"Ahaha...I know what burnt macaroni tastes like." Anzu began. "Mostly because I burnt it on accident myself. I'm a genius, though, so I can still eat it." She could definitely see some common ground here with Tohru--especially considering that the two had similar occupations nowadays. Anzu taking care of Akemi, Tohru taking care of Simba and the very shaky Talia...
...Wait, what. Akemi herself felt like something was off--but she wasn't quite able to pick up on what just yet. "Maybe one day." She replied to Talia, before she actually let out a chuckle! "Maybe they really were friends with Anzu--she won't shut up either. She was engrossed by the petting to the point where she barely noticed Talia falling back and being caught by Tohru, the teenager stepping over (quickly) to make sure the other human was okay.
"Yeah, I guess an explanation would definitely ease confusion, y'know?" Anzu nodded, hovering near her tamer. "So, what's the big deal here?"

“But how do you make it edible then? Also what’s a g-genius?” Simba had no idea what the word meant, but it had such a ring to it that it fascinated him. “Well, burnt food doesn’t taste very good anyway unless its marshmallows!” But then again that wasn’t really what he would consider burnt. “Oooh, I learned how to breathe fire recently, wanna see?” He looked around for a pile of wood that could potentially be used as fodder, not want to set a whole tree or forest on fire of course. “Be careful though, Simba!” Hopefully the ground below didn’t have some secret stash of gasoline that would explode if it got too hot. “I will! Let's go find some campfire wood.”
Tohru sighed while holding back the woman. “Well, we didn’t want too many people to know about it but these things can’t be helped sometimes I suppose.” The rabbit gently set the woman down. “Not long ago we were investigating a case that turned out to have been started by a corrupt digimon - and in between the fight, Talia was mortally injured with the only way to save her being doing a body switch, which the twin of the corrupted digimon did. And afterwards everything seemed fine but...things upstairs weren’t so great if you catch my drift.”
The rabbit stroked her tamers head. “And now she seems to be splitting from her form physically and mentally, and it's like she doesn’t even want to help herself - it sounds dramatic, but I worry shes going to just one day disappear into formless data if we don’t find a way to treat it soon - that and she cant stay in the human world for more than a few hours without splitting.”

"A genius is someone who's smart enough to know how to make it edible." Anzu explained, quite calmly. "I think it's a matter of perspective on how it'd taste, but I'd be happy to see you breath fire."
Akemi didn't have much to input on the subject of fire, she was more concerned about Talia just...up and collapsing all of a sudden. "I can imagine that things wouldn't turn out fine after a while...It's switching bodies with a digimon while you're a human. There's probably enough differences there that any aspiring student in this world can write up an entire thesis on it. Um...Honestly, it shouldn't matter if she wants to help herself or not, she NEEDS to find someone to fix this stuff..."
However.
"...But where do you even find someone to help with something like this?"

“I’m not very good at it yet but maybe one day I’ll be!” Simba always heard stories of the scaled residents that called the valley of dragons home but had yet to get a chance to visit there. If he did, could he learn more about his kind and in turn learn about how to hone the abilities that made him what he was? “Don’t worry about carrying any firewood by the way, you can just put it on my back.” He’d have felt bad if the small bean tried to carry something that was too heavy for her. Not that he would assume she couldn’t because of her size or gender but the dragon was a bit too polite to be the type to ask for someone’s help on a task that he’d initiated. “How about you? Besides building Anzutopia, do you have any cool skills?”Tohru agreed wholeheartedly with Akemi’s opinion but for as long as she’d been with her tamer she’d come to realize that it was next to impossible to get Talia to do anything she didn’t want to do. “I know it sounds lazy but with this human that’s much easier said than done.” After all it was the same girl who stayed up until 5am with a pot of coffee hunting cyber criminals and who’d slept on the floor in her cubicle in the programming department at Overlord. “That’s a...good question. What if...Anzu and Simba and myself go check the nearest village for at least a temporary fix and you watch over her here?” The rabbit turned a bit red, feeling a bit embarrassed that their dirty laundry was known to someone. “Sorry again for burdening you guys, I didn’t expect this to happen like it did.” She definitely had to repay them somehow for getting dragged into it. "I wasn't really worried about carrying that stuff in the first place. I'm strong, I can carry stuff just fine! Anyways," Anzu began. "I'm good at building Anzutopia, sure, but I'm also really good at magic. Like, super good. I blow up houses with my magic! It's pretty cool, right?" She was silently hoping that Simba thought the same.
Meanwhile, Tohru laid down a pretty simple plan that just required one thing from her. Watching over a human who was out cold. Alone. "...Wouldn't that just leave me alone here? I appreciate that you trust me with your human but I'm practically defenseless out here..."
Anzu had some concerns, herself. A little bit uncharacteristic of her. "We'd need to move fast in that case. Are you...sure about this, Tohru?"

“Oooh magic? Like a wizard?” He knew there were digimon who could cast spells but had yet to meet one which may or may not have been a good thing. “I blow up houses too! But only in Minecraft!” He wasn’t sure why anyone would ever want to blow up a house, or even that Anzu meant a real one or something else but it was a contemplation that quickly flew over his naive head.
Tohru made a bit of an ‘eep’ sound when she processed Akemis point about leaving her alone out here with no protection. “Hm, well we definitely can’t have that.” She thought for a minute and then her eyes locked onto her brother who had dropped the wood he’d brought in from the woods once he saw a butterfly that looked pretty fun to follow. “Simba!” Her tone wasn’t suggestive but commanding as the dragon turned his head practically standing at attention like a cadet. “You stay here and watch over Akemi and Talia!”
Welp. “M-me?” He flinched and cowered with discomfort overwhelmed at the thought of having such an important and risky responsibility. “I can’t do that! I’m not strong enough. And what if something comes along and I get scared and-” The rabbit ceased her brothers rambing with a brief flick of an ear shushing him as she did so. “How many times have you said that but in the end came through for us? You really should give yourself more credit than you do, kiddo.” That and after the accident he’d said he’d make sure nothing like ever happened again. “I guess...I-I’ll try my best!” The rabbit patted her brothers head. “Definitely! Your tamer is in good hands.” But was she? Simba was still unsure of himself but he knew at the same time he didn’t have a choice since Tohru wasn’t going to change her mind - did she ever lets be real? “Do either of you know where the nearest village is from here?”
If the rabbit and purple hamster did go off, Simba would sit stiff as a board looking out at the surrounding woods turning his head at the slightest sound. “Don’t worry miss Akemi! I’m super strong.” Padding over to the sleeping form of his human Simba licked her cheek, sinking onto his hindquarters while looking down at her. “Do you think she’ll wake up soon?”

"Something like that, yeah. Uh...What the heck's a Minecraft?" Anzu had just unironically asked the stupidest question that anyone could feasibly ask in the world. Not that it wasn't a good one, she had no idea what the game was, or what it entailed. Akemi meanwhile felt like she was melting a little at Tohru's eep.
Seriously, it was adorable. Tohru did come to the conclusion to leave Simba on guard duty, though. That was a good call, at least Akemi had thought it was. "Calm down, I'm pretty sure you'll do just fine." She told the BaoHuckmon in an attempt to reassure him as Tohru had been doing. Anzu looked to Tohru before she put her paws to her chin. "Ehhh...There should be one that's a few minutes from here. It's been a while since I've been here, though..." She began to fly off in a particular direction. Northwest.
Would Tohru follow?
Meanwhile, Akemi moved to sit next to the sleeping Talia, before she glanced up to Simba and adjusted her hat. "I...Hm. Tough question. I hope she does wake up soon, but not before we can get her some help with this...condition. I feel if she were actually awake when we got the help she'd just refuse it from what Tohru said..."

“It’s a video game where you use blocks to build things and places, I’ll show it to you sometime!” He didn’t know if the purple guinea pig would like it but the dragon loved showing things he liked to other people because if he liked and it was fun, why wouldn’t they? Even at champion level, thinking in between black and white wasn’t always within the dragon’s infantile cognition. “Right! I promise I won’t get scared.” He had to be strong for the humans, they needed his help after all! Not that he saw them as weak and useless, but they couldn’t breathe fire to defend themselves like he could! Humans just weren’t a compatible match by themselves against a digimon. “Lead the way, lady.” Anzu seemed to know the area better than she did so she followed without question which almost seemed to be out of character for the rabbit who enjoyed being in charge. Taking care of the sickly (and increasingly codependent) Talia was apt to wear you out however so it was a welcome change. “Directions aren’t always my forte.” Maybe not in the map sense anway. “But I do have a pretty good nose that can pick up a scent, and my ears too!” Hmm, what did villages smell like? Most likely...smoke and maybe laundry soap right? And the sound of running water… ”I think you’ve got us in the right way though! The sounds and smells are getting stronger.”
The dragon made a bit of a sad expression in response to Akemi’s words knowing they were all too true. “Yeah, she’s not handling this change all that well. I don’t know if I would either.” Or would he? The outlook of a digimon never seemed to be as complex as that of a humans. “I think if I had to get a new body I would want to maybe be a squirrel! So I could climb trees, or maybe as a cat, so I can land on my feet all the time!” He kept sitting by the out cold girl, watching her stir as he wondered if his talking was disturbing her but she still seemed to be unconscious. “It’s why I’ve a promise to be more brave! See, when we first got to the digital world there was an instance where a group of bug digimon tried to attack us and I got scared and we almost got in trouble cause of it, so I decided from there on I would be try to be less afraid. It’s hard though...lots of spooky things in the digital world.”

That sounded awfully simple for a video game...Which, as it turns out, was something Anzu found refreshing. She nodded towards Simba a few times before she proceeded to lead Tohru in the direction of the nearest village. Now, Anzu may have been a centuries old entity but knowledge could sometimes be dated. Which leads to this question.
Would the village still be there? She had a feeling it was, given what Tohru just said. "The smells getting stronger is a good thing. I had been worried that this village had been relocated or...well, abandoned. That being said, I'll lead the way alright!" The bean smirked!
Meanwhile, back with Akemi and Simba? The girl snickered a little at the dragon's thoughts. "I don't know what I'd want to come back as if humans could do that. Maybe I'd just settle with being myself?" She shrugged. The talk about what happened during the trio's first trip to this world ended up...putting one hell of an unsettled expression on Akemi's face.
"...Yeah. There are. Uh...I'm not gonna say what happened the first time I came here, but...It w-...It's the kind of thing I still have nightmares about sometimes. It did lead me to making a resolve to get stronger, though. And to help Anzu get tougher, too..."
