The sounds of the busy city blared out in Shibuya, as usual as it always did. That gray sky and rainy weather making it not the best time of day to come out. However, luckily it being Sunday, Shino had the time to just rest and do things at her own pace. She looked out her window briefly as she saw the rain pour down on the streets. She could see the towers and the buildings beyond.
Shino was a quiet girl, her head either always in the books or on her computer. She didn't have many ambitions regarding her life, having had a tough upbringing since the death of her parents. FOr now, she just was trying to endure the harsh realities of high school. It was never easy , especially when you were bullied for being smart... or having glasses.
But today she just tried to let it roll off her back like the rain did on her windowsill as she watched things pass by.
"Shino!" a voice called for her. Her glasses, foggy from the mist of her window, shimmered as she turned around to the sound. "Shino. Mind coming down here for a bit. I could use some help down here."
Sitting at her window sill, in her narrow and cluttered room, she pushed off the small resting area and quickly changed. She tossed on her shorts and straightened up her hair into tails before she ran down the stairs.
She quickly dashed down and slipped into the slippers at the bottom of the stairs that soon opened to the cafe. She emerged behind a back room-- and into a desk area where her uncle was. Sojiro, an older man with black hair, goatee and kind looks-- despite his habit to be as tough as nails when things got rough. As to be expected from a retired member of the police force.
"Hey, sorry to bother you, but do you think you can watch the shop while I run upstairs real quick?" he asked.
"Sure," Shino replied calmly with a smile. "I don't mind. I was just resting a bit. You do realize that watching the shop is pointless when there is barely enough business here." she teased with a smirk.
"Oh, don't get sassy with me, kiddo. Be back before five minutes." he laughed giving her a pat on the back.
Shino lived with her Uncle, who now ran a small internet cafe. Internet cafe, actually was not doing it justice as it was now a used book store, coffee shop and computer uses for customers. While the use of an Internet Cafe was a dying breed, there was an old vibe to it that kept bringing in customers who sought the antiquity of the early late 90s. The Cafe was used from a variety of things, for people to use its internet or for people to play games-- given that the protections held. But Sojiro was clever enough to have 'controls' to keep users from accessing programs or web access they were not supposed to.
Her guardian was clever, but she had grown clever as well.
It seemed like a pointless business, but whenever Shino asked him why he did it when he was retired, he simply said it was good to have hobbies. That, and also learned he did consulting work for the police and law agencies in the cyber division.
For now, she looked at the small cafe area of the shop, seeing only an elderly couple enjoying some coffee and a teen tapping away on his smartphone. A sigh escaped her as she soon hoped she could return to her computer, so she could jump into the game she played whenever she needed to blow off steam.

Coffee. Coffee! Coffee! By God, Tadayoshi would have given up oxygen for six minutes if it meant he could just have a decent cup of coffee, even with his knowledge that the human brain begins to die after five minutes. Brilliant tactician that he was, he would have given that all away just to stay awake for a few more hours. During Shino's shift, a young man around her age stepped inside, and his need was apparent with one look at him. He wasn't standing up perfectly straight, was still in his school uniform, and he had enough bags under his eyes to stock a grocery store.
Under that, it was still obvious this kid was a Japanese native and, on most days, a quite well-kept one. His hair was buzz cut real short, and his clothes looked like they came right off their last ironing. The boy had a messenger bag which swayed carelessly as he approached the counter behind which Shino worked. "Hello, ma'am," he greeted with a respectful tone. "Er... I'm sort of providing for a large party here. I need..." Tadayoshi began to list off - from a physical list, no less - a series of six different coffee orders, each more needlessly convoluted than the last, before ending with, "...and mine just black, please." After providing a card for payment, he added seemingly impromptu, "And, um..." He checked his watch. "Two hours online, please. The internet is out at my home."
That was a complete lie. The real reason was that the boy wanted to use the two hours between school and clocking in with AEGIS to wake himself up and indulge in a new addiction of his: online gaming. The problem was he could never do that at home, where he was only ever allowed to sleep or study. This cafe, then, seemed like an oasis in a desert full of monotony and homework. He took a seat fairly close to the counter, withdrew a laptop from his bag and booted up. From his back pocket, he extracted a bulky blue-and-silver device and said to it, "Renamon, I'm not getting you anything else until you settle your tab. This is getting ridiculous," though he was trying to be hush about it.
It said back to him in a female voice, "Fine. It's one of the only redeeming qualities about your side of the portal anyway," which was hissing more than whispering but still keeping it down.

Shino was pretty much resting with her elbow keeping her prompt as things were dead... till the stranger came in. She would have considered this stranger somewhat handsome... if not the bags under his eyes, and the pauses in his speech. For a moment, she worried the guy was drunk or something. "Um, I'm sorry.. but are you okay? " she was quick to ask, not being super professional but concerned. But at his request, she was better to handle the customer. "Sure of course, I'll ring you up for the internet time. Do you have a computer? If not I'll give you the password. As for the coffee, I'll get right on that. The ones you'll take to your friends can wait till you finish your net time. Just come to the desk whenever your ready. " she said kindly.
Everyone came to the cafe for one reason or another. But one thing that they stayed for was the good coffee. She didn't know how but Sojiro was an expert at making different blends and styles. He was a bit of a conosour when it came to his coffee beans, and his food. Compared to her time in foster care, she ate like a queen with him whenever he wasn't busy with work or consulting.
She took the Brazilian coffee that was simmering and poured a cup for the guest. Keeping it warm in a tall cup, she brought it over and bowed politely. Despite in casual attire, she kept professional while at the register. "Thank you for your service. Please let us know if you need anything else." she said sweetly.
At that time, Sojiro returned downstairs. He soon saw the new customer and nodded to Shino in thanks. "Ah, nicely done, Shino. I can take over now. Why don't you take a seat and I'll cook up something for lunch." he said.
"Thanks-- Oh, that guy over there will be making a big coffee order to go when he is done. Just wanted to let you know," she said.
With that, she quickly ran upstairs to grab her laptop, which sat in her bag near the edge of the staircase. As she came back down, she sat herself down at another table and opened it up. Feeling the itch to do something 'aggressive', she soon opened up the screen's icon and load screen for a certain shooter game...
..."Overwatch". It was a new but straight forward FPS online game. Though Shino was always interested in a variety of things, she always liked to use the game to sharpen the fictious skills of sniper shooting. As she logged in, she saw the game mode selection screen.
After a bit of time and plugging in her mouse, she scrolled down till she found it. "Death-match"-- the Mode for players to run around and kill whoever they found for a set time period. Even if you died after 20 seconds, you would revive in a random location and as a new character if you wanted to hunt enemies again. The winner were those with a high enough score, at least the top four.
A smile came to her face as her glasses hid the intense look. She soon logged in, as both her gamer handle and her hacker Alias.
"NEMISIS"
Little did she know, someone in the same cafe was playing the same game... and wound up in the same quoue to join the Deathmatch.

Tadayoshi was so gone that he completely missed it the first time Shino promised to make his order after his net time was over. "Thank you, ma'am. Tell me the password, please." Were he a little more awake he would have heard and said something to the contrary. In the meantime, though, he took a seat, booted up, and logged on.
Death-match. I wish I had time to break the rules like this more often! It seemed like Tadayoshi hardly had any free time anymore. Yes, he had to keep up his studies, but that wasn't new. Yes, he had to make frequent trips across the portal, sometimes for digital days at a time for mercenary work, but that wasn't new anymore either. Yes, he had duties as an agent of AEGIS, the first line - the formerly first line of defense for Shibuya against digital incursion. That, too, was no longer new. What was really draining Tadayoshi lately was his complete failure in leading the Scramble Crossing defense and all its consequences. Now his agency was playing second fiddle to the government-sanctioned fools. Even worse? His chief's sudden sabbatical left him and another agent with impromptu promotions to co-chiefs.
The other boy was competent enough, so Tadayoshi couldn't really complain, but Yoshi knew the only reason that boy got the job was by being the chief's little brother. At least she had enough sense to promote someone unrelated as well, but Tadayoshi wasn't so certain he was the right choice. As the second-newest member of the group, not to mention his last embarrassing defeat, he was doubting himself lately.
"Hmm?" The second time Tadayoshi overheard Shino explain the situation of his order, and he knew that just wouldn't do. He knew the Spymaster without her coffee was one ugly beast. So, he called across the cafe, "Actually, ma'am, please start making it now. The others, they'll be here soon." Actually they were there already, in Tadayoshi's back pocket. He decided not to share that.
NEMESIS might have noticed Trigger_Happy in her game, or she might not have because he would be just another target to her. If she did, she would've probably also seen he wasn't very good at the game, really. He died a lot more than he killed, but that was OK. For Yoshi, the thrill and fun were all he needed.

Sojiro was the one now at the desk and happily began to prepare the order. Shino was already in her own world as she was now on the prowl with her sniper rifle...
...
The field was an Egyptian themed ruin, with multiple floors, windows, caves, stairs and many avenues. It gave her an advantage as a sniper, cause she could scale high areas and snipe from the safety of the high ground. The problem was, many players liked to play sniper, so it was always a game of 'hide and seek' for the best spots and anticipating where the target would be.
The army-camoflagued and green haired girl quickly found her spot-- a small window angled at the far low corner hidden under an archway. She could see a few players run along the bridge, trying to get to the doorway.
Her gaze focused on the scope, magnifying her vision as she saw her target...
"Bye-bye..." she said.
The bullet flew with a bang, as far as a computer-simulated anyway, and she nailed it. As she scanned another target, she saw another one trying to run in another direction, using auto-fire rapid shots at a fleeing target. But alas, his back was to her.
"You should be watching your six, Trigger_Happy..." she said, both in the game and real life from the comfort of her table. She aimed right for the avatar's blank head and fired.
BANG!!
"Yes!" Shino exclaimed, jumping in her seat-- right at the same time that 'Trigger_happy" got shot. The sheer exclamation would no doubt cause a reaction to whoever heard her, even worse if the person playing the character she killed was there. In a somewhat embarrassed means of recovering her composure, she sunk back down, adjusted her glasses and returned to her keyboard.
By that time, the old couple in the shop had decided to go, leaving the shop just between her and Tadayoshi, her ignorant that she was the one killing him.
However, something odd happened...
Every character had a green user name tagged above their head. That, and they were human-like figures. But something completely odd happened. There was a sudden flicker in her field of vision... and an odd creature emerged out from hiding into the field of the game.
"Huh..? What is that?" she gasped.
The creature was a pixilated skin-like pattern, like a digital camouflage. It was a tiny dinosaur creature with a military backpack, metallic plates on its body, an army helmet, and a rifle! What truly made it stand out was the icon above its head was a mess of symbols and bugged text. It was clearly not a player character.
In this game, there were rare spawns of monsters that gave bonus points to the player who killed it, but it also made it easier for those focused on killing enemies to take advantage of it and kill the other players. Still, Nemesis was curious by this creature and why its text was distorted.
For Tadayoshi... he might recognize who this 'bugged enemy' was.
"@#$*(_)!"

In any case it looked like Yoshi's order was coming, so that was the most important thing. That let him, for the moment, focus on the game.
Bang!
"Come on..." Tadayoshi fell gloriously in battle... again. This time he heard his own name spoken aloud by the girl who took his coffee order, who was now sitting by the table in front of him. Curiously, he peered over at her, over her shoulder to find she was indeed his killer. She appeared quite happy with herself considering all she'd done was drop a sitting duck. Tadayoshi's first thought was to report her for playing games on the job, but he just couldn't be bothered in his current state.
"She's right, you know," critiqued an actual sniper in Tadayoshi's right back pocket.
"Remember when I told you to close your mouth?" The young man grumbled bitterly but quietly, "Consider that a standing order." That left Tadayoshi with twenty seconds of downtime to reflect on his failures, dreams, and the nature of the universe before he was back to the grind. Alright, I can at least place above the bottom still. Honest a boy as Tadayoshi tended to be, he was being gifted a wonderful opportunity to cheat. Who should be watching whose six, NEMESIS? He silently mused as he peered over the girl's shoulder at her screen. He was already breaking the rules by playing at all, after all, and she was now making quite the fuss like she was looking at something interesting. He was ready to duck back down on the off chance Shino turned around, but when his eyes met the sight of a digimon onscreen his eyebrows did a jump. That's a-
Abandoning the game, Yoshi dug in his pocket for his Loader. He faced the screen toward himself and held one finger to his lips, reminding those inside to keep quiet. Then he faced the screen toward Shino's to let the others see what he was seeing. While he did that, his free hand moved his character to try and sprint at NEMESIS' location... assuming he didn't get chewed up on the way there. Now? With DATS on the prowl? This is not a good time! His hand clutched the loader like a stress ball. He didn't know what was about to happen, but he was terrified he might just have to deploy a digimon and display a badge in order to deal with it.

Both the idled avatar and Shino herself looked confused at the bugged avatar of the gun-toeing dinosaur. She certainly never saw one like that or that modle to be one of the conventional NPCs the game deployed. It could of been a super-rare one to kill, but she doubted it. It could of also been another player who had hacked his or her avatar to make it look like that. Illegal hacking of games... the worst...
... well, hacking games were no fun for NEMESIS anyway.
If Tadayoshi had knew about present data history, the word NEMESIS would of been something he would recognize. But for here, she just focused. "Well, aren't you kind of a cute little target? Let's see what you got." Shino said as she moved position.
She used a powerful zipline to allow her to move as she quickly followed its line of path to find a new angle. She quickly sprinted through a room and jumped down some ruined stairs. Finding a jump-pad, she jumped up and over, finding a new hall to get to. NPCs normally followed set patterns of movements and attacks. While it was attacking the 'newbs' about, she got into position.
The little bugged dino was now going after 'Trigger_Happy' since his IRL self was distracted by the presence of the bug. However, Nemesis now had it in her sights. She was preparing to intercept and see it through a window...
... and just as it was about to appear, she pulled the trigger.
The bang went off, but in an odd sense of reversal, the little dinosaur stopped and responded. It looked right at Shino, spying her with its odd green eyes.
A gasp escaped the real Shino, her glasses tilting. "No way... That can't be right. If it is a NPC, no way its reflexes are that fast, let alone change tactics in the middle of chasing a target." she said, wondering what the hell was going on.
Instead of going after Trigger_Happy now, the little dino tossed something out in between them. With a loud bang, a grenade let out a powerful explosion. Smoke and stone was tossed into the air, which also began to break the patch of ground that divided them in the game.
The dinosaur was starting to move in on Nemesis, wishing now to kill her.
With that , Shino began to back up-- but not before she slapped a device to the wall. Though the hall didn't allow easy escape, she quickly took point along the windows and got ready to ambush the little bugged dino in her sights.
For the moment, she ignored Trigger_Happy, not really caring. Even if the person behind her IRL was watching-- she might as well give him a show. "Got you, you little--"
Click!
She heard it right on the monitor as she saw the creature, behind her avatar. In the game, she felt as if the barrel was right against her upper back. Somehow the little lizard got behind her. Despite there was no access way for it to get through, unless it jumped through the window.
Sweat dripped from her brow as she realized she was in a pinch.
"Kill all humans. Kill all humans." the lizard said in a drone-like voice, though a bit squeaky.
Her trap was against the other wall-- but she could remote activate it. Both her in real life and avatar took a breath-- and triggered it. The explosion went off, quickly spreading smoke through the room. The little robot dinosaur was distracted by the blast-- but that was all that Nemesis needed.
With a turn, she brought the blunt of her rifle and slammed it right into the dino's nose. As it stumbled, she drew her side arm. "Not today..." BANG!!
Shino soon felt relief as she rested back in her chair, her hair tossed back as her green avatar had shot the dinosaur, now lying on the ground. "Well... that was interesting-- huh?"
First, the dinosaur's body flickered, its rifle and gear vanishing in an odd pixilated pattern-- then her screen began to fritz. Alarmed, she sat back up and tried to restore it via hitting the windows key. "The heck?!" She cried. The screen was full of static, then something else came up. The lights began to flicker in the shop, and the other monitors in the cafe began to change as well.
Then on the monitor appeared a logo-- a large D, but that stretched to be the head of an odd dragon-like creature. While Shino wouldn't recognize it, or Sojiro for that matter, Tadayoshi might as it was very similar in shape to the head of a "Darkdramon".
"The hell? Shino, watch the store. I'm gonna try to check the fuse box and router. There may be some kind of power failure." he explained and rushed to upstairs, to check them.
Something was trying to take over the electricity and computers of the cafe. It would make anyone nervous to see things like this. However, Shino was quiet for a moment... as if stunned. However, Tadayoshi would notice a sinister smirk show on her face, her glasses hiding her expression.
"So whoever sent that little lizard was a trojan horse to infect the computers of whoever shot it huh?" she said as she performed a series of keystrokes-- causing a command screen to show up in front of the 'infected' symbol. "These losers have no idea what they are dealing with."
No longer as a gamer, she began to type at a fast speed, punching in commands and following a line of computer code that ran through the screen. "Okay you little bastard... where are you? You piggybacked on our IP location, so I know you are nearby... "
The computers around them would become more erratic as she tried to type her commands in. It revealed a truth that Shino hid, even from her uncle. She wasn't just a gamer. She was a hacker, and one sharp enough to see what was going on.
"Whatever that thing was, it used the game to try and connect with our network... but I got a little surprise for them. " she explained. If she could isolate the target, she could spike him back with a kill command of her own, causing their system to overload and stop their assault on her internet cafe's network.

Now abandoning the game completely, Tadayoshi closed his laptop so he could stand up and see over Shino's shoulder better. This was some erratic behavior, alright, even from a digimon. Appearing in a video game? This was a new one. Extra concerning? This digimon had a beef with humanity, at least from the sound it made in-game. That was where Tadayoshi had to call it. He held his Loader close to his mouth so he could mumble, "Team, be ready to deploy hot. Don't acknowledge." He clutched his Loader tight until... she killed it. Well, 'killed' it. Obviously, to Tadayoshi, anyway, it wasn't dead, else it wouldn't be a solid body anymore. But it was neutralized, so Tadayoshi got to relax.
His relaxation lasted only as long as it took for that D logo to appear followed by power failure. He didn't recognize the mask when he saw it, but he did know it had to be a digimon. "This one's found a new way into the human world. Standby." He couldn't just deploy his team and get the draw on the invader because there were still two witnesses and, more importantly, two meatbags in the line of fire. That might've got cut in half when Shino's grandfather left the area, but there was still the girl herself. I bet Renamon could force her out without even being seen, but that leaves the risk-
Yoshi had to abandon that line of thought when Shino started showing off her other skill set. She's antagonizing it! Now that absolutely could not be allowed. Still, the boy thought there was a salvageable scenario that involved no realize digimon, so with his Loader in hand he came behind the girl and tried to shut her laptop. "Stop that! You don't know what you're doing!" Of course, he knew that wouldn't be enough. She's a hacker, right? Jesus, where's Johan when you need him? Computers weren't part of Tadayoshi's wide expertise, but he thought he could bluff effectively. "Don't you see you're following bait? If you don't let that thing go, it'll do much worse!"

Shino blocked out the Trigger_happy player, aka the coffee guy as she types away, inputting commands, till she opened up a second screen-- showing a fast line of code. The code of the 'attacker'. A complex computer code only possible to that of a Digimon.
For Shino, aka Nemesis, however, she considered it a high level code of a hacker or something else. "Huh. Pretty varsity for a prankster. But you met your match..." she said as she juggled the two windows to input her attack.
The stranger was starting to get on her nerves as this was a time-sensitive procedure to hack into such fast moving code. His warnings were not to her liking. "Quit distracting me, noob. I just need ten seconds to get ahead of this guy." she said sharply, her mannerism now different from before.
Whether it was hacker's pride or competitive drive, she was driven to crack this intruder and pay him back for trying to hack into her uncle's shop and system. Even if this was a prank, if this wasn't a direct attack to her, they could easily steal her uncle's digital information esp as a former crime division detective.
Finishing the commands in her own window, she went back to the invading one and clicked in it. Her eyes narrowed as she waited for the right moment, the typing of her fingers finishing a command prompt ending with 'Nemesis' . One of her programs that she made designed to reverse commands, and ultimately throw a user's command prompts back at them. "...Mess with the best, die like the rest." she said with a smile, a reminder of that old school movie from the 1990s. She hit enter-- and launched her code into the stream of data.
The moment her command entered-- the scrolling paused and then receded backwards, as if someone was backspacing it in hyper speed. One by one, the infected monitors with the dragon logo began to blink off, the connection from them being severed one by one. Finally, the one on Shino's laptop also blinked out, returning to normal and the window of infected coding disappeared.
A sigh of relief escaped Shino as she sat back in her chair with a smile on her face. "They should of known better," she replied, feeling rather good of herself.
However, before she could feel like tooting her own horn-- something else happened. Her screen changed once again. For a second it seemed like the same logo-- but instead in its place was another D-- with a pixilated dinosaur appearing on her monitor. She sat up in alarm, unaware of this interference yet again. "Well, that's not good."
She tried to open the command window, but this time her commands wouldn't respond. It could of been the hackers from before, but this was not then. Her screen grew brighter as the electricity of the room began to dance. No matter what she tried, her computer wouldn't respond.
And then it happened... the 'digimon' symbol glowed brighter and a mass of ... something was forming just beyond the monitor. The power surge was focused right on Shino's laptop, allowing an emergence point.
Tadayoshi could easily tell what this was... but before anything could happen-- the object shot right over Shino's head. The girl quickly dropped to the ground as the large object flew and crashed right into the back of the cafe into the maze of bookshelves and the back room.
"WHOH!? What the hell?!" she cried.
Something was now in the store with them. The monitors were all out-- and soon Shino's laptop shut down, worn out after the eerie power surge. Though slow and perhaps even unresponsive, it hid among the shelves as it was in a stupor.
"Hey! What's going on down there?!" Sojiro called from upstairs, hearing the crash.
Afraid that her uncle would question what really happened, she quickly tried to cover it up. "Um, nothing. Just tripped trying to unplug the computers!" she called up. If he found out she was a hacker now, he might kill her.
She looked to Yoshi, wondering what happened.

Shino wouldn't back down! She wasn't very nice about it, either, even going so far as to insult Tadayoshi to his face - at least, he thought it was an insult, anyway. He didn't actually recognize the word Shino called him by; he just knew it was appropriate to be offended by it. "Listen, if you chase that hacker..." Tadayoshi just didn't know what to say! He was out of his element here! He did know when Shino executed something, though, and by extension he knew when trouble was about to start. That screen got brighter. That logo changed.
That was it. Whatever was about to happen, Tadayoshi was going to get the draw on it. He faced his Loader screen toward a little open space and declared, "Captain, Renamon, Angel, deploy!"
Three digimon simultaneously materialized in that space. One was Commandramon, suited up and wielding a G36C. "Yes, sir."
The second was a much taller fox digimon, Renamon. She wasn't as reverent as Commandramon, just crossing her arms and frowning. "Where's my espresso?"
The third was a BlackTerriermon who looked even more ready for a scrap than Commandramon going by a malicious grin on her face and the way she punched one fist into another. "Who gets fucked up today?"
"Renamon, keep the old man upstairs!" Renamon responsively dashed off up the stairs. Hopefully there was simply a door she could shut and block, else she'd just have to physically subdue him should he try and go. Either way, she intended to carry out her job... reluctantly. "Angel, block the door. No one in, no one out." She, too, dashed off, but Tadayoshi apparently felt the need to shout after her, "No injuries!"
"Yeah, yeah!" she dismissed.
"And yell if you catch a whiff of DATS! Top, whatever happens-" Tadayoshi just couldn't talk fast enough to give that last order. That was when something shot out of Shino's laptop and crashed in the back. "Rogue portal! Engage!"
"Engaging!" Fearless and efficient, Commandramon raised his rifle and held it rock-steady as he began to advance into the maze of bookshelves in pursuit of the other digimon. Even though he didn't get a good look at it, the soldier recognized one of his own earlier and put two-and-two together. "Precision Shot." That command summoned a thermal-vision sight on top of Commandramon's rifle, which he hoped would help him more easily spot his subject in the dark maze. "AEGIS! Throw down your weapon and show yourself!" he shouted in his scariest voice, ever-alert for a hostile with his safety off and digit on the trigger. "Come out, arms up! Drop the weapon!" He'd keep shouting things like that until the other Commandramon either did as they were told, or the captain got fired upon. Since AEGIS is - used to be the first line of defense for Shibuya against digital incursion, there was a strong chance the invader might recognize the name.
While the captain advanced, Tadayoshi was well familiar with the dangers of flying bullets. Cover was slim, but he set the table he'd been sitting at on its side and crouched behind it. Now acting as an AEGIS agent, he was responsible for the welfare of the stubborn girl who caused all this, so he tried to pull her by the arm and physically force her down there with him. "I know this is scary, but we're the good guys! AEGIS is trained to deal with this sort of thing." Shino surely wouldn't recognize that name, and she definitely had no reason to recognize the badge that the young man flashed from his back pocket, but hopefully that badge and his reassurances would get the point across that there was some sort of order here - and convince her not to do anything else so stupid.
Commandramon used the noncombat effect of Precision Shot. -Precision Shot: The current sight or scope of this digimon's rifle disappears to be replaced by one more appropriate for the current range that automatically corrects aim for wind, distance, and target motion, and it even provides weak-point analysis. This digimon aims the scope or sight, then fires one highly precise energy bullet to deal damage. This attack's accuracy is boosted by 30%, and its damage is boosted by 25%. Outside of combat, this ability may be used at any time without triggering a cooldown to access various scope types like night vision, infrared, and long-range zoom. Cooldown: 2 post.

In that blink of an eye, everything went from strange to bat-shit crazy for Shino. Her glasses tilted from the shock as not only did something literally just FLY out of her computer and crash in the back, but the customer she had thought was being a pest turned out to have a strong surprise. From a hand-held, three odd creatures just emerged! One was a cybernetic looking dinosaur-- which looked EXACTLY like the one in the game. Another was a bipedal fox, who was somehow keeping Sojiro upstairs-- and finally was a strange little black bunny, who had a foul mouth on him, to keep guard.
THe guy forced her down and explained he was part of Aegis-- which meant absolutely nothing to her. "A-Aigis? Wait what are those creatures and how the hell did you make em come out of your cellphone?!" she asked, alarmed-- of course she was more worried about what the hell crashed in the back of her.
She was expected to not do anything 'stupid'... but Stupid and ignorant was not something she could easily do. "Get off of me!" she shouted and quickly ran to where the Commandramon that belonged to him went.
From where the little digimon was aiming, it was dark but he could easily see the 'intruder'. A lot of rustling was happening as the creature had a bad landing. As Shino turned to see herself-- a few things happened.
First, something clattered on the ground as the 'mysterious' digimon emerged. A green, hand-held shaped device with a sensor reader on top. It 'looked' like a D-tector Digivice to the trained eye-- but it was no doubt something to do with the emerged creature.
Finally, grunts came as the Digimon had been stuck-- his tail wagging and his front burried in a pile of fallen books that crashed down on it. It soon struggled but then pulled out with a loud gasp and shook his head.
The 'rifle' he had was also on the ground, out of his immediate reach. No doubt the first Commandramon would be confused-- as would Shino as she appeared beside both-- not only worried by what she saw, but if she was seeing double that her glasses might be broken.
"Huh? What is going on here? " she gasped, confused.
Despite the gun aimed at him, Commandramon saw the copy of him in front of him. Almost amused, or clueless, he silently looked at him, blinking as if it was a mirror-- but his view came up to see Shino.
Shine backed up a bit, frightened at how the strange-looking dinosaur was now in front of her, exactly like from the game and now was looking at him like that movie with the dinosaurs that tried to eat people.
However-- as if in alarm, the little digimon jumped up from the floor and raised his claw. "P-Private Commandramon, reporting for duty-- SIR!" he shouted aloud.
Shino was stunned, unsure what to say as it seemed as if the little reptile with the army gear was saluting... her?

"Wait for the all-clear!" Tadayoshi irritably growled after Shino so impatiently ran straight to the site. Yoshi supposed he had to follow because there was just nobody left to pull her back once the bullets started flying. Lucky for everyone involved, the situation was completely under control. In the time it took for Shino and Yoshi to get where they were going, as well as before the invader could wriggle out, the captain had gone ahead and confiscated the other rifle under his foot as well as the D-tector with one hand. As his General approached, the captain confused him a little by wordlessly foisting the D-tector on Tadayoshi. Neither he nor Commandramon had to explain to the other the significance of this, nor did they need a debate about which human it probably belonged to.
Nevertheless, as one Commandramon emerged, the other one kept his barrel horizontal and steady. When one appeared alarmed and made some sudden movements, the other backed up and demanded, "Paws on your head, right now!" which was a command which was technically half-obeyed when the newcomer saluted. Maybe the newcomer was acting peaceful now, if a bit eccentric, but there was no forgetting what he was first quoted as saying: 'kill all humans.' The only reason this otherwise clear and present threat was still alive was AEGIS' ROE, which called for much more conservative use of force than both Tadayoshi and Commandramon felt comfortable with right now. Without a visible weapon on a digimon known for relying on them, their hands were tied.
No doubt Shino was just getting more and more confused as the seconds passed, but Tadayoshi was not inclined to share yet. He was, however, willing to run a simple test that would determine whether he should. That test involved trying to assertively place the unfamiliar digivice in Shino's hand with the simple request to, "Hold this for a second." He figured that if something, anything happened that might indicate it belonged to Shino, maybe the situation could deescalate. If not? Well... then they'd just have to follow procedure. Silence would attempt detain the other Commandramon on suspicion of threatening humans with minimum necessary force, which would no doubt be followed by one very thorough interrogation that would end with deportation alone with luck or extradition to Terminus authorities without luck.
Heck, Yoshi was at the moment tempted to order an arrest either way, but being bonded to a human was certainly a near-bulletproof case for allowing a stay. Whatever would happen in a few moments, there was nothing he could do at present but wait and see.

The unknown Commandramon blinked to find a carbon copy of himself too. "Hey! I didn't know other Commandramon were playing this game but-- wait a minute? What am I doing here... hmmm..." he asked, but soon the bark to put his paws up, made Commandramon raise them slowly. "Heeeey... is that any way to treat a bro?"
The Commandramon's mannerism was certainly... mouthy and unusual for any type of mechanical Digimon. Still, he kept where he was and didn't even radiate anything close to a threat, even though he still had 'grenades' attached to his belt-- if Digimon even wore belts.
Shino was still lost and confused as the little army dinosaur looked and blinked at Shino, more curious about her than the others. "Anyway the game was fun. You're an awesome shot. You almost got me there..." Commandramon commented with a smile.
"Huh? Wait... Are you... don't tell me you're the one from the game? How is that possible?" Shino gasped. However, her train of questions was halted when Yoshi handed her the D-tector. She didn't have time to ask what it was as it was placed in her hand, fitting comfortably in her grip. However, what surprised her yet again was the glow from the screen-- and the glow that came off Vector as it did.
"Data recognized..." the D-Tector spoke, "Storing essential Digimon material. Designation: Commandramon-- Error, incorrect data detected. Suspected result of hacked encounter. Attribute: Free. End of diagnosis."
The Digivice spoke, and pretty much confirmed it-- it belonged to Shino, and it was tied to Commandramon. It took Shino a moment to put her mind together as she looked between Yoshi, his own Digimon there-- and Vector. "Wait a minute? The one who was trying to hack my computer network... that was YOU?" she surmised.
If what that summary said was true-- he would have been the intruder trying to corrupt her computer network. Any sort of 'damage' would have been a result from her own hacking attempt-- but never did she imagine it would lead to anything like this.
However, the banging could be heard upstairs as Sojiro was trying to get back down. "What's going on! Why is the door locked?" he shouted.
Shino felt even more nervous. It was official. Between the mess and the situation of monsters here-- her uncle was going to kill her. "Um... can we do this somewhere else?! I'll give you all the coffee you want just... we gotta get all of this out of here! We need them to hide." she said in a panic.
"Roger that, SIR!" the unknown Commandramon said-- and right before their eyes, his body shifted in color as his pixilated skin moved. And with it, his body vanished. Visually anyway. The other Commandramon could probably still see him, as an outline at least, but he was now fully camouflaged to blend in with his darker surroundings. Only thing that stood out was his eyes-- he being unable to hide them unless he closed them.

"I'm not your 'bro.'" There was no malice in Commandramon's voice, but there sure wasn't any love either. He spoke like the other one was just confused and getting corrected on a simple matter of fact. Hard as it might have been to believe, that was actually his idea of deescalation; speaking rather than yelling or worse - shooting - meant he acknowledged the subject's compliance and acted accordingly. That did not involve lowering his weapon, though.
All questions of what to do with the subject were put to rest as the digivice spoke. Digimon can lie, and maybe there was a chance digivices could, too, but the latter seemed highly unlikely. That was it, then: this was all supposed to happen. The rogue portal was opened in order to bring this Commandramon and that girl together. "Captain-" Tadayoshi was about to give the order, but the sound of Sojiro's voice interrupted his. Good thing Renamon was doing her job. Still, Shino was right: this was best handled elsewhere. He hit a button on his Loader to start charging a digiport then. First, he shouted at the BlackTerriermon by the door. "Angel! We're leaving. Withdraw!"
"I didn't even get to do anything!" she protested.
"Some other time, I promise."
"You always promise that, and it never happens!"
"Unbelievable." Not expecting Angel to yield, the General was forced to walk all the way over to her and forcibly confine his subordinate in the loader... lest she give in to her destructive instincts right here. That would definitely bring DATS down. Once she was gone, he spoke to the Loader, but not to Angel. "Renamon, we're about to pull out. On my command release the old man and dash back before he can see you."
"Wilco," was the curt reply.
"Captain!" Commandramon only grunted to acknowledge he was called. "Lower your-" Tadayoshi blinked. Commandramon did indeed have his gun up, but he wasn't pointing it at anything Yoshi could easily see. "-Where'd he go?"
"He's still here." Yoshi didn't get it until the subject blinked, at which point he caught the movement.
"Stand down. There's no immediate threat. Oh, and give him his gun back." Dutifully, the soldier pointed his muzzle at the ground and slid the other weapon back to its owner. "You- uh, ma'am. I'm Tadayoshi Teppei. I can explain, but you need to follow me. We won't go far... in a sense." Yoshi held out his digivice and... a rip in the air appeared to lead to a wide open, empty plain. The Network Plains - not that Shino could have known that. "Go. I'll be right behind you."
What he didn't mention was that the portal would close behind her. Only one digivice at a time could pass through this portal. Yoshi needed another five minutes to create another to the same place, but for Shino that meant five minutes alone in the digital world's peaceful Network Plains. Once that was up, Angel, Renamon, Commandramon, and Tadayoshi all followed Shino and the subject. "Alright, sorry for the delay. Those digiports need time to charge. I suppose the best way to start here would be letting you ask your own questions and go from there, but I can't promise I know everything. Shoot."

Too much information was processing too fast-- even for Shino. Sojiro was coming, or about to break down the door-- the device was talking, two talking gun-toeing dinosaur and the gunning newb who couldn't shoot a damn was calling the shots now as she was taken by the arm and pushed through a portal. It all happened so fast and before she knew it, her whole world was flipped upside down...
....
... She regained her balance and self of awareness as she started at the odd grass below her. She was now outside. For a moment, she felt at ease, till she looked around-- and saw that everything was different. This wasn't the cafe, not even Shibuya. Her breath was labored as she looked around.
"Sir! Are you alright, Sir?"
Shino turned around-- and saw the little Commandramon from before, happily looking at her with his rifle secure over his shoulder and his tail wagging softly. Despite the military appearance, he seemed as friendly as a puppy. Still, it didn't unease her transition to be in this place.
"W-where are we? What is this place? " she gasped, looking at the blue and sunny sky.
"You're in the Digital World now, Sir!" Commandramon said in a chipper tone.
"Would you stop calling me 'sir'?"
The armored dinosaur cocked his head, confused. "But you're my commanding officer. How would you want me to address you, Ma'am?" he asked.
Shino dropped her head into her hands, rubbing her eyes as if trying to wake up from a dream. It was then that she noticed something odd. It took the Commandramon a moment too-- and saw it as well.
Shino looked around to find a stray puddle in the field and looked into it. Her eyes widened-- her once brown eyes now a bright shade of green. Her skin and body were the same-- however, she now wore more comfortable clothing, styled after the military theme of her favorite game. Her hair was also now a teal green-- she was the spitting image of her digital avatar self she made in games and VR.
"What is happening to me?" Shino gasped softly, fearing she was losing her mind.
"Wow... you looked cute before, but you look badass awesome now, Ma'am!" the Commandramon said, rather stupidly insensitive.
"What the-- That is not the thing to say you dumb dino!?" she snapped, her face now flushed red in embarrassment.
It was then that they finally appeared, Yoshi and his crew of digimon as well. He seemed pleasant enough, offering to answer her questions-- but now with the new setting she was unfamiliar with, the odd transformation she was under and everything else... she was pissed off. She marched right up to him and grabbed him by the collar. His Digimon might of viewed this as an aggressive move-- but considering the state of what was left in her uncle's cafe, she had the right to be alarmed and upset.
"Okay, what the hell is going on here? Did you just kidnap me?! What happening to me? Where are we exactly? What are these creatures and how come this one came out of my computer like a jack-in-the-box! He thinks I'm his commander or something and I never met him befor-- " her mind went to the game, and she wondered why he knew her. Was it have something to do with the game? She calmed down a bit and let go, but she still had a frown.
If Yoshi was confused who she was, due to her clearly different appearance now, her tone of voice and intense disposition would point out who she was.
The Commandramon who was beside her whistled. "She's a real pistol, isn't she?" he commented happily, trying to compliment her.
Shino glanced back and growled at him-- not in the mood for jokes or come-ons now. Needless to say, Yoshi and his Commander-- could tell this Commandramon was the most unorthodox Commandramon they ever seen. Slowly she let go of his collar, but still glared at him dangerously.
