"Shade doesn't like this coat."
"I know darling but keep it buttoned yes?"
Shade let out a soft sigh and fidgeted with the buttons on his rather tight coat. The shirt had been too tight and they had to make some last minute adjustments to be even allowed into this place. Claire had thought the idea of shade attempting to wear some fancy dress along with some other minor things would help improve his self image and help him understand what some people had to deal with.
She had also thought that setting him on a date would be a good idea; in terminus in one of the most expensive restaurants in the place. She had said she would foot the bill and wouldn't mind just sitting in the back watching shade interact with his 'date' unless things got nasty. Thankfully his suit hid away what amounted to his 'restraining' device limiting both his fear aura and his own power for up until he was properly 'civilized'.
"Besides darling, you look positively charming."
"Too many frills on the arms."
"Yes but that draws it into your hands."
The wraithmon sighed a bit and closed his eyes, rubbing at his temples with a hand. Why was he having to go through this gain? Right. To become more like the people that had told him he could live differently; but he wasn't sure if he wanted to live this posh! There was some things he didn't understand. Like why was the lights coming from some huge bucket candle looking thing in the middle of the ceiling?
What was that grating noise coming from those.. items some mon's were playing? What was with all the happiness? Smugness and other things he could detect from people walking by? Honestly he felt a bit out of his element and he wasn't sure how long he could keep this up. He'd tug oddly at the pants that the Queenchessmon had said really helped him pull off the look. They grated against his skin and the gentle textures of... what was it? Silk? Were the only things not driving him mad.
"Shade will admit... Soft fabric feels good."
"Hush dear and take a seat, your date will appreciate your victorian suit and with all things considered will appreciate the effort you're putting forward to a 'better' you."
The wraithmon sighed and shook his head; the hat that he had been wearing earlier was now placed on the seat next to him. It felt silly to wear honestly with the whole dress and he preferred to keep his head uncovered for reasons he couldn't really explain!

Pretty much any excuse to get out of AEGIS HQ was a good excuse to Spymaster Renamon. If there was anything she hated (and there were, in fact, many, many such things), it was being cooped up in one building, especially in the real world. That was no life for a lady like her! No, Renamon liked her freedom and independence much more than most anyone else in her little band of pretend freedom fighters, and she was sure as heck going to use it. As she wandered the streets of Terminus in the evening, she was half-tempted to just never go back. After all, at least there her unique talent and charm were appreciated.
Appreciated a lot, apparently. It seemed the lovely fox just couldn't walk three steps without a Gatomon call or a Lobomon whistle thrown her way. Far from offended, she loved the attention. The way she walked, arrogantly smiled, swayed her tail, it was all intentionally to show off what she thought was her extravagant beauty. For the same reason, she wore nothing that might draw the eyes off her silky-smooth fur and slim feminine figure. A spy had to look good, always... even off-duty. "Walk by this way often, Foxy?" One Garurumon even was bold enough to ask her up front.
Renamon smiled at him, amused, but couldn't entertain the advances this time. "Sorry, handsome," she declined without a drop in flirtatiousness as she placed one paw against a glass door into a certain high-class restaurant. "I have a prior engagement." Renamon stepped inside that same door then and declared to the host, "Table for two. 'Shade.'"
The Astamon server didn't seat her straight away. She knew why before he explained it, too: she was the only one in the building not decked in the finest clothes of the richest snobs in the city. Dressing the part was hardly a new role for her, but she didn't see the logic in it for a first date with a stranger... especially if she wanted his eyes on her the whole time. "I'm sorry, Ma'am, but we do have a dress code..." Renamon held out a paw toward him, through which she channeled some of her excess data into the host. It was a bit transfer. However much it was, it sure changed the Astamon's tune in a hurry. "Right this way!" He was a gentleman enough to even pull out the seat across from Shade and announce, "Presenting Miss Renamon," as she sat down.
She found a space to slip her tail through, then grinned across at her date. Lucky for her, she didn't have to fake any of the attraction this time; the man across from her was clearly a noble of some sort in such fine clothing, and his face wasn't half-bad either. "Charmed, good sir" she pleasantly greeted while leaning forward to offer her hand. This was a test in itself, however. What would Shade do with it? A formal handshake, and the date may be already over. A more sensual a grasp, and she could be persuaded to stay. A formal kiss on its back side... well, she might just have to consider a second date.

Shade wasn't sure what to expect honestly, sure claire had gone over with him time and time again what he was supposed to do when his 'date' arrived. Another word he really didn't understand and more so things that he wasn't really aware of. She thought this would be able to set a good presidence for him and would also open his eyes so to speak. His ears would flick and he'd perk up a bit as he heard someone speak; someone saying something about a prior arrangement.
He'd shoot claire a curious look and she'd simply gesture for him to pay attention. Then of course he was gifted with the sight of a digimon he had never seen before. A fox of some kind, standing upright; their poise and class a completely different level than him. He would have to compare it to claire's who's own surpassed him mightily. She was... attractive to say the least and it was almost unnerving how it just threw him in the water. He'd drum his fingers along his snout nervously and clicked his teeth once before slowly shifting his tail to a more comfortable position.
So this was his 'date' they seemed quick and witty on their own. Managing to get through the dress code by doing something to the other digimon. It was something to do with money, a concept that the wraithmon barely understood. Which was probably a good thing considering he would of balked at the idea of this place. Then she greeted him after taking a seat. Which was quickly follow suit by her leaning forward, offering a hand.
Shade had maybe a moment to even realize what he needed to do and thankfully Claire had helped him along enough to where he would lean forward taking her hand gently in his own. He could hear claire with an easy flick of his ear and without really worrying well he'd put those lips to her hand kissing the top of it. While his voice was certainly deep, it also spoke of an undeniable age that he carried, smoothly and rather calmly even with his underlying nervousness he'd address the renamon quietly.
What would claire say here...?
"...The pleasure is... Shade's Ma'am."
He'd withdraw his hand and his head after a few moments and consider quietly what the other was. He had never really seen a renamon before, then again no one had seen his kind in a long time. Biting the inside of his cheek he'd manage a simple question.
"Didn't have... trouble finding the place?"
He could feel the eyes of the Queenchessmon boring into his side but he'd manage that unnerving constant smile that always seemed to be present on his face. He was trying his hardest in the lots that claire had taught him. He just hoped that she wouldn't go outside the boundaries of what he knew how to answer from the little bit that Claire had managed to slam into him. If she did he might have a few issues... Maybe...

Ooh, that was a good start. The vixen feigned a little surprise and chuckled a little, amused by just how far this man was going to get on her good side while trying to pass it off as being a little flirtatious laugh. Thus far his acting skills were holding up; Renamon was impressed. Money and manners! Perhaps it was a little odd for the Wraithmon across from her to speak of himself in the third person, but Renamon wasn't too suspicious of this odd speech quirk... yet.
When Renamon had her paw back, the first thing she did with it was flick it softly off the tip of Shade's shoulder, another flirtatious little gesture. Then she began to snap at the air haughtily without making eye contact with anybody. Uh-oh! She was clearly demanding something, but what? Whatever it was, it didn't come instantly; she snapped two digits again, this time more impatiently. "No trouble at all, Mr. Shade. You have good taste," was her answer to the question posed her, and her tone was still very light and snobbish despite the increasing urgency in her snapping digits.
After a solid minute, though, her expression soured. Whatever it is she wanted still hadn't been delivered. She clenched her paw into a fist at this point and looked like she was about to slam it on the table until a Koemon waiter in a tux finally approached the table. "How may I be of service, ma'am?"
Without skipping a beat, the vixen rapidly ordered, "Cabernet sauvignon, something dry, nothing under three decades old. A basket of dinner rolls while we browse the menu." Koemon tried to slip away then, but Renamon summoned him back with a snap. "Pinch of lime, too." Again, the monkey bowed and took a step only to be resummoned. "And be quick about it." Koemon thought that was the end until the fox yet again cleared her throat loudly to signal she still wasn't finished.
"Yes, ma'am?" Clearly, the waiter was starting to seethe even as he tried to keep professional.
This time, Renamon addressed Shade. "What would you like from the good man, hun?"
