The small, mysterious store known as Tir na Nog that recently showed up at Cat Street gained a bit of a reputation for the eccentric foreigner that ran the place. He sold all manner of trinkets and imports from his home country of Ireland, but the main draw was the man himself and the mysticism that surrounded him. Tall, thin, and covered in tattoos, it was hard not to notice him as he tended his store with a happy smile on his face. He offered advice and fortune telling for a price and was apparently rather good at it if local accounts were to be believed.
He was just opening up shop for the day and adjusted his coat. He listened in on the conversations that passed by. He could have set up at the scramble, but this was much cozier and let him hear local rumors a lot easier than in the busiest intersection in Shibuya. He tilted his head slightly at some mention of...DATS and how they're helping against some otherworldly threat. It made him double take. At first he thought they were talking about some new video game or TV show, but no...they were referring to this as if it was something that was actually happening. Interesting...well if he was going to be living here for the foreseeable future, then he might as well keep an ear out for this sort of thing.
Though given what's going on he figured he'd do a reading for himself. He set up a small table at the entrance to his store and sat down. He pulled a deck of cards from his coat and shuffled them expertly "Let's see what the cards say today..." he said. He looked through his deck "Hm. The Fool would be a good base considering my situation in a new land. Very well." he placed The Fool face up on the table. Then he would randomly draw three cards and place them face down on the table, underneath The Fool.
He flipped over the first card "Upright Magician...Power...manifested potential..." he muttered as he flipped the next card "Upright Death...? Hm. An ending. A change." he flipped over the final card "Reversed Hierophant? This...could mean upholding to personal views and challenging the norm..." he looked surprised at his own readings "All major arcana...I see. The realization of new powers...an end to what is thought to be known and the changes that come with such a transition...and a steadfast grip on personal beliefs." he grinned. "So the cards say, so it shall be." he put the cards away for now and stood up with his cane, spinning it a bit "Today is certainly going to be interesting, isn't it?"

"Oh, why not walk over to Cat Street, Connor? It can be an ADVENTURE." Connor murured under his bandanna, mocking what his Dad said before he left. It's bad enough his father was trying to get him to go outside despite, Connor specifically saying he doesn't want to go. Besides, he needs to get used to having HIM around.
Ever since he met his first Digimon named 'Armidillomon', he knew that a normal life here is no such thing for him. He took out his D-3 and held it infront of him as he stopped. "Hopefully, my Dad doesn't find out." He thought. There was no way he was going to explain who's who and what's what. He then placed his D-3 in his pocket.
As he continued walking down the sidewalk, he eventually saw something that caught his eye with him stopping. "What type of store is 'Tira Na Nog'?" Connor thought as he then looked at the window to see someone that looked 'weird' in his perspective. "Not sure if that's how you play Solitare." He thought, referring to the person inside the store.

He took notice of the young man outside and stood up from his chair before making his way over to the door. He opened it, the little bell at the top ringing "Hello there. May I help you with something? Or are you just doing a bit of browsing?" he said as he leaned against the door, cane gently planted against the ground to his side.
"I just finished setting up not too long ago. My name is Connor Finley, proprietor of Tir na Nog, at your service." he said with a flourishing bow. His cheerful demeanor betrayed the dark fashion sense he had. "I mainly sell trinkets and imports from my home country, but I also offer fortune telling through tarot cards to help guide people down a path that would benefit them."
"It's always nice to see someone take even a passing interest in my little shop. Spread the word, will you? I'd appreciate any publicity. Even if it's about the strange man running the place." he said with a light-hearted laugh. "Is...something troubling you? I couldn't help but notice you seem a little irritated about something. I've got time, so if you'd like..." he closed the door to his shop and stood up straight "I can listen, see if there's any kind of advice I can offer. Or you can go on your merry way. Either way." he shrugged a little.
He genuinely wished to be of help to others. Yes, he had a business to run, but if he let the business become more important than others, then he would feel as if he didn't deserve whatever success came his way. The best way to be successful and happy is to ensure other peoples' happiness as well.

Connor stepped back somewhat when he got his attention. What was funny to him was that his name was 'Connor' as well as he chuckled under his bandanna when he bowed. It also nice to get a full understanding of what type of store it was as it seems that he wasn't the only one in America. He doesn't know about telling people since he doesn't have anybody, other than his Dad, to tell. Considering that 99% of the people speak Japanese most likely.
When the other Connor was asking if something was troubling him, Connor shook his head as he really didn't want to get into what was going on. However, he didn't want to be rude so, he sighed and then retracted himseld shaking his head. "You wouldn't mind?" He said to him, referring to if he wanted to talk to him.

"Not at all!" he replied as he looked around "A pretty slow day today, after all. Might as well take the time to get to know people around here. So I've got time to listen if you need someone, anyone to vent to." he said. His glasses glint in the sunlight a bit.
He watched some people go about their day "This is such a lively country, isn't it? So crowded, everyone's got their stories to tell. Makes it difficult to keep track of everything but that's part of the adventure, eh? People and their stories are fascinating. The world always seems to be more than what you can see on the surface."
He chuckled a bit "Ah, look at me, I've gone all philosophical when you're the one who wants to talk about something. Let's hear it, I've got all the time in the world." he said. He thought about the reading again and wondered if any light would be shed on its mysteries during his conversation with him. Did he arrive in Japan during political strife? What exactly was going on that's gotten some parts of the public all riled up? People seemed stressed, paranoid, and fearful. This wouldn't do. Might as well use his knowledge to help wherever he could.

Connor didn't really like it when he rambled on but, he was right though. I mean, he does realize that there is such a thing called 'Digimon' so, there's that. "My name is Connor as well. Pretty convieneant. Anyway, I honestly rather talk inside rather than out. It's kinda getting chilly out here." He said despite having a jacket on.
He didn't want anybody butting into the conversation that him and the other Connor are going to have which was really why he asked to be going inside. However, does he really want to talk about his Dad? Granted, he's offering to vent to him but, what if he asks too many questions? That'll make things awkward.

"Ah, yes. Come on inside." he said as he opened the door, gesturing inside with the cane. He walked in as soon as the other Connor would. That was amusing, that they shared the same name. It wasn't that cold out though, now that he thought about it. He shrugged and stepped inside.
The inside was warmer, though. Various trinkets, imports, books, and more lined the shelves of his store. Translated fairy tales and books of folklore were strewn about. Connor went to his place on the other side of the counter and sat down, leaning against the fine wooden counter top "Right then, friend. What can this humble shop owner do for you? I'm all ears."
The shop was cozy, and there was a staircase that presumably led to Connor's apartment, so he apparently lived here as well. Quite convenient living next to a couple of cafes. "Off topic, but what do you think? Took a lot of work but I'm pretty happy with how the place turned out overall. I hear imports are rather popular in the area so I figured I'd try my hand at it along with telling people their fortunes."

"I guess you've been here for quite awhile because this place isn't bad at all." Connor complimented. It seems that he sells a lot of things including books. "I could maybe buy a book or two off of him." Connor thought as he then almost forgot what he also said. "Are you some kind of Fortune Teller? Back at New Orleans, there was this crazy guy who claimed to be one and trust me, it did not end well for him at all." He said to him to then continued talking after a few seconds of silence. "Didn't mean to be rude. It was just a bad experience was all."
As just as Connor was about to say something else, something beeped in his left pocket. He motioned the other Connor to give him a second as he distanced himself to turn around as he took out his D-3. "Not now, Jesse." He whispered into it as he then placed it back in his pocket. Connor then turned around to go back to where he was. "Sorry about that."

Connor felt a little bit of pride well up when he complimented his story "Why thank you, I-" he paused for a moment and sighed "Mmh. Yes. I'm a fortune teller. I assure you my methods are in no means 'crazy' or a way to weasel money out of people. I take great pride in my skills to help others. I understand where you're coming from though. A bad experience can sour many things." he said.
He quirked an eyebrow at the beeping and curiously and comically tried to peek around to see, but shrugged it off. "Odd cellphone model you have there, lad. Custom?" he asked, curious. "Either way don't worry about it. You had something you wanted to confide, yes? Well then, tell me as much as you feel comfortable. I promise I won't judge."
Connor leaned back and pressed his fingers together as he listened. He didn't have much to react to yet. The story hasn't even started yet! Though he was a patient man.

To Connor, it was good thing the other Connor didn't want to pry into what his "phone" is as he ignored what he asked. When he wanted him to go ahead and talk to him about what was on his mind, he sighed under his bandanna. "Just "Daddy" issues." He said to him. "I just don't want to be forced to do something I don't want to do is all. It can just be annoying." He continued speaking.
"Sometimes, I wish I didn't consider coming to Shibuya but, I didn't want to make it more complicated than it has to be. I just simply wanted to stay in New Orleans, Louisiana."

Connor nodded and leaned back a bit "Ah, so you didn't want to move here. It was a decision your dad made and now you feel like you're forced to go out there in the world, thinking you don't have much of a say in the matter...well that's both the blessing and the curse of someone's young years. They've got people to take care of them when needed, but they also have to listen to their guardians."
He looked at him and gave him a sympathetic smile "But I assure you that your dad just wants you to be happy. I know it might be difficult to see that, having been forced to move to a totally different country, but think of it from his perspective. Maybe he got a job opportunity that required this...and I think he simply wants you to get out there, make some friends and appreciate your time here a little more. So as annoying and maybe even overbearing as it is, I think it might be his way of showing that he cares about you."
"This is going to make me sound old, but trust me when I say you should do your best with this. What your dad is asking isn't unreasonable and I'm sure he just wants you to be happy in this situation. Though I could see that being a little hard given the...strange circumstances I keep hearing people mutter on about. Is something going on that I'm not aware of here in Shibuya? I keep hearing something about a government agency stepping in to handle some kind of problem, but parts of it just seem...strange."

Connor listened to what he said and to put it simply, he was absolutely right. It would be best if he makes the best of it. "You're right. I just wanted my own space for a bit is all." He answered him, now hearing him talking about a government agency dealing with some sort of problem.
What was funny is that Connor doesn't know about it either since he didn't really pay a whole lot of attention as he was mostly focused on something else which was his new "friend". "I have no idea. To be honest, maybe someone who's dangerous hasn't been caught yet so, they're expanding their resources. I mean, at least that's what I think. I haven't been paying attention a whole lot." Connor said to him.
Connor's D-3 made a beep as he ignored it, not wanting the other Connor to be even more suspicious. It woukd be a drag to explain as to what Digimon are, and vice versa.

Connor smiled softly at the other one's understanding of the situation "Family's important. You should take the time to respect your dad's wishes here. I'm sure the both of you will be just fine once you're a little more settled in." he said.
He tilted his head a bit as his glasses glinted in the light again "That sounds awfully serious...overall they seem to be keeping in on the down low...hopefully it won't cause a huge panic. I've got a business to run!" he said in a bit of dry humor. He sighed and frowned a little "I'm joking, sorry. People are more important than profit." he said, sincerely believing that.
Speaking of, however..."Is there anything here that would interest you? I've got books on folklore translated into a few languages, some good luck charms, or I could even tell your fortune if you'd like. I'll even give you a discount." he said, though he heard the beep again "Hm...is someone calling or texting you? If so I wouldn't want to keep you from something important. I know people have got places to be and it's not my place to keep them."
In the meantime he got out his own phone and started to do some research on what exactly was going on. Though it seemed like there wasn't much public info on DATS which was rather annoying. He wasn't a big fan of agencies keeping secrets from the public if it's truly an issue, panic-inducing or not.

Connor decided to bit his lip when the other Connor said something about his "phone". Even though, like he thought, it would be a drag having to explain what digimon are, it was best if he did anyway since Armidillomon would try and get out of his D-3 sooner or later. "Here we go." Connor thought as he took a deep breath.
"I appreciate the discount and all but, I want to also disclose another reason why my Dad wanted me to go outside more." He said to him as he took out and held out his D-3. "It doesn't look like much at first but, you'll see soon enough." He spoke under his bandanna.
"Hopefully I'm going about this right. Otherwise, I may have just messed up." Connor thought as he decided to direct his arm towards the counter as data started spewing out of the D-3, forming his digimon, Armidillomon. The digital monster seemed to have his eyes closed before opening them. He then had his eyes turned toward Connor as he smiled.
"Connor!" He cried, not acknowledging the other Connor's presence jumping right into his arms with his tamer comically falling over to the ground.

Ryouji would be walking down the street, hoping no one was there. Of course there were people though.
"Zero. Please remind me to bring a nah next time we go somewhere. I'm not sure how I'm going to explain what a Digimon is. Or a Chicomon." Ryouji said, looking at the two men.
"Ryouji are you blind? He has an Armadillomon on him." Zero said, noticing the Armadillomon.
"Yeah, I notice- WAIT WHAT?!" Ryouji was surprised.
"I'm going to go meet them!" Zero said, before jumping out of Ryouji's head and bouncing into the store. Though he more so bounced into the store door.
"Wait! They could be dangerous!" Ryouji said before chasing after Zero, then thinking "Wait I just violated my own logic. Good job Ryouji."
