Take a seat, he would: the last thing he needed was for that cut to deepen over the rest of the day. Feeling that small shot at the base of his ear, the cat briefly tensed his teeth, feeling that burn slowly slip away to the mere, brief feeling of a needle tugging through his ear.
Sitting like that, the cat would listen, giving a slight sigh as Cassandra gave her response. "I wish it wasn't either - I really do, Cassandra." As the stitching would wrap up, he'd even give a slight push-back against Cassandra's hand, as if to itch at the top of his head. "Between the desert and the mess in the Dark Area, though, its going to be harder and harder to keep her out of trouble. Its... not like I can protect her twenty-four-seven."
He gave another sigh. Was he trying to justify it in his own head? Heck, what was the correct answer, here?
"... I just hope I did the right thing."

The Doctor would comply digging her fingers in lightly to scratch the cat behind the airs as she stared out through the trees and across the small lake to the expanse of green beyond. Her face solemn, a stubborn set to her jaw and a hardness to her gaze, but worry lurked in the woman's eyes.
"Hard times beget hard decisions." The Doctor murmured gaze distant the words clearly not her own, but another's repeated so often as to become rote for the woman.
"But the wolves are not at our door yet." Cassandra added with a shake of her head her eyes softening. "I miss horses horses though." The woman whispered.
"This would have been a lovely place to ride. I used to do that when I was younger. When it felt like the weight of the world was too much for me. I'd ride till I couldn't see civilization and just stare out at the expanse of green and the mist rolling in off of the mountains." She spoke voice mournful and full of quiet want as she shook her head. Behemoth rumbling close to nudge the front of it's chassis under her hand as Cas stroked her fingers lightly over the bike's nose. Petting the metallic beast as one would a beloved pet.
"I suppose I have little want for a horse with you around aye boy? Don't mind me. I'm just being nostalgic." The Doctor assured the demonic machine softly.

'Hard times, hard decisions'.
That pretty much summed up the past few months, Mikemon simply giving a sigh as he leaned back against Cassandra's hand. Honestly, it was rare that the doctor even had a chance for a small quiet reprieve like this, and after today, he was going to take what he could get. And so, he would sit back and listen as Cassandra spun a tale, a story of when things were simpler, of simply getting out of the city and seeing the mountains and the wilderness.
"Well, if our world has one thing over yours, we still have these types of woods and wilds covering most of the place. But, um... Cassandra?" He gave a chuckle, even as Behemoth came closer:
"I have no idea what a horse is."
That statement was said, deadpan and without sarcasm, the cat shaking his head as he gave another small laugh. Heck, how did the bike know?

"Wait...you're telling me you know what cats are, but you don't know about horses?" Cas asked glancing down at Mikemon somewhat flabbergasted. The thought of someone just not knowing about horses was such a foreign concept for the woman as she shook her head wracking her mind for a way to explain.
"Ok think uh...think a Pegasusmon without wings or a horn and they don't talk. They are good companions though. Humans before they had cars and bikes used to ride them everywhere. There were entire professions based around horsemanship back in the day and even now there are some places in the human world only accessible by horseback." The Doctor explained unsure if she was doing a great job of it.
"One day I'll take you riding. If only to see your reaction to the Smokey Mountains. The Digital world does have mountains and woods, but it's not...well it's not quite the same." She added giving Mikemon a gentle smile. A low chuckle bubbling from her throat at the image of the cat digimon on horseback.

"Well, of course I know cats. I am a cat. Is it really that strange?"
Again, Mikemon's expression was deadpan, not entirely seeing the humor or the reason for Cassandra's bewilderment. He just truly did not know what a horse was - though as Dr. Cross explained, Mikemon tried to make his attempt to picture it. "A Pegasusmon without wings or a horn... I think I can kind of picture it, anyway." Though, considering the armor, perhaps Mikemon's mental image of a horse would have been a bit more medieval than Cassandra intended.
Still... it was nice to see her take a nostalgic tone. Taking a moment to give Syre a soft pat on her head, he gave a nod. "..."
"I think I'd like that."
