxed the hand that had flown to his sword easing off as he offers the kid a nod of greeting.
"If you do not mind me asking what exactly are you doing here? This is not the safest area and Mikemon would have our heads if harm befell you." The Tactimon asks his usual rough tone a little gentler in regards to the child.
"A question I myself was about to impose." Cas speaks up glancing between the boy and her own patient and then back again and pointedly does not look a second time. There is an edge to her stance not unwelcoming, but wary knowing all too well Siris might have been followed.

With a gentle hug across Dagger's leg, Siris looked up, then to Cloak, giving a smile with a swish tail, "Oh, I overheard Viktor was going to be here and I sort of wanted to give dad's side of the story! It was kind of heated..."
Siris' ears folded as he looked to Cas, then walked over with a curious headtilt; "Mom told me about you! She had a lot of nice things to say! They look true! Helping others is always a nice thing!"
He would open his arms and attempt to give her a warm hug, after she was done of course, Dad did speak of boundaries and such. Siris couldn't help but be a little excited, this was the first time he'd ever seen his Aunt and it was incredible!
He would turn to Viktor next, a little uneasy, but still the same loving fox that he was; "S-sorry about the other day. I don't know what came over me and... well Dad has been through a lot recently, and I know you have to! Which is why I think things went a little south!"
He cleared his throat, then turned to Cas, "Was he really human before?"
Viktor sighed, he knew the pup was friendly but this was a little overbearing. Luckily there weren't many patrons in the room because they might have been weirded out by the over friendliness. But now that they were side by side, maybe it would lead to some... ideas in Cas' head. Viktor was hoping it was just Genesis talking out of her ass... but the kid taking his stance? Something had to be done, but Viktor wouldn't, and couldn't, directly ask. It wouldn't be a hard sell, the kid even mimicked some of Viktor's mannerisms.
Hopefully he wouldn't have to drop hints!

At first the Doctor appeared as though she would jerk back and away from Siris's touch, before she grit her teeth and locked down her muscles. Freezing herself as still as a statue as she fought against her initial instincts and let the Renamon envelop her. He was after all the son of one of her allies and Mikemon whom she viewed like a brother. So with wincing care she gently reached out to pat Siris's back.
"Thank you Siris it is lovely to meet you too. However, does Mikemon or K know you are here? I often work in very dangerous areas and anything could have happened to you coming all the way out here." Cas question her mechanical tone softening somewhat with concern as she would give the Renamon a few moments to hug her before quickly extracting herself.
"I understand there was an incident between Viktor and your Father, but I doubt Viktor's feelings were so ruffled as to need you to hunt him down and attempt to explain." The Doctor added casting a gaze towards Viktor a small frown tugging at the woman's lips as a sneaking suspicion crawled through her veins like poison.
"That aside how are you Siris? How have your studies been going? How old will you be here soon? I hear you've been quite the help to Father at his clinic." Cas asked sweetly if a little strained as she tried her best to make casual conversation.

Siris frowned a bit, knowing that Cas wasn't really the hugging type. Yet she gave one anyway, which surprised the young lad. Then came an onslaught of questions, ones he had answers for but were unsure how to answer in the proper manner!
"Uhm, no? Neither know, they often let me out of the Library to explore and understand things better."
He gave a bit of chuckle at her comment about not having to track Viktor down, "Of course I did! Viktor is a Kajunemon! One of my favorite Digimon and I want there to be no bad blood!"
Viktor, however, wasn't as... entertained. Or at least he appeared so. Through crossed arms, he leaned back on the stool, and glanced over the younger fox;
"There's more to this. What of our little incident?"
Siris visibly flinched. He didn't want to think about that! But now Cas would be left in the dark and probably more confused than anything. He figured it was best for her to know.
"Whenever I touch Viktor he... becomes this thing in my head. Pure black... skull-faced. Beady white eyes."
Viktor sighed, standing up from the stool; "And when I touch him, I sense K."
Siris couldn't explain it, and likely wouldn't, but Viktor had an air of familiarity to him... right next to the cold, dangerous feeling he put out to everyone around him. Maybe it was the fact that he was so close to everyone he knew? Maybe it was because he was also a Renamon, OR it could be the fact that he is a Digimon he idolizes. Either way, the fox would rub the back of his neck and start his habitual fidgeting;
"M-maybe we can run some sort of test? There's got to be a reason why this is happening!"

"I would expect you should be able to sense K after all he is her son." Cas spoke drawing out the words slowly like a blade from it's sheath the layered threat lingering in her words as she gazes upon the assassin with narrowed eyes. Suspicion however, wars with logic as static dances across the edge of her holosuit causing it to briefly flicker her eyes off-blue then crimson, then back to off-blue as though nothing had change. The Doctor only shifts her stare from Viktor long enough to check the readings on her D-terminal at Siris's query.
"I'm unsure what other tests could be run. The image is clearly that of Viktor's D-agent form, but all scans show not a trace of D-virus left in his system. I would think it's just an empathetic impression left over. Many Renamon have shown to be rather psychically sensitive." The Doctor intones as she thinks back on her conversations with Mikemon doing some quick mental math. Siris and Viktor look so alike, but no....no Viktor wouldn't do that to her. True their dalliances had been unspoken, but he respected her more then that. He would have ended things.
Even now, even with them awkward and unsure how to breach the trauma that spanned like a ravine between them he would never....he was better then that. He would have said something if he had suspicions and Mikemon was as a brother to her and unlikely to leave her clinging to tangled threads such as that. He wouldn't let her make a fool of herself chasing and trying to save a man who had eyes for another woman even less his wife. While it was unlikely given his form and the things that had happened between them that she and Viktor would be able to move on he still would have...he would have...
"I'm sure it's nothing more then that." Cas adds with a brittle smile her words meant as much for them as herself. It must after all merely be her own paranoia and imagination getting away from her.

Viktor only rolled his eyes, taking what he said quite literally. Of course he sensed her because of relation... he meant as he did that time in the forest, where the two fox's souls were one. An outcome brought about with some third party, no doubt, but sensing K in the sense of that... feeling. But as Cas spoke, it became clear that she was deflecting. Not wanting to admit that Viktor put a final nail in the coffin.
Cas didn't speak it, she barely showed it, but even with that holosuit flickering and her attempts to hide it... Viktor could see the anguish. Just as Siris had felt Viktor's when he touched him, he could see her pain through her eyes. A flicker of betrayal, if what he was thinking was true. He'd look up, placing a paw on her forearm;
"There's a question we both need answered. I can see it."
Certianly it wasn't the most done with the most tact, but he raised a point. He knew he did. Cas was not the kind to live her life uncertain. If she needed to know something, she'd find out. Much like Viktor, which is the main reason he even agreed to do the follow-up. To get this test done. Moreover, to know if his actions truly had a consequence.
Siris, on the other hand, was just happy to be around. He too was wondering why Viktor and Siris had such a strong connection, but she raised a good point with the other Renamon. He felt something whenever he touched his mom. This warmth, protection and happiness! Maybe it was just an ability he had that he didn't know? But still, the young fox agreed with Viktor;
"Well, uh, if it'll clear the air then I'm alright with it! I'd like to know why AND maybe learn more about this Kajunemon! Dad never took blood, he only looked into cores! This might look a little closer!

As Viktor reached out to place a hand upon Cas's arm the Doctor whirled on him her teeth bared lips pulled back into a snarl with fury bright in her eyes. Her head turning towards him with a pronounced and metallic SNAP...as the chains around Jatetsufūjin-maru gave way Cloak's hand resting on the blade's hilt as the Tactimon slid into an opening combat stance his gold eyes narrowed and filled with rage enough to drown the world in a sea of blood.
"You will remove your hand from my Partner or I will remove it from you permanently~" The Mega spoke in a low rumbling growl that seemed to thrum from his chest like rolling thunder.
"No." Cas began causing Cloak to hesitate for a single second before she continued, "No I don't think you do see it Viktor." The Doctor elaborated her tone sharp as a blade and the false smile that tore at her lips all teeth and no warmth reflecting like jagged broken glass across the woman's face as she peeled the Renamon's fingers back from her arm one by one. Because his questions were her answers. Answers that even if her suspicions on Siris's parentage were untrue that there was merit enough there to mean something had happened. Something that was enough for Viktor to want to confirm or deny the results and use her to do so.
"I will leave it up to Siris whether he wants to do a data comparison test or not, but I already have my answers. Siris is Mikemon's Son and no test will change that. So kindly don't try to act as though any of this is for my benefit." Cassandra spoke through clenched teeth red static dancing dangerously over her arms the scent of ozone and metal sharp in the air.
"At this point I wouldn't even put it past you to have lured the boy out here." The Doctor added in a low rasping growl K's sheer disapproval should she know what was taking place here going unspoken. Not to mention Mikemon...
