It was a day just like any other day. The clouds were hanging heavily in the sky, a bit dark with the threat of rain constantly overhead, but Kazuki didn't mind. To be quite blunt, he enjoyed the cloudy weather. When it was too bright out, he was always pressured to play sports with his step-brothers. The days where even they refused to leave the home was the days that he relished the most. Taking his tablet and shoving into his backpack, he had run out the door and found his way to his favorite writing spot. A small tree in the park, with a certain branch that normally protected him from the heat of the sun with its shadow during the hot summer months of the year.
He was only just a few feet from his favorite tree before it began. The sky began to rumble, lightning crackling high above as the clouds grew darker and darker. Kazu simply let out a long groan, time to head to the boring library and the dozens of others uninspired writers.
However, before he could even turn around his favorite tree was suddenly struck by lightning as water began to absolutely pour down around him. Nearly scared out of his shoes, Kazu yelled in fear as he suddenly turned around and bolted out of the park. That was too close to danger. He took a nervous gulp as he ran. If he had actually sat beneath it, he might have been a goner!
Just as he exited the park, the winds began to kick up a notch and nearly knocking him onto the ground with the intense winds. Just what was going on today? The forecast had only declared cloudy skies, not deadly thunderstorms with heavy winds. Deciding it was probably best to just run home, Kazu gripped his backpack close to his chest as he barreled through the heavy rains. Fear was getting the best of him, his writing in his notebook would be soiled if he didn't get to safety.
All he had to do was cross the Shibuya River to get home, but something was strange that day. Maybe it was fate, or simply bad luck that decided his destiny, Kazu tripped, slipping down the mud and slamming face first into the river itself. Before he knew it, everything went black.
Kazu wasn't even quite conscious when color seemed to fade back into reality. His head was pounding, face half buried into the dirt of the bottom of a massive canyon. Massive winged creatures flew overhead, beasts that wouldn't have looked out of place in one of his many stories. Yet, the only thing the mostly-unconscious boy could focus on was the incredibly loud beeping sound coming from inside his bag. Almost out of instinct, he mumbled in frustration as if it were nothing more than an alarm clock.

Desmond was quietly tinkering with his Digivice while his partner, the DemiMeramon with his headphone on was humming along with the music. To be honest, the blond tamer had no real clue where they were going. Demi said that he heard of some kind of place with a nice view and got curious. He also found what a dragon was thanks to Netflix and really wanted to see one but he did not tell his tamer about it. Good thing that the Frenchman wasn't the one that asks too many questions. Both of them were making their way into the canyon, slowly but surely. It would take them a few hours before reaching what looked like two giant cliffs. The wind was a bit strong but the view was indeed pretty nice. "Look! Look!" Demi cheerfully shouted while pointing to at the canyon. "Can we go there?"
The blond tamer looked down, it was a pretty tall cliff. However, he thought that going down was better than staying in those wind. They looked around for the safest way down and then, a small beep appeared on his Digivice. Desmond stopped moving for a second and Demi did the same. He removed his headphone and gave them back to his tamer who took them before placing them around his neck. "It is beeping?" The Digimon asked. Desmond nodded. "Yeah..." He never really understood the device. Sometimes, he was pointing toward another Digivice, sometimes just in a random direction. "Should we follow it?" The Frenchman took a moment to think before nodding again. "Might as well."
And with that, both tamer and partner began making their way following the small blue dot on the Digivice's screen. They were now walking a bit faster, while Desmond was walking, Demi was floating. He knew that the DemiMeramon couldn't float much faster than that so he wasn't going to run ahead. He kept looking at the small screen while his partner was looking in front of them while trying to whistle. A loud roar could be heard from above and the human instinctively looked up. He saw a large shadow pass them by and his jaw dropped a bit. He didn't like it. Demi, on the other hand, seems quite happy. His eyes got bigger in amazement. "Desmond! Did you see that?" His tamer didn't say anything, he just stood still for a moment while looking up at the sky. "Desmond!" His head slowly moved to look at the fireball. "Uh?"
"Did you see that?" He asked with joy in his voice. "I bet it's a dragon!" To be frank, Desmond did not like the sound of it. He knew that Digimon could be pretty much anything so it didn't surprise him that much but the idea of seeing a dragon that was big enough to cast a shadow made him feel uneasy. "Hmmm..." He wasn't sure if he wanted to follow that dot anymore. What he did know that he had something in his Device that could take them back home quickly but didn't know exactly how it works. The beeping noise could be faintly heard making Demi tilt his head on one side. "Are you okay?" he asked a bit concern. "Uh? Oh, yeah. I'm fine." Shaking his head to get rid of the thought of getting chased by a dragon-like Digimon, Desmond took a deep breath and began walking once more.
It would take them a few more minutes before seeing something on the ground a few meters away. It looked humanoid from where they were. He could see a vaguely human shape, with the face on the dirt. He looked back to his Digivice. The blue dot was now closer to the center of the screen. It must be that. "Come, Demi." And he slowly made his way with his partner floating behind him. Within a few more steps, he saw that it had red and white hair. Maybe it was a Digimon after all. "Demi..." And he saw his partner float by him and go toward the person on the ground. "Wait..." The fireball began poking the red and white hair. "Hello!" He shouted out loud while still poking it. "Are you alive?"

Kazu didn't quite realize when his mostly unconscious state transferred into normal sleep, but the beeping noise wasn't waking him even remotely. However, the poking and the shout of hello right near his head immediately jerked him awake. He quickly shook and rolled over onto his back, before sitting upright. The lost boy was quick to groan, rubbing his head as a headache quickly overcame him as he opened up his eyes. Almost immediately, he was taken aback.
Ignoring the strange new location he was in, with its massive canyon walls surrounding him, was impossible. Where was Shibuya? Where was his home? Before he could really worry about any of that, his eyes locked onto, what he could only assume, was a figment of his imagination. A small, floating, ball of fire with a face. "Okay, so I'm dreaming, right? Was all he could even think to say. He continued to simply stare, blinking his eyes before noticing the blonde-haired man standing nearby.
Carefully standing up to his feet, he swung his still beeping backpack onto his shoulder as he spoke again. "I'm... I'm not dreaming, am I? I can't be. Where am-" Before he can even finish his statement, a massive shadow began to fly overhead once more. This time, the creature that made the shadow was quite visible from above. A winged dragon, massive with terrifying claws and teeth, with blue scales and wings that stretched across the skies. To anyone who might recognize the Digimon, it was a blue Coredramon, seemingly content to just scout the intruders for now.
However, to Kazuki, he had no idea what anything was. To him, all he saw was a massive dragon fly overhead. A rational man might have run in fear, but Kazu's eyes simply grew wider and wider. An actual smile spread across his face, staring up at the flying beast so close by. Kazu's entire life had been devoted to writing about dragons, mythical beasts, fantasy worlds, he was stunned into silence as joy overtook him.
"What is this place..." He said to no one in particular, slowly looking around and looking at all the flying, winged digital creatures all around him. To him, it might as well have been some kind of heaven. To be deposited in some "fantasy" world, just like all those cheesy mangas did. He slowly turned towards the man and his Digimon, eyes wide and with audible excitement in his voice.
"Who are you, and where am I? What... What is this beautiful world? Please, tell me. I need to know!"

The DemiMeramon floated backward a bit when the stranger stood up. Being tiny, he looked up at him with a smile and waved with both hands. "He's alive!" He shouted while still waving. "Desmond! Look! Look!" The blond tamer sighed. "Yes, Demi. I can see that." He softly said without smiling though. He would let the other human time to stand up properly and then see that shadow above them once more. This time, it seemed that whatever shadow it belonged to, was slightly closer. And that looked like trouble to him. Hopefully, that wild Digimon would only keep watching them from a distance. After standing still for a bit longer, Desmond then looked at the boy with colorful hair. He seemed to be kind of happy seeing that shadow passing by, His left eyebrow lifted for a second. Maybe he just landed in here and hit his head too hard.
Looking at his partner, that was still smiling and waving, the Frenchman sighed once more. He waited for the stranger to finish asking his questions before speaking. "I'm Desmond, Desmond Edmund." He simply said. "And this is..." The fireball quickly shouted. "Demi!" To that, Desmond just nodded. "Yes, Demi. He's a Digimon. And also my partner." He paused to make sure that he wasn't going to freak out. "This place is called the Digital world. It's... Complicated." He would wait for a second to see if he was still listening to him. "That shadow... Must be another Digimon too. And a big one." He wasn't sure what kind it was and to be honest, he didn't really want to know. Another short pause. "Just know that you are not in danger." He wasn't going to say for now but deiced that it might not be the best time to tell him that.
"I see that you are not with a Digimon..." That could mean that his partner could be nearby. It happened before that a tamer had to look around before finding their partner. Desmond then showed him the Digivice he was holding. "You might have something like this." The beeping ceased but the blue dot on it was now in the center of the screen. "It's a Digivice, that is what they, the Digimon, call it." He made sure that the newly arrived human could study it from afar before placing it into his pocket. "Yes, it's a lot of Digi. Pretty sure that it means Digital."
"Let me guess, you come from Shibuya?" That was the one common thing about every human he met so far in this world. "Got into a train? Fell into the river?" And that seemed to be pretty common as well. "May I ask for your name?" Desmond then asked hoping that the boy with the colorful hair would cooperate.
"Can I hug him?" Demi then asked his tamer. "You can ask him if he wants a hug." To this, the Digimon smiled broadly and inched closer to the other human. "Don't worry, he won't burn you. You might feel a bit of warmth but yeah, won't burn you." The DemiMeramon waved timidly this time. "Can I hug you?" He asked while smiling. "He tries to hug everyone, don't worry about why. He just likes hugging people."

Desmond. Demi. Digimon. Digital World. Digivice. The Shibuya River? All this information was tossed at him as if it was something he should understand. Lots of Digi indeed. Why was it strange that he didn't have a Digimon? Was he supposed to? Was it wrong that he somehow came here without one? He didn't know, nor did he understand. Was everything in this Digital World a Digimon, or only these little flame boys? This was going to take some getting used to. The only thing he knew, was that this wasn't exactly the fantasy wonderland from his dreams, but it was close enough, right? "You can uh, call me Kazu." As he spoke, finally taking note of the rather consistent beeping from his backpack. At the mention of the hug, he took a single step back in surprise as he attempted to sling the backpack off his shoulder. "Just uh, give me one second, huh?" He hoped he was taking this whole thing well. A whole new world of reality... with dragons and digital monsters, and something about this all being underneath Shibuya? It was a little bit scary, but being honest with himself, it was more exciting than anything else. Hopefully, that buzzing noise wasn't his parents constantly trying to call him... Would a phone even work in this world? He didn't have a clue, yet the sudden thought of his parents worried him. His mother was probably already being called by his father, saying that he was missing! His happy mood was immediately dampened, not entirely sure how he felt about having everyone worry about him. Reaching into his bag, he slowly found the source of the beeping, and immediately his curiosity was piqued once more. Was this what the man had mentioned earlier? A Digivice? Why did it look so different compared to Desmond's? He had no idea how it ended up in his bag, yet he held it upright anyways for the other man to see. It was strange, colored perfectly just to match him... Was one of these just given to everyone who came here? How did he even get it in his bag? He experimentally pushed a button, when suddenly the screen lit up with information, as the small flame floating in front of him appeared on the screen. DemiMeramon... That answered his question about multiple Digimon, but the whole idea of this "Digivice" confused him even still. Finally, he looked up at Demi, and with a soft sigh Kazu just accepted reality for what it was and opened up his arms. "Yeah, sure. I'm always up for new things." Only after the hug was over, he turned once more to look at Desmond for some more information. "I slipped into the river... And now I'm here, yeah." He paused, before asking the question that was slowly eating at him. "What did you mean, when you said that I wasn't with a Digimon? What... about that thing?" Kazu pointed towards the blue dragon circling overhead.

"Kazu!" The DemiMeramon shouted happily. It happened in the past that he couldn't pronounce long names so he was happy that this one had a short one. "Nice to meet you, Kazu." Desmond would then say before hiding his hands in his jacket's pockets. He would wait for the other human to get more comfortable with everything he explained to him. He knew that it was a lot to take in. And Kazu didn't seem very old so maybe it was even more traumatizing for him, landing into this world with nothing. Fortunately, the Frenchman found him before something else did. He could have been that dragon's lunch if they didn't meet. He could see the shadow moving around them but he wasn't that afraid. If they were alone, yes, he would be scared. But they were three of them and so far, that shadow was alone. Desmond also knew that he shouldn't be panicking, that might make Kazu panic as well. So he stayed calm and didn't look up at all.
The blond tamer looked at Kazu's Digivice. It didn't look like his at all but he has seen weirder things before. Maybe it was just another type of Digivice, he wasn't sure. He saw the boy with colorful hair press the button on it, he knew that he was just randomly trying the button because, well he just found that device. Desmond was still toying with his can kept discovering new uses for it. It was a useful yet weird device. Then, the shadow appeared to be moving in circles now. It was easy to see that whatever it is, it spotted them and most likely, going to meet them soon. Desmond couldn't help but look up this time, he couldn't see much but a vague dragon-like blue silhouette that would block the sun from times on times. He used one hand to shield his eyes from the sun for a moment. Maybe they shouldn't stay here for too long. The issue was that they couldn't really hide anywhere.
Demi was filled with joy that Kazu accepted the hug. The fireball inched closer and closer until he pressed his face on whichever part of his body Kazu would allow him to be. The Digimon held on the hug for a moment, maybe too long. "Kazu smells like rain!" He then shouted to his tamer who slowly moved his head to look at those two. "Demi, be nice." He knew that his partner didn't want to insult Kazu, he just liked smelling people and compare it to Desmond. Demi would wait for the teenager to push him gently away before letting go of the hug. After the hug, he would slowly make his way back to his tamer and spin on himself.
"Well, everyone I met so far had a Digimon partner with them." Desmond began explaining. "Sometimes, they are just around, they seemed to have a connection to our Digivice." He paused to look at Kazu's Digivice and went to scratch the back of his head. "Do you see anything on the screen? A dot, arrow or something? That could help us find your partner." Desmond looked up once more when Kazu pointed up. It was getting closer for sure. The blond tamer stayed calm though, maybe the dragon-like Digimon was just curious. Or maybe it was Kazu's partner, that could be a possibility. In any case, there wasn't much he could do about it right now but to wait. "You might want to come closer to me..." Desmond would slowly say without looking at the other human. He didn't say the reason why right away.
"Demi." The DemiMeramon stopped spinning and looked up as well. "Be ready." He simply said. That Dragon like Digimon was getting closer. To be honest, Demi wasn't scared at all. He wanted to see dragons because of that movie he saw earlier. He was excited that it was going to meet them. The thought of it being dangerous never came to his childish mind. On the other hand, Desmond was not very pleased by that. He has seen enough evil wild Digimon so far. "Hey!" Demi then shouted making his tamer look down. "Hey there!" The Frenchman was about to say something but the Digimon was louder. "I'm Demi! What's your name?"

Kazu admittedly felt the hug on his arm a bit odd, but he tried his best to let the warm feeling not bother him. In a world where he knew nothing, it was best to make friends before trying to upset anyone. Letting a cute little flame give him a hug seemed rather low on the level of worries. At the comment about the summer rains, however, Kazu couldn't help but chuckle. "I did just come from an uh, thunderstorm out of nowhere." Kazu even felt comfortable enough to gently pat their head in an affectionate manner.
At Desmond's suggestion, he held up his own Digivice and began to experiment with it. If every human who came here had a Digimon partner, then surely his had to exist, right? It was such a strange concept, but in this world it probably made sense. He was trying hard not to over-question everything. If he took the moment to fully sit down and try to comprehend just what insanity had happened to him, then he might miss the chance to talk with someone who clearly already knew what was going on.
Before he could really figure out what any of the strange symbols on the Digivice meant before he realized that Desmond was beckoning him closer. He didn't even realize what was going on until the dragon Digimon came more into view. It's circling finished, it seemed content to finally investigate in person. Kazuki was quick to make his way to stand next towards the experienced Tamer, eyes immensely wide as the blue draconic Digimon landed a few meters in front of them with a loud thud, the dust on the canyon floor whipping up into the air. At first, Kazu didn't think it was very tall until it stood up straight and he was clearly at least a couple heads taller.
Up close, Kazu was definitely more nervous than before. From the dragon he saw from far off, up close was another story. Sharp teeth and claws, and what could only be described in his perspective as a permanent scowl on his draconic face. Almost upon instinct, Kazu held up the Digivice and pressed the same button he used earlier on Demi. It quickly told him it was a Coredramon, but what that actually meant to him was next to nothing. All he knew, was exactly what he had been told. Was this supposed to be his 'partner'?
The dragon seemed to stare at the intruders, especially at DemiMeramon who spoke to him first. It seemed like he wasn't much of a talker, as his wings slowly unfurled and began to expose its teeth. Quite clearly, telling them to get lost without saying a word. Fear latched on Kazu's heart as he stared at the rows upon rows of bright, shiny teeth, and yet he gripped his Digivice tighter and took a single step forwards. "A-are you my uh, partner?"
The dragon turned to stare at him, a sudden gnashing of teeth as he actually spoke with a very offended tone. "Don't be daft, boy. I am no human's partner, and I never will be." The dragon growled, causing Kazu to once again fear the massive beast as he backstepped. This didn't exactly seem like the best possible outcome.
Quietly, Kazuki spoke to Desmond. "Those uh... teeth are as sharp as they look, huh? Just because it's digital doesn't mean it can't hurt us... right?" Already, Kazu was desperately trying to think of ways to run away if he needed to. This wasn't going to end well, he could feel it.

As the Coredramon landed in front of them, Desmond couldn't help but take a step backward. The wild Digimon didn't look aggressive at first. Perhaps he was only here to warn them and ask them to peacefully turn back and go away from the canyon. However, the blond tamer had his doubts about that. Desmond was scared, everyone should be scared in this situation but he managed to stay calm so that Kazu wouldn't panic too much. He even extended his right arm on the side to shield the other human. Trying to keep eye contact with the dragon-like Digimon, the Frenchman felt his heart beating faster. It was then that Demi went closer to the wild Digimon. "Hey there!" He shouted while waving his hand.
"Demi, do not go toward him." The fireball looked at his tamer a bit confused. "Why?" He asked before turning back to face the Coredramon. "Come back here." Desmond said firmly making his partner turn around again. He could recognize that Desmond was using his serious voice. Demi looked at the blue Coredramon one more time before floating back toward the two humans. He would stop in front of the two and stay there. The blond tamer was about to say something when the wild Digimon roared loudly making him close his eyes for a second. That was very loud and it echoed a bit in the canyon. Demi now knew that this one wasn't going to be nice so he took a deep breath and made himself an inch bigger.
And then it spoke to Kazu. So that Digimon wasn't his partner, that wasn't good. Desmond waited for a second before speaking. "Sorry for intruding..." He began slowly. "We were just traveling along, we are going to go now..." He hoped that those words would be enough. He heard the Coredramon chuckle and then roar once more. He wasn't going to let them go. "We do not want to fight you." Another roar but this time, it was more than loud. Maybe it was to reveal their position to even more wild Digimon? Or maybe he just wanted to scare them. If that was the case, it worked. Desmond's left hand slowly went to grab his Digivice out of his pocket. He kept both eyes on the dragon and so did Demi. "I'm not scared of you!" The fireball yelled.
And that was all it took for the blue Coredramon to charge in and use his tail to slam the child Digimon sending it flying to the side and dust flew into the air. Desmond quickly pointed his Digivice toward his partner and scream. "Demi! Now!" He shouted as a beam of light came out of the device going toward Demi. In a fraction of a second, a bright flash occurred and a fireball came out of dust and straight toward the Coredramon hitting him on the side. A massive Digimon made of fire and steel stood up and began moving toward the two humans. The wild Coredramon roared. The attack didn't do much damage. But it did make him rethink fighting them. "Demi! Drive him away!" The tamer shouted. He didn't want to delete the blue Coredramon, he just wanted it to leave them alone.
Placing himself between the humans and the dragon, the MetalMeramon stood tall and ready. The wild Digimon took a step back and shot a blue fireball at Demi who just blocked it with his bionic arm. The fire Digimon wasn't a good warrior at long range and it seemed that the enemy saw that. He was massive but slow. "We don't have to fight!" Desmond would then shout. "Just leave us alone and we will go as well." The blue Coredramon stood silent for a second but then took flight. He began circling the trio once more.
He did so for a few seconds before diving toward the MetalMeramon at high speed. Demi tried to swing his bionic arm at it but was too slow. The Coredramon impacted on the other Digimon and Demi fell in his back leaving the two humans exposed for a second. Since Desmond was slightly in front of Kazu, the wild Digimon decided to target him with another blue fireball. Desmond's eyes widening as he wasn't prepared for that at all. It is going to hurt, a lot.

Kazu definitely was hoping that Desmond had a plan of some kind. As much as he didn't exactly know the rules of this world, he doubted that a little fireball, as cute as it was, would be able to compare to a dragon so large it could practically swallow him whole. He practically hid behind Desmond as his new friend began to explain they just wanted to leave. At the roar, Kazu shrunk where he stood just a little bit more. Perhaps, he should have been a bit more scared from the beginning. As beautiful as this world was and dragons were real just like his dreams... Dragons were real. Actual, man-eating dragons.
He just barely noticed as his friend grabbed the Digivice as Demi declared he wasn't scared of the Coredramon. His eyes widened dramatically as the dragon suddenly charged in and attempted to attack. Before he could react, Desmond's Digivice seemed to simply spill light out of it and absolutely covered Demi. Taking a step back, Kazu simply couldn't believe what had just happened. Where before floated a cute little guy who he had gotten a hug from, was now a massive beast of living flame and metal, over double of his own height.
Kazu's mouth physically dropped as he watched the combat continue. It seemed like the dragon Digimon was just as confused as he was with that strange change. A fireball was launched towards Demi and yet it was just easily blocked by the massive metal arm he had. He was protecting them. Was this Desmonds doing? Transforming his partner into this massive, powerful being? His eyes drifted from the fight towards Desmond, simply in awe of the strange power he seemed to wield even as the Coredramon took to the skies.
Right after Desmond spoke, Kazu yelled as well. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend you! Let us just... just lea-" He didn't even finish his statement, eyes locked onto the fireball hurtling directly towards his new friend. Before he even knew what he was doing, he immediately began to move. If they stood any chance of surviving this encounter, he knew right away that they needed Demi as strong as possible. If Desmond somehow gave him that power, letting him get hurt was the worse idea possible. Gritting his teeth, he attempted to slam his shoulder directly into Desmond's side, hopefully knocking him back far enough that he wouldn't be hurt. This was going to hurt...
He closed his eyes shut tight, awaiting the pain that would come from sacrificing himself. His hands squeezing his own Digivice tightly in his hands purely on instinct, when it suddenly screamed to life. Right before impact, Kazu was developed entirely in bright, white light.
For a second, Kazu didn't even realize what was going on. Visible data swirled around him as his very body seemed to be transforming into data itself, swirling into two very distinct figures of their own. Just as the Coredramon's fireball struck, a single voice echoed out from where he should have been standing, similar to his own but distinctively different.
"Cryo-Sphere!"
The fireball slammed into him, but as the smoke cleared, it was painfully obvious Kazu was no more. In his place, stood two figures within a massive sphere of ice that protected him. Sorcermon, with his staff, held up high. and Wizardmon, his own staff burning brightly even within the frozen dome. In that split second, Kazu began to realize just what had happened to him. He didn't have a partner Digimon.
He was the Digimon.

Desmond felt Kazu tackle him from the side and his feet leaving the ground from the impact. Falling on his arm, the blond tamer closed his eyes from a second instinctively. As he opened them, he couldn't see where the other human went. His eyes darted left and right but the dust flew into the air blocking his view. As the smoke disappeared, he could only to see two mysterious figures standing near him. Trying to get back on his feet, he couldn't help but be confused by what just happened. "Kazu?" He whispered at first while still looking for the boy. "Kazu!" He then shouted louder. Did the fireball delete him? The idea of him splitting into two Digimon did not come into his mind. It was the first time he saw someone disappear like that so he really hoped that Kazu did not get deleted by that fireball. The Frenchman felt incredibly guilty, that boy he just met saved his life by tackling him out of the way.
"Demi!" Desmond would shout as his partner stood back up. As the blond tamer pointed at the blue Coredramon, he saw that his Digivice screen was now lit. He quickly moved his hand back to look at the tiny screen. There were two names written on it, Wizardmon and Sorcerymon. Were they on his side? It was hard to tell but something inside of him made him feel that yes, they were the good guys. The Frenchman did not say anything at first though, he didn't know what to say.
The MetalMeramon grunted but did not look behind him. While his eyes were hidden underneath his helmet, it was easy to see that his gaze was locked on the wild dragon who was now back on the ground. The blue Coredramon seemed to be thinking on his next move now that he was outnumbered. He knew that he could win against the Digimon made of fire and metal with his speed but he did not expect the arrival of the two other Digimon. That changed everything.
The blond tamer was still trying to look for Kazu by turning on himself a few times. "Kazu!" He screamed once more. At that moment, the Coredramon extend his wings to look bigger and roared loudly. It then inhaled before spitting a large number of fireballs. Demi took one step backward and activated his forcefield ability creating a shield around him as the fireballs flew toward them. However, two of those fireballs hit the MetalMeramon before the forcefield came up. The first one hit his armored left shoulder and did nothing. The second, however, hit his other arm. It wasn't very painful but it did make him angrier. The rest of the fireballs hit the large forcefield, protecting the trio behind him.
"Keep that shield up!" Desmond would then shout. He didn't really have any tactic in mind. He just hoped that the wild Digimon would either go in close range or just run away. By now, the Coredramon knew that he wasn't going to win if he just stays there and shoot fire at them. He needed a new plan. So he took flight and roared once more. As ordered, Demi kept his shield up. He won't be able to hold it forever but it might be just enough for the Wizardmon and Sorcerymon to do something. It was now that Desmond realized something. All this roaring, was it to call for help? To be honest, the blond tamer was already afraid, he wasn't going to deny that.
"Demi, stand your ground." His voice shaking a bit. That was pretty much all he could do. Stand and wait.

Kazu, or rather, Sorcermon had a plan. In this form, his new abilities just seemed to be almost entirely instinct. It was insane to think about, but now was not the time to waste idly on dwelling on questions that no one likely had answers to. Combat was combat and he was more than ready to take on this threat that was ready to harm his new friends and even both of his selves. The frozen shield he had made was falling, and it seemed like his other half was realizing that. They couldn't stay here forever, nor did either of them intend to. Desmond was getting increasingly worried and that just simply wouldn't do.
Once the shield of his fell, Sorcermon quickly raised his staff at the exact same time that Wizardmon did. Their large burning metal friend was having trouble hitting him, but he certainly seemed tanky enough to withstand the damage. Did fire even hurt a massive man like himself? Sorcermon didn't question it too much just putting his face in Desmond's partner. Glancing over at Wizardmon, he spoke. "You ready for this?"
Wizardmon laughed in response, a wild grin spreading across his face. Eyes metaphorically ablaze with energy, bouncing on his feet as he stared up at the dragon soaring above their heads. "You bet. Just watch." Staff raised, three small flames suddenly flared into existence, circling the staff's sun-like top. "Flame Wisps!" He shouted loudly as the trio of projectiles suddenly took to the skies, launching straight towards the Coredramon that was consistently roaring.
The flying dragon Digimon wasn't expecting any actual combat at all. With just two humans and a measly DemiMeramon, it should have been easy. And now that DemiMeramon somehow Digivolved with the help of that human, and the other human was gone, replaced with two more Digimon. It wasn't turning out in his favor, even remotely. Still, his pride was wounded. Determined not to become any more of a laughing stock, the Coredramon suddenly curved its wings, dropping down out of the sky.
The flame wisps hit him directly on, meeting them face first as he fell down towards them. It stung pretty badly, but not enough to diffuse his rage. Roaring once more, he opened his mouth wide to bare his sharp teeth. Clearly, he was intending to just bite into one of them and tear them apart limb from limb. Ranged attacks just weren't working, and in spite of the numbers, the two wizard Digimon still appeared weaker than the larger one.
Wizardmon was all too eager to leap into action, it's staff flaring up in flames as he swung it around eagerly. However, a hand was gently pressed on his chest as Sorcermon stood forwards. They still didn't know just how strong this beast was. If it was too strong then leaping in to try and win the fight might only end in failure. Wizardmon almost looked disappointed losing the chance to tussle with the dragon but seemed to understand.
"Frost Beam!" Sorcermon shouted as Coredramon came in for the kill. His staff glowed brightly with white light before a ray of ice launched towards the incoming dragon Digimon. Unable to dodge in the middle of its swoop, it took the blast of ice directly at its chest as frost seemed to spread across their body, locking up their movements slightly.
The moment Sorcermon's attack launched, Wizardmon immediately reacted to practically tackle Sorcermon and get him just barely out of the range of those massive jaws. The Coredramon missed them just by inches as their ice-covered wings struggled to make the minute details they were accustomed to using while flying. In fact, their chest slammed into the ground so fast that the dirt began to slide up around them as he skidded to a stop. And yet, he just got right back up and roared even louder this time, seemingly unfazed asides from the ice that cracked across his scales with every move. Thoroughly enraged.
Off in the distance, the ground seemed to shake, and it was getting louder and louder. Something was approaching. Across the long bottom of the canyon, a figure was eventually coming into view. A green dragon Digimon, sprinting directly towards them as the ground shook with every single heavy step. "That's not good" Both Digimon said at once, glancing at MetalMeramon, almost as if asking what they should do.

Desmond couldn't do anything but watch the ongoing battle, powerless. All he really could do was to get out off their way. Clutching his Digivice tightly, he cursed in French and began moving backward while still keeping an eye on his partner and the two Digimon that took Kazu's place. As the Sorcermon rose his staff into the air, the blond tamer didn't exactly hear what he said. His attention went to the Wizardmon for a second and back to the other Digimon. He heard the Wizardmon laughed, well it looked like laughing from where he was. Three fireballs appeared and within a second, they all went flying toward the Coredramon who decided to go back to the ground. Maybe he had a strategy in mind, it was pretty much hard to read any emotion but rage in the Digimon's eyes.
The fight went out as the two mysterious Digimon jumped out of the trajectory of the massive jaw for the blue Coredramon. The MetalMeramon took that chance and dropped his forcefield. He made heavy steps toward the enemy and roar to get his attention. He saw the dragonlike Digimon look at him only to see the bionic fist going straight to his face. The punch impacted hard and the wild Digimon lost balance for a moment. Without letting him recover and the fiery arm of Demi grabbed the Coredramon by the neck and slammed it into the ground. His left hand began spinning at the wrist faster and faster until it went glowing of heat.
The blue dragon was trashing around to escape the MetalMeramon grasp as his eyes widened. He roared one more time trying to escape the fire Digimon's Heated Blade that was coming toward his chest. As the spinning hand got closer and closer, the Coredramon. managed to roll on his left but the blade still managed to hit one of his wings, pinning him on the ground in the process. Screaming in pain, the wild Digimon turned his head to face the MetalMeramon and inhaled air for a second before breathing searing sapphiric flames straight his face. The flames surrounded Desmond's partner head but it wasn't enough to make him move away. His left hand made a large hole in his right wing as the blue flames were still burning. If it weren't for his helmet, he might have been deleted right way.
"Demi!" Desmond then shouted as loud as he could. While his partner didn't seem to be hurt by those sapphiric flames, he knew that he couldn't take it on the head forever. "Let him go!" Demi's head lifted up a bit to look at his tamer would begin pointing on the left. "Get out of that!" The Metal Meramon hand stopped spinning and the massive Digimon rolled on his left size letting the Coredragon stand up and run away. But he didn't escape all the way out. Roaring once more as the ground began to rumble. Another Coredramon? But this one was green and seemed to be slightly bigger by few inches.
The two Coredramon looked at each other for a second. Seeing that the wing of the blue one had a rather big hole in it, it seems that they would have to fight them on the solid ground. Desmond's heart was beating like a drum, while they still the advantage in number, the arrival of the second dragon made him panic. Surely, they weren't going to back down or let them go peacefully. They would have to settle it here and now. "Demi!" The MetalMeramon was now on the ground shaking his head, the blue flames did hurt him after all. "Can you still fight?" It would take a few seconds for his partner to nod slowly and stand up. The blond tamer then looked at the other two Digimon.
Meanwhile, the two Coredramon took a moment to maybe come up with a plan. The tamer and the trio of Digimon needed those precious seconds. "The blue one is hurt, he might not charge at us." Desmond would whisper as he made his way to the Wizardmon and Sorcermon. "You are guys alright, can you fight?" He then asked with concern. The Frenchman's attention kept moving around. He couldn't really think of a sound plan so far. Looking back at his partner that was now standing still and ready for anything, Desmond then looked ate duo. "Do you think that you can separate them?" He asked while still panicking a bit. "Our best chance might be to focus on one at a time..."

Both Sorcermon and Wizardmon were at an entire loss. Neither of them had existed previously, and everything was still impossibly new to them. It was strange, being a part of Kazu but only half of his existence. Regardless, the two were content to work together in this strange new reality that suddenly became real to them. Holding hands, they watched the MetalMeramon pound his fist into the dragon's face, desperately hoping that he would be able to handle their opponent.
The arrival of the second dragon changed things entirely. Neither of them knew much, but they knew their strength wasn't nearly comparable to the three other Digimon before them. Sorcermon took a step back, a nervous look on his face as he weighed their odds. MetalMeramon seemed to take a blast to the face and come out relatively okay, but there was now two enemies. It would be a challenge to handle them both at the same time, let alone survive without a scratch.
When Desmond came to speak to the two of them, Wizardmon was already leaping into action with a plan of his own. A wild laugh echoed out of his mouth, excited beyond measure at the thought of an actual challenge. They were now fighting two instead of one and everything just got a bit more fun. Literally jumping over towards his ally, he was quick to place a glowing red staff against his metal arm. MetalMeramon would, assuming he didn't shy away from the touch, be embraced with an aura of flame that would encompass the already burning creature. "Give them hell, big boy!" Wizardmon said in response, laughing once more as his Fire Enchantment would boost MetalMeramon's power.
Sorcermon was quick to speak, glancing at Desmond as he responded with a very calm sounding voice. "Do not worry. We are fine. I think. I'm not sure how it happened, but we are Kazuki in two forms." He paused in speech, the green Coredramon getting antsy and roaring as a green flame poured out of his mouth and into the sky, clearly trying to intimidate them. Sorcermon instinctively raised his staff, as did Wizardmon from where he stood near their ally. "A diversion would be best. Yes. I... We, we will handle the blue one. As best we can."
Sorcermon whistled loudly, getting the attention of Wizardmon with a wave in response. Quickly running over, he grabbed his other half's arm and practically began dragging him as they both ran in the entirely opposite direction away from everyone else. Hopefully, with the targets separated, the dragons would choose to pick on the weaker one. However, that isn't exactly what happened. The blue Coredramon seemed intent to get revenge for its wing, stomping its feet onto the ground in a blind rage, and the green Coredramon seemed to be eyeing up his new target, almost as if challenging him.
Unsure what else to do, Sorcermon raised his staff as a swirl of cold air assembled in front of him. "Crystal Blast!" He shouted loudly as the cold air formed into a tightly packed orb of ice, launching directly towards the blue dragon Digimon and slammed into the side of their face.
Enraged, the blue Coredramon turned and charged down the two sprite spirits. If the byte-sized morsels were willing to play, he was more than eager to rip them limb from limb until he could devour their data. "What are you doing!?" Wizardmon suddenly shouted, turning to face Sorcermon. "He could totally beat them up! Look at how strong and powerful he was! That wing is bam, broken!"
"Quiet, you. Me. Whatever. We're making it easier on him. Now, run for the hills." With that said, both glanced at the charging, flaming Coredramon before bolting as fast as they could away from the rest of the dangers. Of course, it was only so much time before the dragon caught up.

The MetalMeramon felt his body of flames rise in temperature as the Wizardmon granted him more power. His right arm grew slightly bigger and a fireball appeared into his hand. He roared loudly to break the two Croedramon's morale but it didn't do much if nothing at all. The two dragons Digimon just looked at each other for a second before turning their head back to the four of them. It was clear that they weren't going to let them go anywhere but here. And most likely wouldn't stop until they get deleted. Desmond didn't really want them to be deleted. Sure, they were perhaps evil but that doesn't mean that deserved death. However, a pacifist ending wasn't going to happen this time, they will have to fight. The blond tamer nodded at the two magical Digimon and began running away from the battlefield. Him being in the way would cause nothing but trouble.
Desmond would wait for a bit longer, giving time to the twins to run further away and hopefully bait the blue dragon with them. Meanwhile, Demi was still holding on to his fireball ready to launch at any time now. "Stay put!" His tamer would shout from behind him. Seeing the wild blue Digimon looking at Demi and then the twins with rage as ice impacted into his face, it was certain now that it was going toward the two of them. The Digimon made of fire and steel took a step on the side to let the twins go away from him and his tamer. The green Coredramon also wanted a piece of the Wizardmon and Sorcermon but then saw the fireball coming right as he looked away. Rolling to one side, the wild Digimon dodged the fireball by an inch and was right back on his feet.
"Get the green one!" The blond tamer would shout. "Go get him!" He saw his massive partner nod and start walking at first. He was huge in size but surely not the quicker Digimon in here. The green Coredragon didn't waste time and he began charging at the MetalMeramon. The two of them slammed into each other. The Coredramon headbutted while his opponent went for a left haymaker. Luckily, the punch impacted the body of the green dragon before the headbutt hit his target making it hit on his armored upper body. As the Coredramon got hit, he used that momentum to spin around and hit him with his tail making Demi lose balance for a second and fall on one knee. It was that that moment that the wild Digimon went for a breath of fire.
"Demi! Burn him!" Both Digimon looked at each other and opened their mouth at about the same time. Fire spewed from both of them creating a massive ball of fire between the two. Even from where Desmond was, he could feel the heat from those two fiery attacks. Taking another step back to protect himself from the bright light caused by the fire, the tamer would close one eye and shield his other one with his hand. It seemed that the two Digimon that were still trying to burn one and other were of equal strength. After a second of them breathing fire at each other, Demi was the first to stop and his whole body leaned backward to protect his head as his bionic left arm went to grab the Coredramon's neck hoping to sway him away.
His massive hand grabbed the neck and he slammed it into the ground with all his might. The green Coredramon began scratching the arm with his sharp claws without much success. He began thrashing around to get the MetalMeramon to lose hold of his neck. It would take him a second to finally escape his grasp and spin around for another tailspin hitting the fire Digimon on his side. Desmond's partner would then go for a kick just to gain some distance to get the chance to recover and breath for a little bit. However, the kick wasn't enough as the green Dragon went for a bite which successfully caught his leg. Demi screamed in pain before slamming his right fist on the side of the enemy's face making him open his mouth and tumble behind just to stand back up.
The fight wasn't over yet but both sides were getting tired. Demi was breathing heavily and so was the Coredramon. Desmond felt powerless in this battle. He was about to order his partner to stay back and regain his breath but no words came out. The green Coredramon then roared signaling that he wasn't going to back down anytime soon. The MetalMeramon also roared back to say that he too wasn't going to stop fighting until the very end. The Frenchman hoped that the twins were doing better than they were right now. This is going to get rougher real quick.

The twin sprite spirits were admittedly having a bit of a hard time. Both of them were well aware of their own limitations, being much weaker than this massive dragon that was currently chasing the, down. He was faster than they were, even if he seemed much more at home in the air flying about. Sorcermon was already debating the possibility of another plan as they continued to run, while Wizardmon simply shouted as they ran. "Sorcermon! Slow him down! I got this!"
Trusting in his second half for the brief moment, both Sorcermon and Wizardmon grabbed hands as they quickly turned around and faced the deadliest foe either of them had ever seen up to this point. It was charging directly at them, mouth practically leaking fire as the Coredramon continued its charge. It was only seconds away from them, Sorcermon's dead gaze directly at him as he waited for the perfect moment to fire. If he was close enough, he couldn't dodge the slowing beam of frost.
However, that plan wasn't exactly comfortable with Wizardmon. He quickly yanked the both of them aside the moment the Coredramon intended to snap them up within his jaws. "Are you trying to get us killed?" The fire magician spoke as the dragon Digimon barreled past them for a second, digging its clawed toes into the ground to stop and turn around.
Undeterred by the complaint by Wizardmon, in spite of the fear running through his system, Sorcermon wasted zero time in aiming his staff at their foe. "Frost Beam!" The sorcerous Digimon shouted once more as the ray of frost slammed directly into the side of the Coredramon as it was already gearing up for another charge. The ice from his staff immediately covered over his body, forming frost on every part of his body and making it difficult for him to move.
"Well? You had a plan?" Sorcermon spoke, desperately waiting until he could recast his Cryo-Sphere spell. At the very least, it would protect them entirely for a short while from a beast such as this.
"Yeah! Watch this!" Wizardmon shouted with glee as he literally leaped into action. Holding his staff out ahead of him, his eyes even seemed to shine with flame for a brief moment as a massive ball of fire formed in front of him. "Sun's Fury!" His voice echoed across the bottom of the valley as he yelled as loud as he could. With a wave of his hand, the massive orb was sent careening towards their opponent.
The dragon was starting to wise to their tricks, side-stepping the brunt of the blast but not expecting the attack to strike the ground beside him. The entire ground caught on fire as the entire left half of his body did as well, burning away at him. In spite of the recoil and the potential damage it might have caused he still seemed almost entirely unfazed, just more and more annoyed.
"Heh..." The dragon spoke, grinning almost maniacally as he stared them down, flame pouring out of his mouth. "I could use a good exercise before I eat... Makes me hungrier." Before either of Kazu's selves could react, a searing burst of heat rushed towards them and almost immediately overwhelmed them as flame enveloped everything they could see.
Both halves screamed in pain as Sorcermon desperately attempted to activate his Cryo-Sphere once more. Nothing could be done as the fire eventually subsided, both of them worse for wear as they stared in terror at the dragon before them. Wizardmon had just barely attempted to try and take most of the blast to protect Sorcermon, assuming his own fiery nature could protect him at least a little, but it didn't help at all. If they didn't do anything soon... They were going to be literally toast.
