Bellamy braced himself to prepare for the flight as Ryouta and Valt readied the wings of light. Bellamy grinned a little at the comment, then turned his head a little. "Hey, I normally ask for a drink and the okay from Coronamon for guys that hug me from behind, but okay, circumstances allow this" the BlackGatomon retorted. A little bit of fun to get his mind free of the danger ahead that awaited them. Bellamy made sure he was held securely before giving the okay to be lifted across the bog. For a time the flight was mostly alright, but soon they were attacked so quickly that Bellamy almost fell there and then. He understood the need for him to be dropped, so the BlackGatomon righted himself in midair and landed on his feet onto the soft yet solid ground, right next to the fallen digimon. "Dokamon! Can you hear me?! Things are gonna be fine! I'll protect you!" Bellamy declared, readying his claws, initially facing BladeKuwagamon, but realized his purpose here was to heal. He trusted his brother to handle combat.
So, Bellamy crouched down over the injured blue digimon, his tail ring glowed, then he focused, holding his paws over his body. "Alleviate Pain" he intoned, and a warm light shone over Dokamon, hopefully healing the worst of his injuries.
"Valt! Get down! Don't let it hit your wings!" Luke called, as electricity sparked through the ribbons on his body, then with a shout of "Thunderbolt!" he too aimed a strike of lightning at the insect digimon. They had to cover for Valt, or else he'd fall to this Adult level enemy.

"Heh, well when we get out of here, we can have a drink. I think I need some strong ones to deal with all this anxiety, sounds good? Also, for permission from Coronamon, just say that you got called by your teacher for a treat at some izakaya. That should be enough, ey?" Valt teased, grinning. He's definitely more confident as a Vmon than as a Dracomon.
"What about you Lukey? Got someone special yet?"
Still, this is no time for a joke. They needed to rescue the Digimon, who is apparently a Dokamon. The Digimon groaned as he felt his wound closing. It's working, but... it looks like he's not conscious enough. His breathing has stopped being so ragged though, and looked less in pain. Even then, Valt was the one who's in trouble now. Not even his experience in flying as Wingdramon, one of the best flying Digimon could help him on this one. The Blade Kuwagamon was so close on getting him, but Luke's timely help managed to freeze it midair...
...It doesn't stop there though. It's clearly damaged, but it suddenly absorbed the leftover electricity, and flew at speed faster than before. Had Valt did not flap his wing faster, he probably would have gotten the stab. But in turn, his left wing... shattered.
"!?"
"FU---!!"
Ryouta wasn't fast enough in picking his card. Nor that he have anything at the moment. Valt freefalled down to the bog, getting in with a loud splat. Ryouta was going to save him, but the Blade Kuwagamon is now ready to attack again, only with less speed than before.

Bellamy decided that he rather liked Valt. He found this playful talk rather easing for his nerves, making him more determined to just get through this and help out that poor digimon in peril.
Luke meanwhile grinned a little sheepishly at the question that Valt posed. "Well, he's a V-mon actually" he admitted. "Not as buff as you, but, heh, still damn love looking at him". If Luke's fur wasn't red already it certainly would be a shade of crimson by now.
As Bellamy healed the little blue digimon, he was glad to see some effect happened, but still, was worried that perhaps it would be too late? Then he heard the thunderbolt behind him and looked to see the progress of the battle with the BladeKuwagamon. Luke had just struck it with a Thunderbolt and that was dandy, but it seemed to somehow charge it up a little, and it struck Valt's wing.
"No! Valt!" Bellamy yelped in horror. Damn it... he had to act quickly. He couldn't heal Dokamon until he had a rest from that technique, so the BlackTailmon would turn to offense, focusing his energy. Three balls of fire spun around him as he conjured them, then with a cry of "Homing Fire!" he launched them at the flying insect.
Luke meanwhile knew not to use another electric attack, yet his other projectile attack was water element, and would probably cancel out the effect of his brother's. "Colin, got a card I can use?" he asked.
Colin did. He drew it and called it out as he had been taught. "Card Slash! Greymon's Nova Blast activate!"
The RedLekismon felt the fire within grow. Yes, this would be helpful. He took a deep breath, then roared a ball of fire at the BladeKuwagamon, hopefully striking it before it could get to Valt.

"I'd joke-ask if you have a teacher complex for dating a dragon or a Vmon actually, but that'd be kinda moot because you never saw me as a Vmon until today, heh," Valt teased Luke with a shit eating grin. "Good going for ya tho, mate. I know you're a sweet mon. I hope that guy took great care of you. If he hurts your feeling, not only he'll get Badaboom to the face, I'll give him a taste of my fist too."
It doesn't do well for him though... Valt came back to the surface, gasping for air as he still dragged by the heaviness of the bog. It's a bit hard to climb out. Ryouta's eyes wildly scanning for any objects to help him with.
"Say, your name is Colin, right!? Whatever you do, I think that thing absorb electricity to be used for its attacks... so avoid it! I have several cards on me if you want to borrow it! Luke, right? If you can please distract it with something. I'm going to climb these trees to gather the ivies as much as I can. Hopefully that's enough to help Valt!"
It's reckless, but the Blade Kuwagamon was thankfully occupied with both of Bellamy's Homing Fire first impacted on it, and it recklessly charged in anger, but Luke's Nova Blast hits it. It buzzed louder and suddenly shot its electric version of Bellamy's Homing Fire at him and Luke. Thankfully, it still haven't noticed the humans yet. Perhaps it's feral. Ryouta meanwhile doing well, but sadly he can't really go too far from the trunk, because he's so heavy. Being at the hundreds of kilograms in weight definitely have its downfall. So his gathering progress is rather slow.

For a moment all were horrified that Valt wasn't going to resurface, but he did, thankfully. They had to move fast and clear the battlefield of this enemy, otherwise he'd sink back down. They may be able to fish him out, but not if the BladeKuwagamon was still there and attacking them. Their attacks connected, but the machine insect digimon counter-attacked with lightning of its own. "You okay?!" Luke and Bellamy called to each other. Thankfully they were, but the attack still left nasty stings on them. Colin then turned to Ryouta, understanding the crisis at once. "Alright, if you've got anything with a good projectile attack, I'd be glad" the boy answered, drawing another card, this one should hopefully help. "Luke, Bells, we're gonna try and hypnotize it! You ready?!""Ah, I getcha" Bellamy said, the two of them understanding when they saw the card with the white cat digimon. "Do it, Colin!""Card Slash! Tailmon's Cat's Eye Hypno activate!" Colin called, scanning the second card through his D-Arc. "On the count of three, Luke!" Bellamy called to his brother, his eyes glowing green while Luke's glowed blue. "One... two... three!""Cat's Eye Hypnotism!" the twins shouted at once, both of their eyes fixed on the insect. If it looked at Bellamy, it would be slowed, and if it looked at Luke, it would fall asleep entirely. Surely this had to work to help their friend! Bellamy uses Cat's Eye Hypnosis on BladeKuwagamon.

"Errr..." Ryouta tapped on his card holder again. It whirred and finally ejected a card out. "How about this one!?" Ryouta called out as he tossed the card at Colin. As much as he wanted to give Colin better card, he have no idea what to give him. What he gives in the end is eventually a card that might be the most powerful in his arsenal at the moment:
VB-33 Arms of Omega
He have no idea how good it will be honestly. If he recall it correctly doesn't the cards scales with the power of the user? He's new at this card business, but hopefully that would be enough to help either Bellamy or Luke. He immediately goes back to collect more vines.
Valt is still gasping for the air, attempting to reach the shore, but soon the Blade Kuwagamon started to notice him. It about to dive at him, but the double cat eyes hypnosis was actually good enough. The Blade Kuwagamon indeed slows down and then fell to sleep... This in return had a catastrophic consequence to it. Because its weight, it fell from the air to the bog, harder than Valt ever did, and immediately sunk.
...Soon after, datas rose from the bog to the sky.
"...That thing is dead?" Ryouta muttered. But there's no time for this. With the shore clear, he immediately tossed the vine at Valt who gratefully grabbed it and pulled himself to the shore.

That had seemed to do the trick. Although Bellamy cringed a little at the realization of what he and Luke had just done. "Damn... hate that I did that to another digimon..." but at least it would have time to think its actions over at the Village of Beginnings.
Now it was a matter of getting Valt out. Ryouta seemed to have that covered, seeming to be able to find some vines. Colin meanwhile looked at the card that Ryouta had given him, then shook his head. "Nice find, Ryouta, but, I don't think strong cards can work if there's a control spire nearby". It seemed only Bronze and Silver ones were good to go. He'd hand the card back later. For now, he stood by, wanting to do what he could to help Valt out.
Bellamy meanwhile turned his attention to Dokamon. "Right, now we gotta get you off this island..." he muttered to himself. He wasn't going to go and join Valt in the bog though, as BladeKuwagamon proved, it would be too dangerous, and Dokamon could sink. "Hey, Colin! Try Wings of Light on me!"
"Right!" Colin said, and scanned the card through his D-Arc. "Card Slash! Wings of Light activate!"
At once, large, ethereal wings sprouted from Bellamy's back. The BlackTailmon then would proceed to gently lift Dokamon up, even if he was still unconscious. He tested the flight capabilities first. "Damn... it's gonna be a close one..." Bellamy growled, Dokamon's large fists and metal parts making him rather heavy. However, if he dropped him... "Luke, might not be able to make it. If he falls in, you fish him out, okay?"
"Oh, thanks" Luke said, scowling. "Wait until they get Valt out first" he advised. Actually... he had an idea to make it easier. "Saturation!" he shouted, and conjured a blue spell over the mud, making it looser and wetter. It had the effect that Valt may sink quicker, but the mud became more like water, so it would be easier to pull him out.
Luke uses Saturation on the mud to make it more like water.
Saturation - Focuses the humidity of the air around his opponent to saturation point, coating them with water and giving them the effect of being soaked. In effect, it increases the damage they would receive from electric attacks for 3 turns. [Cooldown: 1 post]

Thankfully it looked that Valt is... alright? The mud being wetter doesn't make him all that happy though, considering how much mud caking him at the moment. He gasped for air after all the kicking. He can swim just fine, but Homeostasis, swimming in mud is another matter altogether.
"...Give me something to clean all this shit."
"Ummm... let's see..." Ryouta once again tapped his card holder. A card popped out soon after. "How about this?" He once again did his routine "Card Slash! Deep Savers 01 - Betamon's Water Tower!"
Valt immediately touched the ground and thankfully blast of water geyser immediately cleaned him from all muds. He shook his body clean from the water.
"...Is the Dokamon alright?" he finally asked the twins. However it doesn't seem that they need that answer. He's breathing normally. It's... concerning though... how to get him here? Worse there are more sound of bugs. The battle just now might have caught their attention.
"...Kuh... This is not looking good... Luke, is it possible for you to just jump there instead?"

For the moment, it seemed Valt would be okay. The loosened mud was still filthy, but, at least the slow sucking effect was less of a problem now. But, several problems still remained. First that Bellamy and Dokamon were now on an island in the muck, and that there seemed to be more bug digimon approaching. They would have to act fast.
Ryouta asked if Luke could jump that far, he shook his head. "No, I wouldn't make it halfway..." he said, then growled at the fact that more enemies seemed to be approaching. Now that Valt was out and safe though, that would open up ideas of how they could get Dokamon to safety.
"Fly as long as you can, Bells, if you can't make it all the way, I'll handle the rest!" Luke called, then turned to his niece. "Gaz, stay here, look after everyone for the time being" he told her. Gaz nodded, knowing better than to question him at a time like this.
"Okay..." Bellamy began, holding Dokamon in his arms, the BlackTailmon's Wings of Light beating as hard as they could. "I'll... get you... across... one way... or another!" he said to his passenger. His initial flight was a good start, he managed a decent height, but the heavy weight of Dokamon quickly lowered him. Bellamy strained his temporary wings to their greatest extent, but, when he felt his foot touch the surface of the bog, his fears took over. "N-no! Damn it!" he cried as his reflexes kicked in and he dropped Dokamon into the mud.
"I've got him, Bells!" Luke shouted right away, glad his brother had managed to cross at least two thirds of the way across, well within his range. The RedLekismon leapt over and landed in the mud next to Dokamon. "I've got you, we'll get you... the rest of the... oh no..."
Bellamy wasn't kidding with how heavy Dokamon was. As much as he struggled to stay afloat, it was simply impossible. Both Luke and Dokamon quickly sunk below the surface. Luke attempted to swim back upward, but it was futile.
Thankfully, Colin had activated the Diving Suit program with his digivice, creating a breathing mask over Luke's face, allowing him to breathe down here, but, Dokamon did not have his. Luke didn't want him to die down here, so, at the bottom of the bog, 3 meters down, Luke disengaged his own mask from his face and clasped it over Dokamon's, allowing him to breathe.
'We'll get there...' Luke was determined to save him. He held his breath instinctively for a moment, but it wouldn't be enough. Eventually, he could hold his breath no more and inhaled... but... something prevented him from drowning. Of course! His Armor Adult form was a Lekismon variant, a Deep Saver digimon that could breathe underwater! While it was filthy gross mud, it was at least saturated enough for him to survive in.
While he couldn't speak down here, Luke made a determined trek through the bottom of the bog, rising upward every step. On the surface, Bellamy was panicking and screaming, worried that his brother would die, but, the bubbles they could see never stopped. It was clear that somehow, Luke was still breathing down there.
Eventually, about a minute later, two soggy, filthy heads broke the surface. Luke gasped for fresh breath as he pushed Dokamon onto dry ground, and he climbed out after him. To his surprise, Bellamy immediately hugged him.
"Luke... I thought you were gonna die..." the BlackTailmon sobbed. Luke realized just how scared he was, then patted his back.
"It was all under control, Bells, you did your best" he said, coughing out a bit of mud, but appreciated the gesture all the same. "Heh, Bells, you're filthy now. Here, I'll wash us all off".
Luke then focused, drawing moisture from the air, and conjured a gentle shower that washed the mud from himself, Dokamon and Bellamy. When he stopped, he looked to Ryouta and Valt.
"Is Dokamon okay?" he asked, urgently. He had made sure the little blue digimon was breathing the whole time while under the surface, hopefully he hadn't come to peril.

That far huh... halfway, yeah doesn't seem all that good. if only he can evolve into XVmon, this would be easier... Thankfully it looks like Colin got the same card and card slashed it on Bellamy... unfortunately however, apparently Wing of Light pretty much is depending on the Digimon. Had he know, would he have asked Luke to do that? No, frankly he's as panicked as the rest, or maybe even more. Even if he can fight, he would probably be useless against same Digimon like Blade Kuwagamon. Those fast, small types are the worst... and if they're stronger than him? Double fuck.
Still, it was a moment of disaster waiting to happen. Bellamy's small wings wasn't enough to carry the heavy armed Dokamon. Trauma, Valt knows it all to well. He was about to jump to help the Dokamon, but he remembered that his size isn't any bigger! Dammit all! He watched helplessly as Luke goes in to save him.
...Deep inside, the splash apparently was enough to wake up the Dokamon. In panic, it tried to swim up, and even try to launch its metal gloves to the surface to no avail. When Luke tried to grab him, he instead seem to lash out in panic. Only when he felt he could breath that he seemed to calmed down somewhat. It's at this time Luke could feel something... something inhibiting inside the bog. It's not Dark Tower, it's nothing of that sort... but it scattered on the wall of the bog itself.
Just as Luke returned to the surface and Valt managed to pull the Dokamon, suddenly they found themselves swarmed by bunch of Waspmons.
"...This has been in my mind for a while now, but... why are there a lot of machine Digimons here!? it doesn't make sense at all!"

To Colin, Luke and Bellamy, it would have made no difference to whom he had given the Wings of Light to. The wings were no stronger on Bellamy than they were on Luke. Alas, that was probably one of the weakness of having twins. Neither were as strong as a single digimon, and with Dokamon weighing the same, there was nothing that could have been done.
Under the surface, Luke felt Dokamon suddenly awaken and begin to panic. Thankfully when Luke gave him his breathing mask, Dokamon calmed down somewhat. It was a long, difficult hike to the surface, but, even though in air he wouldn't be much use, Luke was still tough and strong, even under the mud. But still, he could feel something... wrong down there. Like the feeling that had blocked evolution above Child normally was more concentrated down here. This concerned him. Was it the properties of the bog?
Also... how were the Adult level BladeKuwagamon able to hold their forms when they couldn't evolve themselves? They didn't even have dark rings. This was something the RedLekismon mulled over while he could do nothing more than carry Dokamon to the surface.
Even then, they had no chance to recouperate. They were further attacked by a wave of Waspmon. To this, Luke gave his advice in one word.
"RUN!!" he shouted. Now that Dokamon had been saved, they had no more reason to linger here. Colin, Bellamy and Gaz saw no reason to argue with that.
"I'll cover our rearguard!" Bellamy shouted, taking the rear. He halted, turned momentarily, then conjured three fireballs around his body, the flames spinning wildly. "Homing Fire!" he shouted, launching them at the foe, but didn't care to linger to see where they landed, chasing after his family and friends.
In the lead, Colin was leading the group back to where Daedalus was waiting - outside of the range of the de-digivolution field. They only hoped they could make it.
Bellamy casts Homing Fire on the enemy Waspmon, hoping to hold them back.

Shit shit shit, no time to not run from this shit. Time to bail, whatever happened in here seriously it's time to bail! Ryouta grabbed the Dokamon who was confused as hell, but seem to understand that at least he's in fine hand (er, back). With his small feet and huge arms, no doubt he won't be able to run like that, but thankfully thanks to Ryouta's timely intervention, he could escape with them. Now... it's not looking good though. The laser blasting from each Waspmons are like death sentence. A hit and dead you are. Thankfully for both of them, their aim sucks. That and helped with Bellamy being rearguard and the Dokamon shooting them with his launchable gloves made them flinching somewhat so their shot got delayed or even missed the target completely.
As they keep running, adrenaline pumping in their system and laser raining on them like some movie SFX, Ryouta's Digivice beeped. At first he had no idea what happened, but... there are two signals. Two... not just one, but two. He quickly passed it to Valt.
"This... Digimental!? SO CLOSE TOO!"
"Should we risk it and go right there or--"
But before he could say anything, the path ahead is blocked by Kokuwamons, almost as if someone knew where they're hiding. They're... too organized for this sort of thing, and it's seem that they're trying to trap them somehow... For what reason? For what sort of motive? Things like that turning rapidly in Valt's head but...
"Guys, trust me in this! We're going to get to whatever place the Digimental is in... if we have at least one more... if I can help, we might be able to break loose! What do you two think?"
"I said go for it, but we can't really stop our feet anyway! Might as well as going there now!" Ryouta shouted.

"Digimental?!" Colin repeated. So, Ryouta's digivice was picking up on signals from digimentals. At first he was about to ask to forget about that, but... no. Wait. If Ryouta and Valt had a digimental, then they could help fight their way out of this situation too. Luke, Bellamy and Gaz quickly came to the same conclusion. "Let's do this! We might not get another chance!" Bellamy declared. He just hoped there wasn't anymore bog involved. Their path to the digimental was blocked by two Kokuwamon. Colin thought hard on this, then made his decision. "Luke, Bells, Gaz, we're gonna help Ryouta and Valt get their digimentals" he declared. "Any objections?" "None whatsoever!" the three of them declared, facing down the mechanical bug digimon. Luke and Bellamy were about to charge up their attacks first, but to their surprise, it was Gaz that struck first, her claw blazing with fire. "Infernal Slash!" she snarled, and aimed a burning slash attack at one of the Kokuwamon. "URGH!! Finally! I get some action in this!" the Gazimon snarled, beating her fists together, all fired up. Bellamy couldn't help but be proud of his daughter, but still, they had obstacles to clear. "Lightning Paw!" the BlackTailmon cried, aiming a punch to finish off the Kokuwamon his daughter had attacked. "Moon Night Kick!" Luke snarled as he aimed a kicking attack at the second Kokuwamon with his powerful legs. Hopefully this would be enough to clear their way. Gaz uses Infernal Slash on Kokuwamon A.
Infernal Slash: Roaring bright flames dance along her claws as she aims a powerful slash at the foe. If it hits, it will weaken the power of the enemy's next attack by 1 level. This effect does not apply if the enemy is Champion level or higher. Inherited from Coronamon. [Cooldown: 1 turn]

Good, four of them agreed. Ryouta did not want to stop at the moment to check his Digivice, so he signaled to Valt to lead them. Thankfully as they goes, Gaz quickly dispatched one of the Kokuwamon. An attack from Luke and Bellamy each was enough to send two of them to state of almost dying. There are no time to waste. Immediately they began their run again.
"Heh, that's one great move. What's your name? Gaz? Can see that you're as talented as your dad, hehehehe." Valt praised the Gazimon. "Actions eh, we'll get a lot after this... Hopefully. Say Luke, Bells, can you reach armor perfect in this place? I'm not sure just how strong is the limitation of dark tower but..."
"...Part of you think that this is not Dark Tower?" Ryouta suggested.
"Yeah. You noticed huh?"
"It... felt like something else altogether. There might be something down there, but not what we're expecting. If it's really related to some mastermind, then... I'm dreading what that means."
"We're here!"
What they found, unfortunately, was nothing. No building, no structure, nothing. It's not even a cave, it's a clearing... but the moment they get through, suddenly the Digimon can felt a bit zap, almost like their ability to evolve has returned... Meanwhile, the Waspmon looking confused.
"...This... is a barrier?"
"Perhaps...?"
What stood in front of them turned out to be some gazebo. Two Digimentals sat there... each... are emblazoned with Crest of Justice.
"...Lemme tell you, but back then you had... one of these things, you see... They're not like... this to be honest. They're... different looking." Valt commented.
One of them looked like a crystal with helmet and four blades on the back... another looked like an egg covered by bat wing and tied in chains.
"....But this is... definitely ours," he added albeit still unsure.
"...What... should I do then?"
"Think about King Arthur lifted the Excalibur I guess... But I suggest you to wait a bit. I feel like this barrier only holds up until you take one of them. Some breather might be nice."

Gaz grinned at Valt at the praise. Partly because it was praise, and partly because it showed that the V-mon still seemed to be in high spirits even after that terrible ordeal he had suffered. She decided that he was pretty cool, and could tell why her dad had so much respect for him. "I got a whole lot more where that came from, Valt-san!" she replied, hoping her honorifics were correct. While yeah she had been raised as a brisk brooklyn English speaking bunny, she was also keen to learn about honorifics correctly. Although not for very noble purposes, mainly to know when it was okay to drop the honorifics and just call someone an asshole. Thankfully she was nowhere near that in her opinion of Valt so far.
Valt's next question caused a bit of exasperation to spread out on Bellamy's face. "Pal, if I could evolve to Armor Perfect that woulda reduced the complications of the past half hour by roughly 95 percent!" he replied. Bellamy's Armor Perfect form was Sateramon, who could have easily flown over the bog to fetch Dokamon and killed every attacking BladeKuwagamon with ease. That he could not was concerning.
"I feel the same, Armor Perfect wouldn't have worked" Luke added.
They then proceeded onward to some sort of gazebo. Colin, Luke, Bellamy and Gaz were rendered a bit nervous by how the illusions seemed to work in the area. However, they noted the digimentals. They seemed as real as the ones that they had claimed as their own. Not only the sight of them, but the resonance they made with their heart and digicores. These were the genuine things alright.
"Ryouta, Valt, we'll help you get those things as best we can" Colin promised. "All I can suggest... we go about this carefully. There could be a trap at any step".
