Wow, uh. Nereid wasn't expecting -that- to happen. The Syakomon nearly jumped out of her shell when the Mikemon burst forth from his office the literal moment he had been brought the seal. She slid on closer to Andrei, and whispered, "I didn't know Mikemon could be that color." ...As bad as that sounded it was actually true, Nereid had never seen this before. Furthermore, she repeated the name stated by Haineko to herself a few times. Jeanne...
"...Like Jeanne d'Arc?" She repeated out loud. Was that really what Freya used to be? More importantly, though, the clam felt like she had to clarify something. "You don't need to do anything to return the favor." She took a pause. "Oh. Except one thing, but it shouldn't be hard. Be my friend."
Nereid then looked to Haineko. "What's he gonna be doing here? Spa stuff?"

"Right," Freya answered to the Syakomon "My original adult stage was a d'Arcmon, thus was the reason for me to choose that name for myself. Either way... Andrei it's not like I'm lending you the money without much thoughts. That one month worth of rent would also cover all your needs for a month. We can't exactly just hope you'll get paid for that one month time considering you would need training first before you can actually work here, right? You know what the job entailed?"
"Even if we were to wave off the cost of the training and lodging, we can't really hire you if you're unhealthy or if you're not well fed yourself. Appearance is important in this spa. The worker must be as healthy as the people they're attending to, even if they're just janitor. My suggestion is I'll not charge you for room, and training is given to new hire, but as for food, we don't exactly have cafeteria for our staffs... So you should keep that one month money for your food instead."
"...And probably gym fee to keep yourself fit if so you want..." Freya muttered "I forgot how high end is your spa, Haineko."
"That's my bad, hah hah... Well, regardless of course we'll help you. I can understand your feeling, but if you want to repay Freya first and foremost you have to do well here, and if you got favored, you will be paid handsomely... after that, I think she won't mind accepting that money back once you're all set and comfortable."
Being friends is of course nice. "Why yes, we can be friends. That's fine with me. and yes, perhaps at first he'll do a bit of janitorial work to build off his stamina, afterward he'll be taught on how to do massages to our staffs. He'll be given various lesson on various part of the spa, like massage station, fur grooming station, and all that... if he felt he's not suited for any of those task, then he can decide to not take the lesson and we'll focus on another thing... It's six hours a day job, you see, but quite tasking."

Andrei would blink a little, briefly surprised as Nereid would slide closer to him, and commented on Haineko's furcolor- identifying the cat digimon as a Mikemon. "Ah..." He'd glance in Haineko's direction, getting a better look at his ashen fur and pondering over it, before mentioning "I suppose he could be an older, uh, Mikemon, yeah?" to Nereid in a similar soft tone - wondering how a Mikemon with graying fur might look. "Though I wouldn't know what Mikemon usually look like, to say for sure..." He'd add a hair sheepishly, chuckling to Nereid and scratching the back of his head.
As Freya and Haineko laid out the information to Andrei, though, he would quietly nod along. "So the 5000 bits that you and Karin lent me probably wouldn't be enough?" He would ask, scratching the back of his head. 5000 seemed a lot, given how much they mentioned food and housing costing before; but that, on top of paying for a month's worth of living costs... "Are you sure this isn't too much on you guys financially, though? This all seems like, well... A lot, to say the least, on top of the bits from before." He'd ask, concern visible as he glanced in Freya's direction.
And the gym... Andrei couldn't help but laugh softly, scratching the back of his head. "I might not be a heavy weight lifter, but I'm not unfit; I'd like to think that I'm decent with running and climbing 'round," He'd comment with a sheepish smile. "Back in Louisiana, I sometimes spent my free time trekking out to the forest near where I lived, just hiking and climbing around and seeing if I could find anything interesting." It's likely that stamina wouldn't be the hugest issue with Andrei, either, as a result; he might be a bit of a small guy, but he wasn't a pure couch potato as one might think him. He had to get content for his videos and do full-time work somehow, after all!
Nereid wouldn't go forgotten, though. Andrei would glance down towards the clam at her mention of him being her friend to return the favor, before being unable to help chuckling and smiling. "Yeah, 'course I'd be your friend." He'd respond warmly, kneeling down to pat her on the head. "You guys have been so nice to me, how could I not?"
As Haineko mentioned that he'd have to do well at the spa to be able to pay Freya back though, as well as listed over the different tasks he'd learn, he would straighten his posture and nod resolutely. "I'll do my best, Haineko sir." It'd be interesting, getting into the beauty scene with this spa - but he was determined to prove himself as a hard worker to Haineko, one way or another!

Nereid listened to Freya/actually Jeanne's explanation, before the clam nodded her infernal bivalve body a few times. "I see! That sounds really cool, honestly." Anyways, she had to quiet down for Freya and Haineko's explanation regarding what Andrei would be doing, offering only a small noise that probably signified affirmation to Andrei regarding the possibility that this Mikemon was, in fact. Old.
All things considered, this job seemed pretty doable for a human if they applied themselves enough. MOST IMPORTANTLY, HOWEVER. She got four whole friends out of this. This, plus the pat from Andrei, elicited the strangest noise that came from the Syakomon today. It sounded like a noise that a particular child-like entity that could become a squid would make. "I'll do my best to be a good friend, then!"

"...Excuse me, but I'll have you know that this grey fur of mine are natural, not because of aging!" Haineko interjected the two's talk. Looks like it's a sensitive topic to him... Freya chuckled and shook her head.
"See, you two... Haineko is used to be teased for his fur. Stressed cat, they said, but Haineko is actually about my age on my first rebirth so... let's say he's around 21-23 Digital World time. Also Andrei... don't sweat small stuff. Actually, you're doing me a favor. See, I don't have use for my old money... I know it's Karin's and mine and it's joint account, but...
Thing with us is our past is not all sunshine and rainbow. I didn't lie to you guys back in the Trailmon... We managed to get out of tough spots several times because our bond, but... at the same time, we lost more and more things that made us feel that adventuring is fun. As we go, the more we feel that call to Digital World is nothing but a death game that we can never escape from. Isn't that silly? If I and Karin walked together with such baggage called "past", then we can never can start anew, and be happy... I know some of you guys felt something like 'was it necessary'? In my opinion it is... that's why rather than sitting on pile of unused money, I decide to use it to help you instead....
If you don't feel that's right, you can just return it back to me later, but only after you've been well off, you got me?"
"Well that aside, looks like you're ready. Would you prefer live in or looking a lodging somewhere close? Whichever is fine, but the former is obviously cheaper. Just thing is you'll probably notice that the people here are kind of... noisy in many way." Haineko commented

Andrei blinked in surprise as Haineko would interject into his and Nereid's conversation - they were talking pretty quietly, after all! But then again... Haineko was indeed a cat, so he probably had pretty sensitive hearing! Whoops... "Ah, sorry..!" He'd sheepishly apologize, rubbing the back of his head a bit. "I'm... still very new to digimon - I can only count the number of digimon I've actually interacted with on my hand; so it's my first time meeting a digimon like you, Haineko sir."
And hearing Freya explain their money situation - in having money from their past that she wanted to get rid of, so as to not have any baggage to deal with... Andrei would frown gently as he listened - indeed, he wasn't sure if any of this was necessary; it seemed like something Freya could keep on hand for if she or Karin ended up in an emergency, after all! - but would otherwise nod gently in understanding. And hearing of them thinking about the Digital World as... A death game? That notion would make the young man visibly blanch a little - the thought of being in danger if he were to really go out there, well... It certainly wasn't a comforting thought! God only knows what would happen to him if they hadn't run into each other before, with the Gizamon incident, after all!
Andrei was quick to realize that his train of thought was taking quite the turn, though; and would take in a deep breath to reassure himself before he could let his anxieties get ahead of him. "Ah... Yeah, definitely, I'd like to pay you back sometime Freya." He'd agree to the Floramon's offer with a brief nod - before smiling down to Nereid; unsure of what to make of the noise that she'd make in response to his pat, but figuring that it was a good sign! "Yeah, me too! I want to show how much I appreciate you guys, once I'm able to get on my feet proper." He'd mention to Nereid - smiling warmly to the little clam.
Which, left him and Haineko. He'd glance over to the ashen Mikemon, briefly considering the options he had for lodging. Sound would, normally, be important for him to consider; given he sometimes recorded in-house for his youtube videos, but... That all would likely be put on hold, until he could figure out how to even do videoediting and uploading in the Digital World! Not to mention, he wasn't sure if the recording would survive the weird glitching and artifacts that it had towards the end there...
"... Would the noise disturb my sleep at all?" Andrei would ask - briefly looking to see if there was any sort of sign that would give him the opening and closing times for the spa. "'Slong as I'm able to sleep alright during the night, I don't mind lodging here until I can afford my own housing on my own; especially if the noises are only during the day and whatnot."

"Sorry! I didn't know if it was one or the other!" Nereid quickly attempted to defuse a cat's rustled jimmies while Andrei provided his own explanation to this assumption that Haineko was, well, old! "...I'm sorry to hear that it's a result of stress, though. I don't think that's nice to go through in the slightest." Nereid explained as earnestly as she could.
The clam found herself agreeing with what Freya had said. "...Mmhmm. You can't let all the bad things keep clouding out the good. That's not a way to live that I think my mom would appreciate." Turning her attention to Andrei once more, the clam tilted her head. "Don't feel rushed when it comes to showing that appreciation. Take your time!"
Sheeee didn't have much else to say after this. Maybe she should see about taking a Trailmon home...

"This is not from stress!" Haineko retorted, rolling his eyes. "I told you I'm natural!"
"I said he was teased for it..." Freya corrected "not that his fur was because of stress. But I agreed that he was quite stressed of a cat back then..."
"I mean there's not a lot who would like to invest in my business of making a bathhouse in Terminus, much less one that caters to all Digimon. They called me dreamer, and that I would blew up my cash reserve... that was true to be honest. I spent it all on research and excavating the right spot to get the water flowing. Anyway, we're getting out of topic here! Andrei, the sound that I meant is more to periodic bell that we rang on the morning... around seven? That's for the morning worker to wake up and start working. The other one is around 6 in the evening that we will rang so that the evening worker would began working."
"Actually noises are kept at minimal. This is a spa house and bathouse. Chatting is allowed in the bath, no one will get angry at you, really... but the spa part is kept to be therapeutically silent. That's why I think rather than not being able to sleep, it's more like you could get easily fell asleep if you don't have enough mental fortitude and stamina," Freya commented.
That aside... Freya agreed that there is nothing else to add here. "Well that aside, I'll see you all later. Andrei, I'll return in two weeks, but if you need anything, Haineko can tell you how to contact me. Here, Haineko, have my tamernet address I guess. Well with that being said, goodluck, and don't be shy to rely on this big sister more."

So, in a way, Haineko was indeed a stressed cat; Andrei couldn't help a briefly sheepish smile at Haineko's protests and retorts to Nereid's brief misstep, though otherwise listened to the Mikemon explain his plight, regarding what it took to get the spa up and running. And, certainly, it all sounded like awfully hard work for one digimon; Andrei would scratch the back of his head, idly commenting "Sounds like it was all hard work, but it seems like it was worth it for you in the end - I imagine you made back that money tenfold, with a place like this!" with a brief smile. "And it's a beautiful place, not to mention."
And as for the bell... Andrei would nod in understanding; that made sense, and it sounded as though this was indeed a 24-hour type spa. "Well... if I end up working here, I imagine I'd have a similar schedule to the morning or evening workers, anyways." He'd mention with a brief shrug, "I don't think that'd be a huge deal, personally."
And as for things actually typically being quiet in the spa and bathhouse... Andrei would briefly consider it, before scratching his cheek - musing "I mean, I think I'd be fine, 's long as I have stuff to do. It'd probably also help to figure out how I can get some music that I can play with my earbuds in, too." He was no stranger to slow days at work, or monotonous jobs, back home; and he usually was able to at least find something to keep himself busy and from spacing out. Here shouldn't be too different, even if the issue is more that the place is meant to be soothing to be in.
With Nereid's reassurance though, and Freya getting ready to depart, Andrei would smile at the both of them; reaching down to Nereid to give her another pat. "Thank you both, I appreciate that, and... I appreciate the help you guys gave me in helping me get nudged in the right direction. I'll find a way to return the favor for you guys sometime, I'm sure!" Andrei grinned brightly and happily, rubbing the back of his head with his free hand.

See, Nereid would have asked what it was from if not from stress, because she had genuinely never seen a gray cat-like Digimon in the world before. She wanted to know the scientific specifics behind this sort of thing! Yet, there was something about the cat's words that felt inspiring. Despite having all of the odds stacked against him, he persevered and managed to open his spa.
...Yeah.
Nereid could admire that. "...It does seem like a nice place to work at...So, I say look at all the options you have." With not much else to add? The clam turned to start sliding out of the spa. "Please, don't worry about paying us back too hard! Um...I'll try to visit when I can, I need to go home before my moms get worried!" And with that? The clam raced right out of the spa. And beyond.
What a strange creature, probably off to go ship some poor soul.

"For the meantime we'll actually cycle your shift," Haineko explained. "First month you'll be on either morning or afternoon shift, your choice. Next month, you'll go to the other one. Repeat that for one more time, and after that you pick which one most suitable for you. So that way you won't suddenly feel as if you got dropped out of nowhere. We'll also teach you how to do your works. By the way, most of our masseuse are actually humans. It's not known why but apparently humans got really nice hands that works best for beast type Digimons."
Music huh. "Hmmm, music... we do encourage the cleaners to put on music in their music player or something. Personal music player that is. By the client's request we may also play some relaxing music to enhance their experience. Classic ones, usually. But then again, we also plays ambiance sounds like trickling water, sound of wind, chirps of birds, that sort of thing."
Freya just chuckled. "That's alright, there's no need for that sort of formality. I scratch your back, so you scratch mine later in life, alright? Well anyway, If there are any emergency, like I said, go on and dial me. If later in the future you got any problems, such as procuring clothes and whatnot, just tell me too. Anything else before I poof for real?"

Andrei would watch as Nereid made her departure; chuckling briefly, and waving to her as she left. "Alright; thank you, again! See you another time!" He'd call to her, unable to help an endeared smile. Though Digimon were still a bit bizarre to him, he was starting to really warm up to the idea of them, too.
So they were switching between shifts for a few months, before he settled on one? Andrei would hum briefly, glancing between the Mikemon and Freya briefly. "Makes sense to me, I can agree to that." He'd mention, though he couldn't help but muse the irony in Haineko not wanting him to be dropped out of nowhere; when that was just how he ended up in this world, in the first place! Only real issue he could see was adapting to the schedule changes with the changing of the months, but it wasn't as though erratic work schedules was new to him.
And the fact that most of their masseuses were actually humans, too... Andrei blinked briefly, almost surprised to know that he'd be able to meet other humans here; though he couldn't help but wonder... "... Language doesn't seem to be that huge of a barrier for digimon, I noticed, but uhm... I, well, certainly hope it won't pose a problem that I only know English, since I imagine that a lot of the other people around here probably speak primarily Japanese." He'd state, though would quickly clarify "Won't pose a problem until I can learn it proper, I mean; since I know that we're planning for me to learn Japanese..." The last thing he wanted to do, was to cause problems from his co-workers being unable to communicate with him properly, after all!
As for music, though... "A personal music player works, though I noticed that my electronics have been behaving a bit strangely, ever since I got here..." Andrei commented; pulling out his phone, and turning on its screen, to show Haineko what he meant. "Are there, uhm... Things like that that are actually made to work in this world?"
Freya's further reassurance, though, would make Andrei briefly sheepish; smiling and scratching the back of his head. He'd insist, but how many times had he emphasized upon wanting to pay them back already? Instead, he'd simply nod and chuckle shyly; glancing aside briefly as he asked "Well... I suppose a quick rundown of any local stores you'd suggest for me for things like a music player, and clothes, would be nice. 'Slong as I know where to go for things, I think I'll be able to take care of myself from here; but uhm... I'll definitely remember to reach out to you, if anything does come up. Thank you, again..!"

"Digimons are rather polyglot, honestly," Freya answered. "So if you don't understand Japanese, your Digimon can help you. You don't have to worry to talk English with any Digimons, but some human workers might need some translation. But that's fine. I think there are humans who can speak in multiple languages too. People who work here usually wanted to seek experience in service industry. Being multilingual have its uses after all."
The problem regarding music player is something that she's aware of too. "That is because all digital items that came to Digital World will unfortunately malfunction. However, one that manufactured in digital world will not malfunction. This is due to paradox, mainly because Digital World is world of data, but your electronic device is like an interface to interact with Digital World. So this paradox causes it to malfunction. Does that makes sense? Anyway, ask Haineko for music player. I believe everyone here get one for free."
"That's right," Haineko nodded.
Ah shops. Freya looked at Haineko who procured a map and she quickly marked some down with different colored markers, and pointed at the legends down on the map.
"These are the shops that I would suggest to you. Shop, you go to this one, then for food and such, this one sells in bulk. There's also cheap restaurant for lost humans. Also if you go buy something, please ask a coworker to come with you. Some sellers are rather sly. They know new faces, and if you don't know market price, they'll mark it up. Also, while bodyguards are not needed, it's best to bring them to prevent troubles with bully Digimons. Well, they won't dare to mess inside the city, considering the moment they do, a police would just drop out of nowhere... Anyway, that's about all I believe?" Freya concluded.

Andrei nodded along with Freya's explanations and responses; figuring that it all made sense. Maybe having some other fellow humans to practice his Japanese with would do him some good in learning it, too...? It certainly was one way to look at it; though he did hope that there would be some multilingual humans here, too... It'd make things a bit less lonely, for sure, to have other people like himself to talk to.
The issue of digital items not properly working here, though, was interesting... Andrei would scratch his cheek a little as he listened to Freya's explanation of this; quietly nodding, but... As she mentioned how objects manufactured here didn't malfunction, because they didn't interface the same way human world objects did, he couldn't help but wonder... "Thank you for that, Haineko; though uhm... Would a digital device from here malfunction in the real world, then...? What do they interface with, if they don't interface with the Digital World like human world devices do?" Maybe that was a bit of a complicated question, Andrei realized; and would be unable to help a sheepish expression as he mentioned "Just, uhm, out of curiosity..."
Then, there was the map. Andrei would peer over it curiously as Freya and Haineko laid the map out, and marked out different locations; different shops and other similar places in the area, that he could look at. At the mention of having a friend to help deal with sly merchants and bully digimon, though, Andrei would be quiet for a second; before nodding. Well, everyone here seemed nice, so far; hopefully that wouldn't be too much of an issue to figure out. "Yeah, I think that's everything, for now?" Andrei would agree with Freya, nodding briefly. "Thank you again for everything, I'll be sure to get in contact, if I ever need more help with anything."
He'd offer the Floramon a warm, grateful smile; glad that he wasn't alone in this whole mess.

"That wouldn't be an issue," Freya answered. "Mainly because the Digital Objects over here are coded with special flip-flop conversion, which makes it able to function in real world as if they're an analog object rather than Digital Object. In a sense, it's similar to your Digivice, only simpler."
"Your trivia knowledge is really useful sometimes," Haineko commented.
"Well, I was curious too, so I asked. By the way by flip-flop conversion, it's a process of turning Digital to Analog and vice versa. So if you said you flip-flopped, that means you become Digital. However, human does not undergo such change here... at least not 100%. Only some parts of their organs are made Digital, so that they can eat and rest without much issue. And as you know, you don't age as fast in Digital World because that partial flip flop conversion. If it becomes full flip flop, you'll probably going to be a grandpa before we could even get you out of this world... so thank goodness for that I guess!"
Well after that fact, Freya nodded. "Well, then, goodluck, Andrei! I'm sure you'll do fine. Again, don't hesitate to contact me, and I'll drop by now and then, alright? See you!"
