The blowing wind, that ruffled her fur and chilled her. The swirling snow that drifted down and crunched underneath her feet. The puff of her breath in the air - white and misty. There were things that Ophelia couldn't help but notice and ponder it all, as she began to approach upon her home - the den she was born in, grew up in. Having spend time in the warmer parts of the Digital World, as well as down in the Shining Sea - where the weather was not quite as harsh - Ophelia had begun to notice and appreciate, just how different the world beyond was. Just how new everything was - and how it made her own home feel less 'samey', even.
It was no surprise that she would be noticed before she saw her family, though; the den was downwind, and her family's senses - save for perhaps Cassie's - were just as up to snuff as her own. Already as she crested over a hill, she could see a trio of figures - two around her size at the lead, and one larger and towards the back of the procession - heading her way; and it didn't take a genius for her to recognize her own family. Ophelia, eager, would jog down the hill towards them to meet them in the middle - and she could already hear them calling to her.
"Lae, Dad, look! Ophi is home!" A Gomamon-X - Cassandra, or as everyone liked to call her, Cassie - would be at the lead. Even if she should, technically, be the slowest of the three - her body lent well to treading atop the snow like snowshoes, as opposed to trudging thru it like they had to. She'd call back to the other two in excitement, before charging on forward to the Spadamon - and Ophelia barely had a chance to react before Cassie got the idea to flop into her, sending the duo sprawling back into the snow laughing - Ophelia reaching up to give Cassie a noogie, as the Gomamon-X nuzzled against her happily, excitedly.
"Ophelia!" Laertes was next - a lanky and tall Strabimon who was a little more reasonable in his approach. He'd nearly trip over himself, rushing thru the snow to the duo's side - but once he got there, he'd kneel next to them, joy and excitement clear in his expression, too. At least... Until that'd morph into surprise, as Ophelia proceeded to yank Laertes down - embracing both of her siblings tightly, purring loudly. Though the Strabimon protested with a sharp "Hey!" at first, he was quick to relent - the three siblings simply devolving into laughter as they embraced each other in the snow, reminding themselves of each other's warmth and scents. Though, before long...
"Hahaha, you look well as ever, Ophelia!" The three siblings would be scooped up in the large arms of a Panjyamon, as their father - Callus - lifted them all up and hugged them close. He was just as joyous as them, it seemed, to see his darling little daughter - and the loud rumble in his chest made that especially clear. He would sit down in the snow, the three siblings in their father's lap as they snuggled together - mixing their scents, the smell of family that Ophelia oh-so-dearly missed. She couldn't help but snuggle harder against her father's chest, enjoying the feeling of security, enjoying the feeling of home.

But... Of course, eventually they'd need to part - or at least, address the overarching question of what exactly brought Ophelia here. For their part, no one was exactly keen on splitting apart - the shared body warmth was pleasant, and sharing in each other's scents was soothing - a reminder that their family was together again, even if only for now. It would be the approach of Gertrude though, that would remind them of the world beyond their father's embrace - the large Blizzarmon sitting next to her mate - Callus and Gertrude sharing a mutual nuzzle, bunting their cheeks together with a soft rumble.
Given that it was hard for all three of them to perch on their father's lap without him having to hold them all - and even then, it was a bit snug - Laertes would shift to sit on Gertrude's lap. He, too, was the first to speak up once he settled down - and he would glance to Ophelia, asking "What brought you out here, Ophelia...?" Cassie was quick to add in a question of her own, asking "What's that around your neck about?"
The Spadamon was a little quiet at first - contemplative, thinking over how she... Actually was going to word all of this, explain everything to her family... When she made her trek up the mountains, made her trek towards her home, it all felt like it'd be so simple in her head - talk about how she was feeling homesick, and talk about the supposed rise of the Demon Lords... But now that she was here? It felt like the words had escaped her. This was going to be more complicated that she supposed - sure, she could say that she was homesick, and wanted to talk to them about Demon Lords, but... That required some context - especially with Cassie's question towards her bandana and KIZNA pin.
Well, she guessed she could start with a simple, "It's a long story," Ophelia couldn't help but laugh with saying this - cause in a way, it really was. "I... Guess I was a little homesick?" She would murmur - and as she began to explain herself, Callus and Gertrude would both carry her and her siblings towards the den - having decided that it would be a better, warmer place for story time. "It's... So different, out there - so different from the mountains, even in the lower parts of the Prominence... and recently, I've found a place besides here that I could call home, if I really damn well wanted. But..." She'd grow quiet for a second, to find her words. "... I guess it wasn't the same, as here."
"Does it need to be the same?" Callus would ask gently, as they ducked into the den - the entrance was always a little low, requiring her father and mother to duck low to not bonk their heads in the process. But, it also made it harder for blizzards and whatnot to blow in - especially when Callus used his own abilities to block off the entrance in such events. Of course though, this time it was left open - it was always left open when the weather was calm. Or, at least, as calm as it could get up in the mountains. That all was besides the point though; Ophelia was more focused on the rhetorical question that her father presented. She was quiet as she gave it some thought - and... Though she technically didn't need to respond to a rhetorical question, she would still murmur a soft "I guess you're right..." as the five of them settled down, snuggling together.

The den was warm and comfortable as always, furbished and carpeted with nests of whatever warm furs and soft cloths that they could bring home, with a fire pit at the center - currently smouldering. At the back was a hidden exit that doubled as an air-hole, to ensure oxygen could flow thru the den, smoke could escape, and just in case they ever had to leave the den discreetly, and in a hurry. But, most important of all to Ophelia, was that it smelt heavily of home; that everyone's scents were the strongest here, seeing as everyone spent a lot of time here. This was what she missed - the smell of family, of kin, that's what - in a way - really made a place 'home' for her. But... With Callus' words... Perhaps that room she had, back in Ys, could be home, too? ... She was getting sidetracked again, Ophelia would realize as she shook her head to herself. She could enjoy home without leaving her family hanging, she'd tell herself as she found her words - and continued on. "I... joined a team of other digimon, and these people called Humans, called KIZNA." Callus seemed to blink in faint recognition at the mention of humans - though her siblings were curious, having never heard of such things. What were humans, they wondered - though didn't have much of a chance to ask before she continued on. "They're all nice. Maybe... a little coddling, but they've been fun to spar with, and I want to get to know them more. This pin on my bandana, it's their symbol, and the bandana was a gift from one of the members.""They have a base, down towards the Shining Sea, in this cave - and it has a big, ancient city that they call Ys." Ophelia would gesture widely, as though to try and emphasize how big this city was - much to her siblings' awe and father's interest. "And their base is this big tall building towards the back of it, where everyone lives. And... I get a room there, too. Like I said it's... Not quite the same, so it's damn hard for me to adjust..." She was quiet for a moment, before shaking her head - mentioning "But still...! I like it there... And they've been making Ys into a real city - with functioning buildings and shops and people and everything!" "I wanna go see Ys!" Cassie would chirp happily, perking up - and Callus couldn't help a laugh as he ruffled the little Gomamon-X's fur - "Perhaps the two of you and I could go visit there, then?" He'd suggest eagerly - adding "It shouldn't be too far from home," Laertes seemed a bit ambivalent and skeptical to the idea - though did not comment - and Gertrude seemed disinterested otherwise. Ophelia would giggle at her sister and father though, grinning happily at their antics. Already, that homesickness was long gone - leaving only the lighthearted happiness of being with her family. Yet, there was another thing that nagged at her head - the Demon Lords. She needed to mention them, too, she realized - even as they laughed among themselves. "..." She would be the first to fall quiet - which the others would notice before long. As she thought to herself, Cassie would gently nudge Ophelia - asking "Is something wrong, Ophi...?""...""... There's... Something else I came here about, besides homesickness." Ophelia would admit, after a few moments of thought - to find her words. "There's these big and bad digimon rising up, to my understanding, uhm... Demon Lords." She'd explain - and even the mention of such seemed to cause a tense hush to fall over the five of them - they realized that this was something a little more serious, from Ophelia's tone, and were quick to listen to her words. "... I signed up to help out, and... The mission I'm going to be on, is helping some people search through here - for one of those Demon Lords, who might be hiding out in these mountains."The reaction was almost immediate, a low snarl rattling out from Gertrude's chest, as she bared her teeth. Laertes couldn't help but shy away a little - no matter how much they loved their mother, when she was like this, it was scary - and she only ever showed anger quite this abruptly at the idea of an enemy digimon waltzing thru her territory, threatening her children. Callus seemed to share in this tenseness, letting out a soft growl, but he was more composed than her. Ophelia was still startled by the duo's reactions - and Cassie couldn't help but snuggle closer to Callus and Ophelia, as though seeking reassurance. This would seemingly make Callus relax further, as he focused more on reassuring his daughter - a hand stroking over Cassie's head. Nonetheless though, Ophelia would continue, stating "I... I want to ask if you guys could pitch in at all - or if not, at least... I wanted to let you guys know what was going on. So that you all could be safe." She wasn't sure what could happen, or if it was even likely that this Belphemon would put her family in harm's way, but... She felt safer this way, letting them know what was going on - and if anyone knew their way around the mountains, it was the five of them. With this, she would bring out her D-Nexus to play the message - Rasielmon's message - explaining everything. The five of them listened to it in silence, for however long the message would go on for. It explained things far better than she ever could, Ophelia felt - and as the message wrapped up, she would put the device away - as Callus quietly nodded in understanding. "... I see." He'd murmur gently - and would reach out to Gertrude, to soothe her with a hand on her back. The Blizzarmon looked ready to whip herself up into a battle rage, but that touch seemed to calm her - at least a little "... I won't let anyone - Demon Lord or not - prowl here wily-nily." She'd state roughly, getting up. "I will keep a good eye out for this... Belphemon. And when I find him, he will taste my axe - no matter how strong he is."With that, Gertrude would leave the den - leaving it to the four of them. Callus would sigh a bit - saying "Your mother, always running off... I suppose I'll have to make sure she doesn't get herself hurt, but..."He'd glance to Ophelia - and would take the time to hug her close. Ophelia was a little surprised - "Mrrp!" - but would eagerly return the hug nonetheless, her tailtip twitching as she purred softly. "... We'll help you search, and we'll be careful." He'd promise her - to which Cassie exclaimed "Yeah! You guys won't be alone in all of this! I'll even come with you on this mission..!"This was a bit of a surprise - but Callus would smile warmly. "You've all got your mother's spirit, don't you?" He'd muse with a soft laugh - ruffling both Ophelia and Cassie's fur, before mentioning "If you two will be searching together, do be careful then, promise?" "I promise! And you promise too, yeah Ophi?" Cassie chirped in response, already bunting Ophelia with excitement - and nearly knocking the lioness over in the process, much to everyone's amusement. Ophelia couldn't help a laugh as spirits and morale seemed to come back in full, and she couldn't help but grin widely, emotions welling up maybe a hair. "Y-yeah, 'course!" She'd state. "Thank you all, guys...""This is what family does, yeah?" Laertes would finally speak up with a small smile, getting up and stretching, already making to leave the den. "C'mon, Dad," He'd call to Callus - the Panjyamon not too far behind. "Lets go before Mom gets too far ahead and causes an avalanche or something."Callus would nod in response, getting up and moving to leave with Laertes - but would glance back to Cassie and Ophelia. "You two should come with, assuming that you two don't have anywhere to be - the den should be fine on its own, for awhile." He'd mention - there certainly was the unspoken value in numbers. With this, Ophelia would nod - helping Cassie along as they made to leave, too - the four of them moving to join up with their mother. Maybe with even just a little help, they'd make a big difference, yeah..? Ophelia certainly believed in such - and with her dear sister Cassandra coming with to help on the actual mission itself, she was confident that everything would go well.
