Argent did not answer. Not at first anyway their blue eyes riveted upon the seed in Floramon's palm as she wracked her mind trying to weigh how much she could truly discuss such things with the Digimon. In the end she settled on what any snoop with the time and access could have found out about Argent. That she had been looking into the D-reapers creation...and subsequent binding.
"Yes, no, both, neither..." The Sorcermon murmured gaze locking with the Floramon's own conflict clear across the Digimon's face. "The D-reaper...I've...I've had a theory..." She spoke faltering for a moment.
"Just as you've told no one about these plants I...it would be better for me if you please don't spread this around. Certain organizations have been working hard to suppress all information on the D-reaper and while what you've found here appears to confirm my theory I...I don't want to be disappeared. I'm just a field agent the wrong people won't think twice about getting rid of me." Argent explained a hint of true fear in her words.
"I believe the D-reaper was meant to be a god. A foil to Yggdrasil or would have become such, but someone...someone was very afraid of it's abilities and bound it with the effigies to prevent it from evolving, gaining sentience, growing. I don't know exactly how old our world is, but I suspect if left to it's own devices the D-reaper would be...well would be like any of the gods now having evolved into such over countless thousands of years." Argent explained laying her theory bare even as she motioned to the plants around them.
"This I believe is it learning, adapting. The D-reaper is alive, but...unless something drastic happened to jump it's evolution a few millennia it's nothing more then a bundle of instincts, clever, but...inarticulate. Unrefined. At least that is my theory." The Sorcermon spoke rubbing a gloved hand roughly over her face. A jump like accidentally spawing a new species of reaper. Spawning her. In mild panic Cassandra questioned if she was the Reapers attempt consciously or not to skirt the logical tar trap of it's restrictions preventing it from gaining full sentience by instead creating a Reaper disconnected from itself that could.

Argent had her own theory - one more thought through than either of her own answers.
Of course, the Floramon listened - to her fear about being found out by the world, to her theory of the D-Reaper's existence. Was the D-Reaper meant to be a foil to Yggdrasil? In some ways, it made sense, though the Floramon was somewhat aware that it was a problematic theory to prove, answers either lost in the most ancient of bedrock or lost entirely to the divine. But in the Digital World, stranger things have been proven true in the past.
"... I can tell its something you've put a lot of thought into. My own theory was that this was the result of an incomplete assimilation, evolving over some number of generations to produce a new type of species. To answer your questions from before, they're no more dangerous to touch than the lichen, simply causing a chemical burn. As for side effects, well, I'm too humane to test for that sort of thing."
She gave a sigh. Moving towards the back of the room, the Floramon flicked a lever, water starting to run through pipes at the walls, distributing out through a small tap in each box. "But believe me, I understand. You're an assistant, I'm a botanist who makes medicine. We've both tripped over something we don't understand..."
She chuckled, giving a smile, folding her hands together. "And we're both lying about why we started looking in the first place."
Her tone was completely innocent - as if ecstatic to find someone else who shared this interest. Shutting off the tap, she'd give a nod to the Sorcermon. "For now, I've probably held you up long enough. Shall we make our way back to Whitewater?"

Argent considered the Floramon with a long silent stare weighing the Digimon's worth as well as finding herself impressed with the Flora types cleverness. Whether she knew who Argent really was or only had suspicions Luminas couldn't charge her outright for just an unconfirmed 'hunch.'
"I see why Metal likes you." The Sorcermon murmured voice soft and low. "I believe in this we can both agree that discretion is the better part of valor. If I stumble upon further information I would be more then willing to share it with you in the spirit of purely academic discussion if you might consider doing the same." She offered broaching the conversation of a mutual beneficial information exchange cautiously even as she followed the Floramon up and out of the makeshift lab. For while Cas could likely acquire the plant samples in her free time she was no botanist. Her plans for the future helping to keep her mind from spiraling into a panic at the mention of a new 'species' and wondering if the Reaper even realized it had already unwittingly succeeded.
Argent stepped out the hut whole, but a little ruffled as she worked to replace her apprehension with her usual excitable calm. Wasting little time in shifting to rest a hand on Demon's arm. Taking a muted sort of comfort and comradely in the Devidramon's presence.

"My door is open for you, Argent. Though, if you see a blue ornament hanging inside my window, it means that you should stay far away." Otherwise, the Floramon returned her offer with a cheery smile, before leading their way back out of the lab...
... To which the pair would find the Xros'd Devidramon, who hadn't moved an inch from his post since the two disappeared inside. Seeing the Sorcermon emerge, 'Metal' gave a low growl as he stood. "Took long. Wrong plant?"
"Oh, nothing of the sort, Metal." Bell gave a chuckle. "Just lost track of time talking with my new friend here. Anyway, you've earned your cut for today." Taking a moment to lock up the hut, the Floramon would then raise her arms up, stifling a yawn. "Just get us back to Whitewater, I'll cut you your payment, and you two can head on your way."
The Devidramon returned a nod, and knelt down, Bell wasting no time before comfortably perching on Demon's shoulder. Demon himself offered an arm for Argent, and should she accept, it wouldn't be long before Demon would take to the skies!

"Understood. If you've need of me and are in a rush I would advise looking around the lower reaches on Old Terminus and inquiring about House Calls." Argent suggested accepting Demons arm and only pausing to scoop up a small shimmering figure the Monitamon seeming to materialize out of thin air before she pressed the button of her digivice in her coat, the little rookie disappearing in a soft flash of light.
And then they were flying. The take off knocking the wind briefly out of Argent's lungs both from the movement and from the beauty of suddenly finding herself soaring through the sky. Though her grip was no less tight around the Devidramon's arm as she did her best not to dig her nails into him as the jungle passed beneath them in a carpet of green. Still despite herself the Doctor slowly relaxed content that she could sooth whatever ire Denryu might have at their delay or at least ensure Demon was off the hook. Especially given the all, but priceless information had had practically dropped into her lap along with a much needed ally in these times. A few hours delay in the Doctors mind were heartily worth it.

Whether here or in the human world, one fact remained true:
People rarely looked up. If Devidramon simply took a path through the forest, there was a realistic chance that they would run into something, whether it be a monster or some dumb, itchy, poisonous plant. Like this, though, there would be nothing to disturb them: all he had to do was carefully hold onto this Sorcermon, as the Floramon held a vine tight around his right bicep.
"Heh. How's such a thick swamp look so clear from up here?" The Floramon gave a small chuckle - the Devidramon simply returning a small growl. Was it annoyance, tiredness, interest? Hard to tell - but like this, it didn't take long.
As previously agreed with the Floramon, Demon landed about a half mile from Whitewater, within spitting distance of the North Trailmon Station. "Ah..." Carefully stepping off of the Devidramon's shoulder, Bell gave a smile: "Well, thank you for - hm?"
The Devidramon simply held out a claw - palm up - towards the Floramon. Volt, acting as his visor, gave a sigh. "You could have a bit more tact than that..."
"Well, he's straightforward, I'll give him that..." Right, no arguing with a demonic debt collector. The Floramon opened up her bag, placing a few thousand bits in Demon's outstretched hand. "If you need any more work, just get in touch, alright?"
With that, the Floramon would be off - and Demon, giving a glance down at the bills, held them out towards Argent.
"I've no need. If we're going back to 'D'."
"Also, no pockets."

Pressing a palm in mock heartbreak over her chest Cassandra/Argent let out a put-upon sigh. "I swear sometimes Demon I think you might only love me for my copious amount of pockets." The Doctor murmured, but collected the bits from him anyway lest they get lost. "I'll put these asides for you. I've been looking into setting up a few dummy accounts in case...in case something like this ever happens again." She explained tapping at her D-terminal as the portal app let out a low whine signalling it charging up.
"Still it'll be good to have you both home. I think the fox is close to driving D absolutely nuts." Cas added avoiding names as the device finally completed it's charge. Thus opening a small glowing portal big enough for just their little group to enter as taking Demon by the arm the Doctor carefully tugged him through.
