Desmond saw how red Sam's face became for a moment. He had no clue that she thought that he was thinking about something not suitable for kids. He blinked a few times and even looked at DemiMeramon to see if he knew what was going on. And of course, he had no idea at all that she was thinking of that. Moving his attention back to the girl, the blond male became focused on her brown eyes. So much that he didn't realize that maybe he was holding eye contact for way too long from comfortable. He just looked at her without saying anything or moving too. Demi would notice that his tamer stopped moving and after a few seconds, he took a piece of sushi and poked Desmond's face with it. "Are you not hungry?" He asked innocently not knowing that he most likely saved them from that very awkward moment of silence.
"Erm..." Desmond looked away and felt his cheeks going red. "I'm still hungry. Just taking my time." Demi would poke the tamer's face with the sushi another time making him look at him with a sigh. "Don't play with your food, Demi." And then the small boy nodded before shoving the food into his own mouth. The blond male then slowly shifted his attention to Sam. "I mean, I live alone anyway..." He felt something poking him on the side. "With DemiMeramon." The Digimon smiled at him and went back to eating. "So yeah... I think that you will be very good company actually." He was going to say that having her beside him was way enough but he just bit his lower lip and stay silent for a second. "And if you feel uncomfortable, you can always go back here?" And he paused to mess with his hair. "I mean, It isn't like I'm holding you as a hostage. You can go back home the second you feel like it. I really don't want to make you uncomfortable..."
"And I think that you are pretty just the way you are..." His voice got smaller suddenly. "I mean, you are beautiful compared to a guy like me..." He never saw inside as good looking. Sure he knew that he wasn't ugly. He was just very, very average. Maybe a bit under that. His self-esteem wasn't high neither. "So... I would... Be very happy if you choose to spend more time with me..." He felt that it was getting harder and harder to not say the word love to her. They kissed but were they officially dating each other? He had no clue on how that works in real life but it looked so easy in books and the such. "Come stay with us!" Demi then shouted. "You make good food!" It was clear that Demi wasn't thinking about the whole staying together besides the whole eating together part. "Hawk can come too!"
Desmond also looked at the table for a few seconds. "Erm..." He was still looking at the table. He really, really wanted her to come to stay with him, if only for one day. He wanted to hold her close and tell her that she was gorgeous and kiss her and... His mind went to a dirty place and his face went red. He quickly shook his head to remove that thought. He closed his eyes and tried to think on how in love he was with her. Because what he was feeling was love. Well, love as he thought it would be. He wanted her to be happy. "So..." And he paused and bit his lower lip and then look at Sam with a shy smile. "Would you like to stay with me?"

After leaving Sam's home, the first thing Demond went to is to order a new pair of glasses. He took a new frame because Demi seemed very happy with his old frame. After that, they went shopping for something nice to wear. The DemiMeramon was also trying clothing. He knew that he wasn't going to go to the date with Desmond and Sam but he wanted to be like his tamer. The small boy took a bright red bowtie and a nice darker red dress shirt. He then completed it with a black vest and trousers and leather shoes. Demi was very happy that he looked that fancy. He was so happy and eager to show Sam that he could look good as well. They also went to get more casual clothing for the Digimon. After spending most of the evening shopping, they both returned home and rest. Tomorrow will be a big day, for Desmond.
Desmond spent most of the early hours of his morning trying different shirts and ties and shoes and everything else even if he bought clothing yesterday. "Does it look good?" He would ask his partner again and again. "Try red!" He would shout. Desmond wasn't sure, he looked at the bright shirt and shook his head. "What if she wears a darker color?" Demi had no idea why it would matter. A shirt is a shirt and red is a pretty color to him. The blond tamer would try a white shirt and then remove it. "White is too boring?" He asked. Demi shrugged. "Red is better." Desmond was starting to think that he should wear red after all. After half an hour later, Desmond decided on a grey shirt. He didn't want black cause it's boring nor white because of the same reason. Now he needed to choose a tie. This time, he had fewer choices which is a blessing for him. But it would still take a while. "How about this one?" Demi wasn't even paying attention anymore. "Try red!" He said as he jumped on Desmond's bed.
In the end, Desmond picked a darker purple one and picked a matching darker grey vest and trousers but no jacket. He messed with his hair but there wasn't much he could do with his short hair. "Do I look good?" He asked his partner who was next to him now. "Why not red?" The Frenchman sighed and then grabbed his silver watch and took a deep breath facing his mirror. "I think I'm ready." And with that both tamer and partner went down to the entrance of his small shop. He would wait there, patiently. Well, Desmond's heart was beating like a drum thinking that he would be good looking enough. Demi just wanted to show Sam and Hawk that he too could look fancy.
It didn't take very long for Sam and Hawk to come to them. Desmond looked at pretty Sam was in that dress. "Wow..." He whispered. "Wow!" Demi jumped in front of the girl and hugged her. "You look so pretty!" And he would let go of the hug and jump back few feet. "Look! I'm like Desmond!" The Digimon really wanted to look like his tamer. He then hopped closer to Sam once more and adjust his bowtie. "Look!" The blond male sighed and made eye contact with his date. "You look, beautiful." He would softly say before getting closer. He was happy that Hawk grabbed Demi away. "Bye!" The small boy said before going into Desmond's home.
Desmond was now next to the girl. He waited there, perhaps awkwardly, waiting for her to say something. "Sam..." He shyly said her name seeing that she turned her face away from him. It would take him a second before placing his hand on her chin and then gently turn her face toward him. He could see her pretty eyes without all this hair hiding her face. His hand went to brush her cheek and his heart began beating faster. "Your eyes, they are shining." That might sound like a very cheesy thing to say. "I mean... They are gorgeous." His face went very red and he moved his lips closer to hers and closed his eyes. He would give her a very slow kiss.
After the kiss, Desmond laughed a bit. "Too early for a kiss?" He joked. His hand then went to grab hers. "Do I look plain compared to you?" He tried to keep eye contact but would look away if she were to look away as well. "Do you know what you want to eat?" He would then asked. "It is my first date..." He knew that it was her first date as well. "Steak maybe? Or maybe pasta?"

Desmond smiled at her when she shyly said the word steak. Good thing that he did hear of a rather fancy one in Shibuya. However, he didn't write the number somewhere so he couldn't call to make a reservation. "There's one place that I've never tried but it got excellent reviews..." He said while walking hand in hand. "I think that it's a more western style of restaurant." He paused for a second to look at the sky. "We could go someplace else too if you prefer a more Asian kind of restaurant." Money wasn't the issue for him. He never really spent a lot since coming to Japan because of his lack of friends. He wasn't rich, but he has no debts at all. "I forgot to tell Hawk that he could eat whatever there is in the fridge..." He also forgot to tell Demi that he needed to share if Hawk was hungry seeing that in his human form, he could reach the handle.
"Maybe I should call them..." And he realized that he didn't have a home phone line so he couldn't call them. He stopped for a second to look at Sam. He wasn't going to go back home just for that, that might ruin the moment. "Oh well, I'm sure he will find that sooner or later." The two was now walking toward whichever restaurant she had chosen and try to go without running. The weather was nice, the sky was pretty much clear and there was only a gentle breeze. He wanted to take another path that goes into a park but he decided that maybe they could use that path when they come back. He didn't want the walk to be too long because both of them were too shy to come up with a discussion. Hopefully, that is going to change they will be eating something.
"Why follow them?" The DemiMeramon asked. Desmond told him that Sam and he wanted some time just them two. Desmond also told him yesterday to stay at home and eat everything he wanted. "Do they want us to follow them?" He was clearly confused. "If they want us to follow them why can't they see us? Is it because we are not dressed fancy enough?" It was getting complicated in his mind. As Hawk began making his way outside, Demi looked at the fridge and then the other Digimon. It was a hard decision but he wanted to see why Hawk wanted to follow them. "Wait for me!" He shouted before following Hawk.
Meanwhile, Sam and Desmond was now pretty close to the restaurant and had absolutely no clue that their partners were following them. Demi was trying to be as silent as possible and always behind Hawk. The walk was nice but both of them seemed to be content just holding hands for now. "So..." The blond male looked at the girl and smiled. "Did you tell anything to your dad?" He kind of hoped that she would say no. He wasn't sure how protective of a father he is seeing that it would be their first date and he didn't even meet him yet. Desmond wasn't sure if he was ready to see them too.
And with a few more minutes, they reached the restaurant and went inside. Everything was very fancy. Everyone was well dressed. Desmond started having doubts but he took his courage in hand and asked if they could eat here. The waitress asked them if it is their first time here and Desmond told her that it was their first date. The waitress smiled and directed them to a more private corner. She gave them the menus and now it was their time to choose. Everything had long names and quite a good price next to them.
"I don't think I know half of what it is written..." Not that his Japanese was bad but this menu had a lot of fancy names. "I think I'll just take the chef's choice..."

Desmond was pretty red as well when Sam told him that he too looked nice. "Thanks, I don't dress up for occasions very much..." He probably never did since living in Japan. It was mostly because he wasn't invited to events at the such. And even with an invitation, he wasn't the kind of guy that would say yes right away. He looking around to see how fancy the place looked like from the inside. Did they look out of place? Not really. Maybe a bit young but surely, they didn't mind. The blond male then slowly turned his head to face Sam who was trying to hide her pretty face. "Sam..." He softly said her name while leaning closer. He tilted his head on a side and with his left hand, he went to touch her cheek. "Are you alright?" He would ask with concern. "If you want, I can go see the waitress and we can go someplace else."
As soon as he said that the waitress came back with a bottle of champagne. She looked at the both of them being all red and couldn't help but to giggle. "Would you like some champagne for your first date?" She asked and Desmond leaned back into his chair and gave a quick look at his date. "Erm... Sure, we'll take some." He didn't know that Sam wasn't old enough to drink legally but the waitress didn't ask seeing that teenagers of her age don't come to fancy places like this one. She poured two glasses and went away. Desmond looked at the sparkling wine and wasn't even sure what it tastes like. He took his glasses and studied it for a moment. He had no idea what he what supposed to look for but maybe he looked like he knew? "Well, cheers." And he touched glass and took a quick sip. It was actually pretty good. But then it wasn't Desmond first time with alcohol, the legal drinking age in France was sixteen for wine so he had his fair share of wine, just not champagne.
Nodding to himself, Desmond carefully placed the glass on the table and took a deep breath. "So... I guess we should ask questions about ourselves while we wait for our food get here?" Is that what people do on first dates? He thought that way seeing that no one would be eavesdropping in here and their partners were far away from this place. The Frenchman place his left on the table for her to grab if she wished to do so. "How about I ask a question, you can ask the same one back and add a second one?" It didn't sound that bad of a thing to do, right? "I guess I can start?" And he took a quick sip and take a deep breath. "So, Sam..." He bit his lower lip and looked at her and smiled. "Where are you from?" He would ask timidly. "I mean, you seem like you are not just Japanese..." And he looked away hoping that he didn't insult her by asking that question. It sounded like a good one to ask but he was having doubts now.
"Psssst." The DemiMeramon was still behind Hawk not knowing why they were hiding. He barely peeked from behind Hawk and would go completely hide on every little movement from the other Digimon. "I don't see anything." He whispered to him. He knew that they were following their tamers but still had no clue on why they are doing that. And also, Demi didn't know the way home from here. So he just followed Hawk hoping that he knew how to go back. "Can we go home?" He would ask with a poke. "I'm hungry."

Desmond wasn't entirely sure that she was feeling comfortable with all this and kind of felt bad about that. Should they just pay and leave? The blond male thought about it and decided to at least try the food seeing that there were little chances that they will be back in here. He listened carefully to Sam telling him where she was from before taking a sip. It was getting better for him. Most likely because on how pricey that meal is going to cost him in the end. Not that he really mind the price, he came here to have fun with Sam even if she didn't look like having fun right now. But he did his best to smile at her. Moving his hand on the table near her side, Desmond waited for her to notice it and perhaps hold his hand for a bit.
The Frenchman was about to ask about her mother but by the look of her after speaking of her family, he decided that maybe it would be best to not ask more questions about that subject. He also remembered that she lives with her father and uncles but never said anything about her mother. "I'm from Paris. Born and raised there" He began speaking. "Father is British and mother is French thus the English name." He laughed softly. "Still not sure why they gave me a name that rhymes..." He never disliked his name but he always wondered why. Not that he ever asked them and he didn't even know where they live now. "I should ask them one day... Just for fun..." And he paused to take another sip. He was trying to make her laugh or maybe just smile. Smiling would be a good start. "I've been living in Japan for a bit more than three years now. That's why I still have that accent." He had a slight French accent on certain syllables.
"Your last name was...Yuki... " He wasn't trying to remember but just couldn't. He felt very stupid that he was on a date with a girl while he didn't even know her full name. His face went redder for a moment. It was now clear that he was struggling as his eyes went to look up and his jaw dropped a bit. "Yuki..." He was sure that he could remember the rest. After a few more seconds of him trying to think, he took a long sigh and gave up. "I'm... Sorry?" He had to apologize for forgetting her full name. "I do not remember your last name..." He made an awkward smile and looked at her hoping that she wouldn't be mad at him for forgetting that. "Could you remind me of your last name? It starts with a 'Y' I'm sure of that..." He tried to laugh so that it might come up as a joke but it was easy to see that he was being honest when he admitted not knowing her name. He has never been a good actor anyway.
Demi peaked to vaguely see his tamer and Sam together. "Oh, oh!" And he pointed to them for a second and then felt Hawk pulling him back. "Why are we hiding?" He asked still very confused. "And why are we whispering?" He then asked as he went back to hiding behind Hawk. "They can't hear us, there is a window there." The DemiMeramon wanted to ask more questions but clearly, Hawk didn't really want to hear him asking anymore.

Desmond also took a sip of the sparkling wine but began to notice that she was drinking it rather fast. Maybe she wasn't used to fancier drinks but it's alright, it did look like she was having fun now. Maybe because of his asking for her last name? He sure thought that it was that and not the alcohol speaking. So he just laughed with her and take another sip. If it goes like that, they, well she, might need another glass of it. The blond tamer had no clue that she was getting tipsy. Sure she was much more talkative but it was a good thing, he might be wrong though. He laughed once more and leaned back in a straight position and taking one more sip. His glass was still half full and he didn't think of taking a look at hers. He took could feel the heat going to his cheeks.
"Me? Look good?" And he laughed. "You should see yourself, you are gorgeous in that dress." He liked being complimented by her so openly. Surely one would notice that she made had already drunk too much. But not Desmond. It was his very first date and had no clue that it was her very first drink. And also date. He placed his glass on the table and smiled at her. Was this a side of her that she never showed before? Underneath that shyness, maybe she was just getting very comfortable. "Kiss?" He laughed once more and look at the table. "No." He simply said as his lift his eyes to look at the girl. "I have never been popular at school... Nor after." With his bright smile, Desmond looked at how fast she was drinking. "Sam Yukiji, from all my heart. You were my first kiss and I hope that it was the first of many to come." And he stayed silent before bursting in a laughter. "That sounded so cheesy." And he took like a bigger gulp.
As Desmond began to talk, the waitress came back with their meal. It was steak and a side of vegetables but it looked very fancy. "More champagne?" She would ask with a smile. They seemed to be having fun and knowing that it was their first date, she wanted to help those two. "Hmmm..." The Frenchman looked at Sam and her nearly empty glass. "A refill would be nice." He then decided for her. The lady poured the wine and winked before going away. "Have a good meal." She said. Desmond would wait for her to be away before looking at the meal then Sam. "Like they say in French, bon appétit!" He began cutting the steak in small cubes. "My turn to ask, right?" He took a bite and nodded. "It is very good."
"So, how about you?" He would say before a sip. "First date, first kiss? Or it was just a ruse to get into this fancy restaurant?" He said while laughing. He knew that it wasn't one but was still curious if she had kisses or dates before him.
Outside, Demi was now on the ground poking a small rock. He was waiting for Hawk to decide what to do next. And he still wasn't sure what they were doing here in the first place. All he knew is that he didn't know how to go back to Desmond's home and that he was getting hungry. "Hawk." He would say before poking the rock. "Do you think they want to share food with us?" It was a very innocent question from the DemiMeramon.

Desmond looked down at his drink for a second when Sam told him that it was indeed pretty cheesy. He laughed and slowly moved his attention back to those eyes of her. It was nice to see her smile and laugh. And he also noticed that her face was now pretty red as well. He didn't really think to associate it with the alcohol. He took a bite while listening to Sam telling him how she was bullied. Poor girl, he never really got bullied even if he was rather shy. But then, he wasn't different from most of his schoolmates if a bit taller. Desmond did find odd that she was laughing very openly about it. Maybe it wasn't as bad that she was describing it. Perhaps she had a couple of funny story about her past that she didn't share with him yet. So he just smiled at her and took a sip. He must admit, that champagne was pretty good.
The blond male looked at her take a bit and wait for her to swallow before answering. "I do." He would simply say just to see her reaction to these small words. It was true, telling on how lovely she is was making him feel happy as well. It was nice to be able to talk to someone that you really liked and knowing that that person too had strong feelings about you too. "But I'm just telling you the truth, I do find you pretty and how you try to hide your face when you blush is pretty cute." He quickly took a big gulp to hide his smile. Talking did get easier with the wine they were drinking. But it was all good and fun. "Hmm... Try the vegetables, they are delicious." Desmond swiftly said while looking at his plate. The wine was good but it was only better with the steak. He took many bits of the meat and vegetables, it was very good. He would laugh and smile for what seemed to be a good moment.
Until she asked him what she was. Desmond slowly lowered his glass and put it on the table. Was that a trick question? Maybe she meant that she was actually pretty old? Or maybe it's that she is younger than him by a lot. The Frenchman did not answer right away. Instead, he began studying her face and saw that maybe she was drinking a bit too fast. "I'm going to guess twenty." He said. It was the logical answer he could come up with. She was drinking so she must be of age to well, drink. "I'm twenty-two. Not much older than you are." To this, he took a sip and a bite of the steak.
Demi quickly jumped into the air and went to hug Hawk when he told him that they were going home. "Yay!" He shouted in joy before feeling hawk grabbing his hand. He gladly took it and began prancing next to him. "Do you think they saw us?" He asked while prancing. "Are they going to bring us more food?"
