Participants: - Leith, Veemon & Shoutmon - Kazuya & Royland - Darian Soten - (Non-Member) K
NPCs: - Cion
A noticeable chill lingered over the often peaceful Mainframe Hills, its grass and steadily degenerating flora assuming the colors of amber, soil and carnelian. The kind of cold that veiled these calm lands was barely perceptible, tickling every hair on a person's skin without causing actual pain due to frost. A cozy pelt, either grown or purchased, was appropriate, yet winter's clothing was too much. A perpetual dampness dwelled in this part of the Eastern Timberlands, turning the ground and rotting leaves grotty and slightly slippery. Nothing a good pair of shoes or great agility could not handle.
Pushing through the mild breeze that caused her silver fur to wave back and forth, Cion and her allies by her side eventually spotted their destination at the edge of the horizon - the conquered digizoid-mine that was rightfully an asset of ASCENSION. That was the core reason why she and the other members, as well as someone she considered a dear, treasured friend, had made their way to this far-off location. To reclaim what was by law the restrained Arniomon's property and with that a tool to establish and improve civilization. No matter the way, that was this task's ultimate goal.
"Keep your guard. Raiders are typically quite... 'erratic'." The small fox calmly recommended her companions, each of which had their own idiosyncrasies that led cooperation to be adaptable but also challenging. Some were clearly royal knights while others were somewhat alien to her or in a sense strong-willed. However, since she did not expect to face an army of fiendish ascendants, this mission turned out to be a worthwhile advent in teamwork. A group of evil digimons that probably possessed weapons and armors of digizoid... demanding but by far not impossible. She'd make note to enhance future plans.
In the end, with each passing step, their team came closer to the quarry's camp at the foot of a titanic mountain range. Surrounded by a fencing of wood and stone, the buildings within were visible without difficulty. Barracks, storages, refineries... few of them were even carved right into a hillside's base. The wooden watchtowers placed along the fence seemed out of place; almost as if a different architect had been responsible for their construction. In all likelihood that was the case. As to be expected, shady occupants of varying levels stationed them to defend the entrance while 'hardworking laborers' pursued their stew (or not).
With eyes and attention bound to be on them, Cion briefly looked over to her comrades and gave them a firm nod. "As briefed, I will try to reason with them. Don't anticipate a quick success though. Apart from that... prime yourself as you see fit." She stated, her words even-tempered yet serious - as it was necessary from a confident, hopefully inspiring leader.

"Man, I have been itching for a little ass to kick!"
"Do I really have to explain how counterproductive that mindset is?"
"'Ey, I know, you wanna take the nice way, and I'm gonna let ya. I'm just sayin'... I won't be sad if it goes sideways."
That was Shoutmon, Leith supposed: always a hothead. At least the young man and the other digimon, a Flamedramon, knew he at least wasn't a complete idiot. Seeing as he was traveling on official ASCENSION business, the Tamer was dressed in the right gear, but unlike his boss, the 19-year-old had elected to keep it casual with sneakers, jeans, and a hoodie with the group's logo instead of more formal wear. Hopefully that wouldn't make negotiations any tougher. "I wonder if we could play the celebrity angle here. I mean, guys, you and me are in Haunted Threnody, right? Maybe they like music?"
Flamedramon shrugged. "It's possible, but I still think we should follow Cion's lead."
"Well, naturally," Leith agreed.
Why was Leith here at all? He thought he was just about the least qualified person to be part of some grand corpor-nation in both skill and ideology, and yet there he was. Perhaps part of it was that he really hoped this thing would break big and be great for his band, and perhaps another was that he was so blown away by Cion's invitation to the group (or any friendly contact at all, really) that he wasn't thinking clearly. Still, he was there, and if nothing else he honored his commitments. The money wasn't exactly a downside either. "Shout, maybe you should digivolve. They might take us more seriously if you're not what some call the 'child stage.'"
"Sweet! How far?" Shoutmon excitedly exclaimed.
"Just champion, I think."
"Works for me! Shoutmon, digivolve to..." Shoutmon was already an oddball in the fact that he was completely organic instead of metallic. However, it made sense given his next form: an 11-foot scale-covered dragon. "...Sonoramon!"
I've met a 15-year-old who led a worldwide organization whose sister is the entire real-world digital police. I'm not a believer in much, but I've seen people like us do big things, and actually good, significant with nothing to start with. I guess this is my chance to be one of those people. This, indeed, was the true reason why Leith was here. "I think we're good whenever you guys are. All yours, Cion."
Rookie Shoutmon digivolved to champion Sonoramon.

How long had it been since Darian and Gabe had worked together on a team such as this? Darian smirked as he took a few glances at his traveling companions. He wasn't a stranger to working with other people, he had fought side by side with many other tamers in the past. Being a part of something so coordinated and organized though...hell, he probably hasn't done anything like that since the Kyousei Gattai days. What was he when that was active, sixteen? Good god it's been a while. Either way he was looking forward to meeting and working with these new teammates.
The mission details were pretty simple. Allow for an attempted parley, remove any hostile forces, defeat the leader, avoid any collateral damage to the camp or the mine itself. Easy enough.
Disguised in his holosuit, Gabe grinned when Leith's partnered Shoutmon openly stated that he had been waiting to kick some ass lately. It was always good that they had some people who were willing to fight if it came down to it. Too many people were too afraid to get down and dirty, they're hard to rely on in times of battle. He wasn't too worried about at least this Shoutmon.
"Hey Darian, hope you don't mind I stay in the suit." Gabe stated as he watched the previously mentioned Shoutmon digivolve, his arms folded behind his head lazily as they walked to their destination.
"I know you can react on a dime, so do what you like. Just be on guard, you know, the usual." Darian responded, staying behind Cion to ensure that she had the first attempt at speaking with the enemy.
Darian shuffled through his card deck, searching for some of his more favourite cards to use as well as some cards that he thought would be useful for the situation at hand, just in case of course. While doing so he addressed the rest of the party.
"We're good as well. Lead the way and we'll back you up as necessary."

The weather was the least of their concerns here; sure it was most certainly the sort that could make those that were woefully unprepared freeze their socks off or such. She was grateful for her own natural coat in this regard but that didn't stop her feet from getting wet; frowning softly in what amounted to distaste the renamon padded through the slippery ground. Using her cape to float here or there when it would be too much. The destination yawned up ahead of them and K mulled over what they were greeted with. Rubbing at her muzzle and furrowing her brow just a little bit. She'd flick her ear quietly and glance at the small fox as they suggested to keep on their guard. Stating that the raider type were 'erratic'. The renamon herself didn't like raiders, in fact she harbored a special sort of frustration with the type. There wasn't any need for this sort of lifestyle in the way the world was but... here they were. Having to reign in a group that could of easily just added itself to the masses in terminus. With the camp ahead of them the renamon studied what they were given to work with. Wood and stone fencing, buildings of many sorts. Some were attached to the hillside which likely meant they had entries of some kind to the mines for quick egress. She'd narrow her eyes just a little bit and turned her head to the individuals that had come on this mission. Cion herself spoke of trying to reason with the raiders which earned a simple nod from the renamon. "Of course."It seemed to her that the few others that did come with them varied in experience. It was nice yes, but dangerous at the same time. The trio of individuals, a human his flamedramon partner and a shoutmon [now a Sonoramon] seemed the most chatty. She didn't mind that too much; flicking an ear at their exchange with a small grin. There was really no point in going all out from the get go was there? While the pairing of what seemed to be humans for the most part quipped to one another. Simple stuff really; stating reaction times and a simple reaction to their 'leader'. With how the briefing went she was the only one not part of the team that was here. Not that it bothered her, it let her get a close look at people she could trust to be allies in more trying times. Well. Hopefully allies. With all the danger and corruption dancing around int he world now days... Pushing that thought train out of her head K stretch and crack her neck and exhale softly. Letting that gentle light of digivolution take her. Pushing her form to ultimate, letting that cape billow out further and her body become covered in a hard leather armor. The shutmon would adjust her hood and drag down her goggles over her eyes. Letting the off color of her vision block the bit of wind that was still tugging at her fur or snarling at her cape. The shutmon would reach back quietly, pulling out the large sword from her back. Growling softly she'd flip the blade open in such a manner that made it yawn and gently blow across the surface. Turning the whole thing into a large ice bow. They were far enough out to where they'd need some sort of cover and gap closer. So it'd behoove her to provide that to the allies she had. "My arrows shouldn't damage the buildings too badly and they will melt away after an hour or so. The shoddy construction stuff, the wooden fencing and watchtower. Is it acceptable to destroy those or should we keep them intact?"A simple question, poised for their 'leader' of sorts. Regardless of the answer she'd nock an ice arrow with a noticeable look of concentration on her face. There was a lot that was going to go on here; and she was fully expecting the whole thing to try to crumble around their ears.
-Just setting up Invoke the Mausoleum seemed like a good idea. Just in case of course~ [RAM UPGRADE] Invoke the Mausoleum: Using the giant sword on her back as a catalyst this digimon can summon a bow made primarily of ice. It's easily bigger than most digimon stand tall and requires to be shot at some sort of angle rather than a standard longbowman pose. This weapon can be formed immediately after switching weapons thankfully. This certainly allows the digimon to keep her mobility while also allowing them to attack with ice arrows formed from the digimon's energy pool. It takes not but a moment to do so and the arrows are large enough on their own to be used as a close quarters weapon. However because of the way the bow must be held any other weapons that this digimon has can't be used in fear of breaking the bow itself. Lastly, when struck by these arrows they slow a target considerably. If struck consecutively the target digimon is frozen for a single post and then cannot be affected by this again for another three posts limiting the power of the bow in the mean time. This bow may fire incredible distances but requires a proper sight line to use correctly; as blind firing this bow is incredibly dangerous.

Today was a chilly day but it was not going to be a boring one for Kazuya oda and his partner Royland, as this duo are going to be a part of a mining team, the others are a bunch of people they do not know. Those are Leith a twin tamer like Colin, his partners are Shoutmon and Veemon, Darian Soten and his digimon partner Gabe, K a solo digimon and finally the only one the duo was familiar with, leader or ASCENSION and their trusted friend Cion. Their lack of knowledge regarding the capabilities of the others with them made the duo initially be worried, but after hearing Cion praising everyone's skill the duo felt reassured, as they felt that they can absolutely trust Cion's judgement. What was weird to get used to for Kazuya however was not the fact that they are part of a larger unit, no it was wearing this uniform. Yes Kazuya often wore suits and this should be no different than the countless others he wore before, but it was the fact that it was branded by the name ASCENSION that was weird for Kazuya, it will probably take him some time to get used to it. Royland however was focused on trying to evaluate what the others are capable of, it was his instincts as someone who previously lead an army, he wanted to know in order to be able to properly use everyone's power for the sake of this mission. He was somewhat familiar with Cion so he did not bother to try and do further studies on his leader, Veemon and Shoutmon were either champions like him or they could be hiding there true strength he couldn't tell. Gabe the holosuited digimon seemed strong and a little confident in himself, but thanks to his holosuit Royland couldn't accurately guess his power. But that was not the case for the final member of this mission, she was not a member of this mission but she is Cion's friend. The mysterious Shutmon K, Royland could immediately that in this form she possessed immense power, while he had similar power in his past life, this was no more in this life. So Royland continued to stare at K for a prolonged amount of time, trying to figure out if her power stops here or does it go further than this. Kazuya then scratched his head " huh Leith has a point." Kazuya mumbled to himself, as he reached to his hand taking out his digivice from his right pocket. As the screen lit up with the word D I G I V O L V E spelled on it Kazuya uttered the following phrase. " Royland it's time to digivolve." With this Roy snapped out of his daze and stopped staring at K. "Huh ? Oh! Yeah, Spadamon evolves to..."
Moments later a cocoon of blue light covered Spadamon's body, inside the cocoon his body was broken down and reconstructed back to his new form. What emerged from the cocoon was a tall armored man with light blue armour, he wielded a very strong spear with him. " ClearLöwemon" After Royland got into his new form he turned towards the rest of the group, he held his spear strongly and struck a confident pose. "Since we are going to work together guys I think you should know this, my fighting style is best utilized in one on one situations. I can utilize my speed and power to overwhelm enemies, but going solo won't be smart. It would be best if we know how to fight in tandem with each other." Roy explained, he truly wanted to know everyone better and make everyone from a group of strong individual soldiers to an unbeatable army.

Though carrying themselves with varying personalities, drives and plans, Cion smiled while briefly looking over to her comrades before shifting her gaze back to the camp in front of her. Striding with beaming confidence, she was pleased to know that everyone put faith in her to lead and that they prepared themselves appropriately. Especially Leith's support was surprising as he was a rather strong-willed lad, but it was definitely appreciated. As for questions and opinions left, the minute they had until they arrived at the encampment's gate sufficed to ease concerns.
"I can't thank you enough for your long-range backing, K. As for collateral damage... the makeshift watchtowers and hovels are positively expendable. Everything else that seems from a different, actually competent architect - please keep that intact for future use." She calmly reminded the Shutmon. As someone who had no doubts in the knight's combat expertise, the silver fennec was certain that she would not cause any unnecessary costs with her bow of frost.
As for the chivalric ClearLöwemon... "The area is ample despite the buildings creating alleys. I recommend you splitting into two groups that flank each side while I breach the center to lend adaptable assistance." She even-temperedly suggested, hoping that her allies agreed with the sentiment that dividing enemy forces was a decent approach if it came to a violent clash. Naturally, the small fox wished that to not be the case, but alas raiders were feral digimons that believed themselves superior to savages and the common folk. Profligates...
The time for banter was over as the guards and 'laborers' shifted their attention to the team of visionaries, showing obvious signs of hostility such as frowns and raised weaponry. Slayers of varied levels and experience displayed nothing but enmity - as to be expected when seeing people of culture and decorum. Although proudly wearing her fine, dark suit embellished with ASCENSION's insignia, tension lingered inside her mind and gnawed at her spirit. Their adversaries carried tools forged out of refined digizoid, giving them a noticeable empowerment.
Stopping and motioning her friends to do the same, her aureate eyes spotted the black silhouette of a mighty foe that returned her patient focus with equal aplomb. It was given that the leader of bandits was either an open monstrosity or one veiled in a pretentious mantle of sophistication. Today the latter was on hand. "State your business or leave at once!" The chieftain exclaimed as his deep yet soft voice echoed throughout he plains. Stepping out of the mountain's shadow, the appearance of a shiny yet gloomy Gaioumon became clear to everyone. A Mega ruling lesser - typical.
Revealing the contract, Cion leaned her paws against her hip and firmly stood her ground. "This mine is rightfully ours. I mandate an immediate vacating within the hour. Though we seek no conflict, we will claim our rights as granted by law by the means you necessitate us to take. Ergo, I ask if you will comply." The restrained Arniomon instructed vociferously but with composure. Regrettably, a warmonger was seldom convinced by words and passive threats. "Compliance denied." The armored warrior responded unwoundedly, disappearing backwards into the quarry during which he commanded his minions to hold the line.
The pawns orders were unmistakable. If the protagonists did not heed the Dragon Man's recommendation then a fierce battle was inevitable. Self-evidently sacrificing his subjects was of no concern and the fact that they did not seem to care, or where to afraid to show defiance, was unsettling. Sighing quietly, the vulpine CEO tilted her head to face her colleagues. She shrugged blandly, having anticipated nothing more, but it was her civilness that often demurred, pushing her to attempt peaceful solutions. For vanguards of civilization, that was of course a virtuous behavior.
However, the time for exemplariness was already elapsed. The question was... would they seize the initiative or wait for the enemies to attack them first. Knowing the Arniomon's abilities, both were viable options. In either eventuality, body language had to suffice to establish consensus in the space of a few seconds.

Like always, Leith did not blindly accept Cion's plan. He thought it through, visualized it in his head, played it out... and found it acceptable. That was why he agreed, "We'll flank left if this goes to hell. Hey, strangers, one of you get m back?" Leith was speaking to K and Darian, as he thought the assistance of exactly one of them would lead to the most equitable distribution of power.
Even though he was scared out of his mind, Leith walked with a sort of composure and poise that didn't seem to fit the situation. Of course, it took some conscious effort out of him to do that, especially when facing down a mega-level digimon. This was a level that his partners, to his knowledge, could not attain. That meant the diplomatic approach was all the more important and yet simultaneously made keeping his air of confidence up much more difficult.
Sonoramon, on the other hand, made no such facade. He was looking or any excuse to get pissed, and he wasn't shy about showing it. Every glare, every threatening point, he returned with his own gaze and, occasionally, a low growl, a warning that he was just looking for an excuse to break from his leash and rain hell down on this settlement. Still, for the moment, he was almost peaceful, trudging behind most of the group given his size, orb weapons held in a tight grip and head on a swivel.
Neither Leith nor Flamedramon had intended for the latter's form to be a show of force, but Leith only thought later it was perhaps brilliant. It broadcasted that he could reach a relatively high form without playing his whole hand. Flamedramon insisted on walking in front and to one side of Leith, ever the faithful bodyguard to his beloved human partner. While he, too, kept his head on a swivel, he was more watchful and less aggressive. Hopefully his form alone signaled bad news while his attitude said everyone could walk away if they so chose.
And yet, apparently body language wasn't gonna cut it against this mega digimon. Leith was half-tempted to strike while his back was turned, but he didn't know he had the force to make a dent. His moment of hesitation cost him the chance. The young man would have liked to appeal to the forces around them, then, but they seemed set in their ways, and Cion had visibly given up. The decision of whether to strike first or last, then, was obvious. While normally unwilling to escalate the situation if he wasn't designated or de facto leader, survival instinct overruled that. "Execute."
Then, like a human who was not an idiot, Leith ran for cover, specifically toward his left. Flamedramon ran alongside Leith on his way to safety behind a stone tower... hopefully one of the later additions in case it was destroyed. "Flame Shield!" As Leith disappeared, Flamedramon's entire body caught on fire, but it didn't appear to hurt him or even harm him. No, this was his own internal flame externalized. Suddenly, touching him with those weapons had become a health hazard.
"Monophone!" As Sonoramon took to the skies, he banged both of his orbs together, at which point their purpose was revealed: they were resonators. While the young man covered his ears, Flamedramon was used to this enough that he was hardly affected. However, as Sonoramon through both orbs toward the ground, in spots where they would maximize the area the sound reached, the resonators screeched at a loud volume and high frequency that the rest of the opponents were unlikely to appreciate. Flamedramon used Flame Shield. -Flame Shield: For the duration of three posts, starting on the post this ability is used, this digimon cloaks its whole body in fire. This deals moderate fire damage every time an opponent's attack causes the opponent's body or held weapon to make physical contact with this digimon's body. Cooldown: 3 posts.
Sonoramon used Monophone and threw the orbs down to the ground. -Monophone: This digimon summons two of his resonance orbs and bangs them together to make them both resonate with a high-amplitude and almost ultrasonic frequency. They continue to ring for five posts, during which time sonic damage is dealt to any opponent who can hear one at a rate of 30% of normal Sonoramon damage per post. Cooldown: 3 posts.

K could feel eyes on her, the sort that were friendlier than the ones down in the camp. Blinking a little bit she'd turn her head to find the source of that 'feeling'. She was greeted with the Spadamon staring at her in a somewhat curious light. She'd bristle just a little bit and check over her arrow flicking an ear before speaking. "Eyes up and focus. If you have questions you can ask them later."If they weren't just about to kick down a gate to a group of individuals sitting on a mine to digizoid K probably would of been a touch more chatty. She wasn't exactly sure what the other was staring at her for; but it didn't much matter at the moment. At cion's thanks the shutmon dipped her head in a nod gazing quietly at the smaller fox. "No problem. I'll keep that in mind; I'll avoid explosive abilities then."The shutmon tilted her head a little bit and blinked at Leith's call. She'd consider for the moment and then shift her stance. If they were to go left that means that she'd have to... Right. She'd plant a few ice arrows next to her with a thoughtful look on her face. With having two fighting partners that would mean she'd have to cover two people from a distance for a little bit before inevitably having to close the gap. "Of course. Pick your targets and I'll see if I can deal with the extras as they come."A flamedramon and a Sonoramon, two draconic digimon. Easy to keep track of considering what they were fighting. Pretty damn obvious as the shutmon drew back her 'bow string' to give it a small test.
K watched patiently flicking her ears a few times as that voice called out; a deep voice that had a soft undertone. She'd furrow her brow and leaned just a little bit her icy blue eyes sweeping the mining camp. A Gaioumon made itself known; at the very least that form was a mega of sorts. Was it possible that it could reach super mega? Or was that the limit of it's power. It'd be something they'd find out the hard way. At cion's decree that the mine was rightfully their's the Shutmon didn't hold her breath. Exhaling slowly she'd draw her arrow back while judging the distance between her and the colorful array of targets she had. It didn't take very long for that follow up from the 'leader' which only left the shutmon a single snort of derision. They wouldn't give up that easily; they were burrowed into this place like a tick. The shutmon's ears flicked and twisted as those resonators went off, she'd snarl in irritation as it was quite loud to her. She wished that they would of warned them about that but what was done was done. She was simply glad she was this far back from them. The shutmon swept her eyes across the group of individuals that would be considered their enemy. She'd exhale again and then let her bow do the talking for her. The ice arrow leaped forward, aimed directly at a enemy group nearest the left flank. She wouldn't stop to admire her handiwork, she'd simply pick up one of her other arrows. Just three more shots, likely enough to keep 'cover' before moving in on her own. If things went smoothly enough...
-K fired an arrow at the nearest group to the left flank. Move used: [RAM UPGRADE] Invoke the Mausoleum: Using the giant sword on her back as a catalyst this digimon can summon a bow made primarily of ice. The plans were starting to be made before Cion even managed to speak too the enemy leader. Darian took this chance to figure out how tactical these new teammates of his could be. A good chance to deduce if they could handle themselves and think critically in times of need. The one with the hotheaded Digimon, Leith he believed, spoke out saying that he was going to be going left and that he would require assistance on his flank. K offered herself as Leith's flank on the left side so it looked like he wouldn't be needed there. Good, with their combined strengths this should be a solid plan. "Alright, you guys handle the left side. Royland, since you lean more towards dueling I will cover you on the right side. If you engage someone one on one, I will make sure nobody slips past you to outnumber you."Looking to his partner, Darian relayed some rarely needed orders to Gabe. "Gabe, start at Mega. Close range form, we'll head into the other forms if we end up at a distance. I'll be ready for Biomerge if things look grim.""Heh, sounds good. Form two it is."Darian and Gabe both split off to the right right as Cion's attempt to negotiate seemed to fail. Looks like this was going to end up being a fight after all. Kind of expected. Gabe jogged ahead of Darian, the human keeping his distance for now. As Gabe moved ahead his holosuited form began to ripple, breaking as energy collected in his form. With a single beep from Darian's D-Arc and a powerful roar, Gabe leaped into the air, exploding into fiery light as his form grew larger, armor spreading across his body as he Digivolved. Not being quite done with his normal Mega leveled form, bright red wings erupted from his back. He held his gauntlet covered hand out as a large halberd formed in his grip. Ready for battle, Gabe continued to hover in the street, daring anybody to come for him. "Gabumon, warp Digivolve to.....Alphamon Ouryuken Mode"Pointing the lengthy halberd forward, Gabe spoke, his voice no longer holding it's usual joking intonation. "Anybody who wishes to comply, and leave this place to us, may pass by safely. Anybody who continues to listen to your completely unreasonable and irresponsible boss...well...come."

Royland was startled by K's statement, he did not mean to be rude but something about K grabbed his attention, he couldn't tell what. But no matter what that was, it did not really matter now does it ? It's time to focus on the thing that required his utmost attention, and that was the goal everyone got together for. retrieving the mine to their original owners, the team of ASCENSION. "Yeah you are pardon me K, I will love to ask you some questions later. But after we take care of the mine." Roy said before continuing with the evolution, Kazuya was wondering about the reason why Roy stared at K but he did not really care as much as you think he will.
Once there Kazuya and Roy saw the Samudramon speak to Cion, the duo started to examine their surroundings. The duo felt a strenuous aura from the strange digimon, Kazuya was getting a bit nervous but he was not going to show it. Meanwhile Roy's hand started to get firm as he felt that danger will befall them, but this time they are surrounded by allies so if the opposing digimon desire combat will then so be it.
Once K,Veemon and Shoutmon started to take offence Royland spun his spear before taking a combat stance. "Thank you very much for having my back Gabe. I will not disappoint, that's a promise." Royland said as he looked back to his partner, the sense of unity and camaraderie was something Royland missed from his previous life to think he can relive it in this time was something that brought him joy.
Royland then turned back to the other group as he gave them a menacing stare, he had this aura of determination and conviction surrounding him. "Listen! What my friend said is your last warning, if you want peace we will give it to yo, and if you want to face our wrath then come at us. I will temper my weapon with your bodies!" Royland said with an aggressive manner, he was ready to battle.

Without a hint of doubt, Cion was more than delighted to witness her allies and friends' fervent intent to cooperate adequately and earn a glorious first victory to ASCENSION. Naturally, she did not expect anything less from those she had selected as members of her organization nor the leader of the Knights Of The Rose. All of them were in their respective ways exceptional, making them a well-balanced and powerful team. At the end of the day, might and competence were crucial factors they needed to have in spades for the predicament that unfolded itself in front of their eyes. They had to prove the viability of their shared dream... (Middle - Cion)Noticing her companions' wish to seize the initiative, the restrained Arniomon engulfed herself in a brilliant white sheen and rapidly dashed like an earthbound thunderbolt towards the mine. Easily leaping over the fence, she landed violently yet gracefully and came to an immediate stop near the center of the camp. With a snap of her fingers, the vulpine sentinel conjured a large zone of gleaming purity beneath her. Serving as a temporary refugium for her comrades, streams of iridescent data whizzed around the area as if they were fireflies. The silver fennec, remaining within her territory, absorbed parts of the radiance to gain an ethereal veil that protected her. Those who joined her if necessary were granted the same shelter. With that out of the way, she purposefully claimed the attention of several lesser minions, leaving the ambushed flanks a manageable to overcome. (Left - Leith & K)By far the fastest and most aggressive subdivision of this undertaking to reclaim what was rightfully theirs, the two Champions and supporting Perfect were blitzing the western part of the encampment. Relentlessly, they were attempting to damage adversaries with taunting armors of fire, auditory overstimulation and fast arrows of fizzling ice. Though definitely upsetting their mettle, the pawns empowered with digizoid craftsmanship did unfortunately not yield that quickly. Ultimately, they considered the quarry too valuable to abandon it. A BlackKnightmon, obviously a lieutenant of the Gaioumon. Proudly drawing his claymore and shield, he slashed the space in front of him with great force, Unleashing a spinning sword of compressed air, it tore through the Shutmon's projectile and sought to rend the purple wolf. Meanwhile his underlings attempted to keep as much distance from the Monophone orbs as possible. Still its piercing sounds managed to impair the silvery Tankmon and Devidramon who focused their attention on the source of the painful noises. With dark energies and ballistic weaponry alike, standing by their chief's side, they desired to tear Sonoramon from the sky. (Right - Kazuya & Darian)Unlike the previous quartet, the Mega Gabe and Champion Roy were far more clement in their approach despite the power they did not mind to display and utilize to achieve their common goal. Naturally, plenty of weaker subjects were terrified at the sight of an entity as mighty as an Alphamon Ouryuken. And though the ClearLöwemon was significantly less angst-inducing than the holy knights, his threats still echoed throughout the raiders' shallow minds. However, those who were carrying themselves with pride and hubris seldom yielded. Two Perfects, a Karatenmon and a Matadormon, defied the wills of the paladin who intended to bring justice and order to a realm that was often unlawful and savage. Covering each other, they did not attack for the moment, instead preferring to utilize their cunning to outsmart both the strong paragon and, what they perceived as, his varlet. With digizoid gear and wits at their disposal, they simply had to achieve a win, not?
- Cion utilizes 'Garden of Eden' to conjure a safe zone - Garden of Eden's duration (1/5) (Inside = high bonus armor and increased negative effect resistance)- Enemy Passive - Digizoid Empowerment: -> Noticably higher defensive and offensive capabilities than others of equal level(Left - Leith & K) - (Perfect+) BlackKnightmon utilizes 'The Duel' against K - (Champion+) Tankmon utilizes 'Machine Gun Arm' against Sonoramon - (Champion+) Devidramon utilizes 'Demonic Gale' against Sonoramon (Right - Kazuya & Darian)- (Perfect+) Karatenmon utilizes no ability on purpose - (Perfect+) Matadormon utilizes no ability on purpose

Just because the Tamer was hiding didn't mean he was doing nothing. He still tried to keep his eyes on the battle so that he could help in the only two ways he knew how. One was trying to analyze and command. Knowing that K owned a digi-FM radio, Leith spoke into his digivice, which served had that among its many functions. "Get the big one, K! We'll keep the champs away!" The other way he knew was a newer thing he'd learned. As soon as Leith held out one hand, his shiny D-Arc seemed to realize it was needed and appeared. With the right hand, Leith reached into the air for three cards that weren't there until he tried to close his fingers around them. I'm never gonna get used to that. Of the three cards available, the choice for which to use was obvious. "Digi-modify: Evasion Protocol!"
Evading two simultaneous attacks seemed at first impossible, but after swiping the card Sonoramon shockingly found the space in the air just between the attacks that he barely squeezed through to avoid them. All the while the resonators continued to ring, ideally still hampering the enemies at hand. Too bad for them, they would get no reprieve from the bombardment of high-amplitude sound waves. "Sonic Bomb!" That was Tankdramon's only warning before Sonoramon summoned another resonator in his hand, then thew it straight at the ground just in front of the armored champion digimon. It, too, rang at a ghastly high pitch, but its ring while louder also lasted for less time.
"Blazing Barrage!" Well used to the noise Sonoramon could make, Flamedramon managed to charge straight in for close combat with no reservation despite the ruckus the flying dragon caused. Devidramon would become the target of Flamedramon's expert close-combat prowess. The armored drake's speed and agility were truly frightening alone, but augmented by sharp claw jabs, horn gores, and dizzying kicks from blazing-hot contact points were the true threat.
This better lead to that better world of ours, Leith thought while he tried his best to keep his head down, Because we've left the realm of self-defense. We're the aggressors this time... and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
Leith used Evasion Protocol on Sonoramon. -Card Name: Evasion Protocol Type: Modify Rank: Starter Duration: 3 Posts The target Digimon gains a boost to speed at the cost of its attack power.
Sonoramon evaded all attacks.
Sonoramon attacked Tankmon with Sonic Bomb. -Sonic Bomb: This summons an orb out of thin air and throws it near the opponent. When the orb hits something, it resonates with a ghastly high-pitched sound that deals sonic damage to only a single target given the small amplitude of only one orb's soundwaves.
Flamedramon attacked Devidramon with Blazing Barrage. -Blazing Barrage: This digimon heats up his gauntlets and helmet to extremely high temperatures before unleashing a rapid flurry of hand-to-hand strikes. Half this attack's damage is fire damage due to the heat while the other half is physical damage from the impacts and slashes. This attack's total damage is about 150% this digimon's normal damage. Cooldown: 1 post.
Evsion Protocol is in effect: 3 posts remaining.
Monophone is ringing: 4 posts remaining. Monophone must cool down: 2 posts remaining. Flame Shield surrounds Flamedramon: 2 posts remaining. Flame Shield must cool down: 2 posts remaining. Blazing Barrage must cool down: 1 post remaining.

K blinked a little bit as she watched that arrow soar through the air only to be torn apart by a compressed sword of air by the BlackKnightmon. As long as he remained about her arrows likely would mean very little. With a small grunt of irritation the shutmon kicked off of the ground with a tremendous force, sending her into the air well above the projectile the black knight had sent towards her. Of course then followed suit the communication from Leith, telling her to deal with the big one while they kept the champions away from her. It was something easier said than done, that digizoid made it a little problematic didn't it? She'd click her tongue on the roof of her mouth and kick forward towards the battle proper. "Understood."So his projectiles were stronger, hit harder no doubt. Which meant that she'd have to step it up a little bit to keep pace too. Growling in frustration the shutmon's body was taken over by the gentle light of digivolution extending it's limbs and warping it's flesh into an armored variety of sorts. She'd land a few meters away from the black knightmon that light breaking apart to reveal a black furred raguelmon. She'd appraise the opponent in front of her for a moment before flexing her hands outwards. Pale blue lightning dancing across her claws after a moment or two. He no doubt kept to melee range, and the shutmon simply wouldn't of worked. Not with that digizoid equipment. She'd extend one hand out to the BlackKnightmon curling all but one digit that would move twice towards herself. A wordless challenge of sorts if anything.
Battle log~K avoided the BlackKnightmon's attack using Bound enhanced by Crimson Mantle! ~K digivolved from shutmon to Raguelmon~K activated Sabetour-De-force Passives as Shutmon[Prior to digivolution]: Oathbreaker: Vaccine types take increased damage from this digimon. Bound: Using it's powerful legs, this digimon may treat even air as solid ground. Allowing it to basically "fly". [RAM UPGRADE GIGA]: Crimson Mantle: Jesmon's signature cape; adjusted for size for each Digivolution. This cape has a few soft abilities each that scales with the level given. It may provide flight [if the wearer already can fly their movement is increased by one step] and it can block a single attack relevant to the power of the level of the host digimon before implementing a cool down of two posts for the block itself. This mantle may be passed to others but it's effectiveness for others is generally halved. Passives as Raguelmon[Post digivolution]: Crimson mantleCharge: For each empowered basic attack or Lightning based move, this digimon builds up a stack of charge. Upon three charges this digimon may release an explosive bolt of lightning dealing high damage to a single target. While there is no cool down on this move it requires others to operate. A target must be within a hundred feet. This digimon doesn't lose charge but must hit a digimon to gain charge. Voltic Core: This digimon can absorb electricity that it hasn't produced to heal itself. Whether from environment or from moves; moves that would damage it heal it by half instead while the environment if given a constant surge heals it by a medium amount per turn until fully healed. Move: Sabetour-De-force: This digimon charges it's claws with lightning; empowering it's basic attacks for three posts. If striking soaked individual the damage is doubled, if striking a large body of water the first individual that the lightning would come into contact with is also doubled. Three post cool down. Duration: Sabetour-De-Force: [0/3] Cooldown: PendingCharges: [0/3]

Post by Kazuya and Royland on Nov 25, 2018 13:57:27 GMT
Kazuya Oda was mildly annoyed at the unreasonable people the team had to face, why do people let hubris be there downfall? Kazuya Oda took steps back and let Gabe and Royland take charge in this situation. The young man was partly angry at his lack of input in fights. The limitation of his fragile human body was dissapointing, to think all he can do now is sit back and pray that his digimon friends can beat their opponents and secure the mine. "Alright Royland you know what to do, its time for you to show people the result of your training." Kazuya said with a sly smirk, if there is one thing he is sure of is his involvement in pre-battle preprations.
Royland smiled once he saw some digimon fear Gabe and to a lesser degree him, for as much as he loves combat Royland wanted to spare those who are to weak and cowardly to join the fight. Sadly two of them were ready to face them, a matadormon and Karatenmon. Royland crossed blades with those species in his previous life, he knows their strength and their possible weaknesses. So he was more than ready to battle, once his opponents have been decided Roy began to glow with holy energy. "Come at me any time now." He said with a cocky expression as he gestured with his free left hand mocking his enemies hoping to get on their nerves.
(Roy activates a passive.)
The Slayer of Damned : ClearLöwemon Data contains a special program that only activates when fighting Viruses and/or digimon that belong to the Nightmare soldiers family. This program increases his attack by 15 percent.

To be honest, Darian wasn't incredibly surprised that there were a few Digimon that didn't listen to the warning that Gabe had presented. There always had to be the defiant ones. And unfortunately, whether their defiance meant they were idiots or honourable...it still meant that they would need to be deleted. In the meantime, Darian stepped in behind Kazuya. "You know, we should probably take better cover before things start exploding." He explained as he dipped into a small alley, keeping a close eye on the fight to ensue. Gabe glanced down at Royland, ensuring that his ally was ready for a fight as the two Ultimate level Digimon stepped forward to take the two of them on. Two Ultimates versus a Mega and another Ultimate should be a pretty quick fight. Nodding towards his ally, Gabe raised his halberd threateningly, his wings flaring to fully display his power. "You heard my friend. You've made your bed, now lay in it." Gabe addressed his two enemies. As he spoke his armor flared a burning bright red before returning to its usual metallic colour. This was Gabe activating his buffing move the Guardian's Aegis, increasing both his strength and defense for a short duration.
[Activated] Guardian's Aegis: Alphamon Ouryuken's armour glows a fiery red before fading back to normal. This attack grants Alphamon Ouryuken increased strength and resiliency. This will enable him to continue fighting through the most brutal levels of damage and allow him to keep hitting hard while doing so. This boost will fade after 3 posts and cannot be used again for another 2 afterward Activated: 0 Turns Ago Duration: 3 Turns Cooldown: 2 Turns from end
