Holly tilted her head a little bit and her ears swiveled quietly as her Da spoke. He seemed up for her suggestion for the whole getting different sized chair things. It made sense to her that they'd have different types, it was a bit awkward to stand while eating unless you were in a hurry. And with how this food tasted who could be in a hurry?
"It shouldn't be too hard to get different sized chairs then? Wait these are human chairs?"
The meicoomon blinked a little bit and paused during her own tending to her meal. Her mother on the other hand looked quietly between the two of them; blinking somewhat owlishly. K wasn't honestly expecting... well this sort of discussion at the table at least. Not from her daughter so early; but at least her husband had that on the ball didn't he?
"Well that's... good to know. I'll just have to practice to see what mine is like! More forms? Like I could have other forms than my Meicrackmon one?"
Holly scratched at her head and leaned a little bit on the table looking somewhat excited that her Da would find something more her level. She didn't know what her level was, or what exactly she could go for. But if she could keep reading the stuff in the library that would make it actually really nice.
"Thanks Da!"
She'd beam a little bit and roll on the 'balls' of her feet for a moment still trying to take her time with this portion of the meal. This would probably be her last helping; considering she didn't want to be too greedy about taking more stuff even if it tasted really good.
"Okay! Well. I mean. Reading's easy and I've been learning a bunch of stuff! It's a good way to pass the time too; but it does make me have more and more questions."
There was always that awkward desire of more knowledge every time she opened a book. It was a thirst to her, for some of her kind that could be considered her type of hunger. The sort that she needed to be filled.
K returned that glance with a small grin shaking her head a little bit. Her children were all awfully bright in their own way. She'd muse over the idea of what to do with her third child. There was quite a bit they could give to her; they could easily support this desire to read and such. It seemed to curb her bubbly nature just a bit which the renamon found a touch odd. The renamon flicked an ear and made a simple suggestion.
"Well we can go over the books that she's read to figure out an average. Shouldn't be too difficult to do that I'd think."

"Mhm! Well, it was the tamers who founded this club, anyway."
Mikemon gave a nod, both to that and her next question. "Well, you definitely can, but its hard to tell just how many you would have." For now, curious as he was about her own daughter's intellect, he couldn't help but give a smile at her curiosity. She was going to grow fast - Mikemon could tell that just from a glance. Heck, going through those science books, it seemed that Holly already had quite a handle on reading!
"Hm... well, if you could put the books away better, I can have Stingmon issue you a library pass for the building itself. I mean, it sounds like you might read through anything I give you pretty quickly... though remember to throw a few fun books in there too, alright?' He gave a nod, before returning to his meal for a little bit. K's cooking was, as always, divine, but now he had this little 'riddle' to figure out as well. Just what could he do with Holly?
"Hm... figuring out an average might be the best, but I'm not even sure if she's settled down to where we'd be able to pick it out..."
It was tricky. But he simply decided to ask:
"Holly, quick question - well, think of it as a quiz, actually. If I have eight groups of seven apples, how many are there, total?"

"That.. makes sense. Humans kind of are about all the same size right?"
Holly tilted her head just a little bit and at mikemon's next answer she'd consider quietly just how many forms she'd actually have. There were a few that she knew of in general thanks to her da, but she felt like pressing for more answers.
"So how many forms do we normally have? Like you told me about ultimate and mega. But it feels like there's more than that? Or am I assuming too much?"
The meicoomon furrowed her brows a little bit and then dipped her head in a quiet nod. She could easily put things back better if she knew how they were supposed to be! She'd continue to tend to her meal mulling over a few things. Her ears flicked and her tendrils wiggled from barely controlled excitement.
"I mean if the bindings need to be facing out and they just need to be put back where they were I don't think that'll be a problem for me as long as I don't take too many at once... Like the picture books Da? I read those all in under an hour or so. They uh.. didn't have many words."
K on the other hand seemed rather amused by the exchange going on between her husband and daughter. She'd grin just a little bit and flick her ears at his agreement with finding an average. If she hadn't settled down well.. it would be a long struggle of course.
"Fair point, it might take some time in that regard then."
Holly however blinked and looked up from her meal at her father addressing her with another question. A quiz of sorts. She'd blink owlishly at him mention of apples. Eight groups of seven? She'd put a hand to her mouth and furrow her brow.
"That's a lot of apples. What would you even do with that many? Uh. Well."
The meicoomon furrowed her brow further; it seemed as though she wasn't going to answer immediately but she'd tap her plate a bit and tilt her head. She didn't seem terribly certain of herself and it seemed like more of a question than an answer.
"Fifty-six apples? You could make a lot of apple cider or stuff. Do we have that many? Why do we need all of them? I mean you said that we have a lot of people coming here. Is it for them?"
K blinked a little bit and looked to her husband; she wasn't expecting holly to really know math yet and finding that out the 'hard' way was a little jarring. Just how much had she been delving into? Or maybe she had been reading some study material in the mix of all that stuff she had been taking from the mikemon's study?

"Mhm... most are between five feet and six feet tall." That answer was easy enough, but forms? That was a bit more complicated: "Most Digimon have a set of six forms: 'Fresh, In Training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, and Mega', in that order. In this case, each is stronger than the last - though some, like your mom here, are able to Digivolve into different champions and different ultimates. There are forms higher than mega, but those are relatively rare"
It was a bit of a complicated topic, if Mikemon really wanted to get into it, so he kept it pretty basic for now. It seemed that Holly was excited to have better access to the Library - though he did chuckle at the picture books! "Well, we all have to start somewhere. Sorry if they were a bit, um, boring for you."
What Holly managed to do next? Well. Mikemon was taken a bit by surprise. It took her some time, but without writing it down, she managed to multiply. She already had that level of math? In her head, no less? "Fifty six is right! And, um... well, no, we don't have that many apples. I was just curious to see how you'd get to the answer - though K does make a good apple pie."
He gave a smile. If he was sitting next to Holly, heck, he'd give a scratch to her ear... but at that, Mikemon did whisper to K:
"Syre was nowhere near her level when she was two weeks into rookie..."

"Well hopefully I can meet a few! I've never seen one so..."
The meicoomon scratched at her fluff blinking a little bit and sort of tended to her meal as her father spoke. Her eyes dilating a bit as he explained out how many forms there were. So in the grand scheme of things there was at least six forms that most could access and some higher than mega that were rare? Just how rare were they? She wanted to ask about it more and get into herself but she felt like that would be a poor topic to get settled into for too long.
"Makes sense to me. Wait ma can digivolve into different forms? At different levels? That's... wow. Uhm. How does she manage that?"
"Like everyone I'm still learning Dear. It takes a lot of work but I think it's worth it."
The renamon let out a soft somewhat loose chuckle and tilted her head a little bit setting her fork against her plate as her family spoke to one another. Holly flicked her ears and shook her head a little bit at the thought of them being boring.
"They weren't boring! Just really short!"
Holly however bounced in her seat a little bit when her father seemed to praise her for getting it right. And upon hearing that her mother made a good apple pie she'd look at her; in which K gave a little grin in return.
"Looks like I know what I'm making for desert tomorrow..."
The renamon let out a loose chuckle and flicked an ear leaning slightly so that her husband didn't have to lean so far. She'd blink a little bit and look down at mikemon frowning slightly. She'd return that whisper with a somewhat curious tint to it. Holly seemed content on munch on her chicken, her tendrils shivering a little bit with every bite.
"You also said that syre wasn't as energetic and she didn't get champion so quickly either. It's not surprising that two sisters would be vastly different right? I mean I'm a touch taken back by how quickly she's developing but it seems to me you think there might be more than that?"

"Well, its different for every Digimon. Ma here has quite a few, so she's worn quite a few different personalities, so to speak."
The doctor kept his smile, and with the small break in the conversation, did manage to get a good way through the roast chicken. It seemed that Holly was now steadily making progress through her second helping, giving time for K and the doctor to have their side conversation. And this was quite the important conversation to have.
K might have thought that this was just the difference between the two sisters, but when he was asked if there was something more to that... well, he nodded. "I mean... she's a cat a bit stuck in her shell, honestly. She does what she's told and didn't even think to leave her room until Syre said she could. Our Mei thinks differently - not bad differently, mind you, but differently. She can somewhat understand my high level books, she can figure things out in her head..."
The doctor hesitated, trying to pick his words.
"I mean, at the very least, she's very smart. I just don't know how smart."

"Mmm... just another thing I'm going to have to learn the hard way then!"
The meicoomon wiggled her ears a little bit mulling over the things that she had learned over the course of this meal. There were a lot of questions she could pose and a lot of problems that could come from them all. She had to think about what would probably be the easiest to discuss over a dinner and what would be better in a study. The more complicated stuff like cores, the different forms and what not would have to be kept to that probably...
K furrowed her brow just a little bit and flicked her ears. So she hadn't been leaving her room at all? That was something that the renamon hadn't noticed really; to be fair the little bit of interactions they had were meals and such but the renamon figured that her daughter didn't want to bother either of them.
"Well she hasn't been many places, maybe we should consider taking her out and about? She might not know how to really... interact with others all too well. Maybe to find out how smart you'd have to quiz her, or give her problems to solve. If she can somewhat understand your high level books this early maybe it might be a good idea to speak to someone about this. An expert maybe?"
The renamon looked quietly at her daughter and mulled quietly flicking her ears a few times.
"We'll have to keep more of an eye on her than before I think..."
There was a lot that the renamon wasn't sure about and her daughter was now added to the list. Mikemon did pose a good question for the two of them though; just how smart was she?

"Well, fortunately, I know quite a few experts in the field. Syre's been looking into schooling anyway, so we might just take her along for a similar test... but yes." He gave a sigh. "Blessed as it might be, she'll likely be a bit of a handful."
But, really, that was enough whispering at the other side of the table, now wasn't it? Pulling back, and returning to his meal, Mikemon decided to try and change the topic for now. "Holly, if you want to get a bit more into fishing, its something that Stingmon does quite a bit. He can show you a few technical things about using a fishing pole, and even how to put them together and take them apart. Heck, he can also show you how to prepare a fish once you catch one."
He gave a playful nod: "Because of the Stingmon, we can have fish once or twice a week as it is, assuming the weather cooperates. Would you want to give him a hand, every now and then?"

"Oh right, she has been studying for that sort of thing hasn't she? It's good that you do, else we might be in a bit of trouble. For us or for the experts?"
K gave a firm chuckle and leaned back to tend to her meal. Holly on the other hand had mostly gotten through her second helping of chicken and was working on her sides. She'd blink a little bit and flick her ears.
"Ooo! That would be super cool! I just uh. Know how to throw the line and a little bit about the sizes of hooks. Prepare a fish? Like getting it ready to cook?"
The meicoomon bounced a little in her seat and got a large grin on her face. She liked the idea of learning about her favorite pastime even if it had ended with a rather unfortunate event last time. She'd get a somewhat thoughtful look.
"So there is more to fishing than just tossing the line after putting bait on it... explains why his rod was so complicated in comparison to the one in the village. It was basically just a stick with some fishing wire attached..."
There was a somewhat amused giggle that followed and she'd perk up at the idea of her helping the stingmon. She looked practically ecstatic at the idea.
"I wouldn't be against helping him every time if he wants! I.. really like fishing even though... well. What happened last time."
There was a brief pause and the meicoomon frowned. She didn't really know what to do with the fishing trip's end. She really didn't; it was something that left her chest gnawing in pain in a fashion she couldn't explain. Shaking her head she'd start tending to her meal again flicking her ears a little bit. She'd mumble quietly and grow somewhat thoughtful after a few long moments.
"Learning how to fight, study stuff, read stuff, fishing stuff... Gonna be really busy..."
