Ronin was dead tired of this already. His teacher had decided it would be such a joyous occasion to have the students work together in a group project in something that almost every single individual in that room cheered for. No doubt the rest of them taking it as an excuse to socialize during class hours rather than actually work on anything at all. A presentation on Japanese history and culture, bah. That sort of simple project didn't need any assistance from anyone, it almost felt like they just wanted half as many projects to grade. Lazy teachers enabling lazy students was the worst combination he had seen yet.
His partner, of course, was only assigned to him because everyone else had chosen their partners before either of them really seemed to have a chance. The social butterflies piled together like ants to a picnic before he could even object to the very idea of being forced to work with someone else. And yet, here he was in the computer lab at his school. Extremely bored, waiting for his partner to show up at all. It had been what, thirty minutes, maybe even forty-five minutes later and he still refused to show up? Who was this idiot keeping him waiting? Didn't he realize that his grade was on the line as well as Ronin's? What a fool.
With a sigh, he finally turned on a computer and put down his book to begin working. Each 'group' had been randomly assigned a period of Japanese history to make a presentation on. He had been assigned the Meiji period of history, the era ranging from 1868 to 1912. Ronin scoffed as he pulled out his notebook as well to record information. If his partner wasn't even going to show up, he wasn't even going to pretend to wait. He'd do the whole project himself if he had to.
Somewhere, deep within the forests of the Digital World, a pink cupid-like Digimon was simply rolling around atop a red egg. "You know, you're pretty hard to wake, Mister." The in-training Digimon would speak, tapping a foot down on the egg as he continued to roll. "I've been at this all day. And you're still sleeping! Do you expect me to sit on you? Ain't gonna happen bucko!" With that said, the Cupimon simply hops off the egg and give it a dramatic, yet weak kick with its oversized feet. "
