The Undying was called the Undying for a reason. For though Arcadia was now a mere spirit, she was still strong enough to be a pest. Mao herself was not stupid, too. Despite the strength of this spirit, she had to make sure not to screw up in this fight. As the adornment was flung up to a wall, she made note of that.
It was probably going to do something. Then, when the Argomon proper threw himself at her, she went for a rather risky maneuver. One that would definitely mean massive damage if it did not work. She tried to grab the Argomon with one of those big, gnarly hands of hers, and hurl it for the wall with the adornment.
Hopefully specifically -at- the adornment, but as close as she could. It was an attempt, of course.
Mao tries to throw the suicidal puppet at the seed. If she fails, she'll end up taking the brunt of the explosion.

In retrospect, you kinda have to be one crazy person to try and chuck a live suicide bomb running away from you... but when one has as strong regenerative abilities as this Champion level, such risks could be afforded to be taken. A risk that was at least worth somewhat something in the end, with the explosive puppet managed to be tossed away in a manner that the full brunt of the blast would be at least avoided as it detonated shortly after.
The seed that had been shot into the wall prior had without interruptions grown into a mess of vines... one that very shortly after had the torso of the Argomon protruding from the mass, he letting out a disgruntled sound. Damn it... Sure he avoided that last attack, but he was in no position to move right now! Why can't legs grow faster?
Akari herself was just in the sidelines of the heated battle... She honestly couldn't tear her eyes from it. This really was a battle, wasn't it? An anime-esque fight between two monsters... Was four-eyes even in there with the one with the gross yaoi hands? For once, she kinda hoped so.
The hapless Spirit Wielder stuck to the wall gritted his teeth. Bastard bitch wasn't going to take him down... He'll take all those spirits, one way or another! Data poured in his hands as he unleashed a pulse of a strange type of energy, the air in the surrounding area growing distorted.
That regeneration that naturally was patching up the Arkadimon? She'd suddenly feel it stop... and not even seconds later, a feeling of pain as her data began to literally eat itself. Whatever Argomon had done just now had seemed to turn the regenerative effect inside out!
The Proxy Seed shell was tossed away, but exploded before it could reach the seed (most of the blast at least avoided). Argomon has used Anti Polarize, reversing the effects of all passives in the area!
Anti Polarize - Argomon creates a distorting pulse of data that messes with the kernel programs of all Digimon in the area briefly, causing them to function strangely. For three turns, all passives have their effects reversed. (Cooldown: 3 Turns)

That tactic didn't really do much. Nor did it quite save Mao from the blast. No matter. It would do. It would all do. ...Hey...He's stuck there...You should crush him! Crush! Brea-
The spirit was cut off by Argomon's data pulse. Within moments, Mao could hear the spirit whimpering as -pain- overtook her. Unfortunately for the Argomon?
Mao operated off of pain. This line of work? It was one of the most fucking brutal things she had ever gotten sucked into. She had come out of that mission with the monkeys with no small amount of bruises and burns. Yet she was still kicking, wasn't she? This guy was not about to change that.
The Arkadimon did not let out words. It merely let out a savage roar as it leapt up to try pinning the Argomon to the wall, the tendrils coming out to try impaling him once more. Well, it's more like skewer at this point. The other hand of the bewitching beast slammed itself into the wall to support it.
Arkadimon starts to eat itself after getting kinda toasty. It responds by leaping at Argomon and attempting to use Snatch Whip again.
Oh, yeah, it's been two turns since then. I forgot to put that down for a cooldown, sorry.
Snatch Whip: Arkadimon attempts to grapple its opponent with one of, or both of its hands before trying to impale it with the tendrils located on its arms. If successful, it will leech data off of the opponent, healing it by 10%. Two turn cooldown.

The Argomon spirit wielder was really being put to his limits here, with he struggling to keep up with Mao's combat experience. Unfortunately for him, he had yet to really face an opponent who could actually fight back. Even with turning the Bewitching Beast Digimon's regeneration on its head, it felt as if he was only slowing her down slightly.
Honestly, he was starting to debate if bailing was the way to go now. He hated the mere idea that he was starting to lose to some nobody-bitch, but this fight was going nowhere for him. As he managed to pry himself off the wall, the plant demon man was intending to perhaps try and put some distance between himself and Mao...
An angry Arkadimon was faster though. The human hybrid felt himself pinned to the wall as he was stabbed into once again, he screeching in pain.
Fuck running... He wasn't gonna lose to some chick that was over her head! While he was unable to move, his vines wriggled unpredictably before slicing at Mao's flesh... distilling an electric charge as the red talons slashed into her.
He was honestly getting desperate... Why didn't this bitch die already?!
Argomon was pinned and pierced into by Snatch Whip. He retaliated with Hypnos Claw.
Hypnos Claw - An electrically-charged melee attack utilizing his vines or claws to slash into a foe. Is particularly effective against water-affinity Digimon.

The Arkadimon had life in her grip. Every bit of jolting pain (that had diminished in the last few seconds, in truth) spurred the girl onwards. Every pang of pain from her own data starting to decay only infuriated the beast further. Arkadimon's grip tightened as the vines sliced into her, her wounds being seared shut thanks to the electricity more or less cauterizing them. It didn't stop them from hurting like hell, though. Somehow, Mao wondered if this is what dying felt like.
It also had the side-effect of leaving red marks against the gray monster's skin. "Wrong move." Was all it said as it craned it's head. The wall was far too high up. Far higher than this trash deserved. The Arkadimon aimed to slam the Argomon into the wall once, before aiming to follow that up by leaping off and slamming him into the pavement. Repeatedly. It'd honestly be like watching a scene from Alien mixed with another horror movie to a bystander.
Or watching a monster be overwhelmed by a bigger and worse monster that was also dying with each passing moment. But Mao Kita didn't care. She just wanted to rip the wings off of this butterfly.
Mao is hit by Hypnos Claw. Elimination Line's effect has ended. Degeneration also causes the decay Arkadimon is suffering to further worsen. She responds by attempting to slam Argomon into the wall. Then into the ground. A lot.

Honestly, the Argomon had not expected this to turn out the way it was going. A simple ambush had turned sour quick... if he had only kept the girl from Spirit Digivolving like he had originally intended, this would have been a cinch! But right now he was unable to move, and while he did manage to slice into the beast's flesh... Was it able to slow her down even slight?
No.
He was unceremoniously smashed into stone repeatedly, each time he coughing out a bit of digital blood. Only after the initial assault was he finally able to get his bearings on his surroundings... He weakly raising a hand at the Arkadimon. "... Tch... I-I... I surrender... J-Just let me go man." the Spirit Wielder weakly spoke, trying to catch his breath. His ribs were probably broken at this point... but he had least an ace in his sleeve. Moment this chick lets her guard down, he'd bounce back... He was positive! No one messed with him and got away with it!
Akari was not so sure that mercy was quite on Mao's menu... Was that seriously Mao though? She might have to rethink her previous opinion of four-eyes at this point, less she wanted to also be turned into a bloody pulp. At least it was him and not her...
Argomon was bashed into his surroundings like a ragdoll repeatedly, he attempting to call for mercy.

This -pain- only drove the Arkadimon to continue smashing this monster into the pavement. There was a brief pause, though. Was this idiot actually deciding to surrender? Like hell she was going to let him go. "Hmmmm." The monster leaned in, her forehead starting to glow.
"I'm gonna make this look worse than China in World War II." The beast hissed as she fired a Cursed Vision down at the Argomon. It was aimed for his core. Mercy was never an option, sadly.
No, wait, not sadly. Screw this guy! The worst part about all of this was that Mao did all of this without even blinking an eye.
Arkadimon gives no chance at all and fires another Cursed Vision.

The sympathy card was something that the Spirit Wielder was honestly hoping would work... Most of these schmucks with Digivices were pretty much a bunch of fools! This girl though...? Even though his eyes were obscured, you could practically see how he was basically quivering seeing the Arkadimon's slit eye glow.
Well, at least it was quick.
The Argomon's body basically vaporized to data instantly... He legit didn't even get a chance to scream or try and get one last word. All that he was able to mutter was a gurgled, pained sound as his body was destroyed... leaving behind a now shattered green D-Tector on the ground.
Akari was to say the least mortified... Did four-eyes really just do that? She actually killed him, didn't she? Not even a corpse left behind... Jesus. Guess that least meant it was way harder to get pinned down for murder, right? She was legit wrong about Mao... If that WAS Mao.
The blonde-haired girl came out of her cover apprehensively... staring at the injured abomination head-on. It wasn't like she could probably run... She was still trying to catch her breath from her own injury.
Argomon was deleted. Fight over.

The Arkadimon left nothing behind. It let out a roar as it promptly dissipated, a...pretty injured Mao being left in her place. Her arms had at least scabbed over, but her jacket was ruined. Plus, her legs looked like a mess to put it simply. She stared at the green D-Tector.
"...That...That was a...h-human..." She muttered. Oh god, did she just commit murder? A bad human! Arcadia chimed in. In the eyes of the roach? He was asking for it. Mao herself looked just as mortified, and unaware that Akari was still there. She had assumed she had ran off in the ensuing chaos, but she then noticed the girl was, in fact, right there.
In front of her.
Mao said nothing. She saw all of that. She looked a little too shaken for words.

Akari had been quiet as she saw the beast seem to... absorb the strange particles that once was that demon man, but soon enough their form dissipated and left behind their more familiar-looking shape... battered and bruised, but alive.
Emotionally shaken, but alive. That honestly was all Akari could ask for at this point... Mao killed a man, outright seemingly shocked that was a human... Was the vine man actually human? He mentioned something about Spirit Wielders, but Akari didn't have any clue as to just what that meant. Nonetheless, Mao seemed absolutely broken at such a revelation.
For maybe the first time, Akari showed genuine pity and remorse for the glasses-wearing dork. Nothing she could have done in the past could have amounted to what Mao just went through...
With a somewhat pained look, Akari stepped forward as she leaned down to take a seat by the orange-haired girl... Her shoulder was bloodied some from where that bastard knicked her and sore, but it least wasn't as bad as what Mao went through. "... I don't know what to say really." the girl spoke, exhaling out a somewhat pained breath as she gazed at Mao. "... You look like a wreck four-eyes... Can you stand up?" she ended up saying, though unlike other times before... the moniker was said with an inflection that was born more out of worry.

Mao was not really capable of standing up. So she shook her head. As much as she didn't want to accept Akari's help, she didn't want to stay here. "T-Then don't...say anything. I...I think I can stand but not for long. Asshole got my legs--and that form's regeneration didn't take care of that."
"...Sorry you had to see that." Mao muttered, taking her jacket off to get a better look at what she was dealing with. It...didn't seem like anything she couldn't just patch up. Especially with her sister's help. "...He didn't hurt you too badly, right? The others got...flung over the wall last I remembered..."

Mao honestly looked awful... Not from a beauty standpoint, but from a physically well standpoint. That fight looked absolutely awful... Painful to say the least. Guess it wasn't a surprise that Mao couldn't really stand up properly. "Shit... I guess whatever the hell that was back there you did isn't a solve-all solution, huh?"
It was an odd feeling... Any contempt perhaps earlier had faded. Yeah she was a major asshole to Mao in the past... but damn it, she wasn't as much of a cold-hearted bitch to act rude to someone who was not only very injured, but also was in a way her savior. If anything, she was surprised Mao wasn't acting completely hostilely to her. "I'm fine. Just gotta get home and gauze that shit up." she ended up responding, wincing at her own cut. Blood just... upset her stomach. Not as much as those so-called "friends" of hers. She was willing to be ten thousand yen those shits ran off in an instant. "Yeah, but I'm not surprised though they haven't even bother trying to come back to help. Fuckin' bitches left us for dead with that psycho."
Regardless... they needed to get out of here. This was no place to be sitting around at night, and someone was bound to come here now with all that noise they just made. Akari took an arm and got it underneath Mao's armpit, managing to help lift her up... Even if they could just limp on one leg, that would have been good enough. "C'mon. My family's house is not too far from here. Once we get out of here, we can go take a taxi there and see if we can get you looking presentable." the girl spoke, hoping to try and get Mao moving.

"Not near the end...He did something. Instead of healing I started hurting. Felt like I was eating myself away. Like flesh-eating bacteria." Mao explained. The fact they were effectively left for dead by Akari's poor choices of friends was unsurprising. "Typical..." The girl murmured as she proceeded to accept Akari's help and get up. She was limping, but she was up.
"Hope the taxi isn't gonna ask questions or anything..." Mao murmured, looking at the broken D-Tector with nothing more than...disdain. Mao was hoping that the walk back to somewhere that wasn't here didn't take that long. Or put them in the path of another psycho.
Now that would be terrible.

Yick... Akari wasn't even sure how you could describe eating yourself alive. God, that sounded like some goddamn science fiction nightmare fuel. It just sounded awful... She didn't like Mao much, but she wouldn't have wished for something like that! Fortunately, they at least were able to get up. With her spare hand, Akari began to call up the local taxi service. "Eh, don't worry about it. Throw enough money at people and they'll keep their mouths shut." the girl spoke as she put the phone up to her ear. "Yes? Hello. I need a taxi at the Entertainment District. Yes, that one. Look, I have a girl with a broken leg, okay? Just get your ass over here, STAT."
God, she hated people.
Soon enough, the two girls were able to limp out of the work-in-progress sector of Downtown Shibuya... not much word was exchanged as they managed to get into the impromptu taxi besides Akari telling the man where to go. Sure enough at least, it WAS a short drive.
As the vehicle came to a stop at a fairly modest-looking home in a fairly clean-looking neighborhood. Managing to pull the orange-haired girl out, as their ride drove off Akari gazed at Mao with a somewhat apprehensive look. "... Look, feel free to stay quiet about it... but I do wanna know what the hell happened back there. Who... What was that guy? A-and what were you back there?"

"That stuff really does make the world go round, doesn't it?" Mao had to force herself to laugh at her own joke before she shut up so that Akari could call their ride out of here. If there was anything to sympathize with? Mao didn't like talking to people sometimes too. She never could understand why.
Maybe that's why all that stuff happened--people were strange. Regardless...Mao wanted to stay quiet. But at the same time, that would make more questions. "...That guy was, for all I know, a terrible person."
Vile. I think crushing him was a good call! Arcadia's voice was no longer pained. It was calm again. "He and I could do the same thing. It's a long story but I wound up...finding an otherworldly place and getting the power to turn into monsters. I-It's bullshit, I know, but that's the only way I can really explain it..."
That was going to be a long one to explain.
