As Tylomon was so focused on fighting Sanzomon and her stupid control spire effects, he did not notice Gokuwmon's attack in time. By the time he did notice, Tylomon had already been struck by lightning, causing greater damage since lightning and water did not mix all that well. "AUGH! Dammit!" the big fish yelled.
But that was nothing compared to Tylomon's attack. Sanzomon had just enough energy to barely dodge it, so it only scraped her leg a little bit. The full force of the attack took out two stories of a nearby office building. The resulting explosion was big enough for Adrian to see from where he was, and he just stared in disbelief.
Oh my god... Tylomon could've destroyed the entire building! That's the last time I ever listen to him.
While Adrian was pondering what to do next, he noticed something peculiar around the scene of the battle. Three unidentified objects were flying around the area, and he couldn't make out what exactly they were. Were they vehicles? Digimon? Were they helping? Just what was going on? All this uncertainty and Tylomon's recent act solidified Adrian's next decision.
"Tylomon, can you hear me? Pull out of the fight and come back to the Helomon."
As expected, Tylomon did not take this request lightly. "What!? You're benching me?! What for?"
"You destroyed two stories of an office building with that card that I told you was a bad idea! Plus there are three figures flying around the area. I don't think it's safe to be there, so come back now."
"But Adrian, we did it! Sanzomon's not near the spire anymore! She won't trigger the effects!"
"Wait, what?!" Adrian turned around towards the others. "Tylomon says that Sanzomon isn't near the control spire anymore. She might not trigger the counterattack effect right now!"
Although Adrian still wanted Tylomon to pull away from the fight, the armor ultimate did not listen to his partner and decided to initiate his next attack anyways. Since he didn't have a way to immobilize her, Tylomon would just have to do it the old fashioned way. In the blink of an eye, Tylomon faced Sanzomon and fired an immediate "Ice Blast" at her, being sure to avoid any office buildings this time. Tylomon is struck by Gokuwmon's "Thunderfall" attack. Tylomon uses Ice Blast on Sanzomon. (Card uses remaining: 6)

"That's not the police..." the young General mumbled aloud. Apparently, he was the only person, judging by hearing them speak out loud, who knew for sure what he was dealing with. However, he was not the only person who was able to figure it out; Alice was dead-on. Still... "That's not possible! They were shut down!" But it had to be possible because there they were, un-shut down. Sophie and Lantis had to know about this. "We'll keep that in mind, sir, but... oh, you're not gonna believe this." To Helomon he commanded, "Follow those vans, but keep us high enough to see the battle!"
"Yes, sir!" They did.
"Sophie, Lantis, it's DATS! What the hell is going on? You said they were shut down!" Tadayoshi never cursed. This was maybe the third time in his whole life. Oh, well, Tadayoshi was just gonna have to do what he did best: deal with it. Problem was, he already had one active problem on his plate. This one, he was just gonna have to delegate. "You-" Tadayoshi gestured at Alice. "-and Kazuya, I can't leave this battle. Listen: below us are DATS, which is indeed the government's answer to digimon. But they're not like us. They told me when these people operated, partners were separated, digimon were forced into exile or worse- this is not good, not OK. I'm putting you two in charge of dealing with them. Helomon! Make an announcement for me!"
On Tadayoshi's command, Helomon would try and communicate with the approaching vehicles below over their loudspeaker. "My name is Helomon, and I'm carrying six humans including Tadayoshi Teppei of AEGIS, the group who's been monitoring digimon in your stead. Their digimon are already on the scene. Hachiko Square is close; divert there, and we can land to coordinate our response to Gokuwmon and Sanzomon, the ape and the woman in gold. The rest are on our side!"
"Alice, Kazuya, listen: these people might not necessarily be on our side. That's why I'm sending the two of you... not to mention the two oldest here. Above everything remember this: cooperate as possible, because this is the government, but also - act as necessary." Ideally, DATS would show some good faith and do as told, at which point the General could safely drop both of his designated 'ambassadors' and get right back to work. If not... well, DATS could simply not be allowed to reach the battlefield; he was told to control the situation, and he questioned what kind of wrench DATS would throw into this machine. For that reason he told Helomon, "If they don't divert, wait until they're five blocks out... then land and block the road. You're long enough to do it. We'll give 'em that much time to talk back or change their minds, but they will not get in the way. Either way, you two are bailing out. Assaultmon, how much of that did you hear?"
"Enough." Busy as the armed centaur was, he was at least trying his best to stay aware of the humans, too. No way he could catch every word, but he thought he had enough of the basic information, a skill he was well-versed in by now. It helped that he didn't have to worry about dodging a troublesome attack, though. Gokuwmon took his one-in-three shot, a shot worth taking, but he didn't score. He failed to identify the real one, so he was still just making an improbable guess. His target did shout in pain, but instead of burning he simply disappeared. Two left.
Even better? The blitz was working. Sanzomon was being pushed away. Was she far enough? The Assaultmon twins knew how to find out. They positioned on either side of Sanzomon and attempted to aim up high enough to hit only air if they missed. Even better, of course, would be not missing. "Run And Gun!" The pair startled to circle around Sanzomon to make their combined movements even more confusing. Of course, one of these was firing basic bullets while the other was truly capable of a digimon's true power. While shooting up, both shouted, "Team, we're about to have human company, and they may not be friendly!"
Thunderfall missed Assaultmon. -One of Assaultmon's clones was destroyed. The first Assaultmon (real) attacked Sanzomon with Run And Gun from closely beneath her. --Run And Gun: This digimon shoots metal bullets out of his two main arm guns at a fast rate of fire to deal damage.
The second Assaultmon attacked Sanzomon with a basic shooting attack disguised as Run And Gun from close beneath her. Assaultmon has one solid clone: 1 opponent's post remaining.
Suppressive Fire must cool down: 1 post remaining. Scatter Clone must cool down: 1 post remaining.

It was that moment of impact, the moment Roy’s spear hand stabbed Gokuwmon it was thrilling and exhilarating for the lion knight it was these moments that made remember he was alive. But soon this high will fade out as he got back to reality, the lion saw that the Gokuwmon was preparing a move and he sadly knew that there is no way to dodge it and the only way to handle it is to power through it and fight on, while this meant risking his own body the lion knight did not have any more options available. Raising his fist to the sky and clenching it tighter as he cocked it back the lion prepared to launch a massive strong punch and at the same time he wanted to strike the Gokuwmon a lightning bolt would fall down and strike his body, while this did indeed cause a lot of damage the lion did not flinch nor grunt in pain, all to focused on hitting his target as hard as possible and seeing that he managed to get in close to him even in mid air, this punch will hurt a lot if it landed as it flew at high speed aimed at Gokuwmon’s chest with the intentions of slamming him back to the ground as hard as possible.
Back at Kazuya who was observing the battle, the mess caused by the combating Digimon will make it hard for him and the others to explain what happened to the government officials that were approaching, upon hearing what DATS is the man only scratched his chin, not surprised at the least that the government will know about Digimon, heck if he could stumble upon while being drunk then there is no reason for the government to not know about them. “I see that is bad indeed, so we need to convince them to side with us, got it I will be happy to help there. With Alice expertise and my skills I could see us doing this, lets just hope they are the reasonable type. “
“hey Kazuya what about me ? what will I do when you are gone ?” Julian the Patamon asked as he felt pretty useless during this whole event, unable to overcome this sense of hopelessness the Patamon hoped that the golden eyed man can find something for him to do.
“you go with us , I rather not go completely defenseless there, so you can be our body guard, just do not say anything leave the talking to me and Alice. “
“ ok will do captain” and just like that Julian was excited once again the little kid was happy he can be of use to everyone in any shape way or form.
Combat techniques : The most electrifying punch in digimon history : Ice Grapleomon does a pose (it changes everytime) before charging with a strong straight aimed at the stomach in order to stagger them, he believes that this moves is really entertaining to watch and will hype up the crowd.
Combat passives : A good performer knows how to no-sell : If Icegrapleomon starts to perform an attack it can no longer be interrupted, and he receives 30% less damage. (Gokuwmon attack did less damage and did not stop his punch)
Generate the hype : For every time Roy uses a different move his strength go up 10% (40%) max, this reverts back to 0% once he uses a move twice under three turns. (Roy gained 10% more attack at the start of the turn) (now Roy was at 20 percent more attack power)
All eyes on the star : what this passive does is essentially draw the attention of the enemy on him, but also heal him by 5% percent every turn. (He is healed by 5%)

Levi took but one second to admire his handiwork, smirking towards the mark left by his attack. He took only one second as he needed to once again focus on his surroundings in an instant. A blast from Tylomon created a crater that spanned two stories of a building, earning a flinch from both digimon and tamer, but not much else. They understood that this kind of thing was likely to happen a few times given the current situation.
Come to think of it, this is pretty crazy, huh, thought Alan in a kind of forced amusement. Again, there was no point worrying about potential negatives. If anything, the two felt as if they were earning their stripes. As disappointed as they had been by the sudden, effortless acquisition of their first digimental, even they couldn't deny that there was no better way to earn their license than making sure they could drive!
Alan wanted to object to Adrian's decision to withdraw his Armor Ultimate, but there was no time to argue, and hopefully, if their next endeavor was a success, it might change Adrian's mind.
"The spire's turning red again," projected Alan, figuring he might as well give his own reminder, regardless of whether everyone else needed it. Remembering this stuff was his assignment now, after all. "If you attack that thing now, you better be prepared to either take some damage or block some damage. Sanzomon, on the other hand, appears to be fair game at the moment. Only for the moment, though. If this thing runs on a cycle, be prepared for it to turn blue next. I theorize that being close to the spire when it turns blue brings you within the shield as well. You might be able to attack it then. No promises." The tamer then clenched his teeth lightly when he noticed the moving figures above the spire. Intuition told him they weren't with the government. If he had to guess, it meant that the spire was starting to move towards its goal, making him overly aware that Levi was the only one attacking the spire at the moment. "Be careful, but hurry, if you would," added Alan, under his breath, too quiet for the others to hear.
Levi lacked the means to attack during the "red turn," as he would call it instinctively, without taking damage, so he would keep to himself, as had been working out for him so far, and see if he couldn't charge up his next attack like he could as a Veemon. Gotta be as discreet as possible, he thought. It would seem as if Levi was capable of a lot more than he knew, because without even reaching higher levels than champion, his champion forms already seemed unnaturally suiting to him. The Flamedramon focused inwards, and felt the heat of his flames intensify, turning them blue like the ones you might see below a pot when cooking. For the moment, this didn't show outwardly. He would move left or right around the spire as he saw fit, knowing he couldn't keep attention away from himself forever, but figuring it was worth it to try. He waited patiently now for his chance to attack, feeling the last of the damage from the laser he had taken previously be healed away.
Finally, there was the matter of this "DATS." Tadayoshi would say that they weren't like AEGIS. Incidentally, Alan knew nothing of AEGIS, though he could infer a few things through context clues. To his dismay, the young general's short description of DATS would paint them in his mind as the type of people who would agree with their enemies here. Admittedly, he couldn't make a good argument against it at the moment. All he knew is that this spire needed to come down.
Blue Flare - Intensifies Flamedramon’s flames, turning them blue temporarily. The first fire attack within the next two posts is approximately 1.5 times as strong. 1-post cooldown.
Solarsault cooldown - 1 post remaining.

The intensity of everyone's attacks was surprising to Sanzomon. They were coming in from all directions. A bead of sweat ran down her face, she couldn't evade them all. First came the Lillymon, who lashed out at her with her whip. She dived down toward the ground, narrowly evading it, only to be struck hard by a second whip from the Mienumon. Damage was reduced, but it still stung. The tower... she had to get to it, but in order to do so, she would have to focus all her effort on maneuvering. A wave of cold suddenly rushed over her as the Tylomon attacked with a blast of ice. The cold wind made her tremble, but she quickly moved away from its line of fire to prevent it chilling her too far. Then the Assaultmon circled her. She had to fly directly upwards, but many of their bullets struck her once again. It was by now that she was beginning to get worried. These digimon... they were so determined to fight them. Their victory was beginning to get uncertain. However, if she could get to the effect of the tower in time, she may have a chance to recover. Gokuwmon meanwhile seemed to be engaged with the IceGrapleomon one-on-one. This was just fine by him, soon he hoped to wear this creature down. He was only just beginning to get warmed up. As Royland closed in for a melee attack, Gokuwmon aimed his staff directly at him. If he was coming in for a punch, he'd have no choice but to go through it. "Storm Cannon!" he snarled, and sent an explosive golden beam straight at him. The IceGrapleomon's strike hit him hard in the stomach, but if it managed to take down this persistent lion, then that would make it worth it. Meanwhile, the news on the digivice was something that made Sophie gasp. "...DATS?" she repeated as she heard Tadayoshi's news. "They were shut down though! I inspected their HQ and everything, it was abandoned..." she explained. How could they have been reactivated? Why wasn't she notified of this? The fact that she wasn't as AEGIS leader meant... no. A chill went down her spine. As Helomon attempted to make contact with the vehicles, someone aboard them responded through a loudspeaker of their own. "This is Commander Hashimoto of DATS. We received your message, but we will not comply. This is an official DATS operation. Do not interfere with our vehicles or our agents. The conduct of your digimon so far has been acceptable, so you may aid us as you see fit, but do not oppose us. Over".Sophie and Lantis heard that. This seemed like the real deal here. Soon DATS would be on the battlefield. No... they were already here! The objects in the sky got bigger and brighter. The shapes were descending! Soon Sophie could tell that they were in fact digimon. Three... no... four in total! Two were large draconic digimon, and two more were humanoids. They would all land in front of the Shibuya railway station, sending up gusts of wind from their wings and means of levitation. One was a large blue dragon, standing over nine feet tall as he landed at the edge of the battlefield. Sophie's eyes widened as she saw a rider dismount from his back. A human woman, dressed in a smart black military looking outfit with red trimmings. She had black hair and wore dark glasses, hiding her expression as she stood behind the dragon, seemingly observing the battle. The second was an even larger black dragon with two faces - the first draconic visage at the end of his long reptilian neck, and the second was a monstrous looking thing where his chest would be. He too had a rider, a tan-skinned young man with hair shaved short like Tadayoshi's, wearing no sunglasses but had an earpiece on his person, he too wearing a black outfit with red trimmings. The last two resembled human women somehow, dressed in near identical outfits of elegant dresses and wimples that covered their eyes. One difference were their colours. One was black and the other was white. The other difference was their weapons. The black-clothed one seemed to be holding twin cross-shaped guns, the other a golden trident. They had appeared to be carrying yet another human, a blonde woman with the same black-red outfit as the others, taking off her sunglasses, examining the battlefield. As the light around the control spire changed from red to blue, they would make their presence known. "Cease combat at once!" the blonde woman shouted to the combatants. "By the authority of DATS I order all of you to stand down!"Sanzomon and Gokuwmon stared. Four new digimon... all of them fresh and at the Ultimate level. They did not follow through with counter-attacks, but still raised their guard, awaiting the next move of these new arrivals. Sanzomon was within the confines of the control spire's shield effect, but Gokuwmon was not. Still though, they did not like the looks on the digimon's faces. They were hardened; determined... a threat. Red Mode Effect: "Vengeance"
- In Red mode, the Control Spire automatically locks on and counter-attacks any digimon that attacks it or Sanzomon (as long as she is near the tower) in the previous turn with a laser beam that cannot be evaded. Damage is scaled to the level of the target and has about 30% more power than a named ability with no cooldown.
- Since the Control Spire was not attacked, and Sanzomon was not within the effect of the light, the Control Spire makes no counter-attacks this turn.
- The red light fades and now a blue light glows around the Control Spire. Levi and Sanzomon are within its confines.
Damage Taken:
2.5 Armor Ultimate Attacks 2.5 Armor Champion Attacks Sanzomon evades Mizu's Thorn Whip, but is struck by Dorothy's Chameleon Whip, part of Tylomon's Ice Blast, and most of Assaultmon's Run and Gun.
Sanzomon has no chance to attack due to the sheer amount of enemy fire aimed at her this turn, but she makes it to the effect of the Control Spire as it turns blue.
Sanzomon keeps her guard up and waits to see how the others react to the arrival of the DATS agents. Gokuwmon sees the attack coming and fires a Storm Cannon directly at Royland as he approaches.
Gokuwmon is struck by Royland's attack.
Combat Passive Ability: Shroud of Warfare - if hit by an attack with more than 2 turns of cooldown, Gokuwmon's own cooldowns decrease by the same amount of turns as the attack that hit him. Not activated this turn.
Combat Passive: Somersault Cloud - While in combat, Gokuwmon has the ability to fly on a magic cloud, able to travel at high speed around the battlefield. Evasion is increased while he is flying.
Storm Cannon - Gokuwmon charges up energy in his staff, then launches it at a target. This ability has the ability to pierce through passive and active defenses. [Cooldown: 2 turns]
The DATS vehicles acknowledge Helomon, but continue forward to Scramble Crossing. They split apart in order to approach the battlefield from different directions approximately half a mile away. Four new digimon and 3 DATS agents have arrived on the battlefield, and has ordered a cessation of combat.

Images of all the worst-case scenarios flashed through Alan's mind as he watched the four digimon descend. To be specific, the most prominent of these were that these were some kind of digital deities summoned to talk down to the sinners about the destruction done to the Digital World before separating the worlds and wiping the human's memories or something. Luckily, those fears were almost immediately assuaged. Not that the truth could be considered a good-case scenario.
Someone calling themselves Commander Hashimoto informed everyone present that their digimon's conduct had been "acceptable-" interesting to Alan how they specified "digimon" and not the digimon's partners, too - but he left that detail alone for now. The Commander also said they would allow them to aid them, as long as they do not oppose them. Well, clearly, they were about to tell them what their mission was, right?
Meanwhile, Levi was preparing to launch an attack on the spire the moment it turned blue. However, he held back when an unexpected announcement was made for everyone to stop fighting. The Flamedramon scanned his surroundings. The first step to deciding whether to comply was seeing if their opponents were complying. Indeed, Gokuwmon and Sanzomon were staring at the newcomers, waiting to know of their intentions.
"Stand down, Levi," said Alan over the communication device, affirming that they both seemed to have come to the same conclusion. No doubt the announcement would cause each side to at least hesitate. Alan knew he had to act fast if he was going to say his piece. Levi wasn't going to be able to get any sort of message across to his compatriots. Alan once again turned to everyone else on the Helomon and explained his thoughts. He was all too aware he wasn't the one in charge here, but he also didn't work for this "AEGIS" organization. Hopefully his input would at least be heard.
"I don't know what you're all thinking right now, but I say we comply for the moment. The digimon guarding the spire are complying as well, and we have the cooperation of DATS for the moment. Or, to be more specific, they're suggesting they might have ours. I suggest the best option is to hear them out. If they're saying we might be able to help them, no doubt they're going to tell us what their important DATS business is, and once we know, then we can decide whether how much their authority means to us. Furthermore, our mission is to get rid of that spire, not take out its guardians. Our fight is a result of conflicting goals, not a personal grudge. We weren't attacked on sight before, therefore it's not impossible that this might be a second chance to gain some diplomatic ground with them. I admit chances look slim after, well, trading blows like this, but the least we can do is not play dirty if they haven't been playing dirty. Attacking them while they're following orders to stand down would be a low blow, and it would further paint us as unruly or disagreeable in their eyes, even 'unable to be reasoned with.' Once they're convinced they have some sort of complete moral high ground, things get a lot harder for us. Not to mention- look at this:"
The young man pointed to the group of powerful digimon on DATS's side.
"Do you really want to risk having all of them sikked on us without even trying to hear them out? Once we start fighting all of those, in addition to our previous adversaries, while dealing with the spire's effects, no matter which 'sides' everyone is on, I don't think we'd stand much of a chance anymore at that point."
Alan almost signaled that he was finished talking, before deciding to add in one more convincing factor.
"Plus, it's not as if we can't rescind our decision to be friendly towards them if their goal proves counter-productive, right? I'm not trying to say I'm right. I'm saying my piece. I'm standing down until we have more information. What you all decide to do is up to you."
The tamer and his partner waited patiently, albeit nervously, for the thoughts and decisions of the others, as well as further information from DATS or its agents.
Levi stays put and turns his attention to the newly-arrived DATS members, not calling any attacks this turn.
Levi has not called any flame attacks this turn, so the effects of Blue Flare remain in place for a maximum of one more turn.
Blue Flare - Intensifies Flamedramon’s flames, turning them blue temporarily. The first fire attack within the next two posts is approximately 1.5 times as strong. 1-post cooldown.
Solarsault's cooldown has concluded, and it is now ready for use.
Levi ends his turn within the control spire's light.

Dorothy looks up at the now-revealed figures, the two dragons, their tamers and the pair of holy sisters, with true horror as she readies an attack, not out of aggression, but terror. She's stopped before she can act, however, the orders of her Tamer blasting into her ears from the long-range communications and insisting that she stop . "Okay, okay! Jeez... You're right, but ya shouldn't yell at me like that." The Mienumon waves the chameleon puppet slightly so as make it go slack again, and she sighs, understandably tense from all this. "Jeez... She, uhh, told me to back off."Just in time, she thinks to herself. For now, she just turns to face Sanzomon, ready to fight at a moment's notice, but trying her hardest to hold herself back. "You guys were watchin' us the entire time, huh?" She isn't exactly back-talking to the DATS members, but she certainly isn't happy at their approach. "Gyahaha, could be worse. My Tamer could be down here, askin' questions and maybe filling ya in. She's probably thinkin' 'bout it right now..."Speaking of her, the green haired woman looks to the rest of the group on the helicopter with a grim expression. At least Dorothy got the order to stand down, she thinks to herself, her arms crossed tightly with a stoic, judgemental expression crawling across her face. "We have no choice but to comply. I'm not happy about it, but given the situation, more people to deal with this wretched spire is a good thing... Especially given what is supposedly at stake here. Even if we're working with people who cannot be fully trusted. I'd say that we should communicate with them further, but..." A twinge of anxiety leaks through her attempts to remain reasonable, being scared for Dorothy's life. "I feel they've been watching the fight for quite some time, and only intervened because things were risking getting out of hand. Or maybe we're not doing this fast enough, who knows."
"Besides, if they're working for the government, they might be able to arrest us for not complying. Or worse." As calm and collected as she seems to be at the moment, the green haired woman is anything but, running her hands through her hair repeatedly. "I say we side with them... For now, at least. Our goal is the same."She thinks of getting Dorothy's broom over so she can fly off and approach DATS herself, but for now, she's stuck here with everyone else. Perhaps that's for the best. "I'd like to head down, and I've got the means to do so, but I'm not sure if you guys would be okay with that. You think it's a smart idea?"
Provided she gets the approval, she'd depart, a flying broom similar to one a witch would use being used to safely drift down in an amusing fashion.
No actions have been taken. All abilities are now ready.

"Dang!", Mizu said as the Sanzomon avoided her whip, but she got a consolation prize as she was utterly pummeled by the attacks of the others. She had done good! She had done actual good! Maybe she -could- do this after all! She readied another attack when DATS arrived. She stopped in her tracks when they spoke up, and their four Digimon appeared on the battlefield. Maybe it was the vestiges of inebriation talking in her mind, but she did not like the tone of voice they were using. That authoritative arrogance, it brought back memories of a certain someone she really didn't like. A certain someone who was, unknown to her, on that helicopter Digimon in the sky. She gritted her teeth and wrapped her vine around her wrists. Four Digimon. They could easily wipe the floor with her. But every single cell in her brain wanted to attack them, to whip them silly for their arrogant tone. This self-important belief they can call the shots just because they were strong and had a van. "Hey, who the FUCK are you to just waltz in here?? And who the fuck are you to tell us what to do!?", Mizu was yelling at the van and the Digimon, not caring whether they could hear her or not. For now, she'd stand down, if only so she wouldn't be vaporized by four Ultimate Level Digimon focusing their attacks on her.
For once, Yukiko felt the same as Mizu. The remains of her anger still flowing through her, she took offense to the way these DATS people spoke. But, they were on their side, it seems. All that mattered to Yukiko was that these two intruder Digimon would pay for their crimes, for all the destruction they so self-importantly caused. So, while she clenched her fist, all she really did was turn to Tadayoshi. "What do you make of this, Sir?"

Post by Kazuya and Royland on Feb 24, 2019 22:30:15 GMT
Well the battle raged on between Roy and the worthy adversary known as Gokuwmon, the lion man was feeling the very fiber of his being be electrified from the battle. To the point where Roy started to doubt himself and his intentions, he did not know whether he was fighting for a noble cause or him simply fighting for the sake of satisfying his own primal lust of combat. Roy felt like focusing on those ‘little details at this moment will only distract him from his goal of stopping Gokuwmon and Sanzoomon at this moment. The lion man then was ready to receive whatever Gokuwmon was cooking, but sadly he was not able to dodge the attack on time and thus Roy took the full brunt of the staff attack, and man was the strength of Gokuwmon very impressive indeed. The lion was sent flying back away quite a bit, but he quickly stopped himself mid air by creating a tornado aimed at the opposite direction of the way he was flying towards it. Grunting and panting Roy barely manged to withstand himself but he can not stop now, one attack is not going to make him let his other friends down. Smiling to himself Roy wanted to keep the battle even he rushed towards Gokuwmon and preparing to try the drop kick once again, hopefully to buy sometime.
Back to Kazuya and Julian the man was surprised to see that this government agency is actually trying to solve this whole debacle by themselves, or at least they seemed like it. Seeing the 4 new digimon that arrive and look as strong as Roy made Kazuya feel like what both Alan and Alice said was probably the smarter decision. Having those DATS people be against them will not help anyone. So the best thing to do is indeed trying to befriend them. Turning to face the rest of the people in the helicopter he knew what he wanted to do, hopefully he can do it without damaging the operation. “ well I would like to go with Alice, I also have a lot of questions and I think I could get DATS to become our allies. I trust that you guys can help us from here and we will be in touch.” Kazuya said as he took out his device and decided to fiddle with tell he readied his hover craft, the man was ready to go and decent near DATS once he is given the go ahead by the rest of the team. His first time using that hovercraft will be an interesting one but Kazuya’s life has been full of weird experiences.
Combat log:
Whirlwind drop kick : Roy points to the skies before perfoming a drop kick with both legs, the move deals heavy physical damage. But it sends the opponent far away from him, a position he does not enjoy (1 post cooldown)
Combat passives :
A good performer knows how to no-sell : If Icegrapleomon starts to perform an attack it can no longer be interrupted, and he receives 30% less damage. (Gokuwmon attack did less damage and did not stop his punch)
Generate the hype : For every time Roy uses a different move his strength go up 10% (40%) max, this reverts back to 0% once he uses a move twice under three turns. (Roy gained 10% more attack at the start of the turn)
(now Roy was at 30 percent more attack power)
All eyes on the star : what this passive does is essentially draw the attention of the enemy on him, but also heal him by 5% percent every turn. (He is healed by 5%)

Ah, God. Should Tadayoshi ask Sophie? She was his superior. Was there time? Doubtful. Tadayoshi knew how AEGIS was trained and his own overarching objective, but he couldn't say the same for DATS. All he could really do was make a snap decision and hope it was the right one. Good thing he had input from people around him, else he might've just simply lost his head.
Assaultmon didn't have that kind of time, though. One in the party deviated from the rest, and he had to be stopped. "Royland, stand down!" Assaultmon growled at the lion as he charged and tried to get him to stop the attack. It was wasted effort, though; the lion is too fast. "That's enough!" Whether the attack succeeded or not, he'd then continue to move in and attempt to shoulder charge his own ally to get his attention. The importance of this was obvious, at least in his eyes: whatever the call was, it had to be a united front. "General, we need orders!" Assaultmon urged. Meanwhile, he pointed both barrels at the enemies. "Don't move!"
This is pointless! They're on a suicide mission! was his original gut reaction, We already tried negotiation! That may be a whole country's military worth of firepower in this one intersection, but they were overpowered before and still didn't back down. However, Tadayoshi on further consideration found that one of his premises was actually a counterargument. ...That is a lot of firepower down there, isn't it? If this escalates... Gulp. ...It'll be even worse if this becomes a three-way fight. I know we have the city's best interests at heart, but from what I've heard we can't trust DATS for the same. They might even turn on us trying to control the situation too much. Shoot, how are they even here?
In any case, the decision was made. Protecting his home was the most important thing, which meant making this a fight between two factions, not three. "All of you, order your digimon to cooperate. We're working with the government for now." As for Alice and Kazuya, "Yes, both of you, get down there. Talk some sense into those morons. Make them understand these two won't back down, and act as a direct link from us to them. Assaultmon, hold your fire! Everyone, hold your fire!"
Assaultmon did not have trouble following orders, but he didn't relax either. He started to slowly step toward the other DATS digimon while keeping his aim on the invaders. He mumbled to the nearest one, the Revivemon, "We've already tried negotiation. This is a suicide mission for them. We won't cross you, but you must reconsider." He might not have had the chance to plead his case later, but he had to state his opinion while he still thought he had the time.

When everyone else hesitated, it appeared only Royland was left fighting. Gokuwmon saw him coming and had no choice but to respond to it. Rather than counter-attack as he did before, Gokuwmon quickly made his somersault cloud lurch to the side, so that Royland would go flying past his head. "I said cease combat!" the DATS agent with the blonde hair called to Royland. "This is your last warning!"Thankfully all the remaining digimon settled down. It was a tense standoff with some it seemed, but thankfully no further attacks were launched. In the silence that followed, the control spire changed in color from blue to green. The DATS team watched it curiously, but for the moment they were concentrating on the digimon here. "We were observing" another agent stated in response to Dorothy, the woman with the black hair, evidently unimpressed. "What we saw were hotshot digimon taking the law into their own hands and treating one of the busiest intersections in Tokyo as though it's a level in a video game..."
A look from the blonde agent silenced her, she scoffed and took out a cigarette, lighting it, but saying no more. Mizu was way more blunt than that, demanding they show authority. "Very well. We are agents Maria, Tiger and Machine of the Digital Accident and Tactics Squad, better known as DATS" the blonde agent said, apparently named Maria, holding up her credentials, complete with badge and ID. "And we're here in response to a dangerous high level digimon incident, namely revolving around this tower here"."It's called a 'Control Spire' I believe" the only male DATS agent said, apparently named Agent Machine. That was probably an alias. The Assaultmon seemed to be the one calling the shots here, or at least, partnered to one. The word "general" was spoken, which made the agents curious. He then next explained to Revivemon that these two digimon could not be negotiated with. "I see" Revivemon answered. Indeed, he had been flying high above the battlefield, observing the battle from afar, his black scales hidden in the night sky. "The situation thus appears to be this. Sanzomon and Gokuwmon make their incursion, clearing the crossing with an explosion and manage to rapidly assemble their Control Spire. Then six tamers, under the leadership of AEGIS, arrive and attempt to persuade them to not continue with their plans. The spire appears to have disabled all unshielded electronics in the area, and has also sealed all normal evolutions, hence the digimon on one side being in their armor forms. Yet... those on the defending side appear to be able to retain their Ultimate level forms naturally, interesting"."For what purpose have you made this incursion?" Agent Maria asked Sanzomon and Gokuwmon. "We intend to use this device to disrupt the digital gate in the vicinity to prevent you humans from accessing our world" Sanzomon replied. "I see. An agreeable goal, but your execution has been beyond poor" the DATS agent stated. "Yes you did equip your spire with countermeasures, but you also gained the attention of half a dozen heavily armed digimon, who appear to have you on the defensive. Furthermore you have terrorized hundreds and are responsible for a great deal of destruction to our world. This is something we cannot accept"."...how are your digimon able to hold their Ultimate forms?" Gokuwmon asked suddenly, staring at the Revivemon, Wingdramon and Awakened Sistermon. "Control Spires work by emitting a jamming signal that prevents normal digivolution of all digimon nearby" Agent Machine stated. "The only things that can bypass this are the digimon accessing their armor forms through digimentals, which are resistant to that jamming wavelength; or through the use of a dark ring, normally. Yet you two seem quite lucid for that sort of thing. No, I believe you have equipped yourselves with devices that render you unaffected by the spire's effect. Similar to a program we have installed on our iC model digivices" the agent had a soft, polite voice, but he still could easily be heard. " Simply put, we know enough about your control spire to quickly destroy it".Sanzomon and Gokuwmon gasped at this development. It seemed they were going to be completely thwarted by these new arrivals. "Yes. I understand that you're not willing to negotiate" Agent Maria stated. "Therefore we will not. Your options are to surrender immediately, or be destroyed"."So you wish for the gate between our two worlds to remain open?" Sanzomon asked. "Let the cycle of digimon and humans disrupting each other's worlds continue?"
"Of course we don't!" Agent Tiger replied back, in a tone that was surprisingly strong. "But when we do it, we'll do it ourselves, and not through your monument that's already fucked up half the city's power".
The two ultimate level digimon stared at each other. They were barely holding up against six opponents, now it seemed they would be up against ten. And the fight had been so vigorous, so dangerous, they would not have been able to hold up much longer. Indeed, Sanzomon looked at Levi, who could have been free to attack were it not for the intervention. By now they were working around the effects of the control spire, getting more and more effective. Could they escape? No, it was unlikely. They had no means of returning, and the DATS digimon were blocking their route to the Trailmon terminal. They could escape via flight, but then they'd be simply hunted down sooner or later. "We have no choice" Gokuwmon seethed through his teeth. Sanzomon's eyes seemed resigned. "Will we live?" was her only question. "Of course. You will of course be interrogated, but once that is complete, you will be returned to the digital world" Maria stated. Those terms were enough. "Now then. If you agree to surrender, please disassemble the control spire at once"."We cannot" Sanzomon answered, seeming like her spirit had totally vanished. "Well then, we will" Agent Tiger stated. "Everybody get away from the tower if you're not attacking it! Green light means there's no active countermeasures, right?""Correct" said the Revivemon. When enough time had passed, the newly arrived digimon begun to attack. Sanzomon and Gokuwmon did not attempt to stop them. "Blaze Sonic Breath!" the Wingdramon roared, and fired a blast of energy up high at the tower, exploding and leaving an indent in it. "Saviour Beam!" the Revivemon shouted, firing a golden beam from his chest up at the tower, for very much a similar effect. "Cross Fire!" the Sistermon Noir cried, aiming her guns and firing two pearly-white blasts of energy at the spire. "Trinity Lancer!" the Sistermon Blanc called, raising her trident, then fired a white-golden beam at the black obelisk. The attacks did a considerable number on the tower, but still it remained standing. With that, Agent Maria turned to the other digimon present. "Better chip in before it turns red" she instructed them. "Make sure you don't tip it over, but if you do, make sure it doesn't hit a building, we've got enough cleanup work to do tonight". Gokuwmon evades Royland's attack, but makes no counter-attack. Because you have dealt more than 50% damage to Sanzomon or Gokuwmon and have kept up the pressure on them, rendering them unable to complete their objectives, they surrender. Wingdramon, Revivemon, Sistermon Noir and Sistermon Blanc attack the Control Spire. Blaze Sonic Breath - Inhales and exhales a powerful stream of fire from his mouth. Almost resembles an energy beam from its strength. Explodes into heat upon impact, dealing area-of-effect damage for 10 meters from the impact. Saviour Beam - The mouth on Revivemon's chest opens and fires an immense golden beam of energy at the target. Deals enhanced damage [Cooldown: 1 turn] Cross Fire: Raises her guns, then fires two holy shots at the enemy. Can fire both at one target, or one each at two targets. The bullets ignore defenses and barriers. [Cooldown: 2 posts].Trinity Lancer - Sistermon Blanc aims her Cross Barbee and fires a blast of divine lightning at a target. This lightning can bypass all defenses and barriers. [Cooldown: 2 turns] Green Mode Effect: "Rest"
- In Green mode, due to the sheer power expended in powering the other two modes, it needs to recharge for 1 turn. There are no active defenses on the tower in this time.
Damage Taken:
4 Ultimate Attacks 2.5 Armor Ultimate Attacks 2.5 Armor Champion Attacks
The Control Spire is below 50% integrity.

The "flight" down to ground level by Alice is far from pleasant, but she manages to make it. Despite the experience from using it herself several times now, be it from simple joyriding or the necessity of doing so in combat with Dorothy as Wisemon by her side, things aren't nearly as simple, the green haired woman struggling to not plummet at times. But given the situation, and the approval from Tadayoshi, there's no turning back now. At the very least, she can approach the intersection and meet up with her partner. Normally, she would think things through, approach them more slowly, cautiously... But not in a situation like this. No matter how hard she tries, her emotions drive her to do the most reckless, irrational things just shy of insanity. To be fair, this is the middle of the night, a night that was to at least be tolerable, rather than the kind of situation no one can prepare for. As her descent slows to something more manageable, she makes sure to land somewhere out of public view for the most part before scrambling to the intersection, an already exhausted heart pounding in her chest, and looking just as healthy as someone who shouldn't be awake at this time of night in the first place, but alive and most importantly safe. Running over to Dorothy's side is the first thing Alice does as she enters the intersection with the colossal spire and the agents from the government. Without thinking, she embraces the blue, impish Mienumon in a hug, one not of joy, but of concern, tight and protective but shaky. "...Thank goodness you're safe..." She lets go as soon as the unending glare of the dark-haired DATS Agent registers in her brain, awkwardly brushing herself off. "Apologies about all that. I'm Alice, what's going on here?" Alice states to nobody in particular with labored breaths, still shaken by her descent. "...Uhh, These guys were watchin' us. Compared you 'n us to, uhh, kids playin' a video game, or something..." As happy as Dorothy is to see Alice, the tension between the two because of the situation is obvious, both of them undoubtedly being judged by the DATS agents. Gritting her teeth, the Mienumon approaches the spire with several light steps, readying to attack it along with the rest of the group. Such a comparison makes the green haired woman's expression briefly snap right back into the slightly cold one she usually has around strangers, her response to what the dark haired Agent said slightly deadpan, but not in the most hostile tone. "I wasn't prepared for something to happen on this day, at this time... Usually, I'd think things through a little more." She shakes her head, what little wooziness in her head remains gone now, a sigh of mild irritation coming out of her mouth. "Never a dull moment with Digimon, huh?"While Alice explains herself, Dorothy lashes the puppet's tongue at the jet black spire, the appendage stretching a fair distance and striking with the force of a whip or flail. "Yeah, yeah, green means go, in this case, hit it!" The aggression in her voice is obvious, but as is the fear of being turned against, the other Digimon probably being able to sense that she's the weakest here by a large margin. As friendly and relatively formal Alice tries to be, she, too, does not like this situation. How much does DATS know about Digimon? Obviously far more than anyone else, even the field club, given their showing here. And how much do they know about other Tamers? The Agents seem almost... Disinterested, to some extent. Perhaps that's a good thing, she thinks to herself. Either way, a mild frustration burns throughout her, not feeling upstaged, but rather uncertain. Are they to be trusted? Will they turn on the others as soon as the Spire is dealt with? None of this has any answer, so all the green haired woman can do is watch, wait, and ponder the nature of the dark obelisk, curious of their nature and makeup since her first encounter. She slips her notebook out of her bag, ready to write down notes on the spire and the DATS Agents, but making sure she isn't attracting attention, taking several steps back to keep her writings private. To lose her notebook would be almost as bad as losing her partner, after all.
Dorothy uses Chameleon Whip on the Spire. Chameleon Whip: Similar to Chameleon Lick, only it's directed at enemies, and harms foes rather than actually doing anything interesting. She does this with more of a sweeping motion than a forwards one.

The dragon man glowered up at the agents. "Taking the law into our- you coulda told us there were proper authorities for this sorta stuff! But you hid yourselves! You were perfectly content to hide and 'observe' us as we struggled for a while, and now you're berating us for showing up? Jeez..." Levi was about to say something about the video game comment, but it would seem as if the agent was speaking out of line anyway, so he decided not to press further on how exactly they were treating the place like a video game. They were trying to minimize collateral, dammit!
For that matter, they could have told them they knew how to counteract the spire's limiting effects without the use of a digimental, but whatever, benefit of the doubt, maybe they just found out. It required special devices, so perhaps it took too much time or resources to make. Both Alan and Levi knew that their first "they're just jerks" assessment was likely more accurate, but also knew that now wasn't the time to get angry at them. They were cooperating now, even if they were saying some, WOW were they saying some disagreeable things! They had to have known this stuff for a long time and kept it to themselves before telling it to the people who kept trying to get rid of these spires! And not even that, they were talking to the people who were trying to build them! And they were saying they shared a goal! It was as if they were giving Sanzomon and Gokuwmon advice on how they could do it better next time! Except they weren't, because they claimed they would do it themselves, and better! Now THAT was a red flag! All of their thoughts were ending in exclamation points! That's how outraged they would be if they started thinking too deeply into the agents' words now!
The point was, there was one thing the DATS, AEGIS, and its temporary affiliates could all agree on: the spire needed to be disassembled.
Levi watched the sky to ensure he wasn't in the way of any of the DATS agents' attacks, then stepped forward, and before doing anything else, turned to the spire's architects. Hoping he'd at least be heard, he said to them...
"I... assume we both have some kind of understanding of this by now... but I wanted you know... this isn't personal in the slightest. I'm sure we both would have preferred to end this without a fight, but the goals... the purposes we so strongly believe in... when they clash so directly, it makes that a lot harder. I admit... I'm probably open-minded to a fault. I can't hold a grudge. Ill will slips through my fingers like water: most of it falls through, and then the rest evaporates. So... when you're back in the digital world, and we happen to see each other... perhaps we can bond over something else. Though, there is one condition..." Levi made the two ultimates a wide, playful, yet sincere, grin.
"...my partner has to be there with me~!"
He turned around and returned to the spire. "How about a little damage boost, Alan?"
"Y-yeah," stuttered the voice on the other end of the comm, its owner searching through his small deck of cards. "You alright?" "A bit choked up is all... Agumon, right?" "Yep! Claw Slash! Don't wanna waste a Blue Flare on Pepper Breath, now do we?" "Got it!"
As Alan swiped the necessary card through the reader, Levi felt a tiny surge of power in one arm, as he boldly raised it and slashed at the surface of the green-glowing spire. "Every bit counts! Now- once more with feeling!" The intense blue flames of Flamedramon surged to life, followed by a hearty shout of "SOLARSAULT!" as Levi jumped, spun, and dug like a flaming buzz saw into the spire once more. It felt good to let out a shout once in a while, now that the commotion of the other digimon's efforts helped to balance it out.
For Alan, viewing from the sky, the colors and lights of the momentary display of teamwork was a most beautiful sight indeed.
A more fitting new year's celebration than a slowly descending colorful ball ever could be.
Alan uses DR-01: Agumon on Levi. DR-01 Card Name: Agumon Type: Digimon Rank: Bronze Duration: 1 Post Pepper Breath: The target Digimon unleashes a small fireball from it’s mouth Claw Slash: The target Digimon’s claw temporarily sharpens, and swings for a single attack. Card Uses Remaining: 1 Levi attacks the control spire using Claw Slash.
Levi attacks the control spire using Solarsault, powered-up by Blue Flare.
Solarsault - Flamedramon pulls his arms and legs in for a mid-air flaming spin attack. The fire, combined with the spikes on Flamedramon’s armor, makes this a dangerous thing to be hit by. 2-post cooldown. Cooldown remaining: 2 posts
Blue Flare - Intensifies Flamedramon’s flames, turning them blue temporarily. The first fire attack within the next two posts is approximately 1.5 times as strong. 1-post cooldown. Cooldown remaining: 1 post
Levi ends his turn within the control spire's light.

Post by Tadayoshi Teppei and Silence on Feb 26, 2019 18:21:01 GMT
This was supposed to be good, wasn't it? Wasn't this supposed to be victory? Tadayoshi knew the feeling of victory and, in fact, even knew the feeling of a mixed victory better than most, so he thought. It wasn't as fulfilling as he expected it to be, but it always made him think that at least he did something. Even when outside help was what saved his life, at least the enemy was defeated, right? That bitter-sweetness should have been what Tadayoshi felt here. The invaders were surrendering, and the control spire was about to be safely demolished by the combined attacks of the Tamers who came to help. So, then, why didn't he feel like the villain was vanquished?
Assaultmon had nothing to say to these DATS agents, not even when they verbally backhanded all of the heroes who really saved the day. He had more important things to worry about than petty pride. However, there was one thing he wasn't quite willing to give DATS: deference, like to someone who gives orders. For that reason he told his comrades, "All fire on the obelisk," even though DATS had already done so. Why? That was his little way of attempting to make his group appear as allies to DATS - but not subordinates.
Assaultmon, however, did not fire on it himself. He kept his two main guns aimed at the invading digimon, for he simply refused to take all attention off of them. He didn't trust the invaders not to strike when his back was turned, and like before he wanted the draw on them if they were playing possum. If they weren't, maybe the business end of a barrel might also prevent them from changing their minds.
"This isn't right." Tadayoshi approached the human team mates still in his helicopter digimon. "AEGIS should have been notified about this. The fact that we weren't isn't a good sign. Watch DATS very carefully." He regarded the scene on the ground with a frown. "Helomon, when the spire is gone, it'll be safe to land. I don't know what we'll do once we're on the ground, but it should be safe to drop everyone off." The General bit his lip and sighed. There Alan was, getting overemotional as normal. There was Levi below, burning with passion. Alice and Dorothy were there, too, so happy to be close again and looking relieved for it to be finally over. But Tadayoshi? He just felt... empty. And unsure. "Also... nice work, everybody."
He retreated to his own corner then and spoke to his digivice. "Ma'am, sir... I can only imagine I must have screwed up unforgivably not only to cause this level of collateral but reactivate DATS. There's no apology I can make that would sufficiently express my regret or match the severity of the situation, but I am deeply sorry for it." The young man then finally lost it. He couldn't keep his composure up anymore. He plopped his butt right down on the floor and slipped his face behind his knees. Good thing the chopper blades were so loud; otherwise someone on the vehicle might have heard him sobbing.

DATS? Some sort of government agency? Mizu, frankly, did not care. All she cared about was that a) they were arrogant as hell and b) they robbed her of her time in the sun after she managed to overcome her own terror. The calm explanation by the agent only served to stoke Mizu's alcohol-soaked fury. "Urgh, you guys are worse than that Tadayoshi bastard! You can't just waltz in and act like you own the battlefield just because you take orders from some old farts sitting in the parliament while counting their monthly bribe money!" Everything else that was said also flew over the Lilymon X's head as she flailed around in the air uselessly, angry beyond belief. "Mizu, calm down, please!" Yukiko, her voice slowly melting back to the soft and awkward tone one was used to now that the danger for the city was being dismantled, tried to reason with her partner. "Th-th-the danger is over! Just focus your anger on the spire and then we can go home!" Screaming in drunk anger, Mizu flew at the spire and began to whip the everloving crud out of it with a thorny whip, putting her fury into every lash and screaming at the top of her lungs.
Yukiko could only sigh. The situation had taken quite an unexpected turn. Some government agency had returned, and managed to get the two Digimon to stand down. Frankly, she did not mind. The city was safe now, that was her main focus from the start. With the tension over, her softness returned, and it made her notice Tadayoshi being upset. She walked over to him, knelt down next to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "H-h-h-hey, boss, y-y-you did your best, really! You managed to drum up a response so fast, a-a-a-and you did your best, even though the situation was so far beyond everyone else! I know, there was a lot of collateral damage...b-b-but imagine the damage that would have been caused if you hadn't stepped in! And m-m-maybe the return of these DATS guys is just a coincidence! R-r-really, you did more than anyone else would have in this situation, chief!" Honestly, Yukiko had no idea what to say to cheer Tadayoshi up, she'd hoped that this would at least help a -bit-.
Lilymon X uses Thorn Lash: Lilymon X attacks a close range foe with a thorny whip. Lilymon X attacks the spire, ending her turn in its light.
