Very. Little. Hopes. Of anything.
Those five words combined would probably describe how Tsukiko was feeling right now. While she wondered what had made her accept yet another blind date in such odd circumstances, the woman twirled her index finger around some of her hair strands, quietly looking at people walking around the huge mall that Shibuya 104 was. Was the food court of a mall the proper place for a first date? Probably not. But she really didn’t have any type of hopes about this, so it didn’t matter that much. Besides, she had probably been too much without dating to actually know what was the right place to have a first date in.
With her other hand, she just played with the buckle of the belt that separated her purple blouse with a white loose skirt. One of her feet just bounced impatiently from one side to another. She was wearing some brown boots she had purchased a while ago but had never used. She liked those a lot.
Waiting was boring. But it wasn’t like if this person she was waiting for was late, she was just too early. However, time for them to appear was drawing near.
Her blue eyes shifted to stare at her cellphone. All the while, the words Kissu the Babamon had said to her before she went out her apartment echoed inside her head.
“I was just curious to see how this 'dating systems' you have inside the human world work! Besides, I really think you need some friends, at least. Some things are worth taking the try as much as you need to until the good one arrives. “
It was rude and totally inappropriate to call something like this off, right? Besides, it wasn’t like she could! Kissu had only told her the place and time where she needed to be, so she hadn’t previously established any type of communication with this person she was meeting in the next minutes.
This was definitely not how she hoped to spend her relaxing days back in the human world, after everything she had gone through in the Digital World during that last trip. Of course, the biggest difference between this and the last time she tried a blind date (which went horribly, by the way), was the fact that her digimon partner, Mitsuharu the BushiAgumon, was watching her from not too far away this time. Even if she didn’t know.
In any case, this person was probably about to arrive. Was Tsukiko a tad… nervous?
Even if she kept telling to herself that this was not going to work; was a part of her hoping it did?
