"Sure, we protect him, but Colin gives us everything we need in return!" Bellamy responded. "Food, shelter, adventures, wisdom, love... you might see those things as weaknesses, but we see them as the thing that makes us strong!"Colin's eyes widened a little at these words. He hadn't realized that Bellamy thought like that about him, but, he supposed he'd been on adventures with these guys for over two years now, heh, yeah, he supposed he did provide them lots of things in return for them protecting him. Like since the first night they slept in his room, how he awoke to find the Impmon and Elecmon whimpering and crying in their sleep, but when he let them share his bed, it stopped. And it had been like that ever since. Luke made a noise of contempt at the BlackGabumon's words in response. Then he and Bellamy made their attacks, but both were deflected by a fiery shield. However, Luke equipped with a polearm wouldn't be so easy to ensnare as that. The Elecmon leapt backward as he felt his attack could do no more. That was the principle of fighting with spears, always keep a good range. So when Bero's fiery limbs came grasping in response, the Elecmon was prepared for them. He ducked under the first, then parried the second with a swift motion. The Cross Barbee grew very hot in his grip, even beginning to hurt him, but it was within his tolerance. He saw the limb aiming for his leg, then slammed his weapon down upon it, pinning it to the ground. While Luke wasn't able to attack with his weapon again, well, he was able to attack with his tail feathers. "Sparkling Thunder!" he snarled, casting forth another blue bolt of lightning from his tail that arced straight at Bero. However, him holding his limb down like this meant that he was unable to dodge the Little Blue Hunter that went his way. He cried out in pain from the flames. "Luke!" Bellamy shouted in horror for his brother's sake. "I'm okay..." Luke answered, although his fur was smoldering too by now. Bellamy was still enraged though, and was thankful when he felt the effects of another card coming. "Digimodify! Renamon's Diamond Storm activate!" Colin called, striking another card through his digivice. Bellamy's eye glinted green with malice, then the Impmon leapt into the air, crossing his arms, an assortment of glowing crystal shards appearing in front of his face and chest. Then with a cry of "Diamond Storm!" he would send all of the glass-like shards showering down on Bero, covering a wide area should he try to dodge them. Luke pulls back before Azure Zenith can burn him.
Luke dodges one limb, parries the second, then uses his Cross Barbee to pin down the third.
Luke is struck by Little Blue Hunter.
Luke uses Sparkling Thunder on Bero.
Sparkling Thunder - Leans forward on all fours, unfurls his tail feathers, and discharges a bolt of lightning from the built up electricity at the target.Colin uses a Renamon card on Bellamy.

Bero watched as his strikes were parried, due to Luke’s technique and technique alone. His first genuine smile popped on his face as he finally could really confirm the mettle that his enemies had. They were more than just their cards, it was honestly such a shame they deemed it necessary to fight him using those cards, in his eyes. Bero smiled as Little Blue Hunter hit Luke head on, but the electrical charge from Luke’s Sparkling Thunder hit him straight on in return. He didn’t even try to dodge, standing out there and yelping in the pain as his cloak frazzed and shook in the air due to the sheer electrical charge running through it. Fires vanished for moments and reignited at random as he stood there for the full duration of the attack, facing the electrocution head on.
He grunted and gasped for air after the attack hit. Damage had popped up all around him, many of his fires had fizzled, but a few remained ignited and slowly started igniting the rest of the cape. However, Bero corrected his posture. Like a man who realized he was being unseemly at a fancy party, he stood straight and all the fires covering him vanished. The claw which was pinned under the Cross Barbee lost its elasticity, ripping under the point that the spear had it pinned and suddenly snapping back. Red data floated from the point it had been damaged, indicating the cloak was just as much part of Bero as Bero’s own limbs, in some way or another.
The cloak hung limply, more like how a cloak naturally would, instead of moving so freely as it did when it was on fire. Bero noticed the situation wasn’t over and turned to face Bellamy as Bellamy went to unleash the card attack on him. Bero spread his arms and smiled. His violet eyes stared straight towards Bellamy, fiery determination still clearly evident in them. “The name’s Bero. Enjoy your pointless victory, you brothers two.”
He stared straight in the face of the diamond storm for a second, remaining still and fearless as the attack came closer. In the last moment, he closed his eyes, the shards zipping towards him and scraping his skin and cloak. He took every hit without flinching or falling over, more wounds and scratches appearing over him. Even as some shards hit him head on, he had proven himself so stubbornly sturdy that the glass bits bounced off his skin and fell on the ground, cutting him instead of piercing him. Bero had clearly been defeated, his wounds were now too much for him to continue the combat in earnest.
But he stood, eyes closed, smiling, arms wide and scratches all over him. He refused to fall over or bow to the pain, even as one of his cloak’s claws was ripped horribly and damaged data streamed from it. He slowly opened his eyes. It seemed he had remained conscious, even in defeat and in the face of all these wounds.

The parries and slashes that Luke made with the Cross Barbee came as instinct to him. After all, since the day he could evolve to Champion, he had trained regularly with a spear to fully learn its capabilities, the advantages of reach, the swiftness of its attack. And with the trident weapon in his paws, this training paid off, although taking the fire attack directly sure did a number on him. But not enough to make the Elecmon crumble.
And so, when Luke made his last attack, it seemed it was the end of the BlackGabumon's stamina. The claw that was pinned under Luke's weapon fell limp, and the red rabbit digimon gasped as he realized the battle had come to an end.
The BlackGabumon said his name was Bero, and Bellamy's Diamond Storm ended the combat. But still, Bero did not fall, and yet, he was clearly unable to continue combat. Thankfully, all that was present did not dispute the outcome. And Luke and Bellamy would not deprive him of his dignity here, allowing him to stand, even in defeat.
"The spar is decided!" Gaz declared, the JaegerDorulumon who had been watching the battle carefully suddenly declared. "Dad and uncle are the victors! Now then... Life Halation!"
The armored beast digimon made her drill spear spin with a healing energy, sending waves of healing light over Bero, restoring him from the brink of destruction after their battle.
"Gaz... wanna give us the same maybe?" Bellamy asked her.
"No, father, I cannot. I must rest for a few minutes. Besides, the pain will strengthen you".
Bellamy gasped and despaired at this, his fur was burned in several places, and the pain was terrible. Luke felt the same, but still, he felt this arrangement was fair. Bero was the worst off in this sparring session, let him be healed first.
"Well, uh, that sure was intense..." Colin said, cautiously. "Hey, uh, Bero, would you like to have lunch with us?" he supposed this was weird to ask right away so he supposed he'd best explain himself. "You sure had my partners on the ropes there, and, I think we all benefitted from that sparring match, so, just asking if you'd like to maybe stick around? If not, that's fine too" he added quickly.
If he stayed or left, Colin would walk over to his injured partners, then sat down in the sand and gave them both a fist-bump of congratulations. He would have hugged them, but, he supposed that that would best wait until their burns had healed.

Bero was surprised as he was healed, but he quickly reasoned it made sense. They had all been those kind of honourable types so far. So healing him afterwards instead of knocking him down fit their personality. Besides, he couldn’t complain. It means he’d go into the next battle well and healthy again. He watched Bellamy not receive his own daughter’s healing gift while he had received it, looking at the interaction. “Suits you.”
He spoke sassily, although in a soft tone towards Bellamy’s general direction. He had not been impressed by Bellamy’s overall performance, and did not feel like the heal would be more logically placed on Bellamy. However, the pain argument irked him somewhat.
“The pain was to be my strength as well. And i definitely wouldn’t have whined about it.” He said, his eyes sharp as he looked to Gaz. He didn’t ignite his cape though, giving him a very different impression from what he had earlier when he shamelessly lit himself aflame. He seemed calmer now. He sat back down, crossing his arms and looking as sour as he did before, but a degree less angry.
He lifted an eyebrow as Colin spoke to him, listening, although only half-willingly. He couldn’t do anything that Colin’s three digimon partners didn’t approve of… but then again, he couldn’t do anything that any champion on this well-populated beach didn’t approve of. He replied, but his tone was sour. Nothing in him seemed to lighten up at Colin’s friendliness, his tone showed that he genuinely didn’t like Colin. “I have nothing better to do, so i suppose i might as well. Even healed, i’m not going to encounter another fight here, so i’ll have to live having had this poor performance of a so called fight.”
He stood up, without much or if any issue, and observed Colin congratulate his partners from a distance. He understood why, but he still didn’t like it. Being positive was a part of team building, a part of learning to work together better. And he felt they could use it.

In normal circumstances, Bellamy would have responded more aggressively toward Bero. But for now, in his weakened state, all the Impmon did was poke his tongue out and blurt in an insulting way. Pathetic, yes, but, they had already proven their capabilities in battle, and now was the time to let them see each other as they really were.
Still though, Bero accepted their offer of sharing lunch. An important gesture, at least as far as Colin and his partners had learned - no true enemy would ever offer their opponent food or comfort. And that Bero accepted, then he was no enemy of theirs.
His words were still competitive though. Which prompted Luke to ask his next question. "And what would be a good performance in a fight by your standards that we were lacking?" the Elecmon asked in a calculating tone.
Once Colin had finished with his partners, he would quickly run aboard Daedalus, still berthed at the edge of the beach, then return with multiple packages of food, each one able to provide a rookie digimon or a human with enough to count as a solid meal. He'd return with packages for Luke, Bellamy, himself and Bero. But alas, they would need to be cooked first. Thankfully Bellamy was able to provide a flame to driftwood to cook their meals for them.
"So, Bero..." Colin began to speak as they awaited their meal. "You seem a bit... disapproving of humans like me being in the digital world. If it's not too intrusive of me to ask, could you tell us why you think that?"
He meant this in all politeness, but he remembered the reason for this grudge happening in the first place was by Bero identifying Gaz, Luke and Bellamy as allies of a human, and the AEGIS agent would like to know the reason why.

Bero smiled as Elecmon asked what was lacking in their performance. He liked his style. He ignored Bellamy for now, as the Impmon didn’t really give him anything to work with and it’s not like there was chance a second battle would pop up. Not one worth fighting anywho. He looked to the Elecmon thoughtfully. “Decisiveness and Teamwork.” He said, opting to not elaborate by his own. He assumed it would be obvious what he meant if he just said that.
Bero could but watch as Colin got the food from the large ship, which he lifted an eye towards. Naturally, even if a human’s partners got powerful, they would not, meaning they might need an extra mode of transport. Well, in truth, many digimon, even of stronger forms would use Trailmons or the like… But Humans would never fly or run as Digimon could. What a hassle-filled life. Bero’s expression remained unchanging as he watched Colin go to and fro.
Bero watched Bellamy provide the fire to alight driftwood to cook the meals. “That fire’s too uncontrolled. The top is too cool and the bottom is too hot. It’ll burn out and char the bottom before the top’s done.” Now that he was healthy anyway, Bero had no issue lighting his cloak aflame, crossing it’s claws over the driftwood. A good portion of the fire became blue and as Bero stared intensely at the flame, it’s shape morphed and any food inside of it started cooking more evenly. The entirety of the flame twisted, roiled and turned around the food, giving it a nice, even broil, and letting it crackle as it became evenly crisp and any juices were warmed to perfection.
As Bero helped with the preparation, Colin nonetheless spoke to him, asking on his opinion on humans. Bero lifted one eyebrow at the question. Wasn’t the answer obvious? He looked at Colin, half dumbfounded, before regaining control of his expression. “You lot are invasive. It’s the natural order for digimon to battle, seek power. Why else would wild digimon exist? Why else would our stages exist? Humans don’t belong in this. They’re not natural.”
Sharp eyes pierced right through Colin as he shamelessly shared his opinion, Despite his emotions, he maintained an even, ifnot perfect, control over the flames that cooked the meals.

Luke considered that answer for the moment. Decisiveness and teamwork... while his initial reaction would have been to state that it was adequate enough, well, that simply wasn't true. He and Bellamy seemed to have times when they would fall out of sync.
When the cooking fire was lit, Bero pointed out that the food would cook unevenly in this situation. Indeed this was true, but, Colin didn't really have a portable oven here, but he was thankful when Bero provided assistance to this in his own way. "Ah, thanks" he said. Even if the plan was to turn over the meat when it was halfway done, well, this made it easier.
Colin wasn't expecting an easy answer from Bero in response to his question, but still, he was somewhat startled by those words. "Invasive...?" he repeated, his initial outrage quickly being quenched by reality. Perhaps that was true in a way. A lot of digimon felt that way, that humans in the digital world were changing things too harshly. Colin thought that things like Rosewood and Whitewater proved that humanity was a good thing to this world, but still, there were horrible humans in existence, and they too were affecting the digital world.
It was Luke that spoke next. "I disagree, I think humans do have a part to play in all this" the Elecmon said. "If the digital world was simply left down to us digimon it'd be a state of chaos, but, humans help us learn harmony and order. Humans taught us civilization and peace. You can't build a village if all you do is fight all day. Yes, there's those that need to defend the village, but you also need farmers, carpenters, metalworkers, hunters, and the ability to make all these people work together - leadership. Humans help us digimon in those things".
The young Colin hadn't thought of it that way, but, yeah, in the wilds of the digital world, he could see how humans could inspire digimon societies like that. But he wondered how Bero would respond.

Bero gave Luke a critical look at his explanation. He had no right to deny the Elecmon his opinion. The Elecmon is stronger than him, after all. In that same vein, he could do little to truly convince Colin, as Colin had this strength backing him. Bero thought about it for a moment. The statement wasn’t untrue, but he wondered more how to put it. To be honest, in his eyes, the simple truth of the matter was that the whole idea was dumb, but he somehow felt mentioning that in such a fashion would be inviting trouble. Damn all this social intrigue and sensitivities.
“And i disagree to that statement in turn. Why do we need those things? Interdependence and teamwork are all means to attain power under restrictions which you become used to. Just so that you are no longer completely independent and free to do as you want, even if you would technically have the strength to do so.” Bero returned, his tone was high, mighty and 120% stubborn. It wouldn’t be easy to sway him of his opinion, despite his use of fancy words that may make him seem more scientific or open to discussion than he actually is.
Bero stared at the meals a little more, but they seemed about done, so he lifted his claws away from the fire, blue fire subsiding from his cape and slowly pulling out of the fire itself, returning it to a normal campfire on a hot summery beach day. Bero stared into the fire, softly reminding himself as to why he was talking about this subject with these people. His eyes passed over them, They looked into the eyes of the twins, the human and the Gazimon, each in turn. He judged the intensity in their eyes, the fires that burned inside of them.

Luke absorbed those words, recognizing that they did mean a lot to many digimon in the world. He disagreed with them, but, was respectful enough of Bero to explain why he felt that way. After he said his peace, he would respond.
"If you need food, you go to a food vendor. If you need a weapon, you go to a weaponmaker. If you need shelter built, you go to a builder. If you need an injury healed you go to a healer, if you need a bridge built you go to an engineer. That's what society is, Bero. I understand a lot of digimon are slow on the uptake in accepting it, but, since humans have introduced these concepts to us, the quality of life of a lot of digimon has increased significantly".
Bellamy had little understanding in his brother's speech, so for the moment he simply just cooked the food and listened in. Gaz was the same. But Colin listened intently.
"Sure, in the old way, fine, if you needed something you'd fight another digimon and take from them, but, what if someone does the same to you? What if someone stronger than you swoops in on your life and takes everything you own? Surely that's not a digital world that would make everyone happy? And if you think you can get stronger than that digimon, what if you don't? What if they're so much stronger than you that they decide to just erase and absorb you so you die forever? I don't know about you, but, that's not the kind of world I'd like to live in".
As Bero looked into their eyes, Luke's blue ones were fierce with zeal on his position. Bellamy and Gaz's green eyes were less intense, but they looked like they agreed with Luke. And Colin's red eyes were a little confused, but, he looked like he'd back his Elecmon partner.

Bero watched with the counter arguments and noticed the feeling in each of their eyes. His own stared straight into Luke. the two matching each other in fiery intensity. Even after every argument Luke had given, he just stared straight back. He didn’t like the way powerful digimon could lord over him and delete anyone as they desired, he said that’s not the world he wanted to live in. To that, Bero had only one retort. “And yet, here you are.”
In Bero’s eyes, such was the way of the world. Humans can try as they wish, but they only change the status quo for digimon who have to bow to their strength, and the strength of the systems they create. How was it any different from having to bow to a stronger digimon and risking punishment at the hand of those stronger digimon? Bero dropped the eye contact with Luke, shutting his eyes to the food and callously biting into it, giving no deeper reply. As far as Bero was concerned, Luke didn’t have anything interesting to say on that subject.
“You were more interesting when you were asking about your battle performance. I won’t say your dreams will never come to fruition, but to me, if they do, you’re no different than an overlord forcing me to abide to your system and your rules, even if your intents are apparently nicer because you mean it to help others.” Bero shrugged and took another bite into the food. He didn’t believe Luke’s perspective was ultimately impossible. Luke was strong, he couldn’t deny him that. Hell, he had no idea how strong Luke and the other digimon here truly were. Perhaps they would change life and establish the system they desire. It wouldn’t change anything for Bero, he would seek strength, and freedom within that strength. Bero’s eyes carried the same unfriendliness as they did earlier.

Luke's eyes turned to a scowl at Bero's words. The Elecmon just couldn't get through to this stubborn digimon. He opened his mouth to continue, but halted when he felt Bellamy's elbow prod his side.
"Luke, come on, don't ruin this with politics." the Impmon beseeched him. Luke then realized just how angry he was appearing here. Scowling, his ears folded back, the fur on the back of his neck rising... wow, things were about to get out of hand here.
So therefore Luke would say nothing else on the subject for now. He had his position, Bero had his. And if Luke couldn't convince him here, well, one day, maybe he could. But for now, he simply ate in silence. It was the least he would do to treat Bero with respect following their battle. But this disagreement would not be constructive, so he would say nothing else on it.
In the awkwardness that followed, not even Colin or Bellamy knew what to say here. But it was Gaz that spoke next, the young Gazimon curious about Bero in some way. "Say, Bero, do you have any friends?" she queried. "If not... any other digimon you trust or even like bein' around?"
It was a personal question indeed, but, she was rather curious about it. If he answered as expected, well, that would explain a lot to her.

Bero was disinterested in the twins. Luke was filled with fiery opinions, but they didn’t matter to Bero. It was a good gap to piss him off with in the future, for when they were equally powerful, a future hopefully not too far removed from now. But it’d probably be at least a good ways away. A good reason to keep training, he needed to be strong enough to avoid Luke’s desired future before it came to truth.
The conversational awkwardness clearly didn’t bother Bero in the slightest, him being content to continue eating. The Gazimon was the first to break it, putting her attention to Bero. It seems the rest knew each other well enough. Perhaps he could ask a question after this, if he came with anything he felt like knowing. An obvious enough question, Bero had hoped something like this wouldn’t need asking. It wouldn’t harm anyone to let them know the full story though.
“I don’t have friends. And so you don’t continue asking too much, i did try. I was told friends can be your power. I tried, but it didn’t take me very long to learn why digimon wouldn’t want to befriend me, and the feeling was mutual. I don’t need friends. I don’t want to be chained down by the demand to help them when they need it. I suppose i have some digimon i know i would consider rivals though. Those i don’t mind meeting, those i know will challenge me and help me become stronger. Those are the digimon who interest me.” He said, feeling it was completely natural to say it as such and feel this way. Something deep down prevented him from feeling the same compassion as other digimon had, it was all too complicated to bother him. He’s just like this. It doesn’t bother him one bit.
Before he finished talking, he continued again, interrupting anyone who may have tried to reply to him, as he needed to clarify something to prevent discussion. “It’s not that i don’t believe the whole friendship thing can give power. I’m smart enough to know that you can motivate each other and help each other. Many digimon can become stronger from this, but i’m one of the many others who would not bother for it.”

Colin couldn't help but feel awkward as they ate together in a seemingly bitter atmosphere. For one thing, it was Luke that seemed pissed off rather than Bellamy, and this was certainly not something that he was used to. The other thing was that he found that he simply couldn't understand Bero's outlook on things. Thankfully Colin's default reaction to something like this was to simply go "Ah, okay then" and try and find something else to talk about, but, the young man felt like he simply couldn't come up with such a thing.
Gaz meanwhile listened to what he had to say as she ate her own meal. Opinions propped up pretty quickly in her mind, but she chose not to say anything until Bero stopped talking. Experiences were important to all of this after all.
Eventually, when he gave his opinion on the matter, Gaz pondered over it, then turned and spoke. "Sounds to me like you think friendship's a transactional thing" she stated. "That ain't the truth and you know it. It's findin' someone whose goals you share and workin' together to get that. Sure, sounds like you suffered in some way in the past, but, I assure you, not everyone's like that. But, I'll tell you one thing, actin' like you are now ain't the way to get true friends to help you. Hell, I wouldn't mind bein' your friend if you didn't bitch-glare at my dad and uncle so much".
"Gaz... might be enough there" Bellamy said the moment the conversation shifted to him and his brother. But hopefully they could move their peace through this moment.

Bero continued to ate as Gaz did opt to continue talking to him. When the notion came to suffering in the past, Bero shrugged. “I see you try to profile me. While i’m more used to combat profiling, it’s notable when someone profiles you. I don’t have some traumatic past. I’ve always been like this, and no one’s hurt or offended me to make me hold onto some false ideals of bitterness. “
Bero shrugged to the mention of it being enough and him giving an unfriendly glare to her relatives. As far as he was concerned, Gaz was refreshingly honest. Coupled with the fact that they were all stronger than him, and that made him feel less inclined to step on their toes and challenge them, he could easily continue the conversation. “While i do not like to be called bitch, she’s too strong for me to object and she’s not wrong.”
“I knew from the day i was created i needed to be stronger. Now, i didn’t know why at first… But then i learned that i couldn’t know why. And why not? Because i am bound to the laws of those above me, the stronger, the so-called righteous, the jailors and the organizers. As long as they stand above me, they hold my strings. They pull me away from certain actions. Loading, murder, wanton destruction. Just like how right now, i will not go out of my way to personally offend any of you four, because the others will punish me for that. But what if that’s what i really want to do, what if that’s what i should be doing? I don’t know, i can’t know… because i can’t even humor the thought as long as i’m scared to be defeated by you. And that’s why i need to stand on top.” Bero’s eyes burned with conviction. His every word held not a single doubt, not a single tremble of his voice. He stared at the three with those words still hanging in the air.
He then scoffed slightly, cocking his head and giving them a nasty look with his head at an angle. His voice still dripped with that same, straightforward honesty as he had given before. There was no point in him to lie, they all shared a pretty unfriendly connection anyway. “It’s a shame i don’t think i can depend on any of you to help me in this. Your friendships come with demands, expectations, strings attached. And that’s not what i want in a rival, or as how you all may call it… a ‘friend’. If i ever stand on top and find out that what i want is a friend, i’ll come back for lessons.”
That last part he said with a grin, lowering his head somewhat and biting the last of his food like a savage. It was something between a joke and an honest statement. In all honesty, he did believe it could be true, but he felt it wasn’t very likely. What was the chance that he was busy freeing himself from all restraints for so long, just to do something he probably could have tried even while restrained? Small. Present, but small.

Gaz sighed with disappointment. She had hoped to maybe get through to Bero and at least get him to respond with something positive, but, it seemed she just wasn't good enough to break through these walls that Bero seemed to be putting up.
While she wouldn't give up overall, she decided there was little else she could say in this conversation. Maybe someday in future she could try again? But, well, yeah, she supposed that maybe the mental spot just wasn't there. After all, Bero was in a position of weakness, just having been beaten in battle by her father and uncle, so, some instinctive defenses might be in play here. Thus, she wouldn't think of him badly.
Luke meanwhile felt somewhat similar, only that he and Bero probably wouldn't be the best of friends since their worldviews were so different. However, the Elecmon didn't hate him for it, he put it down to a respectful disagreement.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to call you a bitch, just, I didn't like the way you were lookin' at my family" Gaz apologized. "But it was rude of me, so, sorry".
Colin meanwhile listened in silence. As an AEGIS agent, there was something about Bero's words that interested him. Was this the worldview of the wild digimon that turned their backs on civilization and only went about seeking battle and violence? To the boy's alarm, there was even a crude logic to the BlackGabumon's words. The actual state of the wild digital world, starkly contrasted against the civilizations that humans like him were trying to encourage and cultivate. Nature against nurture so the argument went. But still, he would not approve of barbarism and anarchy, which is what he saw as the end result of Bero's worldviews.
Still though, Bero seemed to be a young digimon, and might just be working out this stuff himself. So with those words, Colin remained polite in response.
"I see. I'm sorry you feel that way, but I hope that somehow you meet someone that you can see as a friend" he said. "For now, I think it's clear that we can't fit the bill, so I think we'll part ways for now. Still, it was interesting to meet you today, Bero, and I hope we can meet again in better circumstances".
With that, Colin stood up and bowed politely once they had finished eating. It seemed to him there was nothing else that they could do but to part ways. Luke, Bellamy and Gaz did the same, then they packed up their belongings and would return to Daedalus. The digimon for one were rather exhausted from the efforts of their spar.
If Bero had nothing else to say, then that would be how they departed, but they would linger if he had anything else to add.
