[FIGHT ME, SHROOM] Mao was at least 95% sure this blind date thing someone signed her up for on Tamernet was a scam, but if it by chance was legit? She was going to use this to get some laughs and probably some cheap entertainment for a bit. After all, why else would she arrive to the beachfront spirit evolved into Snatchmon and wearing a dress? The dress itself was touted to be able to fit on anything. Despite how the alien was built, it...did a good job. Mostly. Digitgrade leg isn't everyone's cup of tea, though. So, Mao didn't blame whoever showed up if they were actually disgusted. Anyways. It was about midday. People were streaming by, and...nobody was showing up that seemed like they were here for the same reason as her. So, Mao decided to take this into her own hands. The Snatchmon inhaled, before she yelled, "HEY, WHO HERE SIGNED UP FOR THAT CRAZY BLIND DATE THING? BECAUSE I'VE BEEN HERE FOR LIKE AN HOUR ALREADY AND IT'S SCORCHING HOT!" Vergil

The message had been a collective one, send to him, and one that surprised him nonetheless. Justice thought he was the last person to get picked for this blind date thing, considering he'd only been on one date his entire life. Part of him didn't want to go because he was afraid that he'll make himself look like a fool, but the other part told him to push on, seeing that it wouldn't be as bad as he was thinking.
A few minutes of walking, Justice met up to the location where the blind date said he would meet him at, sporting light clothing. This was his second time visiting Whitewater City. The last time he was there, he, and a few others were bracing a hurricane. The beach, which had suffered lots of erosion had fully recovered from the aftermath a month ago. Well, the Digital World and the Human World were two different places with their own universal rules, so to them, repairing something like a beach was as easy as programming something on a desktop.
Justice leaned on a railing, logging on Tamernet to see if they ever responded back. He swiped down to the latest messages; nothing as of yet. He sighed, wondering if they were either running late, or forgot about him. He heard someone shouting from below him, saying that they've been waiting for their blind date for an hour. He looked down to see a Digimon wearing... a dress?
"Oh god what the hell is this?" he muttered to himself, his eyes widen as he realized that his date appeared to be a Digimon. He specifically put only humans, not Digimon so what gives? He was lucky that his two Digimon, Vee and Gummy weren't here, as they would have roast his ass to no end. Seeing that there was no way of getting out of this, he decided to roll with it. "Umm... that would be me... I guess?"

"...Hooooly shit, people actually respond to this stuff?" The strange Digimon seemed actually pretty ecstatic at having not been stood up. She sounded pretty human, too, so Justice could probably put out the possibility that his date was, in fact, just a Spirit Wielder.
One with a particularly cruel sense of fashion/humor. "Alright, so let me introduce myself. I'm Mao, Mao Kita. I'm actually only using this in order to hide amongst the local populace." Really. An alien in a dress. Hiding amongst the local populace. Holy crap, this date was already proving to be a disaster.
Mao couldn't help but wonder if that was her own fault. "...So, who're you? And do you wanna do anything in particular...?" The Snatchmon inquired.

Justice had no words. As he approached the Digimon, he only stared at her with disbelief and shock. The dress she was wearing obviously didn't help the situation. He couldn't help that something in the Tamernet goofed on him and paired him with a Digimon instead of a human. Wanting to get his thoughts out of his mind, he cleared his throat.
"I'm... Justice." he responded awkwardly, not looking in her general direction. This was not starting off on the right foot. "But before we do anything, and I mean no offense or anything, but you're a Digimon right? And it said here on Tamernet that you were a human. So...what gives?"
He was completely obvious to the concept of Spirit Users as he never encountered one until now.

"Yes, and also no." A strange answer to what's otherwise a pretty straightfoward question. The alien put a hand on her hip. "So, do you know what a spirit us-...Not user. Er...Do you know what a spirit wielder is? Because I'm going to assume you don't. Basically, humans that got paired with the ghost of a Digimon who are also capable of turning into said Digimon."
...There was another, less esoteric way of explaining this that also sounded just as stupid. "Basically, imagine furries if they could actually become the animal through weird digital stuff. Other than that, despite the form I'm completely human. I...wasn't aware what I was going to get paired up with. So. Snatchmon in a dress."

Justice fell into silence, now that was a comparison he'd though he would never hear. Furries actually becoming the things they actually desire, only with the power to destroy a city. That idea brought out a small chuckle from him. He put a hand on his chin, inspecting Mao. Obviously this wasn't going to fly. If they were gonna make this work, then Mao's gonna have to change back into her regular form.
"I guess that makes two of us then." he replied, scratching his head. "So um... I don't want to sound insistence, if you say that you could change forms, can you change back into a human? I want us to start over and to forget this awkward thing."

"It's a blind date for a reason, I guess. Sorry if I actually scared you or anything." Little did Justice know, this form probably -could- actually fly.
...If it had something to fly on. "Aw, rats, I thought I specifically said in the profile that my one true fear was being found in human form." The alien uttered in a very, painfully obvious joking manner before the alien-in-a-dress was overtaken by a bright, violet light and replaced with a skinny, orange-haired girl.
Who was also pretty much silent for all of five seconds before she uttered a single phrase of greeting. "Sup."

“Hmm? Why’s that?” Justice said to her, tilting his head in confusion. As soon as he said that, Mao was overtaken in a bright, purple light, making him put his arms over his face to shield his eyes. After a few moments he took dropped his arms. What he saw was not the weird Digimon in a dress, but a bright, orange-headed girl who was about four inches shorter than him. Her wore a pair of round glasses on her face. Her attire was light like his, mainly due to the warm climate of this part of the Digital World.
Justice was taken aback by her appearance for a second. He was not expecting her to be well...hot. At first he though she was one of those weirdo Digimon that was trying to get a joke on him, but he was wrong. Despite her somewhat quirky personality, she was beautiful. Her casually “Sup” took him by surprised again. Getting himself back together, he slapped his face cheeks.
“Wow!”he gleamed, his eyes widen. “You look fantastic!”

"...I had to fill out this really long profile thing for my date so I just decided to let the search engine's prediction thingamajig do the work for me. So my fears are being blocked on Whatsapp and being found in human form." Snatchmon uttered. Of course, being human again meant she was a lot shorter now.
Shorter than her date, in fact. Though, the odd moment of silence was...unnerving. Shoot, did she fuck up already? A look of FEAR creeped across Mao's face before Justice's eyes widened and he delivered what might have been the second nicest thing anyone ever told her. "...Wait really? I just wear this stuff every day, uh. Not sure what's fantastic about it. I mean, I guess I'm pretty damn fashionable for some hopeless shut-in but...yeah. Thanks, man." She offered Justice a smile. "I'm Mao. Actual Mao. I'm not named after the chairman."

Justice nodded and smile. "Heh, it's nice to meet you again, Mao." Maybe this blind date thing wasn't turning out to be so bad after all. However he was still finding it a bit difficult since he hasn't dated in a while. The last time he dated was when he was back in the States, and that last one ended with the cops involved due to the fact his date was wanted with numerous house robberies and had a stand off with the cops, with him as a hostage! That night had given him the most terrible feeling, and thinking about it still brought a sense of bewilderment to his mind. It was a feeling he didn't want to relive - ever.
He twirled one of his dreadlocks, pondering on where to take his date to. Besides a visit from last time, he wasn't really familiar with Whitewater City. It's a city after all, so there's bound to be a lot of things to do here. Lunch? No, he wasn't hungry, and presumably, neither was she. It was still noon after all.
"You know, I have no idea on what we can do. It's been awhile since I've date, so I actually didn't think I would get this far." He gave a nervous laugh. "I kinda suck at this."

Okay, now what? That was probably the more apt way to describe how Mao felt at the moment. She had never dated. She didn't even have friends. How the hell was she supposed to get through this? Whitewater itself was vast, and populous, and there wasn't a shortage of things to do here.
Of course, though, the question was still what the heck could they do? Mao didn't know what sort of crap was out and about in a beachside city. ...Though, maybe she could...
"Well, I dunno what to do either, and I suck even worse. So, I'm proposing the only solution that matters." She reached into the pocket of her jacket and pulls out...A box. A box containing a deck of cards. "A children's card game." ...It was something? It could work? Maybe?
Mao didn't know if Justice liked card games or not. But, they were a hobby she enjoyed a bunch. Even if she just got into it to help her sister practice for some dumb tournaments.

Justice tilted his head as to what solution Mao was talking about. It was only when she pulled out a box from her pocket was when he finally caught on: Yu-Gi-Oh! He didn't know that such a chilled and pretty girl would be in to cards games such as this. These days he was more into Hearthstone since games were usually a bit shorter and there were ways to gain cards without spending money. Yu-Gi-Oh however, was the first card game he ever played, so it has a special place in his heart.
"Ah, so you're in to playing a children's card game I see." he said, smirking. He reached into his pocket to pull out a deck of cards as well, showing it to her. "I was a good player back in middle school, even got into some local tourneys. But when I went into high school, barely anyone played the game and that's when I kind of dipped out on it. But I always carried a desk with me just in case."
Too bad this wasn't like the anime where they had Dual Disks, otherwise playing analog would be a thing of the past since players can summon holographic monsters that can hurt you for some reason despite not being tangible.

"Oh, shit, you too?" Neat, they had something in common, though Justice seemed to have dipped out of the hobby after a time whereas Mao had remained fairly into it. "Yeah, uh...I've been playing since I was a kid. I kind of suck at it, so I usually ask my sister for help. She's -way- better at the game than I am, at least."
Yet she served as practice, so that had to mean she wasn't that bad herself, right? And while it was nothing like the anime, it was still a fun game to play. Whether it was suitable for a date or not, however?
Well, let's find out. "So, wanna play?"
