Skye felt the need to raise her eyebrow here at how far Shoutmon was pushing this point along. "I haven't heard of Tamernet, no" she admitted. The next few moments made her feel the need to exactly figure out what this guy's deal was though. "You... really don't like this other Shoutmon do you?" she asked, her blue eyes arranged with a look of concern. "If so, that's fine, but... if I can be frank, if you feel that way, I'd prefer you didn't talk about him any more, frankly there's enough negative feelings floating around the digital world".
For the next few moments she would snack on more of these delicious oysters, until they all seemed to run out. But that wasn't long followed by the main course being served, a delicious looking fillet of fish. Skye delightedly seasoned it before beginning to eat it. That quickly drained any negative feelings she had thus far.
"Oh wow, knew this place was a winner!" she exclaimed after swallowing a mouthful of delicious fresh salty fish. She then realized something Shoutmon mentioned before. "So... this Tamernet. Just wondering, how would I sign up for it?" she asked, tilting her head. "I mean... I do have a D-Terminal, from when I got my Armor Champion level... but, it's been something of a thing that I've heard of but never managed to connect up to".
Skye would eat a bit more as Shoutmon told her what the Digital Field Club was. That immediately piqued her interest. "Hmm... you know I wouldn't mind meeting up with them either" the Gatomon admitted.
As the meal continued, Skye noticed that Shoutmon really seemed to be paying a lot of attention to her. His expression, his mannerisms, he... really did seem to like her. And, if Skye was honest, she found him pretty easy on the eye herself. That and the fact that he'd been through a lot, same as her. Well, given that they had eaten a lovely meal together with no dealbreakers so far, the Gatomon felt that maybe this could amount to something?
Then Shoutmon made a proposal, offering to introduce her to his human partner. "Oh... really?" Skye asked, a little nervously. But... if the first human she met was Shoutmon's partner and a friend of Owen, well, maybe that could be okay? "Well... I think I'd be fine with that" she admitted, continuing to eat her fish fillet. Meanwhile she thought that it'd be neat to introduce Shoutmon to Hickory and Jorge. "I'm happy to make a follow up to this if you are" she finished, smiling.

Shoutmon's eyes widened when Skye asked if he didn't like the Shoutmon that he had been talking about. Had he really been giving off that impression the whole time? Geez, looks like Omni's hateful influence still haunted Shoutmon's mind. "Oh, no no no no! I don't hate him at all! I actually consider him a really good friend. I just love to make fun of him from time to time." Shoutmon sweatdropped; it all went south so fast.
So he just decided to go back to the food for a bit. And after eating some of his dish, Shoutmon absolutely agreed with Skye. "Heck yeah! This is the best fish I think I've ever had! ...probably the only fish I've ever had, too. Unless takoyaki and sushi count as fish?" Hopefully that didn't sound too dumb.
Shoutmon perked his head up when Skye asked how someone would sign up for Tamernet. "Oh, it's easy! The D-Terminal has an icon on it that'll take you directly to Tamernet. From there you just pick a screen name, upload a profile picture and boom! You're even more connected to humans and other Digimon."
The red dragon Digimon was happy when Skye agreed to arrange a meetup with their friends at some point in the future. "Yeah, that'd be great, Skye. I think you'd really like Adrian. He's like a friend to all Digimon, as long as they don't try and hurt his other friends, of course. I'd also really like to meet your friends as well."
At this point, Shoutmon was doubting whether or not he'd actually tell Skye about his past. She seemed like a no nonsense, pure good kind of Digimon. Would she desert him if she found out about Omni...?

Skye was at least relieved to hear that this little dispute was most likely down to nothing more than a friendly rivalry than genuine emnity. She had mainly thought that because Shoutmon had brought up the subject and pointed out the other's flaws that he had a genuine problem with him. "I see, well, I've never met this other Shoutmon, so, I'm afraid that kind of humour is lost on me" she said after finishing the last of her share of oysters, hopefully leaving the matter at rest there.
The Gatomon smiled as it seemed they were agreed upon that the food was excellent. "Hmm... I've heard of Takoyaki and Sushi but I've never actually tasted them, admittedly" she said. "To be honest, I'm not really much of a connoisseur for fish, just, growing up in Luminas, and before that, I spent most of my time in the Western Flatlands... not much opportunity for seafood there. Yet I really do like it where I can get it".
Skye was attentive at his explanation of Tamernet. Since Skye did have a digimental - that of Responsibility, she was aware of the device. She materialized it in her paw. "I see... so..." she would explore the options of the device, showing it to Shoutmon when she was uncertain. She selected her username as 'SkyeGato', thinking of no better options, but needed a bit of help from Shoutmon with a profile picture. That was a bit of a farce in itself.
"So... I hold the D-Terminal up like this and it'll take my picture, right?" she asked at one point, trying it out. "Did that work...?" she then realized she had it the wrong way around. "Oh... I've taken a picture of you" she admitted, blushing. "So... other way around, uh..." she could no longer see the screen. "Shoutmon, could you please tell me if it's got the right angle?" she asked, trying not to make her face too awkward. It was all a little embarrassing, especially since she was exposing herself as being somewhat technologically illiterate.
Well, hopefully Shoutmon would direct her into making a good enough profile picture for her new tamernet profile. If he did, she'd be most grateful.
After that, Skye hoped that her first meeting with a human would work nicely. Especially since she seemed to have an acquaintance to introduce her. "Ah, I hope so too. Don't worry, I hope never to hurt anyone..." although an event in the Village of Beginnings that proved to be false, although she didn't want to bring that up here, not tonight. She wanted to forget all that for the moment.
For now, Skye would eat the rest of her fish, trying not to think about the things that had happened that day, when she first got her digimental. Yet, it seemed that somehow both of them had stories that they might prefer to keep hidden.

"Oh, you're from Luminas? That city of pure good?" Shoutmon asked, raising his eyebrow a bit. "I'm not a "city Digimon" by any means, myself. I come from a small village called Frontier Village. It was nothing fancy or anything, just a bunch of houses and huts in one small area. But still, it was a nice place."
Alright, now was time to help Skye out with her Tamernet profile creation. She managed to set up most of it, even giving herself an... okay username. Now she had to choose a profile picture, which she chose to just take a photo of herself. She held the D-Terminal in front of her to take a 'selfie,' but before Shoutmon could let her know that she was holding it the wrong way, she took a picture of Shoutmon. "Well... at least you got a picture of me to swoon over later," he joked. Afterwards he helped Skye get the perfect angle of her self-portrait, and even went the extra step as to take the picture for her. "There ya go, profile picture set and done!"
After that little event, Shoutmon couldn't help but laugh a little, it was funny seeing a Digimon like Skye act like this. "I can see that technology isn't one of your strong suits. It wasn't one of mine either, but I picked it up after watching other humans use their tech devices. It may be just because I'm a quick learner, though."
As the two of them continued eating, Shoutmon spoke up once again. "You know, tonight's been a pretty good night for me. Thanks to you, I... I feel a hell of a lot better about myself. Do you want to go do something else after dinner? There's a karaoke bar just around the corner I think, if you're into that kinda thing."

Skye took note of the raised eyebrow and nodded. "Yeah, that's right... suffice to say, I didn't really fit in there" she scowled. "Follow the light and obey the law, they say up there. In the end I couldn't stand their corrupt methods. I lived on the streets while I was there, then I ditched it first moment I could". And frankly Skye wasn't keen on returning any time soon.
But the Gatomon cast those thoughts aside as Shoutmon returned with information of his origins. "Lot of Frontier Villages around, but, I get where you come from. Nice to know".
With the mess over the D-Terminal, Skye found herself both simultaneously sneering and blushing at Shoutmon's comment as her attempt at a selfie backfired. But for the moment she was keen to make it work. Eventually she entrusted Shoutmon to aim her D-Terminal to take a good profile picture of her. When he returned it, she finalized it and thus the profile was complete.
"Whew, okay, this all looks in order I guess" Skye said, smiling at the finished result. She looked back at Shoutmon and acknowledged his words. "Indeed, there's a lot of new things happening in the digital world. Hopefully I'll be prepared for it". It was then that she realized a lot of the new things going on was related to humans. And so far, her closest link to a human was Shoutmon. Hm. Perhaps this was a friendship she should keep strong?
Skye would then finish her fish and oysters, then look up as Shoutmon said further thoughts. Apparently he rather enjoyed his time with her. And, if she was honest, she kind of enjoyed his company as well.
"No problem. You're not bad company either, Shoutmon" Skye said, her face pleasant as she said so. Then he suggested they might do something else after this. Curious, she'd listen, then blink. "Karaoke? I admit I'm not familiar with that. What does that involve?"
Either way, she hoped it would be fun. If it was, it would certainly make her night.
