"Yeah... I know. It's my fault for this too."
Holly shook her head, she could hardly put everything about this whole situation on the guild after all. The third snapping brought forth another splitting headache. One that made her gag softly as it was slamming home along with the others. Pulsing and writhing in her mind.
This job was much different, one that they handled with four people rather than three. It made her pause, that splitting pounding sensation in her head nearly overwhelming as that corrupt angel's story played out. There was a lot at stake in this mission. She could feel the weight of it pressing down upon her. She'd slowly inch her head against the bedding trying to wheeze out her breaths as they came.
"Tch... that was a rough mission... guh..."
She'd rub at her temples and scrunch her eyes shut as she felt this pounding headache. All these memories wrapping and making her days make sense. She did feel a strong sense of pride at being able to finish that one. Even as it made her hands shake. Even as it made her feel queasy, even as she felt something shift.
"T-tch.... A... weird sense of pride for... for... such a thing but I... I... I took care of someone that was using their position to hurt so many... to load so many..."
She wasn't a hero, she wasn't some saint either. She wasn't guru, she wasn't her mother or even her father. But it still hurt to think about. It was painful to think about how far she had went. How much she had practiced...

"Just hang on for me. One more, Holly..."
And with a 'click', that last bit - that last now-obvious hole in her memory - was completely exposed to her in a flash of blinding light. Or, maybe that was just the hot, desert sun she'd be remembering in her eyes. For this last one, Holly was on the surface, keeping count of how many Digimon were making their way past them. Next to her, Wolf held a switch, the pair of them overlooking the scene from a metal balcony above.
The plan was a bit more complicated than most. Their target was an underground Trailmon and its pilot, Datamon, one whose operations threatened to cave a small town inward in the hopes of extracting the ore underneath. To this end, knowing that the Trailmon would be in that underground station, one of the assassins pulled the alarm, evacuating the innocent workers and potential passengers.
And once Holly gave the signal, that only the Trailmon and the Datamon were left underground, the Lobomon flipped the switch - caving that tunnel right over-top him, using a portion of his planned explosions right against him.
This time, they didn't even dirty their hands directly, calmly leaving through a portal as the rest of the town slipped into a panic...

"T...Tch... O... okay... One last one..."
Holly would mumble a bit as that last lock fell away, she felt the painful sense of the memory returning to where it should be. It was something so simple. The desert sun was blinding to her, it was hot and she hadn't been able to get something to drink for the better part of an hour. She remembered the muttering, the firm movements of the workers and those potential passengers.
She remembered her resolve in helping these groups. She remembered how much it hurt to think if they failed, she remembered that there wasn't a huge margin of being able to fail but there was a lot that still could go wrong. She remembered the panic of the town and the portal through.
The memories kept slamming together into her head, pushing themselves to where they needed to be. A shuddering gasp escaped from her and she felt like her head was going to split apart. A little dribble of data escaped from her nose and she felt something kick somewhere else. She felt those memories roll in her head and the pain that had been mounted slammed into her all at once. Making her fall back against the bed with a somewhat pained grunt.
It hurt.
It really hurt as those memories seeded their way into her core. Fitting in in the right places they needed to be. And it hurt a whole lot less once they seeded together properly. She'd let out a soft sob of pain as it slowly started to clear up.
"....Gah... There's... not as much as I thought... but g-guh... It still hurts..."

Yes, it hurt.
Guru could tell Holly's extreme discomfort with the situation, the feline even getting a nosebleed as those sealed memories fell right into place. Offering the Meicoomon a handkerchief - one that had just been on the nightstand - and simply accompanied Holly through the pain, gently nuzzling against the poor cat's back.
It would take about ten minutes until that pain finally became a dull ache, the Reppamon carefully observing her condition. "Days of your life have been returned to you. Times you were challenged, you were hurt, you were prideful. So now I must ask, Holly."
The Reppamon would wait to see her eyes, and very simply ask:
"How do you feel about it, now that you have the full picture?"

Holly would have to deal with that pain; through the frustration and the proper placement of those memories. She'd gingerly use that handkerchief on her nose, wincing a bit as she could feel it be rather sensitive. Everything felt more intense than it needed to be and everything just felt odd. She'd let out a soft sound and gently patted the reppamon once she had managed to push through that pain. Allowing it to become a dull ache. She'd exhale slowly and just nod slowly as he spoke. She'd tilt her head slightly and frowned slowly as he asked how she felt about it.
She'd sit there mulling it over, there were times of pride, times of failure, she felt conflicted. She didn't know what she thought about her having to kill these digimon. She felt right helping people, she liked how she was able to help the town. How she was able to get revenge for those prisoners but. She'd slowly look up at the reppamon her eyes hardening a bit.
It didn't feel right.
"I don't like it. I really don't. But I see the need for it."
She'd sigh softly and look down at her hands, frowning slowly as she felt that pain spread out among her body. Then there was this aching sensation that she couldn't explain right next to her core and she'd furrow her brow slowly.
"I like helping people. I like being there making a difference. But like I said earlier. I'm not a hero. I'm not my ma. But I think I could be like My Da or Dr. Cross. I think I could make a difference wherever I go. But I don't know how. And I think I need time to think my stuff through. I was too hasty. Every single job felt hasty and rushed. Except for maybe the first or third."
Then there was a soft sigh and she'd just ease her head back again.
"I don't think assassinations and such are for me. But at the same time I don't know enough about the world to really choose. So I suppose it's back to the drawing board in that regard... maybe I should take that test again after studying some more..."

"Mm."
Guru gave a nod, understanding her answer. Holly didn't like it, but she understand why it had to be done - or, rather, why 'someone' had to do it. But she also said the things that she wasn't: not a hero, not 'K'. But, just maybe, she could be a doctor, someone who could make a difference. There, the Reppamon smiled: "Your dad does good work, and I'm sure he'd be glad to have you."
She wasn't an assassin. That was what Holly decided right there: she would go back, re-evaluate what she should be doing, and think about it further. The weasel gave a smile, one that stretched slightly under that mask.
"If you are good at one thing, its pressing forward. The world could use more optimistic Digimon like you." Heh, talking about optimism here? The smile did fade, though, as the Reppamon continued:
"I'll be here, Holly. Unless you need some time to yourself. Even if its not for you... you've had a terrible loss, today."

Holly stretched a bit, pulling at the handkerchief for a moment. Making sure that she had wiped up all that leaking data. She'd pause when he spoke about how her da would be glad to have her. She'd consider that and then nod a few times.
"He'll probably be thrilled at the idea, and with this whole... assassin thing. I learned how to defend myself but... There's other things I can also take from this whole ordeal."
There was a small snort and she shook her head. She needed to do this, she needed to re-evaluate a lot of things. Hell she had even learned a few huge things about herself that would of probably taken years. She found her cheeks flushing however when the reppamon told her that the world needed more optimistic digimon like herself and she'd bury the lower half of her head into her fur.
"Thanks guru..."
Holly paused a little bit and gave a hug at the reppamon. Firmly and somewhat happily before sort of flopping down on her bed in a small bit of frustration.
"I could use the company... and... Terrible loss? Uhm... well.. yeah I'd like some company still but... I think I lost what you're talking about a lot sooner than today... I just had to wake up and realize that I did."

Guru nuzzled gently against Holly as she gave that hug, but it seemed that she took his comment the wrong way. She lost it much sooner than today?
It took Guru a moment to catch up, the masked Digimon letting out a tired sigh. "Well, losing 'that' is hard to accept as well, but I meant something more tangible. Something that you held high in value up through today."
He was silent for a moment, his voice slipping much lower.
"... Dark was a good Digimon." He gave a small pause. "His methods were never something I would agree with, but he truly valued you on his team. It might have been his idea to seal your memories, along with Iris, but he never made that decision out of malice or greed."
"... All I'm saying is that if you need to cry, I'm here."

Holly let loose a small sigh and just hugged against the reppamon. She felt uncertain, felt right. Felt wrong. There was a huge amount of different emotions going through her at the moment but when the other sighed she'd blink quietly and looked down at herself.
"...Something... I held in high value...?"
She blinked in confusion, she seemed to miss the point but however he followed through with silence. His voice growing hushed and she felt her eyes water a bit. She'd scrunch her eyes shut and well. She started to cry, and push her face against the reppamon's fur. She'd sob, and sob and sob...
"I'll do my best not to forget him..."
She didn't know him that well past the bits and pieces that she had put together but he was nice to her. She liked him and he was a good person at least in her eyes. Even if he did a somewhat questionable job. It might of taken a bit for the meicoomon to get it out of her system. But at the end of it?
Well the reppamon might be surprised to know that the meicoomon had fallen asleep against the weasel. Through the midst of crying, the headaches and well what occured earlier she was absolutely tuckered out....
