"Ooooh. So if not the shampoo, then what?" All things being considered, spontaneous hair growth was not what Nereid had expected from the already unexpected circumstances that had transpired today. It was as Andrei said, though. Ultimately quite harmless. "It's okay to take the bits! We can just get more eventually anyways!" She clarified, regarding the issue of money.
"...But, at least you know how to be nice to girls! I foresee a good ship for you!" Wait. What. What? Nevermind that, Nereid swiftly hopped down from her chair before she started for the train, not seeming to realize she might have just said something hilariously embarrassing for people to hear.

"I might have a theory but usually there there exist some... ahem, changes when you entered Digital World. It's usually just some cosmetics, nothing too changing. Usually your clothes changing, and that's all. Changing to one more suited for Digital World exploration that is." Freya suggested
"But aren't long hair impeding Digital World exploration instead?" Karin countered.
"Who knows," a shrug was all the holosuited Digimon can offer. "Either way, that's all the explanation I can give. Let's board then. according to this, it should be heading toward Terminus. Andrei, what do you want to do when we arrived there? For the meantime we can look for lodging, and then probably we can look for part time jobs you can work on. Keep your digivice with you, maybe it'll trill when your partner is nearby, yes?"

"I mean... If it's that easy to save up Bits, I'm sure that I could save some up on my own time." Andrei would insist with a small, sheepish smile; adding "I wouldn't want to impose too much, as I said before; but I still plenty appreciate the offer." He figured that he'd stick around for only as long as he needs; at least, unless he could find some way to return the favor or carry his weight for these nice folks. He wouldn't want their kindness to go unpaid, or to unintentionally take advantage of it, after all...!
At the mention of foreseeing a 'good ship' for him, though... Andrei would blink; glancing in Nereid's direction. He'd never heard of that term before, seeing as he never did have an interest in things like fandoms, fanfiction, or, well, shipping. ".... Ship?" He'd question the clam digimon - which, perhaps, would prove to be a mistake; not that he knew that.
As for Freya's theory though - about changes when one enters the Digital World... Andrei would glance down at himself - as though trying to see if his outfit changed at all - though... He'd quickly conclude that there wasn't anything different that he could see; and in hindsight, he probably would have noticed any changes while he was rinsing out his clothes! But still... "... Why is it that it only changed after the shower, though, as opposed to before?" He couldn't help but ask.
Either way, as everyone began making for the train, Andrei would think over Freya's questions. "Mm... I do wanna look into the plan you mentioned before; learning Japanese, going to the Embassy like you suggested before, working on finding a way back home..." He'd begin, slowly nodding to himself. "But in the meantime... Yeah; a place to rest, and a part time job of some sort, would be nice I think." He'd agree; stepping into the train and seating himself by a window. "Just... Anything to help me get settled in, really."
"And... Thank you guys for this, really..." Andrei would cast a genuine, warm smile in their directions. "I don't know what I would've done with myself, if I hadn't found any of you out there in that swamp."

"Yeah! Ship! Like...uh...How'd the French lady put it...Wait, no, she kind of didn't. Ships as in relationships! Finding an SO! Things like that!" Unfortunately for Andrei, he had walked into what may as well have been the biggest mistake in the room at the moment. "And as I said, being nice to girls is a good way to get a nice ship!"
Moving on from that, Nereid slid into the train, before she again tried to hop onto a seat. "It's okay! I like helping people--that usually leads to happiness eventually. And, if it's not obvious already, I like helping people be happy. Or helping pick up people who fall out of the sky. Either way, I think it's uphill from here. Just need to get your bearings after we get to Terminus."

"Part yes and part no. If you leave it alone you'll only get spare changes. If you work and do stuff, you'll get more. Basically if you just let it be you'll probably only can get 3 meats a day from vending machines, nothing more. My suggestion is to just take the offer anyway," Freya commented. "You need to pay for the inn, remember? And one day in the cheapest inn is probably 80 bits, and you have to share bunks with other people... meats meanwhile are 50 bits. A private room is probably around 150 bits, and that's with fluffy bed and pillow... you get where I mean?"
Oh boy, so Nereid is actually a cupid in action? Freya tried to hold her chuckle to be polite. This is precious. Either way...
"I'm not sure either, but perhaps the contact with water is all it need for it to takes effect? Either way, as long as it's not malicious, I don't feel there is a need to press it further, don't you think?"
Well, Freya understood what to do now. She nodded and write something. "We'll accompany you until Terminus, and on a certain place, we'll drop you. Don't worry and just follow the memo. Sadly there is a complicated situation between me and my old friend... but should you give this to him, he'll take care of you, I promise you this. I really don't wish to meet him for the meantime, you see... It's complicated, especially after I become this current me."

Andrei would blink a bit in Nereid's direction, at first unsure of what to make of her failed attempts to form the words to explain what, exactly, a ship was. As she would finally get around to actually explaining the meaning behind the term 'ship', though... Andrei would blink, before his cheeks flushed noticeably. "Oh! I, uhm..." The young man would begin to mumble and stammer a hair nervously, rubbing the back of his head a hair as he quickly and visibly flustered. "I, uh... Yeah! Being nice to girls is good! But I dunno if I'm, well..." Well, he wasn't sure if he was really interested in a relationship! He certainly didn't give it much thought, but... He couldn't deny that having a girlfriend might be nice... But that wasn't what he was worried about right now! He had to stay focused!
... Despite the fact that his face was getting even redder as he considered the aforementioned notions....
As they'd settle in the train though, Andrei listened as Freya explained the concept of bits, and how much it'd likely cost him if he were to rely on just the general accumulation of bits to get by. He'd frown a hair - realizing that... Yeah, it'd probably be best to take the money, like the Floramon had suggested. Else he'd probably have to cut a lot of corners just to get by and live comfortably, out in the city... "Well... If you insist, thank you both..." Andrei would murmur - lifting up the Digivice like Karin had instructed him to do so before; presumably to receive the bits in question.
With that squared away, Andrei would also watch as Freya began writing something down - presumably the memo that she mentioned shortly after, as she explained an old friend that he'd be meeting, yet that Freya herself wasn't keen on meeting. He wasn't entirely sure what the Floramon meant by it being complicated after she became the 'current me', but it sounded like rather personal matters; so he'd simply nod and not question it further. "Thank you, Freya. What does he look like, if it's okay to ask...?" He guessed that this friend was likely going to be another digimon - he figured it would be worth knowing what to expect ahead of time, before he got any surprises from a digimon beyond even his own current imagination.

"Oh, definitely not now! You need to get back on your feet and find a nice place to stay." Nereid insisted, the clam wiggling a little in her seat. Andrei was even doing that thing that humans do when inquired about ships. Which, unfortunately for Nereid, was usually not very pleasant for them. Not that the clam actually knew, of course.
"Congratulations, you're now the proud owner of some bits! I'd give you some of mine, too, but...I dunno how to transfer them." Nereid flatly admitted, before she fell silent. An old friend of Freya's? "Are you two still good friends? Who might this friend be, Freya?"
Simple questions, but important for Andrei, in Nereid's eyes.

"...Well, he thought I'm dead and all that, so I don't think we're that close of a friend anymore? Even so, I'm very sure that he would at least listen to my request. Think it about someone's last wish or something... mmm, well, if you ask what he is, I guess he's something like a person who I trusted with my intels several times? His store is something like a spa. I'm a regular there."
"A spa?" Karin repeated.
"Why yes. It was top tier, considering that there are not that many Digimons who can handle all species of Digimons. That's why his spa is the best! It's also rare considering that there are hot spring there too! Ah, would you like to go with me later, Karin-chan? Of course keep it a secret that I'm his old friend."
".........You know, I'm starting to worry about your mindset in trying your hardest to start a new life... is your old life that bad?"
Yet, to that, Freya stayed silent. Her smile faltered for a second before she shook her head. "No it was supremely blissful... but that's why I'd rather not dwell on the past and create new bonds. Deaths are strange, and humans and Digimons clearly have different view how deaths worked."
"..........But even so, wouldn't your friend would be happy to see you?"
"He probably would... no, he definitely would. I only can imagine he cried hard on my deathday. But even so, the old me and the current me... we're too radically different. Might as well as treat us as another person."
"....Not even all Reincarnation stories in the syousetsu gave me clue of how to deal with your situation, but you sure are headstrong... You know what? Talk to him at least once yourself."
"Wait where does that came from?"
"I'm telling you, I won't move from Terminus before you talked to him yourself, and tell him about Andrei."
".......I'm guessing that you'll reject any "no"?"
"Exactly."
Freya sighed, defeated. Looks like her plan backfired.

Andrei would still be flustered a bit as Nereid responded, insistent upon waiting until he was on his feet, and had a place to stay. "Ah... Yeah," He'd respond with a brief nod - pink still dusting his cheeks. He couldn't help a small shy chuckle, scratching the back of his head, as he began legitimately thinking over the possibility of relationships - prompted by Nereid's remark from before, even if he had previously thought himself unsure of whether he was genuinely interested. He couldn't help but ponder it all over, while the subject was still relevant! After pondering over this for a minute, though, he'd ask "Do you... really think I'd be good at finding a... good 'ship'?" in Nereid's direction. Ah, jeez - why was he worrying so hard over this? He'd laugh sheepishly to himself, rubbing his cheeks to try and get the flusteredness to go down. "Jeez, I don't know why I'm dwelling on this so much, this should probably be my last worry right now, aheh..."
Once he had his bits, he would lean back in his seat, peering down at the number displayed on the screen briefly. Bits... Hm. He guessed he now had enough to last him a good while, while he found his footing? He wasn't sure how long this much would last him, but it seemed like a good amount! As Nereid admitted to her not knowing how to transfer them, Andrei would offer her a warm smile - reaching over to pat the top of her shell. "It's okay, I still appreciate the thought."
Then, came the subject of Freya's friend. Andrei nodded quietly along with Nereid's questions as she inquired into who the friend was, and whether they and Freya were still good friends. He was curious, admittedly, even if he wasn't worrying too hard over Freya's relationship with her old friend - though if things were strained, he wasn't going to be one to pry. And... Indeed, things sounded to be quite complicated, given Freya's and Karin's ensuing conversation. He'd pull his knees to his chest as he listened quietly, considering it all, before he would decide to speak up, too. "If... I may," He'd begin - a hint shy - peering over in their direction. "Being uncomfortable is understandable, and wanting to move on from the past is, too - but... I think that, at the very least... Even if things won't be the same, and even if you end up not rebuilding that friendship, giving him and yourself both a bit of closure might be nice."

"Why would being thought to be dead not make you friends anymore? If anything, knowing you're alive would...not end up being something like that at all." The clam mused idly. "The spa sounds nice though, but I don't think it's something for my considering my aquatic properties." ...The fact that Nereid even knew what a spa was was astounding, really. "...Ooooh, right...Reincarnation." She murmured as she heard more of what Freya had to say.
The clam then turned her attention back towards Andrei, before she gave him the single most resolute nod of all. "Yes! If you put your mind to it and employ my 200% guaranteed-to-work-advice, you'll definitely find a good ship." Probably? Maybe? This clam was spouting crazy talk at this point.
She decided to focus back on what Karin and Freya had been saying. "Does Freya have to talk to him alone or can I come help...?" The clam wanted to help rebuild friendships. Maybe it'd give her an insight to making friends that she hadn't had before.

Looks like she's being lectured. Freya sighed resignedly and smiled. There are a lot of complex emotions behind that smile, but it's seem she's giving in to their persuasion. "Of course I'm not saying that we can't be friend anymore... I prefer if he just outright move on with his life, without being dragged in the past. Look, I don't want to give him hope that this happened to any Digimons but...Well, you're right. I guess I do owe him some explanations. I think I'll see him after all."
...Something doesn't sounds like it adds up, but it doesn't looks like Freya want to talk about it at all.
"Anyway we're here in Terminus... Karin-chan, would you mind if I... uh... ask you to wait for me in a cafe?"
"As long as you didn't just leave without actually telling him what's the matter, I think that's fine."
It looks like that Karin decided to walk to a cafe with modern feel. It's actually right in front of the spa that Freya told the other two. From the look of it, it's like a luxurious bath house. The moment they entered, it already showed it class by looking like something out of fantasy. Waters running from the wall, cascading to the waterway below, surrounded by some plantations. it looked quite zenlike. The clerk looked the incoming entourage and smiled. Looks like this one is a human.
"Welcome! For how many person?"
"Actually, I'd like to talk with the owner. Is Haineko inside?"
"Er... pardon me, but what's your relations with the owner?"
"Please pass him this and ask him if we can enter his office."
What Freya took out seems to be like a stamp or something... a seal? It's unclear what is the cylindrical object is actually.

Nereid's... 200% Guaranteed to work advice...? Andrei would look a bit quizzical and puzzled at that, wondering just what kind of advice the clam would offer, in the name of 'ships', but... Perhaps this was a sign that it was time for him to calm down a bit on relationship talk. He still felt a little flushed over it, but it would begin to fade as he nodded and kindly smiled in Nereid's direction, mentioning "Well... Maybe I'll ask you about some of that advice sometime later?" in suggestion, as he noted the train gradually coming to a stop. "You seem really passionate about this stuff, and I wouldn't mind listening to you some more, once we get some freetime - but it looks like we're here."
Meanwhilst, Freya and Karin would be discussing Freya's issues with meeting with their old friend. Frankly, Andrei wasn't too sure on what to say to it all - what he could say he either already said it, or the others had already mentioned it. But it still seemed like the Floramon was willing to at least try to talk to him, which was enough for Andrei; he didn't want to force Freya to be friends with this guy again, just... He wanted to see the both of them talk it out and have at least a little bit of closure, without just up and ghosting the guy.
Andrei would follow after Freya, as they stepped out of the train and made for the spa in question - supposing that he would soon see just how things would go between Freya, and this Haineko. They never did tell him what Haineko was like - which did leave him wondering just exactly what kind of digimon he would be, though he wouldn't worry too much about it. Instead, he'd peer out towards the rest of the spa, in visible awe at just how fancy and soothing the whole place looked. Even with the 5000 bits he had gotten earlier, he was left wondering whether he'd even be able to afford coming here, if he was so inclined. Of course, he was going to save his bits for more practical things and necessities, but...
One couldn't help but wonder, he'd muse to himself in conclusion, as he glanced back to Freya and the clerk - noting the object (A seal? Stamp?) that she was handing over.

Yep. Totally crazy talk. Nonetheless, the group had made it to their destination safely, and with no Trailmon-related hazards along the way. "Sure! You can talk to me anytime. My handle on Tamernet, if Karin ever gets you something for that, iiis...Dr. Nymph." Not that Nereid was an actual doctor yet. She had to work on that on her own time. As they proceeded off of the Trailmon and headed to the spa.
Good thing they weren't there for a spa day. As Freya began to speak to the clerk and requested to speak to the manager, the clam could not help but notice the...seal-like object being handed over. What could that be, hm? Strange! She'd need to inquire on this later.

Not few moments after the clerk came in and seem to talk something, the door swung wide and hard, creating a huge ruckus as an ashen colored Mikemon practically launched out from his office.
"WHO!? WHO AMONG YOU ALL WHO BROUGHT THIS SEAL TO ME!? WHO!? NAME YOURSELF, O BENEFACTOR!! PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT MY--Y-you..."
"Hey, Haineko. I didn't think you would practically flew here.... Well I guess that's my fault."
"Jeanne... You're Jeanne aren't you!?"
"Well, I was going to play a fool for a moment before, but seeing your reaction like this... I ended up unable to play the foo--"
The Mikemon immediately hugged the Floramon without caring other guests, sobbing as tears rolling down his furred cheeks. The frozen Freya only could gently pat his back several times. It took them about five minutes before the owner recomposed himself and looked at the rest.
"Ahem, I'm sorry... for such unsightly display... this... lady here, Freya, was it now? She's my benefactor. She was one who helped our small spa to be a big one like this. So, whe-where's Karin? Is... Is she dead?"
"...Haineko, I was just going to tell you that part," Freya groaned. "...She's amnesic, alright? It's... best if she doesn't remember anything, I'm still of that opinion..." she glanced at Andrei and Nereid "...I hope I made myself clear that I will not hear any protest for this one."
"I see... that sounds complicated... But... you're partnered to her again?"
"Indeed. I think at this moment it's best to treat me as another person entirely, Haiineko."
"If that... what you wished. But at least I'm glad to hear that my old friend survived in some way or another... Ah, but I don't think you're the type who would be tied by the past... what can I help you with?"
"You're sharp... I want you to help this poor child here. His name is Andrei, he's transported from America, and ended up here. Most likely we can't send him back until we fully understand if Digital Portal can be used to return him back or not. You can probably ask him the details. Just please let him stay somewhere in here, and all that... I'll pay for first month of his expenses. Also, teach him this world's common sense and japanese language. We're planning to get him some help from embassy later."
"...Hmmmm, that much? Well, it's not like I can't understand. You're always been a busybody after all... but that's what I like from you. Well then, Andrei yes? If you don't mind, would you like to take that offer?"

Andrei tilted his head a bit in Nereid's direction, visibly inquisitive. "Tamernet?" It sounded like some sort of messaging or text chat app, like Skype or Discord - at least judging by the context from Nereid mentioning her handle on it. But, otherwise? This was the first time he had heard of such a program; and he certainly didn't have a clue on how to access this supposed Tamernet! But he would still note down Nereid's handle - Dr. Nymph - and would note down to ask Karin about whatever this 'something' for Tamernet was later.
In the meantime though, he'd watch as the clerk that Freya gave the seal to would step through a door - to some backroom, maybe? Andrei wasn't sure, but he would definitely be startled when an ashen-colored cat would suddenly rush out through that same door, yelling and raving about who brought the seal! "A-a cat..?" He'd whisper to himself in brief alarm, blinking owlishly for a moment as the surprise and near-heart attack began to fade - though his heart would continue to hammer in his chest for a little while, as he watched the cat person - Haineko, from the sounds of things - talk with Freya.
And the discussion, well... Andrei would remain quiet for this - it certainly wasn't his conversation, and frankly... He felt almost as though this should've been something private between this Haineko and Freya, given the subject matter. It certainly would give the cat-man a chance to let his emotions out, at least; the young college boy casting a sympathetic look in Haineko's direction as he cried. It sounded an awful lot like he really missed Freya, though; or was it Jeanne? It was the name that Haineko called her by, though that probably was an old identity, then again...
Either way, he'd glance up to Haineko as he'd speak up to the both of them briefly, and only then Andrei would speak - smiling warmly to the other. "I mean, 'sall good...! From what it sounds like, Freya's pretty near and dear to your heart. I'd, well... I'd probably get pretty emotional too, if I was able to reunite with a friend like that." He'd respond in understanding, scratching the back of his head.
He'd also quietly nod in acknowledgement as Freya would, firmly, mention to him and Nereid that she was of the opinion that it'd be for the best that Karin not remember anything from the past, though... He wasn't sure if he necessarily agreed, though - something about it all seriously bothered him, even if he wasn't feeling confident enough to speak his mind about it. If she couldn't remember her past, would that just mean she'd repeat whatever mistakes led to this? What would happen if she did begin to remember, and realized Freya was trying to hide these things from her...?
It wouldn't be much longer before he'd snap from his thoughts, though, as he realized that his name had been mentioned; Freya speaking up about his predicament. He'd blink for a second, before snapping to attention - quietly nodding in confirmation to Freya's explanation at his situation. As she'd offer to pay for the first month of his expenses, though... Andrei would blink a bit - before mentioning "I-It's fine, Freya... I don't mind helping or working for Mr. Haineko in return for his help." with a sheepish smile.
And as for Haineko's question towards him, Andrei would glance to Haineko, and nod. "Yeah, I'd be willing to take you up on it, Haineko sir. I just, uhm..." He'd grin a bit shyly, remarking "I feel bad when everyone's trying to do all these things and give me stuff to help me, and I can't do all that much to help them right back, if I'm honest. I'd like to return the favor for everyone's kindness, though I don't really know where to even start."
