Well, this is an interesting forum. I like the Digimon franchise, I especially like roleplaying. It's a good fit, really.
I remember hearing about the Digimon franchise back when I first played the old Flash games on the now defunct Fox Kids website. (Rest in spaget, Fox Kids. May we never forget.)
There was the one based on the second act of the movie (aka Digimon Adventure: Our Wars Games)
I also played this RPG-esque game based on the third season, Digimon Tamers, where you walk around as Takato and fight some bad Digimon using his Guilmon.
After that and watching an old online preview of Digimon Frontier, I haven't heard back from the franchise for a while...
...Until I got DVDs of the Latin America dub of Digimon Adventure. It contains the first episodes of the anime. Covering from the beginning up to the point where they confronted this giant yellow teddy bear Digimon?
Like I kind of forgot the name of that one? I don't know? Look, I was more of a Pokemon guy growing up. I can't seem to memorize ALL of the Digimon (especially the more obscure ones) at the time, and even today.
Oh yeah, I also used to have owned a Latin American dub of the Digimon movie. Which I heard it butchered and cropped three individual Digimon movies (The Digimon Adventure prologue movie, the aforementioned Our War Games, and the Digimon Adventure 02 movie.)
But little me didn't knew of that at the time! Little me used to have thought those three movies were like, this one whole movie.
Anyway...
So the Digimon franchise fell off of my radar...again. Again, was more of a Pokemon guy.
But I eventually heard of Digimon: Data Squad (aka Savers) by this point. And I did got to play Digimon World DS and World Dawn, which I thought they were neat RPGs.
Oh yeah, I also played the original Digimon World and Digimon Rumble Arena 1 and 2 as well...also Digimon World: Data Squad. A game on the PS2 I never got to complete.
I think it is by here that I *finally* gave the anime a chance, I got to see most of the first four seasons and some of Data Squad/Savers and well, you know, the rest was all history.
Apologies to everyone, I haven't seen Xros Wars/Fusion, Appli Monsters or Adventure 03 at the time of this writting.
Aaand this overly long, ridiculously silly but amusing backstory of sixteen paragraphs is what brought me here today.
...Wait, did I forgot to say "hi" to everyone...?
. . . .
Aw, cra---
