That rolling ball of death was destructive and highly dangerous, but it was not a terribly bad call on Mae's part to launch an attack on the projectile. No, the exploding hairball didn't destroy it... but it did push it back enough that it was slowed down to the point it would have been fairly easy to just sidestep out of the way, the ball of rubble dispersing shortly after.
Judging from the roar from it's owner though, it appeared Mae was doing a great job pissing it off. Than again, was that a good thing? The beast began to turn around, for a moment looking like it was retreating... until one caught a glimpse of that huge wrecking ball tail of theirs, one raised upwards. A single destructive SLAM as the metal weapon was brought down on the ground by Mae would have felt like a bomb just went off as the earth below her shook, the entirety of the ruins shaking.
Even if Mae managed to avoid taking a hit from the shockwave as the ground below her was torn to shreds by what was practically an earthquake, another problem arose... a heavy one. Bits and chunks of the ceiling itself were shook loose by the attack, now falling down and raining on them all. For Groundramon, this is basically just like being hit with a pebble... but for a Meicoomon? Somewhat doubtful that would feel like a pebble.
Somewhat away from the battle, some of the shifting terrain falling apart gave a glimpse of the three kids... unfortunately, Gabumon looking to have slipped from the earthquake and hanging for dear life with Musimon's help. They weren't the beast's targets at the moment, but they were still in grave danger just being nearby!
Groundramon's Terra Firma was neutralized, but now its even more pissed! It has used Megaton Hammer Crush, causing huge structural damage to the area alongside causing debris to rain from the ceiling.
Megaton Hammer Crush - A powerful attack using the metal iron ball adorning Groundramon's tail to smash an area with earthshaking force and destroying the land around it. The mere shockwave of the attack can damage those caught nearby, significantly slowing them for 2 turns. A direct hit while won't slow, not much is going to be moving after THAT kinda attack. (Cooldown: 4 Turns)

Once she had recovered from firing the hairball, Mae found that she managed to slow the projectile down. This was good, it enabled her to get moving, dashing out of the way as she heard the roar of the Groundramon. What was he going to do now, slam on the...ground? ...Yes, that's exactly what he was going to do.
The ground shook and the ruins themselves trembled at the force of the blow to the ground. Mae found that the very earth beneath her had been torn to shreds, and managed to leap into the air once more! She had the perfect opportunity to strike at Groundramon with Deathbound, and she was going to take it, her claw glowing a bright red...
Only for Mae to be smacked right in the back by debris, and sent hurtling to the ground. To make matters worse, that rock was not about to let her move anytime soon. Not unless she exerted enough force. To make things even worse, she could see Musimon and Gabumon. She couldn't...really do much to help them...
...But she could still move an arm...
Mae wrenched an arm forward and fired forth another Spider Shooter at the Groundramon, hoping to keep his attention on her. Knowing how well that worked last time...
It felt futile. And it hurt. It hurt so much...
Mae got hit by the aftereffects of Hammer Crush. She's pinned under debris, mostly, and attacks with Spider Shooter. She's desperately trying to keep aggro on.

Bravery. Bravery is the quality or state of having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear, or difficulty. Was Mae brave? Perhaps to the eyes of the kids, they managing to pull up their friend as they looked onward in horror as the feline barely evaded that ball of destruction... but now trapped between a rock and a hard place by... well, a rock.
Groundramon though... They were a creature that did not care about things like bravery, courage, or cowardice. They were a mere beast, one that hungered for data. That hungry eye of the draconian Digimon's was one that Mae perhaps recognized far too well... and it was directed at her. The creature only smirked with a malevolent grin as it began to approach her; a casual cover using one of the claw-arms being all it took to basically shield itself from Mae's attack. If it were weaker, that would have hurt... but the power gap of Champion and Ultimate was just too much for the attack to do anything but slightly scratch the scales of the beast.
Groundramon was taking its time leisurely stomping towards the pinned down cat... They didn't need to waste anymore energy now. They believed they had her.
Groundramon tanks the Spider Shooter like it was nothing, boldly marching towards the pinned Mae with killing intent.

This was heavily unideal. This...could spell the end. A hundred visions of how this was going to end flooded Mae's mind, all of them ending with her death. Was this really how the cat was meant to die? Was this really the end of her story? The Groundramon was hungry. It wanted her to die. Become data for it.
...
......
We will not die here.
I am your hope. I keep you safe. I am in control.
Mae's vision quickly snapped back into reality. She had a single limb free. She had one arm to do this with. If she didn't, she'd die. Others would die. This hurt a lot, but she had to do it.
Mae let go. From her paw extended wicked red claws, and the cat...drove it into her own face, letting out a pained yell as she started to claw at her form. Something was giving way to something far worse. Mae tried to say words. But all that came out were screams as she continued to tear into herself.
When it seemed like Mae had clawed her own face open, her form became much...larger. Taller. In a gray burst of power that split the rock holding her down in half, there was no Meicoomon underneath. No. Surrounded by a pale gray aura was a Meicrackmon. A red-eyed, grinning beast that was staring up at the ceiling, before it leaned forward and let out a primal screech at the Groundramon.
A cornered beast was not to be underestimated. She knew that the earth may be useless. No. She had no need of that. With a shnnk-like noise, the Meicrackmon bared claws of red digizoid, and took a running start for the Groundramon before leaping at it, poised to sink those slicers in!
Active Passives:
Gotta Let it Out: Meicrackmon Vicious Mode fights with a blistering anger that builds up over time, gaining one each time she is struck or strikes someone. While this does dull a great many things, including morality, and the ability to tell from friend and foe past two stacks, this does increase her attack power by a good 10% for each stack. 4 stack limit. Mae loses a stack every turn she goes without hitting something or being struck by something. 0/4
Born In The Abyss: This passive allows Meicrackmon VM to heal 7.5% every time she lands with an attack. She has the option to increase a cooldown by 1 if the move it belongs to impacts an enemy, in exchange for an additional 2.5% heal.
Cast in Digizoid: You see those claws on Meicrackmon? They’re already really strong on their own, but what matters is they’re composed of Red Digizoid, and are laced with a venom that is most certainly the same type found in Meicoomon’s Data Crusher. Every three posts, Meicrackmon VM can ‘activate’ the claws and cause her next melee attack inflicted with the claws to be twice as powerful.
Mae refuses to die here. She digivolves to Meicrackmon Vicious Mode and frees herself in the process, before attacking Groundramon with Cross Slash.
Cross Slash: Meicrackmon attempts to strike her foe with her claws, preferably both of them. The claws themselves corrode and burn away data much like acid would eat through metal, so getting hit by this would be mildly unpleasant. One turn cooldown.

There was no denying that the Groundramon had truly thought Mae was on their last legs... They looked so small and helpless; more data-rich too! Forget the kids... This chick was easily worth more than them. Salivating in the mouth with a feral gaze in its eyes, the Groundramon trudged forward to claim their prize... They were even doing it the honor of killing themselves for it!
That was what it was thinking... at least until it saw something come out of the peeled cat. That rubble that had buried the cat had been easily destroyed, the dragon backing up to see its prey had changed forms again... They couldn't have Digivolved again, had they?
The moment Groundramon saw the newly-evolved Meicrackmon dash at it with even greater speed, there really was no time for the beast to even react. They tried to defend themselves using one of their claw-like arms against the murderous cat's attack... but oh boy was that a mistake. Those scales might have been a good defense against Champion levels, but against a fellow Ultimate level? Well, they basically did nothing against those acidic claws as they shredded into the dragon's flesh, immediately corroding it away into data.
The Groundramon reacted in pretty much how you'd expect it to react... scream in pain, doing what any feral beast fearing for its life would do... retaliate back. They immediately attempted to try and bat away the demon beast, their prior gusto fading quickly realizing it no longer was the apex predator here.
Groundramon failed to defend against Cross Slash and took significant damage! It is attacking with Scrapless Claw.
Scrapless Claw - A brutal swing in an area directly in front of Groundramon with the claws that grow from its shoulder. Its slow, but MAN does it hurt if it connects. (Cooldown: 2 Turns)

The tables had turned quickly. Mae had already robbed the Groundramon of one of it's gigantic claws, some of the data seeping into the newly evolved monster to repair and reconstruct damage that had been inflicted prior to evolving. The red in her eyes seemed to grow brighter, as did the sound of...what sounded like laughter. Was she taking joy in causing the Groundramon pain? Probably. This form was as irredeemable as any other of these cats.
Victory was within her clairvoyant reach. A quick vision of the Groundramon using the claw attack it had opened with again prompted the Meicrackmon to leap back, up into the air and away from the fierce swing. It only had melee attacks, right?
No. Whipping her hands forward in a familiar gesture, the Meicrackmon revealed that this form -also- had access to Spider Shooter, the tendrils threading together to form twin gattling guns on either of Mae's hands that fired a barrage of bullets, just like her champion form did.
However. Should Groundramon attempt to weather the barrage, he would find that these bullets were MUCH stronger than Meicoomon's. In fact, he'd find they ate through data just like her claws did if he was hit by them!

Fatebreaker [RAM Upgrade Giga]: This entity has the same mysterious foresight that a Rasielmon would possess. As such, Mae has the ability to divine a potentially infinite number of futures, depending on the level she's at. There are, however, limits to her foresight. For one, the lower the level, the more muddied, limited, and opaque the visions will be. The higher, the clearer. Furthermore, in combat, this is only really applicable as a way to warn herself and others of various attacks. Whether she can dodge them or not even with this is entirely on her. Should she successfully dodge an attack she had a vision of, the chances she can dodge the next one are lower. Basically she can’t spam this unless she wants the hurt. (I forgot to put this here, I am the super dumb.)
Mae gets a stack of Gotta Let It Out from hitting Groundramon. She dodges Scrapless Claw with the help of Fatebreaker and attacks with Spider Shooter!
Spider Shooter: Meicrackmon’s hands turn into tendrils that in turn form twin gattling guns before she fires destructive energy bullets towards her foe, yet these are strangely more caustic in nature than in her regular Meicrackmon form, eating away at the data structure of whatever they find purchase in. Two post cooldown.

Groundramon was little more but a feral beast... but even an animal can understand things such as fear or panic. It had thought that this was supposed to be an easy fight... Just some small fry Rookie and a Champion level that was in over her head! The emerald-green dragon was careful usually to pick their targets, but this encounter was going very out-of-control for it... If that devil cat wanted to scare her foe off, she was doing a great job at it!
Unlike the newly evolved Meicrackmon Vicious Mode, Groundramon was not exactly the pinnacle of agility. Sure they hit like a truck, but that didn't matter if they couldn't hit the damn cat! Their attempt to maul the orange maine coone was unfortunately very futile, they simply unable to keep up with the cat's lightning fast movements... Too fast for even the Ultimate level to have the chance to even try defending against Mae's barrage of energy projectiles.
Not that would have done anything.
Even the Ultimate level's hard-as-steel scales did little to stop the caustic bullets piercing into its digital flesh... chunks of data free to devour coming loose as the Groundramon began to back off with their tail practically between its legs, that feral look of a predator replaced with an absolutely terrified gleam in the beast's eye. The Groundramon was being put to their limits, and they were beginning to debate on trying something they have not done since they were a mere Rookie.
Run.
The dragon did something completely different from their initial debut, turning away from the cat as they began to try their best at running away... They aiming their claws into the ground in a attempt to quickly burrow underground back to safety... At least attempt to.
Groundramon has taken serious damage from Spider Shooter and is now attempting to flee!

The devil cat had initially wanted to ward off the beast. That was what Mae wanted. For it to go away. To never come back. As such, it was a very unfortunate turn of events for both her and the Groundramon. Because the one in control right now? That was the devil. The devil wanted blood. The devil wanted to tear the scales from the Groundramon. The devil wanted to erase this beast from the world. Was it trying to run? Quite pathetic, really. The tables had already turned. The devil wanted to ensure that they turned to the fullest. She landed on her feet before she broke out into a sprint, a mad dash towards the Groundramon as two of the lures that her species had been known for seemed to drop from her and quite...luridly grow into two identical copies of her. These copies joined her in her dash before they threw themselves at the burrowing Groundramon, trying to grab onto whatever they could... Before they exploded.

Mae gives pursuit and activates Felt Made, the clones throwing themselves in a suicidal manner towards the fleeing Groundramon. You won't get away that easily. Felt Made: Meicrackmon creates two clones out of the lures surrounding it. They mainly serve as decoys...that explode upon being struck. They also act autonomously of Meicrackmon, too. They can make basic attacks but otherwise cannot use any of her moves. The clones last for a round after creation. Two turn cooldown. Cooldowns: Cross Slash: 1/1 Spider Shooter: 1/2 Felt Made: 0/3

There was a very bitter irony to this whole ordeals that permeated through the Groundramon's mind. This was not how it was expecting this all to end, but it had to press forward! Whatever it could do to get away from that freak psycho cat... Once it could dig its way back into its underground cave system, only then would it be safe! The dragon was tearing at the stone and soil faster than ever... but soon it felt something grasp on to its body. Reflexively, it tried to bat them off with the mace-like tail it had...
A fatal mistake, the impromptu attack detonating the two lure clones that Mae had created... A deafening blast that actually echoed through the ruins and kicked up surrounding dust, a torrent of data practically spewing from the dematerializing corpse of the Groundramon as it drew its last breath... The only thing left being the tip of its tail, which landed on the ground nearby Mae with a strong impact.
The Tyrant's Labyrinth lost another predator and gained a new one.
Far off, with the cover of leftover debris; all three of the Rookie levels from earlier had been looking onward in terror at the fight... a look of admiration and fear at what had been once that weird little Keramon. "Th-that cat is c-crazy..." Musimon muttered, an utter bit of shock on his face while Lopmon was seemingly trying her best to comfort Gabumon (who frankly looked like a deer in the middle of traffic). They... They were saved from that monster, but were they really safe? That psycho cat didn't have to go THAT far and kill the thing, did she? It was even trying to escape! Frankly, he was honestly just as scared of her as he was of Groundramon... She cackled back there, didn't she?
Groundramon was deleted.

Just like that? Just like that, the devil had gotten that which it wished for. A brutal and abrupt end to a gnat before it. The devil let out a snarl as she raised a hand to absorb the data being strewn to and fro. It thought of it as a fitting reward for slaying the dragon. With that done, she then walked towards the tail and drove her stinger into that. She was being, if nothing else, thorough with loading.
...And her head was clearing up, too. Wait...What did she just do? "...Oh. Oh, dear..." She mumbled, stumbling back and looking around. She felt taller. More alert. What happened? Where did the others go...?
"...H-Hey, L-Lopmon? Gabumon? A-Are you okay? Musimon? A-Are you out there?" Mae called out. Where were they? Why did she feel like something ugly was still watching her?

The deed was done. If there was any chance of the deleted Ultimate level of being able to reincarnate, it was snuffed out by being incorporated into the cat's body and empowering them. No scrap of the beast's data was left by the Meicrackmon when she was done...
The taboo of loading did not go unnoticed though. The three Rookies while had never seen such an act, it was enough to send terror down their spines. It was just so... wholely unnecessary, at least to them. Loading a Digimon wasn't just killing them, it was ending their very existence. These were not people like Mae; they were not versed in how cruel the Digital World and its inhabitants could be, they were just kids.
If Mae's attempts at calling out to the three was in the hopes of receiving a positive response... unfortunately, it was not to be. With a mixture of panic and fear, the three young Digimon practically began to scramble... Whatever curiosity they had sated. Their exasperated gasps for air as they ran clearly spoke a message.
They knew what they saw. In their eyes, Mae was just as terrifying of a monster as the Groundramon was.
For the honed senses of a hunter, it would have been child's play to chase them.

She heard sounds of movement in the distance--They were okay, at the very least. But...they probably had seen everything she had done. Mae looked down at herself. These claws of red...The cat saw a reflection of herself in her gauntlets. Eyes of crimson and a set of teeth that could make the most fearless balk.
As Mae moved to go after them, maybe to try explaining herself...A vision rang through. It was dark. But what she heard next was all she had to hear.
Monster. Nothing more. Nothing less.
She needed to get out of here. She needed to get out of here fast. The Meicrackmon turned around and ran away, despite everything in her telling her not to. There was -so- much telling her not to run but she had to. She didn't want to hurt anyone else. If anything, she was hoping those kids would be okay.
For she herself would definitely not be.
[...Exit?]
