Bero watched the explanation for Ariadne’s thread. In a way, he was happy it didn't have much use besides for himself. That way, he was never required to use it, and could keep to his own ideals and methods. He wasn't planning on doing much saving or helping the helpless unless forced to, so not having a tool which made it easy, meant there was not too much pressure to do so. He listened to the last of the explanation as he made sure he had his own example of Salve, and took his sample of the spool for now. It seems the last details of the mission were being passed out.
The rewards… again, something he wasn’t too bothered by having or getting. He didn’t go to this mission with a reward in mind, although any of the rewards could be helpful. He’d see in due time. He chose this mission for his own reward, and he’d be sure to get it. He looked to the other groups as they went about their business. Ophelia was disorganized, emotional, but passionate. The human with the sizable group of digimon was precise, organised, orderly, efficient. Bero, naturally, was currently silent, unapproachable and unfriendly. He was obviously the black spot of the team, but the other two made a good start for a team.
Bero remained silent. He had nothing big to add to the situation right now, and Ophelia’s jolly replies to anything we’re just going to piss him off more. His eyes held their irate expression as they observed every happening in the room and as he received the information that in 15 minutes this mission would be starting for real. Following that was a storm of movement from Tadayoshi and the many digimon he had at his side. It was only then that bero realized how much allies this group would count for. He wanted to keep an eye on some of them and what they could do, although he supposed leaving the organizing of them was the Human’s job. He headed over back to the seat he had a while back, and looked at the supplies he had. The knapsack of cheap rations was still there, ready to help him survive the days he’d be there, although technically food was likely not to be an issue. As he checked, he heard a voice, the Human’s.
“Yeah.” He said while pressing the necessary button, acknowledging the organized one’s command. He started to grab his knapsack, still having time to spare… but he might need the time since he might not know where exactly to get off the train.

"Well then looks like we're done here. Ophelia, as for what raw materials that you can get, that's a separate thing from the mission's reward. We'll scout it out for you. It's mostly all fire based materials, but if we got any different type of material we'll tell you. For now though let's focus on the mission, yeah? Just leave it to us," Tetsu assured. "Anyway... it's currently... 15:53:52! Synchronize your clock if you haven't!
This mission ends in 17:00:00 after three days and three nights! Whatever you do, I'll trust this mission to you guys!"
And that's when suddenly one side of the train opened wide, revealing the view of the island that is their target. The wind whooshing at them is the testament of how fast Ilbert is going. "YOU CAN JUMP OR USE YOUR CAR RIGHT NOW! WE'LL GET YOU CLOSE ENOUGH TO THE SHORE!"
In three minutes, the train has reached shallow water. The sight of the island was exactly as described before. Lot of primordial plants, the volcano that towers on the center of the island, wildlife that seem to not be Digimon but looked like crustaceans...
"ONCE YOU LANDED ON THE SHORE, GO TO TWO O'CLOCK FROM THE DIRECTION YOU'RE LANDING. GODSPEED, AND CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU GOT TO THE SHELTER!!"
Mission has officially started.

"UNDERSTOOD!" Tadayoshi yelled over the wind just like Tetsu now had to. To his digivice he shouted, "CAPTAIN, TWO-MINUTE WARNING!"
"I'M HERE!" The next time that the mission group saw the Commandramon, he was still appropriately in jungle camo instead of urban digital and wearing his usual pack, but now he was also armed for war: boots, gauntlets, body and tail armor, a helmet, even a black facemask. In his paws he handled a G36C assault rifle, responsibly pointed downward and kept on safety mode but also no doubt fully loaded. Ilbert slowed down. They jumped. Commandramon took the three-foot fall like a professional, needing to put one paw on the ground to stay on his feet but indeed managing it. Tadayoshi, jumping from a moving vehicle, didn't control his own momentum well and so fell over on his side. "I'm OK!" he instantly yelled to his partner to preempt any concern the soldier might've had. After he rose to his feet and tried his best to wipe the sand off his cargo shorts, one button press on his digivice summoned... an M1126 ICV. Out of thin air, seemingly.
"Start it up." While Commandramon slipped inside and started the engine, Tadayoshi explained to his fellows, "It's not a limo, but if you can't get where you're going in this thing... you probably shouldn't be going there." There was only space for Commandramon in the front cabin, as the group would find very soon. That left Tadayoshi, Ophelia, and Bero sitting in the rear on what amounted to two benches along each side. Yoshi set his pack on the floor and wiped sweat from his brow as the carrier sealed up, roared to life, and began to roll. The passengers might've noticed a plethora of different screens and displays up front, but there was no way they understood them all. Heck, Yoshi sure didn't. Meanwhile a ladder to a hole above them both gave a passenger access to the flashbang cannon up top and kept the metal carrier in blistering head from effectively becoming a rolling oven. "Ah, God, it's hot out here. Step on it, Top. Sooner we get indoors, the sooner I can quit getting sweat in my eyes. Ophelia, you have the directions, so we’ll follow you."

So the raw materials would probably all be something that she'd figure out once this was all over, then. Ophelia would nod in understanding, checking her D-Nexus to make sure the clock on it was right - before nodding to herself once it seemed that everything was in order. "All good here!" She would chirp over the radio. With this, she was prepared and ready to go! ... ...
... Or at least, she thought she was.
The second that the side of the train opened up, she almost immediately noticed the intense heat that practically slammed into her with the rushing winds - comparable to the heat that she faced out in the desert, from so long ago, when she had first met Eris. Her fur steamed slightly - almost as though her icy nature was fighting against the heat - but as the initial surprise at the sheer heat and humidity faded, she would find her resolve. She wasn't going to let this stop her so easily..!
She would watch as Tadayoshi and Commandramon jumped out, the latter looking quite geared up - and Ophelia was quick to jump after them with an excited whoop, a resounding "Whoooo!" As they descended to the shore below, Ophelia would stick the landing pretty decently - her feline nature most likely aiding in such - and as such, she'd land on her feet with only a slight stumble due to inertia. She would blink as Tadayoshi took a tumblr though, and was about to aid him before he called that he was alright - only to watch him bring out a device she hadn't seen before - at least, not in this shape...
And summon a giant vehicle, out of seemingly nowhere?!
Ophelia would look to the tank that Commandramon slipped into with noticable awe - "Woaaaah....!" - curiously admiring the tank until it was their turn to climb in as well. Ophelia wasn't too worried about being crowded in the rear cabin - though the heat was still uncomfortable, even if the open hatch above provided some fresh air. "How'd you summon such a big vehicle, Tadayoshi?" Ophelia would ask - glancing to him as she dug her D-Nexus out, already bringing up the map to figure out where they are, and where they needed to go, exactly.
It took her a second to orient the map- and herself - as she was still getting a hang of it, but she otherwise had an idea of what she was doing as she figured out their location, the shelter's location, and how to tell which way they were going at the moment. Once it was settled out, she'd show the screen to Tadayoshi - gesturing to the map with a claw. "Okay, so... We're here right now - right? The shelter's over here - and since it's the afternoon, the sun will be going that direction, so I think we need to be going roughly..." She'd take a second - before gesturing in a direction. "That way, right?" She would let Tadayoshi see the D-Nexus if need be, to take a look at the map himself - though otherwise, she was confident that she knew which way they had to go.

Bero waited in the dispatch room as one of the walls opened up and revealed the speed and height they were travelling at, the wind outside rushing by as the granlocomon slowly made his way to the arrival point. In the rushing winds, Tadayoshi and his army gathered and prepared for the jump. Bero was almost prepared for his own jump. He required his own last preparation, and that was grabbing his knapsack in his normal arms and holding it to his chest. He planned to use his cloak to help him assist in his jump.
Naturally, making a further jump served no real purpose. Tadayoshi and his army did fine with their simple jump, and Ophelia did just fine jumping out of Granlocomon. Bero though, he had a personal reason for lighting his cloak aflame and stretching out his cloak’s arms to grab the ledge of the doors. It was only a split-second after Ophelia had jumped, But Bero had catapulted himself out of the GranLocomon. He soared in the air, a small ways away from the other two, but still well within their sight and hearing range, landing on the sand, a bit further away from the water on the shore. In truth, Bero had no wanted to show off, split apart from them or anything like that. He had just wanted to keep further away from the beach’s water.
He watched the Granlocomon travel away, rushing past them until it was gone. In the meantime, the human had used a device to materialize a vehicle which they’d be using as transport to get to the camp. As he had jumped a small ways away from them, it meant that he’d have to walk towards the vehicle, and jump out in the back. Ophelia went quick to work to try and start navigating. Bero hoped she’d at least navigate properly. He didn’t need to get lost as early as possible. Bero’s size made it easy for him to comfortably sit within the are on the two benches. He dumped his knapsack on the ground and looked to Tadayoshi as he complained shortly and Ophelia started working on directing the two. He was apparently the most prepared for the heat, which was saying something…
Bero considered speaking, but he also considered not antagonizing the group this early on. Now the ultimate question, could he talk without being an asshole about it and say anything worth mentioning? No. No he could not, he knew this himself, so he did not speak.

The train immediately left the three groups of missiontakers to their own device. At first it it made a sharp turn, then it immediately dived underwater. What's there? No one know for sure, but Ilbert seem to not surfacing for a while anyway.
As the team drives toward the shelter, they will soon know what caused the ridiculous heat. From the volcano, there are stream of lava that practically pouring to the sea, through a deep, gigantic trench (spanning over ten meters from an end to another and is about thirty meters tall) that while deep enough still make it rather hot. Thankfully, it's seem that the flow is going to stop soon.
There is a bridge that connected between one end to another, enough to fit three of the armored vehicle the group is riding. It seems to have insulating properties as it's not hot at all.. but even so the group probably will found that their air conditioner is futilely fighting against the heat... thankfully it's only momentary.
The moment they out from that lava stream bridge, they would soon find the lush greens has returned, and that the air temperature slowly receding to bearable 32C (89.6F)...
And then, they will see it, located near a small hill, the shelter. It's a dome-like building, painted white and glow with blue light Solar panels installed in its vicinity. There are farmfield inside a greenhouse. They're almost ready to harvest. Probably it'll be ready tomorrow. Should they drive further to its front, about twenty five meters from its vicinity, they would find that the temperature drops again to 25C (77F), Inside here, they can see it. The dome actually erected a thermal barrier. Anyone can come inside, but it reduces the interference from atmospheric data to "ideal" temperature.
Very close to the main building seem to be an extension of it. It's shaped more like a tower with a capsule on the middle, and the top is communication tower.
Should the group came in, they would be indeed greeted with living room, kitchen (Albeit with no stoves, just plates, utensils and sink) and dining room. It's in the main room of the building. There are three rooms available in the shelter, but it's sadly empty bare some study desks and their own bathrooms. The second room includes a viewing deck, only not open to the air outside. The viewing deck is connected to the next building, which is the communication tower. Over here, it's seem to be a broadcasting tower, perhaps used for communication with other shelters. Sadly, it's doesn't seem to be fully functional, as a network has yet to be set.
By the way, the landline that Tetsu talked about seem to be close to the kitchen. There's a button that can immediately be pressed to talk with the "Owner", which is obviously Tetsu.

Once the giant metal tub was rolling, Tadayoshi explained to Ophelia, "The Landshark is digistructable. We can compress it to a small enough file size to fit into the digivice, and when we need it we just unzip it and, well, here it is." Of course, he had to yell to make himself heard over the engine's roar and tires' rumble.
"We are not calling it the Landshark, sir."
"Fine. I'll think of a better name later." He tried in vain to wipe sweat off his forehead because his forearms were also covered in it. As Ophelia went on to relay directions to Tadayoshi, he would in turn relay them to the driver Commandramon. Meanwhile, he was also curious about Bero, who had hardly said two words to Tadayoshi. "So, ah... where are all the humans, huh? I feel a little out of place!" During a gap in conversation, he went ahead and pointed his digivice at Bero and hit a button, which ended with a little beep. At that point Yoshi peered curiously at his screen.
As he studied the BlackGabumon, he and Commandramon both held their noses with one paw while crossing over the lava stream. The smell of sulfur was palpable. "Sorry about that. We're crossing over a river of lava!"
"That doesn't sound safe! Shouldn't we be evacuating if the volcano is oozing right now?"
"This is one of those moments human world science doesn't apply, General. This is actually a good thing! If the lava is flowing in a predictable path, then pressure isn't building."
"Consider me unconvinced." The good news? The drop in temperature felt like passing through a permeable wall to the boy's delight.
Several minutes later the captain would report, "Visual on destination." A couple more bumpy minutes, and Commandramon would proceed to park the vehicle reasonably close to the front entrance and let his passengers out through the rear door, then shut down the engine with the key in paw and exit himself.
"Nice driving, Top. Alright, Ophelia, Tetsu asked us to contact him as soon as we arrived. Would you please? You're KIZNA, after all." He then released most of his team. Naturally, the Rukamon wouldn't do well on dry land. "Let's get inside, then, and settle in."
"Sir, I suggest we not get too comfortable. There's still the matter of security."
"You're right, but we should do a walk through of the area first, see what we can see and decide how to handle that. Better yet, MetalKoromons: spread out and survey the perimeter. I want one of you at every direction on the compass, and I want an assessment on any weaknesses on the exterior." The little metal balls all beeped and whizzed before finally breaking their perfect formation to execute their orders. "Talon, give me a little recon from above. I wanna know about probable approach paths. Where can we be snuck up on?"
"Yes, sir. Talon! On me!" Jetmon blasted off with the Rocketmon twins close behind on her command.
"Yes, ma'am!"
"You got it!"
"Renamon, take Angel and walk the grounds around - the farm fields, the hot spring, etc." Renamon and Angel both huffed at this instruction, but they obeyed it. They left their packs, which Yoshi and Commandramon picked up "Captain, keep that key close. We'll leave the APC here in case of emergency. As for duties... I think that's it, really." On that note, Tadayoshi, Commandramon, and the Missimon siblings all ventured inside to that living room, sat down, and took a momentary load off.
Tadayoshi used the Improved Scanner on Bero. -An improved scanner that subtly displays a Digimon's combat information on your screen. If given a post to clearly scan a Digimon, you learn their name, attribute, type, and family, along with a quick description and two of their signature moves.

Ophelia would perk curiously at Tadayoshi's explanation behind fitting the tank in the digivice - so they, more or less, squeezed it down a bunch? That made sense, sort of! Data was weird sometimes, so it wasn't like she could exactly explain everything - especially with her technological near-illiteracy. She also noted Bero's consistent silence throughout the ride - though wouldn't comment on it. She supposed it was better than him ranting at everything they did - not that she minded it all that much anyways.
Instead, when Tadayoshi would speak up about humans, Ophelia would blink in his direction. "I dunno. I mean... Humans aren't from here, right?" She'd ask - recalling Valt and Ryouta's words about humans being from another world, before. "So I guess there wouldn't be a lot of humans here - like there's probably not a lot of digimon where you guys come from. I know some humans though, like Ryouta, and Amethyst, and Yuuki!" Her tail would perk and swish with the mention of the humans she knew of - they were her friends, so of course she'd be happy talking about them! "They're all pretty nice - and Ryouta and Yuuki are from KIZNA too, like Tetsu and me!"
But, then came the smell of sulfur - she, in fact, was probably the first to notice it given her sensitive senses. Her nose wrinkled, and she had to cover her nose with both hands before it became overwhelming - and the increased heat with the proximity to the lava river wasn't much better, either. She was, in fact, getting a little woozy from this between it and her thick fur - but thankfully, the temperature would begin to drop to a more bearable level as they left the lava river behind them - and with it all the heat and sulfur. The idea of the volcano constantly oozing lava was a little concerning to her, too - being more used to the frozen Terabyte Mountains - but she trusted in Commandramon's judgement otherwise.
As they reached the shelter, Ophelia would exhale softly - stepping out and stretching her limbs. She'd watch as Tadayoshi let out a majority of his team - noting the different scents that she now had a face to put to. With how intertwined some of the scents are, given how much time they all spent around eachother naturally - she couldn't help but note down, too, the scent of them all - the scent of Tadayoshi's 'family', as she couldn't help but mentally put it. It was like how she and her family had their own mixed-together scent of family, of home.
Nonetheless though, at Tadayoshi's reminder to contact Tetsu, she would nod and glance down to the D-Nexus in her hand; it having still been out, so that she could keep an eye on the map while they moved. She'd close down the map for now, and instead would work on sending Tetsu a quick text -
'me and others just reached the shelter. looks normal - not seeing or smelling or hearing anything weird. will look around though.'
- before sending it off with a satisfied nod. She would then watch as the different digimon in Tadayoshi's team would begin to scatter and move out to do their individual tasks - particularly the beeping MetalKoromon that she'd watch whizz off into the jungle. They were in-training, weren't they? "Will they be alright on their own?" Ophelia would ask Tadayoshi - a hue of concern at the idea of sending such small digimon out on their own solo. Sure, they could hide, but they were pretty shiny - they might stand out a bit more than the native digimon, much like with her and her white fur and bright blue armor.
As everyone was finding things to do though, she'd decide to just sort of... Wander around the perimeter, at least for now - "I'll go do some walking, in any case- may as well figure out the area around us!" She would begin figuring out where the edge of the thermal barrier was, and once she found it, walking along it around the circumference. Ophelia would bring the map back up as she looked it over - getting a feel for the area around the shelter as she walked, and occasionally peering out towards the jungle; sniffing the air, ears perked, staying alert for any scents - no matter how faint. Even the oldest and stalest scents could say a lot about who's been here, or who's been even just skulking around here.

Bero’s silence had indeed been a constant through most of the trips. Although he couldn’t help that as humans were raised with a conversation subject, his face grimaced more. He tried to hide this from Tadayoshi, doing his damn best to hide his disdain for the human race. It was practically assured to hold back the mission due to limiting teamwork! Sadly, but entirely expectedly, Bero was horrible in hiding anything he felt or basically thought. He barely held his anger at the mention of more humans in the digital world in check, small soft blue glows appearing on his horn and the nearby parts of his cape. They were even weaker than a candle though and vanished quickly. He muttered to himself, so softly that the sound wasn’t actually coherent. He’d keep his complaining to himself. Due to Bero avoiding eye contact fervently while humans were the subject of conversation, he wouldn’t even notice the scan in the slightest. The following data was displayed clearly to Tadayoshi: At the smell of Sulphur, Bero’s frame would perk up and all the annoyance on him would vanish practically instantly. He stood up and jumped towards the hole towards the gunner seat of the turret on top, his little Gabulegs flailing in the air for a second before he pulled himself up with ease. Again, he started muttering, but this time, it was more audible if someone would listen. “792 Celsius… 765 Celcius… high differences in temperature within one stream… high overall temperature… Temperature seems to get higher the closer to the Volcano… Steam likely comes from within deep the volcano due to high temperature. Long-lasting stream, stable. Environment adjusted to stream, Certain plants growing around the stream or making use of its heat… Plants seem fire immune. Logical possibility of plants slowly starting to form under the stream? Unlikely, but consider possibility of Fire plants for future scenarios.”He spoke to himself as they passed the river by and he continued to stare at it, there was only a last few measurements he could make before the vehicle would pass the lava stream entirely. “Smaller offshoots averaging 597 Celsius, closer to expected temperature for lava. Other temperatures close to magma, but not inexplicably so.”Bero started calming down as they passed the River. He headed down and some measure of sweat and signs of heat were notable on his own body as well, although it didn’t seem to hinder his movements or give him any visible discomfort. He jumped back to his own seat silently. He seemed less annoyed already. He didn’t start any conversation though, simply riding with the others until they reached the much cooler shelter. The sensible thing was quickly being executed by both the other parties involved. When entering, they covered both exploring the perimeter and checking the Shelter for any weaknesses. Bero finally piped up for a second. “Keep an eye for bone decorations or that sort of thing too, right? Bones on the ground or something could mean that Gajuma’s tribe has been nearby recently. They wore bones and stuff. Tactical guy,”It was to Tadayoshi he spoke, apparently failing to remember his name or purposefully not using him. Who’d know straight from the get go. “You going to do that whole strategy meeting thing after your uh.. Friends, i guess, are done?”Bero didn’t know exactly how the teamwork thing went, but he got little details and snippets of information everywhere. He had looked at how teamwork worked once, and Tadayoshi’s type was by far the one he could tolerate the most, even if it was just a stopgap measure of power reliance which should be dropped as soon as possible. Nonetheless, he hoped Tadayoshi would be willing to at least share the information. If no one would stop him, Bero would investigate the basic life necessities that the Shelter offered, since the other two had covered the more important stuff necessary. Bero was looking at air filters, temperature regulation, protection, cooking materials, sleeping places. He found that they were all pretty much where the kid who gave them the mission had explained they would be in advance, and all pretty much in the state he expected. The place to cook being lacklustre was annoying. He’d see what he felt was worth mentioning when the time came.

Good idea in trying to scout the area, however, due to the constraint and to make it easier to read, the author of this post decided to describe it in segment.
First, the exterior. The building exterior showed that it's recently just fixed. This came from the eight o-clock direction. The entrance is facing six o-clock. The tower showed no sign of tampering on its base level, but the air recon probably will notice at least three of the windows panel out of six on the tower seem to be recently fixed. The volcanic ash is thinner than the rest of the windows. The direction of the three fixed windows are on four o-clock.
The Metal Koromon would find that the twelve o-clock to three o-clock are mostly slightly more elevated ground compared to the rest. The steepest part uphill to the shelter would be from three until five o'clock. That path led to the hot spring below. The pathway that they took probably one of the easier one, but not as easy as the back path. The path on the nine to the twelve o'clock leads to the volcano. Air recon will definitely have easier time in scouting. The pathway that led to the volcano seem to host several small caves. Whether it leads to somewhere or something, that's unknown at the moment. Meanwhile, the path to the hot spring also is the path closest to a small river. They're downstream, but not really close to the sea, as what close to the sea would be a steep cliff with very small opening, leading to sense that it would be the reason why trades are impossible through that route.
Bero's suggestion came handy. Some bones decoration are found on the perimeter, specifically the edge of 25 meter radius of the thermal barrier. The bone that Ophelia would find seem to belong to either spine or arm bone group. Some scorched earth suggested that they have fire type Digimons ready. However, nothing else seem to be notable considering it's almost the ground is cleaned up
By the way, should she steps out from the perimeter, the temperature is around 30C. It gets cooler around the river at 28C, but obviously it's hot near the hot spring, with the water is at 45C.
The farm suggested that it was ransacked at certain point, but they have been mostly cleared. as of what makes this incriminating is the fact that there are still broken glasses on the corner of the greenhouse. However, they're a bit too small to be a problem. They're in the corner too. The machines that control the temperature suggests that it all worked well. A touchscreen near the door said that the plants are ready to be harvested tomorrow morning.
Tetsu's reply came swift:
Cheers! Looks like you guys arrived safely! Nothing gone wrong right? Oh right, for now try to check air filtration system and cooling system. It's located on the kitchen, just beside the phone. If the air filtration system says "all system green", then it should be working. For the cooling system, just try to drop the temperature to... let's see... 16C? Just for a moment. Then check your D-Nexus. If everything works correctly then it's all good.
...By the way, has there anything different that you guys noticed? If there is anything that you want to ask me, I'll try to reply as soon as possible.

"They'll be fine. Before I met them, their old job used to be acting as hidden cameras for a paramilitary force. They've been at this longer than I have." Ever the prudent one, Tadayoshi snuck one last scan in of Ophelia as she turned and left. Knowing his allies' capabilities was, after all, only to be expected. Also to be expected was remembering their names, but Bero apparently didn't get that memo. Oh, well, Yoshi gave him the benefit of the doubt because during the ride and just now Bero proved he did have a little interest in contributing. After he relayed to his team, "Check for signs of bones lying around. Don't forget, possible tangos wear them," through his digivice, he also spoke to Bero, "Good call that. It's Tadayoshi. So... it seems like you know your volcanoes. We'll have that meeting once Ophelia and the others have reports."
While Tadayoshi and Commandramon awaited the others to return with info, they left their bags in their sleeping area. Once that was settled, Tadayoshi asked the Missimon, "Why don't you guys check the air filter? Just look in the kitchen back there."
"Roger!" All six of them eagerly agreed before blasting off.
To his radio, Tadayoshi advised Ophelia and Bero, "One of you do that thermostat test Tetsu wants. Top and I are just gonna do a little inventory." While they did, the army who had been sent out returned steadily, each reporting all their relevant information as they came. Knowing about the local terrain, especially high ground and a cave network, was a boon. Knowing someone was going and robbing the farm wasn't exactly good news, but it was also important to know. There was an overall theme to it all, though: whoever went around breaking things also tried to cover their tracks, or so Yoshi thought based on the tower and farm reports.
The conclusions weren't easy to discuss while the group was splintered, but Yoshi asked his comrades, "Let's gather in the kitchen when you're all done. We should trade intel and come up with an action plan regarding security and maybe a few repairs."
Tadayoshi used the Improved Scanner on Ophelia. -An improved scanner that subtly displays a Digimon's combat information on your screen. If given a post to clearly scan a Digimon, you learn their name, attribute, type, and family, along with a quick description and two of their signature moves.

Ophelia would nod gently in response to Tadayoshi's reassurance; at least it seemed like they knew what they were doing, then... It still didn't feel the greatest to leave a bunch of in-training 'mons unattended, with her protective nature telling her to at least accompany one of them, but she'd trust in her companion that they'd be alright otherwise. She wouldn't notice the scanning that happened as she turned away and left, though it would nonetheless be very telling of who she was as a person, and what she could do. Ophelia - Spadamon Vaccine - Nature Spirits, Virus Busters - Weapon, Beast Man A headstrong and confident lioness, who has an interest in fighting using weapons - but is unafraid to use her fangs, claws, and fists in a pinch, too. Grew up as a wild digimon, in arctic conditions - implied by her heavy fur coat, affinity to ice, and less civilized nature - but has a loyal, protective, and honorable streak all the same.
Signature Moves: [ABILITY] Force of Will: Ophelia is stubborn and tenacious - even when a digimon tries to handicap her, she'll shake off the effect thru sheer willpower alone. This ability allows Ophelia to get heal a single negative status effect that may be afflicting her (damage over time, stat reduction, mute, etc.) [2 Turn Cooldown]
[ATTACK] Ice Saber - With a battlecry, Ophelia's blade enlarges into a long blade of ice, and she leaps into a flurry of jabs and slashes at the foe! Unarmed Variant: Instead of slashing, Ophelia leaps forward to bite and slash at the foe with frozen claws and fangs - battlecry still included. [1 Turn Cooldown] However, as Ophelia patrolled along the perimeter of the barrier, it wouldn't take long before she noted that there were bones and scorched earth scattered around, in this particular area. The lingering smells of charring and smoke made her wrinkle her nose, as Ophelia glanced down to the map; to check which direction she was from the shelter, as well as to text Tetsu about what she found. 'found bones, like from someone's spine or arm, and lots of scorching - like there was a fight, or stuff being burned. its close to thermal barrier, on the southwest side. am outside right now also but letting others know to check the systems.'She would pair the text with a few photos of what she found, before she pushed the push-to-talk on the radio. "Found some bones - spine or arm type bones - on the southwest edge of the thermal barrier. It's scorched here and there too, like they were burning something, or there was a fight." She'd mention, before continuing "Tetsu wants us to check the air filtration and cooling system, in the kitchen. Drop the temperature to 16C for just a little bit. He also wants to know if there's anything different or unusual that we might've noticed. Told him about the bones n stuff already."With that though, Ophelia would begin investigating; sniffing the air, any nearby plants that passing digimon might've brushed up against, and the bones - trying to identify the different smells and memorize them for later reference. Overall, this whole scene wasn't exactly a comforting one - since it meant that someone from Gajuma's tribe, or at least someone in general, wandered awfully close to the shelter. If she could get familiar with the smell of Gajuma's tribe though, then she could possibly smell them coming! And logically, if these bones were accessories from members of the tribe, then they'd be rife with the owner's scent..! Once she finished investigating the area though, she would move on to continue patrolling until she made a full loop of the shelter - before beginning to head back, if nothing happened along the way - keeping an eye on her D-Nexus, and her ears and nose alert.

“Tadayoshi… I’ll make an effort.” Was all Bero could really guarantee him. Was it genuine? He had no idea. Bero was kind of more controlled by his mood, and hating humans for his own reasons was a 24/7 mood, so he couldn’t guarantee he’d find himself making an effort to remember. To be fair though, the same went for Ophelia’s name, although she was better than most overly just types, she just ended up aggravating him the one time he would not engage in battle. What an unfortunate tease.
While Bero investigated simplicities like beds and conveniences, the other two were already giving off interesting information. Notifications about bones and whatnot, Ophelia sharing some basic information and telling about Tetsu’s request. After that, it seemed Tadayoshi wanted someone else to do the temperature test that Tetsu was asking for. Bero huffed, it seemed neither of them were going to get to it, so he was going to have to do it. Honestly, he was probably the least suited to try doing it here. There weren’t many civilized digimon much closer to a wild savage than Bero was, but apparently, he was expected to try it.
“Doing the temperature thing.” Bero told them before he navigated his way through the kitchen. Having found it’s lacklustre nature, he continued to focus on the requests. There was something about the air-filtration system as well, but he found himself joined by a Missimon of sorts in the kitchen area, where both the indicator for the air-filtration system was and the thermostat was. Bero wasn’t too good of reading information on tech, so he figured having the Missimon investigate the Air filtration system would be fore the best. He managed to eventually figure out the thermostat buttons, although it took half a minute of staring at the system. He managed to work the temperature down to 16°C.
Tadayoshi had then told them they’d be meeting up in the Kitchen, which was convenient for Bero, since he was already there to check out the general facilities in the kitchen and been in the area. He figured he didn’t need to tell anyone he’d be waiting there and they’re meet him there. He leaned against the supposed cupboards of the ‘kitchen’, which was a generous name considering it was a sink with some cutlery and plates.

Winding down is nice isn't it? Both the air filtration system and the thermostat is working as expected. The entire 25 meter radius from the shelter immediately switched to 16C degree. Apparently there are two modes. One that only affect the shelter and one that affects the entire 25 meter radius from the shelter. Ophelia might not find the smell that she want from this one. Though if she does smelled the bone, it would most likely make her retch.
Tetsu's reply came a bit later
Spine? Ew, ew, ew. No thanks. I never seen someone that crazy. Whoever doing that must be have a shitty sense of humor or wicked honor. The scorching must came from three days ago. I sent some worker to fix the greenhouse. It was raided few days ago. It's the reason why I hired you guys, because they're attacked... but I don't remember anything about the people commenting about spine and arm bones...? None of them are loaded or killed either. Not the enemy's side, not our side. The workers believed that Gajuma's tribe is the one doing it.
Oh yeah, if the schedule of the harvest is right, then the plants will be ripe tomorrow. Here are the lists, so you can ration yourselves: Sirloin - Everday harvest Small Meat - Everyday harvest Cracklepepper - Tomorrow Breadfruit - Today and two days later Muscle Carrot - Tomorrow Hawk Radish - Tomorrow Rain Plant - Today
Crackle Peppers are useful to be tossed at enemies, or to season your meats. Careful they're... hot. Rain Plant is useful if you want to summon a raincloud. There should be enough to make a 25 meter radius rain. Other than that, it can be used as susbtitute drinking water... The rest are just foods.
By the way, me and Gryz will take shift in answering your question... I don't think I can wake up 24 hours for three days...

Obviously this shelter was not made for lots of space, which was unfortunate because it meant Tadayoshi and his entire army minus Rashi were squeezing into the kitchen with Ophelia and Bero. It worked but only if no one was claustrophobic. After everyone shared their intel, Tadayoshi declared, "Alright, that fits well with what we were thinking." In order to share Silence's plan he needed to make sure he was heard, so he hoisted himself up to sit on a counter before proclaiming, "Here's what we should do: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Gulf, Hotel!" Each MetalKoromon beeped when its name was called. "You're on a 24-hour watch for the next three days unless recalled! I want you MetalKoromon on the very edge of our property at clock points twelve, one, two, three, five, seven, nine, and eleven. Keep covered in dirt to hide your shine and report any movement. You're our early warning system." They all synchronously made a boooop sound, which Tadayoshi knew meant understanding.
"The remaining points will be regularly patrolled by Renamon, Jekyll with Hyde, Angel, and Hagurumon. Can't post them out there 24/7 because they have to sleep, but we can feed you with the feed program. You'll all be equipped with DRM's, which should raise your odds of finding instead of being found." Hagurumon gulped. Tadayoshi noticed. He joked, "You should consider yourself lucky. You haven't done anything remotely dangerous since joining us. I'm sorry, but we can't really spare a lot of manpower. This ideally gives us 360-degree early warning against intruders from every direction, and it also leaves the captain, the lieutenant, and the Missimon as backup and extra hands back here as well as myself. I think I'll be kept busy coordinating security, but we'll also help with the chores however I can."
"Ophelia, Bero, I'm not in charge of you, so I guess you'll have to make yourselves useful however you know. My advice would be to establish a regular maintenance and system check schedule, keep up with the farm work, do a little cleanup - I won't be mad if no one will touch those bones," Tadayoshi looked a bit nauseated thinking of that. "- or pick up a scout or patrol shift if that's your fancy. Just... please, there's healthy, well-deserved resting, and there's laziness. That goes for you guys, too."
"Yes, sir."
"Understood, sir."
"We-"
"-won't-"
"-let-"
"-you-"
"-down-"
"-boss!"
Yoshi hopped off the counter, then, supposing that was all, but he had one last thought: "Oh, one more thing! The evidence suggests intruders are covering their tracks. We should ask Tetsu and Gryz whether they ordered any repair and cleanup projects recently. Whatever they don't say they did must have been someone else."
