Tense Negotiations - Demon Lords 1B (Toki, Katsura, Adrian)

Fortunately for Nyao, Mephistomon's arm broke cleanly beneath her heel. Unfortunately for her, it may have broken a bit too cleanly. The demon's arm snapped clean off, the sound of broken bone echoing through the inner sanctum. The limb perhaps showed more emotion than Mephistomon himself had shown throughout the entire fight, spasming wildly at it landed on the floor. From there, the rapidly-degenerating arm stood little to no chance against the holy light, fading into a swirling mass of data and pungent black smoke.
Mephistomon himself, however, seemed rather unphased. Was he so devoid of feeling that even pain refused to register in his glazed-over eyes? In fact, as soon as his arm was freed he used his remaining one to push Bagramon's fallen body in Nyao's general direction. While not as strong of a deterrent as his puppeteered form earlier, it was still a mass of steel and flesh between Nyao's blade and Mephistomon. Without more than a word he dashed away, making his way over to his fallen brother's side.
And fallen Phelesmon was! The demon was so distracted by RedShoutmon's barb that he didn't even notice Toki's technique until it was too late. He was floored with even more intense gravity than Toki's previous maneuver, and judging by the groan escaping his throat he was in no more position to banter. The only thing that drew his attention was the sight of Mephistomon running over to him. Phelesmon extended a hand towards his brother, his groan giving way to a light laugh. "Brother, heal me, now," he rasped. "Working as one, perhaps we can still stand a chance."
"I shall ensure your survival," Mephistomon said, stooping down to look at his brother. Phelesmon braced himself against Mephistomon, the goat buckling slightly as Phelesmon tried to lift himself up.
Then Mephistomon's fist encased itself in dark energy. Before Phelesmon knew it, Mephistomon's hand had penetrated cleanly through his chest. "And we shall stand as one." Phelesmon's eyes widened in shock at the betrayal, but before he could say anything data began rapidly bleeding off of his body. Slowly, surely, the once proud demon began to wither, all of his data flowing into Mephistomon's outstretched palm. As it did so Mephistomon leaned his head back, sighing as Phelesmon's data began restoring his own. It soon enveloped the goat in its entirety, forming a cocoon of makeshift Digivolution. Any attacks aimed at Mephistomon would instead strike at this cocoon, chipping away at what little remained of Phelesmon's data.
When the cocoon finally cleared, Mephistomon emerged looking quite different. Their shape had become far more androgynous, and their nude body was now augmented with finery much like Phelesmon's. Most strikingly, their face had degenerated to little more than a skull. Any surface wounds from the fight had patched themselves up, but it was clear Mephistomon wasn't completely out of the woods: their arm was still missing from where Nyao had curb stomped it.
"This has been quite the experience," the newly-formed Mephistomon X said. Their voice was every bit as emotionless as it was before, but instead of one voice they spoke in many. The voice of a little girl seemed to be headlining the fusion, underlined by that of a deep-voiced demon. A few other voices occasionally rose from the back, but overall it sounded like a legion of voices echoing one another flawlessly. "It seems for once, we have been called upon to learn, not simply to teach. But I suppose all days must come to an end.
You have won this battle. Congratulations, and best of luck in the upcoming war." With that, Mephistomon X settled into a meditative stance, seemingly unconcerned with their own safety.

Toki watched on in disgust as Mephistomon cannibalized Phelesmon's data to heal his own injuries. The idea that the battle was officially over was a bittersweet thing. They had learned much about the nature of the Demon Lords this day, but it only served to raise more questions. What was the nature of this deal they made? Why was this particular Demon Lord sending out envoys for so called 'diplomacy' only to try and have the other party killed if they didn't agree to unreasonable demands? Who was this all benefiting in the end?
As the new Mephistomon formed and simply meditated in the room, Toki flew towards Bagramon and said "Diamond Sanctuary." The sanctuary formed around the two of them and Toki beckoned RedMagnamon to recuperate within. He was not interested in antagonizing Mephistomon even further. There was always a trick, always a plan, and he wasn't going to let himself fall for it. "What you did to Phelesmon proves that your plans are doomed to failure. Maybe not now, or even years from now, but when your reign is toppled, no one will remember it fondly. I can't, and won't, respect someone who treats their own allies and family as sacrificial pawns to squeeze power out of."
He sighed heavily and looked around to survey the damage "This breaks my heart. It truly does. Constantly fighting for an ideal and having to fight to the end...the fact this is only the beginning already exhausts me, but I will fight. Do you know why?" he stared at Mephistomon "Because I love this world and the people in it. If people have to rule, then at least let them be rulers that respect the people...and whom the people love in return. Maybe someday you'll understand that it's the strong who defend the weak, not subjugate them and see them as cogs in a machine."

As reply to Adrian, Katsura raised her shoulders in a shrug. Katsura genuinely did not know the answer and besides she was running out of sympathy for Mephistomon. It also didn't help that Mephistomon had failed to answer any of her comments recently. One has to wonder though how Adrian feels about someone so apathetic to violence. Even watching the arm of Mephistomon no longer fazed Katsura at this point. Nyao too failed to get much of a response from Mephistomon who instead shoved Bagramon at her as distraction and barrier.
"Hey, what are you... Oh I see..." Nyao watched Mephistomon running up to his brother who looked like he was nearly dying... To kill him and take his power!
"I warned you!" Katsura cried out, this was the last thing Phelesmon got to hear before he was absorbed by Mephistomon and presumably dead forever. Having just tried to tell Phelesmon that his brother doesn't care about him and would kill him at a drop of a hat Katsura was more dismayed about having to retire her "tough love theory" than shocked at the turn of events. "He was your brother! Your family!" Katsura yelled this time loudly so he for once had to react to her. The subsequent evolution of Mephistomon(_X?) caused Katsura to point her digidevice at him and press scan out of pure habit. Nyao spent a moment gently placing Bagramon on the ground only for Toki to place a sanctuary around Bagramon.
"I should have known, you just had to ensure no one will possibly mourn your demise. But you made one mistake: now you're alone so I..." "No!" "Are you kidding me?! Are you blind? He's..." "... Up to something."
Katsura continued much to Nyao's surprise. Katsura wasn't telling her to stop fighting nor was this a moral speech. Katsura was in fact being a strategist. "Mhm." Nyao started to calm down and smile.
"So you finally came around my way of thinking. Very well I can use a break. By the way goat, family bonds are a big deal for Katsura so I'd bet my core you lost another fan just now. "
Nyao winked sarcastically at Mephistomon then joined in with Toki who had a speech waiting, idling waiting for her cue to begin next round.

Things seemed to be turning in the good guys' favor. Toki's gravity enhancing move was still going strong, and Phelesmon was easily the one who was doing the worst out of the brothers, with Mephistomon clearly stating that he did not care about Phelesmon's survival at all.
At least, that's what Adrian and RedMagnamon were thinking. However, even though his arm was cleanly broken by Nyao, Mephistomon pushed the unconscious Bagramon at her before running over to Phelesmon, who was reaching out to Mephistomon and pleading for help. The goat Digimon lifted his brother up to his feet...
...before charging his fist with dark energy and shoving it right into Phelesmon's chest. Adrian and RedMagnamon gasped; they hated both of these brothers but... but killing your own?! What kind of messed up logic was that? And it got worse. Mephistomon absorbed the data of Phelesmon and turned into something much, much different. Almost like a fusion of the two brothers, except not.
What... what is that thing? Adrian thought to himself through the rage that he was experiencing. He held his D-Arc watch towards the new Digimon to get info on him. Mephistomon... X? What's the X-Antibody? He looked at Katsura. "Do you know what the X-Antibody is?"
Next, the new Mephistomon X simply congratulated the group in winning the battle before sitting right in the middle of the room, doing nothing. RedMagnamon was pissed; he wanted to tear that goddamn head off of the demonic asshole. Nyao had the same idea before Katsura told her not to. Clearly attacking him right now was a terrible idea. So instead RedMagnamon gave Mephistomon X the finger and ran over to Bagramon's side.
"Is there anything we can do to wake him up?"

Mephistomon X tilted their head towards Katsura, a small plume of violet flame flickering through their eye sockets. "Indeed he is. And now, he shall be safe." They settled somewhat deeper into their meditative stance, even their silence now underlined by a constant cloud of whispers. They softly settled their one remaining hand onto their chest. "He was hurting. Now, he can be whole. His data will not scatter to the four winds, where another could absorb it and make it their own. Nor will he be left to regress to the egg, and forget who he is. Now, no matter what fate may have befallen him, he is truly safe.
You all seem so surprised. Did I not uphold my promise? His survival has been ensured, and now we stand as one."
With Katsura's worries "assuaged", Mephistomon X turned their attention to Toki. "Worry not. The strong, too, are cogs," they said. "I know the works of the Lords are doomed to crumble. Nothing in this world lasts forever. Yours, too, shall come to pass, as shall mine. I simply walk along the trail spun by destiny, whatever fruit it may bear for me. Such is my purpose, in this and in all things.
I am sure we shall meet again. Perhaps next time, our discussion may be more peaceful." Mephistomon X raised its hand, index and middle fingers upwards as if saluting, and disappeared in a puff of violet flame.
All was quiet in the inner sanctum. At least, of course, until a familiar looking shadow stretched over the sanctum. With a slender vampiric upper body, a titanic bestial lower body, and a massive wingspan, it was a sickening case of deja vu. "Oh, so sorry to be late," GranDracmon's voice crooned, half-sarcastically. "I had a bit of beauty sleep left to catch up on. Surely, you understand. But I suppose now I can grace this summit with my presence-"
As GranDracmon descended from the sky, he stopped. His shark-like lower jaws hung open in shock, while his true mouth hummed pensively. "Well. It seems I've missed an exciting day. Such a pity," he huffed, before turning his attention to the humans below. "I simply must hear this story. Mortals getting one over angels in their own domain . . . were it not threatening to waste my time, it would be such delicious irony."

Mephistomon X's logic, if it could even be called that, unnerved Toki. It was something completely alien to he own sense of morality. Seemingly indifferent, but in fact totally believe what they did was in the best interest of the other. However, all this did was strengthen Toki's resolve to prevent whoever they were from their plans from ever coming to pass. Even if all things fade in time, some shouldn't come to pass at all. How did Mephistomon know that's what Phelesmon would have wanted? They didn't. To Toki that was just an excuse to justify their actions. As far as Toki was concerned, no one had the right to decide what is best for another person.
Before Mephistomon left, Toki stared them down and said "Destiny is of our own making. Infinite paths await us and we choose which one to walk. There are no invisible strings pulling us along. Your purpose is your own."
He sighed as they disappeared. Deep down he hoped their next encounter, should it ever happen, be peaceful as well. Strangely, he doubted that. He wouldn't have much time to worry about that as GranDracmon appeared before the group and seemed to have misjudged what happened. His eyes narrowed in frustration. They've been played the whole time. "So that's how it is..." He sighed. He turned to GranDracmon and bowed to them "It looks like we're all being pulled along by someone's plans, GranDracmon. In your absence, it appears two other Digimon, Mephistomon and Phelesmon, disguised themselves as you and attempted the negotiations in your stead. Needless to say, they didn't go well and they attempted to kill us. So if anyone has wasted your time today, it's whoever sent those two. Some mistress who is known to use honeyed words, if that sounds familiar to you."
Still wanting to be polite despite the potential worries that this is all just another trick, he sat down at the table once more, which may or may not be utterly decimated at this point. "Seems like someone's vying for a bit more power than the others and throwing a wrench into whatever plans are currently in play. I'll admit, some of the Demon Lords seem the agreeable sort, though I'll still not agree with their methods."

Katsura couldn't look at Mephistomon talking about his own brother that way, by all means Nyao's prediction of Katsura's mind looked like it was becoming true. As Katsura turned her head away, she had surprisingly little to say in response.
"Just go..." No mind games, no long speeches just two words was all Katsura felt like saying to MephistomonX. She barely reacted when MephistomonX in fact complied. Nyao too had some parting words after Toki's speech.
"The next time, you'll be in pieces. Know this; I don't do threats, I make promises." Nyao said in an ominously cold tone, indeed, Nyao had woved to reduce the numbers in this room by one, she never specified which one would disappear. On the other hand by saying so, she had made it very clear she considered MephistomonX an enemy and she did it with a bright psychotic smirk. When he finally left there was an awkward silence, so far only broken by Toki's sighing. Nyao withdrew her blade onto her back seeing no use for it anymore. Afterwards, they saw a familiar face, a GranDracmon. Nyao had already placed her hand on the hilt preparing to draw when Katsura intervened. "It's okay Nyao, he's different." "What?!"
"His hair is sunflower blonde, Mephistomon and Phelesmon was light blond... Also he has two arms." Rather than grabbing her sword, Nyao used that hand to smack her own face in annoyance.
"I'm... So... Done... Right now... Fine" Nyao removed the hand and looked at Katsura.
"How do I know we can trust him?"
Katsura shrugged before holding up one of her cards to Nyao.
"Sigh... Okay fine." Katsura slashed the card. "Digimodify." Somehow Nyao now had a glowing white card in her hand, Nyao held it up between her index and middle-finger.
"Is it wise to trust this GranDracmon?"
(ooc: I'll let Bone be the voice of the card). This gave Toki time to explain the situation to GranDracmon. Katsura looked around at Bagramon and Rasielmon.
"They didn't deserve to get hurt... I don't want to lose anymore... I'd wish I could help." "Well if any place could grant such wish, it got to be here. Hmm I wonder if..." Nyao closed her eyes and focused on Katsura's wish, she could suddenly feel the holy energy around her respond. In time the place glowed once again only this time everyone in the light found their energy to return. Nyao hoped this could restore Bagramon and Rasielmon back to before Mephistomon attacked.

Adrian reached out to Mephistomon X as he disappeared from the scene, as if that was going to do anything. He kept his arm extended there as he took a look at the situation. Rasielmon and Bagramon were still unconscious, and the Digimon all looked mad and tired. This battle could've been seen as inevitable, but Adrian couldn't help but feel like he was the straw that broke the camel's back.
"I'm such an idiot," Adrian groaned as he looked away, covering his face with his left hand out of shame. Hearing this, RedMagnamon turned to his human partner in confusion.
"Adrian?" the Mega asked out of worry.
"I should've kept my big mouth shut. How was I going to be able to negotiate? I can barely do that in the real world! If I had said nothing at all, then the fight probably wouldn't have ended the way it did, or possibly even start in the first place! Coming here was a bad idea." He couldn't help but let the tears run down his face. Adrian honestly believed that he ruined everything.
"Adrian, GranDracmon was an asshole. Him attacking us was going to happen no matter what. One of us was just going to not agree to his or the Demon Lords' twisted terms. I'm pretty glad it was you who chose to spoke up."
Adrian looked up at his partner, a loss for words, tears still running down his face. Suddenly a shadow was cast over the sanctum. Rubbing away his tears, Adrian looked up to see the source of the shadow, and it was no other than GranDracmon.
Wait, what? Didn't we just...?
Not only that, but this GranDracmon seemed pretty surprised at the look of the place, asking to know what the hell just happened. Well, in his snarky way, of course. But wait... if this is the supposed real GranDracmon, then who was...?
"Mephistomon and Phelesmon were the equivalent of two children in a freaking trench coat!" Adrian half shouted in realization.
"THOSE SLIMES TRICKED US!" RedMagnamon yelled, slamming his fist on a nearby wall, though not too hard to accidentally break anything important. "THE NEXT TIME I SEE THAT GOATFACE I'M GONNA RIP HIS HEAD OFF!"
"RedMagnamon, enough. You should probably devolve. That was an intense fight you went through."
RedMagnamon hesitated, but he eventually did concede and devolved back into Shoutmon. "This entire meeting was just one big disaster..."

"Oh my, a mistress of honeyed words? Such a pity I missed her. I'm always a fan of indulging in some of those." GranDracmon smiled wide as he made this remark, before kneeling down on his haunches to get a closer look at Toki. "Hmmm . . . a monk-like sort. Deception does not befit those of your nature, so I suppose you must be telling the truth. You speak of scions of Lilithmon, do you not? Many of the Demon Lords are more feared for their bluster than their bite, but for Lust it is all she has to her name.
Me? Why, I'm feared for both." The grin on GranDracmon's face was almost as predatory as the bared teeth of his shark-like mouths. It was unclear which end of him was the more dangerous one.
If he had any worries about the honesty of Toki's words, the more brash RedMagnamon backed them up. If a berserker warrior and a serene monk could pull themselves together and agree, evidence pointed towards them both being honest. The smile faded from GranDracmon's face as he listened to what RedMagnamon had to say, and he steepled his fingers together as he gathered his focus. "So it is true, then? The Demon Lords sent mere minions to your doorstep? And dared to pass such weaklings off as me?"
GranDracmon's voice rose to a shout as he reached the end of his little spiel, but he quickly regained his composure. "I suppose it is natural. They've always resented me for threatening their position. Many a warlord has called the Dark Area their home, but few boast my might and authority. It simply makes sense they'd seek to undermine me." It was an ego-fueled leap in logic, but also one that was backed up by their actions. Was GranDracmon really such a threat, or at least annoyance, to the Demon Lords?
Before he could continue his rant, the ghostly image of a Cherubimon appeared. "Sheesh, really guys?" they asked, their mouth conspicuously not moving. "I'm kinda busy at a p- doing some important recon work. But . . . ooh. Yeah. That's everyone on the floor. Alright, I'll help you guys out on this one." They held their hands high, golden light spilling forth from them. They then took a bow and disappeared into a puff of data. Rasielmon and Bagramon's wounds began to mend, and slowly they forced themselves to their feet.
At least, of course, until they saw GranDracmon leering down at the assembled humans. Immediately Bagramon and Rasielmon snapped back into combative stances, energy glowing around their hands. GranDracmon simply looked bemused by it all. "So this is the welcome wagon? It almost makes me feel unwanted. I'm hurt~," he crooned. Rasielmon looked somewhat confused, her features softening and her stance easing, but Bagramon looked all too prepared to double down.

There was an immense pressure to GranDracmon's presence this time around. He was the real deal...and something about him shook Toki to his core. It was chilling. This power that he just casually displayed left Toki at a loss for words. If there was ever something that could back their words up, it was GranDracmon.
However, they said something that Toki would remember for sure "Lilithmon...I'll remember that name. Something about this doesn't sit well with me at all. We kept being told that the Demon Lords were currently unable to directly interfere with one another...that they're forced to work together. If that's true, then how did all this happen?" He questioned. He could feel GranDracmon's anger at the impersonators, and that power only grew more suffocating.
Supposedly he threatened the Demon Lords' position...was...GranDracmon the true ruler of the Dark Area? Or someone who could very easily take it from them? The thought was horrifying, and almost made some of the Demon Lords seem reasonable by comparison. Suddenly Toki's vision blurred. With a pained groan, he reverted back to his human state, unable to handle remaining in Mega stage any longer. He gasped for breath and stood back up, still standing his ground against GranDracmon.
Suddenly, Cherubimon showed up and spoke to everyone. However, their mouth wasn't moving. He grit his teeth, unsure what to trust, but a that golden light was indeed real. He felt his energy return to him somewhat, but not enough to return to being ZenCherubimon. Cherubimon's words were also...strange. They changed what they were saying mid-sentence, so that was already a red flag to him "Whoever you are...thank you." he spoke out to them.
Toki stepped back and said "Please...just stand down for now. I can't fight anymore, so I'd prefer to keep the hostilities to a minimum. This...is the real GranDracmon. The one we spoke with was a fake. Unfortunately, GranDracmon, a lot of us are extremely tired, stressed, and unable to think rationally right now. If you want anyone to blame, then blame those who tried to have us killed."
If nothing else was to be said, Toki brought out his Digivice and prepared to open a portal home. He would listen to what everyone else had to say, but then he would go home for some rest.

OOC: I'm taking Bone's ruling into account on discord when mentioning the card.
Nyao's card-test was... Inconclusive and considering she had just participated in a rather energy consuming combat. Nyao decided she was better off acting like nothing had happened as she shrugged the card disappeared from existence. Katsura interrupted Toki before he could answer GranDracmon.
"Oh Lilithmon! I know that one. Golden finger, fancy black dress and umm assets? Hmm never thought she was mistress of horny words." And thanks to Katsura's poor hearing, she had apparently figured out who was the demon lord of lust on her own. It was very peculiar hearing GranDracmon talking trash about the demon lords while glorifying himself. It looks like this GranDracmon was representing an entirely different faction in the dark area. Digging into those things must be subtle.
"You must be very outstanding. Umm, Mr. GranDracmon?.. Do you have any idea why they would do such a thing?"
In the meantime Nyao's attempt to harness the holy power to grant Katsura's wish was a success, not only did she feel better herself but both Bagramon and Rasielmon were healed by the mysterious presence of a Cherubimon, no doubt the symbol of Katsura's wish. Weirder things have happened this day, so why not. There was just one flaw, neither Nyao or Katsura had considered how they would respond to see GranDracmon.
"Long story, don't ask. He's innocent, so no need to fight." Nyao gently pushed Bagramon back in civil stance with a poke of her finger, not bordering utilizing any of her strength.
"Really, this proves why it's necessary to be united. Such deception has no place anywhere." Nyao walked back to Katsura.
"I've done my thing, now it's your turn." With a large exhausted yawn Nyao allowed herself to feel how much she had pushed herself and then she shined brightly as she once again became a cat in Katsura's arms. Katsura briefly raised her hand, waving Toki goodbye. Then she walked right in front of GranDracmon looking him straight in eyes and bowed down.
"Mr. GranDracmon? I'm sorry for the welcome, and I want to make it right. I'm Ise Katsura and this is my partner Nyao. It would mean the world to me if we could get another chance to accept your friendship." In spite of the obvious height difference, not to mention the GranDracmon's imposing figure. Katsura kept standing there peacefully waiting for him to respond.

After this whole ordeal, Adrian and Shoutmon were both tired and pretty pissed off about being lied to the whole time. "Sorry about the meeting ending like this GranDracmon, but I've seen enough. I would still be open to negotiation with the real you but as of now, we need time to process everything."
"Plus we almost died. Not really keen on sticking around in a place where you almost bit the dust, y'know?"
"The Demon Lords are not Digimon that can be easily ignored, I can tell you that much. Shoutmon and I will do everything in our power that we can to sort it all out."
And with that, Adrian had opened up a portal back home, which he and Shoutmon walked through. The portal closed, having them being withdrawn from the scene...

"Really, now. You never thought the Demon Lord that leaves so little to the imagination could master those sorts of words?" GranDracmon tried his damn best to hide his amusement at Katsura's misinterpretation, but it was too late. The snickers were escaping in full force. "I assure you, she's a master of both sorts of words." With that said, he burst into full-on laughter. Even Bagramon started to lower his defensive stance at this display the look on his face one of pure confusion.
Needless to say, when Toki asked for Rasielmon and Bagramon to stand down, they were all too happy to oblige. They walked to the negotiation table, blank, baffled looks on their faces as they muttered among themselves in confusion. GranDracmon simply offered them, as well as the retreating Adrian, a wave. "Ta-ta for now! I'm sure I'll be seeing you soon~," he crooned, in a voice so sweet it almost sounded like a threat.
That simply left Toki and Katsura's questions to be answered. To Katsura's, he simply gestured to himself. "Do you not see the magnificence standing before you?" he asked, his sharklike mouths mumbling praises to one another. "I'm one of the few demonic Digimon powerful enough to rival them at their own game, stubborn enough to not cow to their wills, and unpredictable enough to stay whereas others fall. Think of me as a big, beautiful cockroach, slipping through the cracks of all their little schemes. Clearly, they would rather not have me interrupting all of their little games any further, and decided to paint a target on my back. And clearly, once again, I've made fools of them.
As for their allegiance. Did you honestly think the seven biggest egos in the Digital World could truly check them at the door? Just to play nice-nice with each other?" GranDracmon threw all three of his heads back, laughing. "The only reason why they haven't crushed the world beneath their heels by now is because their own squabbling keeps them in check. And no amount of treaty will ever put an end to that. It just means they need to get smarter about how. Schemes, power plays, sabotage, subterfuge . . . in essence, these are what have taken the place of all out warfare. It sounds like this trick may have been Lilithmon's brainchild. Deception always did suit her best. But I assure you, not a moment passes where a Demon Lord isn't plotting to undercut the gains of his brother to make them his own.
Of course. Normally, these schemes don't involve stealing my beautiful face. So I simply must get involved, no?" GranDracmon leaned down to Toki and Katsura, the grin on his human face even more shark-like than the literal shark faces on his hips. "Unlike the bridge I'm sure my copy tried to sell you, I'll put this in nice, simple terms. You need me, and we have a common foe. An alliance simply makes sense, no?"

Toki crossed his arms, portal still open behind him. "So today's events were because of Lilithmon, and possibly even more problems are the direct result of her actions. Hm." He sighed as he thought about what this all meant "It's going to be difficult going forward. Before I leave I want to let you know who I think we can trust going forward. Beelzemon and Lucemon seem the most agreeable of them. Belphemon and Leviamon seem more interested solely in themselves, so negotiating with them will be dangerous going forward. As for the others...do not approach Daemon." He clenched his fists as he remembered what he saw, before sighing "At least, do not approach him to threaten him. That will only get good people hurt." He relented.
He listened to GranDracmon speak about their power. He couldn't argue. The amount of strength they displayed at a glance was enough to worry Toki immensely. He definitely didn't want to get on his bad side. "Well I'm pretty sure we'll figure some things out. I know plenty of people who won't take what's happening sitting down. They'll find out their weaknesses or ways to bring them to their senses. It's all a matter of bringing as many to our side as possibly if you ask me. So we should all find out how to do that. I doubt this will end without some big confrontation, but we'll see what happens."
At GranDracmon's offer to join their cause, Toki sighed a bit in relief, but the Digimon still made him feel immensely uneasy "You're free to join us. I'll remember that this is an alliance to fight the Demon Lords or recruit them to our side." He said. He narrowed his eyes at him, though smiled slyly "Try and alter the deal beyond that, and I'll remember, understand?" He was actually shaking at his pseudo-threat. By himself he didn't stand a chance against GranDracmon. Even if he was at his most powerful, he felt as if he would only lose more than he would gain in a direct battle. Still, he composed himself and bowed "If that's all...take care everyone. I'm sorry things escalated the way they did. If you ever need me for anything, feel free to give me a call. And...all of you did great today. Get some rest, you deserve it." He said. He turned around and stepped through his portal. It closed behind him, and then he was gone.

Katsura looked confused, she did not fully understand what she did wrong. There she stood with a puzzled face, then started giggling just to fit in.
"Both sorts of words?"
Thankfully it looked like everything was calming down once again, allowing Katsura to listen to GranDracmon.
That's it, just stroke GranDracmon's ego and he'd tell you everything you need to know. Now Katsura has found out that GranDracmon indeed is a force rivaling the demon lords. Katsura made her self look like she was sorry for questioning him. Everythinghhe said just confirmed that Katsura's first impressions of the demon lords were true. Entitled manchildren who wants to takeover despite having no sense of cooperation and very little idea what to do with the digital world if successful. Toki said it best which left Katsura to nod encouragingly.
"Lucemon reeeeally loves himself... he's pride right?" You could tell in Katsura's face and tone that it was a pet peeve for her, fortunately she left Lucemon none the wiser. After hearing GranDracmon out, she bowed once again.
"It would be a great honor to work with you, Nyao and I accept. In fact, give me a second. Katsura used that moment to rip off a blank page from her diary, on that piece of paper she scribbled her contact info for Tamernet and offered it to GranDracmon.
"If there's anything you need, let me know."
"And if you ever see a Mephistomon with one arm, please tell me." Now all there was left was waiting to be dismissed and see if GranDracmon had anything to say or ask.
